The only things keeping this from being less than 2 stars is the salad bar which borders on adequate, and the fact that Yelp doesn't allow half-stars. The food is institutional, bland, and generally edible. They don't believe in using a bunch of crazy spices like salt and pepper. The store is relatively clean, except for the men's restroom. But the ambiance is really bad with screaming, uncontrolled children and diners who think they are in their own home, spilling, yelling, and generally behaving like their uncontrolled children. The staff does their best, but it's not enough to make me want to eat there more than one or two times a year, if that.

I love this place....when I want a weird Meatloaf fix or I just want to gorge out at a discount price. Normally, I joke about this place BUT I love the breakfasts on Sunday morning. Their Corned Beef Hash is great and the ham just juicy. My girlfriend and I try to get there for breakfast once or twice a month. Definitely a good place to people watch too.

Friend asked me to take him here . . . very well WoW - a full remodel of product / quality from last time I was here. And for the good . . . even though the price went up the quality also followed. Many times they do not go that way. This was far better than the product they put out only 3 years ago. Salad Bar : not much - but - many ignore the salad bar ( it does exist, but not as extensive as it could be - need more healthier consumers I would guess ) Soup(s) : I think there were three the night I went - I did try two - both fairly good Meat : carving station had turkey, ham, sausage . . . the turkey was good BTW Many seafood options the night I was there . . . cute little ' chef ' dishes where good selections Typical and expected many selections of spuds, corn, gravey . . . etc Deserts more on the individual sampler size - nice to try a couple vice big slices of pie / cake I would come back to here again - I liked the improvements they have done in trying to bring the quality back up

We came here to grab a late dinner as we were hungry and couldn't dine in cause we had our dog with us. We ordered takeout and they gave us boxes to fill up. The food looked fresh and there was a lot to choose from, including a taco bar, salad bar, roast beef selection. There was a guy checking to make sure to let someone know when something was running low. Overall, I had a good experience here and would come back next time I'm in Minnesota.

I'll admit, I love buffets. I also can tolerate a fair amount of poor quality when I go to them, because they've never been the height of culinary excellence and have little to live up to. The food is pretty typical. Lunch didn't have the roast beef or turkey, but lots of chicken. Mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, corn bread stuffing, pizza, etc.. Typical OCB fare. They seem to be trying less common items, which they are serving in small faux-fancy dishes. They also had chicken pot pie, which I've never seen at an OCB before. Salad bar looked pretty good, but I didn't try anything from it. I spotted a heater well on the salad bar, labeled "Bacon Onion Dressing", so who knows what that is but now you know where to find it. The desserts definitely have gotten a make over, and I don't see anything wrong with them. Warm fudge cake, chocolate pudding, everything else.. Ice cream, the works. It all looked really good. The drinks are not included in your price, but you buy them at the front. They have one of those futuristic Coke machines with every flavor combination imaginable. 2 Stars because the entire establishment smelled like Urine. We walked around looking for a spot that didn't smell like pee, but settled on a spot near a vent which didn't do much for the smell. Everything at OCB seems to have a thin coating of "sticky" all over it, and this location is no exception. Still, what do you expect?

Food hasn't changed since the remodeling. You can do so much better cooking at home, eat healthier, and save all that cash. Better off going to chipotle or noodles for the same price. Your stomach will thank you for it.

Me and my girlfriend wanted to try something we haven't tried in awhile. We haven't been to this location so we chose it. The place was dirty. We had to wait awhile for a staff member to ring us up. I sat down in a booth and when I got up I had something sticky on my shirt. Now for the food review. Everything my gf had on her plate was either cold or old or both. The pizza looked like it was 5 hours old. The rolls were hard as rocks. The fish had a weird after taste to it. There were a few pros to this place: the cashier was awesome and the manager gave us a full refund. As we left my gf had a sour stomach after we left. My stomach had a sharp pain in it and we both felt nauseous. We will never go there again. To others who want to go there stay away.

Hot food was cold..cold food warm.whole place smells awful...everything tastes fake..ie..the same. Expensive for quality..for 4$ less go across the street to chipotle!!! Truly awful..wasn't expecting fine dining..but it was truly awful even as cheap buffets go...ICK!!!!!!

We've been here about 4 times and every time it's dirty. They dishes are dirty, the floors are dirty, and the bathrooms are too! The food is mediocre for being a buffet. If you go when it's slow the food has been sitting there for a while. Last time we went they didn't have any meat that was advertised. The manager is rude. The short white balding guy. Not just rude to customers, but his staff as well! There was hair in the dessert fridge as well. Also for the pigs that don't wash their hands before touching any of the food why don't you have hand sanitizer close to the area asking people to please use!

Old country buffet is where you go when you feel bad. You always eat too much. The day after, you will most certainly spend a significant amount of time on the toilet. That being said. I generally like OCB. The food has improved over the years, although it has gotten super expensive.

I used to go to this OCB more before the "makeover." With that being said, it is the same disappointing experience...for the most part, the new food is worse. And who had the great idea of putting them in the new type of serving containers where the food now stays consistently dry? I like the salad, meat and desserts. Used to love the old Mac and cheese...not any more! Most things are consistently empty at peak times...not to mention the ice cream station is usually messy. The dinner price is too high...drinks should be included. The Italian food station is usually overdone and been sitting too long. The workers are nice but the management looks clueless....

My dad was celebrating his 69th birthday and he and my mom and sister drove up from Rochester and his choice was Old Country Buffet. We entered the establishment and he took care of the bill, which was super cool, but for $11 including a soda, not too bad for a Saturday lunch. They had Caffeine Free Diet Coke, so I got my wife some of that and I got my 1 of 5 Diet Cokes. I found some steamed broccoli and some Caesar salad, which was pretty good, and the broccoli was steamed perfectly. I added a touch of cheesy sauce to it as well. I put two pieces of baked fish on the plate, the only really disappointing part of the meal. They were the last two pieces, so I think I should have waited for a new batch because these were pretty dry. I should have taken advantage of the spice bar in the middle of the restaurant, which I didn't notice until the end of the meal. It had a ton of condiments waiting to be utilized. The best part of the meal was a made to order Mongolian stir fry station. I ordered shrimp with veggies, no added carbs, but you can get rice or noodles added. The lady mixed it up in about 3 minutes and she offered a spring roll, which I didn't accept, but she was super cool and you could tell she took pride in her job. The plate of shellfish and veggies were adorned with a big squirt of. Wait for it....Rooster Sauce! Yes, they had a big bottle of rooster sauce sitting there. Yummy! I went back for another little salad, but if I wanted to eat horribly, it was available. Fried everything, fries, fish, just about anything you could think of. Pizza, taco bars, ice cream. The clientele was a little different too. There were some 500 pounders in there. Families with kids with thousand calorie plates. Kids sucking down cups full of Hi-C. It didn't help the stereotype of Americans. My wife got some frozen yogurt to finish her meal of a salad, which looked really solid. She even went back for seconds on the frozen yogurt. The stir fry station was a real hit in my eyes, and for a buffet, it wasn't that bad! Plus, I got to see most of the family, which is always a plus when we can get most of the 7 of us together in one place. Always a good time.

Most of the food was barely warm; some of the trays were empty. Pretty typical. Thought it was over priced for the grade of food; we won't be going back.

well this is the first time I eat there since the new CEO I had lunch there food was just As bad if not worse than it was before not much better than room temperature they had breaded and not breaded chicken both had way to much salt had to peal off the breading and the skin off both chickens to eat it every thing else I tried was nasty when it came time for disert the chocolate and other ice cream didn't work when I told a staff member they said it was broken you think they would of put up a note or something so I would not of waisted my time. if I can help it I will not eat there again and if I here someone say that they are going there I will let them know how bad the food still is.
