I always come for the chicken tortilla soup. Hot, cheesy and almost too much spiciness, but you cant stop eating it. I also had an Ermas burger and it wasnt too bad. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. Meat was cooked to my liking. Fries weren't crispy... probably sat out for a while. My mom had the mojito which she absolutely loved! Wait staff was friendly and checked on us often. Besides their tortilla soup, I also like their fresh baked cookies. This time they had oatmeal cookies with maple drizzle. Delicious! I just might go back for more of those cookies.

Clean outside seemed dark inside the dining area. We were quickly sat by hostess and greeted soon after by server. Not much of a salesperson but could answer questions when asked. Free refills on soda must stop at one because our glasses were not refilled even the water glasses. I had the " tony bodacious burger " which had some interesting flavors. The other meal at the table was the chicken quesadilla. The order was large and half went home for later on. I also had the French onion soup which I thoroughly enjoyed. Not overly salty good flavor and could have used a bit more heat. The macadamia not cookies were very tasty.

I was going to get 3 stars because they do have a lot to choose from. But the burger was so bad that it has to get 2. The service was really good. The atmosphere was pretty. The burger is definitely one of the worst burgers I've ever had. I felt that weird feeling that you get after eating McDonalds because of all the chemicals. Go to this place, but do not get the burger.

I normally have good experiences with Max & Erma's, however, I will NEVER return to this location. Came in for lunch with 6 people and it took an hour to get our food! There was I believe at the time, 3 other tables in the restaurant? No apologies from wait staff or management. Food was average at best. No excuses for this and will not return.

Max and Erma's is my "go to" place. It's a great place to have dinner with my husband and my kids. I love the tortilla soup. It is what brings people in the door. Along, with the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. When we arrive we always put in an order for after we finish dinner. They have big chocolate chips that ooze chocolate. So good! I also really like the Ruben sandwich and the Laredo Steak. Both of those are great tasting and enjoyable. You can pretty much go in anytime without much of a wait. If my kids are hungry and I want to avoid a wait, I usually always go here. One more thing, take advantage of their rewards card. I received $17 off my last meal, you also get freebies.

Well, I gave them another try... I used to love this place, the atmosphere, but mostly the food... Now it is just a shadow of itself...and a bad one at that. Back in the day, Max & Ermas used to be a hometown favorite.. Barely 50% of the seats full on a cool fall (summer) night, I thought this would be the time for the service to step up, serve us some good food and let us get out of there. Well, the waitress had other plans for us... She was slow, unenthusiastic, and it took 5 minutes after our main courses to arrive to get silverware. Empty glasses and mediocre food plagued us tonight... We all started off with a cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup, and although it came out lukewarm, we couldn't ask the waitress to take it back as she disappeared... We all thought it was good, but should of been a little warmer... After 50 minutes, the main courses came out, I got the black bean veggie burger and my daughters both got the kids chicken tenders. All the food was good, but once again was just lukewarm, like it sat back there waiting for our waitress to bring it out. By this time, I just wanted to get out of there. Well, then came the bill. My soup was only $2.99 with my meal, but my daughters was billed as $3.99, in which I questioned as they ordered it with their meals also. The waitress said that the kids meals aren''t included at that price, which I asked, "Did it state that in the menu?" She looked and said, "No", to which I asked to see a manager as she wasn't going to do nothing about it. He came, took the bill, checked the menu, adjusted the price of the soup. He came back and then said, we adjusted the bill, but the soup isn'tcheaper with the kids meals, then said, my oldest daughter should of been billed as an adult as she's over 12 (according to a waitress that doesn't even know us). My daughter is 12 years old and is 5'11". She can't help it!!!!! I was just offended as not only did she sigh about the soup when I asked about the price, now she's saying my daughter is over 12?!?!?!? Well, after 1 hour 15 minutes we got out of there!!! The food was just ok, the service was horrible and the prices are over inflated for what you get. Me & my family will not be back!

I stopped in while running errands a couple of weeks ago (Yes, I'm catching up on my review postings today!) because I couldn't decide where else to go. I sat in a booth in the bar area and the bartender gave the thumbs up to my Sauteed Mushroom & Swiss burger & fries. The burger was good & flavorful, and cooked exactly as I'd requested. The service was good and the food was sound. I'd say as a chain it's a good fall-back for those times I just can't decide. I would have given 3 stars, but the pricing is a bit too high for what you get.

Far too overpriced for what you get. The food is pretty good although the burgers tend to be messy. The fries are nasty. Service is good. I just think it's too expensive for what you get.

The Chicken Parmigiana is horrible!!! The noodles look and taste like they came out of a hamburger helper box....never again!!!

Love this place! Salads are the best in the area, and they have delish and affordable food.
