I would rate a zero if possible. This must be the most inflexible staff and venue in history. Money money money - if you don't have it, don't book your event here. After spending over 10,000 I still couldn't get a thing done. Actually billed $400 for bringing in a cooler if water - Completely unsatisfied. So many other options out there no reason to be frustrated and waste your money with this place and the old bag factory

Ladies and Gentlemen, soon to be Brides and Grooms, I cannot stress enough how you should avoid this place like the plague. Yes, it might be a beautiful venue with better than average food; BUT they are nothing more than a bunch of unorganized, unprofessional, liars. Walk-thru: Renee walked us around sharing in our vision of décor and lighting. Seeming to be on the same page and understanding our wants and needs. Saying things like, if you rent the entire floor space you can decorate however you'd like, we don't have any preferred vendors, this is a raw space decorate however you'd like, with restrictions of some candle ideas (no big deal). LIES, ALL LIES!!!! Walk-thru with our vendors: excited to see what they envision with our ideas and Pinterest posts. Turns out, we weren't going to be allowed to decorate however we wanted. We couldn't hang fabric from the cross beams (WHICH THEY POST PICTURES OF ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE). We couldn't take down their cheap Christmas lights, even if we paid to take them down and paid to put them back up after our event (AFTER THEY TOLD US WE COULD). Our vendors were no longer allowed to be on ladders during their set-up or tear down process. Keep in mind our vendors came highly recommended and carry a $2 million insurance policy. They (B&C) insisted that all work must be done by their minimum wage, uncertified, uninsured workers. This was news to us because like I said our vendors came highly recommended and had worked in this venue before without any problems. Now in 2014, all of a sudden, they have these new policies. Because of these "new policies" you must now rely on Renee and her very uncreative way of doing things. Unless all you want are the cheap white Christmas lights running down the beams and maybe a Chinese lantern or two you must look elsewhere because that's about all their creative minds and décor policies can handle at B&C. Tasting: My fiancé and I were traveling into Goshen for the tasting, a little over four hours round trip. When scheduling the tasting they informed us their way of doing a tasting was packaging food in doggie bags and "allowing" their clients to take the food to friends or family so they could have input as well or we could "make a picnic" out of it. We informed them due to the drive we would like to have our tasting onsite and at a table (LIKE ANY NORMAL TASTING!!!!). Well what Renee lacks in creativity she doesn't make up for in communication skills. Needless to say we arrive for our tasting to have an assistant finishing up packing our "tasting" in doggies bags. After some resistance to our demand that they serve our food onsite and at a table (LIKE ANY NORMAL TASTING!!!!), the assistant then tells us, "well you have 45 min." because I'm leaving 3. I really don't think she understands what the hospitality business is, but with a fantastic mentor in Renee, she came by it honestly. There was no offer to taste their house wines or options of what we could pair with our food choices. There was tap water...and that had to be ask for. Pathetic hospitality, pathetic customer service!!! After an extensive meeting about what our vendors were and weren't allowed to do during set up, B&C determined they would need to carry a $10 MILLION insurance policy instead of their normal $2 million policy. Please keep in mind how much that would cost the vendor and then us for our vendors to carry a $10 MILLION insurance policy for one event. Please keep in mind this wasn't for any extravagant. This was for simple pin lighting, some fall foliage around the beams and some fabric draped to the ceiling in the dance floor area. It was like we had to insure every building at the Bag Factory. B&C then picked apart the vendors décor proposal contradicting what the contract says from anything from what tape was going to be used to how they planed on hanging lighting fixtures to running cords through or over doorways. B&C even said they felt like we had too many lights and they weren't sure they would be able to have enough outlets to supply enough power. It was like we were going to be their first wedding and they had no idea how this was all going to work. They lied and backtracked so many times and contradicted the contract so much we decided we didn't trust them to allow our vendors to execute the day of and Renee herself certainly couldn't be trusted so we broke contract and demanded our deposit be refunded. They refused at first but then a couple days later granted a refund after legal action was threated. All of this was carrying on just months away from our wedding day! We broke our contract 109 days before the wedding with no venue in mind but we knew we couldn't trust anyone at B&C to make our wedding day the special day we wanted. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE HOSPITALITY, HORRIBLE CREATIVITY, INCOMPETENT LIARS, LIARS, LIARS!!!!
