I was insistent on having Cottage Inn (my husband was reluctant) but I volunteered to pay. He went online to look at the menu and we saw that you can order online. How convenient! We placed our order at 8:21pm and received a confirmation email saying it'd be delivered by 9pm. 9:30pm rolls around and we give them a call asking where are food was. "Oh, our Comcast was down, we never received your order." ...but my credit card was charged and we received a confirmation email? So we reordered but half way through our ordering, we were told they were out of chocolate to make their chocolate innstix. Now I'm just irritated. They said they'd refund the price of the bread that I paid for and our order would be delivered ASAP. By 10:30pm we STILL had NO food, so I called back again and she said "oh, he's on the road, he'll be there any minute." FINALLY we received our food at 10:45, almost two and a half hours later. The driver was polite and apologetic. I understand sometimes things happen but every time I've ordered online (like with Jimmy Johns for example) if their internet is down or the location is closed, it will tell me or won't let me order...and definitely won't send a confirmation email saying my order was received and paid for. Maybe it's a system flaw, allowing you to order food they're out of or food that you pay for and are never going to get...No one but the driver apologized or tried to make the situation less crummy. I've had orders from this location before and usually it's 3-4 stars (given the food is great, we are just usually missing things from our order) but after last night, waiting for that long when I could've had Jets (what my husband wanted) hours before- I highly doubt I'll order from here again!

While visiting my mom we decided to order an old favorite ... Sicilian deep dish from Cottage Inn. Sorry to say we found the pizza greasy and the crust tasteless.

After being a fan of the Cottage Inn locations in Ann Arbor, when I moved a bit farther out of town I wanted to see if there was another location close to me. Thankfully there's the little Holmes Rd. location - situated perfectly to serve the Ypsi neck of the woods anywhere east of Prospect and north of 94 - and their pizza is up to snuff with the other locations. Like some of the other Cottage Inns I've seen this is simply a take-out and delivery location, so there's no room to eat here. They usually run pretty good specials - 1 topping mediums are usually really affordable, making for a quick, go-to dinner during finals week. I've never used their delivery because I'm so close, so I can't vouch for the quality of that, but my pizzas are always steaming hot and ready right as I'm pulling in to the drive-thru to pick it up. Yes, I said drive-thru. For pizza. The single best thing to happen to disgustingly fatty food since the free hot samples at Krispy Kreme. The staff is prompt an courteous, and I haven't ever had an order messed up or screwed around with. There's nothing gourmet about it, but for what it is, Cottage Inn provides classic, affordable, and delicious pizza, and I'll happily be coming here until I end up moving again.

If you look at my profile, you'll see that I rarely give one- or two-star reviews because I believe that "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." But I've been ordering from this store for years and I'm just really disgruntled about the lack of accuracy when filling orders at this store. I'd say that about 50 percent of the time, there is something wrong with my order. I've had toppings missing, oil added when I asked for no oil, salad ingredients missing (repeatedly) and have been mis-charged even after specifically asking for the special two times. I have complained directly to this store by email and by phone. I complained on the Facebook page and their PR rep said they'd give the store a talking to. The next order was fine, but they were back to their old sloppy ways a few months later. The ONLY reason I keep ordering from here is that my part of Ypsilanti Township is only served by a handful - maybe 5-6 at most - pizza places, and Cottage Inn has the best quality ingredients. But I am done ordering their cranberry walnut salad because they never remember to put the blue cheese on it, which is the whole reason I order it. The staff have been very polite and the drivers are actually pretty great. But, unless you're ok with your delivery orders being inaccurate at least 50 percent of the time, try to find another place for delivery!

I don't care how highbrow you think you are; you are one pepperoni roll away from eating at a gas station much more often than you'd have ever imagined. Seriously, they are highly addictive. I can rarely make it to my friend's house without being prompted to stop here along the way.
