This place is popping, came here for my first time on a Saturday night and it was packed. My friend invited us out to come see her and smoke with her. Nice decor, great set up and ambiance. Music was at a good volume, could've been a little lower. Maybe I am just old? Hookah was pretty good- average. But I did not like the service, super slow, had an opinion on our selections and requests saying "No, I know it better I am from Jordan.." Well I know what I want, because I know what I want. Waited forever for coals. Just not good vibes. I don't think I will be back...

Not a rant or rave... Just and honest review of our experience.. Three young professionals used to spending too much partying in the city decided to stay in the burbs and call it an easy calm and relaxing evening.. What better way to spend it then smoking hookah?! At least that's what we thought. We decided the try this place Kush after a coworker referred it. The first thing we noticed was the atmosphere of the place. We were pleasantly surprised, but sadly the positives end there.... The hostess that sat us was just awkward and didn't ask before touching our things and was very grabby. But we were able to get passed that as we assumed cultural differences even though she spoke perfect English could still tell she was European. We arrived to the place on a Friday when there was only two other tables seated. By 9pm the waitress/hostess asked if we wanted anything else, perhaps another hookah? We politely said at the moment we were fine but we may want another soon. At that point she immediately gave us her "spiel" of how Fridays and Saturdays they do reservations of two hours and that we had extended our stay and the reservation for the table were sitting at just arrived. (Despite the fact that no one was waiting and they had 6 tables open 3 of which had reservation tents on them as soon as we walked in the door 2.5 hours earlier...hmmm interesting). We all just looked at each other in aww.. Had we said we were going to purchased another hookah the story would have been clearly different. We bit our tongues and just gave up without a fight, you would think $80 on hookah for 3 people would be enough for them to not give us shit, but apparently not. So we gladly left to a place that would happily take our business and still treat us with respect. A great place for euro trash to have a "Cheers" like atmosphere. A place where every other dumb shit knows ur name :-) because apparently they are only friendly to regulars, which they made very clear with all the hugging and kissing as they walked in and the frequent cold shoulder to us. Not to mention one of the two tables sitting there when we walked in were still sitting there and still on their FIRST hookah.... Think again before choosing this place.. I have been using yelp for years.... But have never written a review.. Till today... Figure this place could use the well deserved publicity. Kudos

They are ok in the sense that I have been to better hookah lounges. It's great for you if you want a clam and quite hookah lounge environment cause if it's location and people that are there but you will be disappointed if you are looking for a typical hookah lounge atmosphere that is loud and full of people.

I'm a big hookah fan and I'm from Los Angeles, let me just the say the hookah is pretty good, but the service is here beyond amazing, the owner and employees were honestly the nicest people I spoke in awhile. I recommend this place to the residents here and tourist.

I wish all Hookah lounges were like Kush. The layout of the place is great & lets each group have it's own living room type feel. Between the music & the people, it is loud, but not necassarily a negative. I just wish cigarettes weren't allowed (This is for a visit about 9 months ago...just realized I hadn't posted it!)

Hookah, Hookah! Love the fact that Skokie finally has a Hookah lounge. There's one in Morton Grove but I like the decor here better. I've been there twice, once on a Wednesday and another time on a Friday. Wednesday there was a decent crowd, not too packed. They had the usual themed hookah lounge music playing, flat screens showing some arabic music videos. When I went there Friday it was packed, luckily there was aone table available and we were seated. Conversations all around were flowing, people appeared to be having a great time. I honestly had a great time with my friends. We ended up staying until 5am, the owner walked up to us around 4 and I had expected him to say "alright guys, time to close up," but he didn't. Instead he offered us some drinks that someone had left behind and said we could stay as long as we want. I joked and said "so, 7am OK?" He laughed and said "If that's what you want." Now that's what I'm talking about. Someone not pushing you out the door come 4 o'clock. We ordered a few hookahs, I'm big on the mango but the waitress brought us her own concoction and it literally blew our minds. Price wise it was average, service was outstanding which puts Kush at the top of Hookah lounges in/around the city. Oh, PS: BYOB!

My friends and I went to Kush for the first time yesterday. We were very satisfied. It was so much better than Cafe Ambrosia down at Armitage. We sat in these comfortable chairs. Had the Guava and white grape shisha. My friends and I really appreciated the small attention that the waiting staff gave us in terms of continuously checking in to see if we needed anything and seeing if the coal was burning the right way. Now that we know its BYOB, we'll be coming again with a six pack.

Kush is a great place to go to relax when the week is over. They have a good selection of flavors and thus far they've all been great! The atmosphere is wonderful because the lights are low and the couches are comfy, but the music isn't too trance-y so you don't fall asleep. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it's overall a great experience. It's also great that they have a parking lot. The only down side is that it's far away, in Skokie.

I always pass by this place and finally went in. I'm glad I did. It has a very chill vibe, comfortable leather sofas. The environment is clean, which is a huge bonus. No older creepy guys staring at you (ahem..ali babas, ugly hookah, etc.) also a plus. The service was friendly. She came frequently to ask if we needed anything. Nonetheless, it was a Monday night so it was slow. Music was a bit loud, but I didn't mind. A lot of techno/trance/dance The hookah tasted good and lasted long. We got the guava flavor. Only downside I had was that they automatically charge a 18% gratuity tip for parties of 1+ and $5 per person for shared hookahs. Seemed a tad extreme to me. I will definitely be visiting this place again =]

I Love this place because of the setting.. it's like a Downtown lounge in the middle of Skokie which is hard to find around here. It's also BYOB and the Have great Hookah with so many flavors. It's a great place to take friends or a date if you're trying to lay low and relax in a dim setting with nice music and great customer service. Their prices are very reasonable and you feel like you're VIP because of the seating arrangement everyone has their own couch and table and it's not all cramped up and congested inside so you really get to enjoy your evening. Must check this place out because it's blowing other hookah lounges out the water! It's BYOB!! Hard to find in a Suburb that's for sure! Keep up the good work guys!

Hookah bars are moving further and further outside the city limits. I thought it was an interesting space. I think it was a bread store. My friend and I went there on a Monday night night when it was quiet and no one else there. Our waitress came up to us quickly and gave us menus that listed a ton of drinks and different tobaccos. They didn't have my drink-blue Monster but they did have a sugar free Red Bull which was just as good. The layout of the place is huge-with a whole bunch of really comfortable, overstuffed leather chairs, already it's a great place to chill out. The tobacco we got pomegranate was interesting-never had it before but it was kind of flavor wise. I can see though that compared to some other choices how it can be a weak one-it's not like pomegranate is a really super distinct flavor. A really nice addition to the burbs as well as a nice hookah lounge.

I went there before and I wrote a bad review. My friend told me to try it again. Let me tell you that I WAS COMPLETLY SHOCKED. Service was 15 out of 10. Customer Service and Proffesionalism was 20 out 10. I loved it. I noticed they greet customers as they walk in matter of 10 seconds. THATS COOL! Hours are nice and the AMBIANCE IS JUST CLASSY!!!!!!! Price was decent. I apologized for a bad review previously but I guess everyone was having a bad day. I AM SOO GLAD I GAVE KUSH ANOTHER SHOT!!!!!!!!!! Im already trying to get a group party to go there again. KUSH I LOVE IT.

We had a blast. Our hostess suggested flavored two of us including me had never been to a hookah lounge.I would give it 5 but the videos on the flat screen were terrible.

I have been coming to Kush for a few years now, but I'd say in the last year and a half I'm an avid regular! I started going alone this past year when I was still in school and needed somewhere chill to do my papers and studying, and now that I'm done with school I still sometimes go alone just to chill and watch some Netflix haha! Most of the time though, I come with friends or my boyfriend to hang out, play cards, enjoy hookah and some drinks occasionally.I've tried many other hookah places, but Kush is hands down my spot! Mary, Tim, Amir, Muhammad, and Michelle are all awesome and the service and hookah is excellent every time I'm there! Other reasons why kush is the best: BYOB Lots of different flavors to choose from Their vanilla coffee is excellent Their bathrooms are ALWAYS clean Comfortable Couches and Chairs Free Wifi

So I'm not quite sure why people come here. The prices are very interestingly priced, to say the least. So it's 15 dollars per hookah and they recommend one hookah for 2 people . However, there is a charge of 5 dollars per extra person. So basically, it is 20 dollars total for 2 people. In our group, we had 9 people. So we had to get 4 hookahs for 60$ and 5$ more dollars for 5 people which meant 9 people 4 hookahs = 85$. also, this place is a byob but they charge 5$ per person to drink. If you buy a 30$ bottle of liquor for 5 people, it would cost 30$(for the alcohol from a liquor store) plus another 25$ for drinking there. Our group (9) brought just a case of beer which was a bit over 10$ but would have to pay 5x9=45$ I have never been to a hookah place priced this way. And I have been many hookah establishments all over. Hookah should be priced per hookah set. Also, being as it is a BYOB place, I understand if there is a small fee. But five dollars an individual is ridiculous since the beer is a total of 11 dollars for everyone. Despite the horrible prices. Atmosphere is somewhat descent and service was good. To sum things up, I will definitely NOT be returning back as I know there are better places out there.

Very clean and "classy". Thanks to their no baseball cap policy the place can stay classy. I asked why there is a no hat policy in place. I was told it was not classy. I was told I can leave if I didn't like the policy. Even though there was someone wearing a beanie in the corner. The owner said he thinks beanies are classy, and told me I can leave if I didn't like the policy. They also add 18% gratuity to your bill and its Byob, but guess what! They charge a 5$ fee per person if you Byob. Needless to say... We left. It's a shame they run business the way do. The environment was very inviting and warm.

The best hookah lounge! Classy place. Good for any event birthdays celebration or just a great place with a girl or friends. Mary is the best server! Thanks kush for always coming threw with a great hookah and an amazing time. Parking no problem big lot available so that's not a problem

  • Monica E.

I've been coming to Kush Hookah for a couple of years now and I must say compared to the other hookah bars in the neighborhood - Kush tops the list. Let's begin with the fundamentals: Parking is super convenient which is a super plus since we don't have to search for parking compared to the other hookah spots. Decor is modern and hip which gives the place a very chill vibe. I must say I'm not a fan of the music videos nor the music (sometimes). I'm just there for the hookah. They have a great variation for their hookah selections which is +++! I always ask the server to recommend me a choice and she never fails. Service is superb. The servers always make sure everything is taken care of so we can enjoy our late night smoke!

I don't know where to start with this 5 star lounge! From the decor to the atmosphere, everything is fantastically set up for customers to enjoy themselves! The hookahs are always kept clean and over 50 flavors to choose from. Let me tell you, the hookah expert combines amazing mixes and he never seems to fail! I've been a valuable customer for years now. The service is always excellent. Now, where can you go with great service at a busy time? No where! That's what shocks me. The Lounge has an amazing facility running Kush Hookah Lounge. I would highly suggest to book a reservation. I didn't book a reservation one night and Kush was completely slammed with a 45 minute wait! The host let us know there's a two hour reservation limit as well. Luckily, Tim (the owner) sat my group (which we were 5 people) within 10 minutes! Kush's team is generous and they try their best to keep all customers satisfied. Pricing isn't bad either. Depending on what you purchase. Every two people purchase a hookah at $15 and the second person is charged as a $5 shared hookah! 18% Gratuity is added as well. So, for 5 people the bill was $53.10 for two hookahs and 3 shared fees. If you want an amazing night, I recommend you to try Kush Hookah Lounge and you'll definitely be satisfied with the hookahs and service!! To the Kush Facility, I appreciate the amazing customer service you give to all your customers.

Went back last night with a few friends and as always enjoyed my time. I would like to mention for everyone to try the Zootem mix. Most amazing flavor I have ever had. The service is amazing and the pricing is normal. We spent $20 per person which included the BYOB charge. In total for 4 people we $80 tip and everything. Will be back...

BEWARE ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEES AND AUTOMATIC 18% GRATUITY ADDED TO BILL. If you are okay with that, bypass my review. This was my first time at this Hookah lounge. I heard good things about it, it was one of the few places still open, it was BYOB, so we decided to give it a try. The place itself was nice. It was not claustrophobic - nice and airy - and pretty comfortable. The furniture and lighting were appropriate (music, not so much) and the staff seemingly nice (the lady who seated us let us know right away that we only had an hour to enjoy our hookah, which we appreciated, even though it was a bum to go so late and have only an hour on the hookah). The hookahs they set up and brought out for us right away were very nice hookahs, the pull and flavor great. There was a different lady that took our order. She had some customer service skills but not that many. She asked us if all of us were drinking liquor, to which we answered yes, and she said okay and went to put in our order. I think her customer service was bad because when we got our bill we were SHOCKED. We ordered two hookahs ($15 apiece) and were charged $15 each for them. Then we were charged a five dollar service fee to share the hookah between two people (so a five dollar service fee per hookah), then we were charged $5 a piece (4 of us) because we brought our own liquor. On TOP of that they charged us an 18% gratuity which came out to be $10.80. So let's add that up shall we? $15+$5+$15+$5+$5+$5+$5+$5+10.80 = $70.80 So, for $70.80 we got a little under an hour of hookah for four people. RIP OFF. I would have been a little less upset if right when we ordered our hookah, the lady would have engaged us a little more asking us a) have you been here before and b) this is how it works. We were pretty much unprepared for this price which we paid that i felt ripped off. WHY ARE THEY CHARGING US A 18% GRATUITY???? for Setting up the hookah??? they should be including that in the $20 they charge us!! And what is with all of the hidden SERVICE FEES!!??? Although i liked the atmosphere and the hookah, i don't think i will be coming back to this place.

Haven't been for awhile. Came in with a few friends and enjoyed my time. The lemonmint is very good you can taste the lemon in your mouth. Turkish coffee is arabic with a nice sweet taste to it. Always recommend this place.

  • Katerina R.

They have good hookah choices. The atmosphere feels like you are in your house in the living room. Couches are comfy and leather. Thy play EDM music so it somewhat doesn't mix well with the living room feel. Hookahs are 15$ for every 2 people. This place gets packed so make a reservation. Te place is also really clean and the service is good.

This place is expensive BUT its byob. If you are drinking then its totally worth it, if you arent you are probably better off somewhere else. The server was extremely nice and the decor was cool. They had comfy couches, nice big chairs, and plenty of flavors to choose from.

  • Greg T.

Most hookah lounges I have been to were much like a buddy's garage. A grungy couch, black lights and hipsters everywhere. Not that that is a bad thing, its what I'm used to experiencing. And then Kush happened. Its BYOB, we brought a handle of Vodka, ordered some snapple and coke, and a hooka. They have a wide selection of shisha at reasonable prices, the atmosphere is gently lit, like a classy cocktail lounge with black leather and maroon everywhere, the music was non-intrusive progressive house, (mostly remixed pop songs, which I didn't mind) and the service is unbelievable. At one point we spilled a drink and not only did someone come over to clean it up, they THANKED US for telling them about it. They THANKED US for OUR hospitality. I was flabbergasted. Every member of the staff wore a smile. They changed our coals twice during our stay and told us to come back anytime, which, next time I'm in the Chicago area, I certainly will.

I've been coming to Kush for a long time and I must say I've never been disappointed. Service is great and hookah flavors are really good. You walk in and instantly get greeted by the staff with a huge smile. Great atmosphere and awesome staff ! Definitely my go to hookah spot !

KHL is a great spot for a casual night OR on a Saturday night when the place is packed. Kush has a variety of flavors and offers unbelievable service. All of the waiters are extremely friendly and always make their customers feel welcome. I've been to KHL at least once, every night of the week. Their set up with their dim lights, good music and good vibe makes KHL the best hookah lounge i've ever been to. I've continued to go to KHL and will keep on going for a while. The parking lot is extremely convenient because it is located next to Kush, and it has many spots. Overall, Kush is an fantastic lounge with great hookah, service, and most importantly, a fantastic vibe. Great management too! Cheers.

The best hookah bar in suburbs hands down. Great service great hookah and awesome atmosphere. They actually turn on the heat unlike other hookah places lol. The prices are average. If you get a hookah everything is included with tax. The flavors are majority al fahker but the hookah maker is a magician when it comes to making the hookahs so its like better than star buzz. Also the hookah maker will go the distance to help you give you tips on how to make the perfect hookah. The only thing that sucks is that they don't give you charcoals with the hookah when you run out.

    (4)
  • Anastasiya A.

Love couches, so comfy... And music is also always nice. The closest hookah for northern suburbs. Flavors choice is good and employees are friendly. Definitely yes, if you like lounge atmosphere and hookah

    (5)
  • Louise A.

The worst hookah bar I ever been. They charge extra $5 for each additional person and the hookah are not really good. The pittas and hummus they just brought in a package , like we bought it from the store . Servers are not really friendly . I wouldn't not advice you to go there

Great experience very nice place to smoke hookah they were very nice and helpful I recommend this place for everyone

  • Zaid A.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially if you're going to visit on a weekend ,1st it is very pricey and you get charged for sharing hookah ,and if you do not smoke you'll also get charged as well, plus 18% after all charges will be added to your bill as a gratuity , the service is very slow and you have to Wait forever for the charcoals which they give you only one piece!! ,the owner is very disrespectful!! He told us to leave because he had reservations and we only can sit for two hours but I haven't seen him carrying a timer ! ,definitely will not visit again .

  • James L.

Haven't on yelp for a long time but had to say something about Kush. Wow wow wow! This place is amazing. Best hookah I have ever had. The taste of the hookahs were unreal. The inside is very modern and clean. The service is great and they constantly go around and ask how your doing. The pricing is not bad for what you get. There was 3 of us and we paid $42.50 for a great night. Would recommend this place if your looking for night away from the clubs and just want to chill.

    (5)
  • Hamza S.

Hookah taste ok, but our bill for four people, two of which were not even smoking totaled out to be $45, which I would say is absurd. I would rather drive the distance to go somewhere better and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Well the best place in Chicago to smoke hookah. Very nice owner, great flavours and amazing music. Interior cool and European! Most important thing the place is really clean!!!! Highly recommended!!!

My first time was sooooooooo laid back and relaxing! Me and co-worker chilled after a seminar and before we knew it we had been there 2 1/2 hours. That is how relaxed we were. Not to mention some cute guys were coming in lol. We had an amazing time! Definitely going back!

Management are assholes. Show up less than exactly the time of your reservation and they'll turn your table over. No courtesy period.

  • Emily B.

Awesome hookah lounge! The service is great, atmosphere even better. The couches are very comfortable, you can fall asleep :) This is a great spot to come to after a dinner date or a night with friends. You also can't go wrong with BYOB places! We came here early on a Saturday night, about 8:30. We were probably the 3rd party there. When we left around 10:30 it started picking up and you will probably need to call to make reservations. They also have a ton of hookah flavors to choose from. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for some hookah, drinks and conversation!

Came here 3 of us total , got 1 $15 hookah and 3 green teas total was $40? They charge $5 per person and I'm guessing gratuity. Byob and environment makes this place fun but the hookah don't smoke well. If you want good atmosphere and comfy couches this is your spot , if your a real hookah smoker go to uglys ..

  • Bridget S.

I've only been here twice so far, but I know this is going to be my go-to place for hookah. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Both times I came here after 11pm (they are open pretty late) and there was still a decent amount of people, but not overly crowded at all. The tables and couches are spread nicely so it doesn't feel claustrophobic when it's crowded. I've been to other hookah lounges where that was a problem. Not here! The whole environment is very relaxed and yet fun at the same time. The prices are similar to other places, and they do have a small menu of drinks (non alcoholic), which is nice. It's really the great staff that makes me love this place. So far I'm really glad that I happened to stop by here,

    (5)
  • Alex J.

Yo yo yo. I thought in the State of Illinois you could no longer imposes a gratuity without a prior agreement. This place is a scam. The service stinks and waitress if u can call her that had a bad attitude. Your fees that u impose on the bill stink. They should be posted or explained when customers enter. Our group will be sending letters to Lisa Madigan the Illinois Attorney General to investigate your scam with the Illinois Department of a Revenue.

  • Lisa V.

Terrible place. Hookah is bad and they gave us different flavor. And prices are too high. 5$ for each person? Really? 15$ hookah only for one person. I'll never come back here again! And they included tips already . Maybe I'm gonna like the waitress ! Thank you

  • Mili A.

This place is trash!!!! The previous owner was much respectful .. If your were a hat they consider you a gang banger Lmaoo this place is ridiculous not like their hookahs any better... There's other places who have respect for their customers don't spend your money on this type of business.. Owned by a A...hole...

Nice place, comfortable couches and very good service BUT terrible hookah tobacco. This place used to give you an option on different tobacco companies like every other hookah lounge I've been to and now it's just one and their prices are ridiculous. I recently came back to this place just cause it was closer to my house but this was my last time. We got a hookah for me and one other person on the menu it says $15 a hookah (tax included) with a 2 hour time limit, time limit!? Really?! We finished up and the bill was $20, I saw they had tacked on an additional $5 for an additional smoker. Every other hookah lounge I've been to (I've been to plenty of them) usually allows a minimum of 2-3 people per hookah, and all those other places also give you an option of different types of tobacco. Too bad this place has made such poor choices like being greedy and over charging cause it really is a nice place.

my friends and I have gone to Kush about 4-5 times and have enjoyed the place every time we went. The service is great; I really like the people working there, because when you ask for charcoal, you get it quickly. They are fantastic with providing hookah flavor recommendations. It is conveniently located in Skokie, IL and I LOVE that they have a parking lot. Finding parking can be such a pain.. The only two things I don't like is how they charge $5 for the second smoker, they usually do that after the third person at other lounges, but I go anyway because their hookah is good. Second thing I don't like is the music; it's mostly techno and the music videos on the tvs don't match with the songs. My best friend likes the music, but I'd prefer some arabic or hip hop music. I rarely see arabic music playing in a hookah lounge, unless there is a belly dancer around (which is unfortunate, I'm Middle Eastern and love it :D ). Other than that, Kush is worth going to: for the hookah and service. I will try to go more often.

Nice place. Very relaxed environment. Good service, but the girl that was serving me spent a lot of time on the couch with her friends smoking cigarettes. She was attentive when we needed her though.

  • Nick M.

Five stars for the absolutely fantastic service. Even when they're super busy, the servers and managers go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. Very comfortable environment. Decent location and good hours. Free, fast wifi. High quality hookah and hoses. Good shisha. Fairly knowledgeable staff that are constantly performing heat management. I saw a few coal faux-pas, like putting a still-flaming quick light on a smoking hookah or overheating the initial head, but nothing serious. They allow cigarettes, so neighboring tables full of foul smelling high-schoolers is a mild risk. Decent ventilation mitigates that. I can understand some of the criticism of the BYOB charges, but the other price criticisms are unfounded. An hour-lasting hookah is only $15. Refill heads are only $5, which is a great deal compared to other establishments which charge for a whole new hookah. Charging for extra people is also pretty standard. Snacks and beverages are well-priced. Overall this is one of the better places I've been to in the U.S. By far the best you'll find in the area.

I'm not usually a fan of hookah bars, and after some years of bad experiences at various ones around the city, I decided that unless I was literally forced into one, I was done with them. Now, I can't say that I was physically dragged into Kush, but--long story short--I really was left with no choice. As it turned out, I had a fantastic time. We were greeted immediately upon entering by a man I believe is the owner. He was so kind to us, and it wasn't fake. It was genuine, like he truly appreciated us. What I took note of right away was the fact that the place is so clean and well-kept. It has a really modern look inside, the furniture is comfortable, and spaced out so that each group has more than enough room. Fun music. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. The service was exceptional. The staff is constantly making their rounds, always on-hand for anything that you need. Everything is delivered to your table promptly and just as you want it. The staff made excellent recommendations--the hookah was perfect! Can't believe I'm saying this, but I most definitely will be back. All-around great experience.

I went here for the first time after driving by many times and wanting to give it a try. I must say I was not disappointed! I went on Friday night, but got there pretty early, around 8p and we were the only ones there. But by 9 it was almost completely full with some groups, some singles smoking and using the wifi, etc. Really relaxing ambience, low lights and dance-type music but not too loud so it did not ruin the setting. It is more expensive than one might expect ($15 for hookah, plus $5 per extra person and automatic 18% tip added), but I think its important to realize that they cannot serve food or alcohol since its a smoking establishment, so the prices have to be higher. So glad there's a cool hookah place on the north shore. I will definitely be back.

Have been a regular and always somewhat happy until tonight. Had less than stellar treatment obvious to all and the server added an automatic 20% plus tip to the bill. Only three of us and I questioned the automatic bill increase to be rudely informed that it was the owners decision. When the owner was queried as to the change in policy he told us that it was the waitress . Someone obviously is lying. New policy sucks- and I never write a bad review and I was always pleased until tonight . Now this place is over priced- and I may never go back.

I will give them credit for a good hookah selection, friendly staff, and comfortable environment (although the music could've been better). However, I was most turned off by the fact that they were not upfront about the charges, namely 1) even though it's BYOB, there's a $5 service charge per person for those who drink; 2) although we were just 3 people and not a party of 5 or greater, they charged us 18% tip automatically; 3) and they only offer bottled water, the cheapest of which cost $2. It's $15 per hookah and $5 per person sharing, so with our group of 3, we paid $25 ($15 + 2 x $5). I'd only recommend this place if you have money to burn -- or smoke, in this case.

This place is awesome. The hours are great for when you are aimlessly driving and want somewhere to just chill. I would for sure recommend to a friend.

Great place to lay back and relax while escaping with friends. This place is BYOB so it might be nice for weekends if you choose. The decor is nice but the only thing that needs improvement is the lighting. It seems poor and just blah... The place is nice and a bit of tasteful light over the tables would do the trick. Would go here again.

This place is great if you are loud, obnoxious, have plenty of cash, into techno music, and know the staff really well. I went with four other friends and it was kinda busy. We weren't very satisfied with waiting over 30 minutes for our waters. I have noticed that in order to get good service you would have to know the people working there. Then it was also pretty loud with the clubbing music and all the other really loud patrons. I do have to say the quality of the hookah was great. I did not care for the rambunctious atmosphere and the waitress who demanded a double tip.

I was invited to a surprise birthday party here. Didn't know what kind of place it was nor have I heard of it. Evelyn was taking care of us. She was amazing! Tim the manager was great as well! I don't smoke but it was a byob place also, so I had my own drinks. Evelyn kept checking on us to the point where we were like wow, are we in the V.I.P. Section! Bottom line, If I liked smoking, I would hang out here. Very nice place and staff!

Love this place. Very spacious out of all the hookah lounges I have ever went to. All the sections are separated enough to have some privacy from the other sections. They have big comfy couches and lazy boys, flat screens everywhere and very friendly service. This place is very very chilled. I recommend this place with groups of friends who want relax and/or catch up.

Went for the first time tonight with a friend and actually had a pretty good time. It was the first time I tried hookah and it was definitely an experience. The place is BYOB which is what many of the people in the lounge did but they also have drinks available. The price is pretty moderate and the owner and staff were really nice. You normally need a reservation on Fridays and Saturdays but the owner was nice enough to let us stay because another group was leaving. All in all, I had a great time and will definitely go back and bring more friends with me.

Wow, Where do I start?! I recently came in about 2 weeks ago and I am instantly a regular customer, going about once or twice a week. The staff is friendly and prompt with orders and checking up on you. The flavors are awesome and the manager or owner, im not exactly sure whom he was gave us a hookah experience never to forget the first time we were there! Atmosphere is relaxing but interesting at the same time. LOVE IT!

Kush is the best hookah lounge! The waitress Marianne is awesome, she treats you like you are family when you are there. The owner cares a lot about the quality of the hookah and won't accept an unsatisfactory smoke. I go here all the time with all of my friends and they all love the experience. We even went twice in one night as they are open late.

it is interesting that people who left negative reviews are those who came in by crowds (party of 4+) and were looking for cheap place. well, all the BOYB places i have been so far charge the "uncorking" (or whatever it is called) fee, so Kush has not introduced anything new with it. As for $15 hookas - they are totally worth it (and even people with negative reviews agreed that hookas were awesome). I come here either by myself of with small parties (2,3), so i can not comment on how the 4+ crowds are treated, but i can tell that it is an awesome place to relax by yourself or in a cosy company. Couches are extra comfy, hookas are amazing, and music is not loud, not too trance-ish (so you would not fall asleep), and not a-la alternative rock that makes you think about each word in the lyrics. This place is a get-away from crowds where you can treat yourself with a nice hookah and a drink if you brought one, and not be bothered by annoying staff (the staff here is friendly, yet quiet). I am a fan, and come here regularly. I would not call this place expensive, but it is surely not extra cheap.

Love couches, so comfy... And music is also always nice. The closest hookah for northern suburbs. Flavors choice is good and employees are friendly. Definitely yes, if you like lounge atmosphere and hookah

my friends and I have gone to Kush about 4-5 times and have enjoyed the place every time we went.

Went back last night with a few friends and as always enjoyed my time. I would like to mention for everyone to try the Zootem mix. Most amazing flavor I have ever had.

Cheers.

The worst hookah bar I ever been. They charge extra $5 for each additional person and the hookah are not really good. The pittas and hummus they just brought in a package , like we bought it from the store . Servers are not really friendly . I wouldn't not advice you to go there

Hookah taste ok, but our bill for four people, two of which were not even smoking totaled out to be $45, which I would say is absurd. I would rather drive the distance to go somewhere better and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Terrible place. Hookah is bad and they gave us different flavor. And prices are too high. 5$ for each person? Really? 15$ hookah only for one person. I'll never come back here again! And they included tips already . Maybe I'm gonna like the waitress ! Thank you

This place is trash!!!! The previous owner was much respectful .. If your were a hat they consider you a gang banger Lmaoo this place is ridiculous not like their hookahs any better...

Love couches, so comfy... And music is also always nice. The closest hookah for northern suburbs. Flavors choice is good and employees are friendly. Definitely yes, if you like lounge atmosphere and hookah

The worst hookah bar I ever been. They charge extra $5 for each additional person and the hookah are not really good. The pittas and hummus they just brought in a package , like we bought it from the store . Servers are not really friendly . I wouldn't not advice you to go there

    (2)
  • Alex J.

Owned by a A...hole...

my friends and I have gone to Kush about 4-5 times and have enjoyed the place every time we went.

  • Tiffany S.

  • Paul E.
