This location just opened up a few months ago. Waffle House goodness, right on 10th in Jeff. They stay busy! No surprises, just good hot cheap food. Come for the cheesey hash browns, stay for a refill and people watching.

Pizza is prepared fresh while you wait, then take it home and pop it into the oven. Good and hot! My favorite pizza place by far. Their stuffed pizzas are huge! One piece and you will be satisfied, but it is so good you will eat another and then complain about how stuffed you are. Don't miss it!

Took my wife here for our 10 year anniversary and had a great time. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, room was great, price was great! I would recommend this place to anyone.
This is a wonderful BnB. We really couldn't ask for anything more. The innkeepers were very nice and hospitable, the rooftop deck had great views, the rooms were extremely clean and had a large hot tub, and the breakfast in the morning was amazing with fresh fruit, pastries and gourmet hot food. The inn is within walking distance to all of the restaurants on the river, which provide a great view of downtown Louisville across the river. There is also a walking bridge near the inn where you can walk across to Louisville while taking in marvelous views of the river. This B&B is one of the best, if not the best we've ever been to. The innkeepers go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it can be.
I surprised my fiance with an overnight stay for his birthday. I had packed a bag (unbeknownst to him) and put him in the car and told him not to make any plans until the next afternoon. We got a bit lost (my GPS wasn't playing nice with me) and he got really nervous... for absolutely no reason! The owners are lovely, friendly, unobtrusive people. There is a communal fridge on each floor, equipped with tape and a sharpie for labelling food (we had some leftovers from dinner and a bottle of white wine to chill) - extremely convenient! I also loved having coffee and a wetbar in our room. Breakfast was delightful. We've rarely felt so pampered. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience! The best part? The value!!! Much less expensive than its Louisville counterparts! AND we got to explore a bit of Southern Indiana!

Star Sushi

2781 Jefferson Centre Way

Reviews:
I should first mention that I generally don't care for Sushi, in fact I avoid it, if I'm asked "hey want to go out for Sushi?" I'd decline almost every time. So use that to gauge my opinions. Fist of the place is surprisingly pleasant and has the vibe and decor you'd expect. Simple but effective. All the table settings were in line with what you would expect to find at a Sushi bar and yes the Sushi bar was typical to others I've been drug into. For a non-sushi person the menu was a little annoying, It seemed to assume you knew all about sushi and required no explanations. I was with a group of 8 people and I seemed to be the only one who did not get the menu although the other 7 had been here several times before. Some items were cooked but there were no indications as to which. Some items would read " crab and avocado with fried marinaded crab on top". Did that mean the crab inside is raw or not? It does not say. You had to write your order on another piece of paper separate from the menu which is typical for most sushi places I've been in. However many of the items on the menu were not printed on the form. You just have to know your supposed to write them down in the blank area. Then the waitress comes around and asks everyone what we want to order, okay why did I fill out this paper if your just going to ask me like in any other restaurant? So the food is served quickly enough and all of it was very pretty and well presented. Again since I'm not a sushi fan it's a tough sell to make it look appetizing to me, they did everything on everyone's order looked good and interestingly presented. My limited exposure to sushi places is that i generally leave hungry and feeling like I was ripped off for the cost. Further, part of my dislike of sushi is that I tend to find it bland with too much rice and not enough of whatever th theme is. In most places and my family and friends who love it seem obvious to this fact but as you watch others eat it the often drown it in sauces, ginger wasabi and other things, well to give it some flavor! If it can't stand on it's own then why bother. If I have to cover it in soy sauce and peppers or garlic then to me it was not prepared correctly to begin with. So I was surprised that at least what I ordered was plentiful, (in fact mor than I could eat which is rare) and had lots of subtle and distinct flavors. I felt no need to dunk it a sauce or add anything to it. It was not my favorite thing (I ordered the Jeff roll and the Tokyo Roll) and both were okay to me, which in someone else's book might mean really great sushi. Did it sell me over on sushi and make me salivate for the next time I have some, No. I'm still not a fan, I love sea food and I don't mind it raw at times but I find sushi mostly bland and pretty, I get the feeling I'm there because people think they are cool for eating it and for as much as I see friends who have it then want to go somewhere else to get something else to eat tells me it more about the presentation and hipster effect than actually really liking it for a lot of people, even if they won't admit it. And if you love it so much how come you have to soak in soy sauce and other dips to make it edible? Anyway if coworkers ask to go back I won't say no next time and I enjoyed going if not totally in love with the actual food. BTW a vegetarian in the group ordered tempura vegetables and they were wonderful!
My first time here, and the employees are a little impersonal. The saba not very fresh, and while the nigiri pieces are large, I expect the food to be as fresh as others claim. The prices are about what one would expect, though I have never before had to pay for cucumber salad. Not sure I'll return.
Southern Indiana known for corn, the Colgate clock, being close to Louisville and one I bet you didn't know, amazing sushi. That is due to Star Sushi. This little nest egg tucked away in a strip mall off 10th Street in Jeffersonville is just about the best sushi you can find this side of the Atlantic. My family and I should have frequent flyer cards for Star, it is just about a once a week outing for us. They have you're regular sushi bar fare like tempura, soup, salad and California rolls but the specialty menu is where it's at. I prefer the SB roll myself. I love eel but you can't go wrong with any other roll on the menu. If sushi rolls are normally too small for you, don't worry about that here. Most of the rolls come with 8 pieces and each piece is a mouthful. Do yourself a favor and go get your sushi on. You won't regret it!

Harleys Hardwoodz BBQ

Reviews:
Only found this place because of yelp and I'm glad I did. Went with coworkers who'd lived in the area for years and had never even heard of it. Harley's defines the term 'Hidden Gem' - it has some of the best bbq I've ever tasted but you'd never notice it tucked away in a quiet shopping plaza. I ordered the "dinner plate" with brisket, which comes with two sides. I went with the mac 'n cheese and cole slaw, which were both tasty. But the meat here steals the show. My coworkers went with pulled pork, and we were all equally impressed. Brisket came dry but was so juicy I really didn't need sauce. Pulled pork came smothered in BBQ sauce. Service is fast and friendly, and you can't beat the price. I think I spent less than $9 for the platter & drink, and left fat and happy. My new favorite spot. Never change!
Thanks to Yelp found this little place when I had to change hotels. Enjoyed talking Q with the owner! Had the sausage, brisket and ribs with Mac & cheese and potato salad. Got more than I could eat! Also got to try one of the smoke wings. Those will be on my plate next time!!! Enjoyed all of the food. A lot better than the chain Q places in the area. Come give this place a try!
Get the chili. It is great! I also ordered the brisket roast and it was fine but I like meat and not fat. mine was half of each in my serving and I am grossed out by fat. I am not going to eat it. Does anyone actually eat the fat chunks?? I can't even imagine that. I put a picture up so you can see I literally mean 1/2 & 1/2. I loved the chili. It has a different taste and I don't know what it is but it is good. I would definitely go back for the chili! Good mac-n-cheese too. Definitely worth a try.

Ann’s By The River

Reviews:
Stopped in because it looked like a cozy place to have a meal...kinda like the old mom and pop place in the small town I grew up. Boy was I happy we stopped in, it ended up being one of the best homemade meals I have had in a long time, since we just relocated from Prince of Wales island in Alaska. We had the deep fried cod and it was excellent. I like the lunch room style setup and the friendly staff. You almost feel like your at thanksgiving dinner with the family. I highly recommend this place if you want to go into a food coma.
Ann's is a fantastic southern style option in the Jeffersonville area. The fried chicken was great and the roast beef au jus looks amazing. The white gravy and mashed potatoes were clearly from scratch and delicious. I'll be back. Robert
To whom it may concern ann's by the river is a great place too go for some good good food home cook style now coming from a person who loves too eat lol this is great the prices are reasonable the atmosphere is ok you have more seniors that comes in & eat a lot but for the most part everything is wonderful you know that it must be if I'm putting my stamp of approval on it which I don't make a habit of doing omg. You A Carry Outa Chinese Fast Food

1551 E 10th St
Jeffersonville, 47130
Reviews:
This is a great place to grab some food on the way home from work when you're starving and not in the mood to cook. I usually end up getting two things and eating one for lunch the next day. Most places have insane portion sizes but here I can actually get something feasible to eat in one sitting, which is a really nice change. The people running the restaurant are cool and always friendly. Love it. Their menu is on my fridge so that must say something!
I found the sweet and sour chicken from You A Carry Outa to be puzzling when I opened the "medium" carton and found 6 small pieces of chicken smashed in on top of a salad of uncooked cabage, tomato, green pepper, and very pale pineapple. Perhaps more puzzling was the very very small carton of white rice which could not possibly have been a medium. However, despite the tiny portion size and the throw away salad, the chicken was deliciously crispy. The sweet and sour sauce had a nice balance of flavors. The rice was slightly overcooked but still made a decent bed for my chicken and sauce. My fortune for today says, "A smile increases your face value." I'll give them three stars and may try them again if I'm craving Chinese in Jeffersonville. I'll just order a larger portion next time.
The best chinese food in Jeffersonville!! I love you a carry out a. yum yum. Me love you long time!!

The breakfast sandwiches are great with inventive sweet and savory combinations. The grits are a nice alternative to oatmeal. The sandwiches are on the small side, but reasonably priced, so if you are really hungry I would recommend getting a cup of soup or side.
I stop here on my way to work at least twice a week. The grits are delicious and interesting, the free samples are a nice treat, and they typically have at least one gluten free baked good in the case. Service is friendly and the cute interior is well kept. They cater as well, and everything I've had has been very tasty.
This place is awesome, I work near by so I stop swing by for lunch and sometimes for breakfast, free coffee on Tuesdays! The food is delicious, its local and everyone should definitely stop by for their grits, salads and sandwiches!

Reviews:
Let me just start by saying... What a pleasant surprise! I have to say that when my husband found this place on yelp, I was really doubtful that we would enjoy the food. The menu screamed "typical bar food" in my opinion and there weren't that many things that sounded too appetizing to me. But all of the places we wanted to eat at in Louisville (where we were staying) were packed so we crossed a bridge over to Indiana to find a place to grab a quick bite and this place had good reviews. It is a little awkwardly located but parking was plentiful and so was the seating inside... Our server was Jessica, who also greeted us at the front. There was only one other table of people in the entire restaurant which I initially thought was a red flag, but I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Jessica was super friendly and knowledgable of the menu. She also brought us menus from the adjacent restaurant, J Gumbos, because they served food from both restaurants. We ordered a couple beers while we looked over both menus. I opted for the Kentucky bourbon barrel ale and it was AWESOME. It was my first time trying it and I loved it so much that after we left, we stopped and bought some to take back to Tn with us. Jessica told us that the food next door was really good and she could bring us a sample of anything we wanted to try. We took her up on that and asked to sample the white chili (vegetarian), bumblebee stew (also vegetarian), and the crawfish étouffée. My favorite of the 3 was the bumblebee stew. Wow, so good! We didn't order any, but I wish we had gotten some to go. Our least favorite was the white chili. The clove spice was so overwhelming for both of us. We had never tried crawfish étouffée before and we both really liked it so we ordered a kid's size portion; $4 for a decent helping, including rice and a piece of cornbread. We also ordered from the quad cafe menu. I chose the veggie burger (slaw burger style with cole slaw and american cheese) and french fries with ranch dressing for dipping, and my husband ordered the angry fish sandwich with spicy tarter and american cheese as well as french fries. Both of our entrees were really good. The veggie burger tasted like a Morningstar black bean jumbo burger (I actually think it may have been) with decent-but-not-great cole slaw and cheese. I added the onions from my husband's fish sandwich (he hates them) and I thought the burger was really tasty. Even if it was possibly a pre made, frozen patty. We both really enjoyed the fish sandwich. The piece of fish was huge and it the spicy tartar sauce was good but not that spicy at all in our opinions. The fries had ranch-type seasoning on them which was awesome and the actual ranch dressing tasted homemade, whether it was or not. Kind of "typical bar food" to an extent I suppose, but really good. I liked that they offered food from J Gumbos as well because it was kinda cool to try two good restaurants in one stop. It was a little sad to me that they weren't busy because we both really liked these places and I feel like with some advertising, they would stay busy! If we are ever in the area again, we will certainly stop by and at least grab a beer, some fries, and some of that bumblebee stew next door!
Thus far, I've only been to the J. Gumbo's inside Quad Cafe. Quad Cafe also has a full bar, but my work crowd usually avoids imbibing at lunch. If you've not been to J. Gumbo's before, you can't go wrong with the Drunken Chicken. If you can tolerate spicy, try the VooDoo Chicken. Most of the meals will come as a bowl of white rice with the entree of choice ladled across the top. If you have been to J. Gumbo's before - it's what you remember from the other locations. However! This particular location serves sweet cornbread instead of the typical J. Gumbo's garlic toast, and that makes for a great item to mix into the bowl. I like to pair the Voodoo Chicken with the Bumblebee Stew for a mix of hot and sweet.
It isn't often that a restaurant makes a complete turnaround, but when I walked into Quad Cafe tonight I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. Since the last time I visited, nearly a year ago, they have made the following obvious changes: -Massive remodel including tearing out walls to open up the area between the restaurant and the bar. The restaurant now has a local gastropub vibe instead of looking like a dated and disorganized diner. The decorations now include big black and white photos from Jeffersonville's history. -The party room that was backing up the restaurant the last time we visited is now completely gone. It has been replaced by a J Gumbos which is owned by the same owners and opens up into Quad Cafe's dining room. We were able to order from J Gumbo's menu and have the food delivered to our table at Quad Cafe. -The menu has been simplified and is congruent with the overall local gastropub feel. If you haven't visited Quad Cafe in a while go back and check them out again. I'm sorry that it took me so long to discover what an amazing restaurant they have become.

Best pizza in the entire universe!!!! Been eating here since high school in the early 90s and it still never fails to please. My favorites are the shredded sausage and pepperoni as well as the bread sticks and the best nacho cheese ever. Live in KY now but make the drive for The King on the regular!!
