We go here for drinks and nice outdoor seating. The food is OK, but we don't go there for the food. Mostly drinks. Easy parking at the new garage (should be done summer 2010) right across the street. The hotel offers free parking to patrons visiting the restaurants - which is a great deal! They usually have happy hour specials. Lots of Troegs on draft. If you stop by, the crowd is mixed with hotel patrons, a handful of local biz people and usually young professionals. It's never really packed, so you are sure to get a seat.

Best food I ever had in my hotel room. Period. And for those who need more specifics: tomato bisque was like your favorite pizza in a liquid form. Sound gross, but is delicious. My wife had a salad for starters, it was fresh and well made, plus they put in some hot peppers and small bits of pepperoni -- nice touch. The best part was the turkey-pesto-prosciutto-etc-sandwich: smply delicious. I had to order everything in a box as our baby was sleeping, and take it to our room. Hence the title.

Ok. If you're staying at the Yorktowne Hotel and thinking "Oh! How convenient! A restaurant and bar located right outside the lobby! Let's give this a try!", please reevaluate that decision and go ANYWHERE else. We were in town for a wedding. While the rest of the group checked in, I went down to the bar to avoid that. I walked in to the empty restaurant and was greeted by one of the servers. There was a sign that indicated to please wait to be seated. I asked the server if that was necessary, the restaurant is a ghost town. The server responded "uh i mean whatever." Maybe that's how servers treat guests in the Northeast, I don't know. I opted to go to the bar. "Do you want food or what?" demanded another server who emerged out of nowhere. I said I wasn't sure, and she walked away. Great talking to ya too. When the rest of my group joined me, the server turned bartender began having problems. No one in the restaurant knew what an Old-Fashioned was, which is a pretty common cocktail. He Googled the recipe in the back of the restaurant and came back with Maker's Mark with simple syrup and an orange wedge. He also wasn't sure of the beer on tap. I mean, I don't blame the poor server, who clearly wasn't a bartender. That's fine if they don't have bar staff to work during the day, but why offer a full bar menu if you can't serve? I gave this place a second chance for brunch one day. The potatoes I got (I think they were their signature?) were excellent, but my poached egg was watery and inedible. Overall, pretty terrible experiences.

Awful. I wanted a really good breakfast, but did not get it here. The coffee was not good. My scrambled eggs were dry. My pancakes were hard around the edges. But at least the bacon was good. The atmosphere is very 1980's. When I sat down the TV was turned up loud on some "my baby daddy drama" talk show. I had to ask them to turn it down. I would not eat here again.

Nice atmosphere and got two eggs for 2 bucks. For 5 dollars I got ham and eggs. Decent food and nice atmosphere.

This restaurant is located in downtown York within the Yorktowne Hotel. The meal I had was excellent and the service was terrific. I started with the Tomato Bisque which was great. I don't know what they do to the pieces of tomato that are in the soup but they are an appetizer in themselves. I followed with the house salad which was a little pricey at $8 but well done. I finished with the Pecan crusted salmon and it was as good as I have ever had. The restaurant recently lost their liquor license but they have just instituted a BYOB policy. My years of experience tell me that good restaurants that do not have a liquor license often have better food than other restaurants.

Nice classy atmosphere and great food. The service was great, the Old Yorktowne Hotel was beautiful, I really can't complain about anything. The menu is pretty extensive and has some interesting new American style dishes and great sandwiches. Full bar as well with pretty decent selection.
