Staff is HORRIBLE! First time there last week and didn't care for the pasta. She didn't explain the process or anything. I don't think she even looked at us as she was taking our order....very rude. I like al dente but they don't know that meaning...way too hard. Food wasn't even hot when brought to table. The cheesy garlic bread is amazing! We ended up ordering an extra 6pc because they were so yummy! Unfortunately, there was only 5 on the plate. Then they had the nerve to talk about us like we were lying...interesting. Rice Krispies are AWESOME! Won't be back...STAFF SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Don't go to Schererville location

To be frank, this place is gross. The management doesn't have any control. The restaurant is always dirty, you have to ask someone to clear off a table for you, and most of the time they "clean" it with a nasty brown stained wet towel. The floors are always dirty, the drink station is sticky and is always missing something, and the management is just plain rude. The food is okay, but the portions are weird. You get the same amount of meat on a small as you do a regular, but you get double the amount of noodles in a regular. It doesn't even make sense.

Nope, didn't like. I had Mac n cheese, the macaroni was al dente. I like my macaroni cooked completely. My friend had noodles buttered and chicken and broccoli. Her noodles weren't fully cooked either. The menu is extensive with noodle items but I won't be there to try them. Prices aren't too bad though, I will admit.

I was really excited to try this place cause I love pasta. But sadly I was disappointed. I ordered the pesto pasta and Cesar salad which tasted good. I thought it was overpriced for the portion. But when I was done eating I was still hungry! I also thought the staff was rude and had no personality. Also, the flow of the place was dumb. And if you order to go you have to awkwardly stand somewhere because there is not a set place. I wouldn't return because I wasn't even full by the end of the meal and the people were as nice as a wet noodle.

I visited this location for a first time customer ever to Noodles & Company. I was extremely disappointed. I didn't receive my soup with my to go order. I emailed the company and complained. I received a response and a phone call from the manager and he told me he was going to send me gift cards in the mail. It is now approximately 4 months later and I still have not received my gift cards.

Tried this place for the first time today. Was not impressed! The actual noodle portions are generous but the add-ins are not. I paid extra to have chicken added to my noodle dish and only ended up with 2 pieces of chicken no larger than the size of a chicken nugget. Not at all proportional to the size of the noodle dish. The seasoning that they put on the noodles was very flavorful though. That was the only perk about the whole meal. Very overpriced for what you get! And, the place was WAY too loud!! Couldn't even hear my own thoughts! Probably won't be going back there again.

Pretty decent chain eatery, there's a step to many of their menu items. Pick a size dish, pick your noodles, add a meat, pick if you want a salad or soup to add on. I had an Indonesian Peanut Sauté and they warned me it would be spicy. It was ok but had more spice than flavor, I think it needed additional peanut sauce. You order a dish and they bring it out to you. You get your own drink. When you are done, you leave your dishes. My friend got the Asian pan died noodles which also looked tasty. I was told that it is 100% satisfaction guaranteed, so if I didn't like my peanut dish they would replace it right away. I think next time I want to try the pad Thai

I ordered the Indonesian Peanut Sauté. It was actually really good. I ordered it because it was the spiciest thing on the menu. Upon arriving, I was given an overview of what they offer, because one of the cooks noticed that I had never been there before and was unfamiliar with their menu. He stopped cooking to come out to me to explain how the menu worked. That was really nice of him to do. The restaurant was clean, and although I sat outside to eat, several people came outside to check on me. Which I liked. If you haven't been, check it out.

I'm sick & tired of this place always messing up my order! I've been here 3 times & it will not b a forth! I asked for extra sauce every time which they charge me for but my noodles are still dry! Who eats dry pad thai?? They said when your noodles sit it soaks up the sauce but I only drove from my place of work & back which is up the f'n street!! Why is it that ANY other noodles & co. I stop at can comprehend EXTRA SAUCE but you guys cannot!???

I have been here a few times since they opened... At first I was happy here. I have been to the Valpo one many of times before since that was the only Noodles in the area. I was happy however today... Today... They didn't have the ice teas I enjoyed before. Just a regular ice tea and then a lemon decaf one :( I went there before for the other teas they had I really loved the berry one but looks like its gone. The tables were dirty... all the booths were and they stayed dirty for about 10 more minutes. I had to stop a lady bringing out food to wipe down the table I was sitting at because there was some crusty smudged mystery dried on it. Food was good I did enjoy my Thai soup and my kids liked theirs. I will be back just hope they get their act together soon. Would like to see a kids meal deal

I am not one to complain, but after visiting this location I feel people need to know how terrible it was. It literally looked like they have never vacuumed ever (see photos). The staff was rude and slammed our food down in front of us. I opened my silverware and there was food stuck to my fork. I kindly asked for a new set and the server tossed it down in front of me. My husband went to get our drinks and half of the soda machine was empty (it was around 7pm on a Friday night). We ordered the Wisconsin mac and cheese and it was just plain noodles with the cheese sauce in a pile in the middle. They were also out of the appetizer we ordered. We have been to other locations and loved the food... Totally disappointed and disgusted with this location.

Been wanting to try this place since i first heard they were coming to my area. Anticipation is a muthaf@$! I was somewhat disappointed. The place was not clean at all. I mean there was food, straw wrappings and sticky floors...ew...after we placed our order i notice the servers wasn't wearing any gloves. It seemed to me only teenagers were there and no.real present manager to complain about the cleanliness. However i had the japanese pan.noodle which was ok. Portion wise it was decent. My husband has the spicy indonesian thai which was like the previous review said...no real.flavor but very spicy. It was "eh" at best. Will I be back probably not there. I will try another location in the area such as the one in munster . If all.fails i know Penny's noodle won't. By the way we took our food to go. Did you think we wanted to eat in filth?

We have been to many noodles n company and this by far is the worst. For the fourth time since this location has open we have gotten home with our order to find something missing (last night was grilled chicken). The tables tend to be dirty the soda drink is always out of flavors. The one time I complained to the manager about a meal we were eating in he looked like he was going to shot daggers at us. What a shame that this was the 1st noodles in this area and this is what a lot of people's first impression will be. We also go to the location in Munster and do not have the same problems. So I implore you all to skip this location.

Do yourself a favor.....put an Easy Mac or spaghettios in the microwave and you will be experiencing a much better pasta experience. Ok, so maybe that is going overboard BUT we had 4 entrees. Every one of them was so al dente that we were crunching noodles. Second, nothing had great flavor. The bangkok curry was meh, the pad thai was a soupy sauce so incredibly un-remniscent of pad thai and the buffalo mac and cheese had old hard chicken on it. To make matters worse, our total was $40.00 which is more on point with Olive Garden prices and I would have gotten a soup and salad with it. so disappointed!

Terrible. Walked in at 7:45pm on Sunday and half the tables were dirty and garbage on the floor. Fast food style counter ordering. .Young, dirty-looking kids working. No manager unless it was one of the kids. Had Japanese noodles and the other meal was Mostaciolli. Terrible, not hot, pasta was pre-made, small portions, poor flavor. You would think based on their name that the pasta would be top notch and fresh. I've had better out of a can. Typical place that is unmanaged with care less kids and no interest in excellence. They will be closed within a year unless they get new management and a new formula for fresh tasting pasta. This place is more properly named "McDonalds Style Pasta without the Trained Staff or Cleanliness."

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
