Went to the Fire Barn to see a band.... never been there before. First impression... was hoping it was in a barn... but no... strip mall. The bar occupies the center of the mall so it is deceptively large....however the layout is terrible for seeing a band. They had crowded a bunch of tables around the dance floor so it was extremely difficult to maneuver. I thought this was a little weird, especially since the place had so many other places to sit. Also, the dance floor was by the kitchen door so it was a little weird to have a waiter walk through the dance floor on the way to deliver a cheeseburger. Service was ok.... we really never did see a waitress. I think the obstacle course...that was the dance floor, kitchen door and crowded tables.... may have discouraged them. When we went to the bar, service was good. Drinks... weak. I guess I hang around too many other lounges where they pour a stiff drink. Ordered a whiskey/water... got it...and you couldn't even notice a color change in the water. The staff I did interact with was super friendly but the layout (and drinks) just killed the vibe. I will be hard pressed to return.

Food is pretty good but service has always been frustrating. Slow and seems to be understaffed. If they stepped it up I'd visit it more often since I'm close.

Wings were outstanding! Reason for 2 stars. Services were really bad if you not a regular don't plan on getting waited on it took a regular to tell the bartender I was waiting to be served

Here's the problem rating anything in Omaha. What is crap to the rest of the country is perfectly acceptable to an Omaha native (Omatard). There really is only one bar and grill in this whole town. It just goes by many different names. OMAHA REVIEW: FANTASTIC / THE REST OF THE WORLD REVIEW: At least I didn't vomit. ... Way to hang fireman crap on the wall. I thought I was in a firehouse. ... I digested the mango habanero wings.

It's ok we live close to here. Clean environment. Just the hot sauce is not that hot, and the food here is hit and miss.

I have eaten here many times with my family when watching football on Sunday afternoons. The waitstaff has always been pleasant and attentive during the entire time of our visits. The two alarm breaded wings (flashed over) are really yummy! If you like your wings with the sauce baked in, these wings are for you. If you like them saucy, don't get them "flashed over." The burgers and pizza are also very good. Oh, and the onion rings are also very tasty. The prices are reasonable and they will turn on whatever game you want to view on one of the many TVs. Overall, we enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere much better than Jerzees, which is right up the road.

I took my wife to this place randomly and it was great! The food was amazing and the portions were generous. Their staff is very helpful. The bar is great as well, they make the best Long Island ice teas around. Definitely is a place we visit semi often.

Mediocre food at best. Not great. Service is slow!!! And here's some food for thought.... ID people!! This is literally the local place all the minors go to drink. They let them in and serve them! Had my teenage daughter with us one afternoon and they asked her what she wanted to drink, she ordered a water and the waitress says, "you dont want a drink?" Uhhh, considering she is 16, i think the water is fine! Then the waitress looks at me and says she wasn't going to card her. What does that even mean?! Is that how you get the word out you serve to minors? Only good thing.... saw Lemon Fresh Day there one night and they were great. Would have loved to stay but the place was a mess, filthy as can be, and horrible service again, so we left.

This place is very very so-so on all levels, which is tragic since my wife and I can literally walk here from our residence (and have). Nondescript bar food. That's about all one can say. At least they are better than Jerze's, up the road from them. Like Jerze's will, this place will fail when more development takes place along 370 and there is more competition. Right now, they survive on being one of the few options available. That clock is ticking VERY loudly. If all you want is a beer, this place is O.K. for that but not much else.

I have never been to the Waterloo location and this was our first visit to the Papillion location. We started with the Loaded Nachos and the word loaded should definitely be removed from the description. This was a pretty sad plate of semi burnt chips, yellow nacho cheese and a very little amount of ground beef. It also included tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, a sad little dollop of sour cream and some awful salsa. Skip these for sure. Next up was chicken tenders and wings. The chicken tenders and fries were decent but both tasted like something they buy frozen and just throw in the fryer - at least the fries were the battered style so they were crispy. They have alot of wing options, I went with naked two alarm flash over. These wings were actually pretty good - the bleu cheese sucked. Overall it was decent bar food and the waitress was friendly and attentive.

Below is an email I wrote to the management at Fire Barn. I waited over a week before I posted a review on yelp. Since I never received a response (I also left my phone number) I decided to post this email. My wife and I attempted to have dinner at the Papillion located. We sat at the bar and the bartender appeared to be the only employee working (besides the kitchen staff). She was overwhelmed and frantic. The service was slow because there was a handful of tables and a handful of people at the bar. After several minutes of her trying to find hockey on TV she finally took our drink order. She did not offer us menus. After she greeted a few other tables she finally asked if we wanted to look at a menu. We decided to try the wings and we ordered the 3-alarm wings and Texas Toothpicks. She never informed us the "default" wing was breaded and nor does it say that anywhere on the menu. When the wings finally arrived they were gross. Absolutely terrible. We were both starving and I couldn't finish one wing. The Texas Toothpicks never arrived. I told the bartender/waitress that the wings were gross and we never got the rest of the food. She was so indifferent about our reaction to the food being bad. Terrible service. I asked for the bill so we could go find dinner somewhere else. She made no effort to get another order of wings (not breaded) or offer to comp the wings. She didn't seem to care at all. What a terrible, terrible visit... and terrible, rubbery, bland wings. It is safe to say we will not be back.

Based on reviews expected bad - but had good experience. Good food. Chicken focaccia was very good.

Just went here last week and was so disappointed. The food was awful! The quality of the meals has definately gone down hill since they originally opened. This place used to be really good not sure what happened.

Service is awful and the food is what would be expected from a mediocre sports bar. They need to work on seasoning food; a simple cooking skill. Some food has zero flavor and other foods are not edible due to their resemblance of a salt lick.
