Kooky Burgers is a quaint and comfortable burger joint. They have a good toppings bar with the normal condiments for a burger including things like jalapeños and guacamole. The guacamole was very fresh and looked like it was made in the store this morning. The guacamole needed some more onion, salt and lime to give it a little more flavor. I got the double kooky burger with bacon and cheddar cheese and some french fries. It is huge. The patties are too big to have a double patty burger. Half way through, I took one hamburger patty off because it was too big. I would not order the double burger again. I would order the single and it would be plenty filling - and I am a big guy. The burger is a good quality burger with a nice char on it and it was cooked pretty close to perfect. There is not much seasoning to the meat so if you like a thick and meaty burger that highlights the natural beef flavor then you'd like it. The bacon on the burger had mixed results. 1 piece was perfect, nice and crispy but not burnt. The other piece was way undercooked with a large piece of unpleasant unrendered fat on it. The fries were ok. They seemed like your standard frozen fries. For the premium price I would have liked fresh cut fries or maybe some sort of fry sauce. Service was rough. Took about 30 minutes to get the burger and even longer to get my change, but the service was friendly. I'll chalk the slow service up to typical grand opening kinks. Overall it was a good burger and a quaint place right next door to orange leaf. Main downside: PRICE. My double burger with bacon and cheese fries and a drink cost me $16 after the tip. What?!?! Yea. It's a good burger but I can already get a very good and similar burger in town in a nicer atmosphere with fries a drink and some pretty good bread and honey as an app too for $15 including the tip (and that's considered one of the nicest restaurants in town). So I'm not sure how this will fit in the current market. I'd love to eat the burger regularly but for $16 it would be the most expensive lunch in Vicksburg of any of the places that are on my "regular rotation" - especially when you consider I can eat Hibachi (yum) for about $10 or get a good fast food burger combo meal for $7. My review would have been 4 stars based on the burger quality alone but for the value I had to rate it 3 stars.

Kooky Burgers located in Vicksburg MS right behind the Walgreens, is a burger restaurant similar to Five Guys. In this restaurant you are able to construct your hamburger from the meat, the bread, and your choice of sides. All the burgers are handmade and seasoned very well. The starting price is $10 for the meal and it can go up if you choose to add extra topping for a $1. The meal includes your side item, a drink, and I think a ice cream too. If you love eating hamburgers then I highly recommend you check this place out.

I'm not a burger fan really, but it was okay. The Sweet Potato Fries are good though. I have an idea as to how to save this business: Turn it into a strip club.

Slightly impressed by the flavor of the burger. I ordered what is considered the Kooky Special. The meat was flavored exceptionally well. Came with bacon. Added a fried egg which was a little runny for my liking. The onion rings were TOO crunchy. Not burnt but the breading was very crunchy. All meals come with one scoop of self serve ice-cream. I didn't bother getting any though. I will come back.
