My husband and I saw this restaurant as we were driving by and intrigued by the name, we decided to stop and see what it was. We almost didn't go in because there was a big party in progress, but as we turned away the proprietress came out and said "Come in, come in, we have another room!" She was a nice lady, who didn't speak much English, but she was very friendly and tried her best to answer our questions about what various things on the menu were. The restaurant is very utilitarian in appearance on the inside, there are no tablecloths or much decoration, and the menu was not proof-read by someone who knows English very well. This is not a place to go to if you are looking for great ambiance. However, these are not criteria my husband and I care much about, we care about the food, so on to that. Not being terribly familiar with Latin American food (this is NOT a Mexican restaurant), most of the menu items were unfamiliar to us, but they sounded good. I ended up ordering a Puerto Rican dish called Mofongo, which if I understood the proprietress correctly is a plantain dish. It was mashed with lots of garlic and I chose to have it served with the pork, which was delicious. The pork was chopped in bite-sized pieces and had good flavor and was in a base of sauteed onions and tomatoes. My husband ordered a dish called "Camarones Entomatados" or "Shrimp Sauteed with Tomatoes", which he was very happy with. The shrimp and tomatoes were very garlicky and rich in flavor. To drink I had the Tamarind Juice and my husband had the Horchata Salvadorena, which turned out to be similar to the standard Mexican horchata, but with a slightly different, good, flavor. The proprietress said the difference between the Mexican and Salvadoran Horchatas is that the Salvadoran has squash blended into it. The beverage list also included such interesting things as Soursop Juice, Passion Fruit Juice, Guava Juice, and something called "Chicha Morada", which is apparently made of purple corn, pineapple and cinnamon. Of course there were the normal fountain drinks too. We thought the price quite reasonable for what was obviously from scratch cooking, with our check for the two dinners and two beverages coming to $29. The time it took from between ordering the meal and when it arrived on the table was a bit slow (maybe a half an hour), maybe due to the big party in the other room, maybe not, I don't know, but the food was very good so it was worth the wait. The proprietress said they had only just opened in December (2012) and this was her first restaurant. When I asked her about the items on the menu she said that the food is from all over Latin America, but that she is from El Salvador. She encouraged us to come back and next time try the pupusas, which are apparently her specialty. I don't know if they have a website, but I was able to find a Facebook page for them which does have their menu and pictures of their food on it: facebook.com/pages/Latin…
I yelped this on my way home form work and was in the mood for some "Mexican" Food. Since I only glanced at the restaurant description while stopped at a light, I did not see that it was NOT another Taco joint. I did suddenly feel very much "Gringo" as my assumption that Latin = Mexican, and I am very glad for that because I probably would not have checked Latin Legacy out. I also in my haste did not notice that Yelp indicated that they were close on Wednesday, but they were in fact quite open for business. Once I did see this I told the owner and he said he would have his daughter change it... so just know that they are open all day on Wed. I have no idea what I ordered. I just asked for a recommendation and had a little faith they would not make me something crazy (in my mind) like a tripe salad with donkey hoof. What I got was some kind of chicken in an orange colored sauce with rice, salad, and 2 pupusas. It was REALLY tasty! Like wow I need to broaden my horizons tasty. My dinner only came to just over $12 and I thought it was a fair price for the amount of food I received. I ate half and saved the rest for lunch the next day. I will definitely be back and will bring friends.
very good food. I went with recommendations for a shrimp Mofongo dish and it was delicious! Honestly, I had never had plantain before (for anyone who is in the dark like me - it looks like a large banana) Anyway, it tasted a bit like mashed potatoes. I also tried the cheese papusa and it was also very good. The owners are adorable and their service was superb. I will be back.

I have a love-hate relationship with meat and animal products. Some days, it's all I can to stop myself from gorging on cheese-drenched hunks of cow, while guzzling a glass of chocolate milk, while wearing a fur coat. (Okay, maybe not the coat part.) Other days, I hate my murderous self, build a shrine to vegan seitan, and vow to only daintily nibble on locally-grown fruits and veggies. On a day I felt the urge to break my on-and (mostly) off vegetarian lifestyle, I stumbled into a TCBY (first of all, who knew they were still around?) and discovered that they have almond milk frozen yogurt. The fro-yo was okay, a little too sweet, but it'll do in a pinch. Anyway, the place was clean when I went in; albeit empty. After a second or two, I was greeted by a friendly staff person. She offered me samples of various fro yos, but wasn't pushy. The place was clean--no sticky tables/floors. The decor reminded me a bit of a recent trip to another place, Orange Leaf, same brightly colored, kid-friendly chairs, self-serve cups and cutesy spoons. As the place was empty, check out was quick and easy. The place itself gets about four and half stars, with a half star taken off for the vegan fro you (it just didn't satisfy my animal-based bloodlust). Would go again, if I'm ever out in Ralston.
We love going to this Tcby. The employees are always friendly and it is always clean and inviting.
Friendly employees. Good frozen yogurt. Will come back again to try new favors then they change it. Will recommend it to friends to come this way

Believe the hype! This place is amazing! Excellent food and friendly service. Get the chefs choice and have the flantastico for dessert!
Very good place to eat! I love the food. I have been here a total of 3 times. The first time I was not happy with the service, though. I had a groupon that was worth $40 of food. I called ahead and asked if they did to go orders. They said yes. When I got there, they said I couldn't use the groupon on to go orders. (It didn't state that anywhere on my groupon) I asked a few more questions trying to get to a solution, but they would not budge. They made me sit down at a table by myself, order $40 worth of food, brought it out to me and then didnt come back to check on me when they knew I just needed some boxes, so I could just box it myself and take it home. It seemed ridiculous that they plated everything up, just to have me put it all in boxes myself to take home. The last two times, I dined in. It was a cute little restaurant with average to good service, and awesome food. No complaints the last 2 visits.
The food is truly delicious, so it breaks my heart to say I'll never go back because of their service. After years of being a loyal patron, the fact that we didn't make a reservation an hour before arriving simply to use a Groupon is unacceptable. There was only one other table being served, so to be asked to leave, call in & make a reservation for an hour later, then come back is infuriating. No more Gusto Cuban Café, no more!

Taco meat had no spices, very bland. The burritos came with gravy, not what I look for from a Mexican restaurant. I would not go back.
My favorite Mexican place! My family and I have been going here for many many years and many more to come! You do have to order the correct thing. I have brought friends who have ordered some things and did not like it. I ALWAYS get the 2 soft shelled tacos with the rice and beans! You can never go wrong with this! They also have the best original cheese dip! Make sure you tell them specifically what cheese dip you want they have 2 kinds ones white and ones the original yellow one I'm unsure of the names sorry! The yellow is my favorite with a mix of the flour and corn chips. This place has gotten better with the renovations they did a few years ago they have a great big back room for and the new patio area! Well worth the long wait! Also excellent margaritas, you can buy a single or a whole pitcher, the single ones usually taste better though!
Cleanliness 3 Service 2 Food Quality 4 Likelihood 4 1-5 (5 Best!) 3.3 Special Birthday Dinner for 4 please! This was our first time here, our two guests had been there several times. It was a so busy for a Tuesday night! We had a 25 minute wait to be seated. I noticed right away how loud it was, more like a bar level in terms of noise, instead of a restaurant level. The small front patio room we were sat in was very noisy. It was VERY difficult to have a conversation at the table. After being seated for some time we were greeted by our order taker. She returned sometime later with our beverages. I reminded her that I drink a lot of both iced tea and water. Our appetizer arrive, chips and salsa with both corn chips and flour chips. I would have expected the chips to be warm. The salsa was fresh and tasty, nice! My beverages ran out, and our order taker was no where to be found. The food arrived and she refilled them then. Who would have thought brown gravy (yes, what you would put on mashed potatoes) would be good on a burrito! I didn't love my meal. When I ordered I was not given a choice of what meat I wanted, there were three options AND I forgot to say chicken. I guess beef is the default. The flour shells were interesting, not a huge fan of them. Did I mention this brown gravy thing... LOL it was so good! I never did get a second refill. I finished my meal without a beverage. Other tables where having the same issue (refills, hot sauce, etc.) No manager on duty that I saw. If you are looking for a place to have a conversation... this is not it. If you are looking for a place with great server experience... this may not be it. If you are looking for decent food and a great bar type environment... THIS IS IT!

Aberardo's has added yet another location that's within PJ driving proximity to my home. Yet, unlike the 108th Street location, this new place is a bit larger, so can accommodate seating for folks who don't eat alone. It's a chain-ish, so if you visit the other locations, you know what to expect (including the salsa bar). Having tried many things on the menu, my go to is the vegetarian burrito add carne asada. You do have to pay for a slight upgrade on the burrito, but it's a perfect share size. Decor is bright. Ambience is basic. Service is the order at the counter variety.
I usually go to the one on 108th but considering they are usually rude, the tv loud and it not "clean as it should be" I decided to try this location. I'm happy I did. this use to be an old Valentios to go building that was well maintained. A lot of room, the air conditioning actually works well and its clean. A young man behind the counter was kind enough. I almost always order the Green chili plate . The pork was cut up in smaller pieces then the one on 108th and it worked better. I don't usually like beans and rice but for some reason I almost always like theirs. It can be hit and miss though, the time for this review they were great. They have a salsa bar with a note on it asking people not to take more then they will use. A lot of people take a bunch home and "use it later" ..I usually use the brighter green one ( don't know whats it called ) and get a wedge of lime and the carrot / jalapeno mix. I love putting lime on my green chili plate, put the pork on the tortilla , add some carrot, oh so good !! this location seems to have more on the menu then the others. I think they are all slightly different. I would definitely go out of my way to go to this one,
We'd seen a couple reviews for Abelardo's and since Mexican is one of our favorite foods, wanted to check it out. First off - no fancy restaurant here. Definitely blue collar and would look right at home if you were in Central or South America. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted immediately upon entering. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. There are different daily specials throughout the week. Menu consists of items for both breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tacos, burritos, mixed plates etc. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day. Wife had the cheese enchilada combo plate with rice and beans - She said it was good. I have the chorizo combo plate with rice and beans. Very acceptable, but I have had better chorizo. You have a number of salsas to choose from. There is mild (spicy), medium (More spicy), mixed sauce salsa, and even an avocado sauce that was spicy as well. Also had the raspberry filled churros. Not bad, a bit heavy, but still okay. Prices are reasonable and the portion size was appropriate.
