Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt

Reviews:
I love coming here simply because the have a Dole pineapple flavor that is just like Dole Whip from Disney. Whenever I want to relive some Disney memories, I come here! The yogurt quality is really good here compared to other frozen yogurt places around.
Brand new store in the Walmart parking lot! Great service with their happy "Welcome to Menchie's!" saying. The employee said it's no extra charge for the waffle cone, which is slightly incorrect since you pay by weight, but the flavors and toppings are good. I decided to get the chocolate waffle cone, alas it would've been cheaper to not have this and I would be okay. On a nice day they have outdoor seating with a water feature and a patio. It's tucked in a corner away from the traffic so it was nice to hang outside.
The best frozen yogurt ever !! They always have a great selection the restaurant is always clean and the service is always friendly. Also there is always 1 low carb and 1 no sugar added choice.

Review from my boyfriend, the pizza lover: It was my first visit to MOD. I didn't feel like driving down the road to Bellagios..The service was decent, as one of the guys greeted me and made small talk. But the most important part, the food, was not that great. First off, I was starving but I didn't even finish my pizza. I like the idea of double crust (the Mega pizza) but it seriously tastes like 2 tortillas or communion bread pieces. Also the pizza was burnt at the bottom. I understand that it's wood fired pizza but is it asking for too much to not have it burned? I've been to several different places that cook pizzas fast (Blast Pizza in Sacramento, CA is perfect if you can find your way down there) and it's never been burned at all on the bottom with the center of the top of the pizza being cold. I'm glad I know now not to come here... Next time I'll make the trip to drive somewhere better
Excellent options and healthy choices, veru friendly service. I do wish they had thicker crust.
Ok, so when you live out in Suburbia you have pretty limited food choices. Out here in Sherwood we have really 3 choices for pizza so this adds a 4th. I've been here a couple of times and the things that I like: - it's priced well - it's designed so that everyone can get what they want as you add toppings to individual or slightly larger pizzas (think of a subway style line). This allows less fighting about what to get on the pizza and since it's priced well, it works well. - I have taken 5 of my 6 family members here and gotten pizza that everyone wants for $25 (that's 2 adults and 3 kids in grade school). I still had a couple of slices left over as well. It's new so it gets BUSY. I was here last night and thought ahead so I ordered online and I'm glad I did as the line was to the door the whole time I was inside. Even ordering online I had to wait a little bit because I think they're still figuring out their flow but the girl helping me was really apologetic and gave me a coupon for a free pizza for having to wait a few minutes beyond when my pizza was done so +1 for friendly customer service too. Happy experience, the kids love it. It's not gourmet pizza but I think it tastes good, is cooked quickly (and to order), and the service has so far been great. NO complaints after a few visits.

First time here, and the food was delicious! The service was great, as well. We will definitely be going back for more.
Good food and value for this type of place. I've enjoyed everything I've had here. The chicken yakisoba that I got as take out had enough food in it to easily feed me for 3-4 meals. All for $8.45! The staff is so extremely friendly and sweet. This will definitely be the spot I hit when I crave this kind of food.
Delicious food from an Asian Family point of view! The New owners are super friendly, felt right at home! Had the chicken teriyaki with brown rice and the free egg flower soup. We also had a side of Gyoza, tasty and crispy. The portions are large, so a good appetite is on order. It's usually a busy place, but we went in the mid afternoon to beat the crowds. I'm Happppppy to have found a Tasty Korean restaurant in Sherwood.

Sawatdee Thai Cuisine

Reviews:
I have discovered a few things since moving near Portland: (1) There is no shortage of Thai and Italian restaurants, (2) There are at least 2 dentists on every block, and (3) I really miss U-turns. OK, the dentist comment doesn't relate at all, but seriously, my daughter and I have decided there is one dentist per resident up here! And the U-turn thing may not relate completely to this review, but when you can only turn out of the parking lot one way and it's the WRONG way for getting home with your take-out order and you are starving, it begins to matter... Sawatdee clearly does a bustling business in Sherwood, and the locals seem to know the owner, George, who comes across as really nice, though he never chatted with us and we sat there for nearly an hour waiting for our food. I'm not ranking them lower for the extremely long wait, though they should have given a hint of how long it would be when we ordered. The ranking is purely for the food though, which I was underwhelmed by. We threw out our fresh salad rolls (called spring rolls at other places). The rolls and the peanut sauce were really bad. The Tom Yum soup and crispy balls, which are not balls by the way, were also unappealing (except I did like the crispy rice). I have a sour aftertaste that keeps coming back to haunt me, so my lasting memory is not a great one. Tiny interior. Hard chairs and benches. Harried workers. I felt bad that George was stressed, but he should have been...They needed to get food out of the kitchen faster on a Friday night. Despite cutting them a break on the wait, the food was only worth 2 stars in my book, though I will grant that my daughter loved her tofu pad thai. That's her signature thai dish. I find it too sweet. I totally appreciate that it's a mom and pop shop though, and I hope they continue to do well. Others seem quite pleased. If given the chance, I'd probably find the dishes that would leave me happy here. Unfortunately, our first experience turned me off enough that I probably will continue to search for other places.
SOOOO good! I tend to stick with Pad Se Ew whenever I go to a Thai place, but I've had a couple other noodle dishes, as well as curry at Sawatdee and they are all delish!
My wife and I ate here just last night for the sake of mixing up our Thai options. There is a really great place on our block in Newberg called Golden Leaf, which is great. I gotta say that though the staff was friendly and helpful, they were not overly so, and the small dining room free of booths and elbow space was a bit less comfortable than the soft padded booths and privacy we get at our local place. Finally, and most importantly, the food. It was fine. I should say, it was good, as Thai food typically always is, but it was not worth the 15 minute drive from Newberg. I would go here again, if I lived down the block, but seeing as I have a better restaurant with better food right near home, they will not likely be seeing me again. If you live right near it, its a solid choice for a pretty good price.

Da Mimmo e Dax

Reviews:
We've been searching the tualatin valley for a decent italian restaurant. After trying da mimmo's, our search continues. This was a real bummer because we had slightly high hopes that we had found our huckleberry. I called at 5 to reserve a table for 7:30. When we arrived, our table had been given away. We took a table inside because i was hungry, and didn't feel like waiting for a table outside. The best item of the night was the italian rose we had with our meal. It was a marvelous bottle of wine. That was the only highlight. We were given some bland and rubbery zucchini fritters as a bandaid for our meals taking so long. It took 17 minutes for two mista salads to arrive. 1 oz of lettuce with a drizzle of vinaigrette took 17 minutes. Our entrees finally arrived. Small appetizer sized portions for italian. Her gnocchi was missing the mozzarella. We returned it and mine as well. 5 more minutes and we had them returned. I had tagliatelle with pork ragu. The pasta was under al dente. For fresh pasta it wasn't cooked extremely well. It ended up chewy and gluey. The ragu was salty and astringent and seriously lacking pork. The gnocchi were far from pillowy. They were also rubbery and under cooked. Dude dropped off the check at the end without so much as a have a good night or a thank you. We left and no one said bye. The worst part? They had it on some pandora italian classics station. We heard "the aria" 3 times in 45 minutes. I don't know. This place needs help. Real help.
I don't give high ratings except in rare circumstances, i.e. Anne Gunns in St. Louis, Chicago Chophouse in Chicago, etc. However, as someone that lived in Italy for a year I can say with absolute authority that this is not only one of the most authentic Italian meals I have eaten since I left Italy but one of the best tasting as well. The pasta is handmade each day and every ingredient is local, fresh and well handled. The salad with lightly tossed oils, a bread pizza crust that is skillet fried, and the dishes - regular and specials are executed with perfection. Be bold and take a chance on whatever they are serving...the experience is well worth every bite. Mimmo and Sal are a perfect team that deliver excellent food and a selection of Italian wines well paired to the dishes they serve. Their restaurant is small with only a handful of tables, six I think, and a few torn chairs but for those that have visited Italy, this is a common street side restaurant that is the heart of dinning in Italy. When visiting Da Mimmo's don't expect white tablecloths and black-suited waiters. What you will find a very simple restaurant with a friendly staff and excellent food. The menu is small but there is heart in everything they make. Have questions...ask as I found their knowledge of the food, ingredients, and the history of each dish to be remarkable. To me, it was a step back into time and some of favorite places in Italy. I look forward to my next trip to Oregon and dinning at what has clearly become one of my favorite restaurants. Their motto is, "con passione e amore" and it is obvious from the first bite that passion and love go into every dish.
Authentic Italian food. We had lunch, great service and atmosphere. Cost is a little on the high side for my taste, but I would go there again for a special occasion.

I think they JUST opened this location in Sherwood. There are four other locations near by, but this one has a nice view. Staff is really nice. Offered me a free drink because the registers crashed. Very communal floor space. Free wifi but VERY few outlets to use for electronic charging. Open til 8 m-f. That makes me happy as I use coffee shops as work space often. This is a good suburban Starbucks! :)

This place is amazing! Nice calming atmosphere and the staff is extremely friendly. Not to mention, the food is amazing! I pulled up right before they opened and the staff opened the door to let me in and order :) luckily I love right down the street so I think I may have found my Pho to go place!
They have a nicely laid out menu, clean and modern interior and nice help. I've eaten here a few times and definitely recommend the house special - lemon grass chili chicken - flavorful yet soothing! The sauce is divine - makes the dish. Portions aren't large, but of a reasonable size and price (about 8-9 bucks). Their vermicelli noodles add a lovely cool element to their bowls (also available with rice in place of noodles). Located in the parking lot of Safeway - it's super easy to find and even easier to enjoy.
This is my favorite Vietnamese food place. Every dish is home made quality. Salad rolls are huge. Sandwiches and combos are good size. Highly recommend.

We have given this restaurant more than a few try's with similar outcomes. We have ordered pizza's twice that never came and yet we waited over an hour. The management never bothered to tell us there was a problem until we pressed the waitress for an answer. So disappointing and so many excuses we will never go again!
Since the name change, I've been to Generations a few times. Mostly because it is so close to my house. The beer is good and there is a good selection, but the food is terrible. I've had greasy, limp fries, and most recently fries so over-cooked that they were brown all over. If you want to be a bar-and-grill, you gotta get the fries right. If you can't even do fries, what does that say about the rest of the food. My wife won't eat there anymore, which is too bad because of how close it is. Hopefully they can get the food right.
First time in today for lunch and we were so impressed. The service was wonderful and so friendly. We each had a burger and they were both so delicious. You can definitely taste the quality ingredients and the homemade buns are phenomenal! I loved the fact that they have a nice beer selection of 16 taps that were almost all local NW beers. We will definitely make this place a regular lunch and dinner spot!!

Papa Murphy’s

16180 SW Langer Dr
Sherwood, 97140
Reviews:
A few obvious things about Papa Murphy's. First, it's a chain. So yes, you get pretty standard and consistent food from them. The nice thing is that it's quick and it's cheap. When you're looking for a fast way to feed a hungry family and quality is not the number one issue, then this is certainly a place to consider. Their quality is not poor, I'd say it's a step above Dominos, but it's not as good as it could be. Of course that's true for any style of food that is designed to be convenient and fast. Something has to suffer in order to provide that instant gratification. Keeping in mind that this is Sherwood, the store is run by a staff of high school kids (just as every other place in Sherwood). So, while the service may not come with a smile every time, they at least are pretty friendly for being teenagers and I should know since I've got one of them at home. Did I mention they were quick? Oh, yeah, I did...but I'm gonna stress that point. If you call ahead you're almost always given the same '15 minutes' response to your order. I've tested it a few times and if I get there less then 10 minutes after my order it's already done 90% of the time. Keep in mind, you cook this sucker at home so it isn't that difficult but it's nice to see them rock these things out, even on a busy Friday night. Decent place, ample parking, great prices, and teenagers...what isn't to love about that?!
Cheap, consistent and on time! If you are going out for a great pizza by all means go to your favorite place that has a more specialized selection. If you are staying home and have friends or family over, save your money for good beverages and get this great pizza. Kiddos love it and its about half of what you pay at a regular pizza joint. They fill this home niche quite nicely.
OK so it's take and bake, there's loads of them. But u like this store, nice people, fast and they still make me my favorite bacon Bacon BACON
