These are the first Mississippi Tamales I've ever eaten and I was very happy with them. I was a little concerned when I saw that I could only order them by the half dozen or dozen but when I saw the size I was relieved that I could eat them all. They are about half the size of tamales on the west coast and the corn tastes different. Also they are moist all the way through. They only come in one flavor but I don't know if that's the standard here or not. Compared to west coast tamales, which tend to be slightly dry in the corn portion, these were delicious. Now I'm definitely going to try more tamale stands when I come back to Vicksburg.

Good tamales on a side-of-the-road joint. Cajuns run the place so they have boudin also that is good.

The best tamales! Moist and temperature hot every time! They tend to get spicy the more you eat. Saltine crackers, which can be also be purchased here, helps offset the spice. Make sure you go early because once they're gone, they're gone.

True Southern gem for tamales. Walk into an indoor tamale stand with ample parking outside - as in huge parking lot. Remember, it's only a stand - no seating available. Generally, order, pay, go! $8.50/dz of tamales. Has firm texture that cuts easily but does not fall apart upon cutting. Be sure to add tabasco/hot sauce on it for extra flavoring. Seen others order burger and fries as well. REMEMBER: Cash only!

I can't say that these are the best hot tamales. They are the only hot tamales I've ever had but they are awesome. Also, the burgers here are so good they should be illegal. I highly recommend that f you come here that you get a burger. This is a carry out place only!! Prices and very reasonable. The current staff are awesome.

I drive an hour for these yummy tamales. Everyone in my family loves these. Great starter to any meal. I even served them on Thanksgiving. Can't get enough. I'm hooked!

Awesome food. No seating but we ate out of our trunk. Next time I'll bring a chair, lol. Fast service, nice people and very inexpensive.

I have been going to this place at least once a week for YEARS. I live for their chili-cheese nachos....best nachos Ive ever eaten! Try the tamale supreme, you will not be disappointed. Great food, cheap prices, what more can you ask for?

Yum! Perfect quick cheap dinner without resorting to fast food. I recommend cutting up some lettuce and tomatoes to go with them since you pretty much have to eat them at home anyway, makes it a little less dense and more of a meal. For $8.50, you get a dozen tasty little tamales, quickly wrapped up and ready to go. Texture and flavor are just awesome. I guess there is some controversy between them and Solly's of who has the original recipe of a guy named Solly... I will try them next and maybe update this review.
