Good burger place in Montgomery Mall, next to Cheesecake Factory (like Maryland Live). You order from counter and grab a seat (hope you like sitting next to strangers!). Their burgers look small but it is a very thick and filing burger, and 90% of the time cook your burger to your specifications. I like the LA Burger, Dallas burger, and their blue cheese burger. Their jalopeno sauce was the best of their various sauces. Kicks it up a notch. Their fries with their sauces are fantastic too. Really want to try their spiked milkshakes next time (when I was last there still pending liquor license). I compare this place closely to a BGR but I wonder how this place will do since Kraze Burger and a new McDonald's in the mall food court recently opened.

Location is first floor by Old Navy wing across from Cheesecake Factory. It's kind of out of the way for me as I never shop in that wing (all crappy stores). The restaurant itself is nice and clean and modern. Shared seating like diner counter seating almost. It's comfortable enough for this 6 months prego! Service was efficient. The order line moved pretty quick, the wait for the good was a little long, but so is any other made to order burger places. Now onto the food. Burger was great. I got the LA burger without watercress. I asked for medium well and didn't see any red, yet the burger was extra juicy and flavorful. Now that's the end of my rave. The fries were bad...soggy and nothing special. And I didn't like the fries sauce that came with it. Also, none of the sauces on the table were anything special. The bobby burger sauce is a very generic steak sauce, I've had much better sauces at other premium burger joints. The spicy ketchup was just strange tasting. Sounded like a great idea but I did not like it one bit. So I would go back for just the burger if I'm ever at this mall. But I would not make a special trip for their food. It is not any special compare to other burger places.

Ugh. WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE IS THIS! the burgers are OK. I had a cheeseburger and they put one tiny little piece of lettuce in my burger. They also put a tiny little piece of the hard bottom part of the lettuce in my fiancé's... you guys can't afford a decent piece of lettuce??? The fries looked like they only gave us scraps. Yeah, no. The only reason I'm giving this part 2 stars instead of 1 is that the staff were fast and efficient at cleaning up the tables and fast at getting the food out (even though food pretty much sucks) Please do yourself a favor and just save your money

Delicious burgers, just wish they were bigger. My first experience here was not too good but since then I've had no problems. The first burger I had was a Carolina and man I sure as hell did not ask for triple green onion slaw but it was LOADED and was the only thing I could taste. I was almost offended by the cashier who gave the previous customer great service and was friendly but once I came up I was met with a straight face and low volume voice. He also spelled my simple name wrong... Besides that the burgers and fries are great just don't expect anything huge.

Located on the lower level in Montgomery Mall (near Old Navy), Bobby's Burger Palace is a welcomed addition to this mall. My colleagues and I recently embarked on a search to find the best burger near our office (North Bethesda/Potomac area) and I'm pleased to say Bobby's - so far - ranks pretty high on our list. In fact, collectively we rated it a 7/10! I ordered the griddled cheese sandwich since Bobby Flay, in his own words, doesn't serve veggie burgers. Seriously, google it. No matter, this sandwich alternative is delicious! I substituted goat cheese for the swiss that normally comes with it, and it was great. The dill pickle that came alongside the sandwich was also tasty - nice and crunchy thankyouverymuch. (See pic) My colleague ordered the Crunchburger, a cheeseburger topped with potato chips. She really enjoyed it too. (See pic) As a group of 6 hungry adults, we shared: 2 orders of fries, 2 of the onion rings, and 1 of the sweet potato fries (see pics). The regular fries were just ok, but the other two were awesome! The horseradish honey mustard sauce that came with the sweet potato fries was excellent so be sure to ask for extra when you order. A few tips: -Ask for a frequent diner card. You can rack up points toward free food. -Come early! We arrived just after 11:30 and were able to beat the lunch rush. Otherwise, it gets CROW-DED and seating becomes next to impossible. -If you order the grilled cheese, ask them to go light on the oil/butter they cook it in - I probably used 5 napkins to blot the excessive grease. I will surely return to try one of their milkshakes!

My wife and I were pretty excited to try this place. Unfortunately, we were a little dissapointed. The restaurant is a hybrid I guess of sit down/fast food. You order and pay for your meal at a cash register, then seat yourself with an order number. A server then serves you your meal when its finished. All the burgers are named after a city. My wife tried a Dallas and I tried a New Mexico. We also got a half and half side of sweet potato fries and onion rings, with a mint chocolate chip shake. Everything is freshly cooked, which is a plus. But the food itself is underwhelming. The burgers are somewhat small for the price, and there's really nothing special about them. Plain, mostly unseasoned patties. Interesting toppings, but nothing crazy. The sweet potato fries were also pretty bland and flavorless. The onion rings were great. Freshly battered and real onions, and they're HUGE. But again you don't get much. A half order of onion rings consisted of two onion rings., which, while they're big...come on. Here's the thing about BBP....it's not terrible. It's just not great, ESPECIALLY for the price. For two burgers, a side and a milkshake, I paid $30. If it were half that price, I'd be satisfied with what I got. The food is just a tad above fast food as far as flavor. I'm not sure if the Bobby Flay name raises the expectations of what the food will be, but it seems to really only raise the price. Overall, it's ok, but not worth the price.

BBP opened 10-22-2013 and Bobby Flay was there. The line to order your food was slow - probably due to new staff, but once you order your food, it does come out quick. Had the Bobby Blue burger - it was cooked a perfect medium and tasted great. They have a lot of sauces for your burger on the tables. The sauce for your french fries is pretty good. Beer prices are cheap - just $3.50. Happy this place opened at Montgomery Mall.

My brother's a pretty frequent visitor of BBP in CP, but he wanted this today for his birthday lunch so we all went. The burgers are good, and I mean for $8 it's not a bad deal. $5 for a milkshake though (They do have boozy ones too btw)? A little steep. The sitting arrangement is communal and the one downside was that the floor wasn't clean (definitely saw gum and other bits and pieces of trash here and there) All in all, if I'm at Montgomery Mall and I want a burger, I'd go here. I ordered the burger of the month, which was quite good. And we shared an order of sweet potato fries and regular fries. The portion sizes are definitely generous.

This spot should be interesting for future folks once they can serve alcohol. We ordered our proteins and carbs to go since it's football Sunday. Burgers were wrapped with love. He tried the Dallas option while I custom-ordered mine. Both medium rare. Large patties and the juices overfloweth. I see why they double packaged the goodies. Request to go and you too shall discover. Sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside with moist inners. Each burger came with half a pickle. Since I'll comfortably be at home I picked a mango milkshake while he chose the black and white. Thick and rich these treats were. Lactose may not like me but I liked 'em. When BBP is all set I'll try another milkshake with rum as an accessory -_0

The Philadelphia burger was delicious with loads of provolone and just the right amount of peppers. I really enjoyed the mint chocolate chip milk shake. The only complaint I have is it is a bit pricey.

I had the classic turkey burger and was not impressed. It was just cooked ground turkey....no flavor aka seasoning added - they have sauces at the table to help salvage your burger (chipotle ketchup and jalapeno something). I also had the standard fries and they weren't addicting. Grand total of $13 - notice how I didn't have drink or a shake. They did offer 1 alcoholic beverage, something basic that I don't even remember. Overall, it killed the huger pains...they have great customer service and it's very clean. Stop by if you are in a 5 mile radius but be sure to get a fancy burger.

The best thing about Bobby's Burgers is the convenience. It's finally possible to get a real burger (i.e. not McDonalds) inside Montgomery Mall. I had Bobby's Black and Blue burger on my visit, which comes with bacon and blue cheese. I asked for it medium well and that's how it arrived. The patty was juicy and the bacon crisp but at the end of the day, it was just a decent meal, nothing spectacular. The cashier wasn't particularly warm but the server was enthusiastic and checked in a couple of times, and quickly brought a box when I asked. I'd still prefer Five Guys over Bobby's but it sure is convenient to not have to hike across the parking lot to enjoy a burger at the mall.

TLDR: They have extremely horrible people skills. I was agressively told to leave "get the hell out" for being on my phone. I was watching a video and the "owner" was giving a test (this is a messy resturant, not an exam room). We spoke and before I could say I would turn off the video he commanded me to move to a different table. He lied about being an owner. He was actually just a domineering manager. I'm making sure all my friends know how terrible this place is and tell them to go to Five Guys across the street. I had just eaten at Five Guys before this encounter and they are AMAZING! This guy just cost BBP thousands in future sales and now he's exposed for the world to see. Fire him.

Burgers are juicy and tasty. The onion rings are a must have! Not too heavy on the grease and fried perfectly. Quiet large so be prepared to share or just eat them all! The service is a downer.. it takes a while for them to take your order.. get ready to repeat at least 3 times of your order. Time waiting for you food is spotty... it can take a while and it's sad if you've been waiting more than 15 minutes. The folks who bring you utensils, drinks, and food do not look happy working there. I think I get a more cheery person at the McDonald's drive thru. :-( Will return just for the burgers if I'm having a craving. PS- You sit at one long table so get ready to find a table of 4 or more together.

We tried the Crunchified and a Dallas with a half and half side of fries. The dipping sauces for the fries were ok, I think the fry sauce is similar in flavor to pimento cheese, I'm not huge fan of horseradish so the sweet potato sauce wasn't a winner for me. Now the burgers, next time I will definitely order the crunchified with actual toppings, not just cheese and chips, I kinda missed the lettuce and tomatoes. the meat itself, was very tasty, mine was a lot saltier than the Dallas, maybe it was just the chips, but regardless. The Dallas was also quite good, the bbq sauce was different than what I'm used to. I think if you're craving a burger, this is not a bad choice, still not my favorite of all time, but definitely worth a try, if anything you never can go wrong with chips on your burger. My only complain is that placement wise my chips were very uneven, so I had to do some burger reconstruction.

Went in to try the healthy options of Bobby's burgers. Thank you Alexandra for showing me the Dallas Burger topless salad. It was delicious ; the burger was cooked perfect medium (pink throughout ). Salad had the perfect amount of dressing and the slaw gave it a nice crunch. Close to home I will be back with the wife.

On the one hand, the burger patty itself is actually pretty tasty, but the package is underwhelming. I guess I could have given it 3 stars, but honestly I think Wendy's would have the edge in a head to head blindfold competition; so 2 stars. I had the Philadelphia this afternoon. The provolone cheese was of mediocre quality and the buns were too bready and uninteresting. Overall, the sandwich was on the dry side and underwhelming. If you find yourself at Montgomery Mall and in the mood for a burger, save some money and head over to Kraze Burger in the food court.

This is a super welcome addition to Montgomery Mall! Coming here for the first time you may be a tad bit confused. You order at the register and then seat yourself BUT they do bring your food to your table. The burgers are pretty good, they have your standard burger and then several different combinations of burgers! You also have the option of doing a beef burger, turkey burger, or a chicken sandwich with all menu items!Keep in mind though, Bobby's doesn't do veggie burgers. I got the Napa Valley burger, he got the Philadelphia burger, and a friend got a chicken sandwich. I don't normally like honey mustard on anything but God this was amazing on my burger, it complemented the goat cheese perfectly. The burger itself was cooked perfectly and was juicy, not overdone in any way. My first two bites were kinda salty but the rest of it was delish! Both the men enjoyed theirs a lot too :) We also got fries to share and one was enough between the three of us. The fries are the reason BBP gets 4 stars instead of 3, they were so so crispy and yummy! They do have salads, and while some may scoff I definitely want one next time. They have the option of putting a burger on top of greens instead of a bun which is awesome! I'll be back, probably a shameful amount of times ;)

another burger place? i was skeptical at first since there are so many burger places around these days, but im glad i tried this place! the burgers are not too greasy and they also give you a nice portion of fries. pretty expensive though - burgers are $8-10 each and then, of course, they get you with the additional sides you have to buy. also, the milkshakes are NOT worth it, do yourself a favor and go to chick-fila at the food court if you want a milkshake, its bigger and better, and bigger is better wink wink.

A great burger, solid fries, and a delicious malt. What more could I want? Bobby's burger palace is easily worth the cost, even if it may be a bit pricey. I will be back here again regularly.

I frequented the College Park location a few times after it opened about two years ago. Bobby's burgers are good, but somewhat pricey for the size of the burger. I just expected it to be bigger! Anyway, I finally came to the Montgomery Mall location last night and it's the same as my experience in College Park. Good burgers (my favorite is the LA burger) but I'm never full off just the burger! I get sweet potato fries ($3) because 1) they are delicious and 2) I need them to fill me up. Staff was nice and very accommodating. I'll be back once in a while! I would probably come to this one over College Park because parking is free here and not there.

Went to BBP last night. First the register person didn't know what they were doing so we had to repeat our order a few times. Now the food. Terrible! I ordered the Classic, medium, came out well done which makes a burger hard, it didn't taste good either, I guess all the flavor was cooked out. Our french fries were over cooked making them hard and crunchy, the entire order was like this. My wife's turkey burger was OK. I am sticking to Clyde's who never disappoints me what I order their burgers. Won't be going back to BBP.

In the burger saturated region of the DMV, Bobby's burger palace falls short of many others. The burger was cooked well, but the bun seemed directly from a plastic bag. The bread was a bit thick for the size of the burger and the meat was not very flavorful. The issue is Bobby's burger taste like the highend burger of a drive through fast food chain. Bobby's falls right in a strange category where it is better than your standard drive through (Wendy's, Burger King etc) but it definitely falls short of the great DC Burger joints. Bobby's was very uninspired burger in comparison to the other big players in the area. Do yourself a favor and go to BGR, Shake Shack, SmashBurger, Elevation Burger, or Black and Orange. They each have better burger and better fires.

As someone who doesn't normally eat a lot of burgers, I have to say that since trying one, I literally crave Bobby's LA burger. The service can be a little slow and it can be hard to find a clean table during a rush, but it's certainly worth the wait. Onion rings are also worth a try. Everything I've eaten here tastes fresh. Bobby made a convert out of me!

  • Aaron M.

I usually don't like celebrity chef restaurants as many seem very overrated, but this was really good. The Bobby Blue burger had lots of blue cheese, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I ordered the burger medium well and it was hovering around medium, but it was so delicious I didn't even mind! The sweet potato fries are awesome, and all the sauces they have are great (try the chipotle ketchup!). The lemonade tasted fresh. The service was awesome as well. You pay at the counter, then servers bring your order to your seat. They also keep up with drink refills and condiments. Everyone was super friendly, and the food arrived quickly. Can't wait till they get their alchol license so they can serve the pear margaritas like the other BBP's. A great addition to Montgomery Mall. This place is already pretty popular, so parking in this area especially with the mall construction going on is now more of a headache than ever.

Went today for the first time. I don't even know who Bobby was lol..since I went in with no expectations, I was happy to say that my burger was really good. There was a lovely woman named Erica who helped me pick my burger and explained literally EVERYTHING on the menu and all the sauces. Did you know when you get the chips in ur burger you can change the flavor of your chips? Lmao. Well anyway. She was great and the burger and the atmosphere was great... I did pay about 15 bucks for the sandwich, fries and a lemonade .. Was the burger worth the price ... Idk.. The burger wasn't the best I ever had. But it was pretty darn good

You can see Bobby's sign from the 5 Guys in the shopping center across the street. Like many people here, we came, we ate, we are going back to 5 guys.

The food is pretty tasty. But I discovered something disturbing in terms of food safety on a second visit after being only marginally impressed the first time around. Our first time, we ordered the "Brunch" burger-- a fried egg on top of a burger. Clever. My wife liked it so we decided order that again, but made sure to ask for well-done fried egg because the first one had a runny yolk which I don't really mind my wife hates. I was shocked to learn, when I asked for the well done egg, that they cook all the "fried" eggs in the morning--so, they're serving an undercooked yolk that has been sitting in a prep tray all day!?

The burgers here are decent and have been consistently good the few times I have been here. I will not return to this place, though, because of the service I witnessed the last time we were here. While my boyfriend was ordering for us (he literally was at the cashier ordering and paying not just in line), I grabbed a seat. A waitstaff lady came up to me and asked me if I had ordered. I explained that my boyfriend was doing that. She asked me to get up until we had paid and had a number. What?!?! I explained to her that he was literally at the cashier, and she reluctantly left me alone. I then witnessed this woman do the same to two other parties. It was so awful to watch. The next party she asked to get up until they had ordered was an older elderly lady who clearly had trouble walking, who was sitting with her daughter while her daughter's husband was in line to order. The BBP lady repeatedly asked them to get up, and I was completely appalled as I saw this conversation unfold. The BBP lady finally left them alone. Then two minutes later, the BBP employee did the same to a woman who had sat down with her three small children while her husband was in line. Her kids were all under the age of eight. The BBP employee asked her to get up but the woman was rightfully appalled and argued with the woman saying that she was not getting up, that her husband was in line, and that the woman was being ridiculous. This exchange went on for a very uncomfortable two minutes or so because the BBP employee was not taking no for an answer this time. I could not believe it. The BBP lady finally left them alone but not before ruining the experience for a number of other patrons in addition to the family. The place was busy, but that was no excuse for what I witnessed that day. I will never return here.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite before a movie at Arc Light. We had the palace burger and the LA burger and split fries. The food was delicious. The portions were generous and service was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back.

Tack on another star. Couple very good experiences recently. Consistency points. LA Burger has been exactly as expected. Notes for management: Onion rings have come out a bit heavy recently. A little grease-logged, but nothing inedible. Occasional mediocre fries. When they come out fresh, they're even better than I remember a couple years ago. When they've been sitting a few extra minutes, they lose a lot of luster. Anyway, this is an upgrade, so on a positive note, fresh consistency is prevailing.

Place is always empty when I come in, but burgers are good. Nothing extra special and little high on price range, but quick n easy for a bite. Give 3 stars just because I always expect Gordon Ramsey style burgers at BBP.

I have been huge fan of Bobby Flay since eating at the late lamented Mesa Grill 15 years ago. I watched him amass what is probably the best won/lost record on The Iron Chef. I watched his "Throwdowns" religiously. One of Flay's dominant themes has always been that in spite of all his contributions to America's culinary scene, his favorite is still a good burger and fries.Though I live for fine dining, my greatest guilty pleasure, like Flay's, is a good burger and fries. As I'm on a self-imposed no-more-than-one-burger-a-month diet, today I finally took the opportunity to sample the new Bobby's Burger Palace at Montgomery Mall. A disappointment. You wait in line to place your order and pay in advance. The cashier gives you a numbered placard with your receipt so the service staff can find you when your order is ready. I drew the number 22, which, as it turns out, is almost exactly the number of minutes it took for my Philadelphia Burger and fries to be delivered. The burger, which had awaited a server for quite some time before being picked up, arrived lukewarm. The advertised grilled onions and hot peppers were in ample evidence, but the Provolone cheese was nearly invisible to the eye and undetectable to the palate. Though the burger had a slapped-together look, the meat itself was of better-than-average quality and served medium rare as ordered. The fries, served not-quite-lukewarm, were overcooked in oil at the edge of rancidity. My arteries are delighted that I left behind all but two or three. The diet Coke was outstanding, and self-served cold. Sad to say, I've got another 30 days before I allow myself another burger. It won't be at Bobby's Burger Palace.

Intrigued by the name and disappointed by the food. Burgers are very small and ok nothing special. Fries and onion rings are good but overall this food is over priced. I would rather have five guys or BGR any day. Don't waste your money, I won't.

Staff is very attentive and friendly. They have a decent variety of sauces available to choose from. Wish they have Tabasco. Fries and burgers were average.

  • Gigi F.

It was good but it should have been so much better. They don't ask of you've ever eaten there before, and they expect newbies to know what to do. I ordered iced tea, and it has to come from the kitchen. I asked for it twice, but sat for 12 minutes without a drink or silverware. There are special sauces on the tables, but the plastic bottles are so worn, you can't read them. My shake got to the table 10 minutes before my burger, do desert first! The burger and fries tasted fine , but they weren't hot. And I wish the guy in the kitchen wouldn't have been coughing and touching his hair. I'd go back if someone in the group wanted to eat there, but I wouldn't return on my own!

What a great addition to the food court fair at Westfield's Montgomery Mall! The burgers and sweet potato fries are delicious, and the myriad of creative milkshakes are an updated throwback to burger joints of the past. I can't wait to go back and try several more of Bobby's burger creations! Highly recommend.

The food is really good. Only complaint is the seats, which are like being scolded by someone with a stutter ... the discomfort seems to drone on and on. But other than that, really good place!

This was my first visit to the place and I was clearly impressed. I had the October special burger which had sauteed mushrooms and honey barbecue sauce on it. I like that they put potato chips on top of the burger for no extra charge. At 9 dollars a burger, this was delicious. The place is neat and clean. Only I didnt see any smaller tables, so if its crowded you may have share a table with some other party. But for a quick bite while at the mall, this was really good.

It was very hectic and busy at Bobby's Burger Palace on Saturday night. It's set up so you order first and then sit down so on busy nights you end up standing in line for a long time waiting to order then can't find a seat immediately. Other than the set up, the food is good, the prices are far better than expected, and their cactus pear margarita is a creative twist on the original.

I've been here many times and every time I come out slightly more disappointed. I think it's because there are so many burger places around now that there are better ones out there. That being said though, I do enjoy this place for the atmosphere and shakes. Get your burger temperature more than you typically would. Medium rare is still bleeding and raw in the middle. I prefer the onion rings to the fries at this place since the fries are over cooked and greasy for my taste. Love the atmosphere and seating area.

First time trying this place. I have to say it was very average. I have had better burgers in many other places. So if I was craving a burger I would look at other places before I would go here. We had two different burgers. The Philadelphia Burger and Dallas Burger. Both tasted pretty much the same to us. You get a large portion of fries so split them if you have a party of two. The vanilla milkshake was also average with very little taste. The fries were good but I really was a little disappointed.

Fastaurant. Laid back atmosphere. Gourmet Burgers. Crispy Fries. I think that about sums up what you can expect at BBP. Do the traditional burger or get one of their more interesting burgers; I did the L.A. burger although I couldn't really taste the watercress. I like the decor (kinda reminds me of another fast food chain that rhyms with CK)- kind of like a retro burger place meets 2014, although the spaced out seating limited seating for the place and made it difficult to talk to the group. Decent burgers at a decent price.

If you are going to be so bold as to name yourself a "burger palace," you had better be able to back it up. I had high hopes for a burger chained named for a celebrity chef whose recipes and cooking shows have been favorites of mine for years. The reality of the situation is the BBP offers poorly cooked, poorly conceived and poorly served burgers. My wife and I ordered a burger each and shared an order of onion rings. The food took a bit to come out, surprisingly since there were only 3 other groups there and eating. I attributed it to the food being cooked fresh and since we weren't in a rush, I didn't mind. My wife ordered the monthly special, the Canadian. It was advertised with a maple mustard and Canadian bacon. What came out was a very potent horseradish mustard with some maple in it. It was way too strong to not list horseradish as an ingredient. It was cooked to temperature but dripped grease. My wife struggled through it but didn't enjoy it. I went with the classic burger. I figured I'd like to start with the basics and see what they are using as the basis of their whole menu. I ordered it medium. When my burger came out, I knew there was a problem... The bun was sitting in a pool of red. I cut into it and sure enough it was darn near raw inside. I sent it back. I was given a number for my replacement. 10 minutes later a waitress comes and takes my number but leaves me no food. Another few minutes go by and I see someone walking around with a burger asking each table if it is theirs. They finally stop at my table and sure enough it was my burger. Apparently asking for the burger to actually be cooked meant I wanted no lettuce apparently. The waitress said, "Here you go, classic burger with no lettuce." Huh? The burger that I could actually eat was forgettable. It was greasy, on a wimpy bun and really just average. What a shame. The onion rings are forgettable and mostly batter. I wouldn't bother with them. The fries looked good, but I didn't have them so I can't really say for sure. Long story short: BBP is no better than any other fast food burger I've had. At least with other fast food places the food comes out quickly. Pass this one by and try out someplace in the food court.

I had the classic with cheddar cheese. I was ok, not the best burger I've ever had, but decent. The sweet potato fries were over done, but I really liked the dipping sauce. Not sure that the burger, fries, and tea were worth $14.25, so only 3 stars.

2nd time going to the palace (DC location). I wanted to do 4 stars.... I had it at 4 stars but others who dined with me were unsatisfied from slightly dissatisfied to extremely dissatisfied. Today I felt like being classy and ordered Bobby's palace classic - cheese/lettuce/tomato. 2 changes were no red onion, add bacon ($1 more). The cashier told me it came with mustard and I had to get ketchup at tables. After saying to go he said they put ketchup packet in the bag for my fries. My friend ordered the same as me minus adding bacon and the other ordered the crunchified (spell check please!) burger. Turns out you have to add lettuce, tomato to that one. It's just cheese and chips on a bun. My cashier got me to add their loyalty rewards card We decided to not eat in because there simply wasn't enough space. The tables are swirled in some areas and to be honest odd shapes make me nervous. Food wait time was a lot longer than let's say... five guys, but it is cooked to order. We asked for little cups to but condiments in (looooved the chipotle ketchup) that are not in packets for you to take home like let's say Chick-fil-a. I'm not going to lie I ate half my fries before reaching our destination but I was hungry. They were not that great but I enjoyed my burger. It was cooked as I ordered yet I had zero condiments aka my mustard on it. I used the chipotle ketchup which I'm sure was a better choice than the mustard. Unfortunately my friends palace burger was a crunchified burger with no condiments and the one who ordered the actual potato chip burger had no such chips...just a ton of mustard. 3 separate orders somehow got mixed into one mess. Their complaints = 3 stars. I will add the staff was friendly and who knows what would have happened if we discovered the mishaps there. Next time I'll remember to check my food. PS I'll mainly be back to get spiked milkshakes if they ever get their liquor license. PSS I loved my pickle.

"Fast, casual service" has arrived in Bethesda. On October 22nd, the 16th Bobby's Burger Palace (BBP) location opened its doors. **10/22/2013: Inside, several media members were able to "meet and greet" and have Q&A Session with Bobby Flay himself (really nice guy, by the way)...and get first dibs on the delicious menu items.** Outside, a long line of customers anxiously awaited entrance into the brand new BBP -- and for good reason. With affordable menu items, including burgers (certified ground angus beef, ground turkey or chicken breast), sides (french fries, sweet potato fries, giant beer-battered onion rings), milkshakes/malts (spiked!), salads and sandwiches, there are plenty of delicious options to choose from. Any burger can be "crunchified", by adding potato chips. I highly recommend this. Or, keep it simple and get the Crunchburger (topped with double American cheese and potato chips). All burgers are served medium, unless otherwise requested. There's no wrong way to order your burger. Whatever you do, don't forget the fries...and milkshake! BBP is now open at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD. Get there!

Sunday afternoon: place about half full. Five minutes waiting in line, listening to cashier push their affinity card program with the same talk over and over. I took it to shorten the speech. I will throw it away: not going to carry another piece of plastic in my pocket. Have they heard, it's 2013: smartphone app. They have a display chart that is useful showing how they cook their burgers by the register. Using it, I wanted medium. The cashier then went to explain what medium means, and I said, "I know, I just read your chart" and he had the need to continue describing their cooking standards and procedures. Please, dude, just get on with it. Bobby's Blue Burger, medium, with side of fries. Bill: about $11.50. Food arrived 15 minutes later. I don't think that's particularly fast, but I was not in a hurry. Burger cooked to order and as described. Not bad at all, but no awesome. Bacon on it was tepid like it had been sitting around in a warmer for a few hours. Mehh. Fries were tepid. Fries go downhill quickly and need to be served quickly. These were not. Mehh. The place was good enough that I will try it again in a couple of months. Until then, I see no reason to pay twice as much for something that Five Guys executes better. NOTE: I like burgers, and one of the reasons this place exists is that people who like burgers often eat with people who don't like burgers. If you're in that category as well, I think the place is worth a shot.

Very good burgers. They are made to order and the quality of the meat and bun is impressive. The two negatives are the fries (a bit soft and salty for my taste) and the milkshakes (they taste too artificial and bland). I cant comment too much on the decor because it is located in a shopping mall.

We ordered the following1) pistachio shake 2)sweet potato fries 3)onion rings 4) crunch salad 5) LA Burger 6) palace classic burger. If I were to give stars out for the food items I ordered that actually tasted decent I would only give one star... that would be for the shake. Because i enjoyed the pickle that came with the burger, I'm feeling generous and giving out 2 stars. While the shake tasted good, it was pretty watery when it arrived. Everything else that we ordered from this place was way too salty and subpar. The salad that my boyfriend's mom ordered was worse than a salad from a cafeteria. It was basically a few green leaves on a small cheap plastic plate (everything besides the fries came on these plates) that way overpriced. The LA burger and the the other burger we ordered were salty and absolutely had no grilled beef taste to it. The attempt to be a want-to-be gourmet burger place was an epic fail. None of the ingredients put on the burger went together well. I would have rather gone to a Five Guys. The wait staff also took our number while we were still waiting for the Classic Burger we ordered and was obviously forgotten. When we mentioned it to the wait staff, the one team member promised to get it, after taking our receipt, put the receipt inside the dish washing area, then walked away. Finally a posse of team member came up to our table to argue with each other about who did what, who forgot the order and if we were lying and if we maybe hid the plate the missing burger came on. The burger finally came 10 minutes after the rest of our party had finished (not because we were full, mostly because the burgers tasted horrible). All in all, this is the second time Bobby Flay has burned us. Our experience and quality of food at one of his signature restaurant in Las Vegas left the same super salty taste in our mouth.

Enjoyed a medium cooked Santa Fe. Under cooked by medium standards but I believe that's on purpose. Still an absolute amazing burger. The only suggestion I could give is possibly try another bun option on the Santa Fe, did not quite go together. French fries above average, and crisp. Had a black and white milk shake without whip cream, didn't get stuck in giant sized straw. A little too loud with trendy hipster music, but my overall first impression is solid. Recommend.

We ate here yesterday on a trip to the mall. We both loved our burgers, I had the Philly burger with Provolone, onions, and peppers. My partner had the burger with blue cheese and we split the fries. We ordered our "topless" and loved them. Fries, were really not the best, and will opt for sweet potato next visit. Great service, fun atmosphere, and good burgers...

Everyone thinks they are burger experts, so I fall into the category of everyone, so hear goes nothing... Love this place, best burger place of its kind in the market. Just a few of my reasons for making this my top choice. 1. Availability to choose burger cooking temperature 2. Bun (not too much, no too little) 3. Comes with a pickle spear 4. Many different burgers to choose from 5. Price is on the money, you can get a meal for a guy for around $12, drink included. Don't want to ramble on but this is my top pick for burger only joints. Rock on!

  • Michael K.

If you're into burgers, this place is definitely worth trying... This place has several burgers to choose from, and you have the option to get your burger crunchified (which means topped with potato chips). My wife and I tried the classic style burger and the LA burger (which has avocado), which were both very good, but I wouldn't say that they were the best burgers we ever had.... The sesame seed bun was very soft and the meat appeared to be of good quality... But be careful, like many restaurants, they tend to under cook their burgers.. We asked for medium well and it appeared to be medium rare... We sent the burgers back to get our burgers done well. The service was great and the staff were friendly, and we'll be back to try some of the other burgers...

Interesting burger combinations. Good meat on burgers. Excellent chipotle ketchup. Downside is that if you ask for anything that is not exactly on the menu the order takers give you a strange look. On par with five guys, burger joint and elevation burger. Good place for families.

I went to the mall today intending to eat somewhere else. But that "somewhere else" didn't end up working out, so I tried to think about what else I wanted to try in the area. I remembered that Bobby's Burger Palace had recently opened in the mall, and walked around the food court (which is super fancy now, BTW) trying to find it. I asked someone where it was, and found out that it actually has it's own very large restaurant space down in the lonely corners of the mall near Old Navy. Well, the restaurant is not lonely-feeling at all. There are sweeping counters and bright colors, with plenty of comfortable swiveling chairs. My usual policy when trying a restaurant for the first time is to get what they do best or are known for - usually the simplest thing on the menu, so you really get to taste what they have to offer. Therefore, I went with the Palace Classic burger. It was juicy, cooked perfectly, very flavorful, and exactly what I'd want in a burger. I like that it's not all mussed up with flavors that mask the actual flavor of the meat. On top of that, I think the prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. It isn't particularly fast, but it's because they cook your burger to order. And because they cook it so well, I'll forgive them the time I had to wait for it. I wouldn't hesitate to return to BBP!

An update on my latest trip to BBP... Delectable LA Burger (I swear a scarfed it down in under 30 seconds). They finally got their liquor license, and overall, the restaurant was much more full and lively. Again, the waitstaff was super attentive, filled with smiles and friendly remarks. The only thing.... I got a milk hake (hitch was a very rich, creamy strawberry) but they must have put the straw in in an odd way because there was a BUNCH of paper in the shake, especially as I continued slurping. But, I love shakes a lot and it was a good one, so I kept on drinking....

The food is great both the burgers and the sides but I don't like this format. I don't like to wait to place my order and pay in advance and then wait for food to come. I like to sit down and have my order taken and then served and then pay at the end. That said, the food was cooked exactly as ordered but for the above reason I would probably not return. If it was a sit-down I could easily give it a rating of four or four and one-half stars.

A fusion of fast food and CPK. Delicious burgers come in various styles and favors. While the burgers are slightly pricy, drinks are only $2. Had the Palace classic burger and it was cooked to perfection. Kids loved their milkshakes. Service was very good; seats were limited so be prepared to share a counter. .

Literally, the best burger I've ever tasted...and there are a lot of options in the Washington DC area. Great variety. Great fries. Love the unlimited soda options. Restaurant-level service and no tipping! Friendly, happy wait staff always make it enjoyable experience.

Some of the best burgers in the Bethesda area, definitely the best place to get a burger while in Montgomery Mall. Nice little restaurant with a funky design. I attended a birthday dinner here and ordered the Crunchburger (burger with double American cheese and potato chips, hence the 'crunch') which was deli. Also came with a generous crunchy pickle slice, which for me is a must have with a burger. Fries were about average, nothing too special. Onion rings were slightly better. Everyone at the table ordered a well done burger, and only one had to be redone as it was pink in the center. All in all, a good dining experience.

Why I wasn't surprised, but was still disappointed... I will admit that I have watched the food channel more than a few times. And watching Bobby Flay cook is pretty amazing. But my take on his cooking is that he typically does minimal adulteration to steaks and burgers - sometimes just salt and pepper. What I am most impressed with is his mastery of creating sauces and sides that moves the steak/burger/whatever to great heights. So my expectations for a burger place were mixed. Perhaps the burger is not Bobby's best medium to showcase his talent. I ordered the "Dallas" and fries while my friend ordered the "Dallas" with a turkey patty. The burgers were OK. They weren't bad but I didn't walk away thinking this was the best burger I've ever had. On the plus side, the burger itself was cooked to a perfect medium rare. They would gain points for this but I ordered it medium. Still the patty was tasty. The BBQ sauce was OK, but sparse on the burger. They definitely lost points for the bun. While it was relatively fresh, it was too thin for the job. The bottom was soaked through by the time I got half-way through. The fries were OK. They had the look of fresh cut, but over-cooked and under-seasoned. They came with a side of some kind of dipping sauce. Meh. There was ketchup and mustard - plus they had chipotle ketchup and jalapeno sauce. I know Bobby is big on chipotle chiles but I'm much more a fan of serrano and tabasco chiles. Finally they get bonus points for the assortment of milkshakes. Overall if I was near by and someone wanted to eat here I wouldn't say no, but I doubt I would go out of my way to eat here again.

I went to Bobby's Burger Palace on 12/7/2013. I was underwhelmed. The burger was just a burger. Oh, I could have gotten it "Crunchified" but putting potato chips on a burger isn't something I wanted to try the first time I go to a burger place. I always try the burger as bare as possible to actually taste the burger. I ordered the classic burger and fries. The fries arrived cold, but my server who I can't say enough good things about replaced them with some straight out of the fryer. Even those were hard and over cooked. But they were hot and just meh. The first batch was hard and over cooked and cold. As for the burger, as I stated earlier, it was a burger, not the best burger I have had, and definitely not the worst burger I have had. It doesn't go in my top 1/3 best burgers I have eaten. The burger didn't cover the bun completely but was cooked exactly to the temperature that I requested. The taste was "JAB" (Just Another Burger). They had a few different sauces for you to try, I tried their Spicy Ketchup and their BBQ/A1 type sauce as it was described to me. Both were just OK. Nothing to write home about. They have beer listed on the menu, but for some reason their liquor license hasn't been granted and they have stickers on the giant menu saying "Coming Soon". Overall, I would say there are many better burger places in the Bethesda/Potomac area to go to. The food wasn't awful, but it wasn't anything to jump up and down about. To me the place is overrated and isn't anything to go out and rush to eat.

Ordered take out.......got home, missing a burger. No phone number on the ticket. Was told our credit card will be credited......we shall see. If that is the way it works out.....okay resolution to a problem. Restaurant seems very clean. Onion rings tasteless and soggy. Do NOT understand the french fries.....no flavor, tasteless and bad texture.

My first time trying this place out with my husband and we loved it! When we walked in, we noticed how clean the place was. We went during a time that wasn't super packed and we enjoyed that. We were greeted with a warm and friendly attendant named Joshua and he did very well in explaining the menu and substitutions for us. My husband ordered the Bobby Blue burger and I ordered the Brunch Burger with a Vanilla Milkshake and 2 orders of fries Our burgers were cooked to order and precise and our fries were crispy - not soggy, and came with a lovely little signature fry sauce. While I've read many reviews that claim Five Guys is better, I would have to strongly disagree. Five guys doesn't have as many toppings and/or sauce variations as BBP does. I still enjoy five guys but I would pick BBP over it any day. I swapped out the american cheese that comes on my burger for the queso sauce and the attendant suggested I get it on the side just in case I didn't like it - Great Idea! I loved the queso and also added some Chipotle Ketchup to give it a little heat. The egg was cooked perfectly and my burger patty was juicy and tasty. I've been to burger places where the bun doesn't hold and crumbles apart and this bun didn't so I was thrilled to eat a burger that didn't fall apart as soon as I bit into it. I can definitely appreciate that! Our attendant brought our food to us and I noticed that when customers were not in line, he was assisting in spraying and wiping down tables and checked on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying our meal and overall dining experience. We were truly satisfied and thrilled at the creativity in our burger options. If you're looking for a great dining experience and great food - this is where you want to go! The Milkshake, while a little pricey at $5 a pop, was absolutely delicious. I would pay for the whole meal with the shake all over again. We will be back here again!

First time ever to try this at Montgomery Mall. Nice location with outdoor access if necessary. Great staff - Chrissy was very helpful in taking my order. The burger with jalapeno is what I ordered. It was medium rare as I ordered but was VERY dry. How can you do that with medium rare? Really. I can only assume they are frozen patties. Only two little pieces of jalapeno. Burger is small (almost like a McDonald's original burger! Grilled onions should have been chopped. Way to much of a bun on top, almost non-existent below the hamburger. Very disappointed and then tonight when I was told it was a Bobbie Flay experience I was in shock. Must be a media frenzy event if people really like this. Won't be back.

Burger was good. Had the Pacific Northwest. Needed a little more cooking. I ordered medium but it was more medium rare. Milkshake was good. Fries are poor. We have been there twice and both times they have come out cold. Ordering and picking up need a lot of work. The lines move slowly and they seem to have no idea what to do when you come in for a pick up order. They also need to have a closed container for fries for takeout. They are just in an open pack and will fall all over the place.

Great burgers... they don't look very big when you get it, but they are tasty, delicious and filling. The roll is key to making this a great burger. Never a long line, and decent prices for a very, very good burger.

My first time at a Bobby's Burger. It wasn't my choice to go there, but my husband loves a burger and we wanted to give it at try. Sadly, the wine and beer wasn't yet available. The cashier said it would be in around December 5. The cashier was a little slow, but since the place is so new, I assume she was too, and she was eager and thorough so I expect this to improve. We chose a seat and the table was dirty. I asked our server if she could wipe it and she did, quickly enough. The food arrived. I ordered the Bobby Blue Burger and husband the signature crunch burger. The food was very good. Buns are good but not huge, so there wasn't a ton of bread in relation to the burger. THe bacon on mine was delicious, thick, and fresh crispy. The blue cheese was very good and just the right amount. And importantly, the burger was actually cooked properly. I haven't had a medium rare burger in ages, most places seem incapable of turning out a burger not cooked to brown all the way through. The only downside is that I can't imagine I'll ever try another burger since the Blue was just so perfect. The crunch burger--husband was sorry he didn't get bacon, but he was happy with the crunch of the potato chips on the burger. He said he couldn't so much taste them but they provided the promised crunch and went well together. He was pleased to find out they will crunchify any burger so he'll likely get his bacon and crunch too next time. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive for what you get. It's a darn good burger, delivered quickly and fresh in a casual and airy atmosphere.

Black Market in Garrett Park has, hands down, the best burger in the DMV. However, BM is neither cheap, nor quick, nor easy. Sooooo........BBP had a quality burger. I had mine to go and was very surprised. Well cooked, overall a solid place for a quick burger. I'll be back eventually.

I went on opening night. It wasn't too busy, and every employee was helpful and efficient. The person taking the order needed a little help to figure out the system. I ordered a turkey patty, which seemed to confuse her- she thought I wanted both the beef and the turkey! But she asked for clarification and it all worked out. She also informed me and got me started with the rewards program which I appreciated. I had the Crunch burger with sweet fries. The burger was perfect. I liked the fry sauce that came with the regular fires over the horseradish sauce. There are different ketchup and sauces, which I like. You can add however much flavor you like. Pleased with the service and the food.

I can't say I'd rush back but I'm glad I tried it. The place was very clean and you see staff pick up everywhere. Cons: bun is way larger than the burger and the burger wasn't nearly as tasty as one would think Bobby would create. It was meh. Nothing special and kinda thicker than I'd prefer. Onion rings were good but HUGE while I like the thinner ones a bit better. Lots of sauces to choose from but I think there are far better burger places in the same price range. I'd go back if someone I was with wanted to try it but otherwise I probably won't be seen back there. Nothing to write home about.

Competes with the best in the area!== I ordered the Bobby Blue Burger and friend had the Palace Classic. Table service was prompt. Burgers were great, well-flavored and juicy beef cooked exactly as requested with fresh toppings. We had soda and tea to drink but noticed that they offer regular shakes, alcohol-spiked shakes and margaritas as well as wine. My burger had applewood bacon and crumbles of bleu cheese, both just enough to complement the burger without flooding out its taste. The sweet potato fries were just crunchy enough and tender inside, and the french fries were a real treat, hand cut, perfectly cooked, easily as good as Five Guys' fries (which I consider the best fries in the MD/DC area). Prices were comparable - a little higher than BGR (our usual fav burger place) but that may be due to mall rent. Nice airy, open decor with a slightly retro but not kitschy-cute feel, I especially like the counter seating. === Glad we tried this place and we plan to return; the burgers were equal to the best we've had in the area, and those alcoholic shakes look very tempting.

Pros's, menu is interesting, sweet potato fries taste good and nice sized portion. Burgers are just ok nothing special. Food comes out pretty fast. Con's Service. Seem really disorganized. Patrons sit at tables with other patrons, so takeout might actually be better because many times not enough seats and many seats left uncleaned. Servers bring out food but they don't put any silver ware out? Quality of food does not match price.

I never got to eating a burger at this place since I literally walked in and asked the cashier if they had grass fed meat (she was very pleasant. A blonde didn't get her name) the blonde asks her morbidly obese co-worker if they had any and she (the co-worker) had the most sarcastic/facetious remarks ever about my question. I was so upset that I literally had to walk out. Never going back there again.

For what it is, BBP is truly great. Affordable burgers, cooked to your temperature, with excellent and inventive topping combinations; delicious shakes; and delectable beer-battered onion rings (I'll get back to you on the fries and sweet potato fries later). The dining experience is appropriately casual, the service is quick, and the place is spotless, too. My only recommendation that I have is that BBP should give you options on what kind of bun you want with your burger. That'd be cool. Oh, and also: BRING BACK THE NAPA VALLEY BURGER. You can't beat goat cheese on a burger. Anyway...BBP isn't the kind of place that you'd go on a saturday night date, but who cares? The food is really good and the price is right. For two, expect to spend between 20 and 25 dollars. Not so bad, right? People, ditch the Golden Arches and discover what a perfectly medium-rare burger made of REAL, TASTY ingredients tastes like.

BGR: Now there's a burger chain worthy of a name with royalty in it. Bobby's: Not even in the same "realm" (get it?). I had high expectations for Bobby's Burger Palace since it's a Bobby Flay joint. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. We ordered the Dallas burger and the crunchified (w/ potato chips on top) Carolina burger, both medium well. The burgers were cooked correctly and were o.k. Nothing spectacular. This is a personal preference, but I like substantial, hearty buns. These are soft and wimpy. It just doesn't seem to match the proportion of the meat and toppings. The fries/onion rings were the worst offenders, however. While the portion is enough to feed two, we didn't even finish it. The fries had zero seasoning or even salt. The onion rings are cut very thick, and also had no taste. They were also bursting with...oil. Really disgusting. Next time I am at the mall and crave a burger, I will go to Kraze Burger upstairs. I'll get a more satisfying meal and save a few bucks too.

My new favorite burger spot! I used to be loyal to five guys but not any more! My favorite is the crunch burger, it is perfectly seasoned with 2 slices of Cheese and potato chips on top which add the perfect crunchy/saltiness to each bite. Can't wait for them to get their liquor license so I can have the delicious margarita (a steal for $5!).

Went to Bobby's Burger Palace last night and was less than impressed. I ordered 3 burgers, 2 fries and 2 sodas and was handed a bottle. When I asked for a cup, the cashier looked at me funny. A woman came up and said that she would get me a cup. ?? We were given a number that stood on the table and didn't fit in the slit above the condiments placed on the table. The condiment containers were empty. Our seats were facing the pick up window. I watched our food come up and sit there for 10 minutes. Then, a young boy brought 1 burger. I told him that I could see the rest of our order but he didn't seem to care. I walked up tot he expo and told her that our food had been sitting there for 10 minutes. She said "I know' I will get it to you now. The patron next to me ordered a salad that was delivered with no utensils. Service was awful! Food was okay. Not sure if I will be back. Disappointing. No manager in sight!

Has great potential. Quality meat. Great sesame seed bun. Really good shakes. But ... way too much salt - on the burgers, fries and rings! Need to get more consistent on cooking burgers to the requested temperature. Seating is a bit of a challenge, especially if customers linger. A nice addition to the neighborhood, even better if they fix some of these start-up issues.

Came on a Friday night but almost walked out because there was no place to sit unless I wanted to sit in front of or next to a stranger. Seating is like one long winding diner counter. I'm all for making money but squeezing in guests like sardines instead of having separate tables or booths is cheap. Which by the way, the menu isn't. Burger, fries and a drink plus tax and you are out $13 minimum per person. Give me a break. You can go to a regular sit down restaurant with real tables and real food for that much. Had just a burger, the Palace Classic. It was fine, nothing negative to say just that the flavor was a bit plain and the tomato wasn't ripe. At seven times the prices of a McDonalds dollar cheeseburger, is it seven times as good? No, of course not. It's better in that it has more meat and a nicer bun, but not better in taste. Since Bobby Flay is a creative chef, I'm surprised he didn't put some more interesting burger choices on the menu like buffalo or ostrich at these prices. Since one visit doesn't do a place justice, I may come back and try another variety in a different meat such as turkey or chicken. Before leaving I wasn't sure about giving a tip. It's walk-up to place you order, then someone brings the food to your seat, plus you get you own drink. I didn't, assuming since there was no place on the credit card slip to write one in, they weren't expecting one. Also I'd worry about the guy next to me pocketing it after I leave.

I love Bobbys burger place for four reasons. 1.) their spiked milkshakes. What a fun way to fun up a milkshake? It's a milkshake for adults. FYI: if you order the spiked milkshake you cannot take it outside of the restaurant because of the liquor. My favorite was the bourbon milkshake. It's calories for a purpose! It's calories on a mission! 2.) their sweet potato fries and the house honey mustard sauce that accompanies the sweet potato fries. The honey mustard sauce is a perfect flavor profile for the sweet, salty and crunchy fries. The house honey mustard sauce has a tangy wasabi taste. 3.) their juicy burgers and the wide range of fixings. You can get a different themed burger so your burgers are never dull. The burger itself is perfect medium so it is pink in the middle. It's a tender and juicy patty! 4.) their quick and friendly service. This place is a party in your mouth!

As with the trend lately, "celebrity" chefs attach their names to a popular fad or concept and enter the market to gain some market share. The current fad: the "gourmet" or "different" burger chain. The "celebrity": Bobby Flay of Food Network fame. I don't have anything against Bobby, but this place is average at best. While the staff is always pleasant when I've gone, the food prices tend to give me pause. Perhaps this is just the cost of rent being passed down to the customer, but the price of a burger here is not worth it. Not at that size and not with that flavor. You start with a protein(I typically get turkey) then decide if you want to "crunchify" your burger, which means you can further add to America's already out of control obesity epidemic by adding nasty American cheese and potato chips to your burger. Spell it with me- Y U C K Then you can choose additional toppings via the geographic location they are famous for, for instance Philadelphia's being provolone, onions and peppers. An ode to the Philly cheesesteak; which btw-I ate at BBP's in Philly (it was just as mediocre as this place)...then choose sides if you want any and a drink. The sides were forgettable, but I must admit-this place makes a great chocolate malt, and that's it's one redeeming value for me. While the burgers are small and the sides are nothing special, if you like shakes and malts I suggest you check this place out. In a nutshell, if you're trolling for a burger, this isn't the place for you. But, if you'd like a good shake, you should check this place out. The shake alone moved this from a 2 star to a 3 star review. That should tell you something.

I was hoping for good burgers like Shake Shack or something. Instead they were burgers in between the level of McDonald's and Five Guys. five Guys is way better. The burgers were pretty pricey for a mediocre, very tiny burger with not much to it. I ordered the Dallas and Vegas. I ordered them both "crunchified" which is adding potatoe chips inside the burger. They also have extra sauces: jalepeno (tastes like knock off Tabasco jalepeno), chipotle ketchup (ketchup with a small kick, I liked this one), burger sauce (some sweet concoction version BBQ but didn't taste like any BBQ at the same time; I didn't like it). Vegas - I didn't know it wouldn't come without lettuce and other stuff. It was just: bun, cheese, beef patty, peppers, chips. It was the most bare burger I've ever been over charged for. The beef wasn't even tender but it was so oily that the bottom bun was so soggy. Dallas - this burger came with more stuff: coleslaw and pickles. The coleslaw was ver bland with no taste. I needed to drown it in chipotle ketchup regardless of the BBQ sauce inside. The pickle over powered everything. They used a sweet BBQ sauce. The bun was also very soggy. The only thing decent was the half and half (they let you get half fries and half onion rings which equaled two tiny onion rings) and the strawberry milkshake. The fries and onion rings were crispy. The fries are more like Boardwalk fries. The milkshake was thick and you can taste the strawberry ice cream. It's not like McDonald's shake where it's like strawberry yoohoo. I would pick Five Guys anytime over BBP. I wouldn't recommend or ever go back. Not with the money for edible burgers that sound creative but come out as a rip off.

Came here for a lunch with a few co-workers. I've actually been eyeing this place since it opened a location at College Park, Maryalnd. I had the original crunch burger which is a normal cheeseburger with potato chips in between the top bun and burger patty. The burger was juicy, not at all mediocre. It was a bit on the salty side but i think it was the chips that made it a bit saltier than normal. I was surprised that the burger didn't have any veggies in it - you know, the usual tomato and lettuce, that was a bit disappointing. I like how the burger was a good size, i finished the whole thing - and didn't feel stuffed, but i was satisfied :) They do have a variety of unconventional burgers to try...which i really liked too. This place is definitely not your average plain jane burger place. The fries and sweet potato fries were really delicious, very crispy and you can tell they double fry those babies! It was goooood. The staff and service was awesome too. Very friendly and welcoming! Overall, the food was good, no complaints, decent prices, but i won't go out of my way to come back here if i had a burger craving.

Everyone at this BBP deserves a round of applause, because the service here (when I attended for the Yelp Elite Event as a part of Westfield Taste 2015) was spot on! The food was also fantastic, though I didn't eat nearly as much as I would've liked because I was SO FULL already (Yelp Taste Event). It's pretty awesome that such a good burger joint is in the mall. I only wish this were the Bobby's closest to me!

Great themed burgers for under $10! I've been in the area for under 2 weeks, and I've already tried 4 of their burgers, their onion rings, and their sweet potato fries. I love burgers, and whenever a place as a good and not too overwhelming variety, I'd love to try them all. The 4 that I've tried are: Dallas Burger - Spice Crusted / Coleslaw / Monterey Jack / BBQ Sauce / Pickles. This was very flavorful, and I enjoyed it a lot even though I'm not much of a Coleslaw fan. Philadelphia Burger - Provolone Cheese / Griddled Onions / Hot Peppers. I expected this one to be spicy, but the peppers didn't do it for me. It was one of the blander burgers I've tried, but it was still good. I just expected more heat. L.A. Burger - Avocado Relish / Watercress / Cheddar Cheese / Tomato. It tastes very "LA-ish," so they got that part right. I love the avocado, cheese, and tomato. The watercress was "just there." BBP also crunchify burgers free of charge (add chips to burger), and this one works better without being crunchified. Brunch Burger - Fried Egg / Smoked Bacon / American Cheese. I love burgers with egg. SOOO GOOD and so satisfying cutting that yolk so that it spills over. Mmmmm. The burgers were good, but my different visits were not consistent. One thing that bothered me the most was that sometimes the meat was over salted that it took over the taste of the burger. Their onion rings are great - very big and crunchy. One order contains 5 rings, and if you order the half and half side with the rings as one of the sides, it comes with 2 rings. Their sweet potato fries were a bit bland, but they were good. They weren't over seasoned so you can enjoy it with the sauces that they have. The tables contain a tray with a variety of their sauces - a jalapeño sauce, burger sauce, chipotle ketchup, mustard, and ketchup. My favorites are the burger sauce and the chipotle ketchup. In addition to the big city / place themes, they have an additional burger each month. For example, January 2015's burger was the Canadian burger. I'm excited to see what other seasonal themed burgers they have to offer. BBP is not a traditional restaurant setting. You go in, order, grab a number, find seating. Food gets brought to you. Tables can be limited, as they aren't "private" unless you are in a large group and manage to find a table for the whole group. Most of the time (especially when they're busy), you'll need to share with others. It's not the place to go if you want to eat in a traditional restaurant setting, but it's definitely a great casual place to try/frequent if you like different burgers. Yes, you can sub the beef patty with other protein and such. Let's hope you get the good chefs so that the patties aren't overly salted to bury the taste of the toppings!

I enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak inspired burger. It was really good. Like others have stated, I wish it was bigger. For these prices the burgers should be half-ponders. The sweet potato fries were delicious. The only thing about this place I don't like is the communal seating. Also the location is not the best. BBP should be closer to the food court. I would definitely consider this restaurant the next time I'm at the mall. A nice adult milkshake is a great way to start/end a shopping trip.

I was really excited to give this place a try. BP and I came in for lunch on a Monday (took off work) and were really happy with our experience. It took a while for me to understand the way to order (you pay for the toppings), but I liked adding the chips to the burger. The burgers were cooked very well, the fries were tasty and we also split a mint-choco shake. It was divine. Worth a try! I like the décor a lot! So trendy :)

I visited bobby's burger palace today first time (4/14/15). It wasn't crowded when i arrived placed my order, handed a # card my coffee milk shake came first, a few minute later my burger "bobby's palace burger" (lettuce, tomato, red onion). Great burger! Fresh toppings crunchy & flavorful. Shake great coffee taste. Real plus "real cream" whipped cream. The shake was really thick-served w/thick straw & a real metal spoon. Service good. Worth a second visit.

As this place is basically a hamburger place, it is best compared with such places as Five Guys or Fuddruckers. And it suffers in the comparison. You get bigger burgers for less at both Five Guys and Fuddruckers, and I think the burgers are tastier at the other places too. At Five Guys, you pick your toppings, so each patron can customize his burger to have exactly what he wants on it. At Fuddruckers, there are some set combinations (one of which I really like, so I usually order it) but if you want, again you can order each topping that you want singly. Not so here. All they have are the set combinations, and most of them have something (like mustard or onions) that I really dislike. When I was trying to figure out what I could order, the woman behind the counter suggested the Miami, which had mustard (which I absolutely detest) and when I told her that that was a problem, she said they could do it without the mustard. And they did. So it is possible at least to customize it that far. But you can't order just whatever combination of toppings you want; that is not an option here. And it's strange. One of the ingredients of the Miami is ham. There certainly was ham that I could see on my burger, but it was the most tasteless ham I've ever had. It could have not been there for all it did for the taste. The burger was rather small. Given that for a burger, an order of fries, and a drink I paid about 40% more than I'd have paid at Five Guys (and approximately the same amount over what I'd have paid at Fuddruckers), getting such a small burger was definitely not a good deal. The fries were a decent-size portion, but still a smaller one than I'd have gotten at Five Guys. So certainly on a value-for-price basis, this place is inferior to the other places. One positive thing is that the fries come with a rather nice dipping sauce. I normally don't want to put anything on French fries other than salt. But the dipping sauce here complemented the fries rather well. Yet even here there is a negative point: they don't give you enough sauce. I could have used at least 50% more than what they gave me. I normally do not like to review a place based on a single visit. But I don't expect to be here again any time soon, and I thought it necessary to post this review even though I've only been here once. I might come back in the summer, to sample their shakes (they have some interesting flavors, but not up to the number that Z-Burger has). But there are much better alternatives for burgers & French fries.

Was craving a good burger so headed to bobby's burger palace to dig in. Been here before and the burger didn't dissappoint. Really cool and different atmosphere, beer is available (5-6 types). I ordered the Carolina burger plus bacon with onion rings. You can crunchify any burger by adding chips to your burger (nice touch). Burger was cooked as ordered, bacon cooked to perfection, warm soft bun, cheese, nice and melted. I hate getting burgers with un melted cheese. Onion rings were big and crispy, about 5 to an order. The person who served us or food was very nice and attentive. Overall, a positive experience.

I have been about 5 times now. I have to say this is way about Shake shake and while I love 5 guys, this is more gourmet burger and more interesting. Our burgers are always Med rare--tough to get actually--and fries or onion rings always hot (not so at SS). I have to say the service is getting better and better--friendly quick nice people nice experience. I have to say I think that this is a great Saturday date night with a movie at Arc--my wife and I did last night. BBP is quality and care and a damn good burger.

The L.A. Burger is really good! I had the it well done and it was still very juicy. The sweet potato fries were really good as well. I would go back to order this again! Five stars!!!

Bobby's Burger Palace is ok. The burgers are OK at best. I ordered a Crustified Dallas -- That consisted of "Spice Crusted -- Cole Slaw -- Monterey Jack -- BBQ Sauce -- Pickle -- Potato Chips -- It wasn't bad at all. But it was nothing to get excited about. The employees are ok, The standard "hey, welcome, how are you?" -- I asked what the cashier's favorite burger was or any good suggestions... I got nothing. NBD though, still a friendly person. But for the price of the burger, I personally do not think it was worth it. Plus side of my experience though, the food came out quick! So at best, it would be a great place to go to grab a quick bite, sit down, and run.

Great service. The staff is always super attentive and really nice! The burger selection is quite original compared to what is available in this area. The Dallas burger is amazing! Coleslaw, BBQ, cheese and pickles! The New Mexico burger is also great! It has queso, pickled red onions and green chili which is native to this mountain state! A great variety of sauces is always provided! The sauces are actually quite original! They have a Chipotle Ketchup sauce which very interesting! My favorite is the burger sauce. Yes! Burger Sauce!!! As a side for your burger, they offer beer-battered onion rings, French fries, or sweet potato fries! All are great! However, make sure you split it with someone; they're all massive! You'll find adult milkshakes on the menu; haven't tried them yet; but will soon!

Had a craving for burger, so we found Bobby's Burger Palace. Some people say that they hamburgers are small, honestly, I thought they were a perfect size. I had the Brunch, great flavor, fair price. The milkshake was small and slightly over priced, but tasted very good. I would go again, even though the staff has a bit of an attitude, almost like they are doing you a favor. Awesome that they care enough to respond! Definitely going back, thank you.
