I had never been impressed with Maple Doughnuts. Yet everything we ate at this location was "yabadabadoo"licious! They had fruity pebbles doughnuts for goodness sake! I'm going back for more of these! My friends want some too! The store itself reminds me of the 1950's or like a restaurant from The Simpsons. Inside, there's a table shaped like a maple leaf and close to the outside sitting area hangs a giant doughnut (see picture). The coffee, which is made in Philly, was amazing. The doughnuts tasted like the equivalent of fresh grocery store doughnuts which make Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme seem like old frosted truck tires. These are the creme of the crop doughnuts. They are big, creative, fresh, and covered in tons of your favorite topping. Most importantly their coffee pairs amazingly along side these donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are also like your classic fresh diner sandwiches, but maybe a little bit better than that. Lastly the employees were very helpful and happy. I hope this place lasts forever!

Fantastic Donuts! Miss being in York to eat them every day! My father brings them down about twice a month. Well done!

maple donuts are to york county what central park is to new york city. ok...that might be a stretch, but you see where i'm going with this....maple donuts are donuts to york countians. the classic maple glazed donut is pure perfection - dense and light at the same time, the perfect amount of glaze, and incidentally the only kind of donut that doesn't make my teeth "zing" on contact. i'm not an adventuruous donut eater so i can't really comment on the other 57 varieties, but they look good! coffee is ok, and the atmosphere at the donut shop is classic donut shop. buy fresh buy local! (does this slogan count for junk food?) lol i don't know but i'm going to say yes!

Today is Fasnaucht Day and where else to get some Fasnauchts for a new beginner, Maple Donut. The selection was good and the taste was awesome BUT I did have one major issue, I got shorted a Fasnaucht. If it cost more than a buck, I would gripe but it is what it is. Next time I go in, I will count better.

None of those fancy schmancy gourmet donuts here. Just straight up, damn good, old school donuts. Best red velvet donut I've ever had. A quick pull off of I-83 at Exit 34 and you've got the perfect sugar bump for your morning or whenever - they're open 24-hrs.

Maple Donuts of east York is about as awesome as a doughnut shop can get. First, this location is about authentic as a doughnut shop can ever hope to be. Rounded counters, efficient veteran waitresses, and a building from the 1960's. It's a building that is worthy of a doughnut shop. More importantly, the donuts. 58 varieties. BIG, unlike Dunkin's. Fresh. Flavorful. The real deal. I can't say I've had all 58 varieties, but the few I have are fantastic. Price today (Sunday) was $7.99 for the baker's dozen; a sign out front advertised $6.00/dozen on Mondays and Tuesdays. Boston Cremes and sugar doughnut went down without any complaints from the taste buds; kids inhaled their chocolate glazed. Coffee was excellent also. Best part of the deal was, that this was a 10 PM dinner after a trip back to Ephrata from Richmond, VA. Wife made the suggestion somewhere around Baltimore, and a phone call confirmed that they were open 24 hours. Jackpot! Dinner never tasted so good. I can't wait to make a return trip some lazy summer morning! I'm just glad it isn't located closer to home.

Mmmmm donuts. Cute little cafe with yummy morning treats. Dozens of choices, but can't go wrong with basic glazed. Tender fresh pastry with just sweet enough glaze. Luckily I don't come up this way too often, cause I can't pass by without a stop!

I live 2 minutes from this fine establishment and it will be my favorite childhood memory and adult sweet spot for the rest of my life. The donuts here are made like fastnachts and have a dense, super rich style about them. You can get virtually any flavor you can think of, but the classic glazed or devil's food will always have a special place in my heart. Do yourself a favor and go in after midnight when the "Day Olds" are $2. Nothing will disappoint you here, I guarantee it. THE BEST.

We wanted an alternative to the traditional wedding cake, and my husband had sentimental ties to Maple Donuts in York, PA. We ended up with 14 dozen donuts for a fraction of what a cake would cost. With a couple of cake stands, we ended up with a cute donut display. Every guest loved not only the idea but the donuts themselves. Working with Carrie at Maple Donuts, we selected a variety of donuts for our special day. She worked with us to match our wedding colors and select flavors that would appeal to a variety of guests. In addition, she checked in with me prior to the wedding and took payment over the phone, which was immensely helpful since someone else picked up the donuts for me on our wedding day.

I love maple donuts, better than DD any day! Plus it's local so that's a win. The donut shop itself is old school and I hope it never changes (I have faith that it won't!). Plenty of seating inside as well as picnic tables with umbrellas outside. Ample parking. Open 24/7. Take a photo with the giant donut outside. The donuts are fantastic- fresh, soft, awesome flavors and a huge selection with something like 60 varieties!! You always get a bakers dozen, 13 donuts for under $10. Well worth it. They also offer some prepackaged donuts, assorted variety boxed donuts, bottled drinks, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, etc.

Gross. Like a crappy Dunkin donuts. Bland, dry and excessively sweet. The only thing worst than the donuts is the atmosphere.

Fresh, warm, delicious homemade donuts. Incredible flavors, wonderful retro donut shop, with sweet friendly servers. Really good coffee too. Not enough of these places left, and the donuts are so much better then the chains. About $1 each if you are only getting one or two. They also have breakfast sandwiches, sodas, and muffins. Yum.

One of the Best in the area One of the few places that has a decent maple glaze. Great raised (good sized) donuts. Go in early and eat them hot!

Don't get me wrong, the donuts here are good. But are they outstanding? I find these donuts to be pretty ordinary. My brother took me here and told me that the donuts were amazing. The donut shop was very busy when we got there on a Friday morning. The styling of the restaurant definitely dates back a few decades. There are two large shelves with every variety of donut, ranging from chocolate to jelly to Boston creme. I liked my donuts. They tasted better than what I would get at Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. But I came in with the expectation that the donuts would be really special. They just seemed typical for what you would get at a donut store. In conclusion, you should stop here for your coffee and donut fix if you are in the neighborhood. Is it worth a detour? Maybe.

The donuts were good, not great. I went around 8 pm on a Thursday, so maybe they weren't as fresh as they could be. I tried several kinds and the s'mores donut was surprisingly my favorite. The fancy donut (chocolate raised w/ sprinkles) was good, pretty classic. I was disappointed in the creme filled w/ chocolate icing donut. These are usually my favorite, but the creme tasted weird. It's hard to find any donuts that live up to Beiler's in Philly at Reading Terminal.

The coffee sucks, but who cares? These are the best donuts in the WORLD! Its not a question. The Cherry Bomb, the Carmel Apple, the Creamcheese, the Chocolate iced Devils food, The Coconut custard (not vanilla creme but custard like boston creme) - and finally the Key Lime. Everytime my colleagues hear I am going to York, I am forced to pickup two dozen. I wrap the boxes super tight in plastic overnight, then show at work first thing and unleash the hounds. They are still super fresh. I have to admit I have eaten a dozen myself over the course of a day. There is NO better donut in the world. It is right here. The search is over.

Awesome selection of donuts! I have yet to try one that I don't like. Whenever my husband and I have guests, we always have them try a maple donut! They are quite creative with their flavors...cookies and cream, fruity pebbles, chocolate caramel pretzel, etc. So good!

Old fashioned goodness. Great quality. Not a bunch of air. Very dense and generous with glaze. My favorite is the zebra! Chain donut places just can't compare.

Go here. Order donuts. Eat. Drink coffee. Repeat often!! Service was great, parking was a breeze, and the people talked funny. I am from the South, but still enjoyed it all!!

Not impressed. Tried 2 different donuts and to me they were rather bland. I think Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme, in that order, are much better. Price was average for donuts and the store was very clean. Service not rude but not friendly either.

Best donuts in York. They're also open all night. The freshest donuts are made in the early morning hours so going here after the bars close is an experience in itself.

Delicious. Great selection of well-crafted doughnuts. Their maple doughnut is particularly tasty, as well as the old-fashioned cake doughnuts. This location has a great retro coffee shop seating area where you can enjoy their top-notch doughnuts and marginal coffee. The 50's orange motif if amazing and completely compensates for the average coffee. By way of warning: steer clear of the peanut butter flavored doughnuts--the flavor is way, way off. Bottom line: I enjoy getting copious amounts of their delicious doughnuts whenever I visit my brother who lives nearby. Skip the coffee and peanut butter flavored confections. I sometimes buy the day old doughnuts and whip up a batch of doughnut pudding (think bread pudding made with doughnuts).
