Nabuki

Reviews:
Best high quality sushi in the Western suburbs! If you are willing to spend the extra money on fresh, made-to-order rolls, Nabuki is a great choice. The Crunchy roll is my favorite by far. We also loved the unique Red Devil roll, as well as high quality versions of the classics Dragon or Godzilla. One of our guests does not like seaweed, and Nabuki was very accommodating for her special request to make the roll with rice paper instead. Edamame, miso soup, tempura vegetables (that you can order by the piece), and pork dumplings were also good. Great ambience- very light yet modern, perfect for date night or a girls night out on a weeknight. You can also call ahead and pick up sushi to go.
I thoroughly enjoyed Nabuki. The place is small, and loud, but the food and service were outstanding. We tried the Picadilly, the Nabu, and a special roll not on the menu named after a patron at the table next to us..."Peter (forgot the last name)". All were outstanding. They were so fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was awesome. She stopped by often, and offered her opinion on which rolls we would like (she was not wrong on a single one). I'd definitely come back, but might come earlier when it's not as crowded.
Ever since the liquor laws were lifted, real restaurants have been popping up (and often subsequently closing down) at a speedy click. Real estate in Hinsdale is heinously high, so to survive you have to offer something seriously awesome. Nabuki is seriously awesome. The first time we came here we expected Americanized sushi with meh fish at super high prices. Good sushi in the midwest is hard to come by. Nabuki definitely does not do traditional Japanese rolls, but their creations are scrumptious and so excellent. In addition, their bartenders and servers are knowledgable and great at what they do. My boyfriend and I have agreed that if we ever have to hire a bartender for a private party, the ladytender at Nabuki will be our first choice. You must, must order the Ika Salad (squid salad with tart vinegar dressing). It's an amazing take on the traditional. Get it spicy. The specialty rolls are killer. Just tell the server what you like and tell him/her to bring you something good. Works every time. This place is great. If you're in the mood for sushi or even just for a drink, check it out.

Only had delivery but great that they deliver for free during lunch since my husband and I work from home. Great thin crust! Very excited to try all other things on the menu.
First time going to Baldinelli pizza and it won't be my last. I was celebrating my son's birthday party there and Vince was super awesome handling everything for us. Everyone at Baldinelli was sweet and accommodating . Everyone felt comfortable, great service, clean place, and the pizza was fantastic!
We were visiting our new granddaughter at Hinsdale Hospital and were getting a little hungry, but couldn't agree on what to order. Nurse bought in a folder with about a dozen or so menus and we settled on Baldinelli's because of their variety, not expecting much, honestly. We ordered wings for my daughter in law, a meatball sandwich for my wife and pizza for the rest. After about a 40 minute wait, which we were told, the food arrived. We started eating and everyone of us (mostly Italian) looked at each other and agreed that this was REALLY good food...it was still hot and everything was fantastic...wings were not overly sauced...meatball sandwich was huge...my wife ate less than half and the rest of us were able to taste it and loved it. The pizza was super good with a nice thin crust and plenty of toppings. We live over an hour away and have already decided that this place will make a nice roadtrip for some Friday night. Thanks, Baldinelli's...can't wait to come in to the restaurant, because if delivery is this good, sit down will be unbelievable.

I loved the lobster bake sandwich, yep it's $12 but I'd gladly purchase it again! My only suggestion is in regards to service: I handed the young man at the counter my debit card to pay, and he did not hand it back or even gently lay it on the counter. He threw the card on the counter. I'll admit this may be a personal quirk, but in my eyes it's rude. Will I return to Burhop's? More than likely...eh, who knows, but more than likely, yes.
Overpriced. I stopped in here one day while in hinsdale about a month ago... I first went to the wrong building thinking this was at York and ogden... No one said a word to me as I walked in... As another reviewer pointed out absolutely 0 customer service. The place is ok looking being small and inside a strip mall. The two men working obviously has something better to do than address me. The prices were astoundingly high. I ushered myself out the door as quick as I came in. Nothing more than a standard market at best. Maybe they had additional crab meat... More or less the same selection but with an additional 4$ more per pound for everything. For being supposedly fresh, there were a lot of freezers taking up space.
Although pricey , This place has the best quality BY FAR of any local grocery store. You get what you pay for....From the freshest of fish, to the spices and sauces.. I actually bring some of the spices they sell, to my holiday home over seas to WOW my dinner guests. Ireland has some of the nicest ,freshest ,seafood selections, but the spice selection is limited...Thanks to Burhops..I am the gourmet of the area.. I NEVER had a bad piece of fish from the Hinsdale location, and staff is always helpful about "what is the mildest or not too fishy tasting"... Thank you for your help.. Bill F.

I love this place. Everyone is so friendly and I love their tea. They have the best orange chicken and great egg rolls. They have plenty to choose from and are reasonably priced. The place has a nice feel to it and the service is quick. I went here for a birthday dinner one year and the owner came over and made me a little origami heart out of a dollar and did a magic trick. It was really nice. I recommend to anyone looking for good Chinese food that isn't super expensive.
This is our go to restaurant for Chinese. Is it the best? No, but you won't find much better locally and trust me, we looked. Reminds me of the restaurant my family dined at weekly when I was young. This is one of the few places in Hinsdale where they don't take advantage of the location. Prices reasonable and service is exceptional. We have hosted groups here and the quality and service doesn't waiver. Favorite dishes: Vegetarian egg rolls, Szechwan green beans, Orange Beef, Chicken Chow Fun, and Chicken Moo Shu. If you want your food spicy, be sure to tell the waiter. Owner lives in Hinsdale and is in the restaurant regularly.
I tried this place based on the rave reviews I read all over the internet. We ordered three entrees and three appetizers. Everything tasted good, but suddenly I felt stomach cramps and ran to the bathroom. I vomited. I wasn't sure if it was just a fluke, a bug, or what. The other two people I was eating with were fine. Fast forward 3 weeks and the exact same thing happened. I ordered a different entree and different appetizer. My stomach started hurting and I vomited. I give up! I'm not sure what the deal is with this place, but they are two for two in making me sick. This has never happened to me before when eating any other Chinese food. In fact, I love Chinese food and wanted to love this place. But, alas, after getting sick again tonight I quit this place.

Delish breakfast and Michelle is awesome.
Update: I've given the place several chances, and each time had been a complete letdown. My plain scrambled eggs always tasted like peppers or onions, so I suppose it's a good thing I don't have any allergies, but that's something to look out for if you do. But more important than all that is that after my first review an owner (manager? Employee?) Cecelia r. Messaged me with the excuses in the photo. Don't argue with your customers, lady. I don't give a damn about the state the restaurant was in when you bought it (fix it, duh? Or you have no business being open, I mean us this place even up to code? Jeez) or how much it cost you, this obviously isn't about YOU it's about the terrible, over priced food you serve. If you want to serve garbage food, then at least charge a reasonable price.
After 3 visits, I just feel they prefer to see their regulars on Sunday. No warm welcome and as a non-regular, I got the rough treatment. Very tight quarters and they must want you in-out on Sunday. I wasn't sure what I felt like having when I first walked in (15 minutes after they open) and got bombarded by the waitress at first, then ignored. I had to ask multiple times for water and a refill of my commuter coffee mug. Just not worth the half hour drive into Hinsdale, to get ignored and to feel like a nuisance. It wasn't like anyone was waiting to sit in the tight corner booth. The horse shoe counter was full when I left and perhaps it's preferred over the tight booths for 2.

Keeping this short: Good food, haven't been disappointed yet Well-sized menu with plenty of variety. Nicely decorated and clean restaurant, which is always appreciated. Lastly, service is on the slow side, and has been on all occasions that I've been there, regardless of how busy they are. Is it worth returning to? For me, yes.
Our server Maria was amazing. She was extremely helpful and kind. Everything you'd want a server to be. The decor and ambience was perfect. It was a beautiful establishment. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. The group I was with had a carne asada, enchiladas de mole, crepas de tinga and combo #1 which included a tamal, taco, and enchilada. The presentation of the food was nothing impressive and the flavor of all of these dishes was bland. The rice was tasteless, the flour tortillas used were not authentic to the Mexican dishes. Sadly, we didn't enjoy the food. So much so, that I didn't want to take any of my leftovers. Being Mexican and loving Mexican food, I guess I expected an authentic Mexican meal. Although this was not to my standards in sure others based on the reviews loved it. Just wanted to share an honest review from a person that enjoys Authentic Mexican food.
Excellent Mexican food. We got the tacos: steak, chicken and shrimp. They were to die for!!! Loved their margaritas too!!

Atmosphere, staff and beverages very great. Food menu appears to be a work in progress. I am not sure they have a chief in the back. Caprese salad had horizontally cut tomatoes mixed with quartered tomatoes, barely any mozzarella and old or jarred pesto. Olive oil was excellent. Pizza was strange. Crust maybe was gluten free? Chicken sausage... The crust reminded us of boboli or dominoes pre baked then put under the broiler. Not horrible, but we thought they had a wood burning oven? Burger was great, smaller un American size. You have to ask for ketchup. Fries were good. Chicken entrée was un appealing. Salad nicoise was good. We will definitely go back and try the small bites and appetizers as this seems to be their focus. There is no sign outside, so look for the people sitting behind the windows.
4 Star quality food. Why 2 Stars? Value! Visrtro's menu menu is seriously overpriced for a casual family friendly restaurant. It is that, the decor is informal and comfortable, but be on notice, Vistro is an expensive casual restaurant. The appetizer was the House Ham Quesadilla - excellent, certainly large enough to share but at $12 generously priced. Next she had the Pork Milanese, mine was the new item Lamb Merguez Sausage. The Pork Milanese was excellent -polenta and peas very good and a good portion, but nothing to put its value @ $25. The Lamb Sausage was very good but it was a $15 item tops. The pickled asparagus was excellent, the potato salad was not potato salad but diced cold baked potato. The dill was there as was the arugula and both added color but little else. We love Vie and will certainly go back there again - but we will pass on Vistro. Vistro is not Vie light where you are getting Vie imaginaton at a bargain price. We will not return to Vistro - not because the food is not any good, it is - but you can do so much better in the West Suburbs for 15-20% less than what you will get at Vistro.
My husband and I ate at Vistro last Wednesday. We have enjoyed the chef's other restaurant's in the area. Namely, Vie and J. Parker Roof Top. The decor was interesting, I enjoyed the look of the restaurant although a bit too brightly lit. I did not care for the TV in the main area, perhaps there needed to be a bit more of a line of demarcation between the two area's. The food was very good but not superior. I enjoyed my Kale Salad and Brussel Sprouts. Our Tuna rare was good enough but not great. It appeared that the restaurant was attracting mostly women out for a Wednesday night. Maybe we will come back for a lunch versus dinner. On an ending positive note our server was very friendly and accommodating.
