Great new place! Very nice, above par typical Japanese buffet. Been here a few times and love the sushi! Not your average place. Not the most amazing food you'll ever eat but if you looking for some Japanese food/take out its not bad at all! 5 stars for now. I will update my review after going a few more times

We had the lunch buffet. It was a reasonable price and one of the better buffets that we've had. Food was kept fresh. The place was clean with a pleasing decor. Several choices of hard ice cream was a bonus.

my favorite Chinese place in the area. it's never too greasy and the service is great. i love the sushi bar. i'm just starting to come around to trying it and so far so good. also a plus is it's cleanliness and comfortable decor. my family and i went on christmas eve and as expected the place was packed and a bit crowded but even after being seated we still saw our server often enough (not too much) to make sure we were all set and everything was good. i was highly impressed by how well the buffet was stocked for being so busy. i never saw an empty try. i love coming here weather it's lunch with a friend and take out dinner.

I know a lot of people love this restaurant, but it wasn't for us. My office ordered from here and none of us liked the food. I know it was at a time when people were talking about the lack of consistency of how good or bad the food was at different times of the week. The staff did seem very friendly and welcoming.

THE best tasting Chinese food in Auburn! You know how sometimes chinese buffet food tastes old, stale, and reheated? Well, NOT this place! Everything is always hot and fresh and the service is always friendly! Don't like buffets? Take out is a great option and just as tasty. Plus, you get a decent sized portion for your money. Yum! :-)

Now I will fully admit that I am not a Chinese buffet lover....avoider is more like it, but when a friend suggested we check this place out I thought why not give it a go. Walking in the interior was very nice and I exclaimed more than once that I couldn't believe this place was a goodwill/pizza joint only a short while beforehand. After picking up menus (you read that right...we picked up and carried our own menus) and being placed in a comfy looking booth with eye shot of the buffet, I was relieved to find that I didn't HAVE to get the buffet. Unfortunately when we tried to order (both myself & my friend wanted to order off the menu) our server made it all to clear that actual "orders" were not appreciated. Every time we asked a question, asked for a particular dish or were trying to locate a particular dish on the menu we were met with "that is only on the buffet" "you know you can just get that on the buffet" & "they are just going to dish that from the dishes on the buffet". It got to the point where I had to very clearly point out to our server that I appreciated they had a buffet, I wasn't actually looking to have buffet at this moment in time. Once our (likely scooped from the buffet) food arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted good and didn't have a heavy/greasy feel that some dishes have at other local Chinese/Fusion restaurants can have. Oh and the green onion pancakes were out of this world. So if you are into buffets I would suggest you go to this place soon. If like me, you aren't a buffet person I would still say give it a shot, just be prepared to defend your menu ordering ways!

Food was amazing! Took the family up with a buddy of mine and his lil' one, everything from the food to the service was outstanding . Not to mention the owner is very customer attentive that's one thing that goes a long way with me. This is the only Japanese / Chinese restaurant that I've been to in Maine, that actually has real crab in crab ragoons not just a big glob of cream cheese. Must try the California rolls. Definitely will visit again and again..

We got take out and it was not good at all. Maybe dining in is different.

You haven't had Chinese food until you've been to Lotus Restaurant. Not only is the food the best but the service is top notch. You must experience it for yourself.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
