Good vegetarian options and an incredibly dry-humored waitress, who teased my dad and made him laugh. Strangely, they had veggie panini, veggie wrap, veggie sandwich, veggie pasta, but no veggie burger? Oh well, I can't complain. The bread basket was a nice treat and included some sort of spice bread, really moist corn bread, and some white rolls (which were my least favorite).

We went here for the first time. The menu is HUGE! I ordered the Special which was Chicken Marsala. It was fabulous. Everyone was pleased with their choices also. The French fries came sparkling in a silver cup that looked gourmet. An effort was really made on presentation. The atmosphere is pleasant. The food was good, service was OK not great. The desserts are not made in house and seemed factory-like but were still good. Overall pleased and will return.

This was the first time Yelp let us down, but we find out why. Recent owner changed a ton about this diner. Fired the baker, new chef and new fast food mentality = gross food. Little is made here. Most food is frozen and microwaved or nuked except eggs and a bit more. Don't let Yelp reviews fool you. This place has changed. Want fast, gross, food? Stop here.

I love this place. it's clean and semi-fancy looking on the inside, they have a decent selection of desserts, and an expansive menu... not to mention that seemingly 'full' bar! I got myself a midor sour from there! awesomeness!! and they're open 24 hrs?! me like! i have yet to have breakfast there, but i'm sure it's just as good as any other diner. i'll let you know when i find out. on the down side, sometimes the service can be off... slow, or like once we had a very angry busboy... *eeh* but otherwise, i really like this place and for the most part, the service is standard.

What an awesome diner. Stopped in for a quick to go meal and was pleasantly surprised. Food was out of this world. The only issue and I should have checked was no plastic ware with my to go order. Other than that the food was fantastic! Gyro was stuffed with fresh got meat and the sauce was very authentic. The homemade mashed potatoes were to die for. The portions were unbelievable. I was more than satisfied with the meal and the cost was reasonable as well. Would definitely return & recommend!

To start off I am from Long Island where we tend to be a bit snobbish when it comes to our diners. That being said, this diner is not a bad diner, nor is it a great diner, it is however, a good diner. The prices are decent and they are able to seat large crowds easier than most places. I always went for the breakfast meals here. Eggs, pancakes, coffee, and toast was my usual norm. The corned beef hash tasted like it came out of a can. Their lunch wraps were often overstuffed, which for some is a good thing while other times it can be a detraction as it makes it difficult to eat. My girlfriend loves their french onion soup (crock and all) while I enjoy the chili on a cold day. They have no idea what an egg cream is, but I won't hold that against them, the diner is in Pennsylvania after all! Also don't trust the Greek food, my friends have not given me good stories! My biggest axe to grind is that they are not open after 11pm, a big turn off if you call yourself a diner!

Holy balls, this place is kind of amazing. First off, the food was really good. Second of all, the prices were super reasonable, verging on...inexpensive. 7 people, 2 appetizers, 7 entrees, 6 desserts, and drinks...I spent less than $125.00. HOLY BALLS. The food was super good - hearty, huge portions, delicious. The desserts, though, are the true star. Don't miss the red velvet cheesecake, the bread pudding, and the tiramisu mousse. UNGH.

Amazing FOOD and service! Our waitress brought out our food in less than 10 minutes which was bonus since we were traveling on the road. I had the Fried chicken sammi with Sweet potato fries with a huge side of Ranch. The fries were very HOT and fresh! The chicken sandwich was HUGE! I only ate half. My partner had the Gyro which, the pita bread tasted homemade unlike the pre made packaged kind. He also had a side of crab corn chowder. He said it was similar to a clam chowder and very tasty! We also ordered the Chocolate Mousse Cup! OMG it wad to die for!! Will be back if we are ever in the area. Love the great friendly FAST service this place had to offer!

Food was great. Staff was friendly. You can get bourbon with breakfast. They substituted veggies for my hash browns, as I am not a carber. This is the only place on our 2 week vacation that we visited 2 times. Do not hesitate to eat here!! Top shelf diner. Did I mention bourbon and breakfast?

Visited the HD factory and looked for a local eatery. Good dinner, Cuban Panini and Chicken Strawberry Salad. Excellent service. $4.00 for a 12 oz. Bud Light a little steep, but a nice meal and "diner" atmosphere.

Solid food but nothing remarkable. My parents love nearby Weiner World but I wanted to try a place with a less unfortunate name. I consulted Yelp and Lyndon diner seemed to have a good reputation. Dad said:"The portions are ridiculous" as in way too big and he was sorta right. Coffee was fresh. Waitress did decent but not stellar. Had to ask for coffee refills. Food was just ok. I hate to say it because I was hoping to shake my family free of Weiner World....but Weiner World food is just as good and half the cost. I think given the choice between the two I would still go with Weiner World. Also I ordered a bagel and realized just now that I never got the bagel but I paid an extra dollar for it. I don't think that oversight would happen at Weiner World but I shall continue to explore alternative breakfast haunts in the big metropolis of York PA. While breakfast was good, the chocolate eclairs I got to go were awful. That's the only time in my whole life I have thrown away a chocolate pastry but it tasted like wax instead of chocolate. Skip the eclairs.

Ate breakfast...eggs, bacon, toast was standard and good. Didn't realize I was also getting big, fat sausage links...I'm not a sausage lover, but they looked good. :). My pancakes weren't done, which made me sad... 50's diner atmosphere. Big restaurant, great service.

My memory of this wonderful little diner will forever be associated with my hubby's friend removing his shoes and socks outside to show us his big toes. An amazing sight, his big toes: one a blackened nail bed with its nail hanging on for dear life only by a cuticle thread and completely surrounded by angry red flesh; the other nail bed was also blackened but the nail was still very much intact. I was the only one in the group who wanted to see this before breakfast (actually, I was the only one who wanted to see this, period) but I was outvoted and settled for a post-breakfast viewing instead. Fortunately, there isn't much that spoils my appetite and I was still able to enjoy my Greek egg-white omelette while occasionally imagining what this dear friend's troubled toes might look like. Would they resemble the dark, purpley-brown kalamata olives in my omelette? Were they oozing like melted cheddar or were they more like Feta crumbles? Did this really begin with putting too much mileage on a new pair of shoes at Disney World? I sensed that my taste buds were becoming suspicious after my wild thoughts on fungal anomalies. Anyway, my omelette was huge and included 2 slices of generously buttered wheat toast and hash browns. I wouldn't order the Greek omelette again, probably because I didn't like the addition of kalamatas. That may be a result of imagining this friend's toes based on the unforgiving and morbid descriptions provided by his family before I actually saw said toes. The hash browns were cooked the way I like them, slightly golden brown with a bit of crispness and not greasy; delicious. Some of the other meals in our party included French toast, eggs Benedict with crab meat, and pancakes. The eggs Benedict was tasty and the server brought out extra Hollandaise on request. The French toast had significantly less plate presence than the omelette and eggs Benedict. There were 3 slices and they were definitely on the smallish side. Overall, the food was tasty. It was typical diner fare and although it was well prepared and flavorful, there was nothing overly spectacular about it. While my experience may have been somewhat tainted by my anticipation of seeing necrotic toes, I would say that the food was a solid 3+ stars, service 4+ stars, and the selection was huge, earning 5 stars for variety.

Came for a late lunch/early dinner last Saturday. Great server who was very friendly. I've had breakfast here several times and loved it. For this meal, I had an open face hot pastrami special with Swiss and fries. Pretty good. Meat was tasty, sandwich was good. My mom had a liverwurst sandwich on rye with mustard and onions, and she was pleased. She would have preferred the red onions were sliced thinner, but it was a minor issue. My oldest daughter had a BLT w mashed potatoes and gravy. She loved the sandwich which was large w a ton of bacon. The potatoes were fine. My other daughter had the kids hamburger...a very thick patty, and a little dry. She also had the mashed potatoes. Big servings with with mashed potatoes...neither could finish them. Again, server was great...came back to offer desert to kids based on their orders. We took one ice cream sundae-- vanilla, whipped cream per daughter's request. She loved it... Breakfast is awesome, lunch/dinner is fine. Great service and huge menu.

My favorite breakfast in York. Their hash browns are my favorite. Wheat toast is almost like a multigrain which I love.

Like most diners, Lyndon Diner has an amazing selection of food on its menú. It was late in the evening when I arrived and I gambled on the seafood combo. The menú stated it consisted of broiled salmon, shrimp, scallops, and a crab cake. I was somewhat disappointed when my waitress returned a few minutes later stating they were out of shrimp. Shrimp is my favorite when it comes to seafood. The options were to add more scallops (my least favorite seafood) or order something completely different. I wanted a crab cake before I head back west, so I stayed with the seafood combo, extra scallops and all. The platter was plentiful and the sides of sweet potato tots and baked apples added to the experience. Even without the shrimp I was glad I stuck with my order.

Like your typical diner it offers a large array of foods and packs a punch when it comes to portion size. I was happy to know that I could get certain lunch/dinner items at breakfast. You just have to ask them to see if they have it ready or not. I had a BLT, a salad and a large bowl of chicken soup during this visit. The BLT was packed with bacon, the toast was perfectly toasted and the lettuce and tomato were nice and fresh. The salad was fresh and presented on a nice clear salad plate. The chicken soup was tasty and it was actually a little thicker than the way I am used to or prefer, however, it was good. Over all my visit was a good one and I will definitely be back when I am in the mood for a hearty meal. Thank you for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal experience and opinion.

It's been hit or miss for me :/ Breakfast and salads *great* Greek dishes *don't bother* Deserts *all that I have had have been good* Most recently 9/20 our table ordered: Spaghetti and meat balls.....very good Chicken wrap.....very good Hot turkey sandwich.....{{crappy}} In fact, the cooked apples were hotter. WTH? Figures it was MY meal. So here is the deal.... it was kinda cool outside and I was looking for comfort food. The dang sandwich was less than lukewarm AND the gravy had NO flavor. God sakes I miss FLAVORFUL food with real spices. Of course replacement was offered but why should I have to wait for a meal that should have been right from the start. It was removed from the bill. I will not be eating here again EXCEPT for breakfast.

Fast fast fast. We hit it at the right time and breakfast came out before I finished my first cup of coffee. Breakfasts were huge. I had the corned beef hash and DH had the breakfast special. He got through more of his than I did but even between the two of us the pancakes didn't get finished. And we like big breakfasts!! The food itself was solid diner breakfast food. I ordered over medium and one egg was perfect while the other was somewhat overdone. Hash browns fine and pancakes were good. Sausage is huge links. Total cost about $20. Cost and size added the extra star to the fine three star food.

This restaurant gives a very classic and true diner experience. The design comes mostly from the 50's styled diners with an over abundance of shiny chrome and numerous neon lights. They serve breakfast here all day long and the menu is huge. However, I didn't give it 5 stars because although big, the menu still seems very plain to me, as there isn't any eye catching dinner options at this restaurant, just the typical dinners you expect to find at an old person's restaurant. I also feel that the food quality isn't all that spectacular but still good enough for me to comeback every now and then and still be content.

As my friend and I were perusing the menu trying to decide, one of the diners behind us asked if alcohol was being served. This was around 9am, but the answer was yes. He then asked for a shot of Yukon Jack. From there it just got better. I ordered the Number 6 Breakfast Special. When it comes to breakfast I want to try everything. So I usually try to find the one meal or combo that gets me as much as I can get. My choice included eggs, home fries, toast, bacon, sausage and pancakes. Oh, and coffee and juice. I couldn't believe all this was included for the price (I can't remember exactly, but I want to say around $7). It took me awhile to finish, but when I did I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Until we went to leave and I saw all the amazing looking desserts. Service was okay. I had to ask for a few things (refill of my water, more creamers for our coffee) that I didn't feel I should have had to ask for but our waitress obliged. If I lived in York, I could see myself quickly becoming a regular at the Lyndon Diner. no question about it.

Awesome diner! Clean. Friendly wait staff. Nice size portions. I am a breakfast-all-day person and they have great selections. You can pretty much get whatever you want...again, nice size portions. Looks like they have great dessert selection, but I was too full to eat anything else. LOL

I'm from New Jersey so there is nothing like getting some good diner food. I stopped at this place right after going to a Jeep show at the York Fairgrounds. It's a clean diner and looks like it was renovated not to long ago which was nice. I can also say that the bathroom was in good condition as well. Regarding the food I got the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of cole slaw. The wrap was packed to the exploding point and it was grilled chicken drenched in buffalo hot sauce. It was really good and refreshing. The cole slaw was finely chopped style and was not too heavy on the mayonnaise which is good because I really dislike when places go overboard with the mayo. To back up the great diner food the service was just as good. Our waitress had a southern style to her and was genuinely nice and attentive. Before we got to low on the drinks there was another on our table. This place has a few chain restaurants around it and is still doing well as it was packed, that should be sign enough if you like diner food you'll like this place for sure.

It's pretty good. Foods ok. Not my first choice but I'll take it. Big menu, foods normally hot, Service is pretty good. If you like diners this is the place for you. If you're a Coke fan Caution they sell nasty Pepsi products.

Tip is to come here and eat if you have any thoughts of going to Logan's or Bones BBQ nearby. Although not a BBQ, EVERY dish was good. I had to come back to this area after my initial stay where I wasted my money at the aforementioned restaurants. For many trips within the next two weeks, I was back for business. After my first try at Lyndon, there was absolutely no reason to go anywhere else. And this if from a guy who likes to try new restaurants...especially if the employer pays. Every single visit was great and attentive service, every single visit was great and delicious breakfasts, lunches or dinners. Coffee is great too. Huge selection and eclectric and priced reasonably. Did I say how great this place is? Get the Alaskan Salmon Chowder. Mad good.

Always seems like a great atmosphere when I go in. I've always received great service and food. I have never had a problem. Price is average on most items. Last time I was there they even had a mini bar. It's worth checking into if you want a "diner" experience.

Portions are usually way too big. I haven't had a bad meal - typical diner food. When ordering an omelet they would not substitute anything else for the potatoes. It was dinner and I was hoping for a vegetable instead. Should be customer'a choice and it wasn't busy at the time either.

Went here a few months ago for breakfast. Very good and lots of food. Today we went for dinner on Easter Sunday. I had the turkey & filling with mashed potatoes and a side order of hash browns. Delicious and filling. I took the hash browns home for bfast tomorrow. In fact my wife and son each had a carry out container. Good food; good quantity; goof value. Highly recommend for a diner in York.

This is a pretty nice Diner. It is decorated in retro style and I really like the atmosphere. I ordered the cheese tortellini and it was okay. But I really really like the chocolate cheesecake it was awesome. And the prices were also not bad!

Great hangout for breakfast or late night coffee. Lyndon breakfast is like $7 and you get a TON of food. I usually share it with one of my girlfriends. Can't say I've ever had lunch here, but the food is usually always good. Staff has always been polite and things are pretty clean.

The portions are overwhelming. Some of the best Beef stew I have tasted. They were able to handle a group of 50 with ease and proper notice.

Love the Lyndon Diner--my favorite eatery in York! It just seems to be the place to go to after a show or a late night out. They are especially good about accommodating large and rowdy groups! The Lyndon Breakfast Special is a staple in my diner diet (especially the sausage!) and includes all the best breakfast items (as opposed to having to choose between them like at so many other breakfast places). I've tried various other items off their menu, including lunch and dinner items, and they are all mostly good. I'm not going to say I've always had the best experience there, the food is sometimes blah and the service is not always the best, but the atmosphere (including the cool look of the place) overcomes all that. And more often than not, it's a hit rather than miss. Your other option in the area is Denny's--good luck with that.

Overall, great diner. Atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. As soon as we were seated, drinks were offered to us. I had scrambled eggs, hash potatoes, and ham. The eggs were fluffy, the ham was moist and cooked well and the potatoes had that wonderful crispy layer on top. The only down side (which is why there are four stars and not five) is that the potatoes were not seasoned. Minor complaint, but I love potatoes at diners and always order them. Overall though, I will definitely go back when in the area!
