You only get one free refill on Pop. I hate it when you can't get free refills. The polish combo is so good. I love the city chicken. Perogies. They have excellent soups. Love the chicken dumpling. Service is usually very good. This restaurant caters to an older crowd. On Fat Tuesday, they offer the most excellent pazcki.

Eh, alright in a pinch. Its popular, atmosphere needs a bit of sprucing up, and the food is okay. The perogis were fried pretty deeply, and seemed to have come from one of those perogi-making machines. Absent were some other american-polish standards (like stuffed cabbage). Cabbage soup was very good. Server was a bit unattentitve and got my wife's order wrong.

I LOVE this place. I live in NM now and all u can say is that every time I come back to Michigan to visit, I ALWAYS come here to eat. I love berthing here - it's just your quintessential family owned, home cooked mid-west (Detroit) restaurant. The homemade soups to pierogies and city chicken - and, they make fresh REAL mash potatoes too! I've eaten at many famous steak houses while traveling for business and they all use a mix of real and fake potatoes for their mash. Plus, it's always swimming in butter and other crap. Here at Three Brothers you food taste like - and I'm serious - you am just made it. They have no idea what pierogies are here in NM... And no fault of their own... I feel like it's my responsibility to do something about this and open my own Three Brothers out here one day! Congrats Canton - you're very fortunate to have this little nugget!!! Ps... I'm sure I didn't spell "pierogies" properly. :)-

We started with the large bowl of Chicken Dumpling soup. I'm used to the flatter style of dumplings, but these were still good. We then tried the Mac and Cheese with a number 3 combo. All good. For a Friday night there were a lot of old timers braving the elements for a good home cooked dinner. The combo included 3 Perogis, 2 Potatoe Pancakes and 2 Fried Fish. The Perogis were pretty good. My favorite was the potato. The potato pancakes were nice and crispy fried with a hint of onion. And the fish was lightly battered cod with a mild taste. The meal was good, the service was very good and in fact all the employees were friendly and helpful. I'm anxious to try their Kielbasa and egg breakfast real soon. 3 stars and I'll be back...

This is our go-to for comfort food restaurant. The portions are huge. I recommend the cabbage soup and the city chicken. Good prices.

Delicious, good portions, and one of the only legit Polish restaurants I'll go to. I think that Three Brothers' golabki is WAY better than Polish Village's golabki, and their sauerkraut and soup (like everybody else said) is AMAZING. They'll even put onions and bacon on your pierogis. SO YUMMY. The only complaint I have is about the smoked kielbasa. Seems like they're using Ekrich smoked sausage -- yuck! Joy View Meat Market isn't too far away -- get your kielbasa from them, Three Brothers! Regardless, this is comfort food at its finest.

If you do not want to make the voyage to Hamtramck and eat at Polonias, this is the second best local place for Polish Food behind Steve's on Middle Belt. I used to go to the original in Detroit on Warren Avenue (since closed), so if craving some quick Polish Food will stop in. Even though it is a Polish Restaurant, the owners are not Polish, which drops it to a 3*. Just feel when you have ethnic food, you want it just like you were in their kitchen. The cabbage soup is pretty standard (a must to dip the bread). Went with the Combo and fresh kielbasa. Once again, good, but not the best out of other options if you want to drive. Disappointed in the sweet cheese pierogi, as it was pretty bland. Overall, not bad, but if you want a GREAT Polish meal, take the drive or at least go to Steve's.

I didn't even see three people that worked here who could be brothers! It didn't matter. This is a real nice family restaurant. I love a good hot turkey sandwich smothered in gravy and french fries too. I'll even eat a vegetable too, only if it's corn. This is one of my favorite meals. I went here just before Thanksgiving to get my palate thinking turkey. This is one of the better hot turkey sandwiches in the area. The yellow turkey gravy was more authentic REAL turkey gravy, not the yellow oozing goodness I like too. The fries were hot and delicious and smothered in gravy. Sorry no corn on this trip....extra fries...mmmmm. Prices really reasonable. There were a lot very nice interesting smells as food passed like the cabbage soup, spaghetti(garlic).... Note: Must come here for breakfast.

I never thought I'd be a fan of a Polish restaurant. I've just never really liked the food that much. Well, how many Polacks does it take to change my mind? Three! Three Brothers that is! I've been here several (5) times now. I wanted to wait to make sure it wasn't a fluke that they were so good. Each time was as good as the next! I've had the cheese, potato, and sour kraut perogies (I used to be a sour kraut hater - no more!), the potato pancakes, roasted chicken & dumplings, veal parmigiana, chicken pot pie, and the famous chicken-n-dumpling soup. Everything comes out tasting home cooked and Delicious! The place is ALWAYS busy (a testament), and the staff are great at keeping up and being oh-so-friendly. The ladies at the counter seem to know most customers by name! This is a weekly go-to pplace for me now. Hard to find if you're not looking for it. Program the GPS, it's worth it!

Very good food. I had kielbasa and pierogies (can't spell it) and we also had ghoulish. Everything was very good and service was great, fast and friendly. We will come back.

No wait to be seated! Polish combo was fantastic, also recommend the cabbage soup. Finished the meal w/ the lemon bar dessert (w/ blueberries)! Everything was delicious! Of course had to leave w/ a to-go container. Prices were great especially for the size. Under $35 for two people w/ tax and 20% tip. Waitress was friendly and wait for drink refills was minimal.

Not a lot of polish restaurant to choose from. Good authentic good. Took home a lot very filling

Very homey type place with a kind of Coney Island vibe. We ordered the polish things on the menu and were super satisfied. The chicken city is recommended! Our server was this really warm, older Eastern European woman that made the experience even better. Also - nothing on the menu is over $10!!!

Mom and pop no frills restaurant with food just like grandma makes. Pierogis and chicken dumpling soup are fantastic and great for warming up on a cold day.

3 for service (but this depends on who you get for a waitress and hostess) 4 for downhome cooking at a reasonable price. Soup is delicious. I had the chicken dumpling and LOVED it. I had the broasted chicken dinner. It arrived piping hot. The potatoes were yum but the gravy was a bit meh. It could have had a bit more flavor to it. The pieces of chicken were perfect and broasted to perfection. Hubs had the city chicken; very good. Son had the chicken tender meal; good. You are given a basket of bread with your meal. The bread is very tasty. We also had a side of saurkraut. it wasn't what I expected. I'm use to the polish saurkraut from one of our fave restaurants in Hamtramack. It's a nice lil mom/pop place. Good to see that it's not had to close, in this economy.

Went back after not going here for many years and really not much has changed. I decided to get the city chicken combo which comes with 1 city chicken,3 pierogis, smoked sausage and what they call sauerkraut(which it is not, it's cabbage and disappointing ). I wanted dill pickle soup and potato pancakes but they are only served on certain days(also VERY disappointing). I also tried the chicken and dumpling soup which was good, but not great. All in all I would make the trek to Hamtramack so I don't have to wait to get what I wanted only on CERTAIN days. A shame too because they are much closer to home...:(

If you're looking for high-quality, quick and cheap food, Three Brothers is about as good as you can get. Stopped in here the other day and tried a couple of their soups. Both were very, very good. I highly recommend giving their soup a try. I also tried the chicken club sandwich and that was really good as well. It's got a "coney island" feel inside, so know what you're getting into before you go. The service was friendly and fast...and the manager stopped by to check on everything as well. My only complaint is that they're lacking a little in the healthier fare department. They have some options, but could use a few more. That being said, I doubt many people are coming to Three Brothers because they are on a diet... After I shed those stubborn, last 30 pounds, I'm coming back and indulging in the Polish fare.

The food is mediocre. Not anything worth going back for. However that is not why I am giving them a bad review. We went there for dinner for a birthday and we all ordered entrees and extras. When we wanted to eat the birthday cake we brought, we were told that it was a 50 cent per person charge for each plate we used. I have never been charged by a restaurant for bringing in a special cake for a celebration. All other restaurants have graciously provided us with plates, forks , knives and good wishes. Not this place. I decided to just send the cake home with the birthday boy and take one piece home for myself. They wanted to charge 15 cents for a carry out box for me to use for a piece of cake. The owner of this place may be penny wise but he is pound foolish. We will never go back to this dump again.

Went back on Palm Sunday to try the specials. I ordered the roast duck, turkey and stuffing, the stuffed cabbage, and the chicken pot pie. The hostess recommended the lemon berry cake and the apple pie. When I asked her if it had caramel, she said if I wanted, they'd pour caramel on it! I opted to not "gild the lily" and went with the plain. I ordered carry-out to bring back home for everyone and found out the everything was excellent. The big surprise was the stuffed cabbage. For such a humble dish they had elevated it to "company quality", meaning it was perfect for guests.

Long story short had to run an errand in the area, while visiting in town for a Tigers Game. This was the only resturant in sight so we stopped. Cute little diner - most folks in there were 55+. Prices were affordable. Bread in bags as appitzer was great, we tried Beet Soup! An aquired taste. The Periogis were great. Got the cheese - fantastic. Fresh Kielbasa tasted like my grandmas. Specials change each day, and the service was pretty welcoming even though we weren't regulars or locals really. Glad to have some good polish food while in D. I wouldnt drive more than 45 minutes out of the way for this place but its good and you can't beat the price.

I've wanted to eat at this place since I was a kid living in Canton. I remember all the band parents raving about it...and they were right! We had a bad night and needed some comfort food. We happened to be in westland, so I fired out the yelp app and this place popped up. Having Polish blood, both my fiancee and I were down to try it. The mere fact that 3 brothers has been here since I was a teenager in the 90's has to say something. Cabbage soup was awesome, and the bowl was HUGE. We shared it. Beef stew was decent, tender beef and a lot of potatoes. I was envious of his city platter...the kielbasa was awesome, the kraut homemade, and the pierogi were to die for. The nalisniki (apple and strawberry) with ice cream were amazing. On top of that, the service was very fast, and the waitress was sweet. I may be 30, but I still like to be called honey ;)

Went there yesterday and ordered corned beef and cabbage. The meat was chewy and full of grizzle. There was a table came in and sat behind us and ordered same dish. My daughter very nicely said the meat was chewy and they ordered something else. The waitress came over and asked if I wanted something else. I actually didn't. The owner overheard and came to our table picked up my plate and started ripping the meat up in front of me with her hands saying that was the best meat ever and I didn't know what I was talking about. I have been going there for ten years and will never go again. The waitress was afraid of her. She continued yelling as I paid my bill.

Located near my work, this is a quick place for lunch. It IS kind of a Polish Bill Knapps (older crowd)! But service is snappy, and the food is consistently good. The homemade soup rocks, especially the chicken dumpling and cabbage (which has meat in it, btw). Tasty kielbasa (get it split and grilled, with a side of horseradish), pierogies, broasted chicken, BLT. I'm not a stuffed cabbage fan, but my husband really likes it. In the Steve's vs 3 Brothers battle I give the win to the Brothers. Maybe because it was the first one I tried, or maybe because it's slightly better... not sure.

Stopped in for lunch once. Cabbage soup was great as were pierogies. Good size portions. Waiters friendly and attentive.

Worse service ever. We had to wait more than ten minutes after seated to have a server come over and that was only after I asked the hostess if someone was serving us. Waitress kept sitting and talking with another table nearby of guests who were obviously her friends while ignoring us. She then took forever to bring the check and despite four people standing around the check in desk none could cash us out, only the person who was on the phone taking an endless take out order. Food was average to poor. Will never be back.

My father of course loves it here. I like it a lot for breakfast. Nothing like some nice kielbasa with my eggs and rye toast. French toast and pancakes are good too. Service is friendly and fast, the crowd skews older. People love the Polish food here. I prefer Steve's for city chicken myself, this kraut is nicer though and I have a hard time resisting a Polish plate. The nalisniki is also very decent. The broasted chicken is extremely tasty. My dad particularly likes the pork chops here a lot and my mom is a fan of the short ribs. I do think the soups are incredible, the German tomato (served Thursdays I believe) is awesome, the cabbage easily my fave cabbage ever, the chicken dumpling is pure comfort food from a grandma. On Tuesdays you can sample the dill pickle for a real treat. For a buck you get a big bowl with your meal but I could easily just eat soup and rye bread and be perfectly happy. I have a really hard time picking a fave soup, I rotate based on availability. People around town really love it. I like it a lot but I hate to build it up too much. It's just a grandma type joint really, with tasty breakfast, out of this world soup and the nicest broasted chicken mmmm. Eat in, the portions are better than to go. Also, get a big soup to go, trust me, just get it.

As a resident of Plymouth, I'm delighted that I don't have to drive all the way to Hamtramck for my Polish food fix. Three Brothers is right down the road, and if I'm having a kielbasa craving that I just can't kick, they are right there! Some of the negative points different reviewers have pointed out may be valid, because I tend to stick to the strictly Polish fare. Kielbasa, kraut, pierogi, and potato pancakes are all fantastic. The couple of times that I tried one of the available soups, I was certainly not let down. They have a decent-sized menu, so I can't speak for their other offerings, but if you're in the mood for Polish food, definitely stop by!

Stop the presses and RUN down here for what may be the BEST CHICKEN IN THE CITY. It's "broasted" (whatever that means) but think of it as lightly breaded, perfectly crispy, wonderfully seasoned and juicy moist. Really. Also the boiled pirogi are great. The soups are great (chicken dumpling a favorite). The nalisniki (blintzes / crepes) were amazing. The slightly sweet cheese was very light. The apple one was slightly but not overly sweet - tasted like apple! Everything's home made - whole chickens are cut up into pieces, the soups, the sauerkraut. The service was great by a waitress who has been at 3 brothers when they were in Detroit. Not "fancy" but fan-tastic. I give it 5 stars for for quality and value.

I was running errands this morning when hunger hit me and I realized I forgot to eat breakfast....so I whipped into this place. Everytime I drive by this place the parking lot is pretty full so I was hopeful it would be good. I decided to order a carryout and eat in the car on the way to my next appointment so I went in and approached the desk where I perused the menu. They had several specials listed for Friday including Combo #1 which was 3 pierogi, 2 pot pancakes and 2 nalisnikis. I didn't know what nalisknikis were so I asked the girl and she explained basically it was a stuffed crepe. So I ordered the combo, mixing up the fillings in my items. I sat in the lobby area and waited for about 5 minutes. The restaurant seemed clean and the workers were all speaking polish so I'm pretty sure at this point its gonna be authentic :) Get my order, jump in the car and pop out a pierogi.....aaaaaahhhhh....those are angels singing. I am not and never have been a big fan of polish food. But those pierogis were the best I have ever eaten! The sauerkraut filled one was absolutely the right amount of saltiness and dough and mmm. The potato pancake just as fab with a great crust and lots of onion flavor. The nalisniki was good when it was hot and fresh but once I got it home it was cold and not good. I'd like to go back to this place sometime to actually sit down and eat a good meal. I'll be back.

  • Chiwei L.

The perfect place for wholesome home cooked food at an affordable price. I'm not sure if it's trying to be a "polish" place, but you'll always get something that taste good, especially compared to all the sucky coney island places out there. Basic Breakfast is well executed, and yummy, and I'm a big fan of their pancakes (and i never like pancakes!) Their soups are really something special too. Not fancy or gourmet, just good food!

  • L P.

If you want a restaurant that offers a full complement of polish food, delivered with good service, this is the place for you. You can order items like stuffed cabbage, pierogis, and more, and there's also the combination plate that will leave you feeling like a stuffed cabbage it's so big. Mostly I am not able to complete my entire meal and wind up boxing it up and taking it home. I have also eaten hear on a couple of occasions for breakfast and found it to be solid fare and served quickly and hot! Considering how many people are usually here (it's a busy place) that's saying a lot. Best bet? The dumpling soup. Sometimes when I'm not feeling well I'll run over and get a take out.

    (4)
  • Tom A.

I went here with my parents and was SO impressed. They offer wonderful soups and perfectly-sized portions for lunch. You have to try their chicken and dumpling soup! The price is also VERY reasonable. This place is definitely a hidden gem, right in the middle of a non-industrial Joy Rd.

  • D A.

I love this place. It's been a go-to place for my family to go for dinner. Breakfast is really good, but dinner/lunch is best. Service is great, and the crowd is generally older. My favorites are the potato pancakes (friday only), pierogi (kraut and potato), city chicken, and the nalisniki. The soups are a must, but I always get the chicken dumpling soup. My son is a picky eater, but he always loved the dumpling soup as well.

walking through the doors of three brothers is very much like entering your grandmother's retirement home. the huge difference is the food is pretty darn good. i went with a couple of the recommendations on the broasted chicken and was in love with some moist, tasty and crispy chicken that blows anything i've had around here out of the water. the skin was perfection. i almost wanted a meal just of the crispy skins. tasteless chicken shack this is not and the fact that a family restaurant specializing in polish food makes such a good fried-type chicken was not lost on me. besides the delicious chicken the soups were all made in house and delicious including dumpling, potato, cabbage and czarnina. all that food and the price for a full meal including soup was 8 dollars. love, juston

Cabbage soup was amazing. Great potato pierogies - didn't care for the kraut or cheese ones. City chicken and stuffed peppers were kinda bland. Slow but polite waitstaff.

The cabbage soup is wonderful...rich pork broth, chunks of potato and barley. The pierogi are tasty with bacon and onions and the wait staff was super friendly!

We went here expecting a some great food. Yelp you let us down :( The experience started off with me being disappointed as they didn't have stuffed cabbage that night (Saturday). However, I was quite excited by the chicken dumpling. Sadly I thought it tasted like they made some dumplings and threw it in a can of Cambell's chicken noodle. I also almost broke a tooth on a small bone. Granted, as my husband said, at least you know it really is "home made." My husband ordered the broasted chicken which is what the 3 stars is for. If I was basing this on my order (Hot Beef sandwich), it would have gotten 1 star. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant. The beef had a distinct flavor....as in the microwaved kind. I was very disappointed. I don't think we'll go back to try the Stuffed Cabbage unless we go with someone else.

Yum. Yum. Yum. The perogi are outstanding. The staff are super friendly - they really make you feel at home.

Good polish food, good prices, crowd is definitely older. Like Liz below, I do also prefer Steve's. Not sure if they have changed this over the years or not (since I have discovered Steve's, I have not been in here recently) but they used to take cash only...no credit cards. I remember going there once having no cash, just plastic, and so I wrote them a check. LOL.

This place probably gets a solid 3.5 from me. You walk in to this place and it's very much a homey diner. It was not crowded at all...probably because it was normal dinner time...and we were seated right away. I was excited to see kraut pierogis and fresh polish sausage on the menu, so I jumped on that. The 3 pierogi/sausage plate is SMALL, which was really disappointing. Further, the "kraut" in the pierogi was just cooked cabbage. However, everything was pretty good. My boyfriend had the broasted chicken, which was deliciously crispy and HOT, but his sides were very "diner" and disappointing. I think they can do better than freezer fries and carrots. Since my portion was so small, I had room for a sweet cheese nalesniki for dessert. The cheese mix inside was light and not too sweet and the outside had a delicious pan-fried crisp which kind of gave the whole thing a toasted marshmallow taste. Frankly, I would go back, but it's not a place I would necessarily rave about.

We love Three Brothers. Great pancakes, great pierogies (boiled or fried- both ways are delicious and filling), great dinner specials (city chicken and pork chops are amazing). The service is always kind and quick, and the restaurant is very kid-friendly.

I love trying popular local independent restaurants so when Three Brothers was suggested, I was happy to give it a try. Our group of six arrived around 6 pm on a Tuesday evening. The place was hopping and we had to wait about 25 minutes for a table. It took another 20 minutes for our waitress to get to us but we could see she was running as fast as she could and we weren't in any particular hurry. I wanted to try the authentic Polish fare, so I ordered the assortment of cheese, sour kraut and potato pierogies with onion and bacon topping - flavor not so bad but a bit heavy and greasy. The dumplings in the chicken dumpling soup were dense and the flavor just so-so. For dessert, I tried the Polish apple crepes with ice cream - again not bad but the crepes were not as tender as I prefer. I tried a bite of my sister-in-law's carrot cake and agreed it was excellent. The vast majority of patrons did appear to be seniors who I suspect appreciate the affordable home-style Polish fare. Although it was fun to experience this well-loved establishment, it simply wasn't my cup of tea!

  • Kelly B.

The highlight really is the soup, especially the cabbage. Both my husband and I have polish in our blood and we agree the food is OK if you can't get to Hamtrammck or Troy, but certainly not the end all place to go for polish food. The kielbasa is good, pierogi are average - better than grocery store frozen variety, stuffed cabbage is meh. The best thing to do is go for the soup and the bread. The bread is just regular rye bread, but it is transformed by the soups - any kind, but again especially the cabbage. Did I mention the cabbage soup?

hands down the best chicken dumpling soup ever!!!!!!!!!! let me help you guys with the kraut! needs a little work but everything is fantastic! always busy!

  • Jim J.

This is the first time the yelpers steered me wrong. This is not the polish food I grew up on. I should have known better when they served sauer kraut and not kapusta. The kielbasa was smoked not fresh and tasted like Ekerich smoked saugage...yuck and the casing was as tough as a Waffle House steak. Perogi's were just ok, the only saving grace was the chicken. I don't understand any of the reviews that claim this if authentic Polish food. My busha would roll over in her grave if I gave this place a good review.

My husband and I went there on Friday, drove in rush hour traffic, and got there after 5:00. I was disappointed to find out that you can only get a combination plate on certain days but not on the day we went there, which was Friday. We then saw his father and his friend and found out his father was overcharged for a bowl of soup. Bummer!

I love this place! I go maybe once a week. Why? I'm not so sure. The chicken dumpling soup is very very good. Best soup in the area I'd say. The fresh bread they over with every meal is fantastic and the hostesses are amazing. They are super friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel like family. My mother always gets the broiled chicken and it's very tasty. I'd say the only down side to this place would be that everything has a funny taste to it. Like they use the same fryer for all their meats and foods or maybe it's a spice they add to their food I am not sure. It's not bad but after tasting a few meals you'll notice it for sure. All their cakes and pies and desserts are terrible as well but that doesn't really bother me since most restaurants freeze and thaw generic desserts anyway around here. Be prepared for a lot of corn syrup and very lil taste if you order one. Overall for the price and service this is a great place to take the family. You will notice they definitely cater to an older clientele. If your in the area it's worth a try!

This is one of my favorite places to eat for comfort food. It's right down the street from me so I've eaten there at least 60 times in the past few years. They offer their pierogi boiled or fried (I prefer boiled but few places offer it that way). Their soups are AMAZING and home-made every day. I love the cabbage soup as well as the chicken and dumpling. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because they often run out of their specials. Lots of older people eat here and, dinner for them is 4pm so I suppose they buy up all of the specials? Either way, I will keep coming back!

  • Jack M.

If you want to feel like you are in Poland or Hungary this is the place for you. Full of old Polish people the soup is very good, they give you plenty, and it is cheap. I would never go there for a night out. But if you are looking for a quick, good, cheap home made type of meal you can`t go wrong here.

  • Joan B.

Excellent service, great food, awesome prices. The Cheese Nalisniki made me feel I was eating my mother's paliscinta (Hungarian version). Their Kielbasa was also excellent, and they had the best cabbage soup I have ever had. I will be adding some pictures of the menu, important since their menu changes by day so if you want something specific like stuffed cabbage you want to check and make sure they have it that day.

Brothers is a deal-place. Good quality and value. Authentic Polish? Nope, nothing like my family but it'll do in a pinch. No fresh kielbasa either, only smoked. Still, I've never left there dissatisfied with my meal or the price. Get your expectations in check before you enter. There are no $28 plates. Pork chops are good (big order) and the city chicken (on select nights) is very good too.You get an entire meal for under $10 so this isn't fine dining but it is 1,000 times better than a fast food order for a similar price. Good people. Good place. Good meals!!!

I took my grandma here yesterday because she was depressed. Polish food is comfort food for my entire family. The pierogi remind me of the great-grandmother's when I used to spend summers in Pennsylvania. I was reluctant to try the dill pickle soup because, let's face it, that just sounds weird. I gave it a go, and it was fantastic! I decided that I would continue along with the diet violations and have dessert too. We ordered up the best damn rice pudding I have had since my grandma used to make it! After lunch, I had food coma and was required to go home and take a nap.

Please be advised this not a Polish restaurant per se,,,,they cook very good Polish style food but they are Macedonian. I used to visit their father's Steve place in Detroit . Food is good however. For true Polish try Sabina's in Melvindale, Mi.

Homestyle Polish food, like Grandma used to make! Excellent homemade perogis, fresh kielbasa, some of the best kraut I've ever had, and moist city chicken. Family owned and operated. A real treasure for the city of Plymouth.

This place has it all: great and authentic food, a clean and inviting interior, wonderful staff, and low prices. I've been here at least 100 times since 1997 and I plan on going at least 400 more times in the future. The hype is real! Believe it!

4 star families of all ages experience at Brothers. The decor takes it a notch above a nice coney/diner and other Polish restaurants. We took my grandparents here for many many years in the late 90s/early 00s so I return for nostalgic reasons in addition to the "home cooked" meals. Starting with the soup - chicken dumpling, chicken noodle and mushroom are delicious and a great low cost addition to an entrée. Fave entrées - potato pancakes, broasted chicken, grilled cheese and fries, fried shrimp, grilled or fried pork chops (2 huge ones!), nalisniki. I recall the sides to be pretty standard mass produced mashed potatoes and overcooked veggies that your grandma made from a can but they may have changed since my last experience. I can't say that I'm in love with their pierogies as my family (and Alexander's in South Lyon) makes them better. Breakfast here is above average of a diner. I love that you can get kielbasa and marble rye bread.

This place is home cooked deliciousness with a casual warm family welcome. Three Brothers is an awesome family owned and run restaurant that has the feel of Grandma's Sunday dinner, without the trouble of your crazy aunt who won't stop pinching your cheeks. All joking aside, I have visited several times and just recently went to a couple events catered by them. Everything I have eaten was AWESOME! Service was warm and friendly....but not too friendly if you know what I mean. The waitress was cordial but not so chatty you felt like you needed to invite her to sit down with you. :-) But the food is why we come....first if you were a rare person who has gotten to try their BBQ ribs...you were blessed with mouthfuls of tasty heaven. Only served for special events and holidays, the ribs are delectable. The fried (broasted) chicken was moist and flavorful as well as perfectly cooked. I hate it when places try and keep their chicken moist and the skin ends up soggy or the meat undercooked. This chicken was neither!! Skin was crispy and chicken was cooked perfectly. The perogies were as tasty as the homemade ones my Polish friends' grandma makes. In fact I thought 3 Brothers were better...but shhhh dont tell. So stop by for a lunch or dinner. Expect good food, at good prices and a family welcome.

Great place for a very filling meal. Not usually a wait, and service has always been good. Wish they had city chicken everyday! Soup is less than $1 with a meal, which is amazing these days when some places charge $4+ for a cup of soup. I recommend for lunch or warming meal on a cold day.

A great family style (Polish) food. Generally some of the best scratch made meals served by friendly staff. Love comming here for the perogie combo meals with potato pancakes or kielbasa from Dearborn. My eldest really likes the fish and chips.

The restaurant is actually quite large and was still almost entirely full when we went. It looked like there was a very large age range of customers, and by the way the waitresses talked most of the people there were regulars. The service was excellent, and our waitress was very patient with us while she explained what some things were. She even brought us out a few different soups to taste to help us make up our mind. We ordered the stuffed cabbage plate which came with kielbasa, sauerkrout, 3 kinds of pierogi, and a stuffed cabbage. Since we split the plate we also decided to each get a soup. The potato soup was thick and delicious, and I loved that instead of it being a creme or milk base it tasted like a chicken base. It also didn't appear to have been thickened with anything other than potatoes. The kielbasa was flavorful and had a great texture. The sauerkraut was one of the first I've ever liked. It had a little vinegar bite to it, but was very tasty. The pierogies appeared to have been deep fried, but they were delicious. The cheese one reminded me of paneer cheese, the potato was very well seasoned, and the cabbage was my favorite. They all were very good though. However, the pièce de résistance was definitely the cabbage roll. The sauce was jam packed with flavor and had a rich tomato taste to it. The cabbage was cooked to perfection and had an almost velvety texture to it, and the filling could not have been seasoned any better. I can't say that I'm a Polish connoisseur, but I know good food when I eat it. This place was delicious, and it's always great to try new ethnic food!

Kilbasa and eggs!?! Sign me up! I wanted to stop at a new place for breakfast and I am so glad I stopped here! The atmosphere is great! Open, airy and comfy.. The service was fantastic. I was seated quickly and the waitress was a sweetie. They have a lot of soups, sandwiches, salads and entrees. Everything from BLTs to dill pickle soup to spaghetti to pierogi's. Breakfast is a little more limited in regards to options, but they have several egg dishes and their breakfast special is eggs with ham, sausage, bacon or kilbasa with toast and hasbrowns for under $3.00! When I visited, I opted for the eggs and kilbasa option. The eggs were done perfectly (not too greasy), the kilbasa was delicious! And the toast was perfect (which doesn't always happen at a restaurant). I am not a hashbrowwn fan, so I didn't try them, but they were plentiful! The prices were reasonable! They have a lot of parking and take out if you dont want to dine in! I highly recommend!

I used to visit the 3 Brothers restaurant in Warrendale area of Detroit. Really enjoyed the authentic flare. So when we were looking for Polish food while out spending time exploring and came across 3 Brothers I knew it was the place for us. My wife is a little afraid o F my taste in restaurants as i am up for the weird and unusual, but as she was eating her fresh kielbasa, sour kraut, and pierogi and humming. I knew she was hooked and a fan of another one of my favorite non national chain choices. I had the city chicken platter starting off with home made chicken and dumpling soup. The dumplings were as light as air. I am adding a few pictures, I wanted to add the plated after view but I was afraid to lock the plate clean in public. Too stuffed for dessert, and very disappointed, but there will be a second act to eating at this restaurant.

Great polish food! 3 Brothers in Canton is a charming little polish restaurant that serves fantastic kielbasa and pierogis. Today I tried the grilled pork chop and it was really good and I would recommend it too! The wait staff is a group of seasoned pros (no distracted teeny boppers here). It tends to be a more mature crowd, lots of big hair, reminiscent of the old Bill Knapp crowd. If you are looking for good polish food, without the drive to Hamtramick (Polish Village is 1) it's the best you will find.

I must have came on a bad day. I heard great things about this place but experienced none of it. I went in during lunch mid week waited 15 min to be seated then waited another 10 for a waitress. There was hardly anyone in there. 2 people who came in after me were waited on first and when my waitress came she was rushed. I ordered the kielbasa and eggs which came out cold after waiting 30 min. Asked for hot sauce and a refill on my coffee, neither happened. I'm not sure if it was because i was alone or what it was but it definitely wasn't the experience that others seem to have had here.

I haven't been to this place in at least 20 years. I'm not sure what I was thinking! My Aunt wanted some good soup and I recalled the days when I worked nearby and when sick would stop in for the chicken dumpling soup. On a 30 degree Halloween evening, we stopped in. The greeting and seating were friendly and accommodating, the service friendly and quick, and the soup still delicious. We both had chicken dumpling which was lacking in actual chicken but delicious and warm. We then split an order of pierogi, only $6! delicious and boiled by request. Instead of sauerkraut, we substituted potato and cheese only with no problem. We couldn't leave without a bite of dessert, so we split Apple Nalesinki, warmed up with caramel sauce on top. $13 for everything out the door? A bargain. I won't wait 20 years to go back. Thanks 3 Brothers...you made a little old lady happy.

We're in from out of town. Looked on yelp for a good place to eat that was close by. We were pleasantly surprised by Three Brothers. The meals were inexpensive (which is important when you're feeding 5 people). The staff was very friendly and the service was attentive. Food was terrific. Breakfast is served anytime, which pleased my pancake-loving son. Soups were all scratch made and scrumptious. Perfect for dipping the complimentary rye and pumpernickel bread. Had to try the homemade apple pie made with Michigan apples. It was very good. The crust was thick but fully cooked and flaky. We will recommend Three Brothers to anyone and will definitely dine here again the next time we're in the Detroit area.

4 words: German Tomato Soup,Thursdays! Wow, that thing is worth the drive itself, I could take it in like IV, it's so good. Seconding what everyone else says of this place, their food is definitely affordable and yummy. Things here taste home-cooked without that stock Coney vibe. I like it a lot. My Polish plate was a little over $8 and it was so worth it. I'm not an expect on authenticity for pierogis and those cabbage rolls, but damn they're yummy. Like others have mentioned, their sauerkraut tastes a little bit off. Salisbury steak with their gravy is good too, don't ever buy Swanson's again!

Really good family dining with a Polish twist, Three Brothers is fast becoming our go to place for a quick bite after work when we are too tired to cook and want to eat near home. A variety of dinner specials are switched up daily and you can always get Polish favorites like pierogies and kielbasa as well. The portions are plentiful (I frequently take some home) and meals are well-priced. Service is very friendly and efficient. The soup is outstanding. Three Brothers changes up their soup offerings daily and we have yet to have one we didn't enjoy. Cream of mushroom, cabbage, chicken dumpling - all yummy. The mashed potatoes are really, really good. I am a mashed potato snob and I really like the mashed potatoes here. I have been known to unashamedly steal forkfuls off my husband's plate when his entree comes with mashed potatoes and mine does not. You can get a well-portioned dinner for 2 here for about 20 -25 dollars plus a tip (if you drink water). There is plenty of parking and while it is always busy here, we've never had to wait for a table.

What's not to like? The food is good and it's cheap! I don't know what witchcraftery they incorporate into their coffee, but it's good, strong and better than a vast majority of other restaurant coffees. The kielbasa is juicy and renders in your mouth... get it grilled! Go on Thursday for the German tomato soup. You'll want one of their lovely desserts, but will never be able to cram it into your yaps after the meal you'll have.

I have never eaten anything bad here ever. The tomato sauce on the stuffed cabbage soup makes it the best non-homemade stuffed cabbage I have ever had. The cabbage soup is ah-mazing, order a bowl of that with some pierogis, you are walking out a happy camper.

What can I say if you're not going to polish village in Hamtramck and you're on this side of town this is about your only choice and definitely a good one I am by far a fan of the soup all of them are spot on and definitely tastes like Sunday and grandma's kitchen the prices are more than fair for the portions you get although I was not happy with the stuff cabbage but I am pretty critical when there is too much rice for a filler all in all if you're craving polish there's nowhere else to go close by
