For about the price of ihop, you get much better food! The pancakes are some of the best you'll ever eat. The service can sometimes feel slow, but they're always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also very child/toddler friendly.

Loved the food when they first opened, 2nd time coming on weekend. Waitstaff not the same during the week. Suggest that you come before 9:30am on the weekend.

This place is my new favorite Bowie spot (: Its got tons of hipster organic atmosphere, and the foods yummy. If you're a fan of avocado and bacon, as I am, you're in luck, because it's in EVERYTHING Not quite, but their omelettes and Monterrey club sandwich are good. The endless coffee is nice, and they leave a tall bottle of water at the table. They also have a bunch of fun juices and other things to try. Small warning, it's a little cold in there, and they kind of overcharge, I think, but you're definitely paying for the feel of the place. Everyone I've had serve me has been very nice. It's your standard cafe. Give it a try!

Greek Fetish Omelet and veggie burger were so good, by the time we got our camera out to take a picture, the food was gone. Great service by Courtney, Danielle, and Jasmine! Special requests were no problem. Coffee was excellent. We highly recommend!

Todays visit to First Watch was my 2nd, and after this experience it may be the last. It was completely different as if now that they are settling in and getting comfortable, customer service is less important. There were a few issues so I will just list them all. 1. When I entered, no one was at the front to greet or seat me. After a few minutes of staring at the staff in the back I sat down while I waited and then a waitress finally came to the front. She still did not acknowledge me until I stood, at which point she asked if I was picking up. When I told her no, I was finally seated. 2. The restaurant only had a hand full of customers, yet it took over 20 minutes to get my food (1 blueberry pancake and one of their egg dishes) after I ordered. I could hear them calling out commands and putting together a large order, maybe catering, but whatever it was, I know that those 24 more slices of bread and 8 more fruit cups were more important than the breakfast of a patron actually sitting in the dining room. 3. The waiter did not check in once the food came, so every time I needed something (syrup for my pancake, to go box and check) I had to try to waive down someone that was passing by. 4. The final straw was when I attempted to pick my pancake up to put in a to go box, it fell apart because the batter was completely raw. After waiting a few minutes for someone to walk by, I finally got up and walked across the dining room with my oozing pancake to where all the staff was gathered by the kitchen and handed the pancake to the server and asked her to just remove it from my check so that I could pay and leave. Over all I'm not sure if I was more disappointed with the awful experience and by the staffs apparent lack of concern with the fact that the experience was so awful. I was glad to have a breakfast place with decent food in Bowie, but after today, I'll just boil an egg!

I am so pleased to have a unique alternative in Prince George's County, that offers a healthy alternative to 5Bucks and Panera! If you are really a health nut, you can go with the Power Quinoa Bowl, which actually turned to be pretty good...or you can choose any of their creative and delicious dishes. I am impressed with the service, the space, the wifi, and of course the food! Next time I think I'll try the Avocado Toast, that's healthy, right??!!

I never knew this place existed. What a lucky find for a quick breakfast. The food was fresh and healthy and they offered a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. I also had one in their nutra-bullet type shakes. It was very good and tasted like they just had juiced it in the back. My wife had an egg white omelette she said was delicious. And I of course had plenty of starches. The service was great and there was room for plenty to seat. I can imagine this place occasionally gets very busy but I walked in and got a seat right away.

Excellent choice after church for breakfast! Fast service! Must have french toast with fresh fruit and maple syrup. Fresh juices were excellent too!

All I have to say is. 'carrot cake pancakes'!!! GOOD LAWD!!!! they are delicious! Huge, so truly you only need one (I ordered two and just ate the second for breakfast this morning) . They come out with this semi crunchy top, real pieces of shredded carrots and raisins tucked inside.... Ordered them on a whim since I love carrot cake and man did I make the right choice. Also ordered the omelet with Italian sausage, another delicious choice. I work across the street from this place and they are gonna wreck havoc on my diet

Someone that understands efficiency needs to go through this place. The food and concept are all really good. Some of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Sadly, on entry it is confusing when you have a few people waiting. Most of the staff that I have met could really pick up the personality more. I know it was busy but more smiles, more random "can I get you anything" more attentive more fun. For a healthy place people just didn't seem like they had much energy. Again, I have really liked the two meals I have gotten, it is just everything other than the food (and one of the ladies at the front that does have the energy level I would expect) that I have problems with. Maybe watch a video if you have them to offer suggestions on efficiencies.

An AH-MAZING addition to the generally bleak and desolate Bowie dining scene. My wife and I have tried a couple of breakfast and lunch options over the past couple weeks and the lunch items we tried were standouts. The "2 for you" lunch deal is a steal for under $8, and my half Reuben sandwich and half Cobb salad were plate-licking good. The ratio of the Reuben's corned beef, to rye bread, to thousand island dressing was on point - satisfying while not overly indulgent. The Cobb salad was chock full of quality ingredients, with tons of actual bacon bits, avocado pieces, and blue cheese chunks. No skimping there for sure. For my salad, I ordered the Santa Fe dressing, which was described to me as their spicy ranch, on the side. It was an enjoyable pairing with the Cobb ingredients. My wife enjoyed the pecan dijon salad, with the cheese and dressing on the side, which she enjoyed thoroughly and claimed to be full afterwards (which, we all know, can often be difficult to achieve with just rabbit food as one's meal). The one star deduction is for the absence of a dedicated host or hostess at the front greeting station. It looks like they just depend on servers to come up when they notice patrons arriving. That's all fine and dandy when they notice such things, but, if not, you're just standing there awkwardly looking around hoping someone notices you (sounds like my high school dance)...and that can be awhile, as we experienced today for lunch. Also, a couple of individual-preference notes regarding the breakfasts we tried - an overwhelming amount of potato in the avocado, bacon, tomato hash, and an underwhelming hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict which was too heavy on the butter for our taste. We love the industrial-meet-modern-meet-farm-to-table decor and feel, and the openness and cleanliness of the restaurant lends to a very pleasant dining experience. We will be back many more times, and I hope this place does well here. And, Wingstop is coming soon next door! I LOVE WINGS

Been here 3 times. The food is always superb. When "rush hour" hits the front of the restaurant can become crowded due to everyone waiting for a seat and people paying at the same time. Due to size constraints, I get why it has to be like this. The decor is beautiful. The staff has always had smiles on their faces, been extremely helpful and happy. Overall, every visit has been very enjoyable!

I had to go twice before I wrote this review. The first time that I went I ordered a Monte Cristo and they brought me a very healthy version of the sandwich. It was good but I had the thought of Bennigan's version in my head so I walked out full and disappointed. I came back a second time with my sister and had the Egg Avocado and hash bowl... It was Awesome!!!!!! My sister had the French toast which she enjoyed. I think that this resturant will be added to my rotation.

First let me say I love the environment. Reminds me of a farms to table spot. I had the day glow juice...it was alright. My husband and I share 1 pancake. I ordered the Market Hash and my husband ordered No Guilt veggie wrap. Yes, that's a lot of food please don't judge us. My Market hash was the best. Anything that contains goat cheese I am always going to pick. But this dish was well balance. Veggies...cheese and eggs. I dont like dippy eggs so I got my fried hard. It was well season and I can't wait to order it again. The dish came with a fruit cup and English muffin with great preserves. The pancake had a great crust. Crust???? Yes crust, I love a nice crust on a pancake. Still light and fluffy. I didn't try the no Guilt wrap because I was too wrap up in my hash. Please try a hash....any hash will do. I'm glad this place came to Bowie and I hope it stays.

I don't know how I feel. It started ok with the ambiance, the smells, looked busy and a patron paying her bill said. "The food is great" Then my server never to me her name, specials, or welcome to First Watch. Ordered OJ and florentine eggs Benedict. it came out pretty fast. The first pooched egg was perfect and the taste of the hollandaise sauce was on point. Then I got to the second egg - boiled egg. The girl (sever) never checked on me until she has to give me the check.so I couldn't tell her about it till the end. And never told the manager. Dining by myself doesn't interest severs who are not going to benefit them. I guess. But overall it was Ok.

My wife had pecan pancakes which she really enjoyed. I had the cranberry nut pancakes which were great. The Day Glow drink was really good. It was a refreshing blend of juices with a bit PDF ginger spicing things up. A clean open environment with a cozy, comfortable, earthy feel. Service was personable, informative, and attentive.

Farm fresh & locally grown will get me in the doors. Friendly service, flawless food and healthy options will get me back. Prices will determine how often. I will definitely be back but will need to watch my wallet. Rustic, open and comfortable decor (love it!). Entrée' sandwich and salad prices range from $7.49-$9.59 with an estimated average around $9.00. Coffee is $2.50 per pot, not cup, (approx. 3 servings) and is smooth, robust and is not embracing the burnt taste that seems to have become so prevalent. Free Wi-Fi is available. Note: "the healthier side" options have an average of around $7.60. Their online menu doesn't give prices but does provide nutritional information for all of their dishes. A great place to eat!

I had the pesto chicken quinoa & kale bowl that taste just like a regular pesto pasta & it totally filled me up because it's a big serving! Juicy goodness ( carrot, orange and lemon freshly squeezed juice) is the bomb! I will be back for this farm to table food goodness!

A true breakfast cafe is now in Bowie! Delicious food, great service (Breauna was simply awesome), perfect coffee, cool surroundings, and did I mention the food is absolute perfection?! Here's what I enjoy most...you can taste the freshness. Just one example: they crack their own eggs, including to get egg whites! Most places give you those horrible carton eggs or egg whites (which always leaves me feeling slightly queasy). Here at First Watch Cafe, that simple (and uncommon) change allows diners to customize their omelet (they do a 3-egg omelet) to their specifications. You want a 1 yoke, 2 whites omelet?....No problem here! The coffee is really delicious (and offered as soon as you step foot in the door which is a nice touch when there is a wait). The surroundings were very comfortable. The kitchen is semi-open, so it's nice and clean. Very cozy decor, and the bathrooms were clean. I am impressed and excited to have a true breakfast, brunch, and lunch place in Bowie!

Third time here and i must say the food is excellent and the Kale Tonic is great too! The service is fast and polite. Today we had Danielle who is my favorite, very nice, knowledgeable about the menu and she kept making sure we were taken care of. My only complaint is the water glasses always have spots on them. I dont know if the dishwashing detergent is the cause but i needs to be addressed. Each time we send back our glasses to get new ones. Other than that, I'd go back again.

The food was great, the service needs improvement. I went to eat there with my family on a Sunday afternoon, close to their closing time. My coffee mug was dirty, I asked the server for a replacement. I felt the server was more focused on closing shop than to take care of us. The food was outstanding, that's why I give them 4 stars.

Pretty good. Very downtown brunchy. I'm a diner girl myself. Big a$$ pancakes! Blueberry was a good choice, but they had a basic bready flavor and I like vanilla or something in my pancakes. Also ordered the bacon avocado hash with a side of salsa, yum! Met and satisfied my savory and sweet cravings, so I'm happy. The day glow juice was pretty refreshing. Overall worth another go.

Whatever you do, check your order before you leave! They will not correct it and the management was nasty and offered me a coupon instead of refunding my money.

First time coming here and when I say the last time, I mean it...no one was at the front to seat me, mind you I was the only person at the front until the line started to get longer. I had to wait at lease 20mins to be seated and then someone came to the front...I had to ask if I should seat myself (smh) so once someone finally sat me at the table, I then had to wait another 15 mins to ask someone if I can at least get a glass of water or maybe some coffee...there were only like ten ppl in the restaurant being served or waited on, I had to grab the young man who was cleaning tables to help me and asked him if he could send someone over so I could place an order. So finally they sent someone to my table, I then placed my order and had to wait like 30 mins for my food I was like okay maybe it's worth the wait, "I don't think so" Once I got the food It looked pretty good but wasn't tasteful at all. I then asked for a take out box, it took another 20 mins. Never will I ever come back to this place...over all I waited like 1hr and 30mins I should have stuck with IHOP at least I know the food would have been tasteful and well worth the wait.

The food is great. Go on a weekday and try the cheddar bacon pancake. Everything I have had there has been excellent. Service can be great or slow depending on the day and the server.

This is one of my favorite new places to eat breakfast. I've been to this location twice and have never been disappointed with the food. Service can be hit or miss, in my opinion. The last time I ate here, our server was friendly, but wasn't that attentive. It took a little over 5 minutes for someone to come to our table and get our drinks. My drink glass had quite a bit of food stuck to the rim. I brought it to the server's attention and it took 4-5 minutes to get a new glass. The food came out promptly and was great! The food was hot, flavorful, and it was a perfect portion of food. Our server never checked back with us to see if we liked what we ordered. We sat at the table for a little while waiting for the check. A different server came by to take our plates just as our server came by to drop off our check. Again, he was friendly, but the service was definitely lacking. The restaurant was pretty packed at the time, as it was the height of the breakfast rush, so maybe it was just a bad morning. It can also get a bit crowded when you go to the front of the restaurant to pay, especially if it's on a weekend. The register is right near the door where groups of people are waiting to be seated, so it can be a bit of a tight squeeze. Favorite breakfast item on the menu: Avocado, Bacon And Tomato Hash - YUMMY!

Just left there with my Boo. Continuing his birthday celebration. The food was great! The service was ok, a little slow for my taste. But the problem today is they sat us by the kitchen opening. We could see trash on the floor, food on the wall and the trash was overflowing. Who wants to eat see that!!!!

First off, this place looks unique, not like all the other breakfast type establishments out there (iHop, Bob Evans, etc.). It has a nice, modern, fresh look. We went on Sunday 1/25 to try it out since it just opened recently. The service is good and the food comes out in a timely manner, but what really sticks out above all the rest is THE FOOD! WOW! SO YUM! SUCH GREAT! MUCH TASTE! AMAZE! Honestly, one of the best breakfast establishments I've been to. It reminds me of a chain in California, that I go to while visiting out there, called Coco's (love that place too). I have the 'Bacado omelet', but I subbed the bacon for crimini mushrooms and was in love. I got the potatoes and a fruit cup for my sides and was in heaven. My husband had an avocado egg hash dish and simply devoured it. The quality of the ingredients really stand out and you feel wonderful when eating the food here! Your body wants to give you a high five for all the nutrients and you feel great and full for hours after, but not too full or bloated like what processed or greasy food can make you feel. I asked about the name and it turns out it was Navy people that created the chain and 'First Watch' is a Navy term! Very neat! Oh and, the prices are very reasonable! My husband and I ate for around $26 total and that was for two entrees, a coffee and their speciality, 'in-house', made juice, so not bad at all! We will be returning soon! The only suggestion would be to have actual gluten free substitutes on the menu, like what Coco's and Silver Diner has, where they have gluten free bread/pancakes typically made out of coconut flour or rice flour.

I've been here to this location 4 times and every experience has had problems. The first time the food was outstanding and service very good. It all went down hill after that first visit. The food went from outstanding to hit or miss "ok". The service is awful and there never seems to be enough servers. I have watched people walk out because they were tired of waiting for a server to acknowledge them. It's all around disappointing. I emailed First Watch to let them know about my bad experiences and NO ONE responded to me. This tells me a lot about this company. Again, disappointing. There are too many much better places, Ms. Shirley's, to tolerate First Watch - local and corporate! I would NOT recommend taking a chance for average/below average food and guaranteed bad service.

The name "First Watch" does not do justice to this place. Its. Great place for break fast. Lot of variety. Great ambience. Fresh and HEALTHY food. I just love eating here. It just opened up so its a bit busy. But loooove everything. I am going to visit this place a lot more often. 5 stars all the way. Great job guys.

My family had our first First Watch experience, and it won't be our last. We were looking for Sunday brunch after church and found this restaurant on Yelp. Thank you Yelp! We actually went to another new restaurant first, SoBe, but left when we found out brunch for us and our 11 y.o. twins would be $35 per person! So we headed out to Bowie for an intriguing day cafe experience. We arrived at a very busy time and had to wait @ 40 mins. They took my husband's cell number to text us when we could be seated. We walked over to the Dollar Tree and just lingered outside for a while on a beautiful day. There were some chairs and benches indoors to wait, but only 1 chair outside that my husband so chivalrously gave to me. Once inside we noticed how airy the place was and how friendly the staff was. Our drink order came quickly, including a glass bottle of water and glasses. When our food arrived we were very excited. We each ordered the Trifecta which included eggs, a choice of a large Belguim waffle or enormous pancake, and choice of bacon or sausage. One son declared the waffle delicious and airy, the other loved the blueberry pancake, and I had the wonderful pecan pancake. My husband had the carrot cake pancake which he stated " put the cake in pancake", and they allowed him to substitute potatoes for eggs. It was all fresh and tasty. My only criticism is that 2 orders came out substantially earlier than the other 2. We were just telling the boys it is polite to wait for everyone to receive their food before you eat, but we had to change that since we didn't want the food that arrived earliest to get cold. That did not ruin our meals in the least, however, as everything was delicious and filling. The 4 of us ate for $60 ( including tip) as opposed to what would have been $160 at the first restaurant. We will definitely be going back to First Watch and telling our friends!

Tastes extremely fresh, which is their claim to fame. I have tried several of the omelettes and have not been disappointed yet. The fresh squeezed juice options can be a little off putting if you're used to grocery store versions, but they are still delicious. The only semi negative thing I have to say is the service is pretty bad. They are slow, don't refill empty water containers and very unenthusiastic. If management changed that factor this place might be a little busier on a daily basis.

The service was excellent and the food was great. I had the bacon, avocado omelet. Also, the syrup that comes with pancakes is hot. Could not have had a better experience.

  • Rivka S.

Food is pretty tasty, but service stinks. Beware of busy times like Sunday brunch. Took 45 minutes to get seated and almost an hour after that to get our food. And no apologies anywhere in sight. I think this place has some kinks to work out.

My husband and I ate here a couple of weeks ago. It was a weekday and only two other tables with patrons.. The person who greeted us was in her phone texting and made us wait. The waitress was in attentive and cold. The waitresses where all huddled by the kitchen ( you can see right thru) and laughing and carrying on . My husband needed water or a drink refill and I had to go to the bathroom to get water. He was choking , slightly, while eating and needed water . The absolute worse service I've had in a long time . The food was average. We won't be going back. Oh and we had to wait for a cashier to ring us up.. There was really only three tables of customers . The staff out numbered the customers yet they could of cared-less!

Heard Great Reviews - Went to try it out. Food was good. Iced coffee took about 30 minutes and is premade ice coffee. I like the farm table / share a table idea. Great idea for fresh new juice combinations - I had kale carrot lemon something. Little coffee cups while you wait is a nice touch

  • Calvin R.

it should be noted that the customer service representative did reach out after the review and graciously apologized for the experience and offered to rectify the situation. I did politely decline, but it is refreshing to know that there are establishments that will make an attempt to correct service issues and work to leave patrons satisfied with their experience.. kudos to you!

Wow how can I even start. What a great place to come and eat breakfast or lunch. The pancakes are to die for! They were so good I wanted to order more. My friend ordered the baja turkey burger he absolutely loved it. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us. The location is perfect, tucked away nicely in bowie town center. I think I found my new go to weekend breakfast place.

I've been 5 times including today and I visited Mother's Day. The place is very cute and cozy but, the service was awful today. From the time we were seated, we waited for 45 minutes to receive our order. The waitress did not return once she filled the drink order to refill our carafe, inform us of the wait, or ask if there was anything we needed. I saw two families leave when they were told after waiting 30 minutes that there still was another 15 minute wait. Sad to say but it's best to go during the week, it seems, to get better service. I must say everything I've tried is very good, but the customer service needs an overhaul. The servers need an overhaul in the basics of customer service. I really hope things get better. I love the convenience of this place to my home and the healthy choices on the menu are a plus.

GREAT PLACE!!! GREAT FOOD!!! GREAT SERVICE!!! Loved it. This place has a very extensive and eclectic menu. The music was diverse. The interior and exterior was clean. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. If you come here you won't regret it! YUMMY YUMMY FOR YOUR TUMMY!

Oh god, this place was a horror show. Don't get me wrong-- I like other locations of First Watch, just not this one. The employees here couldn't find their own ass with a flashlight. The 30 min+ wait time, the hostess who completely skipped us on the list, having to flag down a waiter to have someone come take our order? Ugggggh. Maybe I'll try it again in 2 years or so, but this one ruined a perfectly nice Sunday, and was totally not worth it. Food was fine, if you don't mind endless frustration and killing half a day to do it.

4 stars for the food (fresh, tasty, and creative spins on home-style breakfast) and the fifth star for the prices. Brunch for 2 with coffee and tea was $21.

  • Stacy R.

Not happy I'll keep this short. I ordered my lunch to go. After sitting for about 10 minutes or so I went up to the hostess station and asked if they could check on my order. Please note there were 3 employees there. I got the "oh they just brought it up". Like I had not been sitting there. Poor service this time with no apology. If 1 to-go order is sitting there and 1 lady is sitting on the bench waiting, well??? I also noticed 2 of the same employees from my last visit which the service was ok. I'll give them one more try and than I'm moving on and I'll mention to others about the not so good service but great food. Yes, this wasn't short.

I appreciate First Watch's offering of fresh, locally-sourced food but I wasn't thoroughly impressed with what they had to offer. Granted, First Watch was way better than breakfast at your local Ihop but nothing about the experience really made me want to visit again. I had their waffle with sausage links and eggs. The waffle was okay, and I was kind've disappointed about how small the sausage links were. I liked how they leave a bottle of water on the table for you to pour at your own convenience. However, one thing I especially did not like was paying for our bill at the front of the restaurant where patrons were waiting to be seated. It was just annoying to be in the mix of people trying to be seated when I was so eager to leave. I would've much rather paid for my meal at the table. However, I would still consider coming back. Just on a less busy day and for something else.

Just what the Bowie area needed, a fresh farm to table cafe! The interior resembles a modern farm house, service has been spot on and the menu offers a lot of choices. Fresh ingredients make the world of difference and one leaves satisfied and not laden with the usual feeling after leaving other breakfast spots. I love the bacon and onion hash as well as the avocado, bacon tomato hash with a poached egg and hollandaise!!!!

New place in Bowie. Matt got waffles eggs and bacon. Waffles were light and fluffy. Perfection! The eggs were good but the bacon was a bit over cooked. I got Market hash. Two eggs over hash browned potatoes spinach pepper onions with feta cheeseand seasoned. Very tasty. Coffee good. Very busy do service a bit slow. Will definitely return.

Soooo happy to have more breakfast options in the area! Service can be a bit haphazard and slow but the pancakes make up for it! Haven't tried any of the lunch options but I'm a breakfast girl. Avoid the communal table if eating alone-there always seems to be someone who wants to chat. Can I eat my pancakes in peace, please? Yes I know it's a communal table but I'm antisocial and there for one reason-pancakes, not networking! The space itself is nice and open. I just wish it stayed open a litttttle later!

Excellent food as far breakfast places are concerned. Waiter totally messed up our order. I won't hold that against the place though. He did correct it and was very pleasant. The food looks amazing but the taste doesn't quite match. I'd say 9 for looks and 7.5 taste, 6.5 for portion size. I think the omelettes should be bigger with more sausage. Overall fantastic place, location, interior, staff & food. Beats any breakfast place around here. Coffee is great to!!

Great food when they finally bring it out, this place opened up in Jan by now they need to get a routine down. Our waiter was kind and attentive but he had our table and a few tables scattered all over the restaurant... To me this seems counter productive it took approximately 20 minutes for our food to come out and it was cold they forget the extras I asked for and completely forgot my 7 year olds food. They did however take it off the bill. The place is busy and there is a bunch of waiters and waitresses that are running around crazy it would be easier if they set up a system to work together they should also consider larger trays for clearing off tables they run back and forth 5 times to clear one small table. I will say even though Courtney was not our waitress she made every wrong right and I will go back for her!!! And ask to be placed in her section ONLY

Great food. Tasty, unique and healthy! Great staff, too. Only complaint is that they couldn't tell us the nutritional content of their juice of the day. We were told to check the website, but it was not there. Just wanted to know about the carb and sugar content of the juice.

Perfect serving size, loved the fresh day glow juice. The Key West crepeggs was fantastic. Kids loved their fresh orange juice and gigantic chocolate chip pancakes. Atmosphere is nice too.

Must be a bad day, but my first experience wasn't that great. Service is too slow. And they put too much cheese in their scrambles.

Very nice place in the community, I will definitely go back! I had the "Tri-Athlete" and it was delicious. The staff was very courteous and attentive so I hope that doesn't change.

I was thrilled when I stumbled upon a brand new First Watch in Bowie. Yesterday was opening day! We frequent the location in Phoenix, AZ when visiting family. The food is great and health-forward. The service was friendly and accessible. I love the clean decor-- stainless steel and wood. We'll be there as often as possible.

I've been twice this week and both times it was so good! I got the parma hash on Sunday dine in and the bacon and onion hash to go today. Both we're delicious! The staff is very friendly and polite. This might become a regular spot as I'm right across the street.

A wonderful find. Everything was fresh and very well prepared. Our server was exceptional as was the food. I would highly recommend trying this gem a number of times just because the menu is so diverse. We will be back, many times I'm sure.

Just what bowie needed! I just moved to the area and have been looking for a go-to breakfast joint. The place has a refined hipster gleam. The breakfast is flavorful and not greasy.

This is a welcomed addition to breakfast and brunch restaurants in Bowie. The food is great, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I got in and out and was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance. I'll definitely go back again.

The decor and vibe is nice. Ample seating and lots of natural lighting. We weren't blown away by the food though. My husband had the Greek omelette. He liked it but felt it wasn't as "loaded" with the goods as he's had elsewhere. The "seasoned" potatoes honestly seemed to be something dumped from a frozen bag and heated up. Very bland, no seasoning. Perfectly cubed potatoes didn't seem so in-house made. I had the veggie omelette. It tasted pretty good. I liked the broccoli added for crunch and the tomato for some sweetness. Again, the potatoes weren't that great. We also ordered two multigrain pancakes which were really tasty and fluffy. The day glow drink is very nice. Just the perfect blend of ingredients to not overpower one another. Too much ice in the drink though. If you think about it, you pay $4 for half a cup of the drink, the other half with ice. Unless you drink the whole thing right away, it'll water down and lose it's taste. Despite it being a quiet and slow morning when we went, we didn't get our food right away. About a twenty minute wait, so that explains my drink watering down. Overall, it's a nice addition to the Bowie area but we just weren't blown away like most reviewers here.

Food was good. However, they were completely out of their signature juices. The wait was long and the place was a mess..dirty tables and floors. I don't think they have enough staff for the amount of customers they have. I would give the food 4 stars but the rest a 1.

Decided to try today for first time with carryout. Ordered the "bowl" of tomato basil soup and the lemon chicken quinoa bowl. Was so disappointed with my order of the soup -- came in a typical 8 oz. Styrofoam cup but only half full. No more than 4 oz. I expected a "bowl" -- usually at least 8 oz. When I got home and pulled it out was so disappointed that I paid that much for so little. It was ok tasting -- no better or worse than I've had at most places. I can get a better tasting Tomato Basil soup at Safeway for half the cost -- delicious. However, the Lemon Chicken Quinoa bowl was quite tasty and would order that again. I'm trying this place again with a friend for an "in-dining" experience -- hope it goes well. The staff was pleasant enough and my wait for the carryout was only @10 minutes.

Great food, fresh and delicious. Healthy too. Staff is very pleasant. At times they seemed very busy ( Sat. morning) they seated you relatively fast. Maybe, 10 minutes. Reminds you somewhat of a Bus Boys and Poets. Glad to have this choice in Bowie.

This has to be one of my favorite brunch spots in Maryland. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch options that are pretty reasonably priced. They opened recently and we visited it right when it opened. It was so nice, hardly anyone was there and there was no wait. Now the word has gotten our and they're super busy! We went there yesterday for a birthday brunch (they give you a free entree for your birthday month which is pretty awesome). We had a bit of a wait, about 30 minutes for three people, but that's our fault for going at 11:30 on a Sunday morning. They have coffee out for you while you wait which is really nice. I highly recommend this place for a great fresh meal that will satisfy every time!

Just left from treating my husband to a pre-father's day breakfast. We've eaten here before. First Watch is a nice addition to the Bowie area. Everything today was as expected where the food is concerned. The service staff however clearly needs a refresher on customer service. Our waitress was very cryptic, monotone, barely cracked a smile and at times was borderline rude. A little goes a long way. I couldn't enjoy my meal and had to box it up to go because the meal consisted of my husband and I wondering why she couldn't make more of an effort. Another waitress stopped by at the end and pleasantly asked if she could get our plates out the way and asked us if we enjoyed our meal. That little gesture alone was glorious! I had to ask her what for her name so I could write a review. Thank you Jasmine for making me leave with a good feeling!!! First watch needs more servers like you :)...

What a great concept. I'm so thrilled to have a breakfast/lunch option that won't break my bank OR my wallet. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and mouth watering food is a winning combo for this girl. Well done to all of the people who made this possible, you'll be seeing me again!

I've visited FW two times prior to writing this review but only wrote about the first visit, which was excellent! This visit left a lot to be desired. The food was delicious, my issue was the service. It was bad. We didn't have to wait long for our table but once we were seated we waited about 20 minutes before our server came to our table. While taking our order they looked everywhere but at us. They definitely were not interested in taking our order. I'm not going to single out and provide the name of our server, I don't think this is the proper forum to publicly criticize someone. This is an institutional problem and should be addressed by FW management. With that said, we were very disappointed in our experience. I want to include that I visited the restroom and it was filthy. There was urine all over the floor and the toilet seat. I would've expected more from FW. Hopefully they'll take my comments into consideration for future changes.

Wallet time! The service was slow and became friendly when the bill came. The food was okay. Nothing remarkable. Everything is a la carte. The decor is plain. The seating is not comfortable. Oh and if you need syrup .... Get ready to pay for it!Really??? Breakfast for 2 was $76.00 before tip! Breakfast!

Upset that I didn't know this gem was here since January and only found out last month. Since then I have been there every weekend. I love breakfast and the cool, relax and healthy environment makes this place A class. Quite often, especially in the warmer months I scour the Internet for a breakfast place only to have drive miles and now this is right at my back door. The service is prompt, (well I am usually one of their 1st customers on Saturdays) coffee is lovely, fruits are fresh and that kale juice is a health wonder in a glass. And there is free wifi, I can't love this place enough. Great breakfast and ambience.

Tried this place for the first time today. The food was excellent! I had the breakfast combo. The eggs were so fresh that I believe they must have chickens out back laying them. The potatoes were fresh and the bacon was thick and crispy as requested. I also ordered one blueberry pancake. I was skeptical about what a Multi Grain pancake would taste like. Was pleasantly surprised how fluffy and flavorful the pancake was. My son had a waffle and demolished it. My daughter's Cobb Salad looked great. She said it was not enough Lettuce. The coffee was excellent. The only complaint is they did not have Equal. Our new breakfast spot.

They built it and now we are coming!! I was there at 9am on Fri morning. Amazing to see the foot traffic. Decor here is cool with neat messages hand drawn on chalk boards. Very southern like and classy. Very clean and neat. I had pecan pancakes which were great. Not too sweet or thick. Just like I like it. Eggs were ok. I had the scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. The pancakes were the standout. Server/host very friendly and polite. I think the watch out here is the staffing. It looks like they can get busy and the wait can be longer than us impatient DMV folks like. I know it's a new business so I understand the staffing budgets and tough recruiting and retention of staff. However I doubt most will consider that. Also only saw one checkout register. This place will be jumping so probably need to add another. I think this is the new hotspot for breakfast in this area so forget about IHOP, Bob Evans and etc. Oh yeah the water jars are so southern. Love it! Menu has great variety. A bit Pricey in my opinion but quality better so guess that makes since. Plus feels more homemade. Just staff up to handle all the new clients that will come. Good Luck and I would recommend this spot.

I was actually there around a month ago and had someone remind me to do a review. Had not heard about First Watch until Bowie location opened. Have been to the Breakfast Shoppe and thought that was really the best one around but First Watch is exceptional. More pricey than most but for the occasional treat more than worth it!

Maybe 2 1/2 stars. Somewhere between Meh and A-ok. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Ordered the Trifecta with scrambled, bacon and waffle. Didn't seem like two eggs. Just two strips of bacon. Waffle was just ok, a bit on soft/soggy side. The amount of fruit topping for waffle was pitifully small. Barely enough for 1/4 waffle. Warm syrup was a nice touch. The problem was this meal and a cup of coffee wasn't worth $12.49 plus tip. Was not a good value. The food was not special enough to pay twice what you would a Denny's. Was scouting this place out as place for family brunch. Will probably keep looking.

Went to an unexpected place to eat breakfast. It is in the Bowie Town Center. We had a fantastic breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice and pancakes, the size of a large dinner plate, made with cranberries that was so very good. Also turkey sausage a nice add to this menu. My friend came down from Ct.to fill herself up with crab. She had the most delicious crab over eggs that filled her up, for breakfast anyway. I will be going to be going back to become a regular here. You should try it. You will be pleasantly surprised!

slow, poorly planned, just ok food. 24 minutes from getting seated to get coffee. seating is a mess. They have no host or the host is the cashier. And he or she walks away. So people accumulate trying to pay and trying to get seated next to the door. Really stupid. Back to reliable Bob Evans

First Watch is now open!!!! Now we don't need to drive to Laurel. We were the second customers this morning. We had the Breakfast Scramble (Scrambled eggs, spinach, ham and melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack on multigrain toast. Topped with hollandaise and served with fresh fruit and fresh, seasoned potatoes) and Market Hash (Two eggs* any style atop a hash of fresh, seasoned potatoes, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, onions and red peppers with spinach, melted mozzarella and herbed goat cheese). Both were outstanding!! Great food and great staff - a winning combination!

Outstanding. Nicely varied menu with a lot of healthy choices along with traditional and creative options. Waitstaff very accommodating, friendly, attentive. We eat at a First Watch often in the Kansas City area when visiting family, at least 20 times, and it's always good. Looks like the Bowie location measures right up to what we've come to experience over the years in KC. We'll be back!

My first time visiting First Watch was not a good experience. I went with 4 friends today, a Saturday, at noon. Not only did we have to wait a very long time to be seated, but it also took almost 20 minutes to get our food order taken. At that point, we still had not received our drinks that we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Only two friends ordered soft drinks - the rest of us were drinking water. After we all placed our food orders, it was clear that they were severely understaffed, as we had to hunt down servers to get our two drinks delivered. We then waited an additional 30 minutes to get our food, so at this point we had already been seated for over an hour. The food came out in 3 different shifts. I got my food in the first shift and, to be polite, I did not eat until my friends were all served theirs (at least 5 minutes passed between shifts). It then took another 10 minutes to get the child size chocolate chip pancake served to my friend's toddler. As if the long wait wasn't bad enough, one friend found two hairs cooked into her banana granola pancake. It took at least 10 minutes for our server to return to our table for us to point out the issue. When we did, he took her plate back to the kitchen without asking if she wanted a replacement or not. Shortly after, he returned with all of our receipts stating that he took the cost of the pancake off her bill, but kept the sausage and fruit since she ate those. My friend had only eaten about a quarter of her pancake, and there was no offer to make her a new one. When we expressed our disappointment with the situation, the server got a bit aggressive and asked, "So what you're saying is you've never had a hair in your food before? Because these things happen." I was absolutely appalled that he could make an excuse for why two hairs were cooked into a pancake. Yes it is true that accidents happen, however every effort is usually made to accommodate the customer... including replacing the meal item, which was never offered. His complete lack of remorse or embarrassment with the situation really upset me. It is by no means normal to have hairs cooked into your food, nor is it something that should be looked at as an acceptable practice in the food industry. Needless to say, I will never visit this restaurant ever again.

Visited for the first time today and both my friend and I enjoyed our lunches. Our only negative note was that having to pay at the front was a bit confusing. There was not a clear spot for the checkout line since people are also waiting for tables and entering the door in that same space. Overall it was a good experience and we look forward to going again to sample more of the menu!

Discovered First Watch based on co-worker comments, so glad I was noisy and ease dropping ... The Avacodo Omlette was amazing, suggest grabing a slice to French Toast as a side. The waitress was very attentive and offered 'everything' (water, juice, etc) she even took note I use Splenda and brought out extra as I ran low. Look forward to a return visit.

SECOND AND LAST VISIT 1.Service-Horrible 2.Food-Undercooked 3.Ambiance-Great I wanted to like this place mainly because of the farm to table concept and it is local. Anytime you leave a place still hungry, that is not good. My server took a 20 minute hiatus after the kitchen was supposedly cooking a 5 minute waffle over. The server was apologetic and offered to get the manager to take off the bill... but it wasn't just the kitchens fault...she never followed up, offered me anything else to drink or just mention that there was a delay. I still tipped her and told the manager about my experiences but this place will not last on service or food alone... it needs a serious intervention.

Second time visiting did not change my mind for the better. Despite being offered a free meal because the first time I ate here things did not go well, I decided to try again just as a regular customer paying for everything. Sadly I have to say that even though the place was only 20% full the service was really slow. Even the lady sitting at the booth behind me asked if I'd been waited on. The potatoes came out half cooked half basically raw. The restaurant brought out batch of seasoned potatoes after being told about the potatoes. The scrambled eggs were pretty good. I wanted to like this place but it just disappoints me. Sorry

NUTSHELL: I should have been eating food, but instead this place ate my time. Good food when it eventually gets to you. Lack luster server skills. If you're a niche restaurant only open for breakfast and brunch, then be ready for our business during those hours. (See update below, though) MORE DETAIL: The food here impressed me, really it did. So did the atmosphere, including the rustic wood decor and the homey look of glass milk bottles that serve as a "carafe" of water. It's a charming place to look at and sit in. No problems with the ambience. And the food was really very good! I've tried 4 different menu items on 3 separate trips here, and enjoyed them all very much. The service though, oh, the service. A pattern of Yelp reviews has people saying, "It took over 2 hours to get food, and I practically had to flash my boobs to get a glass of water within an hour," and someone from customer service replies, "We're sorry that happened. That experience is not what we're about!" But when it keeps happening... it sort of is what you're about. Until you change it. I'm not interested in coming back until you pinky promise you've retrained or rehired the management/server/kitchen staff and now things are better. Our first visit we were seated right away and we decided relatively quickly what we wanted to eat, but then we waited and waited for our food (pancakes) with no updates on when it would come out. I forgave a newly opened (at the time) establishment for taking longer at first, since I know it can take a while for a staff to get a good working rhythm together. So we returned twice more. No better the second time, and the 3rd time we came with friends, promising tasty food only to have the server take 20 MINUTES to get us water. We asked 3 times for water and each time he'd nod and never return. It seemed like he was running from table to take in no particular order, consistently skipping ours. My husband went to the host up front to ask about water and he was unnecessarily short with my husband saying that he didn't have anything to do with getting water. A coffee was ordered, but after the water took so long we decided to stop asking about where the coffee was. When someone finally came to take our order he was pleasant, but unhelpful or maybe just slow. Two of us had to reorder after 10 minutes because the kitchen was out of something. My reorder was fine, but my friend ordered something else only to be told a few minutes later that **that** was also unavailable. It wouldn't have been as bad if they'd told us right away, but it took too long to let us know that we couldn't have what we ordered. So my friend's food came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's and he ended up just boxing most of it because we had to go. All told, it took 20 minutes to badger them into giving us water, ten more minutes to take our orders the first time, and another ***45 MINUTES*** to get us our food after ordering. Unacceptable, guys. This is a management problem and a training problem. Like I said: I might give it a try again, but only if I check current (especially updated) reviews and people are like, "This time my food was hot, and I didn't have to flash my boobs to get water, and somehow they cooked my eggs in less than 40 minutes!" So get with it, First Watch people! Because I want your food, but not **this** badly. ***UPDATE*** Customer service quickly reached out to apologize and have us give them another chance. I'll update my review as soon as we revisit the restaurant. Fingers crossed.

Been really hoping that First Watch would become my go to weekend breakfast/brunch "spot". They aren't ready just yet. Maybe I'm being a little picky, I don't know. On each of my three visits their free wifi hasn't been available w no explanation. On today's visit I come away w these questions. Should you have to ask for water? Should you have to ask for butter and jelly w your toast? Should you have to ask for syrup w your pancakes? Maybe just my server. So the food! Bryce had pancakes and eggs and was satisfied. I had steak florentine, my eggs didn't seem complete and my steak wasn't seasoned at all. So I'll eat at FW again but I don't expect to have a table named b/c I'm there so often.

First Watch has been on my radar for quite some time. All my VA peeps would chat about it and post yummy pics to entice you to make a trip down to Fairfax County. Well thanks to my fellow Yelpers (Adrienne, Rae, Toya) organizing brunch here at the new Bowie location, my wait was over. I went to the early church service to ensure I made it in time! During my initial visit I ordered the Trifecta. The Belgian waffle was light and airy as promised with a nice crisp. The waffle had a light coating of powdered sugar, topped with a dollop of cinnamon butter, and served with a side of berry compote. It's good and sweet (without syrup) plus my over medium cage free eggs were cooked perfectly. That's no common feat. I'm so used to people overcooking my eggs so I was pleasantly surprised. On subsequent visits, I tried the avocado, bacon, hash substituting the bacon for turkey sausage. It was really satisfying and the fresh OJ was great. At a later date, I tried the healthy turkey egg white omelet with spinach, tomatoes, and feta. I had to return multiple times to ensure I had enough information before developing my review. Service is consistently good even though I've never had a server introduce herself and share her name. They kind of just walk up and start talking. Maybe it's their policy. Any who, First Watch offers farm to table freshness at a great value. I'm looking forward to my next visit! -The line to pay is always a slow process for me. First Watch should invest in handheld credit card processing units.

Came in on a Friday morning and was promptly greeted. Not much business but still vibrant. The place is decorated in the crafty homemade Starbucks style grassroots fashion. Lots of buzzwords in the menu and on the wall like "local grown" and "fresh squeezed". Interesting and refreshing breakfast selections, I will definitely be back to try some other offerings. Had a longer review prepared, but I found out this place is a chain, not a mom and pop. That's not a knock against the place, but they have advertising teams, and don't need my help. It's tasty, the service was superb. If you were thinking of Bob Evans or IHOP, skip them and try this place, worth the visit.

Hallelujah!!! Excuse me while I do my praise dance!! Finally, a wonderful breakfast restaurant has invaded the Bowie area. All I can say is, WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD! For years I've complained to my family about how the area lacks a really decent breakfast restaurant. Sure, we have the usual suspects in IHOP, Panera and Bob Evans, but I've been there, done that and bought a t-shirt. First Watch is a breath of fresh air to my taste buds. Focusing on fresh vegetables and fruits as the main star, FW's main focus is fresh and healthy menu options, with a twist of power packing flavor. Located in the Bowie Town Center (actually it's directly behind the Safeway and a few doors down from the Next Day Blinds store) First Watch specializes in breakfast and lunch foods. Open daily from 7am to 2:30pm, this restaurant packs a lot of healthy flavor in every bite of your meal. When I arrived, I was greeted by a server who seated me immediately. After ordering and tasting the food, I knew immediately that this was going to be my new go-to breakfast spot. The omelette I ordered was cooked to perfection! It was light and fluffy and even included fresh herbs!! Deep sigh! Who puts fresh herbs in their omelettes??? FW does and it was fabulous. The potatoes that accompanied my meal were even seasoned perfectly. Even the English muffin was great!! My server was friendly and answered every question I could imagine about the food. All of the staff I encountered was nice and spoke to me when they passed. The decor is rustic, yet makes you feel like you're at your grandparents home. They have free Wi-Fi and its a very warm and welcoming environment. I've heard great things about their lunch, so will be back soon to try it out. As far as I'm concerned, FW can do no wrong in my book. I can't think of one thing that could've been better. PS try the Day Glow juice (carrots, oranges, lemons and ginger juice) it's the perfect pick me up.

I LOVE First Watch! The kale smoothie is DELICIOUS (and I'm not at all a fan of cucumber) and their breakfast is healthy, tasty and more than reasonable. I have even gone to the Rockville, MD location which was open well before Bowie. Once they came to Bowie, I became a bit of an addict! :( Don't you dare judge me!! DELICIOUS!!

What a pleasant surprise. This place has been on my radar for a while and I'm so glad we finally tried it out. There was a 25 minute wait and they texted us when our table was ready. They also offer complimentary coffee in the waiting area, which I appreciated. My entire table was in the mood for Belgian waffles. The waffles were light, crisp and served with a warm mixed berry compote that I really enjoyed. They do have syrup if you prefer. It comes out warm in the bottle which is an excellent touch. My husband ordered breakfast potatoes that were just okay, some of them were underdone and a little under seasoned. The bacon was good, nothing too exciting. To drink I decided on the kale tonic which was delicious. The staff was very warm and friendly. We will return.

This is a rarity but I hope that all who read this take notice. I am not one to put a restaurant out there like this but this needs to be done in keeping with the true Yelp spirit of honest reviews. First off it was Mother's Day and a decision was made to treat a special woman out at First Watch for breakfast. Our party of three arrived at about 1030 and I was told that it would be a 30-45 minute from the hostess/waitress. The waitress took my phone number and placed it in the system and told me that once a table was ready I would get a text. Please take note of my picture showing the first text I received from the restaurant at 1036. It asked for you to download an app known as NoWait which tracks your progress and others to let you know when your table will be ready. Since it was a 45 minute wait we decided to walk around the Bowie Town Center to kill time. We came back to this establishment when the app told us we had 7 people ahead of us. Upon our arrival you could see the frustration on people's faces as some of the people who were either waiting for food or waiting to be seated were still in the restaurant from our arrival. This should have been a big clue. A gentleman next to me asked me how long I was waiting and at this point it had been 87 minutes. I noticed the couple behind me checking their phone as they downloaded the app and were checking it. At this point I was told that I had 1 person in front of me and the couple had three people. A large group of 8 were sat before me and once again that was a message. Still this was Mother's Day and it was about my guest and not me on her special day. I went to the counter to check on the situation and I truly believe no one knows how to use the system that this app is connected to as I rarely saw anyone checking the tablet that my cell number was typed into. The couple who were checking their phone got seated before me and I was seated after them. Long story short I never received a text and if I did not ask we would still be waiting along with the other couple. My party was not escorted to our table instead we were pointed to it. Our waitress Denae came to take our order 102 minutes into our ordeal. At this point I was very hungry and at a point I just needed to get some food as I was feeling a bit weak and needed to take medicine with a meal. I actually went to the store next door to get some food in order to take my medicine as we only saw our waitress three times during our meal and I will get to that next. As I mentioned earlier we entered this place at around 1030. We placed our orders and my guest was very specific in what not to include on the meal for very good reasons. Our food came out at 1301 a full 2 hours and 30 minutes after we entered this place. Denae was writing what not to put on the meal and what do you know the exact thing specified not to put on the meal was on the meal. This is what we get after 2.5 hours of wait a big "Who cares what the customer wants?" I just went ahead and ate my meal but the meal for one of my guest was completely wrong and the eggs were not even cooked completely on the meal for another guest. The pancakes were cold but at least that was removed from the meal as a new order were put in to get the correct food that was supposed to come out. When Denea said she was going to put in another order we seriously thought about saying no from what we saw. Here is the kicker. We told Denea we know it is not her fault but she said in her own words that this "is a constant complaint from customers of how slow the service is" and after reading more Yelp reviews this is a consistent problem. Its one thing to know of a problem but not to do anything about it is piss poor management. I believe this place is understaffed and some of the staff could help others out as I saw a few guys who worked there chatting in the corner on their cellphones while tables remained dirty in need of clearing and cleaning while people waited. This warrants more than a Yelp review and if it was not for the fact of it being a Sunday I would have called their corporate office number. We were offered two coupons to come back for a buy one get one free on an entrée but of course we did not accept this offer from this once and last time experience. The point was to take a special person out to enjoy a nice meal but it was almost 3 hours of pure frustration. If this place gets any return customers I am surprised because I will never be in that category and embarrassed that I endured almost 3 hours in this place. If you do not believe just look at my pictures. It would not be a review without talking about the food. I ordered a Day Glow and it was watered down and I really only ate the Market Hash as I was at a point where I just need to have some food due to how hungry I was and to take some medication. If only I could 0 stars.

I'm going to give First Watch a solid two stars. Not because the food is good and good for you but because most of the servers and staff walk like they are in quicksand. The problem with hiring most young folks at this age is that they feel so "entitled" they don't know how to wait on customers or provide good customer service. Any time the manager is moving faster than the busboy, the busboy needs to be fired. Pull up your pants, get rid of the crazy hair and tattoos , stop waiting for your next text and WORK!

Not sure if the staff is comfortable with me because service is not as good as when we first came We waited and waited and waited and some of the staff seemed irritated when we called them because my sons sausage were burnt to a crisp and they gave me the wrong pancakes.

First time here, had the omlette Bacado and it was delicious. Coffee and OJ was fresh and delightful. Service was on point. Def coming back to try the rest of their menu items. The venue has a nice hip & contemporary feel.

This is the third time I have been here, and I love it. Not too many spots in this area for this quality food. And the price point is excellent. This time I got the Floridian French toast, it's topped with kiwis, strawberries and bananas. I Always get the kale tonic, very refreshing . It's very busy on the weekend, but there is usually bar type seating which is available if your single or small party. Great addition to the area!

Checked out First Watch this morning...I like the different selections on the menu. My daughter and I kept it basic. She had the pancakes and bacon. They were great! They're huge! She ordered two but could only finish one and that was wig some help from me...lol. We really enjoyed the taste of the pancakes. I ordered the French toast and bacon. It was good. However, I liked the pancakes better. We will definitely return. One thing I didn't understand was why the floor was so sticky. Granted we were wearing flip flops and it was a hot day, but if we stood in one place for too long, it was an effort to pick up our feet!

First, let me say that the restaurant was so open, with a airy ambiance. I liked the variety of seating to accommodate a variety of groups or solo customers. I decided to try the Day Glow first because of reading all the positive reviews on Yelp. It did not disappoint. It was flavorful, fresh, and refreshing. I ordered the Trifecta.. Which was waffles/ pancakes, eggs and your chick of meat. I chose the waffle and bacon, however the waffle was a bit soggy. I think I will go back, but try something for lunch.

Good food and a true good find. This is a new place about 6 months old and so far, so tasty. I ate a bacon & cheddar pancake (you heard me) and it was delicious! I also enjoyed the eggs Benedict which was tasty too. All-in-all a place you must try. Do expect a bit of a wait, due to the newness.

From the moment I walked in to First Watch, I felt energized. The decor is a bright, farm fresh rustic meets modern vibe, quite appealing. In fact, it was the pics that caught my eye on Yelp. Thanks Yelpers! I love that I live in Chicago and yet I was able to introduce my sister here in Bowie to a new yummy and fun spot...who I'm sure would've discovered it on her own eventually, but I get the bonus points this time. Win! For this initial visit, we were two adults and 5 kids ranging from 15 months to 12 years. Kudos to our kind and patient server for making us feel so welcome despite some slightly complex soda/lemonade/mix refill requests which might induce eye rolls in lesser servers. Our server was so nice and answered all our questions with knowledge and patience. And the food? Well, it was on point. I'd say the stars of the show for our table were the pancakes. They are large and delicious, and they offer some yummy flavors like carrot cake and banna nut crunch; and they do so without being cloyingly sweet, a sort of more healthy take but losing nothing in the flavor department. Also noteworthy is the Day Glow juice. Go ahead and get your fruit and veggie servings for the day right here with this beauty! It's a yummy $4 blend of juices including orange & other citrus, carrot and a zinger of ginger! Delicious-- and the name fits, mine actually seemed to glow. It's a great start to your day! They have a nice menu variety, many things I'd like to try. This visit I kept the calories low with the Tri-athlete combo of an egg white omelette, fresh fruit, and an English muffin. That's a Christina breakfast standard right there. It was yummy, but here is my one complaint: it was a cremini mushroom omelette (also peppers and onions, topped with salsa) but there were literally 4 teensy creminis in there. At first I thought they had forgotten completely, but then I noticed the 4 dots. Haha I'm a mushroom fiend, which is partially why I chose it, so normally, this wouldn't fly with me as it didn't match the description as a first listed ingredient. But it was still yummy, and as I said our server was kind and we were all enjoying our breakfasts so, like Elsa, I "Let it go". I'm sure had I spoken up, they would have rectified the issue. That aside, all good things. And boy do I have my eye on that Chickenchanga! Whipped egg omelette (subbing for a tortilla) rolled and filled and drizzled with something, but it all sounded good. Next time! All in all, a really great addition in aesthetic, taste, service and affordability. I think they may still be getting their stride, and working out a few minor kinks as a new business, but great accommodating service so far. Really looking forward to future visits at First Watch. Give them a try for breakfast or lunch; I think you will enjoy!

What more can I say, this place was just as advertised; very good!! From the moment we entered, it was great!! My daughter and I came in on a Saturday morning before it got crowded and were seated right away. We were seated and my daughter was given the crayons with her menu and she was pleased and occupied. She wanted the children's chocolate chip pancake platter. It came with 2 pieces of bacon and a plate sized multigrain chocolate chip pancake. I ordered the chickinchanga at the recommendation of Rae M. who happened to be there with her family!! My daughter as I loved every morsel that touched our lips!! The food was amazing and the service was good!! This place is a new favorite of mine!! Will be going back as often as I can!

The food here is really good. Market hash for breakfast, or the sandwich with avocado (forget the name). Just like the Tom Petty song though, "the waaaaiting is the hardest part". All 3 of our visits we have had long waits at the door. One of those times they were busy, so it was expected. Another time, we didn't see any employees at the front for at least 5 minutes. All times we had to wait after being seated for even a greeting. When finally greeted, nothing was brought to the table by the server (not even water). We were one party of approximately 6 in the store at breakfast on our first visit, and waited about 15 minutes for a server, then another 10 minutes for her to bring us coffee. On the aforementioned busy visit after finally being sat, we had to stop a random employee to ask how to order/be waited on. A server showed up with a pad ready to take the order, before offering us any beverages. We chalked the first couple visits up to the place being new, and the employees finding their groove. Third visit made us leery. Bottom line is, we will try this place at least one more time. Again, the food is good, service is just sub par (on multiple occasions).

Farm to table, yes fresh everything. This is the perfect breakfast/lunch spot with free Wi-Fi open from 7am to 2:30pm I had the Avocado, Bacon and Tomato HashTwo eggs-scrambled on top of a hash the seasoned potatoes, avocado, bacon and tomatoes with melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Very good! The staff is so nice, attentive, and pleasant. The restaurant just has this happy bright aura about it. Is this PG, is it really? Felt like I had died and landed in some parallel universe. The price point is excellent-my breakfast was less than $10. I got on the mailing list, and the first coupon is buy one breakfast get the other free. Yup. Free. First Watch is going to become one of my First Stops. Luv this place!

Very good food and really nice, helpful staff--plus a great atmosphere. If you're really hungry you may need an extra side or dessert with some of the dishes, but prices are pretty reasonable, so I'm not going to call that a negative.

First visit at First Watch and It's really a 3.5 today but will be a 4-4.5 soon. I'll definitely be back as the food is really good and staff friendly. They seemed a bit overwhelmed this morning resulting in long wait times to be met at front and at table-side by server. I had the "Chickichanga." It was excellent. Fresh ingredients and not your typically smothered or enormous breakfast burrito. I look forward to exploring more of the menu. This area desperately needed a restaurant like this, so let's hope the work out the kinks, stay relevant and profitable so they stick around.

I love this restaurant and have had the same thing three times. Today the dish was horrible! The potatoes were burnt the bacon was burnt and the eggs were overdone. Whoever the cook is on Thursdays at 11:00 should be fired. The waitress never came back to ask how things were so I didn't complain. There is a lot of potential I hope it does go downhill and they close. But this meal was not good. I only hope they get better cooks that care about the outcome.

I wanted to default to the Mother's Day crowd for the poor service but alas, there's a deeper problem here. I'm no fun when I'm hangry but I maintained a lady-like demeanor as I patiently....hungrily waited to be seated after 2 hours. It was a downward spiral from there. Provided my drink option (Day Glow juice was tasty) and waited 16 more minutes only to send one back because it was wrong. 45 more minutes for food that was presented to me cold and eggs that were wet. I'll pass on the salmonella, not trying to be sick from eating eggs that were improperly prepared. Every item my son asked not to be on his omelet was there in abundance. I'll give my hostess credit she did give him a bowl of fruit to nibble on as a new omelet was made. The second omelet came out correct but by then hangry had taken over. I just don't understand how you present cold food. The carrot cake pancake was good and probably is the bomb.com if it was at it's correct temperature. I have to give some serious thought into coming back here. Maybe it was the day or the time but I found myself annoyed at parties larger than mine arriving and departing before I had even been seated (eyes rolling). Management may want to seriously look into how many of their employees know how to "properly" utilize the app they have. It seemed like a shortage of employees to take and deliver orders. At one point the cashier even pitched in and was seating a family. I keep telling myself that change is gonna come....sigh

Been here twice, a month apart. Both times exact same experience. Order food and drinks together. Spend 30 min waiting on drinks and food. Drinks show up with food. For a $4 kale tonic or dayglow drink it should come before food. Yes, we did flag another waitress for water since there is glasses on the table awaiting a water bottle for the table. Is it that hard to greet the table with water? I digress. I would wait 30 min for some meals, breakfast is not one of them. Food is not bad, but not worth any such wait. But it is bowie and sadly can be a service standard hard to overcome. Crappy service and slow food. First watch has been open long enough to iron out these wrinkles already. I might eat here again if I have a girlfriend I have ALOT of catching up to do. And maybe bring my own drink in with me. Too bad because it has nice atmosphere and concept.

Friendly and attentive service. The food was delicious and can't wait to go back. They have a lot of options and interesting, fresh combinations for both breakfast AND lunch. The restaurant itself is very clean, warm, and inviting with modern decor. I'm so happy we have a delicious and fresh fast food place offering up lots of healthy vegetable packed menu items in Bowie.

I normally don't write reviews but I was very disappointed with my recent experience. This was my second time here and the only reason I can back is because the food was good and I wanted healthier options. With that being said its hard to get that if you are never acknowledged by the server. The first time I came here the service was really slow. It was slower this morning at 10:30 and I was never even told someone would be with me. You cannot continue to operate an establishment like this if you want people to comeback. My next First Watch experience will be in Fairfax, hopefully they can pretend to care. Still Hungry Diner.

Delicious food, however the service is lacking. Wonderful ambiance. The service tends to be pretty slow and the wait staff is nice enough, but not super attentive.
