The moment I knew I had fallen in love with this place was when I stopped at the grocery store next door on a lunch break and the owner for Taco Time got in line behind me. They needed more guacamole and salsa and he was buying fresh ingredients! Good value on portion sizes and friendly, courteous staff make this my first choice for fast food in Goshen. Free wi-fi and ESPN on the tv (no volume) make it a great place for lunch.
I absolutely love this place! I eat here once a week. I recommend the mexi-fries grande it is my favorite. The prices here are great and all their ingredients are fresh, which you can definitely tell when eating their food. The staff is also really friendly and not mind-numbingly incompetent like most fast food places.
My wife and I had lunch today after reading the many favorable reviews. Well I can tell you we were not disappointed! We each had the Big Juan combo. The portion size was quite large and the food was very tasty. The salsa bar is a nice compliment to the food and we tried all of them. They are supposed to be made fresh daily and I have no reason to doubt that. You could actually taste the freshness in each one of them. No doubt about it we will be going back!

Rachel’s Bread

This is my favorite place to eat in Goshen, I only ever get their pizza but its oh so good! Its like $5.35 for half a pizza which makes the perfect lunch, I eat this twice a week, my only issue is they don't accept CC's which is ok cause more than likely its how they keep their prices down and avaide the IRS, just kidding. Also it would be cool if they were open for lunch on Monday and Tuesday since I work downtown and there are very few options within walking distance. Also their building atmosphere is really nice.
One of my favorite places in Goshen. If you haven't been here it's a MUST! You can smell the delicious baked goods and what they are having for lunch right outside, before you even walk through the door. Rachel, the owner makes and bakes all the bread herself. Most of the bread is baked in the woodfired oven which gives the bread a wonderful outside crunch and soft pillowy inside. She makes different breads on certain days. There are sourdough breads, loaf breads (like whole wheat honey or oatmeal) and speciality breads. The bakery does not have any gluten-free bread. Since Rachel was born and raised in Belgium she has mastered how to make the perfect croissant. She makes chocolate, almond or butter croissants that are available daily. On Saturdays (the most busiest day of the week at the bakery) there is a bigger selection of pastries, ranging from pecan rolls to spinach croissants (both of which are my personal favorites). Not only is this place a bakery it is also a cafe. The food is as natural, local and organic as possible. The Farmer's Market is right next door where they get most of their produce. Everyday the lunch menu is different. You can read the menu before on their Facebook page as well as their hours. The staff are very friendly and look like they are having a lot fun. On Saturdays they have two tip jars, each one with a different question so the customer can vote and some times the staff dresses up into different themes, just for the fun of it. This place is an experience in itself. It's very relaxing and you feel like you are in another country.
We stopped in for coffee on Saturday morning. They were VERY busy. We were traveling and needed to get on the road, but I had read good things on Yelp and wanted to give them a try. The line was long and moved S-L-O-W-L-Y. It is obviously a local hot spot and everyone wanted to chat when it was finally their turn to order. This tends to be very annoying when you are in a hurry, but seems to be typical of local joints. If you have time and feel leisurely, it's a nice place. Don't go on Saturday AM if you're in a hurry unless they open a second register dedicated to people who know what they want and have money in hand. The coffee was hot and they have several varieties to choose from. I ordered the chocolate croissant. It was good -- not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. My husband had the blueberry coffeecake and enjoyed it. If we're in the area again, I don't think we'd go back, but everybody should try it once.

The best ice cream/milkshakes hands down. The foods not bad but not good either, but who goes for the food. If you've never been go and if you've been well then you know that waiting 15 minutes is well worth it
This place is called the Chief for a reason! No, not because the local HS is the redskins but instead because it is the Chief of Ice cream! Homemade Ice cream with flavors like peanut butter, Banana and Lemon make this one of the best stops in Goshen on a hot summer night. Heck if it were open in the winter I would still stop for a cone! Owned by the Vanderveer's have worked very hard as the owners of this place to keep it local and delicious. Always hiring only the brightest of kids from the local HS to work their shop each summer. This hidden gem should be shown to the world. But it is already busy and will be for generations to come! Great job Chief!
I read how great this ice cream is so I had to try it. Yup...excellent!!! They give big portions and great service!!! I will be back.

Holy Schnikies! Aye caramba! It's a two hour drive for me to get to this joint/dive. And worth it. Our party of 5 recently stopped by for the 1st Friday scene in downtown. For a backwater, they do a pretty good job on a 1st Friday party. Especially loved the Porsche Owners Car Club and Show on the Square - but I digress... It's snug. Not tiny, but small and snug. Apparently, there is a gastronomic mexacali freaking GENIUS [nom-de-grill] named Chef Lopez that runs this place - hiding behind a non-descript exterior on a corner just a block NE of the courthouse. (***Thanks to the Yelp nation for putting this on the radar***) So, we've got 5 of us incl. 2 vegetarians. The less adventurous at the table stick to traditional stand-bys; chimichangas, burritos (1 a crazy hot burrito), nachos, tostadas - normal TexMex fare, and they are a happy. The foodies among us, incl me, tackle the cabeza (beef cheeks) and lengua (tongue)in traditional tacos and torta forms. My uninitiated wife immediately pronounces the cabeza as 'wonderful, delicious'. I would add soulful, divine, and 'melt in your mouth'. Probably the best torta I've ever had ($5.50), and the cabeza was front and center stage. On the side - a lengua taco. Geez, I hate to complain about there being too much meat, but it was really piled on (for a $1.50!!). AND, apparently there is always Horchata or another agua fresca at hand served as the perfect buttress to my wonderful meal. (mexican sodas are prevalent too) Unless you're ordering a few inexpensive tacos, tostadas or tortas - expect your bill for full plates to be about $10/head incl drink. It was VERY busy, and the kitchen was certainly backed up and slower than I expected - but it was solidly worth the wait. Our server was very helpful and sweet. We're going back soon for their take on Cuban Ropa Vieja!! And the cabeza.
We decided to ditch the offerings on the indiana toll road and head to Los Primos as recommended on Yelp. Well worth the detour. I had the fish taco plate special. The fish was just a little crunchy on the outside, the tortillas were tasty, all the flavors melded into a delicious entree. Nice service, too. It is a very small place and a lot of people seemed to do carry out but there are tables to sit at.
Incredible. I had 3 tacos. Steak, chicken, and ground beef. All 3 were great. Make sure you add the hot sauce. Best Mexican food in Goshen I've had.

I love South Side Soda Shop (or S to the 4th as I call it). I came here all the time when I was little. I finally managed to make it back around Christmas time. It was just as I remembered. The quarter pound burger with cheddar and bacon was just juicy enough. The yummy, fresh, greasy spiral cut fries which is enough to share with a friend. The cherry and vanilla phosphates. The homemade desserts. I had the pumpkin cheesecake which had a gingersnap crust. It was so good.
green river soda was sooo good! homemade curly fries were amazing!!
Restored Diner.. Very friendly people. Went around to the side by mistake only for the chef in the window to point me where the entrance is. The people here are so darn friendly you can really see it in their faces & smiles. I hear the clean cut crisp middle American accent in the diners voice two booths up as I'm drinking my cherry PHOSPHATE soda... dELICIOUs :D! Wow that is good! I ordered the ITALIAN cheese steakkk sub... (by mistake on the Swedish Limpa bread) Gott corrected on the choice of bread.. so made for some good conversation lOl. I've been driving around the country for awhile and just have recently been hitting hitting Guy's DDD's. Pics are taken. :)

Great place! Very nice staff, fluent in English. Tamales are amazing, and salsa is bomb too. The building is jenky and smells a bit like a pool hall, but the food is awesome. Love their horchata too!
First time here, was not disappointed. The tamales are great. Loved the salsa. Friendly service. Will come back again. Defiantly come and give this place a try.
Great tamales and salsa. Decent guacamole. Disappointed to not have a beer to chase it all, but certainly worth a visit if you're in town.

Rolling Scones

1100 Chicago Ave
Goshen, 46528
Reviews:
Don't avoid this place because of the name! Their amazing scones are only scratching the surface in this place. This place has amazing Puerto Rican food, serviche, and the best flan I have ever tasted. I actually went home and spent weeks trying to make flan like theirs, and I didn't even like flan to begin with. It's almost like creme brûlée. Their lattes are not so good (maybe that's how they make em in Puerto Rico?), and the extended restaurant area is really old and slightly creepy, being in the basement of the Old Bag Factory, but that wasn't worth giving them less than 5 stars. So if you can brave the musty cellar smell, you must eat the Puerto Rican meal on the first Saturday of the month, and definitely order flan.
Found this hidden gem while roaming around Goshen one day. This is my third trip back. They make everything from scratch and have Puerto Rican style food. My favorite is their soup. They make their soup from scratch and every one that I've tried has been amazing. The pastries are wonderful and they have gluten free options. The gluten free bar is the best and you know it must be a crowd favorite because they are often sold out. The decor and environment is so cute and cozy. I feel so comfortable here. This is by far the best little cafe in Michiana!
Rolling Scones would be very competitive in Chicago where I live. I appreciate their well thought out menu that provides a healthy option in the Goshen area, and with a daily variety that you don't see in many other restaurants.

Wonderful atmosphere and goodies!
Clean, fresh, and sugary sweetness. Light and bright space. American "danishes" and donuts. Soups and sandwiches, local greens in salads, locally roasted coffee. A gem hidden in a strip shopping plaza in Goshen, Indiana.
Childhood memories. This bakery has lived many places before resting here. So glad it's there to stay, my sisters and I chased there cookies all around the Goshen area for a while. There tea cookies, Sesamee Street face cookies, and whoopie pies are awesome! Everything is realitively cheap for a small bakery in Indiana. Staff are friendly and quick. The place is small and cozy, with a a couple tables inside. I'd say a good place to meet friends (realitively quiet) or work on things (free wifi with purchase).

I'm a sucker for a good pastry. I've stopped by this little latin american supply house off and on for 6 years. I can't seem to get past the pastry shelves at the front of the store - so this review is ONLY for the pastries. Someday I'll get around to the grocery items. It was a rainy Saturday morning and I decided to pick up some fresh international pastries to go with the copious amounts of coffee I'll be swilling today instead of cruising on the party barge this cold May weekend. Damn you Mother Nature, why have you forsaken me?! I crave the sun and the water - and a charcoal grill. Bah! I don't know the names of any of the fresh selections - I just grab a tray and wax papers and start picking. My wife complains (a bit) that the mexican pastries aren't as sweet as the standard gringo pastries. Yet, I find the most delicate ones are very complex - crispy, light, sweet... I've had a few I wouldn't choose again but the counter gal is helpful in conveying what flavors are present. I even grabbed a sweet empanada that I ate on the way back to the car. I'll be going back - I'll get some of the ones that look like crushed footballs next time - she said they are sweet cinnamon!
