Healthy Meal suggestions for Outback Steakhouse

This is a good place to get a decent steak. It's definitely more expensive than other chains like Ruby Tuesday or Chili's, but the steaks here (in my amateur opinion) are great quality and typically they take care to cook it correctly. The servers are typically very attentive and friendly. The bar is also quick to make drinks if we decide to head the adult beverage route. I'm a big fan of Outback's potato soup and their honey wheat bread with whipped butter. I could come here and fill up on the stuff. Of course I'd rather be at an awesome steakhouse in Troy or something, but Outback has scratched my steak itch more than once.

So disappointed ! This was my go to place downriver for thirteen yrs.The quality of the food has deteriorated ! I've been back a few times hoping that things got better, but alas, today will be my last visit there. The ahi tuna app tasted like it had been in the fridge too long. My favorite bleu cheese chop salad had no toppings and no dressing. And are you kidding with the coconut shrimp! They used to be big and visually you could see the coconut in the batter. They are rolled in dried coconut powder or something. ( which I'm sure isn't up to corporate standards) I thought it was just a bad day but my neighbors have said the same thing. Such a shame because I will miss the old outback, but not this one here now!

I ordered Herb Roasted Prime Rib. The steak was nice and tender, but me and my husband was seated closest to the kitchen entrance and it was kind of noisy and crowd. I really wished we could be seated at a more private seat like those seats close to the wall. 5 star to the food we got, and 2 stars off for the service. I think we will try the second time and see if we can get a better experience here.

Honestly the best service I've ever had. I went there for the first time today. We were seated by a polite hostess, no one served us for about 10 minutes. But a waitress from another part of the restraunt asked us if anyone else had helped us, we said no. She said she was very sorry and she would get our drinks for us. She then came back and said that she would take care of us. She came out with fresh bread and took our order. She then came back with our salads and told us that the manager was very sorry about the wait and that we could both have a dessert for free. She kept asking us how our food was and she was very prompt about anything we needed or ordered. I have been to a lot a lot of restraunts and believe me, our waitress was the best waitress I have ever had. The food was also awesome. Loved the baked potato loaded. I highly recommend that you go there. I will go there for life now!

This place is Awesome! I am usually not a big fan of the national chains, but every time I visit I am not disappointed! I usually get the Filet which is cooked to perfection. If I had anything negative to say it would be that the restaurant is a little small, so wait times can be a little long especially on the weekend. Go early! Overall - Love it!

Their tuna appetizer was good, but the rest was pretty bad. I honestly think you could open a place that sells shit sandwiches in this area of downriver and it will do well though.

Our food was delicious and the steaks cooked to our specification. We did not have a long wait even though there were a lot of people the. Our server Ashley was so sweet and really v took care of us.

Swore this place off long ago. Just recently went back after approximately 3 years & I "LOVED" it. Bone in ribeye & wedge salad has won me back, as well as their new onion pedals (blooming onion already pulled apart & very crunchy)! Been here 3 times in the last month & service has been consistent. They will definitely be seeing a lot more of me. I'm back!!! :-)

The manager, Zack and our waitress, Kim were amazing. They were both very friendly and prompt. One of our steaks were over done, and the waitress informed Zack. Zack came right over and was immediately apologetic. It was no big deal, but he made every effort to make sure we were accommodated. Treated us like we were more than just another customer. I would definitely return to this location!

Ordered filet and received a sirloin. Manager insisted that it was "butterflied." Riiiight... Comped me for one order. It wasn't about the money, buddy. Never, ever going back.

Typical outback. Usually the service is great but last night around 10:30, our waitress seemed very distracted and she didn't give barely any eye contact because she kept staring at the door while taking our order and I noticed she was doing it to the other tables too. She wasn't really trying to be friendly either. Last night (and other times we've come), our steaks were very undercooked. I asked for medium rare and it was definitely rare with some of it maybe even being raw. My boyfriend asked for it medium and his was cooked similar to mine. We did not inform anyone about it because it was late and we didn't want to have to eat the rest of our meal without the steak. The rest of our food was great but it seems like most times we've been to this outback, our steaks just aren't cooked anywhere close to right. So we ate our steaks and they still tasted okay. We didn't get sick or anything but it's just disappointing that our steaks are almost never cooked right when we go to outback. My lobster tail, on the other hand, was delicious as I've been craving sea food in the worst way lately. Also, for once, the bread that they give you to start with was exceptionally good. The reason I say "for once" is because usually this part of the meal is just blah for some reason. So 3 stars due to our steaks being consistently undercooked and the service being nothing special last night.

Well, came here at 12:15 and we just got our salad, over an hour later. Absolutely the worst service i have ever encountered.

Meh isn't the right word. While I never expect real steakhouse quality steaks at Outback, I also know that generally they can do a steak right on the cheap. My sister and I both ordered the prime rib medium rare and hers came out about medium-ish, while mine came out well-done. I immediately told our very nice server that my prime rib was nowhere near medium rare and she apologized, nicely, then told me that I'd gotten one of the last pieces they had and that was the closest they could get to my desired temperature. Say what? She did tell me that she could take it back, but I would have to order something else because they were now turning people away from the prime rib. Ummm ok. So why not tell me that at the get-go when we are all ordering so that I could make another choice and eat with my family? Disappointing overall.

This was my first visit to this location and I'm not sure I'd return. My first impression was the restaurant could do with a good sanitizing. Floors were disgusting and booth felt dingy. Speaking of which, we arrived around 5pm and there were plenty of booths available, but we were given a booth by the kitchen. Our food came out fairly quick. I ordered grilled chicken and unlimited shrimp with mixed vegetables for a side. The meal was ok but the chicken and vegetables tasted like it was previously frozen. My dinner companion had the prime rib and it was medium rare as ordered. His meal was ordered off the special menu that was only available on Wednesday and Sunday. For $19.99, it was a great deal.

The food is always tremendous but this particular location the service was horrible. Nothing like having to call the restaurant to ask our server to come to our table... after she dropped the food she dropped us. And this was after some rude people at the bar was being bullies.

Came in with my family of four. The seating for children was unsatisfactory and maybe illegal. The steaks were overcooked except for my wife's chicken was basically raw. We won't be back to say the least.

Love the click thru seating especially on a Friday nite! Its like jumping to the front of the line! My favorite place for a sirloin steak and potato!

I ordered the short rib nacho, chicken sandwich and sweet potato, and everything was delicious!! My friend ordered grilled chicken with a bake potato side, but didn't like the way the chicken tasted, and the manager was really nice offering her something else, and giving both of us free desert. I would recommend this location!!! It was my first visit, and I wasn't disappointed.

My son and I ordered carry out, and as usual, Outback outdid themselves. Thank you Outback. It was exceptionally delicious :)

Pretty good for a chain. I love the chopped salad (extra blue cheese please). and the baked potato, is very good. That may sound odd, but so many places don't coat them in salt to help draw the moisture out, and others wrap them in foil so the texture comes out much like a microwaved one.

My family frequents here often. We last went on a Tuesday afternoon, and were seated quickly. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the food was good. It can get pretty crowded with a long wait on the weekends and holidays, though! Call ahead seating helps when they are crowded, but there is often still a short wait with that. They have take-out, although we rarely use that option - just seems funny to us to take-out from a steak place!

I ordered a ribeye. It's a steak house, right? This thing came out a quarter inch thin with like all the fat trimmed off. It was the worst ribeye I've ever had. I forced some of it down, but couldn't eat it. I may as well have got a sirloin, rather than wasting $18 on that. If it weren't for their delicious bloomin onion and salad before the awful "steak", I would have left hungry. Thankfully, the company I had with me was awesome too. Can't go wrong with a group of ladies.
