Service, poor, waiter was not interested in serving us. Food, Poor, the chilies rellenos had small piece of bell pepper with ground beef and cheese. Not your typical rellenos,and not very tasty. The pulled beef in the tacos was acrid and the hard tortilla shell softened immediately. and tasted like Del Taco shells. When we complained about the most egregious of the missteps,they stated that is the way they make the rellenos. Similar to a pancake made primarily with tuna fish.

Good atmosphere friendly staff! And good food at a reasonable price! We had the tostadas and two were as much as you could eat!! Very fresh and good food! Salsa could use more spice but I like to be on fire when I eat salsa!

Just an average to above average Mexican restaurant. The steak is pretty good. I believe it is owned by the same owners as el sombrero, so understandably, the quality and service is near identical. The salsa special is definitely the go-to lunch menu option. I would return. Please assist me in "Bringing the internet" to this town by adding your own review as well as pictures of the menu. My wife and I ate here while traveling after we saw the listing on Yelp. We both enjoyed the food very much. The service was average. There was one time while we were waiting to order that our waiter was walking toward our table and then stopped and stood in place watching soccer on the TV. It wasn't like they were busy. We were one of 2-3 parties in the place at that time. We did get what we needed in a relatively timely manner. I just wish he exhibited more care for serving us. He seemed like he'd rather we not be there instead of being thankful we were paying his wages. By the way, the salsa was very tasty. I ordered beef tacos, and they were good, as well as the beans and rice.

We stopped here while traveling and had a wonderful meal! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. If you like really hot salsa, ask for their salsa picosa. The salsa special and the chicken chilaquiles were wonderful. Portions were large and prices very reasonable. If we are passing through Vicksburg again, we will definitely stop here! Highly recommend!!

The food is just as good as el sombrero but the service is faster and not as crowded. Excellent food and extremely nice people! They treat their customers like gold!

Reheated. Chilaquiles without eggs? Also, Tacos with what was clearly supermarket tortillas. Save your pockets and yourself (your stomach will make sure to convince you to never come back).

Food was good. Drinks were good. Waiter was totally disinterested in waiting on us. Had to go to the cashier just to get the check. Would have had another rita but its tough when they never check back. I'll not go back but the prices and quality were decent. The service was disappointing .

Consistently the best Mexican in town. This is a family-run establishment, and everyone always makes you feel that you're welcome and appreciated. The parking lot can often look very busy, but the restaurant accommodates a surprising number of people. Service is always fast and friendly. I've never had a bad mean, regardless of what I order. A recent remodeling has given the inside a fresh feel; an outdoor dining area is currently under construction.
