Prime 47 is a great steakhouse. I arrived at about 6pm and was promptly greeted by the Valet attendant (who was freezing to death outside). The hostess promptly seated me in the dining area, allowing me to select my own table since the restaurant was essentially empty at 6pm on a weekday. I chose the bone-in ribeye (medium) with truffle fries, along with a delightful 12-year Scotch on the rocks. Service was very prompt & courteous; I was greeted by name each time the head waiter came over. My steak was properly prepared, tending to be a bit more on the rare(er) side, but still very flavorful. The truffle fries were surprisingly good. Overall this was a great experience and a top-notch meal. Yes, it's pricey, but as I've said before, you get something for that extra money at a true fine dining restaurant. You get a wait staff that doesn't refer to you as "hey guys". You get your drinks replenished without having to beg. You get a high quality, properly dry-aged steak and not a piece of leather. You get your crumbs wiped from your table regularly. And, in my case, you sometimes even get a complimentary dessert that you didn't even order. Nice touch.

Pretentious, over-priced, sub-par. If you want to pull your GMC truck up for valet parking only 40 yards away from a half-empty mall parking lot, to pay big bucks for average food, then this is the place for you. Admittedly, we went during the Northside Nights promotion thinking we would get excellent food for a reasonable price. Instead we felt like the poor folk who were invited in for leftovers. The iceberg/blue cheese salad and salmon vegetable soup, served with a nice assortment of bread, were excellent but our expectations were crushed with our steak entrees (served before my date finished her salad). My allegedly 10-oz. ribeye was about 5 ounces of meat and 5 ounces of inedible fat, ordered medium but served well-done. It was no better than the last time I ate at Ponderosa or Bonanza. My date's 6-oz. filet was served well-done even though it was ordered medium rare. She sent it back and it returned medium well. We had a show to catch so she ate it. She said she's had better filet at Ted's nearby. Served with unremarkable runny mashed potatoes and a small serving of broccolini. The manager stopped by to apologize, but the best he could offer as my date waited for the second steak was another soup or salad. As he looked at my plate, with 5 ounces of steak fat piled where my ribeye used to be, he should have been so embarrassed that he should have at least offered to comp the $44 bottle of wine. The bread pudding was excellent, the strawberry shortcake plain and dry. Instead of a bargain, we felt ripped off with a total bill after tip of $145+. Two stars instead of just one based on the salad, soup, bread pudding, and fairly attentive (but not perfect) service. We regretted not going to some of the stand-bys so close in the mall. Lesson learned.

Yum, yum, yum. This place is so good. The food quality and taste is outstanding. And, you just can't beat the service. Everyone is so hospitable and accommodating. We've been in 3 times now and I don't have one bad thing to say. I love the truffle mashed potatoes and the sea bass will melt in your mouth. We've sat outside all 3 times so I can't speak to the ambiance inside but they do often have live music which is fun. And there are private rooms available, which would be fun for a small party. One of the nicer restaurants to check out if you're on the north side.

Went to the downtown location. Had excellent service, and the food was truly excellent. Overall great experience. Adding this to my list of favorite steakhouses in Indy.

They've changed their name again, to prime 47. We had a reservation and didn't have to wait for a table. We sat in the bar. They had a piano player, which was nice. I had one of their five dollar drink specials, a peach martini, yum. I started with a house salad and bread. It was a typical salad, the bread was excellent. A good variety and two kinds of butter. The two petite fillets with mushroom crab topping was next. It was spectacular! I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes. The sides are huge and prob could have been shared by 3-4 people. I really liked my dinner. It is very expensive, $61 for my check. More a date night place, not a dinner while shopping stop.

We had an excellent experience here. It started with a big FU to all the places that treat discount diners as second class citizens. We ordered from the $30 North side Nights menu, and they could not have treated us better. Every person there went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and appreciated. When I first arrived, rather than point to the restrooms, the host actually escorted me over. The servers work in teams, and came over after every course was served to make sure everything was acceptable and we did not need anything. They were attentive without hovering. An extra special part of the evening was the manager coming over to congratulate us on our special night (it was our anniversary). The hostess actually took a picture of us, printed it, and returned it in a frame as a keepsake of the night. There was a piano player all evening. It was funny to hear Elton John and Celine Dion songs, but it added a nice ambiance. Birthdays were celebrated with a candle in desserts as the pianist played a softer version of Happy Birthday. It was a nice touch for those celebrating, without being intrusive to other tables. Onto the food. THE FOOD. Because of baby, there was no wine for me, but the list looked impressive. Hubby had a local Sun King Oktoberfest served in a frosty glass and poured tableside. Complementary bread came out -- whole grain, cheese ciabatta, and sesame something-or-other. There was regular butter and their butter of the day, which was cinnamon. Heavenly! The bread was soft and fresh. I had the Caesar salad. It was nothing special taste-wise, but plated beautifully. And, as Caesar's SHOULD, was served with actual anchovies. Yum. I had the 6-oz filet, and it was cooked perfectly to order and melt in your mouth tender. I think it was seasoned very simply, nothing overpowering to overshadow the meat. It was served with mashed potatoes that were so creamy, and broccolini that I actually ate (quite a feat for me, but it was quite tasty). Dessert was shortcake with fresh berries. Again, everything was very fresh and even the shortcake was on the lighter side, not too heavy or dense. It was such a great experience here, I will definitely be back for special occaisions.

Celebrating 4 years with Mrs F! These were our celebration gifts from the GM. Truly an amazing experience! From the hostess who took my reservation for our anniversary asked if we were celebrating anything special to the personalized welcome and GM selection of our table wishing us a Happy Anniversary. It really was magical! They went so far as to personalize our menu to say Happy 4th Anniversary. They then took our picture and gave us a framed copy at the end of our dinner. Food Quality, Service Quality and ambiance were all top notch. Guys if your looking to impress your special lady I highly recommend Prime 47. They truly understand what it means to create Raving Fans and Magical Moments!

Excellent meal and service. Seabass was exceptional and ribeye steak was perfect. Manager Seth checked on us several times to make sure all was ok. Lots of people here for special occasion dinners. We will definitely come back!

Perhaps our expectations were too high for a Mothers Day buffet at what is self-billed as a high end gourmet restaurant. The service was spotty and, most importantly, they ran out of many of the dishes right after noon. The oysters were gone. French toast was gone. Bacon was gone. Fish was not to be found and all that was left of the prime rib was well done. The server offered to bring oysters and French toast to our table. It never arrived. As we were leaving we noticed that the prime rib was gone and had been replaced by steak strips. Unacceptable for an experienced restaurant.

The restaurant is tucked away in the Terrace Clay Mall area. It is quiet and intimate. We had three servers assist in the delivery of our meal. They personalized the menu for my niece which made it a nice keepsake for the celebration. Our meal consisted of the meatballs, calamari, filet mignon, broccoli, salad, and truffle mashed potatoes. The truffle mashed potatoes were the highlight of the night for me. Whereas everything was absolutely delicious, the mashed potatoes are what I crave since our visit. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

This place has a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, great live music, and a filet to die for cooked to perfection. Oh, and the service is top notch. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Went on sat night, and tried the northside nights menu. The clam chowder was light and good. It was a broth instead of cream based soup. The house salad was standard, balsamic dressing seemed freshly made. The steak and was cooked to perfection. The salmon had delicious glaze on the salmon. Mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery as they should be. Creamed spinach was delightful with a little crumb topping. The dessert to get is the blueberry bread pudding. Don't waste your time on the shortbread. Ours was a bit dense and hard... I'm surprised they didn't have a chocolate offering. If the shortbread was better, and the server was more on point like the rest of staff. It would be a 5.

Can't say we loved it. Prime rib sliders were disappointing. Crab cake less than ok. Truffle fries were tasty. Bartender was attentive and personable. Apparently we should have mentioned it was our anniversary. Hope they make it, we like to convenient location.

Basically amazing. We ordered the prime 37 selection. Prepare yourself for the SPICIEST shrimp cocktail sauce. The Caesar salad is delicious, just make sure to ask them to leave off the anchovies if you don't like them. Filet mignon was succulent and don't forget to add the truffle mashed potatoes as a side!!

Great food and even better service. Had a wonderful time with my family and we can't wait to go back. Special thanks to Natalie and Cameron for the exceptional service.

Classy, great service, live pianist. Try a happy hour or "reverse" happy hour- last two hours before close, drink and app specials. Summer outdoor lounge area will so fun if warm weather ever gets here!!

We had a great meal. The place was a little more "buttoned up" than I expected but the food and service were very good. The prices are a little higher than Sullivan's and some others but when paying this much it doesn't really matter. Lobster Mac and cheese was on point. I'll be back!

Went here looking for a nice place in Carmel, IN to enjoy a good glass of wine with some atmosphere on a Sat. night (here on business). Very very nice bartender, a young man who knew his CA wines and was gracious enough to comp my lobster bisque, because I found it be...gross. He offered me the seafood chowder style soup instead, which was slightly better, because it was spiked with cayenne pepper. However, the broth was equally salty and clearly not a dish the chef put a lot of effort or thought into. The bread was really good, too good, I could only eat a couple bites of the crusty, buttery, doughy decadent loaf. The guys sitting near me eating steaks seemed very happy and ordered desert, which equally seemed to satisfy them. In sum, bad soup, great bartender is all I can really say.

Came for their happy hour but due to our baby we couldn't sit at the bar. They made an exception and put us at the main restaurant area. The waiters were kind and the manager was nice. We got our bread and it was delicious (one of the best dinner bread we've had). We ordered burger and calamari, and both were done perfectly. Will definitely go back. This place is much better than St. Elmo.

I absolutely love this restaurant.. Any special event I have it there... They make my family and I feel very important. The manager Seth is a gentleman and Mike, at the bar is phenomenal!!!

Excellent service and great food. The bartender was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their vast inventory of great wine and liquors. The 12 ounce fillet I had was delicious, on par with the other top steakhouses in Indy. The bartender recommended a bacon infused chocolate martini which was so spectacular it reappeared in my dreams later that night. A+

So I just went here for my birthday dinner with my family, and it was the first time any of us had gone here. I chose to try this over going to Ruth's Chris, and I am very glad I did. This is a great place all around. No complaints. Our drinks were always full, all of the staff was very nice and attentive, and I liked the whole ambiance. On to the most important part - the food. Not one thing that I tried wasn't awesome. The bread, the black grouper, the lobster mac, the truffle fries, the chicken marinara, and the ribeye w/ truffle butter (I tried a bite of some other entrees). Everything was top tier, and they even brought a huge cookie with ice cream in a skillet, with a candle on top, for my birthday. A nice touch. I would give every aspect of my visit a 5 star, and will make sure to pick this place for any other special occasion.

Last weekend my wife and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary at Prime47 at Clay Terrace. We were treated like old friends - given a table with some privacy and charm. The meal and service were fantastic. My wife especially liked the crab cake - best she has ever had. I'd highly recommend this place for the atmosphere - spacious indoor / outdoor bar area and live music that was not overpowering.

Came here on a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. Love the complementary parking. The hostess was the sweetest thing who welcomed us, took a picture, framed it, and gave it to us as a souvenir. Even our menu was custom printed that said "Happy Anniversary." There was even a pianist that was pretty good. We ordered the wagyu tomahawk cooked medium. It was seasoned well and cooked just fine. It could have been 5 stars if not for our server. She was cordial but lacked rapport. Too fake in my opinion. It took forever for her to refill drinks and cleared our table prior to dessert. What annoyed me the most is when she brought the dessert out, she took the spoons out from her shirt pocket where she kept her pen and mini notebook. It was disgusting!

My husband and I went to Prime 47 for our anniversary. Several of the staff said happy anniversary and it was printed on our menus, a very nice touch! I had the filet and he had the ribeye, both were cooked perfectly. Our food and the service was outstanding, we will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was very relaxing, there was a gentleman playing the guitar and singing. 5 star experience!

Phenomenal service, amazing food... Worth every penny for the exceptional dining experience! You MUST try the Delmonico Ribeye (I got the spicy crab topping, which was amazing to me but my husband preferred his with the brandy peppercorn topping).

This place has moved up to our second favorite restaurant of all time. (Fujiyama's in Beech Groove will never drop from the number one spot). We went there for our 16th anniversary on a Friday night. Ben and Olaf were are servers and they were excellent. I had the filet and scallops and my wife had the 12oz filet so she could take some of it home for the next day. Both were cooked perfectly. In fact, the entire meal was perfect. My wife had wine and I had a very tasty margarita. They had a menu printed for us that said "Happy 16th Wedding Anniversary", which was a nice touch. The entire experience was first class. We'll definitely go back.

Excellent food and service from this restaurant. Filet mignon: perfect! Blackened salmon: delicious! Calamari: fantastic! More pleasure? Brunch! We were able to taste fantastic food. Our services each time were so brilliant and helpful. The cost is somewhat expensive, but well worth the money.

Good restaurant in Clay Terrace. Great service, but super pricey. Especially for the location. I would rather go to Mitchell's across the street... Great food and wine, lower overall cost.

Want yummy? Want excellent and friendly service? Come here. So happy that our hotel staff recommended Prime 47. The crab cake when prepared "well done" Is one of the top two In the midwest. I could sit there and just have a couple of those. The salad is fresh and simple. The medallion trio was good yet I prefer something a bit more simple. The NY Strip might be in my future. The meat itself is excellent quality. Very pretty ambiance. Looking forward to a return visit. Bravo! Very happy!

I came here for my birthday dinner and I'm only giving this place 2 stars for two reasons. 1- the service was subpar. The waiter was not very attentive to cater to our needs. 2- the steak we ordered did not wow us, it was alright. I feel that I could have had just as good of a meal and had better service at a fraction of the cost at another steak house in town.

I was very disappointed with the Mother's Day brunch. Items were constantly running out. They stopped serving some items before 2pm when the brunch ended at 3pm. The food was good but not worth the wait for the refills. My Mom was sad too when by the time we got to dessert they had cleared it out except for brownies that were cold from being frozen. We also ordered Bloody Mary's that were so strong my Mom and husband couldn't finish them. For the price it was a HUGE disappointment.
