Ordered brisket bbq sandwiches for pick up. Went home to uncover dry brisket with no sauce?!!! If it's an option, why wouldn't it be suggested upon ordering? Mission bbq is way better.

I heard about this place and thought I would give it a try..and it was AWESOME! I totally recommend this place. The pulled pork is great and so is the corn bread. Definitely give this place a try!!!

Had a small team dinner catered last night and everything was delicious. Pulled pork, brisket, smoked turkey, baked beans, greens, Mac and cheese, slaw, along with a variety of homemade sauces. Excellent! Enjoyed spending a few minutes talking with SGT Bill Koeler while preparing to eat. Very happy with our choice--everyone had a great time.

Great place. Owners are kind and fun to talk with. My kids had chicken that was to die for. I had fish that was lovely. Ribs weren't to my taste but I'm picky about ribs. I like them fall off the bone tender and they just weren't. Flavor was good though and I loved the sauces. Sides were good too.

I really, really wanted to love this restaurant. I fully support their mission regarding helping veterans. Unfortunately I never got to the point where I could taste the food because service was so horrendous I walked out. For a moment I thought I was on one of those prank TV shows. The young woman overseeing the restaurant at the time of my visit was extremely irritated that I was asking questions about the menu and what is contained in some of the foods. To note, there are some allergy concerns. When I commented that she didn't need to respond with such a snippy attitude she became nastier. She left an awful first impression and I can assure you that I will not return to this restaurant nor will I recommend it to anyone. I hope the owner is mindful of this review and addresses the matter. It's hard enough for small businesses to make it in this economy. Having a negative and unpleasant employee representing your business can really affect ones success.

Great BBQ. I had the pulled pork and it was first class. My travel companion got the Beef brisket and she reports it is really good also. I read the review that said the brisket was like deli meat and I must say they are full of BS or they are eating at some really great delis. The owner talked to me for a bit and the table service was very accomodating and friendly. This is one of the best pork sandwiches I have ever had!!!! Nice and messy just like it should be. I was asking about the smoking process and the guy took me thru the back and showed me how they do it. Everything is hand smoked with real wood (not even a gas smoker). I just love how enthusiastic this place is about food.

Amazing!!! Love the concept and even better reason to come here besides the amazing food and service. Service was better than some of the best places I've ever been to. Polite and friendly makes it a great casual meal. I had the ribs with the bourbon BBQ sauce and they were amazing. The bark was so so so good. Came clean right off the bone. The briskest was tasty. I just would have liked a nice thick slice. But that's just my preference. Yum!!!!!!!!!

Unforgotten bbq, just left there and already forgot about! Was not good at all, our food was warm, the wings were fatty! I could go on and on. Mission Bbq will be my first choice from now on when I'm in the mood for bbq, they pile meat high and their food is fresh!

I'm going to give 3 stars on the optimism they do better. I hate to judge on limited items I've had. I've tried the brisket twice and its stringy and dry, can't chew,I only ate half. A suggestion would be for the chef to eat a piece before he puts on a sandwich. I've tried twice with the hope it would be better , it wasn't , brisket gets 1 star :(

I'm really sad to say I was disappointed, I love supporting local businesses, but this place just was not great. A friend and I arrived on a weekday evening, excited for some BBQ. He's a big ribs fan, and I love pulled pork, so we decided to forgo our regular spot and try this place. We were instructed to sit anywhere so we chose a table towards the back. We ordered sweet teas which were fine. The waitress overheard us discussing our options and let us know they were out of ribs. And sausage. And pretzel rolls. Pretty much half the menu, it seemed. Ultimately, I ended up ordering the pulled pork. It came out on a plate with tons of liquid? I have actually never seen that before. There were four sauces to chose from. None of them were super exciting, but the sweet and tangy livened up the otherwise bland pork. I also had the coleslaw, which had more vinegar than I prefer, and the mac and cheese was dry and had what I thought might be a lot of Italian seasoning. The cornbread was sweet, but okay. My friend ended up ordering the chicken, which looked awesome but was apparently lack luster. He said his baked beans were sub par. He also ordered a piece of catfish which was "okay." Over all, we decided the menu was over priced and sub par. The service was okay, there was only one waitress for the whole place, who was struggling to take care of her tables, take out, phone orders, and all front of the house stuff alone. Poor girl.

I'm only giving this a 3 stars just for the veteran factor here... Thats about it. I been here within the last 6 months. The pit beef and the brisket was not very good. I do not believe they are using the correct cut of meat for brisket. It was like roast beef. The wait was long especially for being like one of 2 people in there. It seemed as though someone just put the food in the microwave to heat up. Mac and Cheese was way too peppery for my taste. It just was not a place I enjoyed. Not to mention kinda pricey and a play off of mission bbq.

Great concept and even better food. I love the small business concept and the fact that it is veteran owned and operated is a huge bonus. The food is just mouthwatering amazing while the dining room is a great reminder of those who serve and pays tribute to those fallen heroes. The owner is involved in numerous local projects that benefit local veterans as well as local veterans groups.

Not that great. 1. The Ribs, they were ok, some parts were a little tough and they had pieces of cartilage in them that at other places I don't get (not sure if it's just the way they are trimmed or cooking method). 2. The Brisket, wasn't very good at all. It remind me of sliced roast beef deli meat that had a tenderizing solution added to it (actually it could pass as deli meat). The texture was really dense and didn't have much of a smoked flavor. 3. The Mac n Cheese. was OK. It had a nice pepper taste to hit but was a little mushy 4. The Greens, They were probably the best thing we had. Good flavor but nothing special and was only given a little cup which was mostly filled with broth. 5. Pulled Pork Sandwich with coleslaw, The coleslaw really over powered this sandwich. You could hardly taste the pork (not much pork compared to the amount of coleslaw on the sandwich). The coleslaw itself was good but was very chunky which made eating the sandwich very difficult 6. Chips, The seasoning was good but the chips themselves reminded me of Pringles and they were very thin. 7. Corn Bread, This was just bad. The corn bread came with a thick cover of what tasted like donut glaze on it. It was way too sweet. Even as a desert this doesn't work. I had high hopes for this place. Other than the corn bread which was really bad, the food was just barely OK. I can't see myself going back, for the price and quality of the food there is much better BBQ to be hand in the general York area.

I was not impressed with my first trip in there, which smelled overly of fake smoke. No one helped me upon entering, and a person that I assume was the owner, sat and talked to someone in a chair and completely ignored me. I received help from some woman who stated she did not work there while she tried to find me a menu to look at, which upon receiving I left. I had a bad experience from a barbecue joint that was fake and used ungodly amounts of liquid smoke and this reminded me of it with the overpowering scent as soon as I walked in. I agree with a lot of what Jennifer M. Stated in her review. Being that this is a veteran owned business, I hope the owners can get it together and get it going. I will give this place another shot down the road because I do like a good barbecue. My biggest thing is an owner completely ignoring me and a staff member, while someone who states "I don't even work here let me try and find you a menu" tries to help me. After reviewing some more, I realize a trend that the good reviews probably know the owners and the bad reviews are honest. One last thing, this place is very pricey for what you get based on the menu. I've been to some very good barbecue joints with long lines and it's fresh and real and their prices don't even come close to this.

today was the first time I ate at never forgotten barbecue... I saw the sign and was immediately compelled to check it out.. when you enter there are several pictures and other military related items.... and just a you step a few more feet in.. that's when it hits you.. this is an establishment committed to the cause.. everyone is friendly and sincerely interested in providing a satisfying meal... having served my country as well ... I distinctly recall those times when I was on a long forever never ending watch.. hoping someone would remember to relief you for chow or bring you something .. or times you would ha e to settle for mess hall slop.... . the result was one thought.. first chance I get I am going to have some barbecue... some fall off the bones ribs.. etc... well this restaurant is exactly every thing I dreamed of... and every bite was mouth wateringly better than the last..... as I finished my meal.. and went to dump my food out I noticed how efficient the whole process was.. .. no clunky trays.. minimal dishes that need cleaning and hardly any waste... clearly the result of an improvise adapt and overcome mentality... with great customer service too... before I made it to the door one of the employees offered some baby wipes for my hands.. which was awesome... then they thanked me for my patronage ... yes I will come back soon... I have also told everyone I know about the place.. several have gone.. and they too were very impressed... I look forward to coming in again soon.....

Never Forgotten BBQ, is a one of a kind restaurant. The first time I walked into the restaurant I was blown away by what I walked into. As myself being a military brat, it just fit. The owner bill is a very decaded man. He loves what he does. And loves his country and it shows threw his restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. Best BBQ I have ever had. The staff is very friendly and take pride in serving there customers. His motto of " we severed you once, now let us serve you again" is true to how he treats his customers and the staff. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for great BBQ to come to Never Forgotten BBQ.
