I have a fish and crab allergy and they accommodated very well! The owner is amazing and the waitresses are professional and courteous. Love it here!

Just what this area needed! The food looks and tastes like the management is really invested in putting out a great product and the fact that it's sustainable is obviously an added bonus that does not take away from the quality of the food. It will be very exciting to see how this place comes into its own after they have been around for a while.

My husband and I just had dinner at Pacific Sushi. The food was incredible and I have never had sushi this fresh. The presentation was beyond perfection. The service was amazing. Prices were reasonable. We will be back.

New place just opened so service was a bit wonky, but I'm sure they will get it together. In their defense, it got super busy. I tried a couple of rolls, the Volcano and the 420. Both were excellent. I was sitting at the sushi bar and listened to the chef speak of his experience. He has a lot of it. They are just open for dinner at the time of writing this, and closed on Monday. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

We were driving along the coast up through Oregon and low and beyond we stumbled upon a gem. Turns out Pacific Sushi & Grill recently opened and I'm sure glad they did. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Tuna Skewers, Redwood Roll and Rainbow Roll. Yum! Yum! Yum! All were very fresh, my favorite was the Redwood Roll. Mmmmmm my mouth is watering just writing this review. I even got my friend who doesn't like sushi to try it and she even approved. She actually ordered the Pacific Burger. So of course, I had to give it a try. I love a good burger served on a brioche bun, cooked to perfection and served with sweet potato fries, all for only $10! Thinking my friend and I will have to stop here again on our way back down, that way I can try more off the menu. I'm a fan of any sustainable place and a big fan of one where the food tastes this great. Love that they had Oregon Sake on the menu, keeping it local! So I can tell you this, I highly recommend you check out Pacific Sushi & Grill. Well done to the owners!

This place is Awesome! For the nay sayers that said it wasn't fresh... Dude... i watched this guy make our sushi and it was a work of art... The Ninja Rolls were bloody brilliant. The Happy Hippy was the bomb. And the bacon wrapped Tuna Skewers?? Heaven on a stick! I didn't try the burgers, but my friend ate it and couldn't talk for ten minutes due to pure elation. This isn't fast food, don't expect to be served immediately. Everything is made to order and if they are busy, you're going to wait. It's absolutely worth it, though! I'm going to keep coming back!

Service was great. Food was excellent. It's a little expensive, but you get what you pay for! Will definitely be going back!

We all 4 agreed that the food was excellent, even if the service was a little bit sketchy. Very fresh fish and a great selection of rolls. The 6 we had were all delicious. We'll definitely be going back.

I have no idea why everyone is raving about this restaurant and its sushi. I just finished having dinner here and it was absolutely terrible. First off, if you don't have coffee, don't put it on your menu. It's a pretty simple concept. Second, the sushi was as bland as those crappy pre-prepared rolls you buy in the supermarket. Nothing was fresh, not to mention the fact that they didn't even serve real eel and instead served what they call "fo-naki". Are you kidding me? Don't go here unless you want bad sushi and to listen to the customers that don't know what the hell they're talking about when they say how amazing the sushi is. Yet another terrible restaurant to add to the list in Brookings.

There miso soup was amazing! Best I've ever had. Caterpillar roll was good. The sauce was to die for. I also had the California roll but it was nothing special, I wouldn't eat it again. The girl was very sweet but she forgot to give me part of my order.

Most of the reviews here are excellent and this restaurant deserves it! The service was impeccable. The sashimi was incredibly clean, the cuts were like butter--probably the best sashimi I've ever had in terms of quality. All of their fish is sustainably-sourced, so many familiars are not on the menu, such as tobiko and traditional unagi. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely return!

Went as doors just opened. Service was great. Staff was nice. Food was delicious. Peach blueberry cobbler was perfect. It's pricey, but we'll worth it. FYI the teriyaki chicken is not a lot of food for a grown man. Make sure you order more.

Went to the Pirate festival, then decided to get some sushi. Again, we were NOT disappointed. Excellent food. We ordered the tuna skewers with wasabi sauce, the Veggie FutoMaki, the Bruce Lee roll and something new.....the Tree Hugger hand wrap. The tuna skewers are awesome. (You know, if you don't want bacon wrapped around the tuna, they will make the skewers without bacon if you ask.) The Bruce Lee Signature roll. It's HOT! It's spicy, but it's also lightly fried to make it extra addicting. The veggie roll was super fresh and tasty! Yummy! The new Tree Hugger hand wrap was really good too. At first I hesitated, since the whole thing was wrapped in seaweed. Yeah, I'm not a seaweed fan, but the seaweed did NOT taste fishy/salty at all. I really enjoyed it. Great service, great food. I only with they were open for lunch so we could go more often. :P

I would give this place five stars for sure except I feel I have to mention the long wait times from order to deliver. Nice staff, great food, very affordable! It's a bit small though and if u sit by the door u will have people watching u eat. Also, the phone rings a lot and who wants to hear a phone ringing when they are out to dinner? Very good though! Tons better than Kitinishi.

If you blink while driving you can miss this restaurant but don't the food and service are great. Had the special lobster roll you only need 1 the portion is generous. Make sure you leave room for dessert the wasabi cheesecake is to die for.

This place is so much better than the places back home. We started with the bacon wrapped tuna , and our party proceeded to order everything on the menu.... Well almost...we definitely kept the chefs busy!!!! Thanks Guys!!!

Taste sensation and eye candy. Simply delicious with an atmosphere that invites. I'm officially a regular. The owner goes to tables when he can, meeting customers. That's cool.

Was in tonight with my husband we were both impressed at the friendly service, good selection of appetizers but my goodness the rolls were not only the largest portions I've ever had but absolutely fresh and delicious, so delicious that I was full but ordered one last roll to share with hubby (who had NEVER been a fan of any rolls) before we left. We are new to the area and can't wait to come back and try more of the wonderful options you have on your menu. In addition I'm glad you have the steak and delicious looking burger option when dining with people that don't appreciate what they're missing with sushi :-)

  • Dianne H.

Fresh and prepared with care! Pacific offers a selection of locally sourced fish as well as a good selection of standard sushi grade choices. The portions are generous and very fairly priced. Atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. Staff very friendly and interested in hospitality-bonus!!! I will definitely be returning!

Super friendly staff and the food is awesome. Jennifer the floor manager is cheerful and upbeat and added to our experience. The menu is really great offering incredible sushi choices with specialty rolls I haven't seen before. The poke salad was delicious. Had the Oregon roll, fresh and delicious with fresh crab, asparagus, sweet peppers, avocado, scallions and wrapped in ahi. Fantastic! Menu offers steaks, chicken and hamburgers. One of Brookings best restaurants. We'll be back, probably tomorrow.

I have never liked sushi until I tried the Chetco from here and when I'm not feeling like eating sushi, the Hamburgers are a great alternative! When my wife and I ate here, they ran out of their pie and gave us a cheesecake on the house.

  • Herb L.

Went there with spouse. We shared their specials--the porterhouse (they properly do rare,) and the lobster roll, along with the spicy salmon roll and the surf & turf roll from their regular menu. The food was really good. Did I mention they know how to do a rare steak? We ended up not finishing and took a good portion of it to go.

  • Andrew L.

The service was on point and very attentive. As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed and important. The ambience is pleasant and not cheap whatsoever, which made me feel comfortable eating sushi which is surprisingly hard to come by. Beer cold, it was busy but the food came out at a reasonable time. The ONLY critique is the teriyaki chicken sauce that you're supposed to dip the chicken in was cold, so I recommend ask for it heated. Also, the Happy Hippy roll was delicious besides the overwhelming wasabi nasal clean out I received every time I took a bite, which by the way I absolutely LOVE wasabi so I can handle it. Everything was delicious and I will definitely come back!

Fresh sushi was good. Service personable. Coconut shrimp was awful. Premade? Stick to the fresh menu and you will Be ok.

  • Helen S.

Excellent sushi, excellent service. Huge portions. We will be back! They also have grilled burgers and steak and a fresh catch of the day, but we only had the sushi. They are rated high by others and we completely agree!

  • Alice T.

Excellent. We sat near the chefs and that was quite interesting. I'm not a raw fish person but everything I tasted was delicious. We had the baked Alaska, redwood, spider and Chetco. We also had the tuna appetizer - wonderful! One of us had the teriyaki chicken and it was mouth watering. The room was a little warm but the food was worth it. Our waitstaff was very upbeat and very helpful .

  • Tessa N.

Best.place .ever. I brought some friends visiting here and they have eaten at many sushi places, by far they agreed this is the best! The wait staff was very courteous and knowledgeable, constantly checking to make sure we had everything we needed and the owner came out visiting each table. The presentation of the food was beautiful, we tried the Redwood, Chetco, the special, the Hippie one and a couple more. The owner explained that everything that is brought in is caught responsibly and legally. Nothing from Japan, all west coast! Again, I can't tell enough how fabulous this was, also I recommend the sake from Oregon. Very tasty. Thanks for an amazing experience!!

I'm not the biggest sushi fan but this place is one of the best I've ever been to. Its a bit small but I've never had to wait more than 10 min. They are friendly, helpful with suggestions and service is good. It will be on my list of regular eateries. The presentation varies and it can be spectacular.

Fresh, delicious, sustainable. Organic items. Definitely looking forward to our next visit! Super friendly sushi chefs and staff. Service was impeccable. The menu is full of locally sourced variety including hamburgers and fresh dessert! Something for everyone. So thankful to have stumbled upon this place... It has been fairly difficult finding good food in Brookings in the past. Super impressed.

Cute little Sushi bar. Nice decor, pretty new restaurant. Small place. There is a bar where you can sit in front of the sushi chefs. First the good - the food is fantastic. Everything we got was amazing. They are also very proud of using only sustainable seafood. I ordered a burger and fries because we had our daughter with us and she doesn't like seafood at all. There aren't any kid friendly options, so I decided to just split the burger with her and asked them to cut it in half. It is a very thick burger, so she had trouble eating it. But it was delicious. It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I added cheese and bacon and the bacon was pretty undercooked, but we still ate it all. The sweet potato fries were great. I don't even like sweet potatoes and I liked them, my daughter ate the whole pile. They are thin, shoestring cut and crispy. I also ordered gyoza and it was delicious as well. Chewy little potstickers, I believe the filling is pork, a slight oniony flavor. They weren't too brown on the bottom but they were really good. My husband ordered sushi - a rainbow roll and a spicy roll. The spicy roll had roe on top, and holy crap there was a ton of it. He LOVED the sushi and ate every bite of both rolls. The fish was fresh and the rice was cooked well. Now the bad - There are limited fish options on the sushi menu. Its mostly salmon and tuna. They don't have things like eel or octopus or a lot of other good sushi fish. Mostly just salmon and tuna prepared different ways. That's minor, but.... The service was terrible and slow. The hostess filled our water several times and greeted us right away. She was really sweet. Our server had to have been super busy because we hardly saw her and everything took a really long time. Our food took forever to arrive. Well, my burger and Gyoza came out 40 minutes after we arrived. That was my food, and my daughters. They said my husband's sushi would be out soon. It wasn't. Me and my daughter ate all our food and sat there....and sat there....finally an hour after we had arrived my husband's sushi arrived. I had to leave to pick up my other daughter, so I literally saw them set it down as I was putting my jacket on. So he had to finish eating alone. But we only brought one car, so I had to go get her and come back. When I got back he was done eating and we sat there with empty plates for at least 10 minutes, when I finally flagged down the hostess and asked for the check. Even with my credit card in my hand, the server just set it down and walked off without looking at us. My husband and kids went out to the car while I stood at the hostess station waiting..and waiting. Finally the server came up with her little iPad so I could pay. It was very frustrating. We will eat here again, because sushi is delicious and the food here was fantastic. But I'm hoping not to have the same service issues, or it will be the last time we eat there.

This place is really awesome. We were coming from a full day of swimming in the smith river and starving when we came across Pacific Sushi on Yelp. It did not disappoint! The fish was super fresh, the rolls creative and the service fantastic. Shoutout to our server Jennifer, who was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely check this out if you're in Brookings!

Friendly service and fresh fish every time we come here. The place always has a great, cozy ambiance and chic contemporary style. We often get the Chirashi Combo and a few other rolls such as the 420 Roll and Ninja Roll. The fish is always delicious and very well plated. The Peach and Blueberry Cobbler is also very phenomenal!

We were on a ride coming down the Oregon Coast last week and decided to stop in for dinner at Pacific Sushi. We sat at the sushi bar and admired all the rustic wood work and the rough granite bar top.... really cozy place !!! After a couple beers and some nigori sake we got down to business ... The sushi was the freshest I think I've ever had !? no doubt ...Prices were really good...Pacific Roll was my Fav and my partner liked the baked Volcano... We may be back this summer on another ride !!!!

Not being an expert on sushi specifically but a definate foodie in general i highly recommend you get yer self down to this newest restaurant in town! Sustainability is their mantra & it shows in the quality of food offered. I had the redwood roll & was impressed with the presentation & flavor. In addition to sushi, they offer a burger that is boasted as one of the best around. There is enough breadth to the menu offerings to appeal to almost anyone. The only note of warning is that THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS NOT FAST FOOD! Everything is fresh made to order so make sure you ask how long it will take to complete your order. It is well worth the wait!

Wow! Fantastic sushi, we ordered their miso soup and three rolls: Ninja, Redwood and the Surf & Turf. We loved them all! The ambiance is just right, good music, great service. The owner Mike stopped by to check in and even helped my 90 year old grandma enjoy her first experience with chopsticks and a sushi roll, He offered her an easier set of chopsticks I've never seen before, so easy to use! Needless to say it made that experience for her more enjoyable! Thank you for going above and beyond, we will be back soon!

We were in Brookings over the July 4th weekend and decided to stop in to Pacific Sushi and grill after reading the reviews on Yelp. All I can say is that I have found my new favorite Sushi resturant. We ordered a wide variety, and absolutely everything we ordered was exceptional. Starting with the warm spicy edamame, Hamachi Nigiri, Salmon Nigiri, TORO, yes toro our tastbuds were pleasantly surprised. Very fresh, well presented large portions at a verynreasonable price considering the quality. I've eaten sushi all over and can honestly say this place beats both Nobu and Koi, two of the top shushi resturants in Las Vegas. They only use sustainable products and I was initially a little disappointed to find out that they didnt have unagi (eel). However, at the recommendation of the waitress, Chef Keith, and the owner Mike Horgan, I tried their Faux-Nagi a sustainable version of unagi using slow roasted BBQ sablefish. it was as good as any unagi I have had in a very long time. I ended up ordering more. Another favorite at the table was the Spider roll and a signaature roll called Monster Volcano which consisted of fresh tuna roll topped with mixture of spicy sweet scallops, Salmon, and real Dungeness crab baked in a wonderful sauce and topped with masago. The roll exploded in or moths and we looked at eachother in amazement and we savored every last morsel. The chef and owner both came out to the table to see how we like the food. We were surprised to learn Mike, a comercial fisherman, only opened the place six months ago and this was their first venture into the sushi business. Well, they already have a loyal following that kept the place moving at a fast pace right up to closing time on a foggy Sunday night. Needless to say we will be back and I would recommend that everyone give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi here. It really is nothing new, but the food tasted fresh, and the service was great. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice sushi dinner is southern Oregon.

The food was excellent beyond belief, and the plating was beautiful. My complaint last time was the service was slow and tonight it was amazing! Food came out super fast, even the burger my boyfriend ordered came out great and was served fast. The staff was very friendly, as they were last time. This place is going to do great! Tonight there was a computer glitch on pur order and the waitress made sure to apologize and get it fixed, it was not that big of a deal because she had let me know before hand they had a new system. All in all I was very impressed this time around and will continue to go back for the excellent everything.

Best Sushi I've had in Oregon. I've eaten a lot of sushi in Oregon, and this place is the best! We started our order with miso, the 3rd miso soup at different restaurants in 2 days, and this was the best. Then we ordered the gyozo which was cooked to perfection and nice and juicy inside. We ordered the Chetco and the Vegetable Futomaki rolls. I don't think I've ever ordered a vegetable roll before, but it was fantastic. Seating was a little slow on Friday night, but worth the wait. I almost never order dessert, but thought the wasabi cheesecake sounded interesting. It was sublime! A light taste of wasabi, the soft and not hardened cheesecake, with the berry drizzle over the top was EXQUISITE! I absolutely loved this place! Well priced compared to the other sushi we've tried in Brookings too. We'll definately be back!

Not knowing a lot about sushi I was kind of nervous/shy when it came down to what to order but they were very helpful and non judgmental. There bacon wrapped tuna rolls are soooooo yummy! It's a must to stop by if your in town!!!! Now the struggle to find something on the same level near me :/

I'm NOT a sushi expert by any means but we enjoyed our first visit to Pacific Sushi. We tried the Redwood, The Chetco, The California Roll, The Volcano and the miso soup. Volcano was my favorite, followed by the redwood. Great service, love the decor and our group of 8 was all served at the same time and without a long wait time. We will come back. Had a great time and tried new things!

Stumbled upon this little hole in the wall, greated upon arrival with a friendly smile by a younger lady with a wonderful smile, she has a great personality and directed me where to sit, recieved my appetizer within minutes and my Volcano Roll shortly after. I have been to quite a few sushi restaurants along the Oregon & California coast due to the fact, I work as a coastal territory manager and I have to say, this is my new fav - they were playin raggae to boot ;)
