I have a love-hate relationship with meat and animal products. Some days, it's all I can to stop myself from gorging on cheese-drenched hunks of cow, while guzzling a glass of chocolate milk, while wearing a fur coat. (Okay, maybe not the coat part.) Other days, I hate my murderous self, build a shrine to vegan seitan, and vow to only daintily nibble on locally-grown fruits and veggies. On a day I felt the urge to break my on-and (mostly) off vegetarian lifestyle, I stumbled into a TCBY (first of all, who knew they were still around?) and discovered that they have almond milk frozen yogurt. The fro-yo was okay, a little too sweet, but it'll do in a pinch. Anyway, the place was clean when I went in; albeit empty. After a second or two, I was greeted by a friendly staff person. She offered me samples of various fro yos, but wasn't pushy. The place was clean--no sticky tables/floors. The decor reminded me a bit of a recent trip to another place, Orange Leaf, same brightly colored, kid-friendly chairs, self-serve cups and cutesy spoons. As the place was empty, check out was quick and easy. The place itself gets about four and half stars, with a half star taken off for the vegan fro you (it just didn't satisfy my animal-based bloodlust). Would go again, if I'm ever out in Ralston.

Dairy Free options diminished So sad that TCBY had decided to carry sorbet instead of a dairy free frozen yogurt. I can get sorbet in the grocery store, but not a tasty frozen yogurt. I don't live near a TCBY so when in town I like to stop in for a treat. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.

Always friendly, clean, flavors change weekly and they list the caloric value with each flavor (bonus for calorie counters like myself). Love how this place is soft serve, and does t have a tart taste to their yogurt at places such as orange leaf. Good selection of toppings-- everything from fresh cut fruit and nuts to the bad but oh so good stuff (candy, brownie pieces, cookie dough, etc.). All in all this is my top favorite yogurt place- since you can go as healthy or as bad as you want. Also they have a rewards card that once you get 30pts (about 8-10 times) you get a $3 credit on the card-- used towards anything in the store.

You can't beat the check-in deal of 10% off through YELP. Also besides the christian music playing non-stop in the background, this place has the best FRO-YO for sure. Warm walnuts in syrup, those four words alone, sold. So good. Don't forget to sign up for a rewards card, to get points towards a free FRO-YO!
