I love Mission BBQ! The service is speedy, you don't have enough time to fill your drink cup before they're calling your name to pick up your order. I usually get the pulled pork sandwich and it's been consistently delicious each time I've eaten it. Had the pulled chicken sandwich tonight which was delicious but made the bun a little mushy, nothing too bad. The Alabama White sauce is amazing, I get their slaw and put a touch of that sauce in for a nice little kick. I like that they switch up some of the sides seasonally, though I stick to the fries (pretty sure they're fried fresh when you order them) and the mac and cheese. I had some caramel apple side once, I think it was seasonal, and it was delish, tasted like apple crisp. Their BBQ sauces are just okay, none are noteworthy in my book...I typically get the Memphis Belle sauce. I'd love to see them have a seasonal sauce to match those seasonal sides. In my experience, the gals that take your order are either super friendly, greeting you as you walk through the door and asking if they can answer any questions, or just okay and could do a better job at being more welcoming, rather than standing around seeming like they're not interested in letting you know they're available to take your order. Tonight when I went in for take-out, the girl that took my order was very unapologetic that they were out of pulled pork and didn't offer suggestions for an alternative. But, when I went to pick up my order, the woman who packaged my order was very apologetic, must have overheard me originally order the pulled pork sandwich and gave me a coupon for a free sandwich on my next visit, so that made up for it. The folks that work the floor and who call your name to give you your food are always the most polite and helpful folks there. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quick and flavorful BBQ meal in York.

Had the baby back ribs which were so tender. They melted in my mouth. The smoky mountain sauce was a nice complement. The fries and slaw and cornbread were awesome. The staff were very Friendly and helpful. I will return soon!

Went to Mission BBQ with my extended family on our way home from the Baltimore airport. We were all hungry and a little cranky but excited to put ourselves into a meat coma. The place smelled great upon arrival and their menu is expansive with lots of good options. It irked me a little that my husband and I were standing at the counter with our children and no one bothered to greet us or ask if we had been there before, had any questions or offer to help us even though there seemed to be several people all standing behind the counter, just sort of standing there. We managed to place our order and get our beverage cups and squeeze through the tables that are waaaaaay too close together and we sat. And sat. And sat. Even though it was an off time, and they weren't busy, we waited about 15 minutes to be called to the counter to retrieve our orders. Once we got our food, it was excellent. I had beef brisket, pulled pork and some of the spicy cheese sausage. I loved the variety of options of sauces, including some Carolina style vinegar. There was a discernible smoke ring on the meat that I was hoping to see but the meat wasn't so smoky as to have that weird numbing effect on the tongue. The portion sizes were appropriate and I enjoyed my meal. I didn't enjoy feeling like a I was being bombarded with nationalism from every available inch of wall space. I understand the owners are vets and are proud to support our military but it was a little overkill, in my opinion. But I guess that's York County, PA.

Great barbecue. I've had the lean brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, half chicken, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage as well as the smoked Delmonico. The meat is fantastic, the only reason I gave four stars was because I've had better barbecue sides at other restaurants. Fries and Mac and cheese are solid and cornbread is good but I've been disappointed by others. I'll keep going back though.

Nom nom nom. Really good barbeque place! They have gluten free options. I got beef brisket, green beans and French fries. Their fries are not coated in flour. I have a gluten sensitivity, so I'm not sure how someone would do with a serious allergy. Their sauces are great! I like their support for our armed forces as well. It's rare to find!

The service was fast and friendly. The meat was good, but the Ribs were a little cold. A nice ambiance in the restaurant.

Here it is in a nutshell have some BBQ and support Americas finest . How could you go wrong? You couldn't really. I went for lunch and it made my day . Brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausages with tulepo heat sauce corn bread and some sweet tea. Yes sir that's gonna change your disposition .

We are always greeted when we walk in the door. The meat is all delicious! And so is the Mac & cheese. Friendly atmosphere & clean restaurant.

Best bbq since Amarillo. Stopped there on our way to in-laws for the 4th. Stopped because of the reviews. Well they were spot on. Everyone from the counter to the food pickup are very friendly and very helpful especially when being a newbie ordering. There's different meats, sides, sandwiches. There are 6 different sauces to slather on over the meat. Oh my. I ordered "bay be back" ribs with baked beans. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone and the beans were smokey without being dry or too sweet. My husband's brisket sandwich was juicy and full of meat. We loved their delicious, brewed sweet tea. They have other beverages also. Great experience. Favorite new spot to eat when driving to Pa.

Best bbq in the York area. Newer places have popped up since the opening of mission, but they do not compare! I strongly suggest the brisket!! You will not regret it. Great selection of bbq sauces and a wonderful team!

  • Nick S.

Decent food, but be careful what you order. The shredded chicken was excellent (and plentiful). The moist brisket was great. The lean brisket was awful - it looked like a pile of sh*%, it was 70% sloppy fat. The brisket servings were pretty small. Ribs were tasty but you only get 3 tiny ribs - I hope they were from a pig and not a giant rat.

Mission BBQ: For starters, parking a little tight, not too bad. Friendly staff greeting at the door, cafeteria style menu, easy to read. A little pricy, but money goes to a good cause. You get your food, seat yourself, and add whatever BBQ sauce you want! Very nice interior, decorative and bathrooms very clean and nicely decorated! Very, very, friendly staff, have never been to a place where everyone was so nice! The food portions could be a little bigger, and the food was not very above average, but it was a good experience!

First time there. Has the look and feel of Rudy's BBQ in TX. This place pays homage to Armed Service members and first responders. Army-Navy-Air Force paraphernalia abound as well as local police and fire. Every day they play the National Anthem at noon. An old 5 ton outside adds a nice touch as does the greeters in their "victory role" hair do etc. My wife got the pulled pork and baby back rib 2 meat combo. They were generous with both as well as my brisket and jalapeno sausage combo. The sides were green beans and bacon and corn bread was thrown in there too. I know the fries are fresh cut w/skin on. The brisket and sausage were great. The meats come dry with a six pack of sauces at each table. I tried all of them. This was some of the best brisket ever. My wife said the ribs and pulled pork were excellent. Don came over as did the girl in the Victory Role hair. Don explained everything and was knowledgeable and friendly. I hope these people get paid well because they represent the business well. This is a place to go to if you're in the area and I'll be back. Nice job!

  • Scott G.

Nice large servings of well prepared meat. The sides were all very good, especially liked the Mac-n-cheese. The sauces at the table were all unique and fun to taste test. The prices seemed very reasonable for what was served. I appreciate that some donations are going to serve firefighters or vets or something but their whole theme seemed a bit overdone. Couldn't get the word jingoism out of my mind, maybe it's just me, but it made me a bit un-comfortable.

  • Bobby L.

Very good! First time, not the last. Pretty affordable. The sides are expensive for what they are though, but the meats are worth it! I had the 3 meat sample, ribs, pulled pork and moist brisket. The brisket was the best but you won't go wrong with either. Their sauces were great to try too! A must try place! Service was quick too!

Incredible BBQ is made at Mission BBQ. This place was packed for lunch. Hardly a seat available. They have pulled pork & chicken, brisket, ribs etc.. you can make a combo with sides and a soda for about 10 bucks. Great deal. You certainly get enough to fill you up. I ordered the pulled pork which was soo tender, smokey, juicy. The greens beans and BBQ beans where out of this world!! They have 6 different BBQ sauces to coat your meat with. Your meat will be happy when you put some sauce on it! Now what do I do with all these sticky fingers?!

My brother and I tried mission BBQ. It was my first time and we are on a drive to upstate New York. When we drove into the parking lot the place was packed and it was hard to find a spot. when you enter the restaurant you stand in a line in order from the menu. my brother told me that you can get meat with extra fat or lean and I ordered the brisket with extra fat and two sides. I ordered the BBQ beans with pork and coleslaw. On our table there was six different sauces to choose from and all were delicious. The meat was very moist and the meal was very filling. I highly recommend this restaurant that appears to be run by former soldiers.

I've eaten at numerous BBQ places and this place is by far, some of the best. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all tasty! The pulled pork and the smoked turkey are my favorites! The homemade sauces are excellent but the meats are so delicious by themselves that you don't even need the sauces. The quality of food is always consistent and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you like BBQ, you will definitely love Mission BBQ!!!

Really good barbeque for a fast-casual restaurant. I love that you can choose your own sauce at the table. I've enjoyed the pulled pork and bbq chicken.

The menu was so unappealling that we turned around and walked out. We both had extremely high expectations being that we both love BBQ but we sat down on a bench and studied the overhead menu looking fot something to pull us in but it just wasn"t there. Being a newer restaurant, at the time, we certainly expected a bit more of a crowd inside but we fidn"t find that either.

Work was catered today by Mission and it was fantastic. It is the first place since I moved to PA 9 years ago that has edible pulled pork- fab! The brisket was yummy but a little sweet for me. The mac n' cheese was delicious. I will definitely take the fam here!

This was our first visit to this previously unknown to me chain. My overall impression is that whoever runs this place is very serious about running a first-class operation. The decor is well done for a BBQ joint, nice sturdy wood tables and a craftsman toolbox for a napkin dispenser! The staff were very friendly, interacting with our children, inviting them back in the kitchen to watch the smokers being loaded. Family-friendly is an understatement here. We ordered brisket , sausage , chicken and ribs, all of which were excellent. My baked beans side were especially good. They have six sauces to choose from, none of which were overly impressive, but adequate. Great place...

Their brisket and their pork are really good. The sauces help make the taste of your bbq even better. The sides are great as well. I have had salads here too and they are always crisp and fresh, add some brisket to it and it's wonderful! Their corn bread is good too! If you are in the mood for some bbq in a casual environment, seek this place out and give this place a try. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal experience and opinion.

Let me tell you about this place. They always seem to surprise me with their hospitality. The first time, I came with a solid group of people and stayed for hours. Midway through, they brought out some brownies. Today they brought us out peach cobbler! Now about the food - GOOD, GOOD no GREAT!!!! I don't know what they are putting in it but everything is amazing! If you love BBQ, you will love this place! Lastly, the kindness of the team. They are super sweet and personable. I highly recommend this place!

Brisket was good I chose the moist over the lean. Sauces were original, I didn't love any of them but the were all pretty good. I ended up mixing the KC and the Tupelo. Service was quick. You order at the counter then they call your name. Reminds me of the big chain BBQ places I have been to around Dallas. Plenty of room for larger groups but it could be a hassle with everyone picking up there own food and not all eating at once.

Been here 3 times so far. Had my parents they it today and they loved it. They got the 3 meat sampler with cornbread, fries, and coleslaw. I got the moist brisket sandwich, same thing all 3 times.

Best part about Father's Day? Food gift cards! And this past FD earned me a Mission BBBQ gift card which we used yesterday. I thought the food was very good. I had the 2 meat combo. My meat choices were the pulled pork and moist brisket. Both were excellent. Perfect smoke flavor. Lean. Moist. I tried out all the BBQ sauces but my hand's down fav was the Tupelo Honey Heat. M wife had the turkey and the lean brisket. I thought her lean brisket was a bit dry, the turkey was very tasty. As sides we had the mac n' cheese (real cheesy taste) and the baked beans (a bit too sweet but super flavor). Cornbread was near perfect (I don't like super sweet cornbread, this one was just a bit sweet). Good service, open view of the kitchen and prep area, fill your own drinks, clean. Kudos on the corporate support of military personnel and first responders with restaurant decor that matched that theme. I gave this a Yelp raying of 4 Stars but it's more like a 4.5. Very worthy of return trips and better than Smokey Bones (located at the next intersection).

Best barbecue I've ever had! Blows famous daves and smokey bones out of the water! Great service, very very friendly people! Loved the atmosphere and the patriotism! Loved the whole thing, definitely going back!! MERICA!!!!

  • Bill H.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. I had the brisket and beans with bacon and a side of slaw. The brisket was tender, tasty and not over smoked. I chose the Smokey Mountain BBQ sauce and it was outstanding. I did not care for the cornbread but that was a minor issue. I especially liked the opportunity to purchase my drink cup, with two dollars of the purchase price donated directly to our wounded warriors. My family and I will return often.

Out first visit to the restaurant and it was a good experience. A little pricey but very good food. I got 5 ribs of baby backs which was fall off the bone tender and very meaty. The green beans and bacon was very good too. My husband had the beef brisket which was very moist and tasty. The fries were like home made. You have a choice of 6 different sauces you can put on your sandwich or ribs.

I have pretty high standards for BBQ, and mission BBQ exceeded my expectations. Their staff is very friendly, the food comes out quick, hot and delicious. The restaurant decor honors the men and women who serve our country in all capacities. At noon they stand for our national anthem -- It's pretty fantastic.

This was my first time eating at Mission in York, PA. The ribs were great and having different sauces to try was great. The only issue I have is I was slightly disappointed there was no military discount for service members/veteran as this organization does support wounded warriors.

Visited march 9, 2014: pay first bbq house in the mid-atlantic military style. (You order and pay, they put it on a tray or in a bag, and you grab a table or head on out.) The good: Pulled pork was as good as any in york county, with a wide range of sauce options at the tables (Texas Worcestershire, smokey mountain (i would call a brown sugar style) memphis-style, a less-sweet kansas city, a maryland old-bay style. And a mississippi hot-honey sauce.) Excellent pulled pork The Brisket is excellent, and is superior to smokey bones "for show only" brisket. The corn bread tasted good though some would say under sweet. The bad: 1. The mac&cheese is watery 2. The baked beans are average. And 3 they lack a true soothingly sweet BBQ sauce ala sweet baby rays, or a classic style kansas city sauce. I would definitely come back... but I might bring my own brown-sugar sauce with me.

Love love love this place. Always great food with a great atmosphere. The food is spectacular and their sauces so regionally specific and makes you feel like you are in the Chesapeake Bay or in the Bayou. You cannot go wrong

Stopped in for lunch the other day. My only complaint was the food could have been hotter. I had the beef brisket (moist) and moist it was. Fell apart. Very good. Wife had the pulled pork and she thought it was nice and moist. Being a first responder and prior service it was nice to see how they appreciate those that serve. They might not be the greatest Barbeque joint around but they are way better than any chain dump that only worries about corporate profits. Noise level was reasonable. We could actually have a civil conversation. Service was quick. Place was clean.

Awesome food! Love the national anthem at noon. All the different BQQ sauces u can put on. Watch out before entering the guys bathroom. There are pictures on the walls. That's all I will say. ;)

Brisket, Brisket, Brisket!!! Unless you go to Tennessee or North Carolina, hands down the best smoked meats on the east coast. Forget pit beef, this is REAL BBQ ! Not like Damon's, Smokey Bones, Memphis Blues or anyplace else that has come to this area. You can get spare & baby back cut ribs. Brilliant Sauces, great lemonade and sweet tea. The sausages, original and jalapeño cheddar are also off the hook. Sweet, buttery cornbread. Wow!!! If you can't find something to love on this menu... You will find something that you love!

This place ROCKS! I was highly impressed with everything we had! I have been telling my girl we need to go back. I Live in DC, but was visiting her family in York, PA! Being a Marine, is nice to see people appreciating our military! The Brisket goes into my top 5 list hands down. Conrbread was moist, not crumby at all! It had a great Texture. Mac & Cheese was very good as well! The sauces were on point, everything was to my liking! I highly encourage you to try this place!

Terrific service, so far we can say the brisket, pork and sausage are wonderful. Nice to have a real bbq place in York. Choice of sauces is really fun and the cornbread is excellent. Their commitment to the Veteran's is fantastic

Great BBQ, I would say the best in York County! Everything has been great every time I have been there. Sweet Tea is Amazing! Reason for the 4 stars would be just towards the service. Sometimes the staff that takes orders do not pay attention that well... That can cause some errors when picking up order.

Finally a good BBQ place in York. The food is excellent. They have 6 sauces to choose from, and you can sample anything on the menu. There are seasonal sweets and sides too which can be very tasty. Definitely recommended.

Back for a visit to York and got to try this place for the first time. Not too bad. I got a brisket sandwich and topped it with some of the tupelo honey BBQ sauce. Went on a rainy Friday night so there was a bit of a line, maybe like a 10 minute wait. While we waited though there were people handing out free samples of the pulled pork and jalapeño cheese sausage. Once we ordered, the service was pretty quick. The others reviews were right on that the food wasn't piping hot. It wasn't stone cold either, but i was able to dive right into my sandwich. They are all about taking care of their customers and giving heartfelt thanks if they see you're a public service member. My father (a longtime fire chief) was wearing his fire company sweatshirt and they gave him a voucher for a free sandwich along with thanking him for his service. I wasn't too impressed with their kids menu, there was only 3 items. Then again, I do have a picky child that is hard to please. She thoroughly enjoyed the French fries, but left her Mac and cheese sit. In the end, it's not a bad BBQ joint. It's definitely better than some of the others out there in the area. I'd stop again if I was out on the west end.

I heard they were supportive of Veterans. The stories were right. When they found out I was an old Marine, I could not have been treated better. And the food was great too. I had a pulled pork sandwich, and it was stacked really high with pork. Much more so than other bbq places I have been. The staff was great, and friendly. Absolutely going back.

Pulled pork was spectacular, brisket was pretty good. Cole slaw on the side was pretty good. Moist cornbread. Very cool atmosphere and vibe. Great service for a quick service restaurant. Will surely be back when I'm in the area

The dryest brisket I have ever tasted. Sauces average, and salad average. Sweet tea was good. Will go back in a pinch for the jalapeno cheese sausage. Services was very quick and friendly.

Food was very good and staff was friendly. I was not wow'd by the staff yelling the greeting it the door from across the restaurant. It was annoying when I was at the door and more so when we were eating. That said, the cornbread was the best I've had in a long time.

DELICIOUS! Knowledgeable staff at the front, amazing food, excellent service at the table. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The glass bottled soda was such a cool touch! Family friendly, awesome decor, good music, and the message to support our troops and first responders! Did I mention the food was amazing???

Great brisket, and jalapeño sausage , corn bread , beans, and slaw , but then there is the ribs . All the meat comes "dry " and you get to choose what type of BBQ sauce if any . Personally I like to add the sauce to the meat in the last 5 mins of grilling . That said for a restaurant , missions method works fine and is certainly better for take out which is how I ordered everything. The ribs were fall of the bone moist tender and well smoked. I liked the hot/sweet sauce on them but would not need it. I have tried the pulled pork, its not eastern carolina grade but you don't have the 6 hour drive either. I hear the turkey is very good as well but it's not thanksgiving dog , and beef and ribs please. The long and short of it great BBQ is available in the York area.

I think it was a great place. Nice staff and quick service even on a Friday night. I love the pulled pork and various sauces. Not a big fan of the Mac and cheese. Probably should get a different side. But overall a great place and atmosphere. Definitely reccomend trying! I know I will be going back again!

The meat and cornbread are amazing and the option of seven different BBQ sauces is brilliant.

I decided to stop in and see if they really had good BBQ. Unfortunately it was just OK. Nothing special, nothing extra, just OK. Started with the 2 meat sampler, mac and cheese and green beans with bacon. To Drink, the sweet tea. (pulled pork, and the brisket were the meats). Everything was warm but not hot. The beans are definitely canned with some bacon added, but very canned tasting. Limp and overcooked. Mac N Cheese was tasty, but luke warm... Would have been better Hot.! The Corn Bread on the side was dry and not that flavorful. The Brisket was ok, but not anything to rave about, and the pulled pork was the same. Tried all the different sauces, and the Tupelo Honey Heat was the tastiest. The Bill was close to $15 which was a little high in my opinion, but I guess not outrageous. Final consensus, is that I won't be rushing back for more anytime soon.

Good stuff! 1st time, had brisket, pulled pork, corn bread, fries, creamed corn, cornbread and Mac and cheese. Everything was much better than smokey bones, and reasonably priced. The brisket was really good, almost Texas good, but the pulled pork was better. All the sides tasted home made, but the creamed corn and corn bread were the big winners. Most importantly, the sweet tea was on point. Well done.

We really appreciated the patriotic theme; hence the 2 star rating for ownership paying tribute to our military and First Responders. Now on to the food. IMO a good BBQ joint must have a wood smell. Mission had none; not a good sign. We felt the food had a steam table quality to it as everything, in fact, was sitting in steam tables. As pointed out in other reviews, anything that's supposed to be hot is served barely warm. I had the St. Louis ribs; 5 tiny "bones" for $10 with the meat equivalency of 1 normal St. Louis rib. My wife said her pulled pork had reached room temperature and tasted primarily of congealed fat. She couldn't eat it. I tried it and compared the taste to that of softened butter. Neither meat had any hint of having been near a wood smoker; no smoke ring, no bark. My wife did have a kind word for their cole slaw; pronouncing it, "Not bad." If you're in the York PA/Baltimore North area and want true BBQ try Andy Nelson's in Hunt Valley.

Very good food and decent portions for a reasonable price. Pulled pork with Memphis blues sauce outstanding. Tasty homemade Mac and cheese along with great sweet tea. A favorite.

I agree with the reviews their MD locations have gotten. Food served warm not hot. Brisket dry. Your their to donate not get a bargain. If you like a 100% non vinegar like sauce don't come here. Limited menu.

Before I comment on the food let me start by saying my wife and I tried Mission BBQ 3/17/14 in York PA for the first time and were very impressed with how clean it was as soon as we walked in. From the moment you walk in the customer service is spot on! The cashiers offered samples and take orders with smiles on there faces, no small task in todays market. While I waited on my food another employee took a moment to tell me about the company and the fact that there are no freezers or microwaves in the kitchen because all the food is fresh! But one employee named Jackie made this our new favorite place. She was working the floor making sure our experience was perfect and offering to refill drinks etc. She was not only pleasant but when we engaged her in some lite conversation she was like talking to an old friend! Almost every other restaurant in York County could take a few tips on hospitality from this young lady. Aside from the wonderful experience of meeting Jackie the food was 5 stars as well. If you ever watch those bbq cooking shows and think you wish you could get food like that near where you live, well if you are in York county PA you can now! Honestly when you learn about the company, try the food and meet the great staff you will agree that 5 stars is not enough to rate this wonderful restaurant. I wish them the best. One last note the staff do not work for tips and you pay when you order however you may want to bring a few bucks in your pocket because if you get Jackie you will want to leave a tip!

This is the best BBQ I've ever had... the pulled pork, brisket and ribs are to die for... fall off the bone, finger liken, mouth watering goodness. The sweet tea is wonderful and the staff is awesome friendly. You'll enjoy this place.

I've been here several times throughout the year and have always had a consistently good experience. The staff are always very friendly and polite. The food is consistently fast and good. They do a good job keeping the tables clean and am excellent job of keeping pinups in the men's restroom. Recommendation: Hot Honey and Smoky Mountain on a pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac n cheese.

Freaking delicious. Finally a good BBQ joint in central PA. Their meats are delicious, tender, juicy. I had the baby back ribs today and pulled pork sandwich with green beans and coleslaw on the side. Everything was good!! I was especially pleasantly surprised with their green beans because I wasn't expecting much. Their BBQ sauces are also good, they have 6 different kinds at each table for you to pick and choose. I like their selection of glass bottled sodas made with real sugar. The black cherry soda is delish. They also have the standard fountain drinks. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, and the dining area is clean. The decor is very pro-military. Like I said before, this place is freaking delicious. My mouth is watering while writing this review. Try this place out if you're in the area

So excited to finally have a great BBQ close to home! Mission BBQ reminds us of our favorite BBQ place back home. The beef brisket here is tender, moist and flavorful. We always ask to have it sliced thick. Six choices of BBQ sauce is sure to please everyone in your group! Not a fan of the corn bread, but the seasoned fries are really good! My husband loves the cheesy potatoes :) Give this restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed! Very clean restaurant; and the staff are always friendly!

OK, I'm a bit of a BBQ snob. I married a lady from Mississippi who introduced me to the best of Memphis style BBQ. My "go to" place on the planet is the Little Dooey in Starkville, MS. Mission BBQ is not that good but it is a pretty damn good substitute for up here in YankeeLand. I was here at noon when they play the National Anthem. Look, I'm a card carrying ACLU liberal, but there is something great about standing up with your hand on your heart with thirty people you don't know as the Star Spangled Banner plays. Love it!

Some of the best brisket I have ever had. I recently moved to York from Atlanta and was bummed about leaving one of my favorite BBQ restaurants there. So when I got here and saw Mission BBQ, I was skeptical... How good can BBQ be in PA?? I have been twice and had the brisket both times (tried both lean and moist). Extremely flavorful with good bark. The sauces are very good and the potato salad is fantastic. I love the military theme as well. The service is wonderful- They get the food out very fast and are quick to clear your table when you're finished, all with a friendly smile. This will be a regular lunch spot for me and made my move to York much easier to make.

Good service and very friendly employees. If you have ever had REAL regional BBQ(especially Texas brisket) don't have high expectations. Ok BBQ is better than no BBQ though right? Moist brisket: Tender but not juicy. No bark or smoke flavor. Texture was off. When slicing through it with a fork it just fell apart into tiny pieces like shredded beef. Spare ribs: Just ok. Not much of a flavor profile and no bark to speak of. The texture was between teeth marks and fall off the bone. Jalapeño cheese sausage: Nice! Had a good flavor with a slight kick. Juicy with a snappy casing. Both the beans and coleslaw were good but nothing special. Enjoyed the cornbread but no honey available. They were passing out samples of the pulled pork. The small bit I had was dry and lacking flavor. They do have several types of sauce to drown out the mediocrity. Probably as good as it gets for indoor BBQ. I was told they start the meats at 250 and finish them off at 375 so that in itself is a huge limitation. If I wasn't spoiled by really good BBQ, would think it was great.

I eat here so often they know me by now! Some of the best BBQ i've had on the East Coast. The pulled port, brisket, turkey and sausage are the stars at this place. Let alone the BBQ sauces. They are all delicious! I"m a Navy vet and I really appreciate all the support that is shown here. One of the things that I love and that other people have positively commented on, was that at noon everyday they stand for the national anthem. You don't get that at most places and I think we need to do that more. I saw a comment from someone below complaining about too much nationalisim. Lady, I don't think this country has enough of it! Enough of my rant, eat here, it's frickin awesome!

Amazing customer service and the brisket was INCREDIBLE! Make sure to ask for the baja bold sauce, it was my favorite. Will definitely be returning!

Mission hits the trifecta of fast service, great BBQ and it is clean from top to bottom. I wish I could get a beer to go with it.

Terrific service, so far we can say the brisket, pork and sausage are wonderful. Nice to have a real bbq place in York. Choice of sauces is really fun and the cornbread is excellent. Their commitment to the Veteran's is fantastic

DELICIOUS! Knowledgeable staff at the front, amazing food, excellent service at the table. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The glass bottled soda was such a cool touch! Family friendly, awesome decor, good music, and the message to support our troops and first responders! Did I mention the food was amazing???

Great BBQ, I would say the best in York County! Everything has been great every time I have been there. Sweet Tea is Amazing! Reason for the 4 stars would be just towards the service. Sometimes the staff that takes orders do not pay attention that well... That can cause some errors when picking up order.

Finally a good BBQ place in York. The food is excellent. They have 6 sauces to choose from, and you can sample anything on the menu. There are seasonal sweets and sides too which can be very tasty. Definitely recommended.
