We enjoyed our dinner here. I also recommend for kids pizza also. Our 3 year old ate all of her kid-menu chicken pizza. This was a good alterative from greasy take out pizza from the same old P Hut or P Johns. You have a lot of tastes to try from on the menu. We plan on returning. Expect a wait if you go for dinner. The location is not that large, but at least this one is a mall so you can waste the wait time window shopping.

I think this is a fun place to eat, love their food especially the salads it gets a bit crowded tho and can sometimes be too loud. I've def had better pizzas tho but all in all it's a good place to go if u want interesting pizzas and delicious salads and appetizers in a fun sit down restaurant. Also keep in mind there is usually a wait so if u have plans after go to the restaurant early

This place always disappoints me. And it's not the food, as this palce is a chain. The wait is always long. And whatever wait time they give you, expect to wait twice as long. They told the people before us thirty minutes... and forty five minutes later, they were still waiting. and waiting. and waiting... Service is either slow, or the servers seem unresponsive. This place would probably be better if they got their act together or weeded out the good employees from the... not so good.

this was my first time coming here. I had the Chipotle chicken pizza, it was pretty good. There were a lot of good choices to choose from, healthy and Delicious. I would give it a try if you've never tried it. The drinks were reasonably priced as well.

4 stars is generous. The food keeps the rating high. Everyone likes CPK. Everyone has their favorite dish at CPK. But, everyone has their reasons why they hate CPK. I have had all kind of items off of their menu, from salads to soups (yeah smashed pea & barely!), to strange-sounding but delicious pizzas. Its the kind of place where you want to finish the entire pizza (its that good), but you don't want to be judged...so you take half home with you. So good. My gripes: 1. Prices...wow! I would come here a lot more often if the menu was just a bit more reasonably priced. 2. The staff always seems upset at one another. They try to not show it, but you can cut the tension with a knife. Its like they all hate each other or hate the job or something. I can't quite describe it other than a pervasive feeling of misery. 3. Why are there always 8 million kids in there? It doesn't look like anyplace children would enjoy, especially considering the many bottles of wine on display at the entrance. The 8 million kids also means the place is full of screaming and crying...I never want to stay a second longer than I have to. 4. I've only gotten take-out once, but they made me decide to never try it again. I ordered soup and a salad. They asked if I wanted utensils and I said yes. I didn't receive the soup (strange, because I was charged for it). I discovered it before leaving the parking lot, so I was able to come back in and get it. However, I never got those utensils. Why bother asking? It wasn't even busy, it was like 4:00 on a weekday afternoon. If that job is too stressful for the person working the take-out area, find someone else who doesn't cave under the pressure of putting together an order of soup and salad.

Neomi and I ate here today and it was a pleasant surprise. I normally do not except much from a mall restaurant. We shared the two in a bowl soup, which included The Sedona tortilla soup and the pea and barley soup mixed together like yin and yang. Each was good and together they were great. I then had the thin crust Sicilian pizza which was excellent. Neomi had a Chinese salad which she liked.

We ordered CPK through Take Out Taxi and the food was a bit mediocre. Pookie got down on his spaghetti and pizza, but the boy is a human garbage disposal, The Tish and I were both a bit underwhelmed. My soup was bland and her pizza was cold, but the egg rolls really stepped it up. If you are ordering in stick to normal pizza, CPK is better in person.

I loved spinach dip and ravioli was so yummy are waiter was okay it's was in the mall so you had to wait about 20 minutes to get seated. But everything else was fast with the food ordering and getting it in our table.

I came here yesterday. The service is just excellent here. They were amazingly fast, considering the fact that it was busy and was sitting at the corner. I was in a rush, but the waiter managed to get order and food our in less than 20 minutes. I was able to finish my meal in less than a hour.

It was my first time, so I didn't know what to order. I think I tried the pasta penne, but I couldn't finish it. It wasn't like it tasted bad, but I was sick that day, so I felt bad. Customer service was amazing, they'd always show up every once in a while to check up on you, and I thought that was really sweet. Tha place was also nice and presentable. Very clean too!

I stopped going to CPK a couple of years back due to terrible service. But then I decided to give them another shot. The last 10 times I've been in the last two years they have made my order incorrectly 8 times. I know, stupid to keep going but when I have a craving for their salad I take the chance. I decided to go today and not only did they make my salad wrong, they charged me incorrectly as well.

The pizza here is so-so, honestly I'd pick Papa John's pizza over this any day. I tried their Pear and Gorgonzola pizza, and it was thin and lacking in flavor, and just not what good old pizza should taste like :( Although, do keep in mind that I did get it to go for take out and only got the chance to eat it about 20 minutes later, but still. Cold pizza doesn't always have to mean bad pizza. However their hot fudge brownie sundae is good!

Review for the Sake of Reviewing: If you've been to one, then you've been to them all. What's great about CPK is their consistency. Of course, the downside is that's it's also not very exciting. Oddly, I recommend sticking with the salads at CPK because it seems "healthier." Nonetheless, CPK is probably one of the better places around Montgomery Mall.

Horrible bar service, Chinese chicken salad was mediocre at best... Bartender had a hard time speaking English and never asked if food was okay and never gave me the check. He dropped my food and that was it. I spoke to the manager and he was downright rude saying "no one ever complains about the bar service!" Not impressed. I'll never go back.

Just terrible. First off, don't tell me the wait is 15-25 minutes if the actual ait is 45-60 minutes. 15-25 minutes would have been fine waiting with my 2 small kids, but after almost an hour, the whole family was frazzled and annoyed. I had the signature BBQ chicken pizza and was extremely disappointed. The crust was very doughy and undercooked. My young son had the honey-chicken pizza and that was not bad for what it was. The service was good once inside the restaurant, but I would never go here again. Next time, I'd rather endure a food court meal rather than pay through the nose for terrible pizza.

Oh CPK...whatever happened to you? Have you always been this lame, and I was merely blinded by your new and different specialty gourmet pizzas? Or have you slid downhill since I last dined here...over 5 years ago? Either way, I mourn the CPK that I had pictured in my mind. The CPK that slung out hot and delicious pizzas, and the service was fast and furious. It was the Saturday right before the Xmas holidays and my husband makes me break my self-imposed ban on entering any mall between Thanksgiving and New Years with the bribe of having a nice delicious lunch at CPK! CPK? my eager and rapacious belly cried, why we haven't eaten their delicious Thai pizza in years upon years! As we all know that I'm ruled by my stomach, I let my husband bring me to the mall. Heh, well my husband now knows why I have my self imposed ban...and my belly has learned a valuable lesson in listening to the brain sometimes. We arrive and was given a 25 minute wait. As it as around 1pm, we expected a wait, so this wasn't a big deal. However, a few minutes before we were seated, a party of 30 (yes, 30!), came in. Now, a party of 30 wouldn't bother me...except that 20 of the 30 were kids. All around the age of 5. For a kid's birthday party. REALLY?!?! *REALLY?!?!? CPK for a 5 year old's birthday party?!? Have the parents lost their ever-lovin' minds?!? And of course...we are seated right after they were...a mere 3 booths from their table. Our lovely discussion and meal was punctuated by high-pitched screams, squeals, crying and temper tantrums. And for once, it wasn't all coming from me. So, I have to say, minus one to the manager of CPK for letting this party through. I realize that as a business one must try to get as much business as one can, but let's take a look at the facts. This was at lunch, on the Saturday before Xmas. The mall is packed and there is a wait for the tables as it is. Now, while getting a nice 30 top in, might seem good on paper, as the majority of the party were kids under 5, chances are, they were not going to eat a whole pizza by themselves. At most, they may eat 2 slices, which means that instead of selling 30 pizzas plus appetizers plus drinks, they probably only sold 15 pizzas. Then, as this was a party of small children, you know that the parents would constantly need things from the server - more napkins, utensils, more drinks, drinks being spilled, etc. A server may be able to handle a single 30 top of adults by themselves, but with the number of children involved, you know that there were at least one more, if not two more servers helping out at this party. Finally, as a kids' birthday, this party probably ended up taking much longer then serving 30 individual customers as there wouldn't be a need to sing the birthday song, or eat cake (which wasn't even sold by CPK, but brought in from the outside). So ultimately, taking the kids' birthday party for 5 year olds, on a busy Saturday, at prime lunch time no less, probably hurt their bottom line if you take all of the factors into consideration. I'm not sure if our server were one of the servers that helped the party, because he was very absent minded. I ordered my pizza on wheat, and it was whole grain. We asked for water with our drink order, and we had to remind him. Also, by the time the food was served to us, it was lukewarm, not hot. So all in all, I was seriously disappointed by my experience here. I was looking forward to it, as I used to love eating here. I'm not sure if my patience for shoddy service has decreased, or if they have really gone downhill. Either way, the chances of me coming back is slim.

CPK is an awesome place to order from when you want something light, not too expensive, and delicious. The fish tacos are some of the best I've ever had and the margarita pizza is amazzzinngggg. I also think their salads are some of the best around. Their pasta is alright, I would mostly recommend the appetizers, pizza and salads. The BBQ salad and pizza are both very good. Also cannot go wrong with their chocolate soufflee....mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! There is a lot and it is in the mall which makes a wait a little more convenient, although i am pretty sure they take reservations. The wait is usually very long, however this is one of the few restaurants where the food travels very well. Therefore it would even be worth it to just order in. They are with Take-Out-Taxi, I do it all the time. Either way worth trying. Enjoyyy!!!!

I love the food at CPK. However, my service was mediocre. My waitress seemed more interested in standing around talking to her coworkers. I would understand her being busy with other things if it was crowded while I was there, but that was not the case. Besides not being able to get her attention when I needed it, my overall experience was good. I would suggest if you are going to this location go in between lunch and dinner time. It gets pretty crowded.

I'd recommend getting the classic caesar salad with ranch dressing. Fantastic and a good filling! The crispy mac n cheese nuggets are too good to put in words!! AMAZING FOOD!! One thing that put me down a star is that it's in the middle of an overcrowded mall.

I feel it used to be a lot better. food tends to lack here and there, and a bit more expensive for what you get. but its good with groups, family, or what you'd like to make of it. servers are usually very accommodating, and its located in a mall, so you can always shop if there is a wait.

I'm not too crazy about their pizza but I love their salads! The BBQ Chicken Salad is my favorite. It has bean, corn, tortilla strips, cheese, tomatoes and of course bbq chicken. You can choose to add avocado for an extra $2.50. The Miso Shrimp Salad is also a good choice. It's a little lighter tasting than the BBQ Chicken Salad. It has shrimp, edamame, and avocado. We tried the Korean BBQ Steak Tacos and the White Corn Guacamole + Chips from the small cravings menu. The steak tacos tasted nothing like Korean BBQ. The White Corn Guacamole was ok but a bit on the bland side. Overall, I only like this place for their salads and their flavored iced teas. Oh! And the Cherry Limeade is pretty good too!

Can you say HORRENDOUS? What follows is the actual email I just sent to the divisional manager in charge of this location with the names deleted for privacy: Ms. _________, I was told that you are the divisional manager who oversees the Montgomery Mall California Pizza Kitchen location. I'm writing to describe the miserable service and food we experienced at that location this evening (Sunday September 4, 2011). I have dined here and at other CPK locations in the past and am amazed at how badly the service and quality has declined. My party consisted of 3 adults, one small child, and one toddler. According to the check, we sat at table 75/1 and our server was ______. _______ took our drink and food order at the same time as there were two children with us. We asked for some bread as well. After about 7 minutes, our drinks arrived. The 2 iced teas we ordered were warm, so we asked for some extra ice. Since the bread did not come with the drinks, we asked for bread again. Please note that a well trained server should know that a table with 2 small children should receive bread or something for the kids to munch on. After a few more minutes (perhaps 4 or so) another member of the staff brought over 2 glasses filled with the ice we requested, but still no bread. We asked for the bread yet again, and some cold bread arrived in a couple of minutes (brought by a staff member other than _________) without any butter. At this point we should have expected the worst which was still yet to come. Our pizzas arrived a few minutes later. Two of the three were ice cold (a Hawaiian pizza and a Margherita pizza), and one was warm (a Traditional with chicken pieces). We gave the two cold pizzas back to _________. While we waited for our food to arrive warm, no one came to see if we needed more to drink nor did anyone come to clear used plates, etc. from our table. Little kids make messes. We cleaned the table ourselves and placed the soiled plates and used napkins on the shelf next to our table. When our pizzas arrived a few minutes later, they were warm but obviously the same ones that had previously been served to us cold. I took one bite out of the Margherita pizza and almost spit it out. To say it was horrendous does not do enough to describe how terrible it was. There was absolutely no taste to it at all, the cheese had a greasy sickly look to it and the basil was curled up which is what happens when you try to reheat a pizza. I'd think that a restaurant like yours that specializes in pizza would know better! Obviously not. To make matters worse, our waiter _______ never came back to see how things were or to see if we needed drinks. By this time my iced tea was empty and I wanted to get the horrid taste of the pizza out of my mouth. A few minutes more passed by and we were able to flag _________ down. I told him to take my pizza away and I asked to see the manager. The pizza was removed and about 5 minutes later _________ came over. I gave _________ a narrative of our experience, emphasizing the atrocious service, and he was very nice and apologetic. He cleaned the dirty plates that we had left on the shelf (note that _________ NEVER did this) and offered to make me a new pizza which I declined. _________ asked what he could do and I said just take care of this mess with the check. ________ comped our meal which was appreciated and unfortunately the only thing he could do as I didn't want to eat a thing there. I did ask for some more iced tea as I STILL had not received any and was thirsty. We waited about 5 minutes more and even _________ couldn't manage to bring over some tea. Very disappointing that the General Manager himself couldn't carry out such a simple task! To say that I am appalled with your Montgomery Mall location is an understatement, and I will be sharing my experience with all who read Yelp, Urban Spoon, and Ness. I look forward to a response from you regarding what will be done to ensure that this CPK location turns things around. Thank you in advance for your reply,

To say my latest experience here was bad would be an understatement. It has been a while since I was treated this RUDELY at any establishment. Almost immediately upon being seated a clumsy waitress spilled a glass of red wine all over our table. Now, I understand that mistakes do happen, and I am not faulting the waitress here, but the fact that we were not reseated was surprising. Not two minutes after she was done "wiping up", the moron in a manger's uniform comes to us and requests that we shut the (already open) blinds at the window next to our table as the light is bothering another table. Um... Close them yourself? Isn't this your restaurant? Why were they open in the first place? Closing the blinds severely darkened our table and we asked if we could be reseated someplace with a window (that could, you know, actually be used for the light it was built to show) - which, while it did happen, seemed as though we were asking him for his first born. Now the new table: the waiter was HORRENDOUS. How he is employed is beyond me. We waited over 10 minutes for an appearance (which never happened) at which point someone in our party went to complain and request some service. The moron-manager then reappeared (lucky us!) to take our order as his protege was "overwhelmed by 3 tables". The orders came after a half-assed apology from the server, and surprise! One item was wrong and another was nonexistent. After the missing item was brought (we thought it best to count our blessings and just keep the wrong item) we were informed that "dessert is on the house" which ended up being one lonely sad little kid-sized sundae. Oh, I forgot to mention the "how's everything going?" that was asked as the waiter whisked by not even waiting for a response (seriously, why even ask?). Ordering dessert: moron-waiter popped up, asked the 1st person in our party what they would like: Brownie sundae. Him: "Great!" and immediately walked away! Walked AWAY. The rest of our party was seething and needed some calming down. So much for the free dessert. And the cherry on top this disastrous sundae of a dining experience? The BROWNIE sundae had no brownie. Dine here at your own risk.

Franchise, franchise, franchise. They usually are hit or miss. This place is more of a lead off walk. There's potential, but the scorecard still says zero. The restaurant is pretty much next to Nordstroms. They have a mall entrance and a entrance to the parking lot. The pizza is...well think of the Seinfeld when Kramer and Poppie opened a pizza place. Any topping is doable. California Pizza Kitchen you'll be able to find toppings to fit anyones taste. Buffalo chicken, oriental chicken, taco pizza...cucumber? Probably. It's not a bad thing but the pies are usually too bready and a lot of the pies taste the same as other ones. I would have given this place the average 3 stars, but the NY pizza was a blatant lie. I've had NY pizza before. This was not NY pizza. Rice with a raw fish stick on top of it is not sushi. Thick doughy pizza with a tag that says "NY" next to it is not NY pizza. All and all this place is good mall food. Lunch while shopping. Dinner with the kids. Just don't expect much from the Californians.

I ordered the fettuccini alfredo and to be honest I've taken dumps that looked more appetizing. Subpar food in every way.

We came only because we got hungry after shopping and walking around the mall. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was different from the typical fast food pizza joints, but in a good way. The price could be lower for the portion size, after all, it's just pizza. Since I don't really like pizza, I would not return.

There was no host/ess available when we walked in. We sat ourself. Server saw that we sat down and was very attentive. Our server was perfectly fine and kind. She was fast and courteous. The food was good. I rated it 4 stars compared to my expectations from a pizza place in a mall. I would definitely take my family back as the food was good, fresh and they had enough choices.

This CPK is steps below the one in Gaithersburg. Service and quality was lacking. Our server brought us wrong things. My friend ordered a Thai Crunch Salad without avocado, but he brings one with avocado. I order a glass of Beringer White Zinfandel, a white wine, but end up getting a glass of Merlot, a red wine. Since it was difficult to flag down our server, I didn't bother to change it. I just needed some wine before watching 50 Shades of Grey. I ordered the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine, which is usually one of my favorites at CPK. This one was just okay. A lot of the fettuccine was clumped together. There is supposed to be chunks of chicken in the pasta, but here the chicken was little itty bitty pieces. CPK has a rewards program app. I had 5 dough points and asked our server about it, but he wasn't very helpful. With all these new restaurants at the mall and a renovated food court, I'd say skip this and try something different.

It wasn't bad it wasn't great. I think honestly I'd give 2.5 stars. The food was pretty good but the service wasn't that great. We got there just before the dinner rush kicked in and my friend had to flag down the waitress to refill her drink. I got the tostada pizza which was ok, I did like it because it wasn't super heavy and frankly I was still a bit filled up from my lunch. Although comparing that Mexian style pizza to other places I've had similar CPK fell a bit short. Next time I think I'll stick with tried and true, BBQ Chicken Pizza.

My family loves California Pizza Kitchen. Because there aren't any close to where we live, we go out of our way to eat there when we find one nearby. We were passing through town on a drive home for the holidays and stopped here for dinner. Most CPK locations get a 4 star rating from me. This location things weren't firing on all cylinders. It wasn't overly busy, but there were a couple of problems with our order. That being said, the staff was very attentive and eager to please, and the manager stopped by to apologize for the inconvenience and didn't charge us for one of our pizzas. Otherwise, the food was great as always at CPK. I love their habanero carnitas pizza.

  • Bobby R.

This location was ok. My pizza was good but it was a little doughy. I got the Pepperoni, Sausage, and Mushroom Pizza. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Her service was admirable and quick. However, the gentleman that sat me must have thought it was funny to put me and my friend at the area where there are steps... I had a tough time getting up the two steps while in a crutch (sprained ankle, bruised leg, numb thigh, etc...). I managed though. It was tough getting out with the tables so close together though. Not sure if it is or not it may or may not be ADA compliant. None the less, I'd probably come back again for a quick work lunch.

I hate to give only 2 stars, as I usually LOVE CPK... I even worked here in a past life and still love the food, so, that says something. I ordered a simple Cesar salad w/added salmon. We were in a hurry to grab a working lunch, so, we ordered ahead. When we went to pick it up, we still had to wait forever and it was not at all the same experience as you get dining in. The salad was a bit wilty and pre-packed. The salmon was so dry and portion was soooo small (for a $5 add on)! I couldn't even identify those nuggets as salmon when I opened the package! They also forgot my requested bread and utensils from the bag. Talk about disappointing! If only I'd eaten at the restaurant, I'd have complained and I'm sure I woulda gotten a substitution item and left reasonably happy. But, no, instead, I paid dining in prices for a mediocre lunch at my desk. I'd recommend skipping the take out at this location.

I sat at the bar today. My server was terrific. The two stars is because, who I'm assuming was the manager was so rude to her staff, it made me cringe! Get rid of her. She nearly ruined my experience.

I arrived a little early for my lunch and my friend was really late. The service was attentive and respectful. My food was just the way I expected it. Bonus, my friend paid for lunch. They used to have chopsticks as utensils, but not anymore.

I gave one star before but now I'm giving 5 stars. Today was my 6-7 times had lunch at this restaurant. I'm very satisfied and glad to have server name Nancy. I must said that this is my only time satisfied with the service and food. She gave us little bread to eat while we waiting for our food. This has never happened before at this location. And she is deliver a fast service. I'm highly recommend her. I definitely ask for her for our server next time visit.

Out of the two CPK's ive been to, this one falls short of the other. If you're in the moco area and looking to eat at CPK, it is worth the extra ten minute drive to the other CPK at the RIO location. Our bread was cold, my fork wasn't properly washed and still had leftover food from whoever used it last. Our waiter stopped by very frequently to ask if anything else was needed but always seemed to forget to bring whatever was requested the next time he came around. The only reason why I gave this place two stars is because of the spicy chipotle chicken pizza.

The food is decent, but I absolutely hate to see staff treated poorly by management, especially in front of customers! We had a nice waiter who was doing an excellent job, but the manager was snarky towards him...poor leadership. Anyway, we ordered the lettuce wraps and mushroom pizza, both were pretty good. This particular location is short on staff, as we had to wait for seating, although several tables were open. It made me wonder why no one wants to work there, until I witnessed the interaction between the manager and staff.

I had been craving CPK's pear and gorgonzola pizza (one of my all-time favorite pizzas) for weeks before I finally caved and ordered it through GrubHub (which I think was actually fulfilled through Takeout Taxi). The delivery fee was massive but I decided to treat myself. Food took awhile to arrive, but it was within the expected delivery window, so I technically can't complain about that :-). The delivery guy was older and super nice, and I sincerely hope he got the tip I entered on my credit card through Grubhub- the fact that it had to go through two companies to get to him made me a bit suspicious, and makes me think I should tip in cash in the future. Grubhub wouldn't let me select what crust we wanted for our pear and gorgonzola pizzas, so I rolled with it and left it up to fate. The crust ended up being thin crust, which I wasn't happy about (I don't like thin crust, generally). When I went to eat my pizza, one of the first things I noticed was that the crust:topping ratio was off (note: no thin crust ever again please!). The second thing I noticed was that the crust was soft, especially on the bottom, and everything on the pizza tasted slightly underdone and chewy. But simultaneously, the edges of the pizza were so crispy that if I accidentally pushed on them too hard, they broke off the slices and into little pieces. However, a few minutes in the oven at 350-400 heated the pizza up and finished cooking it. The pizza normally comes with a dressed salad on top, which they packed on the side. The salad was as I remembered, but something tasted a little off- wasn't sure if it was the dressing or slightly old and wilted lettuce (both seemed a bit off, but not sure where the taste was coming from). The meal definitely cured my craving, but I'm not sure in the most ideal way... the meal was pretty disappointing. I suppose I'll go to this CPK in person next time the craving hits and see if it's any better than what I got delivered.

We ordered catering for a 20 person company from CPK Bethesda. Their website clearly says that a large platter feeds 15-20 people and comes with salad or chips. It was delivered and tiny, as well as no sides or extras. When we called to ask why the order was so small, we were told that the order "is what it is" and that we wouldn't be getting a credit or refund. What customer service! The CPK employee also admitted that the "large" platter is really just 10 sandwiches cut in thirds. Ten?! That doesn't even meet the 15 that is says it feeds. We won't be ordering again. Bad CPK. Bad.

I ordered a delivery from CPK from Takeout Taxi. The tortilla soup was fine, and the stuffed pepper was adequate. The pizza was very poor--probably not even Domino's quality, except for the thin crust (extra $). I have never seen a pizza that had so little tomato sauce that the pie was crust-colored. What few splotches of red color came from the microscopically thin pepperoni shavings. There were a few hyper-thin shavings of pepperoni, 3 or 4 small pieces of sausage, and 3 or 4 very thin portobello shavings ($2 extra). My reaction when opening the box was "Are you kidding me??" The pizza was also super salty. To compound the matter, the pizza was sliced very indifferently (odd, seemingly random cuts, and not all the way through), so I needed to cut the pizza myself. It seems as though CPK at this location has no attention to detail. I will not get a pizza from them again.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites... a great place to have a sit-down meal at the mall. Unfortunately it has changed over the years and is only a small piece of what it once was. Today, i find CPK's menu too big and too expensive. Their portions have also gotten smaller over the years. CPK seems to have gotten away from what they do best -- Pizza. The menu has lots of other stuff, and is almost too big and too confusing. Over the years some of my favorites have been taken off the menu for no good reason. I do still like their salads... but they too are overpriced... and I have to remind myself that they really are not all that much healthier than some of the pizzas and pastas on the menu.

This was our second visit to this CPK. BP, his mom, and I stopped by for a quick dinner. I was super exited to try the Korean BBQ Steak tacos, but when they weren't on the menu I explained to the waitress that I saw them online and whether I could order it (as an entree). She came back to the table at least twice just to clarify what I wanted . This should have been my first sign... I asked her each time whether it was okay to order this and when she said it wouldn't be a problem, I was all "Great!" When the food arrived, BP's mom had a gorgeous salad, BP, had a scrumptious artichoke and chicken pizza and I got an appetizer.... The Korean BBQ Steak Tacos were an appetizer... First I was very disappointed, but as many know, my eyes are bigger then my stomach and the food was a perfect portion! BP offered me a pizza slice and I even though I was feeling stuffed, I really enjoyed it. There was an ample amount of chicken and the artichoke pieces were flavorful. -1 Star because the service was super slow for a Tuesday (early evening).

Great restaurant one of my favorite casual restaurants. I love the spinach artichoke appetizer it is outstanding also the chicken dumpling are great. I usually get the lettuce wraps with chicken as my entree (even though they are listed as an appetizer) they have great flatbreads and a good kids Mac & cheese also there pizzas are really good. The Service is usually great I really like this I place

Love this place! I'm vegan so I don't actually order the pizza although the vegetarian salad is wonderful.. The split pea soup is also a must have! Great service and an excellent option if you're planning on bringing the little ones.

not much to say- Who doesn't love CPK? Good food, great pizza, nice atmosphere.. I like to try other things other than the pizza which we all know is good and the fish tacos are just soo fresh and tastey.. This location is great because its inside the mall and you have more options than the food court.

Montgomery Mall CPK - oh the memories! Since I was in single digits I've been coming here. With my parents after a movie at the mall, after shopping with friends, or just because I love the food. Stand-outs: Original (it IS the original) bbq chicken chopped salad. Kung Pao Spaghetti. Avocado Egg Rolls. Pea soup. $5 and under new 'tapas' style small plates. Unlike other locations, our server brought us bread without having to ask. Since this is a very busy location (inside a shopping mall), they do push a little on table turnover. And yes, you have people of all ages (including the wee ones who are past nap time...). My water was frequently refilled!!!! (always a plus) All in all, we will be back!

Still solid restaurant keeps putting out its distinctive pizza. Arriving after the Saturday night rush about 8:15, our service was prompt. Since we sat near the rear, we watched as families emptied out, requiring some major cleaning up. The carry out was pretty busy as well. My half Chinese chicken salad was plenty big and good. DH's pepperoni, sausage pizza vanished. I had the white pizza for appetizer and he had a wedge. We both left happy.

The food is good, although the manipulation from the manager ("Is your food delicious?") could go away. Good selection of choices on the menu, except for dessert. It would be nice to have lighter options (many are calorie-heavy). But overall, good food and service. But...perhaps fixing the broken toilet seat in the ladies room would be nice...

This is our favorite "go-to" place for lunch or early dinner with my parents...... The waiters remember my parents' meal - they treat my mom like "Hello Dolly" when she walks in (cause they go there so much) - - - And the food is great at a reasonable price. My only "wish" is that the music wasn't so loud - since it's hard for my 70-year - old parents to HEAR a conversation during a meal when the music is so incredibly loud. We've talked to the managers - and they say it's a "corporate decision and they have 'no control' .." I'm not really sure I believe that. My parents go there twice a week - in the mid-afternoon - - - it doesn't make sense to have bar-room/type music so loud that you can't hear a conversation...... but - we choose to have a happy attitude, and since most people like loud music - we just order our food - eat - smile a lot - and talk in the car on the way to and from the restaurant...... Other than the music - this really is a great place. And of course Montgomery Mall is the best mall in the suburban Washington DC area - so it's a great location to take a walk after dinner - and window shop for fun. I recommend this highly.

Maybe I just have a soft spot for CPK because I'm old enough to remember when the only options for pizza were Sbarro's, Pizza Hut, and the school cafeteria. Then one day, along comes CPK, with their newfangled ideas of bbq sauce and chicken on a pizza. Cray cray, right? My favorite pizza is the four cheese with tomato and basil. The wild mushroom is pretty good too and so is the previously mentioned bbq chicken. And when I'm pretending to be a healthy eater, the veggie pizza hits the spot. I haven't actually sat down to dinner here in years but I get takeout pizzas once every couple of months. They always get my order right and it's ready within the time frame quoted. They throw in bread and butter and utensils because I love free shit. Awesome!

ehhh... never went here but finally gave it a shot since me and my friend were starving after hiking and was at the mall. had the chicken fettuccini pasta and one of their thin crust pizzas and two drinks. the pasta was okayyy... so was the pizza. nothing special. the pasta was a little too sour due to the lime juice. the drinks i feel were overpriced. almost $10 for one!

CPK is awesome for their Kung Pao Spaghetti with shrimp!! (yummy) and definitely their pizzas! My family and I used to come here every Sunday as a family tradition, so it was very nice to return again last night after like 8 years!!! We had great service by Tin.

Ordered food and it was in edible it was just gross. It was so damn bad that I payed the $50 bill plus tip (not the waitresses fault, she was nice) and left to go to the food court and bought sarku. I could tell they microwaved my food because the plate was piping hot and my dip had a ring of oil burnt to the sides. Shit food, don't go here.

My Dad and I went out to lunch. We were seated right a way but its taking time for them to get a waiter to come a serve us. From 12:30 to 1:00pm we left to go to the small food court. I guess they can't be bothered to serve there costumers.

I actually like this restaurant!!! I usually order the Waldorf salad or the Chinese chicken salad which is so delicious! Mos notable dish - jambalaya pasta. SO GOOD. Thanks to our blond waiter for the suggestion and thanks Amex for giving me $10 back! Great meal in the burbs with my hometown best friend. It was a four star experience but 3 because it's a franchise and I am a foodie.

LONG waits. The pizzas here are pretty good so I guess its worth it if you are having a craving, but be prepared to wait 20-40 minutes, maybe more during the weekend hours. My favorite pizza is the margharita and salad would be the thai. Those are my recommendations!

CPK is a chain restaurant that serves, you guessed it, pizza in all varieties and toppings. As someone who's not a big fan of bread, I'm not a big fan of pizza. I actually like to go to CPK for their salads (grilled vegetable salad is a fav) and their tequila lime feticcine :-) I don't usually go out of my way for CPK but on that day, Veteran's day, I did. They were offering free pizza and non-alcoholic beverages for veteran's and active duty service members!! My fellow miliary peeps and I marched into the restaurant and were accomodated immediately. We declared our military status and were offered the goods as promised. Was it me or did everything taste better because it was free?!?! Well things are about to taste even better as the kind GM waltz over to us and offered vouchers for the same deal for fellow military folks. Like a stack of vouchers!! That made our day as we had friends who are stuck working at the hospital that day and could not enjoy glorious food deals. The icing on the cake? The same kind and awesome GM walked by and noticed that we were a tad chilly in our corner. He said something and actually did something about it!! Thank you CPK!! You really know how to take care of your soldiers/sailors/airmen and we appreciate it.

I ate here tonight and had an unusual experience. it was a Friday night and I expected it to be pretty busy. to my surprise, very empty. it was just me and I was seated right away. I am then informed that there was a power outage for nine hours and that the power had just come back on. turns out that only that side of the mall lost power. anyway, they had to get the ovens back up to temperature so the wait for pizzas would be longer than usual. slowly, the restaurant starting filling up again. I chose to stick it out and my pizza came in 45 minutes. nothing taken off my bill but my waiter was excellent and the manager came over to ask how everything was. couldn't have asked for a better experience given the circumstances and they sure will continue to get my business!

CPK is my all-time favorite chain restaurant. I don't know why but it's just so delicious. I haven't been able to try everything on the menu because there's are soo many options. Obviously they have a wide variety of pizza options. I love the Thai, BBQ, BLT and California pizza. They offer a healthier honey wheat crust. If you decide to be adventurous and select a pizza and don't like it, you can turn it back and get your normal item. This location was inside the mall and had a fairly long wait considering I arrived close to 2pm (after the lunch rush) But, I was with a friend catching up so it didn't bother me. If I was however on a lunch break from work, the wait would have been a big issue. That's why I'm giving it a 4 star review. But in general I rate CPK's menu 5 stars!! The staff was very attentive during my stay. But I've rarely had a bad server experience at any of the CPK's I've been too. I love that they name tag of the servers show their "hometown"/country. They've added new appetizers but my go-to is usually the spinach dip or the avocado rolls. My favorite salad is the Oriental, BBQ Chicken or the new Miso. But the Tricolore Salad is my #1 dining option. Did i tell you I love the cocktails here too? They have great flavored mojito selection, although I wish it came in a bigger glass since I'm paying $6-7. They have great desserts too but rarely have room for it. Don't forget the offer bread and butter which I always love but try to stay away from since I don't want to fill myself with too many carbs. I wish there was one closer to me.

A few thoughts on this particular location and a comment on the chain. The wait is usually horrible. If you plan to eat here, make a reservation as soon as you arrive at the mall or before you leave home. Our service was fine, however, we felt incredibly rushed the entire meal. Also, CPK is one of the places in the mall that Build-a-Bear Workshop downstairs recommends for birthday parties to eat afterwards. I have never been in here when there wasn't at least one party from downstairs up here. I like kids as much as the next person. However when parents are ignoring their kids running around the table and bumping wait staff and being incredibly annoying, I have an issue. (For the record, if you won't tell your brat to sit down, don't looked shocked when someone else does. It's a resturant not a playground - that is downstairs in the Sears wing). Finally, I still think CPK is overpriced and under good for their food quality.

Came here on Saturday around 5pm for dinner with my sister. We needed a break from shopping so came to eat dinner here. the restaurant wasn't that busy, we just waited 5 minutes for a table to clear. The hostess took us back to our seats, and the waiter was clearing the table while we waited by our table. They didn't wipe down the table and the table was sticky. I think the previous customers spilled something sweet. I wish the hostess would have given the waiter enough time to clear and the table properly before seating us.... Okay now to the food, the price is RIDICULOUSLY high. My sister and I ordered the California Veggie Pizza (original crust on honey wheat). The pizza wasn't anything special and didn't seem fresh. Also, the broccoli looked odd/weird. We were really excited and we thought it would be a big enough pizza to share and OH MY GOSH... the pizza is the size of a small pizza that you can order individually. I thought for a price of almost $13 we would have received a larger size. At Bertucci's (my favorite Pizza restaurant) you pay $18 (for just $4 more) for a large Margherita pizza. Bertucci's portion size is better and you can taste how fresh the dough and ingredients are. CPK lacked all those qualities in their pizza Oh and the bread we got seemed a little stale/store bought (definitely not fresh). We didn't eat any of the bread. Probably won't come here again- overpriced and I can find tastier pizza for a better deal.

Love this place! I'm vegan so I don't actually order the pizza although the vegetarian salad is wonderful.. The split pea soup is also a must have! Great service and an excellent option if you're planning on bringing the little ones.

My favorite casual chain. Salad with grilled peaches and pecans was awesome. Our server Nancy was great and we had 6 kids at our table!

They used to have Singapore shrimp rolls which I would get all the time but sadly they took it off the menu :'( I never had a bad experience at this cpk location so overall 4 stars

Finally, I still think CPK is overpriced and under good for their food quality.

not much to say- Who doesn't love CPK? Good food, great pizza, nice atmosphere.. I like to try other things other than the pizza which we all know is good and the fish tacos are just soo fresh and tastey.. This location is great because its inside the mall and you have more options than the food court.

Probably won't come here again- overpriced and I can find tastier pizza for a better deal.

this was my first time coming here. I had the Chipotle chicken pizza, it was pretty good. There were a lot of good choices to choose from, healthy and Delicious. I would give it a try if you've never tried it. The drinks were reasonably priced as well.

Just don't expect much from the Californians.

not much to say- Who doesn't love CPK? Good food, great pizza, nice atmosphere.. I like to try other things other than the pizza which we all know is good and the fish tacos are just soo fresh and tastey.. This location is great because its inside the mall and you have more options than the food court.

I actually like this restaurant!!! I usually order the Waldorf salad or the Chinese chicken salad which is so delicious! They used to have Singapore shrimp rolls which I would get all the time but sadly they took it off the menu :'( I never had a bad experience at this cpk location so overall 4 stars

Bad CPK. Bad.

Probably won't come here again- overpriced and I can find tastier pizza for a better deal.

this was my first time coming here. I had the Chipotle chicken pizza, it was pretty good. There were a lot of good choices to choose from, healthy and Delicious. I would give it a try if you've never tried it. The drinks were reasonably priced as well.

I came here yesterday. The service is just excellent here. They were amazingly fast, considering the fact that it was busy and was sitting at the corner. I was in a rush, but the waiter managed to get order and food our in less than 20 minutes. I was able to finish my meal in less than a hour.

I ordered the fettuccini alfredo and to be honest I've taken dumps that looked more appetizing. Subpar food in every way.
