My husband and I decided to try this place out for dinner since I drive by it almost everyday. We stopped in on a Friday night and it was relatively crowded, both the table area and the bar. We got a table right away, and the service was good. We ordered dinners as opposed to what we saw most people eating, which was steak sandwiches, burgers and wings. Perhaps we would have liked it better if we had stuck with that type of food since most people looked like they were enjoying it. My husband got the broiled flounder and I got the broiled scallops. I think they use the term broil a little loosely as the fish and the scallops tasted more like they were poached, floating in a butter sauce devoid of flavor and grossly overdone. Another stike was that the lager beer that we ordered was flat. Since I don't care to eat bar/pub food, I mostl likely will not be returning since I can get a great tasting dinner right down the street at Brazzo.

My wife and I just moved to the area from the buffalo area and were hard up for some good chicken wings. This place was recommended to us as a great place to get wings. As far as the wings go this place delivered as is true for the mostly satisfying though nothing out of the ordinary food. That being said though we will not be going back. Attempting first to call ahead to put our name in for a table we were told that they didn't take call aheads, a practice I will never understand. We were informed the wait for a table would be about 25 minutes as was just about everybody else that walked in the door. We waited for more than an hour , nearly an hour and a half for a table and when we inquired as to the status of our table as a couple of people who had come in after us had been seated we were rudely told by the hostess that she was doing the best that she could. After that we sat in hungry frustration for another 20 minutes while we stared curiously at empty and clean tables. The waitress herself wasn't bad but it took us too long to get our initial order (in which we ordered everything as we were starving by then)

There are very few restaurant out there like this one. It stands apart as an icon in my mind... An icon of the worst restaurant i have ever been to. I have visited several times and the results have been the same, save for one exception, last night was the worst! Lets start with the waitstaff, rude, rushed, slow, and uncaring. It took 15mins to get a water and i wasn't able to pay her to get me another one for the rest of the night. I had the chili nachos but i will get to those later. Finding her for the check was impossible until i stood up and chased her down at some other table. Eating only took a few minutes, the horrible service kept us there an hour... They wouldn't help us leave! Now about that chili. Currently i am fighting a bout of food poisoning. The vomiting and diarrhea are pretty bad and only compounded by the fact that when my wife called to warn them they yelled at her, called her a liar, and told her they weren't changing anything. If you don't read any of my reviews take this seriously... Save yourselves and stay away. A convenient location is not worth this nightmare!

This is always one of our favorite places to go. The onion soup and prime rib sandwich are my favorites! My son loves the wings! The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend it!

The wings here are the best I've had since my years up at penn state. Service is ok, not on wing night though. But it's packed so what do you expect. The rest of their standard pub fare is fine. But if you want some good wings (which are hard to find these days) you need to go to the Hotel.

Let's start with what is great about this place. The wings. They are always crispy and absolutely delicious. Besides the wings the only thing this place really has going for them is their one bartender Beth. She always remembers my face and knows what beer I want when I come in for take out. She is an absolute doll and could run the whole joint. There is also an older woman there who seems like everyone knows her and lights up the room. Besides those two people and the wings i have had nothing but problems with service here. One time I literally came into the bar with my boyfriend where the sign said to kindly seat myself. It was early afternoon and there were about only three people at the bar so we expected to be in and out of there in no time. Wrong. We didn't have one waitress come up to us in ten minutes. We made loud comments and eye contact thinking we couldn't be any more obvious, I mean this is their livelihood not mine so you'd think someone who's working there would of immediately came right up but no. Even when we finally said screw it lets leave no one even said a word to us. The bartender looked us directly in the eyes and watched us leave without a word. Another time we called in to order wings on a Wednesday and when we asked too many questions the person taking our order said and I quote "Seriously? It's a Wednesday. Could you hurry up?" I'll let you take that for what it is. I will however always stand by their wings.

I am a local and have been here many times. Each time I get routinely ignored by the MIA hostess. The last time was the last straw. I put my name in and a party that arrived after me with the same amount of people got seated first. Their waitresses/hostesses are terrible at being available and the wait is way too long for a mediocre restaurant. Why the wait? It's the only restaurant in Harleysville that serves alcohol. Drive the extra 5-10 minutes out of town to another place. IMO this place isn't worth the wait.

When anyone compares wings to Union Jacks I have to try them for myself. After trying the Harleysville hotel I would have a new go to spot or something to write about. I can say the Hotel is def not up to par with Union Jacks. Wednesday night is the $9.50 all you can eat special so I stopped by with some friends. We got there around 8:30 and the place was packed. We only had to wait about 5mins for a table though. The inside of the restaurant had exposed rough cut beams and stone walls. The bar starts right at the front door and there are tables scattered all over. I read all the reviews on yelp prior to going and a lot of people said the service wasn't very good. I thought the service was well above average. Our waitress never left any empty plate for more then a few minutes and she was on top of our drinks. The wings were good and the hot sauce was very good. I tried the garlic hot and they were not that great. We got several orders and refills of wings and they were never really under cooked but they were not consistant. One batch was perfect and crispy and the next was still soft to the touch. This is what i expected with and all you can eat and It won't keep me from coming back again. If you are looking for a chill spot with a good wing special the Hotel is a great option.

Eh, service was so-so. Took longer than expected to seat us when at least two different hostesses passed the stand. The chicken fingers were just your average, but the barbecue sauce that came with it? Was very cold almost like it came right out of the refrigerator and they stuck it on the plate. The worst part was no information on the wings! They were $11 for a dozen (seems kinda pricy) and the flavors aren't listed on the menu, you have to look at the hidden small black menu at the end of the table. When asked, the waitress said they only had mild, medium, hot, and extra hot when there was at least 7 more flavors in the small book! It was just alright, maybe try again another time.

My family and I had a decent dinner at the Harleysville Hotel, but when the bill came, I noticed that the prices were higher than what was printed in their menu I had just looked at. When I questioned the waitress about this discrepancy, she said that the prices had gone up and that they hadn't updated their menu to reflect this. I asked her to charge us what we had agreed to in the menu, but she said she won't change the bill. I then contacted Harleysville Hotel through their website to complain about this bait and switch, and to tell them how this has really left a bad taste in our mouths. Two weeks later, I still have had no response whatsoever to my email. We happened to know an employee at the restaurant, who confirmed that 'Christine' the manager quite certainly did receive this email, and that it was quite the talk amongst the employees there. I feel that it is not only very cheesy to up your prices without full disclosure, but it is probably illegal. And then to not get even a simple response from them has me warning as many people as possible.

To start, what a shit beer selection. The only creative tap out of about 6 beers was Sam Adams SUMMER brew? Really?? And I am so effin sick of Blue Moon (made by Molson/Coors) passing themselves off to be a craft beer. I was meeting a friend at their request so I had to stay and suck down a couple Yuengling Lagers, formerly known as "rot gut" to us aging Pennsylvanians. I read here on YELP that they are known for their wings. They weren't bad, but I definitely experienced better. The person I was with had a hot turkey sandwich with gravy. I couldn't even look at it...well let's just say that it's not my type of food. Anyway, the bar service was acceptable, just too much work and too many people to service for one person to more than adequately handle everyone without having to chase her down. Go elsewhere unless you get cornered by a friend and the friend has a nice rack.

We get takeout wings a lot from the hotel. They are usually pretty good. Just don't order them on a football day or they will be cold and over cooked. I have eaten in a few times and everything was good. The soup was awesome.

In line with most every other review, Wednesday night AYCE wings is pretty much the only reason I stop in here. The service is spotty.... first time I ever went to the HH, our waitress was great. Second time we had terrible service from a different waitress. Since then it's been everywhere in between. I just wish they'd bring out my wing orders quicker. It got to the point that we would ask for a subsequent plate of wings at the moment the waitress would put our fresh wings on the table, figuring that by the time we had plowed through the current morsels the next batch would be on their way. My personal best Harleysville Hotel AYCE wing record? 48 and a half. Shooting for the half-century next time around.

Wings good. Service bad. Did hang out with a large group here one night and would have spent more money on food and drinks if the service had not been so poor. Our waitress seem to not care in the least if she actually took our orders or not. They do sell take out beer in six packs so I do find myself venturing in periodically to pick up cold beer. My advice is to call ahead to order wings, pick them up, and return home to chow down on what I would consider the best wings in the immediate area. The one positive is they have banned smoking. Prior to the state smoking ban I stopped going in to even by beer because the place reeked that much. Just Imagine what it would smell like if you stuck your head up someone's butt after they ate a carton of wet cigarettes. Yes, the place smelled that horrible.

We used to be Wednesday night regulars. We went last night for dinner (haven't been there in over 6 months) and the food wasn't great at all. The food used to be so good! The nacho's with chicken were always my favorite...not anymore. They were horrible. The cheese on the fries tasted old. And the rest of the food was just ok. Bummed that it wasn't as good as before as we will be up that way a lot in the next few months. We will give it another try...hopefully it was just a fluke.

Even though you can't/wouldn't want to stay at the Harleysville Hotel overnight, you'll probably feel like taking a week long siesta after indulging in the gooey, grease-laden bar snacks here. I love the HH because it doesn't even presume to WANT to begin to masquerade as anything but a downhome country pub serving traditional do-it-yourself fare. The cheese fries are white, soppy and covered in cheese that's too yellow and doesn't coagulate fast enough for it to be au natural. The death wings, or whatever they're called, are covered in a hot sauce that would satisfy any fire swallower. T he jalapeno poppers are actually the best fried, cheese sauce filled pepper skins I've ever had. They're fat and golden on the outside, breaded quite nicely, such that when you bite into them, your teeth sink into oily melted cheese that dribbles down your chin. You'll look cute in front of your date and will surely enrapture him with your suave eating tactics, especially if you let him dabble a bit of ranch dressing off your chin.

I love the wings on Wednesday night but it's difficult to enjoy the experience with the wait staff. The bartenders always seem pissed off and inconvenienced about doing normal barkeep tasks. This is a place dying for a visit from John Taffer, if for anything to get their bartenders motivated.

I have found the wait staff is friendly and food has generally been good. Wings are average to good. If you are a "wing person" you HAVE had better. I would recommend them for a soda and sandwich for a quick lunch, but the beer though..... It is a very poor selection and is consistently flat across the board. If you are looking for craft beer of any kind, this is not the place for you. For this reason, I will not be spending my money here any longer.

The Harleysville Hotel is a cute little restaurant bar. It isn't anything fancy, but more like a bar with pretty good food. It looks beautiful from the outside at night as well. The french onion soup was excellent and not quite as salty as some other places. My dining company enjoyed the lobster bisque as well. Everything that we got was pretty tastey.

Wings! Sure they may be a little expensive, but d%!m are they good. All you can eat Wednesdays. Make sure to get there before 6pm to get a seat on Wednesday. The rest of their menu is simply OK. It is not bad at all but nothing to remark about either. Overall, I like the Harleysville Hotel.

Came here with a large group and even though the place was accommodating with seating, it took a bit longer than expected to flag down a waiter/waitress to order drinks or a second batch of all-you-can-eat wings. The beer bucket deal isn't bad, but this place isn't for a party larger than 4. There are lots of televisions so no matter where you're sitting, you can catch a glimpse of whatever game is on. I'd assume that the actual bar might get more efficient service since the bartenders are right there, but as for the dining area, it leaves much to be desired.

Went there Sunday night, 4 of us, all had entree dinners, excellent service. Tiffany was our waitress and was very accommodating.

Honestly the wings are awesome. Get them, and beer, and be satisfied.
