We stayed in the blue rooms and we had beautiful views of the bay (large windows even by the jacuzzi tub). Full kitchen and living area and large balcony overlooking the water. So GQ ;). The attached Champs sports bar was great! Super accommodating with the NFL ticket for Sunday football. The staff was awesome and the wings, BLT and pulled pork soup were delicious!

This is our first time visiting Flathead Lake, and unfortunately have no interest coming back. The pretentious, "you're a tourist, you're not welcome here" message was LOUD and clear at multiple restaurants in the area. The only exception was Showthyme. We walked in about 30 minutes before closing. The hostess greeted us with a smile and cleaned a table to make room for us. The food itself was outstanding! High quality ingredients and flavors meshed together perfectly. We had an excellent bottle of wine as well. The menu is a bit pricier but absolutely worth it.
Simple menu, great food. A bit pricy compared to other options around the lake, but worth it. Try the filet.
I have eaten at Showthyme for many years now and now that I've moved away from Bigfork, I have to say that Showthyme is the flavors of home. Chef Blu Funk is hands down one of the best chefs in Bigfork and ranks right up there in the entire state of Montana. He puts the passion he feels into his cooking and how he runs his business. Rose, his wife, is the hostess on most nights. She is an extremely lovely, sensible woman who really genuinely wants to please her patrons. She greets everyone with a smile, hug, handshake--this makes for an excellent run restaurant and wonderful first and last impression. This family run business is essential to any stop in the Flathead Valley. Blu and Rose employ outstanding staff, who know their food as well as their wine. Blu is an excellent businessman and the way he trains the staff here is evident from the way they present the specials every night to the professionalism they display even in a hairy situation. Blu makes sure the staff knows exactly what they are serving and how everything is prepared. This is much better than any other restaurant I've seen or even worked at personally. If they don't know how something is prepared, he makes sure they know and even taste it themselves before they hit the floor. The waitstaff can be commended again and again, not only for putting up with unruly customers, as I've witnessed, but also as a patron, you can ask them ANY question about anything on the menu and they know it. Ann is awesome this. Ask her what a coco nib is...I have no clue. But she does! And the girls in general can sell you on anything. The descriptions they give make you want to drool. This is a good thing, albeit a little embarrassing. Blu makes some of the best bread in town. It has the perfect mix of soft and crusty. Not an easy task. The hard part is not wanting to ask for more. Because you know you must save room for any of the wonderful dishes that swarm the menu. I have to say, although chefs HATE when you ask for special orders, generally Blu will do it. Just don't do it all the time, please. It's awfully annoying. You don't need to make amendments to his menu-it's already designed to perfection. Remember, you came to HIS restaurant and you came to order HIS food--the chef's--the one that knows better than you...and me. That being said, I have to tell you, I ordered the escargot appetizer that used to be on the menu years ago. So, despite my little plug for chefs around the world who hate it when you order something not on the menu-I admit I did it myself. Anywho, this escargot is just how I remembered it. Wholesome, fresh, dainty, but bold. These descriptor words could be used for most menu items. The tooth fish, the lamb, the duck...mmm the duck. I could go on. They are perfectly paired with some of the best accompaniments that you'll want more of. Sorry no refills. Oh and for starters, get the cold smoked salad, it's amazing. You will not be disappointed. Next is dessert. If you don't have room, do what I do and take it to go. Or have a dessert at the restaurant and take a second to go. Yes, I am guilty of that. But I will tell you that this is some of the best dessert anywhere. Three words: Sticky Toffee Pudding. There is nothing like it that I've had anywhere in the country. And I am one of those people who when I try something and love it, I'll try it all other places in search of the same rich, buttery, ooey, gooey flavor. I've never found it again. The only way that need is filled is here at Showthyme. From New York to Santa Fe, Seattle to LA. Forget it, Bigfork is where to find it. Leaves a small void in my palate when I think that I won't get to have more soon enough...but I must get back to reality. Also try the BEST ice cream/sorbet/custard in Bigfork from Blu. He's the Godfather in this regard. A new flavor is featured regularly, and you will not be left disappointed. Well, now I'm depressed, I won't be returning soon enough to have a Showthyme fix, so if you get the chance to go for me, please order something in my honor. And give the waitress Kim a hug from me.

Got the chicken curry wrap... First off took almost 45 minutes to get, saw people coming in and out getting there food after ordering, don't know if they forgot or what. But if your going to go don't get the wrap nothing special thought it was going to be the best thing ever for how long they took but I was utterly disappointed. On a positive note the atmosphere was chill and my cousins meal looked good.
Stopped by for breakfast on the way to Glacier National Park. Charming cafe is tucked into the shopping center with Harvest Foods and we missed it on our first pass. However, it was worth the hunt once we found it! The cafe is tiny indoors (6 tables) but has ample outdoor seating. Ambience is charming but you're really here for the food and baked goodies which don't disappoint. Our breakfast burrito and Jack-on-a-bean-stack (like a deconstructed black bean burrito) were hot, fresh and delicious. I'm a tea drinker and was pleased with the broad selection of good quality teas. Most impressive was the amazing array of fresh-baked goods--breads, scones (with fresh-picked huckleberries), Danishes, sweet rolls, cookies. Wow and Yum! As if you needed more reason to visit, free wi-fi.
Saturday morning brought an early wake up and no desire for our usual healthy breakfast. Thus, this morning call for a visit here for something sweet and gooey. I dropped in here, but there was nothing in the case. After a moment of panic, I asked what was in the kitchen or in the oven. I was told cinnamon rolls would be available shortly. I waited and was richly rewarded for my patience. I brought them to the house and Rebecca and I enjoyed them with a bit of bacon and good coffee. A warm cinnamon roll in the morning is a bit of heaven. This one, this morning, was warm, gooey, sweet and wonderful. Can only do this once a visit, but it was worth it. Dreaming of one for next year.

Love this place! Awesome food for great price!!! Very handsomely stocked bar, and nice beers on tap. They are open late year round which is a HUGE plus in bigfork. As for service, it doesn't get any better than Nora. She is the best! Always remembers our names and is so sweet. Has the best service in the valley. It's in a great location with an awesome vibe. Definitely a gem in the entire flathead valley.
Pizza was delicious...but waitress was pretty lackluster in personality. I felt like we were an inconvenience to her. We definitely got the impression she was new, as she needed to ask someone about everything we asked her....but we all start somewhere new -so didn't hold that against her. I ordered a margarita & i have never been able to finish one before without feeling it a little....well, after 2, I felt nothing at all. Was there even tequila in it?? It was pretty barren when we were there between 7-8 on a Tues eve. Just 1 other group of 3 upstairs in outside seating & no one inside at all. Even with this, it took a while to get chips & salsa.
Great pizza, burgers and I'm in love with their Reuben, the staff is always friendly and a very comfortable atmosphere, highly recommend!

Loved the outdoor table and the terrific fish and chips. My wife loved her fish tacos. Excellent lunch spot.
Love this place. Great steaks. Local bear on tap. What else do you want. Killer burger!
I had the salmon and was told it would be medium, it was def well done, still tasty though my husband had the burger and it was really good but needed different bread. We also had the stuffed mushrooms for an Ap, and they were tasty as well, this was the best meal we had so far while staying in big fork for a week.

Not a great experience. I ordered veggie fajitas which did not come out in typical fajita fashion (sizzling on a plate), they were in an odd red sauce that wasn't up to par. The food was quite expensive for what you received, aside from the guacamole which was quite good. Also, our waitress was eating a meal at a table not far away. It was awkward that one minute she was eating a taco and the next refilling our water...
Quaint Mexican joint in Bigfork. Its easy to miss because it's in a small strip mall. First off, attentive customer service and the best salsa. Customers were calling in just to order their chips, salsa and guac. Its that good. Pricewise, it's spendy. I can't really doc them for this though because it's consistent with other Mexican places in the greater Kalispell area. (But what gives?) Tastewise, it's solid, "authentic," Mexican. Great ingredients and healthy portion. Not as spicy as I like, but for the general Montana palate it's probably perfect. Not a lot of flavor layers though, and this is why I gave it only 4 stars. It just didn't have that wow factor. Rice and beans were bland, particularly the beans. My husband's fajitas were in a red sauce that wasn't really flavorful (but did have an interesting smokiness, probably smoked paprika....). Chicken and beef were really tender, but again not a lot of flavor. We also tried their Coctel de Camarones which was really fresh but again lacking in flavor. The shrimp were bland, probably farm-raised. They were out of Mole. My favorites were the salsa of course and the Chile Relleno. Enchilada, Taco and Fajitas were solid, but not outta this world like the Mexican in Cali. We'll come back I'm sure and try a few more things.
We have eaten here numerous times and never had anything but a good meal. Everything is very fresh and well prepared Especially like their shrimp tacos and chorizo tacos

I'm a fan! Got me with the biscuits and gravy off the bat they are a home run! The basic breakfast and the thick cut bacon was amazing! I loved it and was so full! Coffee is great and they will fix anything on the spot if there's an issue. The pancakes are superb and the burgers are pretty damn big! Bring your appetite and prepared to be stuffed! The homemade lemonade is worth the price and you get free refills!
This is a difficult review because the food was really good but the service made it a horrible experience. We ate here twice for breakfast and both times we experienced poor service. I went back a second time only bc the food was good and I figured the waitress was having a bad day. The second visit they were very busy and our waitress had too many (6) tables spread out throughout the restaurant and patio. Of the four of us, she got two orders completely wrong. The food took 45 min to come. She forgot our drink orders. The barista was obviously not able to handle the rush and my latte arrived shortly before the food. I got up and got my own jams and jellies. Then overheard the table next to us also complain their order was wrong too. It just seemed as if the staff was content in 2nd gear when they really needed to shift into 4th gear for the holiday rush. Its a shame bc in this cute quaint town, this is one of a few breakfast places. I will not visit it again.
I came to Pocketstone Cafe based off of a friend's recommendation, it was my first time in Montana and we had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport for our return flight. The small downtown of Big Fork is just adorable, there were a few restaurant options but my friend said Pocketstone was the must try! We put our name in and waited about 20 minutes for our table, we were seated outside on the adorable porch. I got the turkey sandwich which was delicious! The bread it came on was made in house and SOO good, it was fluffy but still held up to the sandwich. Everything on the menu looked awesome, especially the breakfast. When and if I find myself in Big Fork again I will 100% be coming back here!

Fantastic Breakfast! Homemade jam at every table, huge slices of bacon. We will be back many times.
While waiting over 30 minutes for our breakfast on a slow Thursday morning we got to watch an employee put his bare feet up on the counter and wrap his ankles with dirty ace bandages. He went back to work without washing his hands and he didn't wash the counter, then someone was seated at that spot. We didn't stick around after that so I can't say anything about the food. Drive a few more miles and go to the Echo Lake Cafe where the food is amazing and fast and the service is excellent.
As always they have the best breakfasts with locally made pork sausage patties. This is my favorite place for breakfast while visit in Bigfork. Echo Lake cage also has a great breakfast but they can be v busy sometimes and there may be a wait before getting seated at a table.

Seedy, drunken clientele who are often fighting and yelling in the streets at night.
