Ironwood Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I've been here on multiple occasions for lunch, dinner or just drinks and I have always left pleased. It is good for business lunches, dinner dates and drinks while watching "the game." The food is good, nothing crazy, but their pepperoni cheese bread is delicious! It gets LOUD and BUSY... But is is a bar and grill! So, that is honestly to be expected. If you are looking for a low-key, quiet, family restaurant... This is not the place for you (and they don't advertise it as such). Regardless of how busy it is, I have always had great service!

Saturday mid afternoon dinner. First time visit not bad. Service okay. I thought steak fries were thick cut but not here, they looked like most all fries, unimpressed. Bathrooms dirty and a bit warm inside. Probably shouldn't have window wall open on days like that.

I had a better visit this time. I got the thin crust pepperoni pizza and split it with my wife---it was excellent. I also had a cup of the cheese/ broccoli soup which was very tasty. The house cab wine was good and reasonably priced. Courtney L. did a perfect job of serving, but if you want her you better hurry because she is having a baby soon.

Took a business partner there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Of course it was raining sports with everything from Golf to Cricket on TV. Everything seemed to be going good. And then our server... vanished. We both ran dry on our beverages... and it had us looking around for our server and wondering just what we had done wrong. About 10 minutes later, she finally shows up, and asking us if we would like a refill. Ummm... yeah? Given the fact it had almost been a half hour from when we ordered our food, and there was no sign of it anywhere. Almost an hour later, our food finally arrived. An HOUR. It wasn't that busy.. . it was a Sunday afternoon, no line at the door, many open tables everywhere... it was just downright disappointing. Yes, the food was good, but just for the fact that if I knew that I was going to have to wait an hour to get it... I would have went elsewhere. A little tactic to have us to buy more adult beverages? Maybe... but I didn't appreciate the wait. I had things to get done.

Bad waitress!! Hasn't stopped by our table for a good 30 minutes. Our drinks are empty. Sad to see this is how the service is here. Get better staff.

Average bar fare and drinks. In the summer it can be nice because all the windows open up which gives it a nice open-air feel. Fine place for a casual meal and drink, but nothing special.

While the food was decent, the portion sizes are on the small side. The food was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. Overall, the restaurant is loud. We were there on a weekday at 7pm, and it was packed. Once the crowd died down, we still couldn't hear each other speak as the multiple tv's around the bar were turned up too loud. This all would have been acceptable had the service not been so bad. After waiting 30 minutes to be seated, we waited at least another 20 before we went up to the bar ourselves and asked for a server for our table. The bartender brought us water, which seemed to spur our real server into action, but there was no explanation or apology for our wait. The food came out in spurts, with the side dishes coming out 10 minutes after the entrees. All in all, I'm glad I was there with good company, because the service and the atmosphere were abysmal.

Service good Pizza that I had was good place is real clean and waitresses are excellent

I really feel as if this menu is for the average joe, there is no diversity to it's price points and it's quality. Tho it's diversity is there for the menu items; Just my thought. They deliver a okay pie, not pizza e vino / cellar 849 by no means, but all these pies cost as much as 848??? Anyways, good spot for a casual low impression culinary experience. Sorry to sound snooty , but AQUA Plymouth has kinda set the standard around this neck of the woods...... Their chef I've met twice and is EXTREMELY top notch.

Great, quick service and large menu. The restaurant appeared busy for a Saturday night, but we were seated within 5 minutes--not even long enough to have a beer at the bar. Our server got to the table quickly, despite the restaurant being packed, and our drinks, app, salads, and meals were all perfectly timed. The menu is huge & everything looks good. We didn't get to try a lot, it was only 2 of us. We ordered hummus as an appetizer, and for meals: half slab of ribs and the Mediterranean salad with chicken. Everything was delicious. We plan on going back and trying their pizza next time.

This place gets crowded. A bit loud. But, friendly, lots of RBS, a bit of and Irish thing going. Food is bar food. Steak was good (surprisingly).

I find myself always coming here.. Just for their mouthwatering honey BBQ wings! My boyfriend loves the jalapeño burger- I didn't find it spicy enough. Looks like I'm writing reviews for the both of us! service is always quick here, even on the busiest day with 10 games going on. This is my go to place every time I'm in DTP.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!! Our neighbors had been here and insisted we come try it with them. It was a Friday night and crowded; we got our names on the list and waited at the bar rail. A waitress came to take drink orders; I ordered a beer, she asked if I wanted a large or a pint. I ordered a pint. A few minutes later the waitress shows up with the drinks and leaves. In front of me was an enormous glass of beer. I flagged down the waitress and asked her what 'size' of beer it was. She said it was a large; I told her I ordered a small (pint). She said, "I KNOW. DO YOU WANT ME TO EXCHANGE IT FOR A SMALL?" What? Did I hear her correctly? I order a small and she decides what I really needed was a LARGE? Was she hoping I'd just drink it and pay the HIGHER PRICE? Was she hoping that because the place was crowded and hectic and because we were busy talking with our companions that I wouldn't notice? Before you say it was an honest mistake, please re-read what I just wrote: She KNEW I ordered a small and decided on her own to spend MY money. Unforgivable and dishonest. This is one of the most outrageous examples of thievery I've yet experienced in a restaurant. If you take the risk to visit/eat here, double-check your bill to make sure you don't get fleeced.

The food here is amazing! I work in the area so I grab lunch here once a week! My company has had several gathering here as well! I am NOT calamari fan normally but here the Fried calamari appetizer is amazing. The Southwest chicken salad is one of my favorites and I normally share with a friend. The pizza is really great as well. Ironwood has a great beer selection on tap....several local beers! Don't expect to come here and have a quiet date night. This is a nice sports bar with an upbeat atmosphere.

A bit loud in here but very good food and service. The California Reuben was really good : )

Good food. Always busy. At night it's a major pick up joint. If you like to people watch, this is your place.

  • Carie G.

We're regulars. One of our go-to places to eat. For a date with my husband or with kids- great. Lots of choices, great food. Good service. Enough said.

    (5)
  • Kelly B.

I have only tried a few things here, because I found my favorite and have not strayed since. The most recent visit we sat outside on a Friday evening and had the opportunity to people watch - lots of fun! Lunch is usually busy but quiet enough to chat or work on a project with your dining companion. Thursday nights in the winter you will need to scream over the table to your friends to compete with the people noise and the live music. Loved the calamari, and the salads are really good - but my favorite is the create your own thin crust pizza. Make mine with goat cheese, caramelized onion and sundried tomatoes - I ask for it well done, so that it has crispy crust - yum! The weekends will bring a longer wait for a table, but in downtown Plymouth, especially in warmer weather, that will happen no matter where you go.

  • Amie W.

Decent variety on their menu. What you read on the menu tends to be better than what you actually get. Nothing too special about the food. The service is good and it's an ok place if you are in dtp and want to get a bite to eat.

    (3)
  • Adam G.

My favorite place to go in dtp. Always had a $3 draft be 22oz. Special. Love the tender loin app. I recommend splitting most entres add they are big. Friendly for kids. If you have to wait get a buzzer, it will work for a decent distance away

Ironwood has a nice mix of menu items, most well prepared, but no, you will not leave Ironwood saying, "Wow, that is the best pizza/burger/steak that I've ever had." And guess what, that's just fine. It's a very nice establishment in a nice community. It's a cool date night place, watch the game place, or family place. Suit and tie or shorts and flip flops. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, great bar area with seating (in the warmer months) both outdoors and by huge, open front windows. It advertises to be a sports bar, and doesn't disappoint in the number and quality of TVs. It's easy to slam a place based on one visit and poor service, a poor meal, etc. I've visited on multiple occasions at different times and over all, find this place hard to dislike.

    (4)
  • Maureen M.

I've been to the Ironwood several times for beer and food. We usually go right around happy hour. It's not usually too busy because we beat the crowds, or go on a not-so-busy day. The bar area by the windows is pretty cool. It's nice to have such open air and enjoy the breeze without sitting outside. I need shade thanks to having such fair skin. The rest of the place is nicely laid out as well. Unfortunately, the service seems to always sort of suck. They're slow and not very attentive. During our last visit, we sat by the windows. We waited....and waited...and waited. Finally, the bartender came over to get our drink orders & said she'd have a waitress come over. We finally saw our waitress when we were ready to order our 2nd beer. We ordered chips & salsa as well. When she brought the chips & salsa, we didn't get any napkins or plates. I had to use the napkins from the drinks because she disappeared. The chips & salsa were meh. The chips were kind of stale, and the salsa didn't have much flavor. I don't think I've ever been really impressed with their food. We usually just go here for a couple of beers. It's a good spot in Downtown Plymouth. If it wasn't for location & the atmosphere, we'd probably go somewhere else.

Attire stated casual. We walk in and get kicked out because my boyfriend doesn't have sleeves on his shirt? Ridiculous. Zero stars.

  • Joe B.

I'm right at about 3.5 stars with this place, but given it was what I needed when I found it I'm leaning towards 4 stars here. After a short stint at 336 I needed something a little less DJ beats and martinis and something a little more beer and shots with a chill vibe. We rolled in here around 1230 am and grabbed a spot. Service was prompt and friendly and the crowd was probably dying out a little but it was still a fun crowd. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place and to be fair, it's usually a mob scene when I'm passing by but on this particular night it was relaxed and fun...the beer was cold and above par and the shots were enormous! I'd come back here and I'd like to try the food sometime...the kitchen looked interesting!

  • Chad S.

Probably the best place to watch a big sporting event in downtown Plymouth. For sure has the most TV's. I've had ribs, pizza, chicken fingers, pulled pork, salads, nachos and everything is just ok. Nothing special on the menu, haven't had anything that wasn't good, just isn't memorable. Buffalo chix sandwich is best thing I've orderd and that is really good. Fries just ok. Atmosphere is 5 stars especially in the summer time when they open all the windows, small patio as well. Often times there can be a wait. Likely the most popular place in downtown Plymouth.

    (3)
  • Audrey P.

Decent selection of food and it's prepared well, BUT, the portion sizes are a little small (especially for the price). I am by NO means a big eater. Wait staff is always very courteous and on top of everything.

  • Joe V.

I'm somewhere between a 2 and a 3 on this place. I've eaten here a few times and I'm not impressed with the food. The French Dip sandwich is underwhelming and at $8 the Chicken Caesar Wrap was a wallet-buster. There is not a whole lot of chicken in the wrap - and the chicken that was in there was SO dry. I felt like I was chewing on coagulated sawdust. Mmm...nothing says "satisfying" like some coagulated sawdust. I wouldn't be opposed to trying some other stuff on the menu. It seems like some people have had good experiences, but I'm not one of them. I guess I'll be avoiding the sandwiches and wraps from here on out to say the least. Anyway, this place isn't bad if you are coming here just to drink. For the most part, the drinks are decently priced. It can be a good place to come with a group. It gets crowded on the weekend, so you need to plan for that if you're coming with any more than a group of 5-6.

Pretty alright place for grub, in a nice, comfortable setting. We were eagerly awaiting the opening of Ironwood several years ago, so when it finally did we stopped by immediately. I like the feel of the bar, kindof stark with large TVs and colorful lights. We stayed for dinner and drinks, and enjoyed the perch (me) and DH had the ribs. He found them to be pretty good for *a bar*, tender with a nicely flavored crust. I have to say I do enjoy their fish, the coating is not too heavy, or greasy for that matter. Salads are good, and so are most of their sides (although they are pretty tiny). Their burgers look good when walking past our table, but we have not yet tried them here. At a recent event we sampled Ironwood pizza, and were pleasantly surprised. They also brought in hummus (okay) and a satisfactory spinach dip (I would probably order this!). My husband enjoys their chicken wings as well. All in all a solid place for food. If you are the type of person that enjoys a busy, bustling place with sports on many screens, you will enjoy Ironwood. If you like pizza in the comfort of your couch, I can recommend picking one up!

Great atmosphere! Pizza, salads, hummus & many other meals we've tried has been very good! A bit pricey but what do expect in plymouth.

This restaurant was fine. If you ever feel like a bar is lacking on TVs then this would be perfect for you since there is more visual stimulation in this bar then you could ever need. The waitress talked up the in-house smoking so I decided to try the brisket. To my shock the kitchen cut the brisket the wrong and I was served 4 leathery straps of meat. The meat itself was cooked fine but this is food prep 101. I didn't have the energy to make a fuss so I didn't send it back...but I have no desire to go back to a place that displays such a lack of knowledge about food.

We went here for the first time because we were in the area. We were very happy with everything. The boys were very happy with their barbeques and ribs, and my stuffed Portobello was great. There are definitely enough good options for all sorts of diet needs. There are dessert options that are actually made in house or locally that are great. We'll be back next time we're in the area and will try the pizza.

There are some seriously good things about Ironwood, and they keep us coming back. The not-so-good things... well, we just remember not to order them again, or not show up at 7:30pm on a Saturday and become shocked there's a 45 minute wait. So... the really good stuff? Let's start with the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. We get it every single time. I think about it in between our visits. Four large tempura-battered shrimp on skewers with sweet/spicy Thai chili and sriracha dipping sauces. Damn, they're yummy! Next up, their dirty martini comes with Belvedere vodka. I've prided myself on not trying Belvedere because I know I'll love it, and I'm trying really, really hard not to be a snoot. But when its the vodka that comes in the drink... well, I'm not gonna turn it down and ask for a Smirnoff sub!! Needless to say, I get this damn martini every single time too (sometimes two - don't judge!). We enjoyed their BLT Neapolitan pizza our last visit. Fresh, plentiful toppings. Nice crust. I've also liked their Key Lime Salmon, but mostly for the mango salsa and the copious amount of corn bread I received as one of my side choices. I'm not always a salmon fan, but this was a tasty main dish. The Beef Brisket is OK (not smoky or lean enough for me). The house-made Spinach Artichoke Dip app is also OK (but doesn't hold a candle to those damn shrimp). The wait can be maddening. The parking - we still haven't mastered where to park in downtown Plymouth, so this can also be maddening. It's loud. It's hipster-ish. But we keep coming back...

I went here recently while visiting Plymouth for a local fair and festival. This is my second visit. They have good food and a great beer selection. It is also a great place for watching your favorite game as TV's are prevalent all over the bar. It can get a little crowded in the evenings but there is seating indoor and out.

I absolutely looooved the Ironwood Grill. Our waitress was Lauren (I think). I went here with my boyfriend 3 weeks ago and had a fantastic time. Seated right away by a friendly staff, played trivia, and the manager seemed to be greeting every guest. The only reason for 4 stars is because my boyfriend's steak was a bit tough. I had the pulled pork dinner with onion rings. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT! I you get a salad, their house balsamic is THE BEST I've ever tasted in my life. Lauren even got us 2 containers of it to take home with our leftovers. I was so mad at myself after we left because I forgot to grab the boxes of food and dressing. :( Don't worry though, Ironwood. I will definitely be back!

I've been going to ironwood grill for years and lately the bouncer staff has been unfriendly. They are the first faces you see upon entering and could use some lessons in customer service. I understand the need for bouncers but they can tone down the "power trip" and be nicer to good customers.

Came here on Friday night with my wife on our first downtown Plymouth date night since moving to Canton, and we had heard good things about this place (we passed it by at Ice Fest). Obviously Friday night at 8:30PM, there was about a half hour wait, so I put our names in for 9PM and we headed down to 336 Main for some Martinis. Came back at 9 and was perfectly on time as our pager went off once we stepped back into range. We got a high top and it was right by the open kitchen. A really nice set up, not the biggest place by far, but lots of quality HD tv's with lots of sports programming on. Loud, but, when is it not loud at peak time? We had the calamari appetizer and it was quite delicious... hot and fresh, not too chewy, and both sweet chili sauce and marinara. Price was 8.95 i think. But it came fast as well. Also had a blue moon and my wife had a seasonal pumpkin ale that was quite refreshing. We split the BBQ Beef Brisket with fries and potato salad and it was not that good... the beef brisket was kind of falling apart, but still had some gristle throughout the entire thing. Definitely wasn't horrible, but I would not order again. Fries were good and hot, potato salad was oddly tart for some reason (too much vinegar i think). Next time we are going to try the deep dish pizza... it looked REALLY good. Pros- not as highly priced as the nearby fine dining establishments, good beer selection, plenty of tv's for sports viewing. Cons- very busy during peak period, poor BBQ beef, felt kind of rushed as there were people sitting and waiting for a table staring at us eat, and not the best side dish options. Overall, I would try it one more time...if the deep dish pizza is no good next time, then we will skip this place for somewhere less trendy.

Went out to eat here last night, and it ended up being a great choice. We've walked through downtown Plymouth quite a bit and I've always wanted to try it. We walked in around 7:30pm on a Friday night and the place was rocking, but there was only me and the wife so we got seated immediately. The waitress was quick on and we had our drinks in no time... We ordered the lettuce wraps for an appetizer. It came within 10 minutes, and for a $9+ appetizer, thought with would have more filler for the lettuce (they gave us a 1/2 head of lettuce). We had approx 3 small wraps each and there was more than half the lettuce left. Our salads came and they were very good also, but small. Then our pizza came, we ordered a Neapolitan Veggie Deluxe. It was a 10" thin crust pizza with 6 slices, but man, was it tiny. It tasted great, so being so small, it was a bummer!! The bill came to the mid 30's which isn't bad, but I wasn't stuffed. That was the only downfall as the atmosphere, service and menu was totally awesome!!

everything I've ordered here has been good. My advice - Try the Big Kahuna pizza. My credit card was once overcharged here, but the restaurant took care of it once I pointed it out.

I picked up my girlfriend from the airport and we met my friend for a late dinner. The wait was reasonable for a Friday night, the service was decent, the food was good, and the beer special was Octoberfest. The only bad part is there is no parking lot, and it is hard to find street parking anywhere. I'll go back if I can park my car. TVs are everywhere.

I don't normally like to review places based on one negative experience as I think it leads to an unfair rating, but after my most recent visit I feel compelled. Been here about five times total. 4/5 times the service has been slow. My most recent visit was mostly just extremely poor service. I find that being a server has lead me to be more critical when I go out of the service being received. Was around 8:45 on a Wednesday night, with Trivia. My girlfriend and I ordered a mojito, a fuzzy navel and asked if they had regular chips and salsa as the only item that's listed on the menu is Mango and Avocado Salsa for $6.95, the server said yes and she got put in the order for just chips and regular salsa. For our second round of drinks we ordered a Summer Shandy and a Baked Alaska drink which came in the form of a shot, essentially. We stayed throughout trivia-- so until about 11:00. With that whole scenario there was no real big issue besides the slow service. The problem came when the bill arrived: For what we ordered, the server had rang up a bill totaling something like $38.00. She had: (2) Vodka Well..... $11.50 Rocks................ $?? (1) Mojito.............. $7.00 (1) Peach Schnp.. $4.25 (1) Mango and Avoc Salsa.. $6.95 (1) Sum Shandy... $3.00 (1) Baked Alaska.. $4.75 Now, it very well could be that it had been an innocent mistake. But when I asked her why we were charged for three drinks instead of just a Fuzzy Navel her response was hesitant and kind of like, "Oh, oops." Again, could have been an accident, of course. And we also asked if we were correctly being charged for the regular chips and salsa at $6.95. She said she would take off one of the vodkas and the peach schnapps and ask the manager about the chips and salsa price. She came back, with the bill adjusted to $28.87, having taken off the two drinks she said she would, but told us that the manager said the price of the chips and salsa stayed. She also left the the Rocks item on there, for which there is normally an upcharge at most restaurants. A fuzzy navel is not on the rocks traditionally, we didn't order it on the rocks, and the drink didn't COME on the rocks! So, by this point I was a little put off by the slow service and interesting charges... I paid with two $20.00 bills and once she finally got my change she only gave me $11.00 back, no coinage that ought to have been appropriately given. Now, $.13 is NOT a big deal. But it is simply the principle of the thing... I was taught and continue to teach other servers at the restaurant I work at, and it seems to be common knowledge, NEVER to short any guest, even just a penny! I was a bit dumbfounded. For unreasonably slow service, poor server etiquette, being triple-and-miss charged for a drink, and being charged $6.95 for Tostitos chips and salsa that probably comes out of a Pace-1-gallon container, I think I'm pretty much done here... I've given it it's fair chances, I think! Train the staff better.

It offers a pretty nice atmosphere with sufficient TVs and a nice selection at the bar. My family mostly orders take-out from here and we love it! It gets packed pretty quickly and as other reviewers have mentioned, parking is kind of a problem--but we can't fault the restaurant. Try the wings! They're HUGE and you get a lot of them for the $. Our fav is the Thai Chili. Enjoy!

  • Liz W.

I keep meaning to review it here as I have been fairly frequently with family members, my mom especially likes it. My dad thinks its a bit overpriced and small portioned on sides. I think he orders wrong. I like this place much better for apps, salads and sandwiches than for anything more ambitious. The pizza I had was meh and the BBQ ribs and brisket were just ok. The apps have all been great. The nachos are big and versatile with numerous choices of meat topping. The tuna sashimi was surprisingly fresh and good. The calamari was quite tasty with a bit of sriracha. I like the thai chili chicken wings and the similar firecracker shrimp. The cajun tendertoin tips over mashed potatoes with onion straws is a perfect lunch portion for me. I liked the strawberry basil chicken salad, the caprese salad and the shimp avocado and cucumber salad I have ordered myself on seperate occasions. All are nice picks. My mom enjoys the asian chicken salad a lot and it has been consistently tasty during my numerous bites. The cajun salmon sandwich is truly terrific. I have also had small samples of the pulled pork sammie, cheesesteak and a french dip and all were a-ok but I still tend towards salads myself. Waitstaff has been decent but nothing memorable. Atmosphere is nice enough. Prices are a bit high depending and portion sizes can vary somewhat with tiny cups for sides which is a bit meh. That being said it is very convenient to my parent's place so that is always a plus. Worth a stop in. I'd give it a solid three and a half.

Not sure I would go back. Have walked by several times and decided to try for first time last night. Service seem prompt at first but continually slowed as time went by. The hummus platter was very good. We had the perch dinner and buffalo chicken sandwich. When the food arrived the waitress said she knew there was still a side to come but wanted to get our meals out to us (I had barely finished my salad). Well after one bite it was obvious the meals had been sitting. Lukewarm at best. The perch was bland, although the dill tarter sauce helped. Onion rings same way. The side of sweet potato tarter tots arrived shortly and they were very hot and tasty. Took waitress quite some time to return with check after credit card was presented. She seemed put out because we did not want dessert.

Went for restaurant week. The place was packed but we were seated immediately because we made reservations. We had a really good service and really good food. Tall beers were cheap! Even though it's a sports bar with TVs they were all on mute so they didn't drown out your conversation. Food portions were in enormous and we had to bring boxes home. Prices were reasonable. Our group tried many different dishes and they were all very good. I really liked my fried perch and tuna sashimi. The fried calamari and the accompanying Thai sweet sauce was excellent. Although the sweet potato fries were cooked well they were not seasoned well.

I'm definitely a fan of Ironwood. It's like a classy, trendy sports bar. When I still ate meat, I ordered the BBQ wings. I never had better wings than at this place! Now that I'm vegan, there are still plenty of options for me, including excellent salads, pizza creations, and the kick-ass hummus salad wrap. You HAVE to try to sweet potato fries! Every time I've been there I've been seated as quickly as possible and my waitress has always been super friendly, nice, and efficient. Great place to go with friends, especially if you're into watching sports and eating amazing food.

Ventured into Ironwood on one of the first beautiful days in Spring due to their floor to ceiling open windows. We were seated quickly, served water and asked the waitress to give us a minute or two to decide on our meal. Ten minutes later...menus closed, as a hint that we were ready to order/eat, we were still waiting for our waitress to take our orders. When the waitress finally decided to end her gossip session with the other waitresses, my sister and I both ordered the hummus wrap with chicken ($2 extra) and fries ($2 extra). The food actually quickly...unfortunately the wraps were horribly bland. I didn't bother finishing my cole slaw or the wrap because they were so blah. Our waitress arrived to clear our plates and asked if I wanted a to-go box. I told her that the food was extremely bland and disappointing and that I definitely didn't need to take the leftovers home. She asked if my sister felt the same way about her wrap and my sister agreed. I know the waitress didn't make the wrap, but she could have at least offered us an apology. Plates cleared, drinks gone...and another ten minute wait for our check. At 3:15 PM on a Thursday with a handful of other diners, I expect service to be better. Considering we expressed our disappointment in the food, I was surprised that the waitress didn't bother comp'ing anything on the bill (honestly, I would've been happy if she had just comp'ed my chicken as an apology). Ironwood Grill = total fail. Don't waste your time or money there. There are plenty of other places in Plymouth to please your palate!

This place is a regular stop for us. Pros: Good food! Their pizzas - deep dish and thin crust - are tasty. Their beers are the coldest in town. Great place to watch a game. Cons: They have very few vegetarian options, so I often end up paying full price for a meal minus the meat.

Ironwood grill is a great sports bar with pretty good food in the area. The tuna sashimi appetizer always tastes good with a little kick to them. The steak salad is my favorite dish to order because it's steak on a salad for a pretty fair price. Pizza is decent and you'll see a lot of them ordered. It's not the best pizza on earth but you should be happy if you order it. This is one of the best places to watch sports. It gets crowded for big games and there are a TON of really nice big HD TVs and they usually have all of the major events showing. Beer of the month offers a 22oz. pilsner typically for a great price and they have a standard full bar with a few top shelf options. The bar tenders are great and friendly. This place gets busy Friday and Sat night. So expect a bit of a wait. But the wait staff has always been great and they are experienced enough to handle the rushes. I always felt attended to. Great neighborhood. One that you would not expect in a small downtown like DTP that is ever growing and expanding.

This place is terrific for the sports enthusiast. Great viewing, terrific beer selections and for the price the food is terrific. The menu is very diverse and has a multiple of dishes to choose from. I've read very few complaints, and those negative ones are expecting "Capital Grille" quality for cheap prices. I've been here many times and will continue to do so! Staff is very friendly, prompt, and curtious. I highly recommend.

Extremely RUDE hostesses. If this is how potential customers are treated when they walk thru the door, and I'd hate to see how the servers and Management are. Never ate here, and NEVER will.

Decent place to watch a game. An ok place to go for drinks after work but not my favorite place. The pizza is pretty good, I also like the nachos, everything else on the menu is forgettable - especially the pulled pork which tastes like it was frozen and microwaved. Service is usually decent. They are often busy and it can get a bit loud when the place is full.

I would rank it zero if it was an option. We called 2 days ahead to indicate that a large party of 16 would be stopping in on a Sat afternoon. When we arrived there they wouldn't seat us and the manager was actively walking around telling the servers not to help us after the first round... Dislike.

Staff is young, unknowledgable and off-putting. For $11 + you get a Totino's size frozen pizza. (not exaggerating--SOO disappointing!) Chicken lettuce wrap app is soy based stir-fry and grilled chunks of chicken. Half a head of lettuce is given. Tuna sashimi is also overpriced considering the amount and quality (I would put money down that it's frozen). Their 'BBQ' (in quotations on purpose) tastes like plastic and is overpriced. Drinks are expensive even for Plymouth. It's not like my experience happened in one night. I've given this place many chances and it always lives up to it's normal disappointment. Will be surprised if this place stays open for another 3 years.

We went a couple of times when this place first opened and loved it...things have changed. We attempted to eat here a couple of weeks ago. The teen hostesses asked our names but did not even tell us there was a wait or how long it would be. We realized they weren't planning to seat us as we were left standing in the doorway for 10 minutes and finally said "forget it" and left. A week later, we tried again. (The decor of the place really does pull you in with the wall of windows that open onto a downtown Plymouth street.) This time, we got a table but they were still super busy and it was SUPER loud in there! I couldn't wait to finish my meal so we could leave! Furthermore, the t.v.'s were playing FOX news (with the volume up) which seemed odd for a restaurant / sports bar / whatever they are trying to be. Luckily, I could not actually hear the t.v. - it just added to the babble of background noise. The food was not great and the service was slow. We won't be going back!

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Plymouth and have been trying a lot of new places. This, by far, is one of our favorite hangouts. It is almost always packed, so be prepared to wait during dinner hours. Their Michigan Harvest salad is wonderful, but pretty much everything I have tried has been awesome. My boyfriend loves their homemade pizza. The service is also outstanding. While waiting for a table, there is always a server offering us drinks (they have an awesome drink menu). When ordering dinner, I made the server aware of my gluten allergy and actually had the manager come over to let me know the kitchen takes all the proper measurements when dealing with any type of allergy, which made me feel very safe. I would definitely stop in here if you haven't already!

So sad that Plymouth can't get it right. I won't bore you with my thoughts on the cheesy decor/sign/menus, I'll focus on the cuisine. The menu is fairly diverse, which is usually code for not being able to any one thing well. Most recently, I ordered pulled pork nachos. I was excited to dive into a plate of crispy chips, covered in melted cheddar cheese and dressed with tomatoes, red onions, jalepenos, pulled pork, guacamole, and pico. Instead, I got a glob of hardened cheese on stale chips. I seriously thought the tomatoes were apples and when I mentioned this to the manager, he lauged at me. My husband ordered a salad with a balsamic vinegarette. It was so congealed when it came to the table. We questioned a server about it. She said the recipe changed and it was ginger. Ummm, no. It was repulsive. ' Save your money and go elsewhere. Too bad.

I live in Plymouth and I think this is a must go restaurant here. I have been there many times. Great for game nights or just by yourself. We always order the full slab of BBQ'D smoked ribs with double sweet potato fries, and the mango salsa appatizer and share between the two of us. The ribs and sweet potato fries combo is the bomb!

Busy place. Long wait for pizza but when it came it was nothing short of amazing. Brick oven. Great flavor. Perfectly cooked and not at all burned. I would come out of my way to have this pizza again.

3.5 stars would be given if Yelp allowed it. Good pizza, salads and wrap sandwiches. Pretty decent beer selection as well. Please do not come here for the smokehouse dishes. They have that freshly reheated microwave appeal going on. Pretty bland ribs and pulled pork. As other reviewers have mentioned, the actual smoking process and flavor seems to be M.I.A. Good service and attentive staff.

I am regular at Ironwood and it's consistently good food and a good experience. As far as sports bars go, this is a good casual spot. The smoked chicken is like no chicken I've ever had, the sashimi appetizer is amazing, the BBQ is good (while not spectacular), and the pizzas are also pretty tasty. It is definitely ABOVE average for sports bar food. The drinks are also good. They have a large selection of beer on draft and fully stocked bar (great bloody marys by the way). Lots of big TVs and they're always playing the big games. The wait and bar staff are always friendly, prompt and reliable. If you've been somewhere over a dozen times and keep going back, it's definitely at least a 4 star in my book.

I went again a couple weeks ago with two women friends. I had the best salad that was too big to finish. For a lunch with friends, I'll go for sure. Not my choice for a dinner out with a date but if someone suggests it, I'll go with them.

MISSING: Smoke. Last seen at a restaurant other than the Ironwood Grill... Last month, I met an individual while waiting in line for the release of the iPad who works at the Ironwood Grill as a cook. During the course of our conversation, he told me that the Ironwood Grill smokes their meat with apple wood for long periods of time. This gave me the impression that this establishment was serious about how they executed their BBQ. Coming away from the conversation, I was very excited to dine at the Ironwood Grill because hey - who doesn't like good BBQ? Unfortunately, as my good friend and I found out last evening, what I was told and what is the reality of how the Ironwood Grill prepares their 'BBQ' are two totally different things. The reality: the Ironwood Grill does not smoke their meat. This fact runs counter to what I was told by the cook who works there, the sign outside the entrance that states 'Smokehouse BBQ' and to a statement in the printed menu that claims 'slow cooked and smoked with apple wood'. If Ironwood Grill did smoke their meat as they claimed, there would have been a visible pink smoke ring near the outer edge of the meat and the meat would have had a smokey flavor to it. I ordered the BBQ Platter. This meal consisted of pulled pork, brisket and ribs plus two sides. I opted for the sweet potato fries and cole slaw. My impressions are as follows: The pulled pork seemed to me to be of an institutional buffet variety that had an aftertaste of cardboard or paper. When slathered in the BBQ sauce, the pulled pork was the most edible of the three meats. The brisket was akin to a very chewy pot roast and reminded me of a section cut from a thick leather strap. Even with a generous amount of BBQ sauce, the brisket was still bland and quite a chore to chew. As noted in a review previous to mine, the ribs were inedible. The meat was extremely 'porky' and something was really off as to the way the ribs tasted. I could detect strange hints of pepper or some other seasoning - evidence a funky rub perhaps? The sides were pedestrian with the sweet potato fries overshadowing the cole slaw in terms of taste (and from reading other reviews, the sweet potato fries seem to be a consistent favorite of other patrons who haven dined at the Ironwood Grill). It was the BBQ sauce that was the best part of the meal... It stood out and had some character. Sadly to say it tasted like it could have been a doctored up version of a sauce from the Stubbs brand of BBQ sauces. I will never patronize the Ironwood Grill again based my dining experience and their wholly inaccurate claims of how they prepare their BBQ - how shameful and utterly misleading. Fellow diners and BBQ lovers beware!

For BBQ in MI (I'm from Texas) it's not bad. Now, I'm not saying it's Texas BBQ OK, I'm just saying the food here is pretty good and the portions are large and the service is good. No outside seating which most Plymouth eaters like.

My husband and I dined here for the first time last Friday night. It was packed! (1 hour wait) Great for people watching. I guess it's the new local watering hole -as I ran into the guy that printed my mini- portfolios from Alphagraphics. We also saw a table of Ron's co-workers for an after work meeting. The food is reasonably priced. around $25 for dinner for two and 3 blue moons. We ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich, side of sweet potato fries and coleslaw. WOW. I was impressed! Simple, yet delish! The coleslaw was probably the best I've ever had. crisp, prefect sweetness, and crunchy! I typically do not eat coleslaw, and never have finished what ever was given to me. Either that, or the hour wait made everything taste better that it really was. and the sweet potato fries were hot and crispy! Yeah for their sweet potato fries! I've tried many, from all over to compare. I think the yum yum tree and seva are still the top two, but these come in a close third. I was impressed. =) My husband wanted to have dinner there again today! To try their fresh pizza! We had the Margaherita pizza on the thin crust. It was perfect size for the both of us. and was it tasty! The crust was thin and crispy, the tomatoes were cut into bit-sized morsels and topped with fresh basil. We definitely would order it again! The wait staff can kick it up a notch. I understand Friday night cause it was busy. Being slow on Monday was no excuse, yet again, the place filled up for a Monday evening. We were glad to see this new business booming with customers. all in all, we'd come again and be proud to invite our friends along. =) wow. after reading this and revising, I used "crispy" to describe 3 totally different foods! Guess I am a texture lover!

Crazy wait times due to the poor staff even though tables are open. After 40 minute wait, with open tables the entire time, the service was just as bad. Plan for three ours between the wait to be seated and the slow service. Great place to go if you want to watch a complete game, you will have the time.

Don't get the Asian Chicken Salad which advertises the very first ingredient as Napa cabbage. You will be served 90 percent Romaine lettuce and 10 percent Napa cabbage, and then the bouncer moonlighting as a restaurant manager (looks like he misses his old bouncer job) will stare you into agreeing that you read the menu wrong. Not an enjoyable meal.

I was impressed with the atmosphere & decor..but we ate there just a couple of months ago & I can't even remember any details about the food. For me, this is very unusual! I had pizza, which was decent, but not spectacular. We will probably give it another shot...if it stays open.

Some Facts: * The Ironwood Grill's menu advertises that their barbecue entrees are 'Slow Cooked and Smoked with Apple Wood'...legalese style phrasing for sure. Curious. * The Ironwood Grill's sign says 'smokehouse barbecue'. * A friend of mine spoke to one of the cooks here and he stated that they smoked their meats. But after visiting the Ironwood Grill, I can attest that no smoke ever came anywhere near any of the pulled pork, beef brisket, or pork ribs that I tried. And they mention dry rubs on the menu...I'm assuming this is salt and pepper. None of the items had any of the distinctive, tell-tale pink smoke ring. The pulled pork was fine, soaked in barbecue sauce, but not smoky in the least. The beef brisket was incredibly dry, rather tough, and tasted simply like roast beef with barbecue sauce. The ribs were simply inedible. They had an incredibly odd taste that my fellow diner thought might have been an overabundance of pepper. All I know was that it was very unpleasant and something that a bunch of barbecue sauce couldn't hide. All of that doesn't necessarily need to be a problem...there are plenty of places that claim to serve barbecue, but never claim to be slow smoking. Lots of people are fine with that and enjoy those places...many of them chains. But as soon as you conjure the term 'smokehouse' and 'apple wood', you're claiming to be making authentic slow-smoked southern style barbecue. That's NOT what this was. I don't understand why diners in the Southeastern Michigan area know so little about authentic barbecue. There are just a few places that make authentic barbecue...and that means rubbing with flavorful rubs and slow smoking with real wood. That doesn't mean boiling or braising meat back to creation and smothering on some sauce. I'll also agree with another reviewer that said that the decor and atmosphere is very schizophrenic. It's a mish-mash of nice eatery, interesting bar, and (sadly) sports bar.

I have been here a couple times recently and haven't had a chance to review it until now. The atmosphere is nice and there are quiet a few tvs to watch the game. The beer list is pretty good and the wait staff is friendly. Its a little dark for my taste and at times can be hard to have a conversation. Of course that could have just been the group I was with.

I liked it!!! I have been to every place in Plymouth. IronWood- A fresh clean sports type bar/tavern with a different menu. 22 oz beers were 3.50 ,always a plus. Nice looking and friendly bartenders. The Tuna was very good. Calamari was very good, ribs were very good. Nice crowd with more energy that the above mentioned. Took some friends from out of town who LOVED it there. Had a corner table with nice views of Plymouth. Will be back. Having been here now at least every other week for drinks I usually sit at the bar. They have 2-3 really friendly female bartenders..but they have one who is just miserable!! If you see a bartender working with dark red hair go elsewhere..she acts put out whenever somebody asks for anything..never smiles and has zero personality. All of my friends who hang out there say the same thing..half the time they wil go somewhere else if she is working. How she ever ended up behind the bar there or in the service business is beyond me.

Last week I had dinner at the newest restaurant to open in Downtown Plymouth, the Ironwood Grill. It's a solid 3 out of 5 stars. The restaurant has the potential to be so much better, but it seems to be trying to please too many different groups of people. There are some really nice touches to the decor and at first it seems to have a hip, lounge sort of feel. Any then you notice the dozen and a half tv's all tuned to the Piston's game. It really kills the lounge feel. The food was so-so. Nothing special. I had the Smoked Pork Sandwich which came with sweet potato fries and baked beans. The pork was good, it was cooked properly, pulled well and was a respectable pork sandwich. It was not smoked though. This piece of meat had never been touched by smoke in it's life. The beans were straight from a can and weren't touched up at all. The sweet potato fries were really quite good though. All-in-all not what I was expecting for the price or the atmosphere they have tried to create. The Ironwood really needs to decide if it is a sports bar, a lounge or a "hip" restaurant. As long as it keeps trying to mix all three it is going to fail. Plymouth is filled with great restaurants, but there are far better values for in the area for sports bars, and there are nice lounges within a few blocks. The Ironwood needs to pick one thing and perfect it rather than attempt being all things to all people. Personally I hope they start by ditching the TV sets.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times, once for lunch, once for appetizers/drink, and once for dinner. I like the open-air feel to it when the windows are open, the night I went for appetizers it was around 9pm and they had this amazing singer, we had just planned on a quick drink but stayed to hear the music, and the great vocals. We had a window seat and enjoyed the view of Plymouth from there. I have to recommend the Chicken Quesadillas, Calamari, and chicken Caesar...all were excellent, especially liked the generous amount of veggies on the quesadillas. I went last Friday for dinner, we arrived for dinner minutes before 6pm and were able to get a seat with no wait, but noticed the crowd waiting for a table grew quite a bit by 7pm. Prices are reasonable, as are the drinks. The stone fired pizzas zipping by our table looked wonderful, i plan on going back to try one soon. Big screen TVs are everywhere playing different sports, but I can't remember hearing any of them, so the sound must be off on them, which is nice because you can actually hear the person you are with when they talk to you. One of the people with us was 21 and not familiar with draft beers and asked the waitress a few questions about offerings, the waitress came back a few minutes later and surprised her with some shot glasses of beer to taste, the Sam Adams was her favorite.

Since we live in the area, we eat here regularly. We really enjoy the location and ambiance. The bar is great and the many big screen tv's make it a good place to watch your favorite sport. The selection of beers is very good. The only negative is that their food is not as great as I would like. We have had mixed results trying a number of different items on the menu. Their Angus Burgers have been quite good. The smokehouse specials can be mixed -- sometimes they are wonderful, but occasionally too dry. However, for a local neighborhood pub, it is still one of our favorites.

Meh. That about sums it up. We were excited to see this place open, hoping for something to fill out the Plymouth downtown mix. I guess it fills a niche, but just not one I needed to be filled. It is actually a kind of bizarre mix of modern ultralounge, neighborhood sports bar, and slightly upscale eatery, all of which Plymouth has already. If you want a sense of the oil & water-don't-mix feel, check out the pic of the blue/purple bar back with the t.v.'s spanning the top. I'm not going to knock them for not having a restricted "still training the kitchen staff" menu (2 pages). It was actually pretty respectable, with burgers, pizzas & bbq. We were stopping of on a quick afternoon sneak-away date and settled for a shared pizza snack. The pizzas are currently limited to the Neopolitan cracker thin crust, which isn't in itself a bad thing, but this one wasn't executed very well, ie, thin indeed, but NOT crispy. Way oversauced and soggy except the 1" outside edge that wasn't topped. We got the Margherita (basil & mozzarella), which for $12.95, ought to have some of the fresh mozzarella they have to slice off of a ball. The basil was sparing, especially considering people who order this pizza like basil de facto. (Hint to management: green stuff good, food service mozzarella bad). This was basically a thin crust cheese pizza from Domino's - actually, I think Domino's is better (and half the price). A burger with a side of sweet potato crinkle cut fries walked by on the arm of a black clad server while we were finishing up, and we were wishing we had chosen another starting point on our route into their menu. Atmosphere, even on a half-full Black Friday shopping afternoon was smoky and LOUD. This visit was definitely not worth changing shirts over (I hate smelling other people's smoke on my clothes). They need to take a few of the too-many tv's down and substitute with an acoustic-friendly textured wall panel or two. Our server was fairly attentive and not solely concerned with upselling us, which is always a bonus in my book. She should learn the beer menu a bit better though (she suggested a Bud Light Golden Wheat as a proper substitute for empty keg of Blue Moon - huh?). Our Magic Hat IPA's set us back $3.50 - not bad. All in all, I guess we were hoping for more. I am sure there are going to people who rave about this place. It's just not for me, and we probably won't be back any time soon.

I've really been looking forward to the opening of this restaurant as someone who lives close to downtown Plymouth, but after a quick stop to the Ironwood Grill on a Monday evening, I'm not in a huge hurry to go back. The place was fairly dead, but that wasn't surprising for a Monday evening. I was surprised that it took a few stares to the bar staff to have someone come over to our table and get us menus, drink orders, etc. The restaurant is very dark, with main lighting coming from the huge TVs all around the bar and restaurant. It feels cold inside- not very welcoming. I tried the potato salad as a snack, and it was quite good. My friend tried one of their pizzas and seemed pleased. Overall, the restaurant feels like it's trying to be a classier Buffalo Wild Wings.

My fiance and I have been here a couple times before and decided to pop in tonight for a quick dinner. Personally I really like Ironwood, and think they have better quality menu offerings than Penn or Box Bars, and the beer selection is better than Penn as well. The wait staff has been very friendly on each visit and we have always felt well-attended to. Tonight was no different as our waitress was on point all evening, making sure our drinks were never empty, that our food came out nice and hot, and that despite her speed of service we never felt rushed. Although I've had a few other dishes there, I keep coming back for the deep dish pizza. Their sauce is quite tasty with just a hint of heat, and the cheese is always melted to perfection with just a bit of brown to the top. The crust is nice and crisp on the bottom, but the dough is still soft overall. Ironwood, to me, is a nicer, cleaner, more contemporary looking bar that serves better than bar-quality food, but still has a good drink selection. The prices are competitive for the area, if not a bit higher, but considering the very good service and tasty food, I don't mind paying a bit more.

Ironwood has became my new favorite place for lunch especially when I have friends who meet me for lunch. I've been here on a few difference occasions and truly have not had a bad lunch. I love the Chicken Terayki Sandwich! One occasion I went with two friends and we each got something different, but of course shared. I love the variety of the food and how great it all tastes. The sweet potato fries are some of the best I've had. I would definitely say that they are reasonably priced especially for the location in Downtown Plymouth. I want to try Ironwood out for dinner one night, but I'm a little nervous from the other reviews of how busy they get. Plus, depending on what Michigan sports team is playing that night, I can see why they get so busy. I also really want to try a pizza, but at lunch it's hard when not having the time to wait. I say take a chance and try them out. They have only gotten better with each time I have went in there. Keep up the good work!

I've eaten at all the Plymouth restaurants multiple times and this place is the worst of them all. The pizza's are worse then frozen, the nachos are worse then throwing chips on a plate with some shredded cheese and microwaving them. The staff is pretty (pretty inattentive). The only decent thing about this place is the view if you get a window seat.

The food and atmosphere are great. My favorite is the balsamic chicken pizza. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the rude staff. The hostesses have always been rude and we actually walked out once due to a rude hostess.

I keep trying this place every few months, since they opened, hoping it will somehow get better.....it didn't. I like the location, the open kitchen/dining room, and the street life/view - it's a fun place. But, the food standards are just plain LAZY. Ordered the hummus platter - I liked the pickles/peppers/asparagus in addition to the nice warm pita triangles. The Hummus was a fine puree, a bit loose and watery, but was decently flavored. For my entree - I ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs. My other tablemates ordered a pizza and a veggie burger. The food arrived super quick, which made me a bit suspicious. Sure, the ribs are always cooked ahead of time, and my oversauced ribs were a bit overdone. Not dried out, but overdone as to where one could shake the slab, and the entire side of meat would fall off - kinda like overcooking pasta. But, the ribs were pretty good flavor wise, and they had plenty of meat on the bone [before it fell off]. My sides were an utter disappointment. The cornbread muffin was straight out of the box - dry and no cornbready texture, it was a yellow cupcake. The dollop of cole slaw was at a unnervingly tepid temperature, and half liquid mayonnaise - blech! The crusher was the Onion Rings. How do you fugg-up Onion Rings? Ironwood's got the technique down. They must have been leftovers from the previous night, because they were like rubber bands entombed within a oil soaked twice deep fried batter. I've rarely seen such a sad onion ring. I complained and they did bring out some freshly deep fried ones that were barely acceptable, but really, opening a box of Gordon Food Services frozen onion rings is not going to win any accolades - dull and lifeless flavor from what is normally such a delicious side. For the prices Ironwood charges, one should really expect more than pre-made Frozen food. Lazy Ironwood, Layy-zeee! My tablemate's veggie burger was OK for a pre-made patty microwaved to perfection [?], but the squeeze bottle streak of guacamole on top of the patty was a head scratcher - why not real pieces of fresh avacado? Oh yeah, you can't buy those frozen and pre-made..... The pizza resembled a pizza, but was a curious mix of wet and watery in the center, and the Crust looked as if it were already pre-cooked a day previously, topped with toppings then thrust back into the wood fired oven to melt the cheese - Not the way to make a wood fired pizza. I surmise that the prep cooks wood-fire a batch of blank pizza crusts, then as the orders come in, they top them and heat em up - very fast, but even Domino's doesn't do that.... A goopy flavorless mess - I was embarrassed for the wood fired oven. The pizza could be so good with that oven, if the management really cared about standards. The one saving grace was the cold beer that thankfully provided some relief from the tedium of the cuisine. Thank you beer! I really want to like Ironwood, but the food continues to disappoint. This place is hoppin' on the weekends and always has a good crowd. I'm sure I'll get dragged back here again, but I'll make sure to eat beforehand. Perhaps the management's food standards don't really have to be up to snuff, as long as this restaurant remains a popular place to see - and be seen at. That only takes you so far, and I'm done with this trip - adios Ironwood!

I really enjoy the salads here. The presentation is nice and not thrown together. The meats on the salads are seasoned well. Nice atmosphere!

Let's start with the acoustics. The place was packed and LOUD. Since the ceilings are high and the walls bare (except for the large number of big screen TVs, which can be okay if you're in the mood for that type of atmosphere). It was pretty much impossible to have a conversation unless we were yelling. Once we were greeted by a waitress, we waited another 10 minutes to place our order. The appetizer (chicken quesadilla) came quickly and was okay. Nothing wrong with it but remarkably UNremarkable...and no spiciness at all. My boyfriend and I split the BBQ Platter. The BBQ pulled pork was the best thing on the plate, BBQ sauce a little sweet, too much smoke, not enough spice, but it was okay. Ribs were WAY too smoky and bland, but were tender. Now for the brisket. Oh my...the brisket. I really have never seen anything quite like it. It looked like bacon made out of scrapple. It tasted like paper and it had the consistency of shoe leather. When we were done eating, it took a looooong time to get our check. Once we paid, no one came to get it and since it was cash, I gave it to the hostess and we left. Never to return.

Decided to check out the new Ironwood Grill in downtown Plymouth last night. I've been excited for this place to open. It had a cool atmosphere, lots of tv's and a friendly staff. Since it just opened they had a limited two page menu (apparently the full 6 page menu comes out next week). I went with the BBQ platter which was alright. I was feeling ribs, but I should have known better. I should just stick with Slow's downtown for bbq. Next time I'd try something else. I'll definitely give this place another shot. Give it a little time to work the kinks out and get the full menu going. Oh, I forgot to mention. Beer prices are really reasonable. $2.50 for most domestic 16 oz. drafts!

I came here with a few friends to watch the MSU Basketball game and we were seated in a booth immediately. Although our waitress was almost inaudible, we managed to order beers and 2 pizzas to split. Both pizzas (Asian chicken and BBQ chicken) were AWESOME! Would definitely recommend this place to hang out and drink during the afternoon. Wish they had a patio. Go for the pizzas- order a few different ones, split and enjoy!

We had dinner there last night and we were not impressed. Yes, it has cool TV's with sports and a nice beer selection....but the food was mediocre at best. The portions were small and overpriced. Go to the Penn for a much better meal at a much better price.
