We spend Fourth of July weekend here. It was my first time at a bed and breakfast so I was not exactly sure what to expect. I would describe the whole experience as extremely weird. For $180 a night I expected more. The breakfast was blah, The room had a musty smell and it felt like we step back in time 30+ years. If you're looking for extremely vintage then this is the place for you.

First time staying at a bed and breakfast so I was a bit unsure what to expect. But it was definitely just the thing for a weekend getaway! We've got some real pleasant folks running this bed and breakfast near Saugatuck. Very clean and well organized living quarters with plenty of space for the kids to run around or play basketball or the perfect getaway for two! We stayed in the Harbor room which included a Jacuzzi facing the bed. The Jacuzzi was also clean and in perfect working order. Water temperature was on the warm side but after a day of walking around Saugatuck and Douglas, it was well warranted. The bed was decent but could have been slightly firmer (I'm a bit picky with my mattresses) It's also an older establishment and you will hear people walking upstairs or other Jacuzzis being used. We're also dealing with well water (rust/egg smell) so do not expect some 5 star hotels in downtown Chicago quality of water. Comcast on demand was provided which perfectly suited our needs. TV could have been a bit larger but not that big of a deal. Bathroom was a bit small and claustrophobic but we overcame that fairly quickly. Breakfast was there for us every morning which consisted of eggs, sausages, waffles, fresh fruit, apple cobbler, 2-3 different cereals, milk, orange juice and beloved coffee. Can't start my day without it! Very nice living room area with a nice sun room where once can also enjoy breakfast. Heritage also has a pool available for use. Very clean too I might add! It's a bit far away from the action in Saugatuck and Douglas so if you prefer a bed and breakfast surrounded by the nightlife, then the peace and quiet might not be your liking. Biggest adjustment was the water quality which would benefit from Lake Michigan water access. Thanks again for your hospitality. We enjoyed out time at the Heritage and we'll definitely be back if we find ourselves in the area again.

This place is the Motel 6 of B & B' s. It is very minimally appointed with uncomfortable beds. If you are used to the pampering of a real bed and breakfast, definitely pass this place by. The decor is early garage sale. Religious decorations throughout. Breakfast includes cereal boxes set out, eggs and sausages ceremoniously set out in casserole dishes, and lots of carbs. My tea bag brand was "Added Value.". We rented a room with a jacuzzi for $180. The jacuzzi was nice, (one jet per person), but in the morning it was cold, in spite of having the cover on all night. Bathroom has a scrap of soap and no shampoo or lotions. It is clean, Ross seems nice, but I felt totally ripped off. It was a special weekend for us, and I got that feeling you get when it is cold in your parent`s house because they don't want to pay the fuel costs.

Heritage Manor Inn was my girlfriends find on the drive in from Chicago. We stayed in the English Country Garden room. The inside of the inn is handsome and unusual- there is a stone centerpiece and a grand staircase. The wood frame dining room looks out on the indoor pool and backyard. It was in the 90s the day of our stay but the AC was really good. The English Country Garden has a hottub facing the bed. The television with Comcast On Demand was on a dresser in between so that watching was possible from either vantage. The bed was soft and comfortable- girlfriend and I slept really well. The folks running the inn were very nice and helpful about showing us a quieter beach. It was Memorial Day Weekend and we did not want to fight the holiday crowds. Breakfast in the morning was the best- eggs, waffles, coffee cake, juice, and coffee. There are many good, relevant reviews on tripadvisor- that's how my girlfriend found the gem.

Good location run by friendly folks. Clean rooms. Nothing extravagant in terms of amenities but we use it annually as a base to visit family for a few days. We keep coming back. The breakfasts are quite good. I think it's good value for the price.

Uncomfortable beds, dingy décor, not worth the money. Would not recommend. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE. I regret not reading reviews on TRIPADVISOR first. We hadn't done any research on rooms and went on a very busy weekend.
