Hong Kong has great food. Plus they deliver. Having good Chinese food brought to my door is the bomb. Love it. Really nice delivery dude too.

Was in the mood for Chinese food decided to go to my favorite spot for beef fried rice. After going to the counter to place my order noticed a booth that had food on it. There were several bugs on the table and on the plate. After informing the guy at the counter that there were numerous bugs on the table, the floor and the plate, he looked at me and said he was to tired to pick up the plate of food. I asked for my money back he slammed my money on the counter. I know it was the 10 min to closing time, but who wants to order food from a place that has bugs. Needless to say I have a new place.

Typical Americanized Chinese fare but it rates an extra star as it's great value for the money. The food is pretty much what you'd expect, though the crab rangoon and fried rice are definitely above average. Less than $5 will get you a lunch combo that's more than enough to fill anyone up. Definitely take-out oriented, there are only 4 booths and there's not much in the way of atmosphere.

I'd say as good as Chinese Food takeout gets. I come from the NYC area and this place would hold its own with the best of them. Food is tasty and there are no suprises! I always look forward to a lunch from this place!

I just moved to this city so i found this place on yelp on a rainy afternoon. We ordered the typical American favorites (Orange chicken, wonton soup, crab rangoons, chicken fried rice) so we would have an idea of the restaurants quality and everything was cooked pretty well. They also say they don't use M.S.G in their food which is a big plus for me. I would say their food is 3 star quality but I'll give them another star for having such reasonable prices. This place isn't the greatest Chinese food around but the is more then worth it for the price you pay. Give it a shot!

This used to be my go-to place for Chinese. I have ordered from this little shop for the better part of three years. Within those years I have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. The delivery person is nice, portions large and the service is quick, but quality has declined. I have moved on to a different restaurant.

Excellent take-out place for Chinese food. I usually order shrimp fried rice, beef hofoon(wide rice soft noodles), and rice stick dishes. Their veggies are great. Oh, my husband and I like their pan fried dumplings. Their prices are GREAT, portions are HUGE. Both the husband (cook) and the wife (front desk) are friendly.

Got lunch here with co-workers today and it was about what I expected. Decent Americanized chinese, great portions, & cheap price. As is my wont when ordering from a chinese place I've never gotten from, I ordered the Almond Bonless Chicken combo ($4.70 + tax). It was served piping hot (a really good plus when getting carry-out) and the taste was solid. All white meat chicke with a good eggroll and a ridiculous amount of fried rice, Plenty for me to split into two meals (a great value) but nothing to knock your socks off. But a good, cheap, reccommended for lunch type place.

Not Bad, Could be better. Decent Chinese food but it has it flaws. I recently ordered a sesame chicken lunch special (which was huge) from here and for starters, the egg roll is excellent, the sesame chicken is greasy but also pretty good (made it white meat for $2 more). Now the negatives, the fried rice is nothing but white rice with vegetables which makes it horrible. The second negative was the fact that i did order delivery for this and it took over an hour. Take out is the way to go with this place and if you want fried rice, go somewhere else.

A good, no-frills place to pick up American Chinese food. The other reviews are right about the amount of food you get -- my husband and I can split one dinner combination between us. Although that means no leftovers. Some of the flavors are a little different though, than your standard American Chinese. The sesame chicken had a bit of a tomato and fish-sauce tang to it, very similar to Thai or Malyasian flavors. But it sure was good, filling and cheap. They also do some rib combos that are tasty, if just a little chewy. The restaurant itself, sandwiched into a strip mall, is a bit bare bones. For instance, they have big boxes of sauce packets sitting out so you can grab some if you want. The emphasis is on efficiency, not ambiance. It's run by a very nice family, who surprised me with a souvenir Chinese scroll when I went to pick up an order around Christmas. Can't get any better than delicious take-out AND a cute little tchotke.

I went here the other day on a whim and I have to say I'm actually rather impressed. There were a lot of choices on the menu and all of it was reasonably priced. Their lunch specials are $4.55 each and can easily be turned into two meals (you also get the choice between an egg roll or soup). Also, the food was ready in about 10 minutes after I walked in.

We received a menu in the door a couple of weeks ago and decided to try them out. Awesome food, hot and lots of it. Ordered again tonight and second time was just as good as the first. The delivery is extremely quick and the food hot when it arrived! We have not dined in but the restaurant is close to the Walmart on Ellsworth. So far Hong Kong has the best Chinese food we have had in the Ann Arbor area.

they over compensate for poor quality with huge portions, the chicken was super knuckley and i spit most of the pieces out before i gave up and stuck to the rice. the egg roll and crab rangoon were average to good though.

Very good food. Big portions. Delivery on a Friday night took almost an hour but the food was hot when delivered. Would definitely order from this restaurant again.

My husband and I are both Chinese born and raised in China and Taiwan, respectively. He is also an excellent cook with traditional Chinese dishes. Therefore, we try very hard to avoid Chinese restaurants because almost all of them are way too Americanized and greasy for us. However, unfortunately, every once in a while we do have craving for greasy Chinese take-outs. Today happened to be such a day and the restaurant just so happened to leave a copy of the menu in front of our apartment. So, we ordered two dinner specials on the phone and went over to pick it up. The place is not really suitable for dine-in because they have very limited seating. And the seats are more for people waiting to pick up their food than for them to sit down and eat. Each dinner special came with an egg roll, HUGE pile of meat, and another even bigger pile of fried rice, all for $7 each. For greasy Chinese food, this might be the best you're going to get. There are actually real orange peels in my orange chicken. There is a generous amount Cantonese BBQ pork in the fried rice too. No, this is not the best Chinese food but do I recommend this place? Let's just say we have kept the menu and posted on the fridge...

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
