This place has a decent ambiance, and our service was fine. But I got the California burger, and it was a strange burger indeed. The meat looked like a hand-formed, fresh patty, but it tasted like, and had the texture of, something much closer to meatloaf. It was mushy, and obviously had all sort of additions other than just the meat. I could only eat half of it. I was craving a burger, but although this looked the part, the burger part of the burger was nothing I'd consider ordering again. I am betting that their breakfasts are really good, and I would be willing to go there again to try that out.

Great little local diner. Had dinner there... Service was great, price was cheap and food was good for what I paid. Great atmosphere... Try the ice cream too.

If you are looking for a meal that taste like mom use to make then this is the place to go. The food is great, the staff is great and the environment is cozy... So why not come and check the place out and have a great meal.

Oh my goodness, this place is awesome. Although they are busy they are always accommodating, their soups are out of this world

I always wanted to like the family run restaurants. When I first entered here, I thought I am gonna like it. But it was the opposite. I ordered a vegetable grinder, which was OK. Our waitress forgot the pickle and I had to ask for it. Chips - Lays. My friend got roast beef, which was smothered with fake gravy. The only thing good was the sweet potato fries. Customer service was below, below average. Probably because they might be working long shifts. On the whole 2.5/5

The food far outweighs the service which didn't seem to treat non-regulars very well. Be prepared for a long wait on Sundays thanks to the church crowds. Worth the wait!

Im from Jersey and i love breakfast/brunch time. So we were visiting family and started looking in Yelp for a place to have breakfast, near there this was the best i could find with Yelp rating. We get there at 10am it was soo crowded but we just waited like 5 mins. I ordered a traditional american breakfast: pancakes (of blueberries) scrambles eggs and bacon. This was huge! I though i was ordering the small pancakes but it seemed they re not. They were soooo fluffy and big, thick bacon ( full of fat, thats what u expect from bacon) and tasteless scramble eggs may for put sal and pepper as u want. So this breakfast was ok, my husband ordered some eggs, sausages and home fries and came with toasts too. It was all right. Service was a little slow but was because too many people! But she was around asking if everything was ok.

Felt OK about eating there until I looked through the glass window in the door between the ice cream section and the kitchen. That ended it for me right there, when I saw how the kitchen looked. I will never go back.

Great food for a great price! Good ole Diner food. Parking can be challenging ... but worth it. Need to try their icecream one of these times!

Awesome food, great prices, great service. Just a good old diner style place with great home cooked food. The burgers are awesome as well. Will have to try the ice cream later.

Great brunch! The place is huge so the line goes quick. Friendly staff, great coffee, great prices. Check out the specials. They had a special side of smoked bacon and it was amazing!

We went to the Philadelphia Folk Festival with cold food so we would not need to cook. Woke up Friday morning and wanted a hot breakfast so we came to The Energy Station. There was a great variety of breakfast food on the menu. To top it off, they had bottomless cups of coffee that were always refilled before they were empty. My husband and I both ordered a build your own omelet. They were both great. I would highly recommend this Resturaunt!

This was our first visit here and it was for breakfast. The place was hopping on this Sat morning but fortunately the wait for a table was less than 10 minutes. From the looks of the parking lot, I was expecting it to be much longer. Note there is both a front and back entrance to the restaurant, so if there is a wait list, I'm not too sure if they are really honoring the order in which people arrive. I went with one of their breakfast specials for the day--a lemon berry crepe, which was fantastic. My one son had a full size Belgian waffle and my other son had the Mickey Mouse pancake off the kids menu. The Belgian waffle was your typical Belgian waffle, but the Mickey Mouse pancake looked a bit malformed. I guess they won't have to worry about any sort of infringement on Disney! The pancake itself tasted fine though. Food came out quick (less than 10 minutes from ordering) and service was very friendly. All in all, very happy with our breakfast here and would definitely come back!

Running some errands in the area and decided to drop in for breakfast after reading other Yelpers comments. Good assortment of breakfast items and combination platters reasonably priced. We all left satisfied and full. Staff was very cheerful and responsive. The dining area is quite large with many different rooms. We tried a few sample spoonfuls of the homemade ice cream and they tasted awesome(snickerdoodle ice cream, Yes Please!) We'll be back to visit again.

My wife and I get the "to go" breakfast almost every Sunday. One phone call and then we pick up breakfast and head home to eat. The food is always hot and ready for pick up when I arrive.

Came in on a Sunday to try it out for breakfast. There was a long wait but wasn't too bad. After receiving our food, my toast was the wrong kind but I didn't feel the need to change it. My bf ordered an omelet with tomatoes which came out in huge cold chunks. Omelets were just folded around the vegetables and not combined. Food was okay but only since the price was low. I was expecting it to be better from the reviews but needless to say, I probably won't be back for Breakfast.

The Energy Station is an excellent place to go for breakfast in the Harleysville area. It has all the trappings of a hometown diner, with small booths, a laminated menu, and locals who clearly have their favorite seat in the joint. The name of the establishment is incongruous with the style of the place(you expect a wheatgrass-shot-selling-hippie-smoothie-joint but instead get a diner) but that's really no big deal. Pros: That corned beef hash is excellent and served in a lumberjack sized portion. The food is cheap. The staff is friendly. They offer some pretty delicious baked goods during Christmastime so that you can show up to the office with them and give them to your coworkers and then all of your coworkers really forgive you for all the horrible things you've been doing. Cons: The orange juice is substandard.

We began visiting here for breakfast once or twice a month many years ago shortly after they took the gas pumps out from the front of the building. We have a rule that we don't eat where they pump gas. We have always been satisfied with the food, service, and value. This is a local hang-out for many with the regulars at the counter bantering back and forth, quite entertaining at times. The breakfast is mostly standard fare prepared to order with fresh ingredients and modified to your preference. We suspect that the reason so many make this their go-to spot is because of the friendly and efficient service. Most of the waitresses have been here for at least a year or so and know many of the patrons by name. They ensure that your order gets to your table in a reasonable period of time. They are on the ball all the time so that you never see them standing around chit chatting with each other. Even the bus boy hustles clearing and cleaning tables in a flash. We always feel welcomed here and very comfortable.

A nice breakfast spot that I will occasionally try if I am feeling like a change up from my favorite place. The food is consistent and tasty for the most part. Also, the breakfast buffet is a pretty nice option if you are very hungry and most of the items are tasty and replenished when empty. It can occasionally be tough to navigate around the restaurant though as their is usually a line of people waiting for a table creating a Great Wall of China type divide between buffet goers and their buffet. Their breakfast potatoes are quite puzzling though as I really don't know how they could serve those confidently. I tend to put a bit of weight on a breakfast restaurant's ability to make hash browns and unfortunately Energy Station loses a bit of luster there. The service is quite good and very consistent with refilling drinks and checking in despite the fact that it's usually crowded. I have heard good things about their non-breakfast fare and am looking forward to giving that a shot sometime.

While the service is friendly the food has gone downhill. Rubbery pancakes, burnt toast, flavorless cream chipped beef and eggs that taste worse than the carton they came in. I used to come here often, I won't come here again. Oh and if you choose to come you should bring your own utensils, the knives they have can't cut through warm butter.

My family and I have been going here for a long time. The food is OK. One thing I don't like is that it is a little dirty. The waiters often take a really long time to get your food.. A lot of times if you don't get there early you get cold food. I have gotten cold home fries and pancakes. One thing though that is nice is that it is affordable my family and I usually can eat for around $25.00.

Strange name gets overlooked pretty quickly once you get inside. Really good little breakfast spot, good service, all kinds of creative specials, and sausage gravy and biscuits. When out in the middle of nowhere and looking for a solid little place to get your breakfast fix, this place will do it. Oh, and watch for the pumpkin pacakes in the fall!
