Jersey Mike’s Subs

I got the Italian and it was good. They make them fresh and fast. I am still super sad Lenny's is gone and it will never replace my love for them, but this is a good alternative. Jersey Mikes used to be my favorite and then they all went down hill and I stopped going. But I am glad they are making a come back with new locations. You can tell this location gets busy, but the staff was good under pressure. They were making food for people in line and doing phone orders and doing it all really well.
Had an unusual craving for BEEF so decided to give Jersey Mike's a try. I hemmed and hawed over the options and finally decided on a Philly beef (dah!). The owner looked at me with a smile and said, "You won't be disappointed." And indeed I was not! In fact, I liked it so much that I was craving another within two days, and I don't even like sandwiches! The second time I had The Big Kahuma -- grilled onions and peppers plus mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese -- oh yeah. What time is it? Just writing this is making me hungry... Very nice staff at this location!
I've been to the 116th street location twice had the roast beef and then the Italian, best subs ever, fresh bread and real meat sliced right in front of you. Once you try these subs you won't go back to the other guys. Friendly staff, clean store.

Great good and the new location is very comfortable. I'm a fan of the pick two with a just a spud and a soup. Also don't miss out on their fresh brewed lemonade and iced tea.
We went for free tea day and it was busy, but not too busy. The line went quickly and everyone was working hard to get everyone their food and also kept our teas full. They have the best tea. I get half regular and half sweet and it's perfect. I pretty much always get the orange cranberry club with no mayo. Sometimes I forget to say no mayo. I don't hate it, but just strong prefer to not have it on my food. It did come with it, but they were quick to get me a new one. I love the cranberry sauce on my sandwich. Sometimes I get a salad, but when getting a sandwich it is always my first choice. Desserts here are good too. I love the brownies and today we got the chocolate spoon cake which was just wow. It was amazing. It was super rich and very good. This location does a great job when it's packed at lunch and I love we can get in and out and back to work.
Yum! This was my first visit, but I can see myself coming here again, maybe even often. They have very good baked potatoes loaded with sour cream, cheese, chives and bacon. The salad was good, too. I really like that they have a pickle bar in the restaurant!

Yo Joy Frozen Yogurt

Carmel, 46032
Reviews:
This little frozen yogurt shop is really cute. I love the very clean, trendy, white and terra green décor. Frozen yogurt or ice cream shops should always look this cute! You have your choice of several self-serve frozen yogurt flavors, a bunch of different toppings and warm syrup toppings like caramel, chocolate & white chocolate. I was really excited that there were several frozen yogurt choices that have no sugar added. Everything is weighed so you can get as much or as little as you want. Yo Joy also has a rewards points program and don't worry, you don't have to carry another membership card or have anything forms to fill out. You just sign up w/your phone number & just punch in your phone number each time you visit. When you reach 60 points you'll get $5 off a purchase. From our first visit we received 9 points and then an additional 3 points when we registered our email. And the other great thing is that Yo Joy has random specials that they will text/email to you. The day we went it was buy 1 get 1 free. Check it out! You won't be disappointed! Oh, and try the mochi pieces. Mochi & frozen yogurt are so tasty together. :D
Love this place. They always have a good variety of flavors and you can taste anything you want. A little pricey but in the range of similar places
Great place with great frozen yogurt. Service is fantastic. Too many flavors to choose from with a lot of fat free/sugar free items.

Yats

Reviews:
This place is the bomb. Made fresh everyday, Yats has unbelievable food. Get there early because I've heard once one of the items is gone, it's done for the day. My favorite is the Mock Shoe but you really can't go wrong with any of the mains. A half and half plate is a great way to try a few things. (Samples are also free) And don't even get me started on the bread they serve. Amazing!! Love the food, staff and location.
Never fails to please the craving for comfort creole food. Half drunken chicken (Rosemary heaven) and half spinach mushroom - delicious with just enough heat.
As a former resident of New Orleans, I was supremely stoked - and surprised - when Yats opened in Indy. Doubled down on that when the Carmel location opened, in addition to the original location, near my work! Six years after moving out of the area, I found myself back in Indy/Carmel for the weekend. On my Yelp app looking for locally owned eats for dinner, I saw Yats! The lightbulb when off! Of course! YATS! How could I have forgotten? The best Cajun food outside of New Orleans. We were in the car within one minute. Yats is a locally owned fast casual option where you order from the daily offerings. The charm of the chalk board is part of the vibe here. Create your plate and take a seat; your food will be delivered. You can taste a sample! On this outing, I had a child in tow for her first time at Yats. I told the guy behind the counter that junior does not like spicy food - well seasoned yes, but not hot. He pleasantly served up a sample with a smile. And he even allowed the lil lady a second sample when I thought she should compare and not just take the very first thing. As a result, she ended up with a half and half of Chili Cheese Etoufee with Crawfish AND Red Beans with Sausage. YATS IS kid friendly if you have kids that behave in a quieter environment. This is a place where you hear people's conversations and they hear yours, so crabby or loud kids would not be advisable for dine in. Carry out, yes. I always get Chicken Creole. Still as saucily delicious in 2015 as it was years ago. It's a tomato based mild winner that I can never turn down! The bread is as crunchy with the weird orange butter as it ever was. Not life changing but worth getting a double order of. I'd like to thank the gentleman working last Saturday night for getting us on the extra bread, and being very welcoming to someone new to this type of cooking. For $10 per person (with a beverage) you'll almost teleport to the Crescent City herself! Take your kids, take your coworkers, take anyone you can whether they have had this cuisine before or not. Yats service aims to please. Food made with love. Reasonable prices. Plentiful portions. Plenty of parking. Handicap accessible! Need one of ya'll up in my city Yats!

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream

2466 E 146th St
Carmel, 46033
Reviews:
Handles is always amazing! You can't go wrong with any of their ice cream or frozen yogurts. There are many choices of flavors that's it's almost hard to decide what to get! I really like the Chocolate raspberry truffle! It is to die for, so rich and just the perfect amount of raspberry preserves. It does seem to melt a lot faster than the other kinds, so be prepared to eat it fast! I also really like their birthday cake which has frosting it in! It's super colorful too, which is fun! I have had many other flavors, but these 2 are my favorites. If it's not too busy you can sample a few, but if lines are long which they usually are on weekends I try to just hurry and get my order in quickly. They have a small seating area which I wish was bigger, but we usually end up with a bench or sit in our car. Everyone who works there is always super nice and helpful. When my in-laws come up from their tiny town in southern Indiana they always want to go get ice cream even in the middle of winter so good thing they are open year round! The banana splits are HUGE! I love you can get any 3 flavors of ice cream. You can get a 4 scoop sampler if you want to try more than one kind. Handles is a year round favorite!
Yum! I'm a big fan of ice cream that's kind of gummy in texture (not sure if that's the right word; "gummy" sounds kind of gross, but I mean it in a delicious way), and Handel's has it. This time, we tried the peanut parfait (the fudge was nice and warm!), the cotton candy (surprisingly good) and the maple walnut (my favorite of the three). I would get any of those again. What makes this location neat is that you order from outside through a window, then you can sit at one of their tables on the side of the building and eat.
This ice cream is delicious! Perfectly creamy and handmade! I got the Carmel Pretzel Crunch and I highly recommend it! Sometimes there can be a long line, but don't worry...it goes fast and SO worth the wait!

This place is really close to my job so my co-worker and I come here a lot. I love the fresh fruit toppings and the Asian influenced ones (passion fruit popping boba, mochi pieces). Sometimes the frozen yogurt comes out a little on the soupier side so it melts really fast. I miss the mango sorbet, but the favors have never disappointed me. Definitely a better (aka healthier) dessert than running off the nearby dunkin donuts or panera bread. The inside is super clean, bright, with modern furniture, and a playful color scheme. Love this place :)
Like Orange Leaf, but better (and pink/green instead of orange/green). They have a great selection of toppings and yogurt, and a very good loyalty/coupon system. Plus, it's less loaded with teenagers than Orange Leaf :)

Chick-fil-A

14647 US Hwy 31 N
Carmel, 46032
Reviews:
This is a pretty great Chick fil-a. Yes, the food is good. I like that the menu is simple. And my food has always been fresh there. What I really like about the Westfield Chick Fil-a is all they do for the community. It seems like they are always hosting a fundraiser night for a local school. If they aren't doing that, they are having free breakfast Wednesday's or Mom-son or daddy-daughter date nights. My son LOVES the date night and taking the limo ride and giving me a (complimentery) rose. As soon as it's over, he talks about the next one. The employees are always friendly and service is quick. It's a good place.
The drive-thru service was quick and friendly, my order was correct and the food was great as always. Pretty much the quality you expect from Chick-Fil-A.
Chic-Fil-A is one of those guilty pleasures that we all love. I don't know anyone who isn't a fan of their food. In fact, many local companies in this area have Chic-fil-A catered-in during employee events. My only minor complaint is the crowd level. I've been to this location several times, and not once has it been anything less than standing-room-only. The place is packed to the hilt, and the drive-thru is usually wrapped around the building at least once. That's good for the owners, but bad for those of us who don't want to go to a concert mosh pit for a meal. Would it kill Corporate to open a few more franchises? If you build it, they will come. One other side note: Avoid any discussion (while you're dining in) about human evolution or about the world being older than 6000 years, just an FYI.

Miracle Sushi and Modern Asian Cuisine

12505 Old Meridian St,Ste 140
Carmel, 46032
Reviews:
This place is as good as it gets. Hands down, best sushi in Indianapolis. Very inventive and just overall absolutely amazing maki and dinner entrees. Even presentation is so modern. The fusion of Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese and Thai in one place is just so creative. One of my favorites happens to be their namesake "miracle" sushi. It's white tuna with lime and spicy wasabi. I even told the friendly owner that I'm comparing him the chef to Chef Nobu...Yes, it's that good.
I have never seen a place go down hill so fast. After eating here a few times, and each time having a great experience, i gave it a 5 star review. I went there the other day and it was a service and food disaster. We made reservations for two but we were forced to stand there waiting for a table And a group of 4 walk ins were seated a head of us. We were then seated right next to the people who were seated before us, at a table for four, so it was not a case of waiting for a table for two to open. Then we waited and waited for our drink order, our food order, and the bill. I was never offered a second drink and we had to flag down another server to get a second drink for my guest and the bill. It took so Damn long I just wanted to get out of there. The scallops I ordered were a bit undercooked, and they complete forgot to bring the frites we ordered. My guest ordered a sushi roll and they told us that it Might be a long wait. For a sushi roll? I can't recommend this place going forward.
My wife and loved it! - a true "Miracle" since she's a beginner at the sushi lifestyle. Pros: - Excellent Sashimi and Rolls - Amazing Service - Small Business - New, Clean, Modern Restaurant Cons: - Can't think of anything So stoked that this new sushi place near my apartment was so good. The staff was friendly and didn't mind explaining dishes to myself and beginner wife. The restaurant was spotless and decorated in a modern Asian style. The food was amazing. We had the Crispy Smoked Salmon roll, Firecracker roll, Super White sashimi and the salmon sashimi. Sean, the owners son (I think) checked on us regularly (in addition to our assigned waiter) and was extremely helpful in explaining different items and even showing us photos of the dish from his phone. A+++

Prime 47

14300 Clay Ter Blvd
Carmel, 46032
Reviews:
Prime 47 is a great steakhouse. I arrived at about 6pm and was promptly greeted by the Valet attendant (who was freezing to death outside). The hostess promptly seated me in the dining area, allowing me to select my own table since the restaurant was essentially empty at 6pm on a weekday. I chose the bone-in ribeye (medium) with truffle fries, along with a delightful 12-year Scotch on the rocks. Service was very prompt & courteous; I was greeted by name each time the head waiter came over. My steak was properly prepared, tending to be a bit more on the rare(er) side, but still very flavorful. The truffle fries were surprisingly good. Overall this was a great experience and a top-notch meal. Yes, it's pricey, but as I've said before, you get something for that extra money at a true fine dining restaurant. You get a wait staff that doesn't refer to you as "hey guys". You get your drinks replenished without having to beg. You get a high quality, properly dry-aged steak and not a piece of leather. You get your crumbs wiped from your table regularly. And, in my case, you sometimes even get a complimentary dessert that you didn't even order. Nice touch.
Pretentious, over-priced, sub-par. If you want to pull your GMC truck up for valet parking only 40 yards away from a half-empty mall parking lot, to pay big bucks for average food, then this is the place for you. Admittedly, we went during the Northside Nights promotion thinking we would get excellent food for a reasonable price. Instead we felt like the poor folk who were invited in for leftovers. The iceberg/blue cheese salad and salmon vegetable soup, served with a nice assortment of bread, were excellent but our expectations were crushed with our steak entrees (served before my date finished her salad). My allegedly 10-oz. ribeye was about 5 ounces of meat and 5 ounces of inedible fat, ordered medium but served well-done. It was no better than the last time I ate at Ponderosa or Bonanza. My date's 6-oz. filet was served well-done even though it was ordered medium rare. She sent it back and it returned medium well. We had a show to catch so she ate it. She said she's had better filet at Ted's nearby. Served with unremarkable runny mashed potatoes and a small serving of broccolini. The manager stopped by to apologize, but the best he could offer as my date waited for the second steak was another soup or salad. As he looked at my plate, with 5 ounces of steak fat piled where my ribeye used to be, he should have been so embarrassed that he should have at least offered to comp the $44 bottle of wine. The bread pudding was excellent, the strawberry shortcake plain and dry. Instead of a bargain, we felt ripped off with a total bill after tip of $145+. Two stars instead of just one based on the salad, soup, bread pudding, and fairly attentive (but not perfect) service. We regretted not going to some of the stand-bys so close in the mall. Lesson learned.
Yum, yum, yum. This place is so good. The food quality and taste is outstanding. And, you just can't beat the service. Everyone is so hospitable and accommodating. We've been in 3 times now and I don't have one bad thing to say. I love the truffle mashed potatoes and the sea bass will melt in your mouth. We've sat outside all 3 times so I can't speak to the ambiance inside but they do often have live music which is fun. And there are private rooms available, which would be fun for a small party. One of the nicer restaurants to check out if you're on the north side.

A northside secret. But how long until the word is out? I've been coming here since they opened. Service has always been great, & the food has gone from above average to amazing. The majority of the time, I ask somebody straight up what I should order, and they know whether I'll like the specials or not. I've had their catering at a few formal events, and you wouldn't believe what they're capable of in that tiny kitchen of theirs! Shelley & Brian are some of the most genuine people I've ever met, and they truly do care about their staff & customers. I can't believe Guy Fieri or one of those other shows hasn't been here yet!
We loved the Blue Moon Cafe. We are from out of town and wanted something original. I had a pancetta and Brie panini. It was wonderful. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
If you are in the area, go eat here. The atmosphere was easy, help friendly, food awesome, and easy parking. The spicy tomato soup and Ham Panini was awesome. They have homemade baked goods and great coffee. Enjoy.
