First time visiting a Tim Hortons. We tried the steak and egg panini, maple sausage egg sandwich, sour cream donuts, and the frozen pumpkin cappuccinos. Service was fast and friendly... everyone was smiling. Food was served quickly and tasted great. The cappuccinos will certainly satisfy a pumpkin craving.

In my opinion the Good Shepherd Food Bank is one of the best non-profits in all of Maine. The things they get accomplished for our state is nothing short of phenomenal and I'm proud to support them in any way I can.

The more and more I come to this place the more I like it. I always order the same thing too: Smothered King Tips with loaded mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day. These king tips are huge and I usually can't finish them all. I always walk home with a doggy bag from this place due to their large servings. The staff has been there quite for a while so its always nice to see familiar faces serving. They serve good alcoholic drinks along with nice TALL beers. One of two should take care of you from appetizer to dessert.
Always good food for a reasonable price, and wonderful staff. The quirky decor is awesome as well.

The pepperoni pizza is the best I have ever had. I wish it was not so good so I could try some other things on the menu. But every time I go I have to get the pepperoni pizza. My wife always gets the chicken finger dinner so when she doesn't finish, I get some of it. It is also great. I would also recommend people to get french fries because they are always cooked perfect.
I have only had the pizza buffet, but it's decent pizza. Definitely better than the average L/A pizza. The people are very friendly and accommodating to the different types of pizza you'd like in the buffet. Worth trying, for sure. It reminds me of really good cafeteria pizza.
Great food at a reasonable price! The employees are very helpful and very nice! The ham and onion pizza is excellent!

Roy’s All Steak Hamburgers

Reviews:
Known for awesome hamburgers and fries but you can't go wrong with the lobster roll. Roy's has a terrific driving range, hard and soft ice cream so you can start and finish your day out here. I would recommend this for the whole family from 1-101.
Best burgers and dogs. Fries are fresh cut and wonderful. On a nice day eating outside. Play mini golf or drive some golf balls. Batting cages and a nice little 9 hole par three course too. Great for kids and adults.
I came to Auburn on the way through to somewhere else, read Yelp and chose Roy's from the list. It was a coldish day with sunny breaks and our family needed a place to celebrate. All seating is outside, so the experience should have been poor to horrible. But the service was good, the food was great (hamburgers and fish and amazing chips), the mini-golf was a bunch of fun, the icecream enjoyable and the prices hard to beat for a large family with hungry children. Yup. This is the place to go. Word of warning - cash only!

I love this place! I get a nice hug when I show up and for some reason I still have to wait for a table like everyone else ;) Best breakfast place that I have been to in this state. They have a large range of menu items to choose from but not where it is to overwhelming and they just expanded seating last year. Plus when your done there you can head across the parking lot for dinner at Wei-Li.
I realize that I'm probably an exception, but breakfast is the meal I'm least likely to eat out. I love breakfast, but during the week, I'm a yogurt and granola kind of guy, or even oatmeal and fruit, so paying for that in a restaurant rarely delivers value for me. Because my freelance work requires meeting up with clients and partners, I mostly do this over lunch. Today was an exception. Where to find a good breakfast place in Lewiston/Auburn? One that delivers a hearty breakfast (when I pull out the stops, I like a hearty, three eggs, home fries and toast type of affair)? Since I never eat out without consulting Yelp, and Yelp seemed to be directing me out to the Center Street Café, then that's where we agreed to meet. Yelp was not wrong. Long live the Yelp!! Hearty breakfast #1 was mine; I had the Mexican omelette with a side of hash browns (because a fellow Yelper suggested this), and an English muffin, buttered and grilled. The dish was superb. First, it was hot out of the kitchen. I can't stand lukewarm food of any kind (if it's meant to be eaten hot) and this one hadn't been left to sit around. I've had Mexican omelette before, but never with ground beef. I was a bit leery of this when I saw it listed on the menu--not the Mexican omelette, but the ground beef. I love ground beef in various combinations, but there seemed like multiple ways this could go wrong, either on the grease front, or even being under/overcooked. I'm glad I fought through my fear, however. This was so good, reminding me of a beef taco in flavor, except in an omelet presentation. The hash browns were crispy, which is exactly how I like them, and the English muffin was homemade, perfectly buttered and grilled (the waitress asked if I wanted it toasted, or grilled, which was another plus). Hearty breakfast # 2; my friend/colleague went with the farmer's hash (I think), which was the standard corned beef hash, with carrots and cabbage. She told the waitress she was choosing this because "I am Polish." She told me it was "awesome." The two meals, with coffee refills came to $18.00. While we both ordered off the menu, I couldn't help noticing that there was also a plethora of specials on the chalkboard above the register at the entrance. There were pancakes, muffins, specialty breads, all made in-house. The restaurant is a bit out of the way (if you're doing business downtown), at the Lake Auburn end of Center Street, just after automobile row, on the right, headed west. The next time I'm in town, I think I'll check out Center Street Café at lunch. I bet they have good burgers.
This is the best breakfast I have found in Maine. Very creative assortment of french toast and pancakes. Friendly service, and reasonable prices.

Starbucks

Reviews:
This Starbucks is basically a lifesaver when I am visiting my parents in Maine. My technologically impaired folks got rid of their internet a while back when they decided they no longer needed it so this is where I come to get connected to the world, check my emails, and do my work when I am visiting. Thankfully, its a great place to do all those things. It's located in a convenient and easy-to-get-to area in the same plaza as Home Depot, Kohl's, and Famous Footwear, and across the street the street from Wal-Mart. This Starbucks has a decent layout, with a large table immediately to your right when you enter, and a section of comfy and cozy armchairs to your immediate right. Small and medium sized tables are located further in. Staff have always been super friendly and competent. I've always found a seat I've liked. Bathrooms have always been clean. I am definitely a fan of this Starbucks. (Note: There's also a Drive-Thru at this location!) 12/29/13 Addendum: THE WIFI CONNECTION HERE IS AWFUL, TERRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD. Boo. Its not just me. The employees agree.
Such a nice Starbucks in a sort of out of the way place. They clearly built in a shopping center that collapsed around them, now a pretty much deserted strip mall with weeds coming up through the asphalt. But the staff was awesome, the decaf espresso excellent, the store clearly thriving with lots of regulars and lots of comfortable seating. We were visiting the area and went here every morning. We saw the same regulars camped out with drinks and laptops for the wi-fi each day. I plan to visit there again sometime.
What can I say... it's Starbucks. I love it. My experience is that it is consistently good. Every venti non-fat latte is like a mini-vacation. For those from away who speculate about the location... This particular Starbucks is located in a renovated bank building (hence the great drive-through and plenty of interior space), and was sited there when the mall area was just being built up after a period of stagnation. Unfortunately for Starbucks, there's been no further development of retail or other businesses in the immediate vicinity, and they remain sort of an island in a sea of parking lot. However, the location - perched on a small hill - offers great visibility, and people driving in from several directions can find it easily.

The Library Cafe

Reviews:
First time here for brunch. My boyfriend and I both had wraps - the veggie deluxe and the ranchero. Both were awesome. The owner and our waiter were both very friendly. The menu for lunch and dinner looked great too. Bonus, they will be adding a bar and able to do bloody Mary's and have a draft list soon (right now they offer bottle and cans, as well as wine). The iced coffees have coffee ice cubes in them, another plus.
The Library Cafe, at Auburn Public Library, is under new ownership. The menu is expanded, and so are the hours. Located on the ground floor at APL, on the Spring Streeet side, the Cafe is a great option for lunch, or a coffee. There is indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio area with shade umbrellas if you'd prefer to sit outside and soak in the summer weather with an iced coffee, brewed tea (they'll ice it for you), and a cookie or other pastry, or something more substantial. I had the half Cafe Cobb, a Cobb salad, and it was good-sized. The mixed greens were fresh, and it had ample amounts of roasted turkey, crumbled blue cheese, bacon, diced hard boiled egg, red onion, cucumbers, and avocado. The white balsamic dressing was light and the perfect accompaniment to a great salad. If you are ordering lunch or even dinner, the Cafe provides table service. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Good food, good service, nice place. We would come again for sure. We had the Gouda tomato and bacon grilled cheese with chicken corn chowder and a pulled chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches were very tasty and the homemade soup was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Open for dinner now.

Great new place! Very nice, above par typical Japanese buffet. Been here a few times and love the sushi! Not your average place. Not the most amazing food you'll ever eat but if you looking for some Japanese food/take out its not bad at all! 5 stars for now. I will update my review after going a few more times
We had the lunch buffet. It was a reasonable price and one of the better buffets that we've had. Food was kept fresh. The place was clean with a pleasing decor. Several choices of hard ice cream was a bonus.
my favorite Chinese place in the area. it's never too greasy and the service is great. i love the sushi bar. i'm just starting to come around to trying it and so far so good. also a plus is it's cleanliness and comfortable decor. my family and i went on christmas eve and as expected the place was packed and a bit crowded but even after being seated we still saw our server often enough (not too much) to make sure we were all set and everything was good. i was highly impressed by how well the buffet was stocked for being so busy. i never saw an empty try. i love coming here weather it's lunch with a friend and take out dinner.
