Hole In the Wall BBQ Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Went there to see a musician we seen at a local coffee house play that venue. Since we were there we had a meal. The BBQ ribs were phenomenal. The BBQ chicken was good, but paled in comparison to the ribs. The sides were fantastic. I really enjoyed the "cheese Texan potatoes" and dill potato salad. I'm not a fan of cole slaw however theirs were OK. I imagine great if you like cole slaw. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and fixed up to look like you're outside (at least the concert portion). The service is pretty fast and friendly so I expect I will be back again when I'm in that area.

I had some really good brisket in here, and the sides were pretty good too. But... The sides you get are seriously small. I ordered the potato casserole and BBQ beans and they both looked like they had scooped 1/4 cup into the tiny dishes they were in. Very tiny sides are one thing you do not want to see at a BBQ place. Service was good, if a bit uncommunicative with each other. I felt like I was being tag teamed all night by two different servers. I'd give one some input, then have to repeat it to the other a few minutes later.

I love that they deliver! The food is good for Eugene BBQ and has something for almost every mood I am in. The mac n cheese is awesome, I love the bbq chicken, and can't go wrong with the pulled pork sandwich.

We chose HITW over several of our favorite places for Sunday Breakfast because we were looking for "special". We have always been satisfied and saved HITW as a treat. Buckle in! Let's get this review started... The tall guy who greeted us was the best part of HITW's repertoire. Fresh fruit, green salad and their signature ranch dressing was the highlight of the meal. Country potatoes were cold and unseasoned. They were as brown as old shoe leather and just as tough. "Scrambled" eggs were dry and rubbery with a thin skin of greasy, partly melted cheese. Bacon was cold and neither crisp nor soft...more like oily jerky. When the grill kissed the ham it sucked the moisture out of it. Smoked sausages made Farmer John's or Jimmy Dean look gourmet. Heavily coated in oil or rendered fat. Either way...EW I don't do biscuits and gravy so I'll save my acid comments for the rest of the "meal" (as I have plenty of them) Sliders were indistinguishable from pork or chicken. Either way they were bone dry with a weird yellow hew/goo to them. And the bun was hardening old fashioned dinner roll. Their chicken enchiladas had a great homemade flavor but there was no sour cream or salsa to accompany them. They had warm dollar-pancakes and waffle quarters ($1.25 is what this meal shoulda cost LOL). Waffles were limp and rubbery. Pancakes reminded me of those little frozen Eggo pancakes. All you were offered as topping was a coffee carafe of "butter" (AKA liquid margarine...REALLY?!) and another coffee carafe of warm syrup. Where's the strawberries and whipped cream?! And...WHAT?! LASAGNA?!?! Way too much pasta. No cheese except on top. And the flavor...bland, one note...just ground beef and acidy tomatoes. Can you say Stoffer's? Dinner rolls were available but the bowl they were in was tightly sealed with plastic wrap...maybe they were decoration. Never fear, they had eggs Benedict!!!! Yeah me!!! Um, no. the were built on biscuits! What happens when you pull a perfectly soft poached egg outta water and place it on a warm steamy biscuit and then top it with bland, broken yellow goo (AKA hollandaise...or I think that's what that was)...you get a big PUDDLE of goo. Biscuit was a soggy paste. I tried to pick mine apart to eat the ham and egg but it the biscuit/Hollandaise goo stuck to everything. Fine, at least there was desert right?! Yeah...desert. Their deserts reminded me of the local Chinese buffet...packaged (and dried out) scones and cinnamon rolls, grocery store cookies, nursing home pudding and a very sad attempt at a shortcake (little squares of pound cake, which looked like they'd been artfully dolloped with whipped cream and drizzled with berry juice hours ago). Bloody Mary's were tasty. I asked for mine extra spicy. The guy proudly placed my drink in front of me touting the Pinnacle Habanero Vodka. All I can say is I hope we didn't pay extra for that. I was expecting flames and I got squeeze-and-shake-pocket-warmer hot. And lastly our Server was apathetic. Never offered water or coffee, only beverages. Took forever to bring the check or take our debit card. And, yeah I tipped her but only 10%. She wasn't horrible just another lack luster feature in an otherwise expensive morning. Thank goodness for my hubby...the company was truly the best part of the morning. So, Did I speak to management about this? No, on this occasion I kept my mouth shut at the restaurant. I didn't want their patronizing glares or a free meal for my experience. I ate their food or should say tasted it...my "finished" plates where still full when they were cleared. I however, I didn't walk away with an empty belly even if my soul was starved. I'm not certain where the quality, effort and ambiance went but I don't think I'll be back to find out. Sorry HITW.

Hole in the wall was one of our weekly take out spots until recently. Its right around the corner and the food, in general is very good (except the green beans, i usually love green beans but they are consistnetly nasty at hole in the wall) We planned to use hole in the wall to cater our wedding, but after the abysmal service we have had the last 3 visits we will be going somewhere else from now on. The first incident, we ordered our food and were told certain items were only available for dine in. This was stated nowhere on the menu or eebsute. We ordered and arrived about 10 minutes later. We paid for our food and waited.... and waited. 20-30 minutes later our food was ready. The second time, we waited a little longer to leave and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. We thought "great! Wait half an hour before we come in and it will almost be ready." So we waited 45 minutes the next time. Before going in. When we arrived we waited 10 minutes for an employee to even address us. Then we were told our food had been thrown away because they didnt think we were coming. The employee was unapologetic; but when we mentioned the prevjous 2 incidents she explained it was their policy not to prepare the food until you arrive to pick it up. She then said it should only take about 5 minutes unless you order fries, which have to be ccoked. Everything else is on warmers. This did not explain our previous half our wait. We were never offered an ap I'll ogy for our lobg waits, let alone a free drink as another reviewer states she recieved. This place is terrible for service and disrespectful to its customers. Why bother taking our number for a takeout order if you are just going to throw the food away without contacting the orderer. Of they had simply said "we want your food to be warm, so we wont get it ready until you get here" we wouls have been totally finee with that. Dur to their lack of professionalism, we'll be finding some ok ne else ro cater our wedding. How are we supposed to trust you with our wedding dinner if yku cant even handle a takeout order for two people.

Just ok. The prime rib alone lacked flavor. Needed the au jus and horseradish sauce. It was very tender and cooked to order. bbq beans were lackluster. The mac n cheese tastes like kraft brand. Small selection of craft beer. The clam chowder was good. The bbq pork sandwich needed the extra sauce. The triple berry ala mode was super tiny for $5. Nice waiter though.

Pretty good barbecue. The sauce was very good as was the pork. The brisket was average However. Why is good brisket so hard to find?

Broke down on the side of the road and luckily stumbled in here for some of the best bbq ribs I've ever had!

Surprisingly good BBQ in Eugene OR. (It is a long way from Texas) I had the 2 meat dinner with hot links and ribs. I don't know if I ever have had such tender ribs. The hot links were more fatty than I expected, but were still good and likely more authentic that what I am used to in Phoenix. My server recommended the Bull Whip BBQ sauce to go with the hot links and this was a great suggestion that adds heat to heat. Not too hot to be comfortable and all about flavor. They also have a good IPA on tap from Hop Valley Brewing Co. While IPA's are becoming pretty easy to find, I still give any place that serves a good one on tap earns extra points. When in Eugene and craving BBQ this is a great place to consider.

AMAZING BREAKFAST! I had the Eggs Benedict, which was amazing. Came out with a big piece of ham, and the eggs perfectly done. The yokes were runny, rather than cooked which is great! My girflriend had the hashbrown nest (I can't remember the exact name), and her words were "It wasn't what I was expecting...But in a good way. I couldn't have expected something that tasted this good!" Best breakfast around. Enough said!

This was a great place. We had only been to the Eugene location, but it was Sunday and were feeling Barbecue. Springfield, here we come! We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter answered our questions and was very attentive. There were 5 of us and the food we ordered spanned the menu. We were all pleased with our choices, from the chicken, to the 3 meat plate to the small appetite 3 rib plate. The sauces were good, the sides were pleasing too. I'm giving them a 4 Stars for flavor AND service.

food seems to be heavily processed. The mac and cheese is a good example. It does not taste like cheese or taste good and has a very uniform consistency. The roasted chicken was nothing to write home about. My stomach was upset after eating. I'm not going back

Good breakfast. Pick three things for $9.99. The bacon in the omelette is soft which I like very much. The lunch and dinner menu is small for my liking, and the chili was sub par.

Very good value. We were in town for a swim meet and decided to try the BBQ for lunch. We sat in the bar area so that I could watch my Missouri Tigers play Arkansas on ESPN. The bartender is also the waiter for the bar area, and he was happy to change the big screen to ESPN for me. We had a few beers and hung out for about an hour and a half. During that time I enjoyed the fine selection of beers. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was very good. Pulled pork is hard to mess up, but some places manage to do that. Not here, though. The meet was tender, juicy, with good smoke flavor and a nice rub of spices. My friends each tried a different meat and everyone enjoyed there meals. I would eat here again the next time I'm in town.

I recently went to Hole in the Wall BBQ for a work lunch event. I got their smoked turkey plate with cheesy potatoes and a corn muffin as my side items. The turkey was moist and delicious and there are several BBQ sauces on the table to pair your meat with. By far the turkey is the best that I have ever tasted. Their cheesy potatoes are AMAZING as well. The corn muffin was good too. I appreciate that this place offers "lunch portions". I like how the portions are perfect size. Nothing left to take home, bit realistic enough to feel satisfied at the end of the meal. For dessert we had the berry crisp/cobbler. It was served a la mode, and was amazing. The prices for the food are realistic, and a very good deal, in my opinion. It's not the most elegant restaurant, but hey, it's a BBQ place. Our waitress was excellent, tending to our needs. Our food was delivered to our table within approx. 10 minutes, and we had a very large group. All in all, this place is great!

Went here for lunch and was not overly impressed with the food. Had Beef Brisket, Eggs and Hashbrowns with a side of Sliced Oranges. The Eggs were a bit greasy but cooked correctly at over-medium. The Beef Brisket was a bit fatty but cooked just right. The Hashbrowns were very disappointing as the had NO flavor to them and, yes, a bit greasy. Orange Slices were like they were cut up a day or two previous and put in the fridge- YUK! I had an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade) and it was one of the better I have had. Service was very good and the waitress knew her business. Restroom was clean as was our booth and the general overall appearance of the place. A little sad the food was not quite up to par. I have tried the West 11th Avenue site before some time ago with good results, as an FYI.

I was truly impressed with the food here. Being from Georgia I was nervous about eating BBQ in Oregon. We had a catered meal so I didn't get to try various items but the pulled pork was better than some that I've had in the South. I give them 5 stars because they actually serve sweet tea and it was great too. Cant wait to eat there again.

Ugggh! So I wrote a review about the burger special... So tonight, I called in an order for the French Dip that was the special of the night... So the guy on the phone said, 10 to 15 minutes . I got there, and two older women came in after me and made their orders at the counter, I might add these women weren't together.... They both got their food before me!! I said come oh guys I ordered my food 45 minutes ago... Then they said oh hold on and brought my food right out to me, so at this point I'm already irritated.. I got home to eat my food.. My fries were soggy and dripping with oil... My French dip was nothing but fat. I was feeding my dog the fat... So I had pretty much nothing but soggy bread. Lovely! After my last review I thought maybe they were having a bad night... I'm more disappointed then ever.. Sorry hole in the wall. You lost your charm and great food.

I was really excited to have some yummy bbq. Sadly we ended up getting the brisket chili.. which at first was good...until we reached the bottom of the bowl and you could taste the soap they use to clean the dishes with ... bleh! Prices were a bit high for what we had. Great service though. I'd go in and give them another shot before swearing them off.

Very friendly. I was told my togo order would take longer than usual because of a large party...so to make my wait a little more bearable I was offered a drink. A little lagniappe that was greatly appreciated. I ate my half chicken order In the car like a wild animal... No napkins or utensils were provided but they probably assumed I was not a gluttonous blob. The chicken had a nice smoked flavor. The Mac and cheese was unremarkable. The green beans would have been better is they were bacon based but they weren't bad....kinda squeaky. I got the regular hot sauce. It was had a distinct vinegar flavor. I love vinegar. The sweet corn muffin, here is where it gets Interesting. I usually just toss these out after one bite. I don't care for sweet cornbread.... But this was called sweet corn Muffin...I didn't feel as Insulted as usual. I planned to use it as a hand wipe, but Folks, it was pretty good. Buttery, sweet and greasy. Good job.

Im so satisfied. Its so good. I want more. I bragged about it to my husband who was not with me, and he wanted me to bring him my left overs. I didn't have left overs, so I ordered him an entree. I can't wait to hear what he thinks.

My Aunt and Cousin and I went her on Friday for my Birthday. I chose this place because of its proximity and because I really like their smoked meats. Dinner was pretty good, and I do like the staff! Zack was our server and he was pretty funny, like a free floor show with dinner! My Aunt and I had the 1/4 chicken and my cousin had the beef brisket. My sides were the green beans and a salad. The barbeque sauce is kept at the table, and I'm quite fond of their brisket sauce. The salad had a kind of southwest-y dressing, which was excellent. My green beans were very good, too. My cousin had the potato salad (I've had hat before and I didn't like it) but he liked it as well as the macaroni and cheese. We cleaned our plates thoroughly, and the price point is appropriate with the quality. I've been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but this was my first Birthday there. Zack insisted I choose a dessert to take home with me since I was too stuffed to eat it there. So, for breakfast I had their berry crumble, and darn if it wasn't great!! I'm not fond of the plastic plates, and the decor is partly great and partly silly (the fake waterfall room)! But the service has always been friendly and fun and I say -- go!!

I cannot say enough good things about Gary, Mary and the rest of the Crew at the Spfld. Hole in the wall BBQ. We used them to Cater and Bartend our wedding. We got nothing but compliments on the food and staff from everyone at our wedding (150 people). They were more than helpful and accommodating to say the least! The food was outstanding with even more options than we ever guessed. (The Bacon mac 'n cheese is primo). On the bar, we had more beer drinkers than we thought and they were more than willing to bring another keg so we didn't run out - Good Call! We will certainly eat there again, recommend them to everyone we know, and, given a chance, will use them to cater again and again. Thank you for making our wedding event that much more special! EXCELLENT!

We have been going to Hole In the Wall for many years now, and it has never been disappointing. Great food, fast service, good portions. We hadn't gone for about 6 months and went back last night. They had changed the menus, which was not a big deal, businesses need to update, but they had taken off a few of my favorites, including their BLT, gone. I ordered my regular favorite, turkey sandwich and sweet potato fries, always good. Not so much anymore. I'm really hoping I got them on an off night, because they seemed to have shrunk down their sandwich sizes and kept the prices the same. The sandwiches were normally served on a full sized potato roll, but I received almost a "slider" sized sandwich, and the turkey, which is normally moist and sooo tender was dry and had some chewy rind thing on the edges. The fries were hot, but not completely cooked all the way through, so had some hard bits in the middle. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food and hope that this was just an off night and not a new normal, though I don't think we'll be going back any time soon to find out. Sorry guys, consistency is key.

I was not impressed with the small portions for the price. Then on my way to the bathroom I saw Ryan telling the cook that he was sending food out with too big of portions and then he ate a pice if toast right at the hot counter over all the other condiments. I just hoped that it was Ryan's food, but it was not. The chicken was oily, but sucked all the moisture out of your mouth when I ate it. I'm not even sure how that's possible but they did it. We had to ask for the "good sauce" since it wasn't at the table. The ribs were good, but no meat on them. For the prices we paid, my wife and I should have not left hungry. Minimal effort from the staff. No refills on our strawberry lemon aids, and only one roll each. I wouldn't waste my time or money going there again. It used to be sooo good too. It's a real shame.

If you're taking your fussy Grandma out to dinner, Hole in the Wall is a perfectly inoffensive choice, much like the Carrow's that once occupied the space. But if you're craving a down-home smoky, saucy 'cue experience that you'll taste and smell on your fingers the next morning, you have come to the wrong place, my brother.

Wow!! The service was extraordinary!! I left feeling full and satisfied. Great portions for the price. I will come back again and again just for the service alone! Truly impressed!

This is by far a "sleeper" when it comes to breakfast. I've been here probably 5+ times in the span of 1 1/2 months. My first visit was a good one. My boss took me and the rest of our sales team to breakfast here. We all started off with a Blood Mary. The Bloody Mary's at this place are some of the best I've had since living in PDX. Really tasty drink with Green Olive, Pepper Jack and Sausage garnishment. On the rim they use some type of a Cajun seasoning, or Smokey Paprika salted mixture, which beats the hell out of the traditional salted rim. The food here isn't a culinary dream, but it's good food and worth every penny. The only thing I can really knock is the Brisket. I've had much better, but really....I get it every time. Haystack Hash browns are awesome. They stack either Pulled pork or Brisket and then pile up Hash browns, eggs and your choice of cheese melted on top. I thought it was a little small portion wise, but it was completely filling, so it's pretty deceiving. My favorite is the 2 Egg Breakfast. 2 Eggs, Your choice of meat, and you get to choose 2 sides to go with it. I normally get the Hash browns and the Biscuits and Gravy. B&G is really good. Biscuits are flaky, taste like they were freshly made. The gravy is rich and flavorful, as it should be. Sundays this place will have a brunch. I personally am a bit of a Brunch snob, normally the quality of food starts to slip with buffets. My wife tried the buffet out, and she was pleased. Pork sliders, ribs, pancakes, pastries, sausage, eggs, waffles, and desserts are all available. ***KIDS UNDER 12 $5.....KIDS UNDER 5 are FREE*** That's one hell of a deal. My 11 year old was able to eat as much as he wanted for $5, and our semi picky daugther pecked at her plate full of eggs and pancakes and we didn't have to pay a dime for her. That right there is a deal. Bloddy Mary's are $4.50 and Mimosas are $3.50. Another good deal! I would never expect this place to be a solid breakfast joint, but it is. Much more solid than some of the places who are already known for early AM eats. If you're into a Country/Western settings or even hunting deer, ask to sit in the Trophy Room. They have about 7 head mounts of Mule deer and they're pretty impressive racks. My father, the avid hunter, already loves this place after just 1 visit and that's strictly because of the decor. Give it a run, check it out, completely worth the visit.

Great spot for weekend brunch. We've visited a couple of times after a hike at Mount Pisgah. + Large portions + Inexpensive + $4.50 Bloody Mary's (sooo good) + 12.99 AYCE brunch + Delicious biscuits & gravy - We weren't overly impressed with the brisket We're fans and Hole in the Wall now part of our weekend brunch rotation!

Great prime rib, nice people, very clean. Great value. We will be back. I'd like to see a larger selection on tap, but that is not a huge negative, the food definitely offset that. I liked it.

Our experience at hole in the wall BBQ in Springfield just off Mohawk blvd. was at the very least disappointing. There are so many things i could list that was wrong. However I am only going to mention the main problems. I ate at the restaurant at around 5:30 pm the service was not good, but i did tip him 5.00 anyway. the main problems were cold food, dry chicken, reheated soup and very very old Texas potatoes. And when i asked the waiter of the green beans were fresh or canned he paused for about 30 seconds and admitted they were canned. The prices at this hole in the wall at Springfield are not cheap. I do not expect to go into a place that charges 15.00 a plate and receive reheated smoked clam chowder, old potatoes, and very dry chicken. The brisket was good however it was cold i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I went in with my wife because we were excited about trying a new place and the hole in the wall looked good from the parking lot, but that is the only good impression that we got thought the whole experience. Do not go here, you will be very disappointed. And i would also like to say that the only reason i gave it one star was because no stars were not an option
