It's been almost 15 years since I've walked into a Spangles, which is a regional chain in Wichita, KS promising to have the best burgers around. So I wanted to be nostalgic and grab a quick lunch before traveling on. Spangles was offering 2 for $5 offer on sourdough philly cheesesteak sandwiches. That was a mistake. The portions of steak, peppers, and onions were correct but it was ice cold in the middle. To save time, they take these pre-portioned meat pockets and throw them on the grill. The problem was that it wasn't warmed up correctly. It was refrigerator cold in the middle and the cheese wasnt even melted. The fries also have a wierd crunchy artificial taste coating, definitely not how I remember them. The cost for two meals with drinks and small fry final total was $12.23. Not sure I would give priority for Spangles over any other FF joint.
