Good pizza sold by the slice. The sit down bar is fine for fast lunch but not a sit down with wait staff restaurant. I am a fan. They do reheat the slices but the pizzas are not days old. Most New York pizzerias do the same thing. Not sure but I think the owner is on site most days.

Pizza is meh. Almost no sauce, too expensive per slice for what you get. I had a slice of pepperoni and sausage and a plain cheese. It's not that great but okay. I will most likely not come back. I prefer Vace's pizza better on the other side of Bethesda.

Corner Slice is a Quick Place to go for Great NY Pizza! This cool restaurant is a fun place to go with a simple menu and a dedicated staff. Order from them by phone as they deliver too. They have pizza and soft drinks, that's it! They keep it simple and do it well. Great Lunch Prices! Thanks Corner Slice! I've been there a few times and had good experiences. The last time, I called on the phone and it was ready when I arrived. They have three areas to eat at and plenty of napkins when I go there. They have a TV, which one reviewer was boycotting because of the news channel, but that's silly! My only "beef", so to speak, is that they need to fix the bathroom lock, fix the pacman machine, and leave the TV on the same channel when customers are watching it! It is directed at us, not the staff. I was interested in a news story but they muted the thing. Don't get me wrong though, it's a cool place to go and it will meet your expectations for a mid-day pizza take out. Enjoy Corner Slice!, Ben

Every year I purchase pizza from Corner Slice for an office party. I purchase 10 pizzas and most of them are their specialty pizzas. The pizza is really good; I never have anything but great reviews and feedback from everyone. However, this year they no longer take their online coupons which are still on their website for downloading and printing. If they no longer accept them then they need to be taken down from the website. He wasn't happy when I did give him the coupons and he kept asking are you sure we didn't talk about a discount over the phone? "No, you did not." I write everything down for goodness sakes...YOU DID NOT speak of a discount over the phone. So he did 10% off the whole bill which I believe was wrong, but I wanted out of there as fast as possible so I kept math skills to myself. Also, I am a 24 year old female and when I went to pick these pizzas up I was asked if I was a stripper. The manager literally asked this, hopefully it was in a joking way, however, he did this in front of a group of men. I was so uncomfortable and actually embarrassed which overall made me annoyed and want to instantly cancel the order. The reason why there were so many dollar bills was due to the fact that the pizza party is based on individual monetary donations from everyone partaking. It was a bit odd that he would say that, until I said no, "I am actually a government employee" and he placed on this odd looking smirk. I was over it. I do like to use this company for our annual pizza party but I will send the boys to pick the order up in the future. Regarding the pizza, I ordered: 3 Cheese Pizzas, 2 Pepperoni Pies, 2 Veggie Pies, 2 Meat Pies and 1 Spinach White Pie. The Spinach White Pie, Veggie and Meat pie have never been ordered before. I wanted the office to get a variety this year since I took over planning and I have to say all the specialty pies went first and we had two boxes of cheese pizzas left for them to eat tomorrow for lunch. My stars are based on costumer service, rather than the product.

Pretty decent NY-style pizza--the best I've had in Bethesda so far. Not the best I've ever had, but the staff is friendly and the location is super convenient to me. The pizzas are HUGE (20"?) which make the slices HUGE as well. If you sign up for their emails, you get a free slice. Nothing wrong with that!

  • Eric H.

Pretty good New York style pizza in a great location. Normally I'll eat pizza crust and all but I found myself struggling a bit with the slices I bought from them, as the dough seemed a little dry. Toppings are tasty though. The owner is friendly and the place has a bit of a retro feel to it. Good for a quick slice although a little pricey.

2.5 Stars, but decided to round down. Don't expect fresh pizza here unless you are ordering a full pie. The za's made ahead of time and simply reheated. I was pretty disappointed as the pizza was pretty thin and the toppings sparse (although they spread it out on the pizza to make it look like you are getting more then you really area). The location is convenient, but what did me in from probably not returning was the fact two slices of pizza cost me $9.50. Talk about profit margin. The interior is sparse and the presumable owner seemed to come off with an atitutde/sneer when ringing me up (it might be the same guy as South Street Steak). I'd come here in a pinch, but would not go out of my way. Pretty underwhelming.

We ordered 20 pizzas from these guys for my kid's 1st birthday party. I chose them because they were closest to the venue but they have a customer for life! Moalst importantly the pizza was amazing - the crust, the cheese, the sauce - all clearly fresh. Asides from the delicious pizzas (we got meat, veggie, pepp, and cheese) the staff was incredibly helpful and flexible. Can't wait to have this pizza again!!!

Best pizza around! I'm not in Bethesda often anymore but I always try to grab a slice when I'm passing thru. Always fresh and delicious.

Two and a half stars. Street parking and a small lot nearby. Two arcade games shoved against the wall where room is available, some seating inside and out. Lots of soda options in the fridge. Parmesan, oregano, and red pepper shakers. Legit sized pies. I enjoyed my slice of white more than I enjoyed the slice of pepperoni; though the dabs of ricotta didn't float my boat much, the cheese base was sufficiently pre-herbed. Reasonable amount of grease for both. Evenly thin crust that had a little crunch at the edges, but super bland as far as carb fixes go. Prices are a touch steep. While they can't offer the gourmet ingredients of a more upscale establishment, they outperform PdM in pizza quality and edge out M&O's for grease factor.

This pizza is so freaking fantastic!!! I'm from NY and it reminds me of being home! Owners are awesome too and they know their S*#t about making dough! Great job guys!!!

  • Kitti T.

I can't ethically support a place the doesn't serve water. Also, the slices are small and start at $3.50 for a slice of cheeze pizza. That's a bit over priced!

    (1)
  • Russ A.

Been going to The Corner Slice for 2 years and they never fail. The $8.00 2 slice and a soda special is the way to go to get your fix. My only suggestion to the owners (having worked in a NYC pizzeria myself, is to lose the "balanced" news on the TV and go with ESPN or live sports. The object is to make people WANT to come in, not drive them away in any way at all. You can watch what you want at home.

The pizza is unquestionably good and warrants a 4 to 5 star rating; however there has to be some level of accountability for the, as one reviewer put it, barebone setup and often unwelcoming customer service. They lack napkin dispensers, cups for water, utensils (was there one day and were running low, then completely out the next). they have a good product, but their lack of attention to what matters to customers may eventually cost them downstream. I for one may start seeking other alternatives.

  • Katherine A.

Huge, delicious slices of pizza that are reasonably priced considering how big they are. I especially recommend the buffalo chicken slices and the white pizza. They have good selection of reasonably priced soda cans. The guy who is usually manning the cash register is friendly and gets to recognize you if you go often enough. Not sure if he is the owner. Service is fast. While there are counters where you can sit inside, it's not a very comfortable or fun environment. I prefer to carry out for that reason. In addition, the pizza is a bit greasy, but that doesn't bother me. Finally, as some others have noted they just plop toppings onto already made cheese pizza then quickly heat it if you want a slice they don't have pre-made. While this doesn't bother me either, it is something to be aware of.

  • Nicole G.

Huge slices and tasty crust, but I just wish it were a bit cheaper. It's close to my office so I'll more than likely be a repeat offender here.

New York style pizza (thin, greasy, the way it should be) at Bethesda style prices (overly expensive). It was alright, but I know I could get the same quality pizza in New York for much less. One slice of cheese for $3.50? Not worth it, though the high prices seems to be a problem plaguing Bethesda, not just this business. It is convenient, so if you've only got a few minutes to grab food, this is a good bet.

I just moved here from New York. Yup, I have left Yelp NY and am Yelping DC. The thing about DC, and more appropriately, the thing about metro DC, (read: Bethesda), is that it makes me miss NY pizza. I miss the crunchy crust, the salacious sauces, and the cornmeal on the bottom. I miss getting a giant slice, folding it into a V, and chomping away while sipping at a cold can of coke. Corner Slice, you complete me. Good sauce, quick slices, large sizes, crunchy crusts and a coke to boot. OH! And Italian Ices! (*Caveat: Not open NY times. They close at 8 or something. No 2am slices for the hungry.)

    (4)
  • Alejandro M.

I was hungry after driving all day. The slices are HUGE!!! But I mage to finish two slices. Very tasty and staff is ok. I'll be back.

  • Peter S.

Are you kidding me???? What a monster slice! Found it on a whim, on my way through Bethesda... Superior sauce, high quality cheese, crust... Amazing! Blows away all the " slice" places in Adams Morgan. Price is right, staff is great. Clean and well cared for! If you wanna get your slice on... This is it!

    (5)
  • Scott O.

I just called at 7:11 PM to order a pizza and was told they are not taking any more orders. They close at 8PM on Mondays. Guys was extremely rude!

    (1)
  • Mike L.

Like many on here, I wish it was open later and $3.50 for a cheese slice is steep. However, the slices are huge and very good. And $7 for a couple slices doesn't seem so bad considering the area alternatives. I'm a fan.

Do you love NY style pizza? Do you love 2 slices of cheese pizza and a soda for $6.50? I know I do. Corner Slice, I love you! Overall, the perfect little corner pizza joint for lunch in Bethesda.

  • Frank G.

For the longest time, I figured The Corner Slice was a Mafia front company. I mean, this place is like *never* open. Why would you close at 9pm on weekends if not to run a bootlegging operation out of the back room? With so many bars in the area, you could make a *killing* off buzzed twenty-somethings looking to recreate the Adams Morgan "jumbo slice" experience. It's all just so silly. And closed on Sundays? During football season? Are you mad? Anyway, the pizza is meh; a bit on the greasy side, especially the pepperoni. The crust was quite good though, and the slices are large. (I was lucky enough to try it while down in Bethesda one weekday afternoon -- honestly, it's the only time I've ever seen the place open!) Seeing as how it's nearly impossible to eat here, I can't give it more than two stars.

  • Natalie F.

I stopped in here tonight for a couple of slices to bring home for dinner. The staff is very friendly and fast. Decent cheese slices and fantastic white pizza with spinach and artichoke. The inside is rather small, seems like they do a good lunch business and lots of take out. My only complaint is I found it to be rather pricey for what you get. Alas, this is Bethesda so it's to be expected.

The search for good pizza in DC continued today... I went here for lunch and got their lunch special, 2 slices and a drink. I got a slice of the white pizza and a slice of veggie. The pizza slices themselves were pretty big and tasted alright. It's the closest thing to traditional NY style pizza I've had here. What kills me is that the two slices and a drink cost me $9! The pizza was good, but definitely not THAT good. I'll stick with cheese next time and do the $6 special.

    (3)
  • Ryan B.

Really good pizza and very big slices. Definitely a great place for a quick bite. The only downside is that it closes way too early.

    (5)
  • N S.

3.5 stars. So the deal is that the crust at Corner Slice is, in fact, a New York crust. Has that nice crunch with out being crispy, but yet it just still doesn't totally hit! Not sure what's to blame. Sauce? Cheese? It's also a bit thicker than the classic NY slice which is practically paper thin. The prices definitely aren't NY. I had a slice of plain and a slice of white. The white was bland. The plain was just ok. Now is Corner Slice the best pizza? No. But is it one of your better options? Yes. By default. And to this poor Southerner who wrote this in his review: "Pizza is made fresh, and left to sit out for a while, and then re-heated and served. Not a great method for great pizza" You know not what you speak. At all.

SUPER RUDE! I went in for two slices and the owner was super rude! He didn't give a damn either. I can't believe how rude he was. Never returning.

Awful establishment. You can find much better pizza and service at numerous other pizza establishments within a short walk. The Manager ripped me off by taking my $20 bill and putting it under the cash-draw then pull out a $2 bill when making change that he said I gave him. I stated that was not correct as I had just pulled $200 from the ATM around the corner and gave him a crisp new $20 bill, not a well worn $2-bill. I quickly realized it was not worth the argument as he become combative and left the establishment. I will not return and encourage anyone who visits to be careful with your cash, the manager is less than honest. I should add that I have been a longtime customer but no more.

Corner Slice is fine for a quick slice or two if you're hungry... but it's nothing special, and a lot of the reviews are right - the hours suck. They close at 8 and aren't open on Sundays. Really? A pizza place? The pizza itself is pretty good, but it's been somewhat inconsistent. The crust, when good, is right on the money. But I've had their reheated slices with droopy crust as well. I think the prices are fine - 2 slices and a soda for $7 bucks isn't awful. The guys that run the place sure aren't very friendly. All in all, I'll continue to stop at Corner Slice if I want a quick slice, but I'll probably pass on ordering it delivered.

  • Leenee B.

I had a groupon, so I tried the place out. I'm a New Yorker at heart, so I was wary about expecting too much from a DC-area pizzeria. Pros The crust is the best and crispiest crust I have had in DC. The large pizza is 20 inches (much larger than other large pizzas in the area--so it might be worth the cost). There were a lot veggies on the veggie pizza Cons The cheese and sauce were not impressive. They are closed on Sundays. Bottom Line: I had a groupon so I really got 10$ off their large pizza ($23), which is why I went. Otherwise, I might just go by for a slice sometime after a few drinks in Bethesda.

  • Mike H.

This is pizza the way it should be. I am a fan of the big slices they sell. It is also nice that they heat the pizza up for you in the oven, however this is also their big negative. When you get the pizza it is scalding hot and you have to wait a bit before its even safe to eat. That aside though, this place is great for a quick bite and one slice SHOULD take care of most people.

  • Natasha S.

We had this pizza for a quick lunch gathering at work, and let me tell you I was impressed with the thin crust prior to tasting it. It's hard to find REAL thin crust in these parts. This pizza was a close match to the NY pizza I had in mind and love. After tasting the pizza, I felt the crust was decent, not as fresh as I would like. The sauce was a little too thick, almost like jarred tomato sauce. Additionally the cheese was seriously lacking. The best thing about the pizza is that they are very large slices.... comparable to NY pizza for sure. This is definitely not the best pizza in the area, but my company continues to serve this to us for free I will continue eating it. However, I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here. It ain't real NY pizza!

  • Dan R.

Finally got around to trying the Corner Slice and wasn't too impressed. Had a couple of slices and thought they were pretty good. The place is more convenient than Vace in Bethesda and they have a nice eclectic selection of pies. Not impressed by the customer service. I asked if I could have a cup of water and the guy told me that they had bottles and cans of drinks. I understand the urge to make an extra buck by not putting out free cups for water, but it doesn't build good will and the overall vibe wasn't too friendly either. Might go back but am certainly not in a rush.

  • Mike S.

As a Jersey boy I find the quality of pizza in the DC area to be lacking. The Corner Slice is some of the best pizza around this area. The slices are large, are heated up quick and have the perfect NY crust. Corner Slice loses one star because It's a little expensive and has terrible hours (closes too early).

    (4)
  • Didi G.

...STILL Great food and great neighbors!

    (5)
  • George P.

I usually go for dish pizza, but this place has converted me. The slices are huge and for $7 you get 2 and a coke. The pizza is my favorite in the area by far. At about 11am they are swamped with high schoolers but who eats lunch at 11 am anyway?!

    (5)
  • Maria L.

One word: meh. I was so excited at the prospect of NY style pizza, and while the pizza slice was HUGE, it was also a HUGE disappointment. I hate it when they reheat pre-cooked slices just to burn the bottom. No one likes burnt crust. :(

    (2)
  • Jed S.

It's not going to be mistaken for gourmet It's a bit on the greasy side, but the slices are big, it's quick, and it's tasty. Sorta reminds me of Papa Ginos from New England, in a good way! Use a napkin to get some of the grease off and it's a good pizza at a great price.

    (4)
  • Jonathan E.

Bad customer service. Owners are sooo unfriendly and their hours of operations make it seem like they are a front b/c they are never open. Closed on Sundays! Lol Not open in the evenings. Lol Did I mention how unfriendly and miserable their owners are?

    (1)
  • Timir D.

The only pizza place that I regularly visit in the Bethesda area. This is big slice new york style pizza. The only one of its kind around here. It is a tad bit expensive but not if you use the coupons (which is what they are there for). The owner and his brother are good guys if you get to know them and are not rude as some have said. This place is always full druing lunch but the wait is never long.

    (4)
  • Jessica F.

Everytime we stop and get a slice here (convenient to my shop, so easy for us to grab lunch on a busy Saturday) we ask ourselves why! The pizza is decent, not memorable but satisfying in a thin crust pizza way. So two stars. However - every time I go in to pick up lunch the service is SO breathtakingly surly and rude I want to march out and buy my slice elsewhere. Dagger that there are no other round the corner pizza slice places nearby! So negative 5 stars for crap service. We are cursed with Corner Slice's pizza slice monopoly!

    (2)
  • Zach S.

The Corner Slice, I think, is aptly named. Not because it's on the corner of two streets (it is), but because they have the slice market in the Norfolk Ave. area cornered. The folks at Corner Slice seem to recognize that they're the only quick pizza game in the area. The slices will hit the spot in a moment of 'Za withdrawal, but it's hardly an inspiring experience. It's a shame, too, because the location and storefront offers the perfect opportunity to create a Bethesda go-to pizza joint. Unfortunately, the Powers That Be seem more interested in using their market share as an excuse to provide average-at-best food at above average prices. TCS also seems to close as soon as possible during the week, catering to the working crowd but almost no one else. Again, though of course I haven't done the cost-benefit analysis, it shows a general unwillingness to make something of this special spot in Bethesda. Don't shy away from this place if you're bumming around in need of some sauce, cheese, and bread, but don't be surprised when The Corner Slice does not live up to your Bethesda expectations.

    (2)
  • Roz J.

The white pizza is very good. The crust is good too-- thin, buttery and foldable. The red sauce pizza is way too sweet and their ingredients are nothing special, but this is the best place in Bethesda for a *slice*. Improve the red sauce and beef up the quality on the toppings and this place would be among the best in the area. And for all who miss their favorite NY/NJ corner pizza joints, the food may not be up to your standards but the snarky and moody young guys behind the counter should remind you of home.

    (3)
  • Jeffrey A.

This place isn't really all that awe inspiring, but it's quick, cheap, and filling. The pizza is New York style, (thin crunchy crust) but is just not that outstanding. The slice size is quite large, and you can just get one for $3.00. This place works as a small town pizzeria. A place where you can just drop in, grab a slice, and move on to something else. I will definitely go back, but it's kind of like Bethesda's version of Sbarro.

    (3)
  • Kathy S.

Actually, I love their pizza slices but: 1.) Hate their hours. 2.) Not much variety in the selections available 3.) Too expensive 4.) They don't give you any napkins unless you ask. Then, they give you just one tiny one. Really? Maybe if they were open more than 8 hours per day they would make enough to provide ample napkins! 5.) Did I mention that they aren't open in the evening or on Sunday (maybe not Saturday, too?)

    (2)
  • Tom D.

The best pizza by the slice option in Bethesda. Also, the only pizza by the slice option in Bethesda -- oh, I forgot about Vace -- ok, so not the only pizza by the slice option....and um not the best option. OK, the SECOND best pizza by the slice option in Bethesda. It gets the job done when you are craving a thin crust pizza that has substantial grease...

best pizza in bethesda...and huge slices! Great value. I specially like the artichoke spinach white pizza. Highly recommend it for delivery or eating in (although it's a tiny establishment)

  • Shawn H.

Keeping in mind that I am not at all easily pleased when it comes to "a slice" (on a corner) because I once lived on Carmine Street, about 30 yards from Joe's Pizza (the one in Spider Man), where they once served (now closed) the best slices ever served on the planet and that I have worked at many levels in the food industry and am quite convinced of the idea that a customer experience is the most important thing happening in any business, I'll say Bethesda's finest quick slice pizza joint is just about average on a good day (although I go there a lot). You know the old saying... pizza is kinda like sex--when it's good, it's good and when it's bad, it's good. If I had to give constructive criticism, I would say turn the television OFF and get rid of the flies! There's nothing worse than flies buzzing around while you're sitting at the window, eating a slice and not everyone wants a blaring, loud TV going while they're swatting flies or eating pizza. Also, bake the pie with the topping instead of putting toppings on plane pizzas. This is not what I'm looking for in a slice. If I want peperoni and mushrooms, tell me I can wait for it to cook and make it or tell me what you've got--don't add items and heat it! I've never gotten a whole pie, so I won't comment on that or delivery because I always walk in and order one or two slices and a drink. If there were another place nearby, I might try it. Sorry guys. Not bad, but not exactly great.

  • Alexis G.

I've visited this place many times, mostly because there isn't much variety for pizza in Bethesda. It gets the job done for lunch, but I would never go out of my way to visit here. The Corner Slice is not gourmet pizza by any means, which is fine -- but it's a bit too greasy for even me. But sometimes you just need to take care of a pizza craving. I would suggest this place to pizza lovers who work or live in the area and can walk here. I think the parking situation is pretty atrocious, so don't try to drive. The interior of Corner Slice is bare bones, and there aren't many places to sit to try not to arrive during the peak of lunch hour. I don't mind that they just kind of plop the toppings on top of the pizza, but I could see how some people might not like that.

    (3)
  • P L.

The pizza is good, nice large floppy slices. Way overpriced. Each slice is like 4 bucks after tax. They tend to close early too. Not a place to go after the bars close.

    (3)
  • Kim E.

Thin and oily, filled with red stuff, they have an excellent pizza oven here. Roughly similiar to Villa's in the bottom of Borgata. It tastes you like imagine pizza in some Italian neighborhood. I like it.

    (3)
  • Jorge D.

    I love this pizza.

    (5)
  • Kelly B.

The only pizza place I've found in Bethesda so far that uses a real pizza oven and not a conveyor belt. Would give it a higher rating if it had better hours.

    (3)
  • G M.

Despite having lived here for 3 years, only recently made it over to this place when it was actually open (it was like fate was conspiring to keep us apart). The cheese pie is OK, a little greasy, but better than most of what passes for pizza around here. The sausage, onions and peppers pie was quite good, with crumbled, tasty sausage that gives the right distribution of flavors per bite. Good charring on the bottom of the pies in both instances. I'll give it more thought, but it seems like this place should really just be able to kick it up a notch or two to really make it to NY-quality slices.

  • PC W.

If you work/live in Bethesda and you want a good slice of pizza, I recommend corner slice. It's probably the quickest and cheapest meal you can get on this street. The service was quick. I went a few times for Italian ice because it's like $1 for a cup of it.

  • Ilia D.

My favorite pizza place in Bethesda. I have been searching for great NY style pizza since I moved here from Philadelphia. Corner Slice may be the only place that fits the bill. Crispy crust, good sauce, just enough cheese. No clue why they have such limited hours. Highly recommend.

  • dalene e.

Ordered delivery. Guy on the phone only heard one pizza; 2 others standing by me heard me order 2. They sent another, which I paid for. On the box, it says: Order 2 pizzas, second one is $10. They charged me full price for both. When I called, the guy said, "Whatever." And hung up. Yeah.

  • Eric B.

We tried a whole pie - carryout. It was big, and pretty good, but I gotta say, I prefer a reheated slice here. The fresh whole pie did not have that perfect, ever-so-slight crunch to the crust that the re-heating gives the slices. Interesting. Anyway, it was a little disappointing because the slices are great.

I find it hilarious that people are critiquing this place on the fact that they don't serve water or that the napkin dispenser ended a refill when they were there. Dude, it's a pizza joint. It's not like you're at the prime rib. Shuttttt up! Anyways I just ordered two slices of cheese pizza. It was my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I particularly love the fact that the crust is extra thing and crispy with the perfect amount of cheese and I also love the fact that there isn't all this extra sauce on it. Is it pricey for one slice? I don't know. I'm from DC where everything cost more so $7 for two big slices didn't make me flinch. I will definitely be going back.

I liked this place a lot. I'm a fan of the trendy pizza places like &pizza (DC artisanal pizza chain) and The Upper Crust (Boston-area pizza chain) but this is the best pizza place I've been to that isn't trendy and hipster-like. My pizza was cooked fresh just for us with freshly cut peppers and onions. The sausage was incredible. The pizzas are cut in the typical NY style of being huge and fold-able. The two guys who own this place are there regularly and have been there for 15 years. You don't survive that long without being good at what you do.

As a girl from New Jersey I know a thing or two about what to expect from pizza. Their pizza has the right consistency to appear to be NY style, but it's not a true NY style. It's okay, definitely one of the better slices I've had in the area, but definitely not the best.

Really good pizza and very big slices. Definitely a great place for a quick bite. The only downside is that it closes way too early.

Great deal for pizza! 2 cheese slices + a soda for 7$!!!!! jumbo size pizza is amazing bought a whole pizza a few times to for 18$ huge portion and easy to share!! they deliver also!!

Like many on here, I wish it was open later and $3.50 for a cheese slice is steep. However, the slices are huge and very good. And $7 for a couple slices doesn't seem so bad considering the area alternatives. I'm a fan.

One word: meh. I was so excited at the prospect of NY style pizza, and while the pizza slice was HUGE, it was also a HUGE disappointment. I hate it when they reheat pre-cooked slices just to burn the bottom. No one likes burnt crust. :(

  • Jed S.

It's not going to be mistaken for gourmet It's a bit on the greasy side, but the slices are big, it's quick, and it's tasty. Sorta reminds me of Papa Ginos from New England, in a good way! Use a napkin to get some of the grease off and it's a good pizza at a great price.

Bad customer service. Owners are sooo unfriendly and their hours of operations make it seem like they are a front b/c they are never open. Closed on Sundays! Lol Not open in the evenings. Lol Did I mention how unfriendly and miserable their owners are?

The only pizza place that I regularly visit in the Bethesda area. This is big slice new york style pizza. The only one of its kind around here. It is a tad bit expensive but not if you use the coupons (which is what they are there for). The owner and his brother are good guys if you get to know them and are not rude as some have said. This place is always full druing lunch but the wait is never long.

I can't ethically support a place the doesn't serve water. Also, the slices are small and start at $3.50 for a slice of cheeze pizza. That's a bit over priced!

    (1)

I usually go for dish pizza, but this place has converted me. The slices are huge and for $7 you get 2 and a coke. The pizza is my favorite in the area by far. At about 11am they are swamped with high schoolers but who eats lunch at 11 am anyway?!

    (5)

    (4)

  • Jordan E.

  • Nick C.

Good pizza sold by the slice. The sit down bar is fine for fast lunch but not a sit down with wait staff restaurant. I am a fan. They do reheat the slices but the pizzas are not days old. Most New York pizzerias do the same thing. Not sure but I think the owner is on site most days.

  • Ruth C.

    (2)
  • Pedro B.

Pizza is meh. Almost no sauce, too expensive per slice for what you get. I had a slice of pepperoni and sausage and a plain cheese. It's not that great but okay. I will most likely not come back. I prefer Vace's pizza better on the other side of Bethesda.

    (2)
  • Tony P.

    (4)
  • Nicole G.

Huge slices and tasty crust, but I just wish it were a bit cheaper. It's close to my office so I'll more than likely be a repeat offender here.

Do you love NY style pizza? Do you love 2 slices of cheese pizza and a soda for $6.50? I know I do. Corner Slice, I love you! Overall, the perfect little corner pizza joint for lunch in Bethesda.

    (5)

I like it.

The only pizza place I've found in Bethesda so far that uses a real pizza oven and not a conveyor belt. Would give it a higher rating if it had better hours.

If you work/live in Bethesda and you want a good slice of pizza, I recommend corner slice. It's probably the quickest and cheapest meal you can get on this street. The service was quick. I went a few times for Italian ice because it's like $1 for a cup of it.

My favorite pizza place in Bethesda. I have been searching for great NY style pizza since I moved here from Philadelphia. Corner Slice may be the only place that fits the bill. Crispy crust, good sauce, just enough cheese. No clue why they have such limited hours. Highly recommend.

Yeah.

As a girl from New Jersey I know a thing or two about what to expect from pizza. Their pizza has the right consistency to appear to be NY style, but it's not a true NY style. It's okay, definitely one of the better slices I've had in the area, but definitely not the best.

    (4)

  • Kitti T.

I can't ethically support a place the doesn't serve water. Also, the slices are small and start at $3.50 for a slice of cheeze pizza. That's a bit over priced!

  • Nick C.

Good pizza sold by the slice. The sit down bar is fine for fast lunch but not a sit down with wait staff restaurant. I am a fan. They do reheat the slices but the pizzas are not days old. Most New York pizzerias do the same thing. Not sure but I think the owner is on site most days.

    (4)
  • Pedro B.

Pizza is meh. Almost no sauce, too expensive per slice for what you get. I had a slice of pepperoni and sausage and a plain cheese. It's not that great but okay. I will most likely not come back. I prefer Vace's pizza better on the other side of Bethesda.

    (2)
  • Tony P.

    (4)

I was hungry after driving all day. The slices are HUGE!!! But I mage to finish two slices. Very tasty and staff is ok. I'll be back.

This is it!

I just called at 7:11 PM to order a pizza and was told they are not taking any more orders. They close at 8PM on Mondays. Guys was extremely rude!

  • Izzat A.

    (3)

Really good pizza and very big slices. Definitely a great place for a quick bite. The only downside is that it closes way too early.

  • N S.

At all.

Like many on here, I wish it was open later and $3.50 for a cheese slice is steep. However, the slices are huge and very good. And $7 for a couple slices doesn't seem so bad considering the area alternatives. I'm a fan.

The pizza is good, nice large floppy slices. Way overpriced. Each slice is like 4 bucks after tax. They tend to close early too. Not a place to go after the bars close.

Thin and oily, filled with red stuff, they have an excellent pizza oven here. Roughly similiar to Villa's in the bottom of Borgata. It tastes you like imagine pizza in some Italian neighborhood. I like it.

Yeah.
