The rice bowls at this place are the best - the meat is super tender, and the veggies are crisp. Unless you're strapped for cash, fork over a little extra for the higher price steak, and you won't regret it. It's really lean and melts in your mouth. I haven't tried the chicken enough to form a really solid opinion, but I know my dad's a fan, and he's pretty critical about his fried chicken. Honestly, this is really just a great little lunch place. Simple, nothing extravagant, just some tasty food. The interior gives it a very "fast food" feel, so it's perfect for a quick break from work, but I wouldn't exactly bring your out of town guests here for a sampling of Maryland dining.

Blah! Not sure how to categorize this place. They have American, Chinese and Japanese options. I am not a fan of places that do not 'specialize' in a certain cuisine but instead attempt to do too much. I ordered: collard greens that I watched the cashier heat up in the microwave (didn't eat them), a shrimp bowl that was bland and the 'fried rice' that came with it was nothing more than white rice with soy sauce heated up on the grill. Tom Yum soup with shrimp, ate about 5-6 spoonfuls and there was no shrimp to be found. Would not recommend this place as it is not for me. I will say the prices are reasonable if you are on a budget.

About the only goto item here is the teriyaki bowls. All of the fried food tastes the same...all you really taste is the fryer oil. The sushi is not made on-site and sometimes tastes like its been in the container for too long. Don't go if its a busy night and you are in a hurry- the kitchen mechanics are a bit unorganized. After waiting for a simple take-out order for about 15 minutes (while watching orders placed after mine come out) and asking twice about the status of my order they finally figured out that they hadn't even started it.

Didn't know what to expect as the sign out side said Japanese grill but the menu had a large cultural variety of different foods. I asked what they are known for and, obviously being a Japanese grill, they told me the hibachi. I tried the steak, chicken and shrimp combo and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I would call this fast food hibachi, where you order it at a counter and it's prepared to order in about 5-10 minutes. They even have a large window to the kitchen if you want to watch the chef prepare your meal. The brilliance of this place is they have something on the menu for everybody, so of you want hibachi and your kids don't care for it, there's plenty to choose from to make everybody happy. Good eats!

Best go - to chicken in Calvert County; grilled or fried. Service is pleasant and menu is cooked to order but swift.

Always a pleasure doing business with them. Their food is wonderful and their staff are super friendly. They have a huge selection of menu items so it's hard to make your mind up the very first time. If you call ahead, it usually takes about 15 minutes for the order to be ready and it's dead on hot when you get there.
