This place is decent, a bit pricey ($5-$6 for a small) but decent. The women that work here are a bit on the gloomy side, but the weekend staff and the owner are awesome people. Def. worth a try if you're in the area!

Best place to come! I always have the same unhappy and sad looking Latino woman who serves up my smoothie; I swear she is the only person who works in here. Once she made my pineapple coconut smoothie horrible but I blame that on her blender. I believe I have also met the owner. He was super helpful and kind to me when I brought my boyfriend from the dentist for his first "meal" (wisdom pulling). The owner wished him well and hoped he felt better, even gave me a carrying tray since my boyfriend was so obviously out of it. Nice people and great product. Also have a great selection of protein bars.

I visit this store on Wisconsin ave. Bethesda two days a go (4/2/2014) around 5:30. First, the lady who prepare the smoothies was very rude and even was texting while I was waiting her to ask me what I wanted. Second, the berry smoothie was very sugary and full of ice. I tried the same thing in another location and was good. My recommendation, if this store has an owner or wanted to survive in Bethesda; they've to get rid of those unqualified, rude and full of attitude employees. Not worth half of the money you would spend !!

More organic and down to earth than Jamba Juice, though they do offer tons more add ons to their smoothies. Lots of flavor options -- maybe almost too overwhelming. The small size is HUGE. Only two tables to sit at. Also seems to be a teenager hangout, so next time I will take my smoothie to go.

I got a medium "Island Impact." It was delicious and huge!! Idk why people would say the small is too small. Yes they are kinda expensive, but delicious and healthy. They have ones for all kinds of health needs, they have protein, electrolytes and veggies, even energy. My friend got the "Apple Kiwi kale" and it is sour and delicious. Definitely coming back. Even though the woman working wasn't very happy or helpful.

Who doesn't love Smoothies! Smoothie King is great in that it offers a lot of flavors (Apple to Goji to Coffee) and a lot of different options for kinds of smoothies you'd want. They have various classifications: Stay Healthy, Get Energy, Trim Down, Build Up, Snack Right, Indulge, and Kids Kups. My cousins and I dropped in here one morning before we started our day and I had the Banana Berry treat. It was delicious.

The small is NOT huge. It is very expensive for what you get. they use syrup so its very sweet and sugary. Not very healthy at all. It may seem that way but its not. I bought a large smoothie the gladiator and it was $9.79 but I got it divided into 2 cups so I guess its like $5 for 2 small's. Even with the coupon they give you after your first buy I'm not sure I would come back. The protein powder seemed a little suspect not sure how many grams it was but I think I could make a better smoothie at home with frozen fruits and not get charged for boosts that probably aren't proven to work like the "trim down, or build up, stay healthy or get energy" Not sure how consuming all that syrup and sugar is going to get anyone to stay healthy. I believe it might give some energy though! Definitely not losing any fat drinking these smoothies.

After a night of excessive eating, I woke up the next day not hungry at all. You might call what I experienced a food hangover. Well the cure was a smoothie for lunch. My co-worker decided smoothies were the order of the day so before he left to get them, I checked out their website to see what they had. I'm kind of picky in that I -hate- bananas and I know how bananas always end up in smoothies. So I had to check the menu to make sure some awesome sounding tropical smoothie didn't have banana in it. Of course the one I wanted did...so after browsing the online menu, I selected "The Shredder - Strawberryâ„¢". Strawberries, Gladiator protein, L-Carnitine, Citrimax and Chromium ... not sure what ALL of those things are but it sounds better for me than some of the things I had eaten the night before. And to be quite honest, it didn't taste as awful as I anticipated. It had a nice strawberry flavor and was a good consistency - smooth, little icy, super satisfying. I feel like this could be my saving grace if all of these marathon food UYE's keep becoming the norm.

I am never going to this smoothies king again. My car was towed in a matter of minutes. Go to a smoothies king where they have reliable parking and where the building manger will not tow your car.

Get ready for more sugar than you probably wanted when you walked in the door. It's tasty, quite expensive and there's no actual fresh fruit involved in the making of your smoothie. Everything is syrupy and sugary. The "powders" are questionable and will increase your smoothie bill. The best advice I've heard from a former employee: Get a blender. Make it at home. The only reason for two stars is that you can get a shot of wheat grass here. If you want a healthy smoothie, it can't be found at Smoothie King.

Save your money and go elsewhere. I had a coupon so I decided to stop here on my walk. I should have known to turn and walk out when it took the girl, Ana a while to wake up and acknowledge me. The menu here was colorful, confusing and pricey. There were more supplements on the menu than there were natural ingredients. However I used my coupon and ordered a strawberry thingamajig( so glad I didn't get anything banana as they looked like they had been there for ages). The strawberries I noted looked more canned and were in syrup, def not fresh. When my smoothie was made she said a brief thanks and walked away. I wasn't sure what happened but then I realized that meant she was finished with me. No here's your smoothie and your receipt. I had to pass the other side of the cash register and reach across the counter to get my smoothie. The receipt was still in the machine so after I grabbed my drink I tore my receipt off. The customer service leaves much to be desired. The smoothie also wasn't very good. I think I'll stick to Robeks and/or Jamba juice where the ingredients are fresh and natural.

This place is definitely an indulgence and I don't try to kid myself that their smoothies are healthy but I really like the people that work here and I love the taste! Plus, what is better than an enormous smoothie on a 100 degree day?! They also give you a free smoothie if you buy a prepaid smoothie king card. Free, yeah!

A piece of heaven. Really. There are numerous choices you want, and also they have heaps of different kinds of powders - protein, vitamins, etc... Delicious. I had mangofest, pina colada island, and raspberries sunrise. I would go back again and again just to drink the smoothies. I could down the largest one and don't have to buy or make myself lunch or dinner. Fulfilling! It's perfect for summer - you could lose fast that way. LOL. Well, I am sure it's true. I will let you know this fall. :) Smoothies rock.

i watched the lady make my smoothie....she did not use a single piece of real fruit. it tastes like artificial flavors and sugar. it is so bad that i couldn't drink more than 2 sips. ugh!

We lovah the Smoothie King! Yes, perhaps not as healthy as making them at home, but we don't all have the time do blend freshly picked organic stuff in a blender with toddlers clinging to our legs! We go every week as our "after school treat." The snacks are healthy, and the owner/manager is wonderful. Despite the surly shopkeepers in the same arcade area, it is a great experience...just watch out for too much protein powder!
