The pizza is "PHENOMENAL!!!" The best part is, due to the new non-smoking law, NOW you can enjoy it THERE as opposed to requiring carry-out from the air pollution. Previously, a person could get asphyxiated inside and couldn't wear good clothes without ruining them from smoker-stench fallout! New television screens almost compensate for the predominantly HORRIBLE bartenders! For years now the staff behind the bar has consisted of 3 less-than-desirable choices whom couldn't fake enthusiasm on their best day and 1 semi-cute and fairly attentive girl whom It seems no longer works there......go figure. The aforementioned 3 consists of the owners son who is a minimally attentive, lazy beer-bellied bore, a masculine stone faced girl? who moves at a snails pace without ever smiling, and finally, a loathesome, prune-faced tomboy who meanders aimlessly without noticing empty glasses or bottles awaiting refill. All of them are guilty of gravitating toward one end of the bar to socialize with the few familiars who can be found on any given night. Nevertheless, if you can tolerate them, the place is worthy of a visit for the pizza, sports and over-priced drinks. The crowd is a pretty consistent bunch of reasonably behaved working class folks successfully escaping routine inside the tinted glass windows of a low-lit, glorified shot 'n beer joint. An additional offering is a lottery machine which vends enough scratch off tickets to bankrupt any and all interested patrons. Enjoy it sometime.............if the bartenders manage to let you.

This place has a small bar type atmosphere though it is quite large inside. A group if us went late on a Sunday evening after a long day of work. Pizza was amazing. Had a family size sausage and pepperoni as well as a family size everything special. We also started with two baskets of cheese and nachos. There were 7 of us many with big appetites and we were stuffed (nachos were great also. Fresh chips and cheese). Note: there is no wait staff you place food orders at the kitchen and drink orders at the bar. As soon as we sat down a nice guy who was a regular let us know that.

Oak has been a staple in Palatine for a long time, and the pizza is definitely the best in town....but no question it needs work. I would still tell any patron to give it a chance. Even with somewhat unsavory environment, it is inexpensive, pizza is great, and the bartenders are attentive. It is a dive bar with good eats and cheap beer. If the atmosphere freaks you out just order your pizza for pickup.

I love the pizza at Oak Alley. The staff is "quirky". The blonde girl that's there on Saturday nights is fast, friendly and personable! They hired a new girl that we met this past Saturday that was enjoying her first hour of work. Just before we finished our pizza the "bratty jerk" male bartender came in. He's a slug...bothered the girls and was a waste of space. He acted as if he owned the place, waited on only a select few and was a true annoyance. Our bet was that he's the owner's son who can't find a job anywhere else.

Pizza is still good; staff still sucks.

I have been to this place many times. Its always the same. Decent pizza and the staff don't seem to care if you are there or not. This is a local hang out and that's fine. As for others, I would not go. The place needs a serious cleaning. I guarantee if you look up at the ceilings you will have second thoughts about ordering.

Good, friendly old-timers type of bar. Super thin crust pizza at a good price. Has a familiar neighborhood feel, BUT someone should call the health department! The amount of dust CAKED onto the fan blades above the bar and tables is disgusting. The ceiling tiles may have been white at some point, but they are covered in thick, black dust/grease. This place would benefit from closing its doors for two days and a good scrubbing. Would hate to see this establishment close, but the owners really need to clean it up before I will return again.

Staff not friendly. Place sort of dirty. Food is slightly above averaged but priced as though it would be good. Drinks are too expensive for this type of bar. They do have lots of good TV's if you want to watch sports without anyone bothering you.

Why do I come here? To eat cheap thin pizza and play electronic darts and possible catch a game or two. If this isn't a local watering hole, I'm not sure what is. Don't let its strip mall location fool you, inside it looks just like a little hole in the wall out in the middle of nowhere. The pizza is decent but also can take quite a long time. The dart games are fun but tend to fill up fairly quickly and from my last experience, they don't really have a waiting list. The prices are reasonable and the everyone is generally pretty friendly. A lot of Corner Pocket folks make their way over here for some grub in between pool games.

The people that work there have never been very friendly, but I always over looked that because it was the best pizza in town! I gave it two tries recently and unfortunately the pizza was terrible, very greasy. I was told that is is under new management. Off my list.

Pizza is great-the best thin crust around. Oak chips with ranch dressing is addictive. Lots of locals, very chill--beer is sooo cold, just the way it should be. Bartenders could use some personality, but what they are lacking the pizza more than makes up for.

Just an average suburban strip mall bar. This is a sports bar and there is enough seating in here. I guess. The pizza is nothing special and this just seems like a boring place. the better bars in palatine are obviously downtown Palatine.

Limited menu but the pizza is all they need. The service is good and the prices are right.

We are fans of this place because it is comfortable. Nothing fancy, good pizza, fair prices, lots of TVs, etc. Definitely worth a try to see if it your style.

Pizza is great, but most of the staff behind the bar should be replaced. Some of the worst service we have ever seen. The older gentleman was very nice. If he is working you might be ok.

BEST pizza in Palatine hands down!!! This is a great local sports bar they got all new TVs about a year ago, everything's HD. I feel like part of the family every time I walk in there. It's like an old pub you do all the ordering at the bar. Great place to stop to watch the big game or hang out with a group of friends for an evening.

When my wife and I lived in Palatine, this was the place to go to watch baseball games, and get drunk. We loved it because we could walk home from here. The ambience was awesome, just some blue collar folks looking to wallow in their beer mugs and forget about their mortgages.
