my first impressions, based on a carry-out order: the burger is great. i see others complaining that they press the burgers thin, but that's a thing. burgers are like pizza - there are many different styles and everyone has their likes and dislikes. i love a thick medium-rare burger, but i also like this smashed style (although i wished mine had crispier edges). i got a double garlic burger and fries. be warned: the garlic sauce is just straight-up garlic puree cut w mayo - it's very strong! overall, a pretty delicious burger. i also appreciated the choice of 3 different buns. the fries are not great. i might have attributed this to the fact that i got carry-out, which tends to make for soggy fries, but the walk to my house was only 5 minutes. after reading the other fry complaints here, and something about the wrong fryers, i'm guessing that they just serve soggy fries. i might try some again when i can dine-in, or ask them about the fryer situation. the service was very friendly, enthusiastic, and confident! these folks are very proud of their product and they sell it. i'm really happy to have them in the neighborhood and i'm glad to see them doing well - i'll definitely be back to explore the menu, although i might pass on the fries.

Great "old-fashioned burger and fries" place my friend Chris said as she gave me an XMAS coupon for supper here. Friendly. Spartan. Convenient if you're walking around Depot Town/Campus area. Or if you're driving around on a sub-zero night and need a burger to fortify. Great menu choices. Even a BellaBurger for whineyveggie folk. Very fresh tasting burger with killer onions, mushrooms, crunchy lettuce, top secret sauces, and nearly died from the delicious HUGE portion of chili-cheese fries and sampling my friend's sweet potato fries (best I've had ANYwhere). This would've been just blocks from my old house. It won't stop me though, I will drive into town for this again and again. It goes where FIVE GUYS might have tried to go if maxprofit wasn't their God. And bittersweetly, as Ann Arbor goes completely chain-restaurant corporate hell-hole and Blimpy Burger dies, new home-town deliciosity burgeons in Ypsilanti. Until you've GOTBURGERed, you are missing out in the worst way.

Love these guys. Well seasoned burgers, juicy without being greasy. Clever flavor combos. Garlic lovers, go for the garlic burger. The meat is extremely fresh, owner says they grind their beef in house. The real stand out though is the staff. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this place. Service with a smile doesn't begin to cover it, they are genuinely happy to see you and make you feel at home. The food is solid. The people make it exceptional.

Love, love, love! I'm a burger girl and I hate fake fast food stuff, so I was so pleased when I got a awesome burger made with real meat cooked the way I like with real flavor and toppings galore to choose from. They got burgers, fries, and hot dogs, ans wings, what more can you ask for. And every topping and dipping sauce etc I can think of. A real MUST TRY! They deliver! In my case it's a plus!

i read some reviews that said this was the best burger joint in town, haha. Yeah, right. The fries we're soggy the burger was subpar. The delivery was great, the only reason for 3 stars, the order showed up 30 mins early. Love that.

First time here, seasoned fries were delicious. Homemade burger (not frozen) tasted fresh. Had fried egg, garlic purée and cheese... Definitely recommend that! Will return when in the mood for burgers, calm ambience, good price, convenient location.

I had been wanting to try this new burger place in Ypsi for quite some time. I even read the reviews before I went so I could try to make the best, most informed decision possible. I decided on the garlic lovers and I was SO excited to take my first bite... Honestly, though, it wasn't so good. I will admit, there was lots of garlic. But that is about all it had going for it. Besides garlic, the burger was pretty tasteless. I even got cheese, but it wasn't really melted on top, and the flavor just kind of disappeared. The bun was really dry, which made it hard to eat this burger. I will say the fries are better than they seem to have been at the beginning. And the staff is really friendly. I am hoping they are just trying to find their flow and this place will get better as they go along. Otherwise, sadly, I think this just IS NOT the place for me.

Since Burger King decided to leave the country, I've been looking for a place where I can get a reasonable priced chicken breast sandwich, fries and a Coke. I found it! I stopped in here and ordered their combo meal, which contained the aforementioned items. It took a little bit longer to get my order, but that's because they had to make it, rather than it already waiting for me. In essence, I got more for less than I used to at BK. The sandwich was fresher and better tasting. The fries were tastier and they give you beaucoup. The Coke was a Coke! Staff was friendly and as alluded to, the price very reasonable. The meal came out in one of those plastic with paper deals. The only negative thing I can say about the place if the pop container. Styrofoam. In spite of that, it was a fine experience.

Stopped by and ordered two burgers and a fry with the babe. The fries are homemade fresh cut and were kinda soggy when we arrived home, but I believe it was only because they are homemade. None the less I don't mind soft fries. The burger was good, not the best, but definitely really good. On a scale from 1-5, I would give it 4. The guy at the counter let us try the Cucumber Wasabi sauce and it was great! Not too hot either. Also, customer service was a 6 out of 5, very nice guys.

A friend and I wanted to check this place out before heading to the movies... with about 40 minutes before our showtime, we were excited for something new, plus they had an awesome special (free drink and fries for the grand opening). The wait alone was unbearable. It took 35-40 minutes on a semi busy night and there were several employees taking breaks. When we finally got our food, we received no apologies. I ordered the garlic burger combo, my friend ordered the Texas burger combo. My burger was damn near vegetation... seeing as there was hardly any meat to be found. While my friend enjoyed her majestically, meaty creation (minus the flexible bacon strips they put on it)...I swear that bacon could make the gymnastics team at Olympics! The fries weren't bad and we got free refills. And while they were quick to check on us, I couldn't help but keep my burger problems to myself (in fear that it would take another hour to get the replacement). The atmosphere wasn't bad, it has potential... Maybe we'll try this again once they have knocked the kinks out. In case you were wondering, we had to go to a later show because our orders came out at different times and my breath wreaked of raw garlic after. So, no to the garlic burger. #neveragain

It's all about the chili dogs- messy amazingness! The owner is always there and he knows what he is doing. Ordering online and picking it up is the way to go!

The burgers are really good, and the service is also excellent. However. The fries are terrible. The grease is not hot enough, so the fries are both soggy, and over cooked. Similarly, the bacon is never crispy. Ever. It's also very fatty (not a bad thing), which means that since it's not crisp, your teeth can't actually get through it, and then you've got wet, limp bacon slapping you in the chin on your first bite. If they'd step up their fry & bacon game, it'd be five stars for sure. I have loved every burger I've gotten, and continued to jam the last one I got into my mouth, even when it was burning my mouth with it's deliciousness. PLEASE FIX YOUR FRIES! I can live without the bacon, but I NEED fries.

Decent. I am being picky in the following review. It is not a bad place, it just was not working for us overall. I would eat there again, I would choose carefully what I ordered though. My husband would skip the place altogether. You will read why. I loved the garlic lovers burger, my husband was less impressed with his creation. Given that his burger was plain (no sauce), it offered a clear taste of unvarnished truth. I was less impressed with his burger too. Garlic apparently clouds my judgment of a burger. It was skimpy on the cheese when he clearly asked for extra. Both our burgers were pretty much cooked through. That is a downside for many people I know. We both were meh on the soggy fries. We like em crispy. I figure most people do. Not really much more to say than that. I would not order them again. Service was uber friendly. I really wanted to like them. They are hallal for the record and that is good for many people. I just was a little disappointed overall. Hopefully it is just a bit of growing pains. I wish them well.

This place just recently opened up at the original Domino's Pizza location on Cross Street between Depot Town and Ugly Mug. This review is for their first day soft opening. Solid burger. Nothing super fancy but I think they will improve quickly as they get a bit more experience under their belts. Very reasonably priced for what it is. Since they don't have an online menu, I'll say that most single burgers run $4.99-$5.99 so it's a good deal. Lots of free toppings, unique sauces, and bun options. For small charges they have different cheese options, guac, bacon, fried egg, and chili. They also have different types of sauces and rubs for their fries. Hot dogs and wings are also available. I tried the Firehouse burger (pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, and jalapeno ranch sauce for $4.99) and added grilled onions and mushrooms for free. The burger was very tasty...I'd lean towards a 4/5 on the burger alone. The fries were a little too soft for me (got them with cajun seasoning which was good). I like my fries crispy and perhaps they will be willing to do that if you ask in advance. Overall, I am impressed. Again, I get the feeling that as their experience builds, this will be a solid 4 out of 5 place.

I read some of the earlier reviews, and I must say it appears they've fixed their issues. Our burgers were HUGE. I'm so glad I ordered a single instead of a double. I'm fairly sure I had at least a quarter-pound of meat, if not a half-pound. Also, the fries weren't soggy, nor were they too crispy. They were delicious, and I could taste bits of potato skin on some of them. We got a pretty big helping; most people could probably share an order of fries. You won't need two unless you're really hungry (or LOVE french fries). The staff was really friendly. It was our first time there, and they explained a few things on the menu while helping us make a decision.

After having a few different meals here I have to say this place is a solid 4 stars. The orders are always fast and accurate, and even though I feel like I see a lot of different staff the food is consistent. Best choices so far have been the double burger, the chili dog, and the seasoned fries. The only issue that comes up for me is that the fries are never crispy. Otherwise this place is great for a quick bite. The ingredients are always crisp and fresh, and the meat has a clean, lean flavor. Also, they always seem to be open no matter how bad the weather.

Burger was great even if it was pressed too thin for my liking. The chipotle sauce on the burger was what out it over the top. Plenty of food in the combo. Fries were good if a little on the soggy side. I am looking for things to nitpick here overall very good. I will definitely be back and brining others with me. The reason was the service! They were very nice, funny and made sure I was taken care of. Even asking me if I needed refills.

5 stars for the garlic sauce, the bread and all the fixins. 5 stars for the price - its reasonable for the good quality of the food. 5 stars for the friendliness of the employees. 2 stars for the actual burger- I'm pretty sure mine was closer to 3 ounces - It was seriously small. But I did like the fact that it is lean meat and therefore much healthier. And I'm pretty dam sure I saved a few more calories based on the size of the burger.

Excellent burger. Damn near organic! Fresh ground beef, not frozen. Fresh fries not frozen. Great taste, great portions. Very underrated burger place in Ypsilanti. Will be my Friday lunch spot from now on!!

I live 2 blocks from this restaurant and have been waiting for them to open. Worth the wait! I ordered the Texas Burger (Cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, and bbq sauce) and Home fries. Total was $8.45. The burger was juicy and fresh. the Kaiser roll was very good as were the fries. I didn't care for the BBQ sauce, but that was a personal taste preference. I would have liked the bacon to have been cooked a bit more to be crispy, but overall, a very good burger for the price and I love that it is walking distance from my house. I look forward to trying more topping combinations! Oh...FYI...they only accept cash at this point:)

Meh, it's a burger joint. Better than McDonald's...comparable to 5 guys but with a few different options. As stated in the previous review "the bun was dry"...I agree but then again it wasn't nasty greasy.

There's really nothing that's interesting about their burgers.... It's your average hamburger meat that you can find at kroger it almost seems as is. Then their homemade fries taste horrible. Another thing is they don't have a bathroom so if you're eating in you're kinda out of luck on that!

NIce location, ample parking close to Depot town. I had the Garlic burgur which did not live up to it's discription, but was good. I will give it another try before I make my final decision the prices are very reasonable for being a 'gourmet burger' place

Just about the worst food I have ever had the misfortune of ordering. I live less than a mile from the establishment and thought I would try something new as their menu seemed very promising. I decided to order delivery and it took well over an hour for the food to arrive, when it did the food was a mushy slop of bread and condiments accompanied by moist flaccid fries and watery flat soda. This business charges upwards of $6 a burger at the time of writing and for a premium price I expect a premium product! I was terribly let down by what I ended up getting. here are some photos of what I received: imgur.com/a/kyJLL Update: I just got off the phone with the restaurant and they refunded my order, they were very pleasant about the whole thing and apologetic about the food.

Definitely the best burger in Ypsilanti, you'll get more than you want of the surprisingly delicious fries, lots of free toppings, and a big tasty burger that is cooked just well to make your tongue cry for a bigger bite. Don't miss it .

I live close by, so the walk is not too bad. I would walk a mile to get one of those delicous burgers. The toppings are endless and very creative. The garlic puree is a must try on your first visit. Same style of food as five guys, but better prices and selection of toppings. A great place to hit on your ypsi food tour

The service is REALLY friendly at this little burger joint and very nice on the inside. Really welcomes customers with open arms. Now, being that is has only been open a few weeks I'll try to be nice. I ordered the Portabella Bliss which if it wasn't so greasey would have been very good as well as the sweet pototoe frys (makes your fingers shiney). Hopefully this is just finding the right cook to make a good menu shine a little better. Very happy to have this place and hopefully it grows into a even better stop.

Really good food and people! Their a but new and could use a few more hands to speed things up. But the garlic burger is very good! The sauce is strong so if you can get it on the side!

The quality and freshness of the food is what will keep me coming back. I love the hot dogs, and they do a great job grilling the onions and mushrooms I like as toppings. My fiance really enjoyed the burger with the fried egg on it as well. The employees are super friendly, both in person and on the phone. However, the business has a couple areas that need improvement. Of the three times I have called to place a delivery order, each time on the first attempted call no one has answered. I have always had to wait 10 to 15 minutes and call a second or third time before someone answers the phone. I understand they may be busy, but it really should not be that difficult to pick up the call and put me on hold for a few minutes. The other thing that needs improvement is the communication between the person taking the order and the cook. My orders have been messed up twice (once in store and once over the phone). Both times, the person taking down my order repeated it back to me correctly. However when I received my food, either items were missing or toppings on the burger/hot dog were incorrect.
