The Pint Room is so much more than a bar with 124 taps. They have an amazing menu of Kobe beef burgers, that rival any of the burger joints in town. I truthfully forget that Bub's or Bru Burger are in Carmel. My fav is the Italian Stallion, which has fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, and roasted tomatoes on it. The Kobe beef is so lean and flavorful. I always get the sweet potato fries, which come with a speciality sauce that seems to have some chipotle seasoning. They also have some great apps- including the bottle caps (pickles) and the cheese curds. Obviously, they have a million beers, and I have to compliment the fact that they usually know what they have and which kegs may have ran out. This is a huge pet peeve of mine at other tap houses- if you're going to carry a lot, know what you have!

I've been on a burger kick lately. By lately, I mean my entire life. I was born with a cheeseburger obsession and, as I get older, it seems to only evolve into broader definition as to what constitutes a cheeseburger. I was formerly a strict traditional cheeseburger-eater. Mayonnaise was as crazy as I got. Now - bring it on. Give me your weirdest concoction. Imagine my delight when I opened the Pint Room menu to find the P-B-B & J Burger. Definitely not the weirdest concoction I've ever tried, but definitely one of the tastiest! Let's take this house down to the studs. The burgers here are made with a mix of Kobe and prime chuck. A seriously solid foundation for any burger. Now add sea salted peanut butter, candied bacon, Monterey jack cheese, strawberry preserves, and fresh strawberry slices. If you want to know what heaven tastes like here's your opportunity. Take a big, messy, delicious bite. Feel your heart swell with love. This burger is the best thing about Pint Room, in my humble opinion. That is not to say there aren't other great things! The fries are pretty good. The onion rings are clearly superior. The Apricot Melt was fairly okay. I'm glad I had it, but probably won't ever order it again. They calamari was divine. Pickle chips, eh. Jo-Jo's a solid good. The root beer is on tap behind the bar and de.lect.a.ble. To say their beer selection is impressive is an understatement. I fell in love with Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Shandy in a comfortable booth in the back on a sunny afternoon. Our introduction was thanks to Crystan - the lovely woman who provided some seriously top-of-the-line service. She delivered the right amount of friendly and pleasant, without ever hovering. Product knowledge wizard. She knows her stuff and if you're lucky enough to sit at one of her tables, take her advice. The inside is comfortable, if a bit hipster. That staff has not been short on smiles in my experience. Last, but not least, the location is great as well. Just off main street and shares a sidewalk with a parking garage. If you hate street parking as much as I do, this is a really big plus! Bottom line, this place is great!!

I love this place. They have more beers than you can try in a sitting and while that might be intimidating to some, what it really means is there will always be something you like. They have a great balance of local and national craft beers and plenty of different styles. I expected to be most impressed with the beer menus, but I was wrong. Their food is excellent high end bar food. Their bottle cap fried pickles are amazing. They have great wings and now they even have cheese curds. The burgers are great. There are tons of options for toppings. Some are traditional and some get very creative.

124 taps of fine craft beer automatically gets you four stars. Upland, Bier Brewery, 3 Floyds, Quaff On, Triton, Founder's, Flat12, Sun King, Victory, Lagunitas, Abita, Brugge, Outliers, Country Boy, Scarlet Lane, People's, Oskar Blues...it's Carmel's HopCat without the crack fries. Food-wise, my experience was unique, as I participated in one of The Pint Room's beer dinners: six courses + six beer pairings for $60. If my small plates foreshadowed what items off of the regular menu taste like, then tack on another four stars for food: good quality, Hoosier-approved cuisine with a few surprise elements (i.e. crab + kettle corn). Plus, sitting amongst a packed house tells me that there are many happy campers who come in and out of this gastropub. I'll be back to test out a burger for sure, especially since I'm guaranteed a good brew!

I don't even know where to begin. I was in town for a work trip and my co-workers chose this place for a happy hour event for 11 of us. We had tables around the bar area, which was nice and the restaurant/bar itself was really nice. Very cool atmosphere. The service on the other hand...OUCH. I am pretty sure she was on drugs of some sort. If not, then she had a stroke right before we came in. She greeted us fine, and took our appetizer order and a few of our beer orders. About 2 minutes later she walks up, empty-handed and asked if we'd like to start with some apps. WHAT?! Yes, we would, we just ordered them. She looked confused and then opened her book and saw that she wrote our order down. She then asked if she could get us drinks. Yup, we ordered those too. Next, she brought us Guinness', which we most certainly did not order. She walked around confused for a minute before returning the beers to the bar. A couple minutes later she walked out and handed the Guinness' to the table next to us. So bizarre. We finally got our beers, seriously like 15 minutes after we ordered them. Then our apps came, but we only had like 3 plates and 6 sets of silverware, it was really weird. Not to mention the number of trips she made to ask us for more drinks, when we literally just got our first round. She was slurring her words, messing up orders, and taking forever to bring drinks. It was astonishing. We actually at one point looked around for the ABC "What Would You Do" crew. We thought it had to be a prank show. Our experience was capped off by me going to the restroom, hearing her cracking up in the stall next to me, while she was spinning an empty toilet paper roll. It was beyond scary. Our bill was wrong, not surprisingly, and I think everyone left a little terrified. Honestly, I was more scared for her well being than anything, but management should have seen this and taken action accordingly. She was in no shape to be on the clock. The food and beers were good, but not nearly good enough to balance out the service we received.

This place. I go here every time I'm in town. I think I've been here at least 10 times and I don't even live in Indiana. Whenever I travel to Carmel on business I make it a point to stop here at least once or twice. If you're a fan of beer and amazing pub food then make it a priority to give this place a chance. It's not cheap but everything is worth the price and you cannot beat their beer selection. Each time I've been there everyone has been very nice and friendly, but not overly so. There's almost nothing worse than that fake happiness that you see and everyone here was happy but in a real way. Will definitely be back.

Great place if you love beer! So many beers on tap and so many great local beers! I got the Kobe beef sliders (it was an appetizer) and a side of fries.. They sprinkle them with parmesan cheese and they were so yummy! My boyfriend got the bbq chicken salad and really enjoyed that! I wish I remembered our waitresses name because she was great and so attentive!! The menu has anything from crab cakes to burgers.. I would definitely recommend coming here at least once if not more!! Yum!

Have been to the Pint Room twice in the past month since moving to Carmel. Was in for dinner last night, thought the visit was, in general, very good. For food, I had the crab cake melt. It came on an english muffin with crispy onion strings, greens, and melted cheese, obviously. It was a great sandwich, I would definitely order it again. Onto the more important part of the Pint Room, though, the beer. The Pint Room has 100 plus taps. So the pluses in the department would be, they have over 100+ taps. Unfortunately the downside of that is, they have 100+ taps. With so many offerings, things don't turn over very quickly. I think they had a Mikkeller event end of February, and some of those beers are still lingering on the tap list. Essentially just taking up space for something else that could be put on. With so many beers on, things just don't turnover very quickly and if there's nothing new on the list and nothing I want to go back to grab seconds of, it delays return visits. Now, while others complain about price point for the Pint Room in general, I would tend to disagree. The beers at the Pint Room can be expensive, though $10 for a pour of something special (like Green Flash Silva Stout last night, for instance), $10 is reasonable. Twenty Tap in Broad Ripple has $10 pours for limited release beers regularly, so does Hopcat. Having lived in DC and norCal, a $10 pour is expensive but not uncommon for something special. Last night they had multiple Alpine beers (from soCal, always hard to get even in CA and brand new to IN) and they were very modestly priced at $5 and $7 a pint. I was thrilled. The complaints about the practice of selling short pours for $1.75 but not handing out free samples is an unwarranted in my opinion. Part of the fun of craft beer is TRYING NEW BEERS, so order a flight of tasters as part of the experience. And in addition, if every craft beer newbie is looking for free samples, the establishment simply has to deal with the annoyance of accomodating that request. I don't think it has anything to do with $ as much as a place not wanting to pour 100 samples every night. My last note, which is where they lose a star (from 4 down to 3 for me), is the service. One of the members of my party ordered a hamburger well done last night, and then his wife ordered medium well. The server made a face like, "you've got to be kidding me." Then proceeded to mention, "we highly recommend you get our burgers medium or medium rare." After his lecture he didn't even remember what they ordered, they had to each repeat. My wife also ordered a bourbon-barrel aged stout and was then questioned about whether she could handle it and if she knew what she was getting in to. Personally, that kind of stuff rubs me the wrong way; the customer is always right, just take the order and smile. All this said, I will likely return regularly as long as the tap offerings continue to include high quality items.

The quintessential after-work place to go If you like the people you work with. If you don't, go to some place like Scotty's where there's lots of distractions. This place focuses on beer and interpersonal communication around your table! There are TVs for sports but it's just the perfect place for the simple task of sitting down and drinking a beer. End of story.

Went on the hunt for some good bar food and ended up in Carmel for the night. The Pint Room is alright if you are looking for burgers and beer. Tap list is very impressive and they run great specials (like 3 dollar pint night). However, when it comes to the burgers it leaves much to be desired. I ordered the pbbj which was very unique. It has peanut butter and strawberry jam, cheese candied bacon and strawberry slices. I am not a fan of pork so I had to x that from my burger. It was a pretty good burger , mostly because of the pb&j. The burger itself was somewhat bland and dry. The fries were pretty good however somewhat over cooked. I would come back for the location and the tap list, probably not so much for the food.

Had a good Monday date night here with the husband. Lucky for us, Mondays are Indiana Pint Night, so my pint of Taxman Blonde was $3. I had the BELT (bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato) and they let me be a PIA by customizing it with an over-easy egg and Texas toast. Soooo good. My husband had the Hangover burger and really enjoyed it. They make their potato chips in-house, and they are fantastic! It is a family-friendly place, which is great for us normally (as we have a tot), but on this particular date night, we should have sat in the bar--loud kiddos galore. Overall great food and service. We'll be back!

Quite possibly a new favorite! My husband's birthday was Saturday and we discussed a few options and after checking out my Yelp app, we settled on The Pint Room. We got there around 6 and there was an hour wait (they don't take reservations). No big deal for us and totally worth the wait. They had over 100 beers available and that was a rotating menu so he was happy. You can try a 4oz sample for $1.75 so we tried a few before ordering a whole pint. I loved that! He settled on one that he tried and I decided on a glass from New Day. We started off with some bottle caps (ale washed pickle chips with their spicy bistro sauce) with our samples and dare I say we liked them better than the pickles at Scotty's. The pickles were crispy and the sauce was a great compliment. For our entrees, he chose the shiitake and Gouda burger and I chose the Italian stallion. His had bacon, shiitake mushrooms, and onion strings and mine had fresh mozzarella, crispy prosciutto, tomato, arugula, and a garlic and lemon aioli. We both got the fresh cut fries. I loved how fresh everything tasted, especially the aioli on mine. We were stuffed at the end but oh so happy. This a must for future meals because they had quote a few menu items I can't wait to try.

I have really grown to love Pint Room. I've been here several times, and only once have I not had a pleasant experience. I am upping my rating. My favorites on the menu are the PBBJ and the buffalo chicken. This place really knows how to handle an event. I went to the Mikkeller event, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally (MUCH better than events at HopCat). Also, the pricing is much better than HopCat. This place is now my first choice of the two. Keep up the good work!

So, second time there. First time was about 2 months ago and we didn't stay as they had a hour and a half wait to be seated. This time we did. So when going need to be aware of time and day going it will matter on how busy they are. Our server was nice even if we did keep her coming back a few times to see if we were ready. Their having an awesome menu and us being so hungry we couldn't make up or minds was not a good combo. In the end we settled on The Triple (smoked cheddar, boneless short ribs, double smoked bacon and horseradish slaw) and the Bison (ground Buffalo, apple bacon chutney, blue cheese, red onion and baby frisee). To go along with all this wonderful food they have is their HUGE selection of craft brews. If you are not sure what you want or only want a little they offer sample sizes of 4 ounces for $2. This way I was able to have an amazing stout and try something new that our server suggested. It paired with my meal really well, just like she said it would. Not one I would normally get, or would get again add it's not the kind I like, but it did go well together.

Visited the Pint Room in Carmel for the first time a few days ago and came away impressed. There's a huge list of beers and liquors on the back of the menu, so you're sure to find something that you're in the mood for. The food is quite good as well. I had the Mediterranean Salmon Salad with a cup of Manhattan Clam Chowder and both were great. My sister had the Patty Melt with fries and enjoyed it as well. We kicked off our lunch with an appetizer that I can't find on the menu and so shall remain nameless but it consisted of three slices of thick bacon and was very tasty. We elected to sit in a booth rather than the bar as the latter seemed a little noisy. We were seated promptly and our waitress was pretty good, too. Parking is right around the corner in an underground garage and is free. Nice atmosphere, great food, and more beers than you can shake a stick at. Great place!

First tirip in tonight and I'm glad we stopped by. Before I get to the food review I want to speak on the service because it seems by other reviews it can be hit or miss. Our server was JoAnn and she did an excellent job. She was very pleasant and quick to check on us and keep drinks refilled. On to the food between my wife and I we had the bottle cap appetizers, cup of chili, black and blue burger with fries, and Italian stallion burger with chips. The bottle caps are just fried pickles with a dipping sauce and they were huge and delicious. My wife liked the chili but I wasn't as big a fan of that. Both of our burgers were cooked well and very tasty. I have also seen a few mentions of the toppings being skimpy but that wasn't the case with our burgers. Overall this was a very good meal and I look forward to coming back to try some different things.

Lots of different burgers and sandwiches to choose from, a few vegetarian options. Mac n cheese was super bland:( my husband had the Napoleon: wish we knew it was a fork & knife monstrosity, as the server called it. Good comfortable atmosphere, would recommend.

If you go, especially your first time, sit at the bar. There has not been a time when I haven't struck up a conversation with the bartender or fellow patron. The location of the pint room is definitely in their favor. They are in the heart of Carmel. Whenever I visit Indiana, this is always a stop. It's a good place to catch up on central Indiana's ever-changing beer scene. Service has improved over time. Good customer service will keep me coming back. The menu is solid. They have something to meet all your food moods. The staff is as well-versed with the food menu as they are with the beer.

First things first- Food was excellent. I had the 5 alarm burger with onion rings. Generous portions and great taste. It came with 6 large onion rings in place of fries for around $13. Beer selection is fantastic. I loved how the menu had all of the beer choices by type. Nice decor and plenty of tvs with sports plus movies on. Loud atmosphere and always busy. Service- Both visits here we have sat at the bar and had poor service from the bartender..week nights, around 7. Three bartenders behind the bar and I know they were busy, however it took over five minutes to be acknowledged. Then we had to flag them down when we were ready to order food...after fifteen minutes of waiting and our first beer was already empty. Four stars for the food and beer selection. Not service.

Finally tried the Pint Room tonight. Can't wait until my next time. Being a week night we didn't know how busy they'd be but it wasn't too bad. The bar area was pretty packed but the dinning area had plenty of seating. The list of beer's is pretty extensive and I went with the Kentucky Bourbon Ale. As for food, it's pretty much burgers with some salads, and a few chicken and sandwich's but its the beer and burgers that seems to rule the menu. These are not your average burgers, they combinations are a lot different. I went with the Peanut Butter, Bacon and Jam burger. It might not sound that great but it was one of the best burgers I've had. The flavor of the Peanut Butter along with the fresh sliced strawberry's really enhanced the flavor of the burger. It was surprisingly good. I also went with the Sweet Potato Fries and they were very good as well. Overall, a good experience. I didn't have any issues with the service as others had posted. Our server was very prompt, and checked on us often. It could be because she didn't have as many tables to deal with tonight. Looking forward to going again.

Even though the waitress forgot to order my meal, we still had a fabulous dining experience. Perfectly handled. Call ahead seating, perfectly timed on a Friday night. Prompt with drinks and placing order. Jalapeño poppers app was great. Bacon was cooked! I had roast carrot soup. It was pretty good. Great for my hungry self for the few minutes before meals arived. 3 meals came. Waitress admitted to forgetting to place my meal. I like that. You messed up, own it! She also said we wouldn't be charged for it. Bison burger - very good. Sliders - very good. Crab cake melt - very good but next time I'll ask to have it seared a little harder. I like outside crunch. Salad - very good. No complaints here and they will surely get our business again!

If you want a great meal with a great atmosphere, The Pint Room Carmel is where it's at! The burgers here will have you coming back every time. Newly opened, the hubs and I ventured to Carmel to try it out. We had driven by a few weeks before and made a note to try it once it was officially open. As you walk inside, the decor is nice and reminds you of a typical bar and grill restaurant. We were seated and immediately started perusing the menu. They had such a great selection of beer that it took a bit for us to decide but settled on Oberon. We enjoyed their onion rings as an appetizer and it definitely hit the spot. The sauces that came with was a honey mustard type sauce along with a horseradish type sauce, both were delicious! We were catching up about our week and the manager came to our table to inform us that our waitress had forgotten to place our order and that it was going to be coming out soon. He apologized for the delay and offered to pay for our meal. Great guy and great customer service! I'm sure being new, they are still going to have their growing pains, but they handled it like a great staff should. When the meal did arrive, the wait was well worth it! I ordered The Hangover burger which had fried egg, hashbrown, tomato, and bacon. It was so good, I literally had no words! You have got to try this burger! My husband ordered the Panini burger and it was equally delish! They have plenty on the menu and we'll be heading back again and again to try everything. :)

This is easily my favorite place to either grab some beers or a great meal. The beer selection is second to none. I'm pretty sure they have over 125 beers on tap alone. The beers range anywhere from a few bucks -$20. They do a good job of keeping great examples of the many different styles of beer on hand. Food is also really good and not your typical fried bar food. I've never sat on the restaurant side (although looks cozy for taking the kids or family) I frequent the bar area where you can find very knowledgable bar tenders, specifically Jessica and Ashley. They're really helpful at helping you pick out a new beer to try that you'll enjoy. I gotta say this is definitely my favorite spot in Carmel and one of my top 3 favorite places in all of the Indianapolis area overall.

Massive, ever-changing, beer selection. They have every taste profile and style from breweries far and wide.Top that off with an amazing location and gourmet burger menu and you have one of my favorite restaurants in Carmel.

I read pretty good reviews about his place so I was excited to try. I can agree with most of the reviews. I ordered the PBB&J burger, many noted as being a favorite. It was pretty good. The burger was cooked nicely, but the PB and Jelly was pretty skimpy. My boyfriend ordered the 5 alarm burger which also noted had skimpy toppings. The food all tasted good and the service was good too. When we got our bill though, we noticed I had been charged $1.75 for a sample of beer. I had just wanted to taste one to see if I liked it, but I didn't. The worst thing is the bartender didn't mention it at all, but when I asked if I could have a taste he just said yes. I feel like you should at least be told sure, but it'll be $1.75. Overall, good place. Very crowded on a friday night so just prepare for a wait.

I'm having a hard time deciding between 3 and 4 stars here. 3.5 if I had it my way. I've been here 2 times now. The tap list is impressive, 120 I believe it is. You can pretty much find any beer you really love in here or something of a similar style which is nice. The place looks great, which is expected as it is rather new. The first time I was here was during the World Cup (USA v Germany) and the place was crowded as expected. I was unable to find anywhere to stand at the bar area so I grabbed a table on the restaurant side with a friend. We were sat next to the kitchen which is open view so you can see what is happening. Everyone seemed to be on point and service was quick even though the place was packed. The second time I came here was with a work happy hour and there were 7 of us. We were sat immediately, and once again, service was quick and friendly. The only issue I currently have, is that both times I've come here, the food was not memorable. I am wracking my brain trying to remember what I ordered, but I cannot. It was forgettable. I remember not hating it, but I also don't remember wanting to go back for it which is rare of me as I typically have great memory about food I love. In the end, I had to go to the 3 stars versus 4 stars because it fails my test of "Am I eager to go back soon?" test in which the answer is no. I do think it is a great addition for Carmel having such a selection of taps.

Delicious things happen here. The staff is friendly and the food is scrumptious. The beer list is long and distinguished. There are so many to try, you just can't go wrong! Try the pickle chips or the wedge salad.

Burgers and beer. If you don't want a burger, your options on the menu will be significantly impacted. There are about a hundred beers on the drink menu, so that's pretty cool. Service was fast and friendly. No wait on a weeknight. Parking is wherever you find it on the street, or in the little lot across from the restaurant.

Great experience here! Lovely location, very nice decor. Spacious bar area with well-placed TV's with sports on, so I was happy. You can order little samples of beer, the list for craft beers is extensive. Bar featured a nice but small whisky selection as well. I loved this place, the staff was so nice and attentive even though they were very busy. I did not eat but I saw the mini burger sliders and they looked delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Although I don't drink beer, this was still a place I wanted to try! Liked the environment. The service was great and attentive. Cheese curds with their sriracha ranch dipping sauce were delicious. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Also delicious. Messy, but worth it. Overall, a great new spot in Carmel!

Based on food alone, I'd give this place 5 stars. Service (or lack thereof knocked it down two stars). We sat in the bar at about 11:45 a.m. on a Saturday. It wasn't that busy. There were 3 guys behind the bar and another server sampling a beer so it was pretty annoying that it was close to 10 minutes before we were even brought menus. Once we ordered, the food came out in a timely fashion but, once we were done, it was a good 15 minutes before anyone even asked if we were ready for the check. My husband had our card out on the table for another 10 minutes before a server eventually picked it up. Because we live downtown, I wouldn't make The Pint Room a destination unless we had reason to be in Carmel. But, if you're in the area, and aren't in a hurry, they do have some delicious burgers. (Hubby got the Hangover and I got the Italian Stallion.)

The food here was good and better than I expected for a place that I thought would only focus on the beer. They had a good beer selection as well. Would highly recommend trying the banana bread beer

Had a yummy dinner here with my Husband! We got the bottle caps (really good), PBB & J burger, and the California burger. Both were great burgers but our favorite was the PBB & J! Service was fine- but we weren't acknowledged at our seats for 5 or more minutes which wasn't very welcoming. That's my only complaint. They take call ahead seating which is nice! Big booths, lots of TVs, huge beer selection.

Great place! Stopped in for dinner with my hubby and kiddos. Fun atmosphere and family friendly. Food was fantastic and the service was good and fast (nice for those hungry kids:) I highly recommend the cheese curds on the app menu. So good! I had the Hawaiian burger and fries and was super impressed. Burger was cooked perfectly and everything on it tasted fantastic together.

The exterior of The Pint Room is gorgeous. The inside is fresh, clean and modern. We experienced a few issues on our first visit today. However, Shelly the manager, was EXTREMELY professional and non-combative. I explained our situation and she used it as constructive criticism. Above and beyond, Shelly welcomed us for a return visit. I am hoping then I am able to give The Pint Room 4-5 stars.

I devoured the PBB&J burger. I love to try burgers everywhere I go. In all my travels in the last 20 years all over the world. The PBB&J burger is number one in my book and my taste buds. A little intimidating to order because you are like wait a minute... Peanut Butter Bacon and Jelly on a BURGER? Yep and it was phenomenal. It also comes with fresh slices of strawberry on it. I will be back every time I am in Indy.

The Pint Room has a lot going for it - the space is beautiful, the beer selection is great and the location cannot be beat. The service was fine but not memorable. Unfortunately, the food misses the mark. We tried the short rib sandwich (highly touted by Indy Magazine) and the nacho burger. The short rib sandwich makes me question the authority of the Indy magazine. All food was bland - not bad, but very bland. I expected the nacho burger to be full of flavor because it has guacamole, nacho cheese, jalapeños and more. I ordered the burger medium and it was medium well. The only thing that could save either sandwich was salt, pepper and side sauces. I didn't finish my meal and for a clean plate club member, that's a statement. How a short rib sandwich with Asian slaw can be flavorless is beyond me. All of that considered, I would have gone back for a second try. However, they dug their grave and closed the casket when they charged me $1.00 for two sides of ranch and $0.25 for a side of BBQ. I just paid $12 for a burger that was flavorless. The ranch is the least you could have done Pint Room.

The beer selection is amazing and the servers know their beer so if you have a tough time deciding, they can help you out. I have been here twice and both times I ordered the peanut butter and jelly burger. When I go again I will order it a third time. It is just that good. It is the perfect combination of sweet and salty. They offer sweet potato fries which have a light coating of sugar on them. They are just ok. I will probably try a different side next time. The only reason this place didn't get five stars is that the decor is pretty meh. They have a lot of room for improvement. However when looking at just the food and drinks, this place is a must go!!

Started with the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer...absolutely amazing! Shrimp and bacon were both cooked perfectly. I had the California burger, it was great and actually cooked as I wanted medium rare. The beers on tap were great, and a huge selection. The atmosphere was great also.

Love going here on a week night with friends or enjoying a meal on the weekends . Their food is pretty good, but The beer always wins. My favorite thing to do is order the sample beers to try .

Tons of beer on tap. So many it can be hard to choose from. The service is mediocre and the prices are high. But if you want a rare craft beer, this is your best bet in Carmel.

Decided to cross the street and check out The Pint Room. Was not disappointed. A great selection of brews including microbrews from all over. I think I chose a double stout - dragon's milk and a burger. Everything was excellent, including the service. They weren't upset when I had to take a call from a client who had an emergency and had to step outside for a few minutes. Definitely will be back when I am heading to downtown Carmel.

I have only been here for one visit since I don't make it up to this area of town often, but this will certainly be high on my list of places to go when I am in the area. My visit came on a Friday night, and it was packed. Parking was made very easy in the free parking garage just go north on 1st Ave from Main St. (the intersection of Pint Room), and you will see the garage on your left immediately. There was a hostess that said she could seat us in the dining area of the place, or we could have a look around the open-seating bar area. We got really lucky and grabbed a table as another group was leaving, but trying to get a table in the bar area on a Friday night looked like a game of chance, as it was busy the entire time. There wasn't really a lot of standing room, so if you don't get a seat you might just want to put your name on the list for a table in the dining area. I wasn't there to get food, which is good because it took me long enough just to decide on a drink from their enormous beer list. They have it broken down into categories of beers, and they cover the majority of the spectrum. The majority of their beers are on the safe side of things, but there are certainly some adventurous options on the list as well. Don't quote me on this, but I am fairly certain that the beer list includes the name of the beer, the price, what state it is from, and the ABV %. It'd be nice to have an IBU rating, but even I will admit that I think that might be pretty ambitious for a list that long. I love that the price of every beer is listed by it. I'm amazed at how many places just have long beer lists without ever showing a price until you get your bill. Our waitress did a great job relative to how busy it was. The guy who came over to clean our table after the last group left was not so much in that category. We got beers filled quickly and our waters stayed full the whole night. Our server even knew a decent amount about the beers they served and she was able to remind someone at our table what they had they last time they were there by just the description alone. One thing that is really frustrating at a place like this is when you finally make a decision on the one beer you want the most, and then they server goes to get it only to come back and say they are out and need a second choice. I know with a place that likes to rotate taps and gets in limited quantities of some beers that it happens, but the waitress didn't even take the time to cross it off of the beer list on our menus so the next person who sees that option and orders it will also be faced with coming up with a second option with no time to think. It was a little loud in here just due to the number of people, but it wasn't so bad that you couldn't have an easy conversation with the people at your table. The majority of the people here were young professionals, and the crowd was that of people who wanted to go out and get some drinks and dinner to catch up with friends, rather than to just go out drinking and getting wild for a night. There are quite a few TVs in the bar area, so all of the games you could want to watch will likely be viewable here, although it is much more of an upscale bar than a sports pub. As I said before, I wasn't here for food but everything I saw at surrounding tables looked delicious and I would like to give the food a try sometime, which I will likely be back to do in the summer when longer bike rides take me up to the Carmel area and I need a pit stop along the way.

30+ minute Ãœber ride from downtown but worth every minute. Great food, awesome tap list and great service. The tap list? Not just the usual. You will not be disappointed!

Only 3 ambers on the menu. No tastings so I ordered a 4 oz north peak humongous and hated it. One sip and I have to pay $1.75. What if I hate the next one? I asked our self described "expert" waiter about a few others but he had no idea what they were like. So now I'm choosing in the dark and having to pay for it. Burgers are pretty good but we won't come back. The manager described it as their concept to charge for samples. I just don't get it. They specialize in beers that not many will have tried and then charge you if you don't like them. Even if they limit samples or if I try three to find something I like they will still make money off of me. And get me as a return customer. Its not like beer has a 3% margin. And for the owners: the conversation at work this morning was how much your concept sucked. Good luck.

Do you like beer? Ya.. Me too! That's why I gave this bar 5 stars. The food comes second to the beer. But the beer selection is great. Best in Carmel by far.

Great new place in downtown carmel. Huge beer selection and full bar. Half restaurant half bar. Walk in at the corner of building into the restaurant. Go past hostess station into the bar. Large J-shaped bar with large padded stools. No backs. Granite bar top with no rail. Box footrest if I recall correctly. Bar back mostly include taps but there are a couple of large hdtvs above the taps. Opposite the bar are several high tables with half booth half stool seating. Several more hdtvs above these seats. Couple other social seating area. Food is above average and goes a little farther than typical bar food. Easy parking on side and in rear of building. As always, watch out for carmel cops.

Sad that a restaurant called the Pint Room doesn't support it's product. Went to dinner with a friend (for my birthday) and she ordered a beer she did not care for. The manager would not take it off the bill. They said she should have ordered a sample for $1.75. I don't think I have ever been to a place that specializes in beers that they did not offer free samples. On a positive note my sandwich (The Chicken Club) was good. Fries were great. Lots of beer selections. Too bad since I will not be going back.

This place is one of our favorites! If you are in the mood for a gourmet burger, this is the spot. I have tried almost all of them and have not found one I don't like. The Asiago burger is my favorite. The flavors are bold and the ingredients are always fresh. A FAVORITE PLACE FOR US!

Good food, but completely overpriced. Also cannot order burgers medium-rare or medium-well as the chef will only do them rare, medium or well. This irked me if I am paying $15 for a burger. Many better options in the area that have better food at a more reasonable price.

Ok so this is my favorite place to have a great beer and excellent food! Ben at the bar is quite a trip and makes the experience fun! The PBB&J burger is incredible!! The hangover is also AMAZING! Honestly, I can't think of a single thing that is wrong with this place other than it needs to be bigger so we don't have to wait next time. Also, if they had some outdoor seating I would get it six stars! Best bar in Carmel IMO

The bison burger and sweet potato fries is so amazing, I recommend it to everyone! I am not much of a beer drinker, but my beer snob friends love this place for the large selection they have.

  • Cliff H.

This place is going downhill. They recently changed their menu to remove the flatbreads. Most of the other food on the menu just doesn't come out right. The chefs only seem to know how to cook a burger. The server was great and is maybe the only reason well try this place again.

    (2)
  • Rodney H.

They have over 100 beer selections...on tap! I had a burger and fries so you can't go wrong there. There are televisions everywhere and the bar seating looks like it is bench seating with no individual chairs. The booths are huge and can probably seat 6 comfortably, possibly more depending on their size. I came here on a date and I would definitely consider coming here again with the fellas. I also strongly recommend the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter if you like porters.

Loved loved this place!! Over 120 beers in tap and instead of ordering one you can get sample sizes of as many as you want! (But be responsible kids!). The atmosphere is really cool and fits in perfectly with the arts district in Carmel. They were really busy so service was slow but the place was still a knockout. I had The Irish sandwich and it was heavenly in my mouth!

Went for dinner and everyone enjoyed their meals. Two burgers(P-B-B & J and Black & Bleu), one salad (can't remember) and one sandwich (Portabella stack). 124 different beers on tap so craft beer fans will love the selection which is always changing. Lots of FREE parking in the garage immediately North on 1st Avenue.

  • Kevin H.

Absolutely awesome beer selection, including plenty of local and top national craft brews. Solid gastropub menu. And if you ever wondered why there aren't any 25-35 year olds in Carmel, it's because you didn't look in The Pint Room. There they are. The one big disappointment: no al fresco option, so will have to dine & drink elsewhere in prime Monon and IPA weather.

This is a review of my second visit to the Pint Room. I should say a second visit prompted by a first visit that saw potential. The space at the Pint Room hits it. Cozy without being cramped and lots of light comes in on a nice day so as not to feel like you're missing out on nice weather while you enjoy a beer inside. Unfortunately, the back of the house needs some help. I had a burger both times and both times cooked to order with everything I wanted or didn't want, but somehow put through the deflavorizer. One would think that with two other burger places within eyeshot of the Pint Room, that they would try a little harder. The tap list is extensive, however, having once been a craft beer novice, I think that the first three letters that the plebe learns are I-P-A. The list is lopsided with IPA's and with 100 plus on tap, the list could be made a little more diverse. I see by several reviews that the Pint Room charges for tasting samples. I've gotta say that my beer bar/brew pub odometer has turned over many times and this charging practice is unheard of. I've found that people who want to sample a lot of beer drink a lot of beer and therefore BUY a lot of beer. Look, if there's a system to be gamed, somebody is going to game it, but don't punish the rest of us! Not to be all poopy, the service was super attentive, polite, everything it's supposed to be, hence showing potential for a third visit. Hopefully on that third visit, a rethinking of the samplings and a kick in the ass in the kitchen!

Soooooooo mmmaaaannnyyyyy bbbeeeerrrrsss! Yay! So many Indiana brews too. As soon as I heard about The Pint Room, I knew I had to try it. I work in Carmel, and their Arts and Design District really needed a place with a great beer selection. This place fit the bill nicely. The place was busy, but the staff took care of us well enough. I enjoyed the space itself, very roomy, not too loud (it was busy too) with plenty of seating. I found the beer menu to be well laid out and I had no problem reviewing all the beers on tap. The staff I dealt with was knowledgeable of the beers and helpful in selecting. I wanted to try a sampler of beers, but found they had different pricing for each beer sample. The staff gave us a decent idea how it broke down, but I would have loved a sample price list. Many of the beer samples would have been several dollars and it was difficult to figure out exactly what I was spending. If you aren't on a budget, no big deal, but I have little $$ at the moment, so it definitely made a difference. I have only heard mixed reviews about the food. I refer you to the other reviews for that, as I haven't eaten there yet. Mostly good word though.

Awesome food, lots of beer choices, good prices, great service. I ordered the PBB&J burgers (peanut butter, strawberry jam, strawberries, bacon, Monterrey jack cheese). It was a fantastic burger. I also had the sweet potato fries, which were lightly covered in cinnamon sugar. The highlight of the meal was the sweet sriracha dipping sauce, though. It was perfect with the sweet potato fries. I ended up asking for more dipping sauce because it was that good. Overall a great addition to Main Street - will definitely be returning.

I've been to the Pint Room on three occasions since it's opened. All in all, a good experience. The food is above average and the portions are generous. If it's beer you like, there is an absurd variety of beers to choose from. The chicken wings are worth mentioning just because you get whole wings and they are different from what you'd see in the neighboring pubs. The service was hit and miss. On two of our visits, very good, and once sluggish. Some other items that prevented me from giving a higher rating: Our server was unwilling to make a substitution for the fries that came with my entree. She said I could buy a side of whatever I wanted. I even asked if I could just sub the regular fries for sweet potato fries (which they offer) and she said "no." The menu gets a little expensive when you have to pay for stuff you don't eat. Other reviewers mentioned the noise. Yes, the place is very loud- louder than other pubs in the area. Maybe it's the acoustics of the room or they way they've managed to cram a lot of seats into a small-ish space, but it's loud around the dinner hour. Ultimately, if you like beer, pub food, and sports bars, you'll like The Pint Room. There's room for improvement, but it delivers on the basics.

124 Beer taps? Check. Great bar food options? Check. A kitchen able to quickly prepare good to order? Check. A staff knowledgable on the beers they carry? Triple Check! The Pint Room is such a wonderful addition to Carmel's Main Street. I am quite the regular and I've waited quite a while to post a review since, even now, they are still fairly new. I can sincerely say that I have never left here unsatisfied. Actually, quite a bit more than satisfied. I will warn you that while they can accommodate some mixed drinks, I wouldn't expect a prohibition style cocktail here- beer is there thing. But they have every kind of beer under the sun, so even if you don't think you like beer, let them suggest a nice "intro beer". I can't say enough about The Pint Room, but I think I've made my point.

Pumpkin beers are in. The Lexington and ship yard are pretty tasty. The food is also worth a try while drinking. The sweet potato fries, sauce, and portabella stack was delicious, and burgers were moist filling.

I made a second visit to The Pint Room. The first visit I tried several different beers in the small glasses, 4.5 ounces. The price on these varies depending on the alcohol content. I enjoy sampling beer this way. My second visit we ordered food and a "pint". The problem with the Pint Room is they serve some beers in a 13 ounce glass. When I questioned the bartender she told me the beers with 8% alcohol or higher were served in the "snifter". I first ordered Scarlet Lane Dorian 5.1 ABV, and second beer was their saison, Silas, 5.5 ABV. Both of these were served in the 13 ounce glass and when the pour settled it was probably closer to 11 ounces. One was $6 and the other $5. We ordered the Triple burger and Topless salad. The food was very good. If you're going to the Pint Room for food, great! If you want a pint of beer, good luck.

I normally don't edit my reviews, but this is one of those times outstanding customer service must be recognized. It moved me from 4 to 5 stars.. My daughter loves Crème brûlée, and every so often they have this (as their daily singular dessert). It doesn't come up often, and when it did, I was pleaded with to get it. I called ahead for take-out and was surprised / disappointed when I was told they in fact did not have any. Not only did (withholding names) did they refund my take-out, but they offered to take my name and would text me when they had it again. The next day, I texted back to see if they had any - and she actually had them hold some specially for me and my daughter. We had a burger (which are always perfect), humus (amazing), and I tried the chili (very good). The dessert was fantastic and we are so appreciative - they went above and beyond...great food and great service! I was waiting a few weeks to write up my review. We have gone a few times since they opened and felt that they needed a little time to work out the kinks. The burgers are awesome. plain and simple..great quality meat - served perfectly. Our first visit was a little rocky reguarding the wait staff..but on return visits it does seem to be getting better. The fries are a little heavy with salt and parmesan cheese - but they do taste fresh and not frozen. They have a lot of great sounding items - but I don't think I can pass up the burger! We did try the chicken wings. I would pass - I love the buffalo sauce, but the wings are 'real'...basically a wing and drumstick still attached and very large. If you like beer - they have a billion choices. On opening night, they had not quite had the full selection, but I would assume by now they do. One other thing to note, they only have one dessert which changes. Unfortunately, this was also not available the first night. Given the good quality of their food, I would bet their dessert is good - I just wish they had a few options. I little on the pricey side for a burger - but well worth it.

Went here to watch a football game with friends. It was relaxing and a nice atmosphere. When I initially ordered one of their many beers, I asked for a small sample to make sure I'd like it. I enjoyed the sample so continued to drink it and ordered a few more. I also ordered the wings which came out looking like they just put down the chicken and delivered it to our table. It didn't look good, so I sent it back. When I got the bill, it had a charge for my "sample" and for the wings which I didn't even touch. The manager refunded the wings but didn't do anything for the "sample", other than explain that people take advantage of free samples. If you carry over 100 local beers, I would expect the beer I'm getting ready to order should have a free sample before I commit to it. They'd get a higher rating if they fixed their policy.

The calamari was a little soggy not your traditional crunchy fried style. The beer was awesome 100 beers on tap that's hard to beat and I was allowed to sample as I pleased. I tried the California burger it was very well done very tasty.

We visited this restaurant for the first time and enjoyed it thoroughly. My wife had Kobe Beef sliders that were juicy & delicious. The buns were brioche (or some bakery fresh style) and the arugula accented it well. My daughter had Wings w/ honey mustard sauce & a root beer float. She gave both a thumbs up and took a couple wings home to enjoy later. I had a Hangover burger that I thought was good, but a little greasy. The bacon & egg were excellent, though. The kettle chips were crunchy and not greasy. Nicely done. The beer selection is awesome. I had a Shadow Boxer Oatmeal Stout that was delicious. It didn't hurt that parking in the underground structure beneath the restaurant was free & readily available. Including EV charging we were able to use. Kudos!

Went on a Saturday late afternoon. The beer list was great, but the service was slow and the food was subpar. I ordered a black and bleu burger--slightly overpriced and they overcooked it. The handcut fries and flatbreads were delicious though. Hopefully the slow service is just a result of a new restaurant getting off the ground.

This place could be really great. They have over 100 brews on tap. We were visiting the area and wanted to try some local beers. We had ask about several to our waitress who only pointed out the alcohol content and then said she never tried most of them. When asked to sample a few we were told that we could only pay for a 4 oz. sample for $1.75 but she would ask the manager. She then came back and said no we could not sample without paying. I have been to many tap rooms across America and never charged to taste, my advise to management is to change this policy. Our party also ordered food, that was good but not great.

This may be my new favorite eatery in Carmel. My husband and son both had burgers which according to my husband was the best burger he has ever had. I am vegan. I ordered the bean burger without cheese. Thankfully, the waitress asked if I was vegan, and informed me the bean burger contained cheese. My other option was a mushroom sandwich, but the garnish didn't seem as yummy, so I asked the waitress if I could switch out the bean burger for the marinated mushroom. She loved the idea. And the sandwich was FANTASTIC. She also was quite knowledgable about the different beer on tap. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Great food. The Kobe sliders were amazing. Unfortunately, the bar decided to clean the beer lines in the middle of the lunch crowd so they were unable to pour most of the beers our group requested. Will try again in case this was just a one time issue.

  • Anthony S.

The burgers and fries were amazing. The hostess was more interested in talking to her friend that was standing at the reception desk and on her phone when I showed up. She would even make eye contact with me but keep talking. I tried to call in an order before I went but no one answered the phone. Once the order was placed it came quickly, and the other staff were very friendly.

I dined here with a group of 8 people. We sat in a booth and were a bit squished, but they did not have a larger table available. It's a fun atmosphere to go with a group of friends! The beer selection was large and the waitress was very knowledgable about the beers. She gave me great recommendations. Everyone was pleased with their selection. I chose the Asiago burger. I never wanted it to end! It was juicy and the sauce was like crack. The French fries were also great and had a yummy Parmesan and spice topping. Loved this meal and left extremely full. I will definitely be coming back!

Love the beer assortment and the bartenders are SOOOO knowledgeable about the choices. Calamari is delicious but a little pricey for the portion size. Food is good. Can be a long wait but the 115 beers on tap rotate and make it great fun for sampling.

I go to the Pint Room often (3-4 times/month). The service in the bar is consistently great. The dining room service has been hit-or-miss. Mostly miss. The food is always tasty, if something is off, management gets it handled, and the beer selection is AMAZING! I recommend the Pint Room over Scotty's, Muldoon's, and/or Bub's any day!

You can always find a great beer here, the hard part is choosing which great beer to order. As awesome as the beer is, it is matched by the near perfection of the Irish sandwich. If you have not tried the Irish, correct that as soon as possible. The french fries are equally superb.

I had been hearing great things about this place. It did not disappoint! If you are a beer drinker and like trying new beers, both local and from around the world, this is the place for you. I had the hangover burger also which was cooked perfectly and tasted great! I also tried the portobello mushroom sandwich which was a very interesting dish and was awesome. I am excited to visit this place often.

Great selection of beers. Nice atmosphere although lights are a little too bright. I like it that some fine young men bought drinks for my wife and me just because it was our anniversary the day before.

Most definitely the largest selection of craft beer you will find in Carmel. I typically have luck finding the notoriously rare "Gumball Head" here. My only complaint is the service is average and the beer is over priced. I understand it is craft, but mostly $7 pints is too much for me to give them 5 stars.

The service and beer selection were in my top 5 favorites of all time. The staff were very attentive and helpful. They helped one another. The food was great from the Kobe sliders to the crab-cake. When in town, this is my favorite place to go.

I was impressed with the beer selection, but the food put it over the top. If you're a meat eater, I can recommend the bison burger. It was delicious! And they will cook it medium rare. The apple chutney is a great touch on the burger.

The Pint Room Carmel is the place to go for burgers. Don't be afraid to try the PBB&J burger either! Best on the menu. And with 125 or so beers on tap, what do you have to lose?

  • Paul D.

I was in on a Wednesday evening during a pacers playoff game, it was packed, loud and fun. Ate dinner at the bar, beer selection is overwhelming, but I guess that is the purpose! Food was awesome, hangover burger and fresh cut fries, fries are not something dumped out of a bag into a deep fryer like most joints of this nature. The wings are good but hard to eat, they are literally the entire chicken wing, honey bourbon sauce was great! I'll be back soon.

Solid. Will return. Good sandwich and side. Other things on menu sound intriguing. Had the crab melt which I liked. Great beer selection. Fair pricing. Service a bit slow but attentive. As much a bar as a restaurant - unique layout but seems to function okay. Wander about and you will understand. Will return. It is a beer place rather than wine but had a decent if limited wine list. Limited means short list. Menu draws my interest. Several burgers sounded very good. Other people's food looked good. Give it a shot.

The hangover burger was excellent. It had a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg on top. Yummm! The waitress was friendly, helpful and prompt. They have a lot of beers. The menu is a bit overwhelming. It would be helpful to have an ABV and IBU listed for each beer. The only reason I did not give 4 stars is that the place noisy. It was a relief to get back outside.

OK- this place is awesome (I just wish it was around when I lived on Main Street!) Been here for both lunch and dinner (menu's the same each time) and the only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 is the service (and the fact that there was a 45 minute wait one night with only half the tables full). But the food totally makes up for it. LOVE the Irish sandwich with corned beef and coleslaw. So delicious and not greasy. Great fries too. My husband has had the short rib sandwich (which he gives an A+ rating) and the BBQ Burger (which he said was just OK). I love that you can get the small glasses of beer (I think 4 oz). Prices range from $1.50 to 2 I believe. This way you can try a variety of the 100+ beers on tap. This is definitely one of my new go to places!

I had the veggie burger and sweet potato fries with a blueberry beer. Amazing. My fiance had a burger and fries and one of the lagers. We both loved the food. We were impressed by the prices (very reasonable). The restaurant is super cute and the booths are high making it pretty quiet on the side opposite the bar. Great service! We will be going here a lot!

I was expecting greatness and got average. It was an expensive night for average. I would have given them 3 stars for food, 4.5 for beer and 1 for service so that's how I came up with two stars. Food. I ordered the Shitaki and Gouda burger with onion straws. It was lacking in mositness and flavor but it was not awful. What saved this meal were the sweet potato fries. They were killer. What killed it was the fact that the order was wrong and I got the wrong fries. The redemption was I tried the regular fries and they were also amazing. Beer. I chose to do the 1.75 5 ounce samplers versus the larger beers seeing as I was not sure what I would like. First sample was the raspberry cider. Very sweet, nice good flavor. Not something I could drink more than a 5 ounce sampler but would do again. I also had a Pilsner, the name slips me, it was VERY good. I am a beer wimp and I really enjoyed the flavor. Service. YIKES. Terrible, awful bad. Appetizers never came. Beers came sporadically. Order was wrong and server threw the kitchen under the bus. I think the kitchen was not the person taking the order.... Not to mention she had an excuse for everything instead of taking the blame. It was a Sunday so it was not even crowded. Will I go back...for the addicting sweet potato fries and beer, sure.

I want to really like this place, but the service needs to improve. The wait staff is slow and not knowledgable about beers. I have been there 3 times and 2 out of 3 times the waitresses said they didn't like beer. So, it's hard to get input about beer when the waitress is not informed. Plus, I had to order 5 different times because the beers I kept picking off the daily menu were empty. The appetizers are definitely better than the meals.

Visited again due to husband's love of the pb&j burger. Prices now on beer menu (woohoo!). Had the beers the three of us ordered on first try. Other friend got wings and they looked and tasted great. I got the peanut chicken sandwich and it had almost no flavor and was disappointing. Half of my side of fries were tiny (centimeter long) pieces of fry. I'm guessing I got the bottom of the barrel (so the speak). Wished I would have tried the 5 alarm cheeseburger. I'd say we'll be back to try beers from time to time but probably not eat.

Food was fantastic and the beer selection was stellar. Lunch service was a little slow considering the place was empty, but it was well worth the wait.

Visited the Pint Room once again with a friend. The service was much better and the food was spot on. One critique though. If there are multiple servers working with you, let the table know. We were greeted by two bartenders/servers at a cocktail table. Both initiated the greet as they would be taking care of us. They both did a great job but it seemed at first that they were taking each other's station until we figured it out. Kudos to Kelly (I believe that's her name). She was fantastic with only being a few days new. Her smile and want to make people happy is contagious. Maybe some of the other bartenders should follow her lead. We also had another female blonde waiting on us and she did a great job as well. Also, I told Kelly that I posted a negative review on Yelp after we finished eating and she said "you were the one that the management team yelled at us for". Although I doubt it was yelling, I appreciate it that the management read it, understood it and reacted to it. It shows that they are in tune to the guests concerns and perspectives. Way to go!

Great beer selection. Also nice that you can get any beer in a 4.5oz pour so you don't have to commit to a whole pint. The food portions are smaller than most but the people at my table enjoyed what they had. Service is pretty slow.

Great beer selection and great service. The food was very good and I think the atmosphere is the best around.

I love that they have a bajillion beers on tap. I don't love that there are no descriptions of them anywhere, so if you want to try something new, you're basically left just ordering based on the cleverness of the beer's name. You can get small pours for $1-$3 each (our server gave us no more detail than that about the matter). We were in a group of 6, and we each ordered 2-3 of these "samples". The server came back with them, seemingly having no idea which was which, and who got what - and the worst part is, she totally didn't care. So, that was a fruitless exercise is trying to find a new beer I liked, since I had no idea what I was even drinking. Even after a different server brought my friend his pint, she called it "Sun King Grapefruit Juice". I certainly don't expect everyone working here to be beer experts, but gee, a little knowledge would be helpful. I detected a general "I don't care what you want or whether or not you're happy" attitude from most of the servers. I'm not sure I can come back here, even though I did enjoy the variety, if nothing else.

Just stopped in for my first time here with one of my buddies. Obviously with a name like the pint room, there's an extensive beer list, which can be overwhelming if you're not sure what you're feeling. We sat at the bar and service was ok, nothing special, but it was a pretty busy time. We got our first beers and ordered the bottle caps (fried pickles) and the cheese curds. Both were outstanding. I'm a fried pickle connoisseur, and I can honestly say these were the best I've had. The breading was perfect and the dipping sauce was amazing. The cheese curds were pretty good, but I'd go for the fried pickles. After ordering our second beer, our food came. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich, which ws really good. The chicken itself was decent with a nice breading and the perfect amount of buffalo sauce that wasn't too spicy but left an impact. What set this sandwich apart was the bun and toppings. The brioche bun was absolutely perfect and the toppings gave the sandwich a gourmet feel, which you don't really get with bar food. I definitely recommend this place for an afternoon work drink or a place to grab a beer and some food.

Good beer and food! We enjoyed our dinner. The food is overpriced a bit but pretty tasty. The calamari was really great! We went on a Sunday night for the late night football game. We were very surprised to learn that they close at 10. We were okay with it until they turned on all the lights at once and cut the music at 9:45. Definitely felt like we were being run out. The wait staff would not stop talking about last call and it just seemed like our business there was very unappreciated. Maybe just a part of being corporate but I think they could improve on that. May out may not go back......

Heard about this place from someone who lives out of town. Not sure how I feel about that. Maybe I just need to hibernate less. At any rate: I loved the pint room. Went here for a birthday dinner, kinda late on a Friday night. We waited about 10 minutes and were seated on the 'family?' side. The place was NOISY. Bar totally packed. We were stoked to try out the PBB&J and also ended up getting the BBQ short rib sandwich. Both were really yummy. The bottle caps (pickle chips) were great. Thick breading, but actually needed a little salt. When does that ever happen with pickle chips? The biggest win for the evening was Lagunitas on tap. Now that they are open in Chicago, this may become even less of a treat, as time goes on. If I get to drink Lagunitas, I will show up. Scarlet Lane Dorian Stout was impressive, their saison was just ok. The waitress was friendly and remotely knowledgeable about beer and what was available/comparable, so that was a plus too.

First visit. Nice location near Monon. Parking looked like it may be an issue for autos. Food: burgers for both of us, very good but held back by very bland bun. 5 alarm will light you up. Fries: unlike pic, the longest on our plate was 3 inches, most were an inch. Asked for redo and server brought us a new basket. Same issue. For "hand cut" label, these need work and dont stack up to 20 Tap, Brugge, etc. Crunchy bland... Beer: LOTS of options. Wow. Now comes the stupid part. NO TASTING. Hmmm, what would attract somebody to a place with 125 beers? Trying something new perhaps? Instead, you have to purchase a 4 oz pour. Seriously? Give me a 1 oz taste so I can decide if I like it our not. I don't want a 4 oz pour of something that doesn't match my palate. 2 sips, and I can tell if I want a pint or not. And I don't want to pay to experiment. So let's go with free 1 - 2 oz tasters like real craft beer places do, and let us explore the wonderful beer list. Put a limit on number if your worried about folks abusing this... real beer fans won't.

Fantastic beer selection and a creative and eclectic burger menu. However, for dinner we were seated next to the open kitchen, where we were treated to the kitchen staff's obnoxiously loud thrash metal playlist during our meal. Would go back to hang at the bar, but would not consider the dining room as long as they allow that to continue.

One of my favorite new places. Great beer selection and superb "bar food." This place has a full bar, a ton of bar top seats surrounded by booth and high top table seating. Most of the available beers are written on one of the walls in chalk. Unfortunately, like most beer houses, they don't always have every beer available that is on their menu, but that's to be expected in a place that gets as busy as this one. When there, I tried the crab cakes and wings, along with several beers. The food portions were great. The crab cakes were just crispy enough on the outside and juicy on the inside with a great flavor! And the wings... When I first saw them I was completely surprised, but they were delicious! Don't expect the traditional drums and flats one might get at most places, they toss whole chicken wings in sauce! A surprising, but terrific and unique way to serve them. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is the service. Very friendly, but somewhat slow. Working in the industry myself, I completely understand, so not a big deal to me. I will be back!

My husband, 8 y.o. and I really enjoyed this new restaurant, bar, kid-friendly place today. Great burgers and fantastic craft brew selection. Beautiful interior and servers WITH personalities. I really enjoyed the small "samples" to taste ones I am not familiar with. I live in Carmel and I will spread the word!
