I would generally agree with the other peoples reviews that the place could be cleaner. I have been in there several times where you couldn't find a clean table, the food however was good.

For food alone I would give 4 stars. But now after three visits this place lacks cleanliness. From normal table and floor cleanings throughout the day to getting down and cleaning under counters, pop machines and the like, it is a bit scary. Staff has always been friendly and the line has been a bit slow most times also I find them to be a bit pricey for a cafeteria style Mexican restaurant. I eat cheaper being waited on at many other spots

They gave me a burrito bowl without a burrito shell! I'm sure everyone knows how awkward it is to ask for a timely modification when there are customers waiting. Especially for a young lady like myself. My ingredients were cold because they didn't heat it up and service was slow.

Terrible x infinity! My burrito bowl was watery and flavorless. I didn't even eat half of it. Not enough chicken, I was digging through my bowl with my spoon like a cave woman looking for meat. I'll be sticking to Chilpolte.

Once we cleaned off our own table, because there weren't any clean, we ate quickly and left. Never to return. At the drink station (which is pretty cool) it appeared that someone had decided to run their hands over the remaining 4 soda lids and then put them back. I gave 2 stars because the food is pretty tasty. However, I have to question the cleanliness of my food due to the lack of cleanliness of the restaurant itself. Gross is the only way to explain it.

I really, really, really hate to give one star, but I have to. This location has the friendliest employees for miles. Seriously, the service is excellent. The reason for the one star is the food. While it tastes good, every single time I get food from there, a few hours later, I feel like I'm going to die. I didn't eat here a ton, so the first few times I just thought it was coincidence. Then, I started to frequent this location more and more. It's right next to Starbucks, so it's very convenient. I stupidly suffered through 3 more attacks, just because I couldn't believe it was Qdoba. But looking back, it clearly was. This weekend was the worst bout yet, 2 hours after I had the steak nachos. So, I've learned my lesson. No more Qdoba for me. Which makes me sad. But not as sad as being really sick.

I've been to this Qdoba a few times and overall it has been a great place to grab a bite. A few times I've had mediocre service and been charged for add-ons without my knowledge. But 9 out of 10 times the service is VERY friendly with a clean kitchen and fresh food. I recommend this Qdoba.

My parents are getting addicted, so we returned here for dinner last night. We arrived a little after 6pm and there was a line, but it moved quickly. The staff still talks too fast and seem disappointed when I tell them I don't want anything on my chips and cheese... that's why I'm ordering chips and cheese. pico is always runny so it makes my quesadilla soggy. nothing special, but the staff were very kind.

    Very clean and nice staff

I like this chain, but this location sucks. The chicken is overcooked and dry, they're stingy with the "fajita peppers" and the staff is, well, dumb. One of the girls was confused by my answer of "both" when she asked if I wanted Pinto or black beans.

As another review mentioned, Qdoba is a chain restaurant, so don't expect to be amazed here. This particular Qdoba was fine, it was clean, the food was fresh, and service was fast. I try to avoid fast food at all costs. I haven't eaten at taco bell or mcdonalds since I was a child. But, when you need to eat quickly, sometimes eating at a locally owned sit down restaurant just isn't an option. I consider Qdoba to an "ok" option in those situations. I mean, a girl can only eat at subway or jimmy johns so many times. This place is very vegetarian friendly, unlike other fast food places, which I find to be a huge plus. Since the burritos are built to order, you can do a pretty good job of getting exactly what you want. Unless you douse your food in guacamole, cheese, and sour cream, you can eat there without immediately increasing your risk of a heart attack...pretty much all I'm looking for in a "fast food" restaurant.

As I was approaching the entrance to Qdoba in Westland on my first ever visit, I saw a very tall, broad-shouldered Austrian man in black sunglasses and a leather jacket walking out. "Come with me if you want to live," is what he said to me. If only I had listened. The thing about Qdoba is that there's no reason to go there. Although it's priced and marketed as being a step above Taco Bell, it's actually worse - in both taste and quality. Now that's some feat! The tacos are literally cafeteria-level. They will give you fullblown flashbacks to middle school lunch food. The burritos are a bit better, but even then they just fall under the "jam-packed with rice and beans to gorge yourself" label, their ample size solely meant to distract you from the fact that it didn't taste that great. There are so many other choices for quick Mexican in the area. Granted, there isn't really a Chipotle near Livonia or Westland, but you've still got Taco Del Mar. Hell, like I said, even Taco Bell tastes better than this. The next time you're driving around with a hankering for a burrito the size of a baby's arm and you pass by Qdoba, feeling your constitution starting to weaken...don't fall prey like I did. Listen to the friendly neighborhood cyborg from the future and go somewhere else. Your wallet, taste buds, and intestinal tract will all form a choir just to sing your praises.

Qdoba is the step between Taco Bell and other, better quality, chain Mexican food places (like Chipotle, Baja Fresh, or La Salsa). It's clearly better quality than Taco Bell, but it isn't as good as the others I've named and is easily as expensive. The one thing this place has that's better than some of those is an actual veggie burrito with veggies (and not just grilled onions and green peppers) and they saute the veggies to order. If that matters to you, and you're alone, maybe Qdoba is a good choice. But their other food is definitely a step down. The meat and salsa lack flavor (or even heat!) and there's just nothing exciting about the place. The tortillas on the burritos are gummy and weird and the chips seem stale everytime, which I guess is just how they serve them. This particular location was less friendly than the one I visited on the west side of the state. My (probably final) conclusion about Qdoba as a chain is that, unless you want a veggie burrito, you're better off looking for a non-chain place, going to a Chipotle or La Salsa, or denying your Mexican food craving until you're near one of those places.

My craving for some really good mexican food has yet to be fufilled. This place sucks. Watery sour cream, over priced. I stay right around the corner,I went to get a pop,got home, tacos were cold as if they came right from the fridge. I should've just went to taco bell.

Love this location..I wish there was one downriver but I love the food here..especially the Mango salsa chicken salad..but alas it is a seasonal item. But the Burritos are large and filling.

Qdoba is a chain restaurant specializing in Mexican-ish food - tacos and burritos the size of a major organ. This particular location was clean, new, and the staff were pretty friendly. I had a chicken burrito that was good, the tortilla soup was also decent.

Why on earth would you go here when you could go to Chipotle, Baja Fresh, or Taco Bell for that matter? The food is oversalted and not good. I got something here with melted cheese, and was promptly very, very sick! Beware!

I don't know why people waste their time here! I have ate at two different locations and the food is just bad. My children will not even eat it and the school gave them free food coupons for it. The food has zero flavor, the prices are more than they should be,(near $50 for a family of five). and there are much better restaurants with the same set-up. Moe's is probably my favorite, but. alas, none are nearby. One must drive to Ann Arbor or Southgate to sample their menu. BOTTOM LINE: Don't waste your time.....

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
