New space in the Crossroads Center with large windows and a gas fire place. Not your previous Pancake House atmosphere. There is a clean slick look with modern furniture. On a Saturday morning expect family time to be crowded and noisy. In our group we had fast service. There was a place setting missing but was quickly corrected. All orders were cooked to perfection except for the Healthy Start breakfast egg whites which were soggy even leaving a puddle on the plate. The server was quick with the coffee refills (that may be all it takes to satisfy me) and the large order arrived in about fifteen minutes.

My first experience was sub-par due to service and food quality issues. However, I had contacted the manager, mostly because I was pretty freaked out by a flaw in my meal, and he was informative and apologetic. And so I thought OPH totally deserves a second chance. It's hard to stay mad at food, especially when there's make-up hashbrowns to be had. This time, I ordered the steak & eggs w/cheesy hashbrowns, and my boyfriend got the Western omelet w/a side of bacon. My steak was the highlight - 5oz of perfectly cooked medium-rare sirloin. It tasted like it was seared on the same flattop that they cook the bacon on, which I am a fan of. Please sear my meat's fat with other meat fat. My hashbrowns were crispy this time but they forgot the cheese. My bf thought his pancakes and omelet were good, not amazing, but good. And we both enjoyed the bacon. He got a coffee and OJ - OJ was fresh but sour. So the food is good, and I applaud upper management for being great at communicating when needed, but the things that keep this restaurant from being highly rated by me is the functionality of service and the pricing. So it's mainly a breakfast place, which means I haven't eaten in like the last 12 hours, and I'm hangry about it. It would be in everyone's best interest if my meal was served on one complete dish that I was equipped to instantly start inhaling. But I got my steak and eggs on one plate, and then waited for my hashbrowns separately, but they didn't have cheese so I waited for them to be cheesed, and then there wasn't ketchup on the table and so I waited for that too. Granted the waits weren't too long, but it was a process, and I was one step away from public cannibalism. (It was a process to fix my coffee in my first review). So we were content until we paid our $47 bill (including the tip). The one cup of coffee and OJ was almost $8 alone, which is like the price of an entire breakfast in the standard breakfast world. And it's not like we were being brunch bitches eating lobster omelets w black truffle hollandaise (which I have eaten for cheaper in Chicago), we had pretty basic breakfast items for over $23 per person.

Went out to Roseville to do some shopping and didn't realize they had opened an OPH here. That was good because I had heard about horrible wait times at the Edina location. We were probably at an off time but there was hardly anyone in there when we went in on a weekend afternoon. I had a hard time deciding what to order. I ended up getting a breakfast meal that had 2 eggs and some pancakes. It was cheap and I have no idea how they made 2 scrambled eggs look like so much. It was a plateful that I asked them to add cheddar cheese to and it was fluffy and delicious. The pancakes were good too but I am not sure which kind I got. They have 2 different kinds on their menu. I don't know which is the type they are famous for or like I said, which kind I got. The ones I got were good though, I have only had better pancakes once up at a place in Canada in some Podunk town on the way to Winnipeg where I honestly think the pancakes were made in heaven. My mom got an omelet that was so huge it could have easily fed two people, and it comes with pancakes! I'll definitely be back because I really want to try their eggs Benedict (the picture someone posted on here looks incredible!) and some other options on the menu.

Excellent pancakes, truly delicious souffle omelettes. Decided to give them a second chance today. New Year, New opportunities, right? The first time I came here the service and food were well below par. I had to speak to the manager to get the issues resolved and he offered me a new meal that he didn't charge me for. Good fix. Today the food and service were both much better, due in part to the fact that they probably worked out some of their kinks from being a rather new establishment in the Roseville area. I ordered the Thick-Sliced Bacon and Two Eggs, comes with pancakes or toast. Of course I got the pancakes! They are a little bit of alright, and so is the syrup. (Their bacon is seriously thick and juicy! Think Manny's applewood-smoked bacon appetizer, only this would be his baby sister or something) The man ordered the Meat Lover's Omelette. Woah. That thing is huge and comes with sausage, chunks of bacon and thick cut ham, not to mention oodles of melted cheese. It's like a Juicy Lucy omelette! It looked like he needed some help, so I took it upon myself to help him eat it. The coffee was a bit slow going at first, and the coffee is probably the first barometer by which I judge all breakfast / brunch joints. If the coffee is good, hot and fresh, that's all it really takes to make me happy. We had to ask for cream and sugar which took awhile, so our first cups got a bit cold from the waiting, but after that we got refilled several times throughout the meal so it really wasn't bad at all. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out. The interior is very clean and modern, and if you're a nursing (or pumping) mum, they have a nice little alcove in the women's restroom with a rocking chair and a table which I thought was excellent, if not necessary. Shout out to whomever planned that idea, and all new mums with nurslings (including myself) can rejoice and not be afraid to venture out with their little ones who will need to be fed on demand. Think about how cranky we become when we don't get our meals. Now multiply that by 10. This place gets packed so plan accordingly. We walked in at 9:45am on a Sunday and got seated immediately. When we left an hour later, the lobby was completely filled up with waiting guests. So it's definitely popular and an all round good experience. Well done Original Pancake House. We'll be back!

Excellently prepared American diner food. The 49er cakes were gooey yet surprisingly light. The hash-browns should always be ordered with cheese....only downside is the wait to get a seat. Good service, but a little frosty. Quick to refill pop but the carbonator was on too low and the pop was a little flat.

Zach was our server today and he was great! He was efficient, polite and pleasant. The great food made the whole experience wonderful. Thank you, Zach!

Love love love their pancakes!!! Try the coconut and pecan pancakes!!!! Also their Chia Tea is delicious as well! There's no wonder that there's always a wait to get in because they are the best!!

This place is just OK in my eyes. In fact, someone today, asked if I wanted to eat breakfast here and I said "not really" so that shows its in line with my review...OK but nothing I would seek out. I had Eggs Benedict and it was good and my friend had an omelette I think...My eggs benedict came with some potato pancakes or something that you put syrup on. I did like the little silver containers of different kinds of syrup. I thought was a cute idea and they appeared homemade. Service was middle of the road and noise level is extremely loud since its in a big open space. There were lots of children and families. This place is just not my scene. I am a grump in the mornings and I prefer a smaller, quieter place to eat my Eggs Benedict and drink my coffee to wake up..

This place is constantly packed but it must be worth the wait if people are this into it. They have an app where you can put yourself into the queue for seating - bonus. With the place so busy though, it seems the kitchen can get a bit behind and you can be sitting there waiting for your food too. 25 minutes into waiting for our food to arrive, our server finally returned to our table and apologized for the kitchen being behind (my husband thinks the order wasn't even put in as he noticed several people who sat down after us and leaving before us). The selection as far as their menu was pretty good. Apart from the Dutch baby, food seemed like normal breakfast fare you could get anywhere. Was looking forward to the potato pancakes but they didn't seem as flavorful as I'd hoped for - perhaps it needs more onion? Don't know how pressed I would be to return.

Fair warning - the portions are very large (on a prior visit I took half my omelet home). I was seated at the timer promised after a 15 minute wait during prime time on a Saturday. The server was at my table before I even sat down to offer coffee. Most of my order came promptly except for the side of toast. The major complaint is with the hash browns which were not provided crisp as requested. I sent them back once because there was only a crisp outer crust ; most of the inside was close to raw. Even after I sent them back they were not crisp through . The bacon, as noted in other reviews is very good but VERY salty.

I have been to the Phoenix location several times, and when I was in St Paul visiting relatives I discovered this one and went 3 times in one week! Same great food like the amazing souffle omelets with a few specialties of their own like the Huevos Rancheros and Eggs Benedict. Don't miss the bacon - thickest and tastiest I've ever had! We had a great server every time. Worth the wait!

Did I miss a meeting, or were my Yelp friends saving me from myself to not let me in on this new location. It's the closest one to me. I went on the afternoon of Mother's Day and caught the last seat of the counter. This space is huge, so is the bathroom, and the counter, waiting area, throw in the parking lot. The bright openness is a whole different vibe from the others. The server, Diane was great and super friendly. The food came out pretty fast, even though I just got my usual Jr/Sr pancakes with bacon. The bacon is better here, a little crispier, not dried out rubber. One of the pancakes was a little smaller than the other two, but they were all good. It came out with a a tiny blob of butter, so I asked for another tiny blob and it was perfect. I've never seen so many people smiling in Roseville at one time. I had no idea this would be the spot for an OPH, and it's perfect. I'll even be able to show Ulta more love.

This a great breakfast/brunch spot, do expect a long wait if you come during the weekend/holiday . The food quality is good and plenty, but the service is poor. I have been here multiple times and each time the service was poor. Seems like the staff may have a few too many tables to serve, a lot of waiting. Parking can also be a hassle depending on when you go. This location doesn't have the traditional OPH setting/decor, it a bit more modern. They offer turkey links and sausage- much better alternative for those with dietary restrictions.

I expect only a few people to understand me when I say Original Pancake House makes ihop look like the League of Nations of pancakes. But that's okay. The Roseville is a nice addition to a mall that seems like it would die without an infusion of sugar and carbs. Pancakes are always a good economic stimulus. As the Roseville location is inside the mall, they can use the interior as a mini waiting room. You can choose a text alert as you wait with the world's tiniest coffee cup. The interior of the restaurant is very Dairicana (lots of pictures of 50s era pancake cooks and dairy queens) and bright colors. Breakfast yay! The menu is akin to the other OPH franchises: a glut of pancake, waffle, French toast, or crepe options along with scramblers and omelets and their famous, dutch babies. My last visit I tried a scrambler (no worries, I still got the side of pancakes) with salmon and cream cheese. It was good, but I'll likely stick to the pancakes next time. The service is typically friendly, but speedy. Sometimes I feel a little pressured to know what I want (hello? Have you seen your menu?) but the food comes out quickly and tastes delish.

Met a friend for breakfast on a rainy Monday morning, and we were seated immediately, so I have no complaints about wait time like I've seen in previous reviews. This being my first time to OPH I was impressed with the store; clean, modern interior with a touch of classic pancake house with accents like the old-timey coffee mugs. As for the food, I had the 49er pancakes with a side of hash browns and coffee. For me, coffee is a very pass-fail situation while ordering breakfast, and I'm happy to give OPH a passing grade! Another personal litmus test for a solid breakfast is the hash browns, and again, the soft yet crispy hash browns receive passing grade! Not the greatest I've ever had, but still very good. I also ordered the 49er pancakes because they seemed to be kind of a signature item (trademarked?). Turns out they're definitely not what you'd expect when you think of pancakes because they're really more of an eggy crepe. These plate sized "pancakes" were delicious with the butter and syrup given and I had no problem scarfing down the better part of my short stack in no time! Though because of the unexpected form and texture, I'm eager to return to OPH to try some classic pancakes. All in all I would totally recommend OPH for a Roseville breakfast.

Meh! Only eat here if you have to. The wait was longer than expected. We were supposed to be seated early, but the host saw my pregnant wife and said that she was too big for the booth. We were like whattttt! My wife is about 8 months pregnant and we were hungry, she said we'd be next then 4 other parties were called, she made us wait another 15 minutes for a table and almost forgot about us. Also, our server was not personable. We thought he was the water boy, because he didn't introduce himself, just asked us if we wanted drinks and then came back and said "are you ready to order." Again, my wife and I in our heads were like "whatttttttt." Our food came out quick and was okay, but nothing special. When we left, there were three host members at the door, and and there was no acknowledgement, or thanks for stopping in. Bad experience overall. One more thing...I would assume, if your over-weight, it's going to be a wait, because my my pregnant wife is pretty small and if she can't fit in the booth, who can. :/

After hearing accolades for the past few years about the breakfast at this restaurant, I joined the friend who loves it so much for weekday breakfast. Parking in their lot is easy. Decor is large, open, colorful and cheery. Our server was friendly and pleasant. My friend recommended that if I was interested in eating an omelette we ought to share a plate since they are huge. Once I perused the menu and read about their omelettes, I decided that ought to be my breakfast. It's baked and made with 4 eggs with choice of filling (we ordered the vegetables and Swisserella cheese). On top of that, it's served with either 3 buttermilk pancakes or toast. We opted for the pancakes with their "homemade maple syrup". Once our plates of food arrived, our server then brought us another plate so that we could split our omelette. There was no extra charge for this. The omelette was really good - fluffy and with a variety of vegetables in it along with their cheese blend. And those pancakes... they were excellent. Hot, delicate, light in texture, and cooked all the way through. Also, that "homemade maple syrup" was pretty good. Finally, the coffee was decent. I will look forward to returning to this place for more breakfasts.

Before hitting up the Oval later in the morning, stopped in at OPH for breakfast. I heard rumors of an apple cake souffle thing that was very good and a challenge to eat. Considering how good and challenging the last souffle I wrecked was, I felt obligated to give this pig a shot. No wait at 9.30 am on a Sunday morning. Seems strange but, lucky for us. Get seated next to the windows which was very nice to look out into the parking lot and see people struggle with the rain/sleet/snow. Throw the order in, I roll with the souffle and a side of over easy eggs. She rolls with french toast and a side of scrambled cheese eggs. I expect a long wait for a souffle, generally 15-20 minutes. Food arrives in 10 much to my delight and confusion. Either way, it looks stellar. Not intimidating or spectacular. Eggs looked like shit, but, we'll get into that later. The crazy part is I talk about the last time I went at one of these, I burnt my mouth to a crazy char. Lesson learned? Hell no, I'm a guy, first bite burns the hell out of my mouth which prompts laughter and "I'd say you told yourself so, but you still won't learn." With explaining my lack of mental reasoning skills out of the way, onto the food itself. It was ok. It wasn't nearly as dense as I was hoping for with the dish. Very gooey, in a runny way, where the caramel/sugar topping was more runny than it was sticky. I'm not sure if that's a sign it wasn't in long enough to get thicker (I'm not a baker or a sugar expert)? However, it was a sweet dish, and the apples were too thinly sliced to provide any sort of crunch, texture or even flavor. Sugar and dough/batter were the predominant flavors and that was very disappointing. The eggs. I went with over easy. I got somewhere between basted-sunny side up. My fork hit the white and instantly a river of water/egg snot started flowing everywhere from on top of the whites. Whatever, I really just need them for some semblance of protein with this meal. Presentation and cooking to specification be damned I guess. At least I had some scrambled eggs and cheese. French toast was about as generic as it gets too. Nothing special at all about it. Faint taste of cinnamon and no hint of vanilla or anything else. Meh. Water pitcher was replaced once, needed to be replaced again, but, no such luck. OPH - checked off the list. I was hoping for better, really. I always figured OPH for something above Ihop or Perkins or any of the other chains, but, that was a blind hope considering I'd never been to one before. However, still the same chain breakfast thing, just in a prettier place. Sorry to say.

I freakin' love breakfast here. I didn't realize there was a OPH close to me, which is this Roseville location. Discovering this was a very nice treat. If breakfast is your favorite meal of the day then you should get your tush to this place. Be prepared to wait. I've never been to any location where I was seated immediately. They don't take reservations either. Although I've heard that you can call an hour ahead to get your name on the list, but I've never tried. Good news though is parking is abundant. There's a huge lot. It took about 45 minutes for our table. I think the hostess could have been a tad bit friendlier when she sat us. Then again, no one at the hostess stand was smiling, there were about 3 of them, so maybe they were all having a down day. The manager was almost a frantic happy, at least I think he was the manager, he balanced it out. The menu had breakfast of course, but also lunch options beginning at 11am I believe. I always order breakfast if it's served all day. All the breakfast items looked solid. We settled on coconut pancakes, two eggs with hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, OPH omelette, and a sante fe omelette with pancakes. This was way too much food for the four of us. The coconut pancakes were delish! The presentation was cute, the coconut shreds looked like little snow piles, white piles of course not the after sludge. It comes with a tropical syrup, that was a bit too sweet for me. The soufflé omelettes not only sound fancy, they tasted like it. They're fluffy, creamy, and filling. One can feed two people. I only ate a third of my omelette it was so big. Servers kept walking by me with these giant apple pancakes, as big as my head, next time I'm there I'm gettin' me one of those suckers. This wasn't a 5 star for me because of the long wait time after ordering. It took about 30 minutes for us to get our food. Everything was hot, but we already were waiting for 45 minutes. I was cranky from starving by the time we ate.

DID SOMEONE SAY " GOOD B A C O N " ???? This is for sure a 5 Star for the type of restaurant this is. Like Perkins on steroids. Clean, pleasant, warm, friendly, busy, good vibes, And a fireplace in the middle of the place, like many restaurants in ski resort towns. With an innovative menu, I will have to go back to try other things. The food that passed our booth was extremely tasty looking. I guess I have to confess : I had the Chopped Bacon Pancakes. But at least I got the short stack, so that was better, right? I was going to take a picture of it, but I ate it all before I remembered too. Yes I Did !!! So this bacon was worth spending bacon calories on. Lean, thick sliced, and very flavorful. Even the artificial maple syrup wasn't too bad. Oldest daughter had the turkey sausage links and eggs. The jury is still out on any turkey sausage for me. If you are sure it came from breast or thigh meat I would love it, but if origins are unknown, ick. Let's not talk about pork sausage please. Next time I will try the whipped and baked omelets, called soufflés. And then the salmon scrambled eggs. Yum. I forsee trips to Rosedale in my future. I love how most of the staff wore Viking shirts (Sunday). Yes, we did have to wait for a table, but it was in the 10 min time frame projected. They provide complimentary coffee while waiting! My very first waitressing job was at Uncle John's Pancake House which was right across Snelling from here. So maybe I have a soft spot for pancake houses :-) O R D E R S O M E T H I N G W I T H B A C O N

Decided to come here on a Sunday morning. The wait was long about 40-50 minutes. Make sure you get the app for it (NoWait) so you can reserve early! Once seated got some good coffee to start. I ordered the meat lovers omelette with pancakes and the lady got the berry waffle. The food was so out of bounds! I've never seen a omelette so big and the meats where thick cut, not the skimpy ones you see at other breakfast places. The waffle was amazing, a lot of berries and fresh!! Great atmosphere and service! Come here for breakfast, you won't regret it! Make sure you reserve ahead of time!!

Busy place, but both food and service were excellent. Even better, they can notify you when your table is ready via text. Coffee is great, bacon is delicious. What more can you ask for?

The Apple Pancake was ridiculous! One was more than enough for my wife and I to share. We also had the hash browns with something call swisserella on top of it- too good. I know this place is a chain, but you really gotta try this place.

Ok, so I think the couple of bad reviews that started this place out were due to the restaurant having just opened up and having kinks to work out because my husband and I went there on a Tuesday morning around 8:30 and not only did we have great food, our service was outstanding. I had the Moxie Eggs- very good and the potato pancakes a bonus and my husband had one of their specialties, the apple pancake- amazing and huge! Better come really hungry if you're going to order that! We will definitely be back and we're thrilled to have an OPH near us now because we have been lacking good breakfast places and don't count Perkins or Denny's or other run-of-the-mill places like that because we like something that is unique but good. Looking forward to making it our new breakfast "spot".

We have waited forever for an Original Pancake House to open in St. Paul!!! Not sure why the reviews for the new Roseville location aren't outstanding because everything is! We have visited 4 times and each visit has been just as awesome as EP or Edina except the wait is WAY less... The 49er cakes, bacon and coffee are the best in the world! Come visit and see for yourself!!!

My wife and I actually go out of our way to find OPH's when traveling. This one is fairly new, big, clean and well laid out. Their standard fare (dutch baby, apple pancake, crepes, corned beef and hash, swedish pancakes, potato pancakes, 'souffle' omelettes) are all just as good here as elsewhere. (we were a large party) If you come on the weekend, call ahead for a reservation -- otherwise you might end up waiting 30-40 minutes. Our one complaint - extremely slow service. From the time we were seated until we received our first drink - 40 minutes. Then the rest of our drinks started coming out 1 or 2 at time. We also had problems getting water. Once management was alerted, they addressed the issue and resolved everything to our satisfaction. we were very impressed with how they quickly took care of the problem.

I like this Original Pancake House location a little more than the one in Edina, though it doesn't really feel like an OPH. I asked our server and she said it used to be an Italian place. It kind of looks like that. It's bigger, brighter and a little more friendly. Our visit was good and bad, which is too bad, because there was a lot of potential for a great visit. It seems like you have to arrive when doors open at 6:30 a.m. to get a table without waiting here. Waits of 30, 40+ minutes are pretty common. I will say, though, that I enjoy the text message system that sends you a text when your table is ready. Convenient. And they were right on the money with their time estimate for us. But I did find it annoying that I got three additional "your table is ready, we can't hold your table" texts after we had been seated. You'd think the system would stop sending them after they seat you. Food-wise, it was good. Very solid breakfast food all around. This time I went for eggs benedict, which was totally fine in a good, rich Hollandaise sauce. The muffin was a little thick (seems I have that complaint a lot about Eggs Benedict), but other than that, spot on. Coffee was good and strong. (I did find the cream to be oddly thin -- my husband thought it was milk.) One complaint I had was that the menu and even the menu online say that this dish is served with buttermilk pancakes, but it came from the kitchen with potato pancakes. They were good and I ate them but when we inquired, our server was insistent that this dish comes with potato pancakes, and I was certain the menu said otherwise (to the point where I checked the online menu and verified what I thought). Don't know if that's something that just needed to be updated on the menu or what, but was kind of odd since I thought I knew what I ordered. I also kind of thought she could have offered to substitute buttermilk pancakes since that was clearly what I wanted, but no dice. Service-wise, I would say it was meh. The weakest link of our experience for sure. Part of it is just that they are so busy. Part of it I think is that this restaurant is not very efficient in terms of table turnover. We saw many tables sit empty for long periods of time even though people were waiting 45+ minutes to be seated. They could have turned them faster. And then finally, our waitress was completely overwhelmed because the hostess team sat her entire section at once. They sat a 6-top and three two-tops, including us, all at once. I felt bad for her. I've worked as a hostess before and you never do that to servers. It results in poor service all the way around, which is exactly what we experienced. She was rushed, impatient and somewhat frazzled, literally having trouble choosing which table to go to first for drinks, food orders, etc. She was also extremely hard to even flag down, which is something we tried (and failed) to do at least three times during our meal. So good food. Long wait. OK service (again, I'm putting the blame for that one on the hostess team and not really our waitress). Maybe next time things will be better.

My wife and I went to OPH in Roseville on New Years Day. We waited 20-25 minutes to get seated, which we were prepared to do. Eventually we got seated in the far back by the restrooms, and just sat there. A couple other groups got seated after us and got served, yet we were ignored for some reason. We sat there for about 10 minutes with not so much as a glass of water. We got up and left. Told hostess about the issue. She apoligized and wanted to reseat us. We just left and said we'd never come back. Too bad. We had been there before and liked the food, but even then we noticed the service was getting slow.

I'm not a big pancake guy, but c'mon its a pancake house how can you not get the pancakes? We came here at an off time and were seated promptly. We ordered pancakes for both us and the wee ones. Buttermilk for me. Pecan for the Mrs. and Pumpkin for the kidlets. Sides of bacon and sausage are a - la carte (bacon was Fisher Farms). Our server was great and very kid friendly. She bustled about getting it all done but still had time to check on us. A welcoming attitude goes a long ways, and she had it. The buttermilk pancakes are really good. But, I'm not a pancake guy what do I know? I just wanted to taste the cakes and not all the folderol. They passed with flying colors. Everyone finished their food except my wife. Bacon and sausage were both quality items. You pay a bit more here than at other chain places, but the resulting food merits the cost. All in all a great place for a family breakfast - especially if you love pancakes.

Quality one notch above a Denny's or IHOP, but double the cost. At least the OJ is fresh squeezed, but it's $4 for 12oz glass

We got here early and were seated right away. Unfortunately, both the waitress and the food were pretty bad. First she brought my daughter a "kids" water with a lid but no straw because she said she wasn't sure if she was old enough to drink from a straw (so she just decided not to bring one at all and let us figure out how to drink from a covered plastic cup without a straw). On top of that, she argued with me about how eggs were "supposed to be cooked". I ordered over-medium, they came out over-easy (yolk flooded my plate) and she said that over-medium were still supposed to be runny (WHAT??). I ended up letting the manager know and she was very nice about the situation. She apologized and offered to credit our bill, which we had already paid. Then she offered to buy our meal the next time we came in but I said no thank you (because we are never going back). This kind of service wouldn't keep me from returning, but the food will. Corn beef hash was sweet and had way too much onion-- giving the same effect as White Castle aftermath. Both the multigrain pancakes and the sour dough pancakes were dense and not fluffy. Sour dough tasted like soap. And then there were the eggs, which were improperly cooked. The omelet was the only thing that was pretty good.

I had never even heard of this place before my (gluten-free-eating) wife and I went in search of a breakfast spot after a workout. It easily exceeded both of our expectations. Popular, crowded, tasty, inexpensive. In an odd spot in an oddly configured shopping center but now we know. One bit of advice -- full stack is a ton of food -- next time I would get the short. Many of the ingredients are apparently locally sourced which was another surprise. I find the negative reviews suspect. Minor gripes: The complimentary Boyd's coffee in the waiting area had run out. We were also surprised by a table wait time of 25minutes (sat at counter instead which was fine) so maybe call ahead. Our waitress was a bit ditzy but it was loud and she was busy so maybe that's why. Anyway--we recommend it.

No way this location compare favorably to the others in the metro area. The hash browns were tasteless, barely tan (forget about brown) and soggy. The server had less than zero personality. She practically threw my cup of tea on the table, dashed away and never checked back with me. The decor is cold and too bright. Glad their other locations are closer to me because I won't be back to this one.

Absolutely fantastic place to get a quick bite to eat. I was immediately seated and my drink order was promptly delivered. The server was helpful in making recommendations and when my excellent hot cakes arrived she brought some additional toppings, which brought the experience up a level. I will most certainly be back.

Four of us arrived at the restaruarnt at 10:50 and were told that the wait would be about an hour. Decided to do it since the food is suppose to be outstanding. Well after 30 minutes we asked about our wait... told 10-15 minutes, again in 15, etc. After about an hour and 10 minutes we were able to get an "audience" with the hostess. By the way, she was rude and once she discovered we were "walk-ins" treated us like scum. We asked why so many people that were walking in were seated ahead of us and we are still waiting. We were then informed of their call in policy which puts you on another list and that they are treated differently and are given priority. This is an unfair practice and the four of us were basically told that we are less important that those that call in. So if we would have stood in front of the hostess stand and CALLED THE NUMBER we would have had a table in 20-30 minutes. This is a horrible policy and I will never eat here. There are several breakfast places that serve wonderful breakfast food AND TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT and NOT DIVISON OF CLASS.

I'm SO excited to have an OPH in my neck of the woods. Not many things get me more excited than good breakfast fair, and this place has that in spades. I haven't had anything here that I haven't liked. You could literally just close your eyes and pick something at random and have it be delicious. It's like brekkie russian roulette, without the sadness and shame of losing. THERE ARE NO LOSERS WHEN IT COMES TO AWESOME BREAKFAST FOOD. Well, except maybe my waistline... But it's SOOO worth it. Um, btdubs. They make their own bacon. I don't know if you heard me there, but they lovingly and tenderly MAKE THEIR OWN BACON with magic and love. I'd try and convince even vegitarians to try it, its that worth it. So on my last trip there I was here with group of 7 ladies. You can call ahead for a pseudo reservation, which I totally recommend bc that place was JUMPIN'. But still be prepared to wait - made tolerable-ish by providing you with coffee (in the teeniest cups I've seen outside of a hobbit house, lol) in the waiting area. The one thing that peeves me about their seating system is that if ALL of your party isn't present they won't seat you. So you best make sure you're getting together with a prompt group of mamma jammas bc we about lost our place in line bc one gal was delayed. Really? C'mon, have a heart. I had the apple crepes, which is caramel-y-ish appley bits in sour cream stuffed (ie practically exploding) out some crepes. I'm a sucker for the apple + sour cream combo.... Another girl had an awesome looking fluffy omellette (sp?). OH and they have a fairly extensive glueten free menu, for all you who've jumped on that bandwagon. BUT what I was SUPER jealous of was the girl who had the german pancake. I had never heard of such witchcraft before, but I was immediately jealous when they brought that bad boy out. It's basically like a giant and amazing most wonderful popover that you never knew exsisted but now don't know how you've lived without. I need to go back here to devour one of these, which I will do post haste.

It's definitely an OPH location. The waits here are much more reasonable than the Edina location (usually 20-25 minutes instead of an hour) and the service is fast. They do seem to still be getting on their feet as the servers seem to get some of the order wrong. Last time I was there a friend ordered bacon pancakes with pecans added, and when they came it was just bacon pancakes. The food's great when it's correct, though.

Mmm, chocolate chip pancakes, I've missed you. I haven't been to an OPH since I left Madison some years back, so this place brings back a lot of great memories of brunch with my old college roommates. We went here for a late breakfast on a weekday, and were seated immediately. It's a bright and sunny space that's more modern than the no-frills OPH I remember from Madison. There was a fire going in the two-sided glass fireplace, blasting out a lot of warmth. Saw people with little kids (spring break?), elderly folk, some young people... it also seemed a little more diverse (read: I wasn't the only POC in the place) than some other places around Roseville. Our server took a few minutes to get to our table; but she was training a new server in. Once things got going though, she was attentive and nice, and our food arrived quickly. Husband got the corn beef hash with eggs and buttermilk pancakes, I got my old standby, the chocolate chip pancakes in their special chocolate batter. Just like I remember it - maybe even better. It had a gigantic portion of fresh whipped cream on it, which I (mostly) swept aside. The scrambled eggs I got on the side were fluffy and tasty. I liked that our maple syrup came in cute little metal pitchers, so you don't have to deal with a giant sticky bottle that's been passed form table to table. Our server also brought us ketchup and Tabasco without us asking for it. My black tea came on a little plate with a mug of steaming hot water, a silver pitcher of hot water, two packets of tea, two slices of lemon, and a little tub of honey. It was fun fixing my own tea at the table (I guess I don't order tea very much and I'm easily impressed. I felt European!). In college I would've ordered a side of hash browns to split with my roommate, but my metabolism just isn't what it used to be. Will have to try it next time... That, or the dutch baby (you know, like the one Linda insisted on having on Bob's Burgers!). We'll definitely be back, but probably not on a weekend. The food and service were really good, but I just hate waiting in line for my breakfast, and I bet this place is packed on the weekends, just like it was in Madison. Last note - the bathroom was nice and clean. I like that they have those fancy air dryers (not a Dyson, but still nice) and also paper towels in case you're a germ freak like me and hate touching the door to open it after you just washed your hands.

There are lots of awesome breakfast options. The decor is bright and the space is open which I love. Call ahead on the weekend to be placed on the wait list. It gets busy!

I have been a loyal Edina customer for years . I was so excited for the Roseville OPH to open . I have eaten there every week since . Our service at first was slow , but her friendly smile and conversation more then made up for. I think thy all were nervous starting out . Which is to be expected opening a new restaurant . I have great experiences each time I have been here . I venture from my 49ers and bacon , to their Hash Brown with scrambled eggs! Added cheese , to die for !! Last Sunday there was a long wait, so they took my cell number to page me when our table was ready . It was so slick! We shopped until our table was ready! I had the Mediterranean Omelette with their Gluten free pancakes ! Amazing !! They have a separated grill for just gluten free!!! Only one in town !! I have had nothing but a 5 star experience every week, get to know them , it is well with the experience!

It's a decent breakfast/brunch place~ we arrived in around 10 on a Sunday morning and there was no wait *luckily*~ I had blueberry pancakes, banana french toast, and my boyfriend had hash brown & 2 eggs(made it scrambled egg) and buttermilk pancakes! I'd say there are lots of more options for breakfast and better places to have breakfast- this place is not the best breakfast place! But I would come back because I liked the vibe here and the service, and the food was not bad! To be honest, I like my breakfast better(I can make better food than here) but you know~ I'm too lazy to make breakfast everyday!

We love this place!!! Our 2nd time here and both times the food has been incredible. Our server "Danielle" was super friendly, personable and had a lot of attention to detail. I would recommend this diamond in the rough breakfast spectacular in a Minnesota minute! :-)

Awesome! Huge selection, I could barely pick what I wanted. I ended up with the blueberry pancakes, while my mother got hashbrowns, eggs, and a side of bacon. All delicious- bacon was thick cut and perfectly cooked. Hashbrowns could have been slightly crispier, but still good. Pancakes were phenomenol. The atmosphere was really nice, my only complaint was that the service was fairly slow when they were not that busy. Other than that, great breakfast find- especially for the suburbs.

Top quality food with good portion sizes. comfortable seating. This location is bigger and more open than the others. They have lots of benches for sitting if there is a wait. Get there early to avoid the crowds.

Okay, I have dined at this restaurant a few times and I can say it is hit or miss. I ordered the Apple French Toast with Caramel both times. The first time was amazingly good, but the second time was not so good. Pros: Beautiful decor and clean Good location The food CAN be very good. There are outlets for phone chargers or laptops at some tables. Cons: Can be super busy, so longer wait time. Food can be vary per visit. A little more expensive than typical diner. Overall, food is okay and atmosphere is nice. I would recommend for anyone to check out. However, I am not in a hurry to go back, but maybe in the future.

I have eaten here 4 times. The food is pretty good. However 3 of the 4 times the wait staff have been horrible - defensive, condescending, abrupt and more. I'm very supportive of wait staff and tip the going rate. I did this time too, but they did not deserve it. Next time I go ( and I go because of the gluten free options) I will refuse to be seated in the sections of the two staff that have served me in the past.

Well worth the wait. The pancakes were amazing. Call ahead and get your name on the list to shorten the wait.

Made the unfortunate mistake of coming here on a Sunday morning. There was a wait, which I expected but the wait staff was horrible. The worst part about our dining experience wasn't the fact that it took forever for someone to acknowledge us and take our orders, but once we got our pancakes we had no syrup! It was a good 10 minutes before our server came back and realized the mistake. Will not attempt to come back again.

We have been to other Original Pancake houses and they are amazing. The Roseville location has some of the worst service I have ever seen. Time and time again, we come assuming service has gotten better but it hasn't. The hostess was down right rude and wanted to argue, food took over 35 minutes and waitress just denied it instead of just apologizing. Very disappointing but we will just drive 25 minutes to receive service we can appreciate. We should have just left right away.

The first time I went here was about a month ago and have been back three times since. Their eggs benedict is absolutely incredible! I mean, it is unbelievable. If I could eat breakfast there everyday, I would do so without hesitation. Their staff is a bit slow but their quality of food makes up for it!

Went here and the service and food were great. My omelette practically disappeared immediately. Will be returning.
