Snuggery Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Atmosphere is good - seems like a great place to watch a game. Specials are good, drinks reasonable The menu looks great, lots of unique options Service was good, our server made good, honest recommendations and was attentive throughout the meal The only aspect of this place that I wasn't impressed by was the food... Started with wings and pretzel sticks, both were not bad but nothing special. I had the chopped chicken salad for my entree. The salad was big, but it was mostly romaine and not much else. A little chicken, some tomatoes and cucumbers, but I never once tasted the other ingredients that were supposed to be in the salad (avocado, feta, olives) I would come back here for some drinks on the patio or to watch a game, but I wouldn't come just for the food.

Upon entering, I requested a Guinness. The waiter discouraged me from doing so as they planned to stop serving in 20 minutes. He stated he'd send someone out, though despite there being 4 servers for 10 customers, nobody came for 15 minutes. From what I observed, when you throw a pile of money at a business then have a pile of 21 year olds run it without guidance, this is what you get.

Had so much fun last night!! The DJ was unreal!! My bar tab was reasonable.. Which made me very happy this morning! Love this bar!!! Will be back!!

The place looks a lot nicer than when it was Charlie's. The staff was real friendly and they have dramatically improved this location although it is a corporate bar now.

My husband and I decided to stop by the Snuggery on our way home from work for dinner. The atmosphere of the bar is nice. Some of the tables are cramped together, but nothing horrible. We were both impressed with the food we ordered. I had the rib nachos and my husband had the tenderloin risotto. We would both order those items again. The only reason I can't give 5 stars was the service. Our server was particularly bad. She had no idea what the specials were when we asked and came back 5 minutes later with a copied paper that had the specials listed (she didn't bother to read them). We asked for a couple minutes to order but it turned into about 15 minutes. When we did get our food, our server was nowhere to be found and we didn't have silverware. So, we couldn't eat for the first few minutes until we flagged down what appeared to be the manager. He couldn't be bothered to get us silverware himself, of course, but he did find our server. If the food hadn't been so good we wouldn't give this place another try. But, it was delicious, so we'll probably go back again and see if the service is any better.

Nice drink specials! My girlfriends and I love Thursday evenings 1/2 off appetizers. The food and drinks are decent, but can get pricey on weekends. Our tab was much higher on Friday, as opposed to Thursday. Quick service. Friendly staff.. Cute girls. Our favorite bartender is Sammy. She's by far the best!! Spacious layout. Cool, calm atmosphere and decor. Dancing and music at the upstairs bar on Fri and Sat nights are nice. Downstairs is more family oriented during the weekday. The music is PG13 when the sun's out, ha. Nice patio area for outside dining. Good times, every time! Will continue coming here, definitely recommending

I'm not going to knock a place for moving the entrance.. but I will say that the service was far below acceptable. Refills were few and far between, soup that was ordered never came, and didn't get parts for the appetizers until the app was finished. Food was also average at best. It's a shame too because they have a great beer garden and have really fixed up the inside.

Great every time I visit, great food, great prices and always great service. I have to say I am newer to the area and this is my favorite place to a relaxing take your mind off things kind of place. I'm sure it gets fun and crazy in the evening but I'm a happy hour person and it's my number 1 choice for happy hour! Sunday's are great for bloody Mary's

Met a few friends here last night- we each had a couple (seriously, two each) beers and split the queso and chips appetizer, which was fine. I hadn't eaten dinner, so I ordered the sliders off the appetizer menu. Big mistake. Within ten minutes of eating them, I was violently vomiting in the Snuggery bathroom. This kept up until all traces of the sliders had ejected from my body, at which point I was exhausted, but felt much better. Food poisoning?!! I will NEVER return here. Pints is a better place anyways.

Nice little sports bar. Nice outdoor patio and good sliders. Don't go there very often but love the patio when I do go.

Just finished a delicious dinner on the patio. The pulled pork is outstanding! Serving is huge! Our server Kayla recommended and she was right on. This is a new menu option. Worth coming in for. Kayla was pleasant and efficient. Timely with drinks and check ins. Overall very good experience.

Very rude, inattentive bartender New Year's Eve early afternoon. It was hard to be served at all. We actually had to ask where she was. I don't plan on going back. Very poor service.

Horr-i-bile. Servers are understaffed. Our last try was , well, our last. Grossly u dear cooked burger, pretty much just seared on either side with wilted lettuce, the top end of the tomato (seriously) actually served as the tomato slice. Waited and waited for the waitress to return to our table. Finally found her at the bar. Brought my plate to her and she was horrified. I asked her to please ask the chef to make a new burger, cooked would be nice, and please ask him to not just nuke this one. 20 minutes later, out came a nuked burger with the lettuce and tomato nuked as well. Seriously? The waitress returned. We toldher we understand it was not her fault and she said she would send the manager right over. Neverrrrr came. We left. Yep. We did. Up and walked out. The burger is probably still sitting there. College kids do like the bar after 10pm

What a great atmosphere and a great lunch option! At $7.99 for a half sandwich, soup, and (this is the kicker) a beverage included! I had the tomato basil bisque soup, which was delicious and the two small pork sliders - great. The only complaint I have I that the bbq sauce was way too sweat and smoky. I'd say if they would swap out the sauce with Sweet Baby Ray's this is a deal that can't be beat! As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Yelp!

I frequently visit the snuggery only to see their downstairs barback, the sexiest employee by far... tall dark and handsome with a luscious head of hair. I make sure to rain tips on him all night to improve my chances of getting his number, he is also a much better and quicker bartender than the actual bartenders.

  • Stephan D.

worst place ever. Worst customer service ever. We were a group over 50 ppl and we all left.

    (1)
  • Jessica F.

This place was horrible! I am so disappointed I have not even received my food yet but it it took 20minutes just to get water!!!! And that took us having to say something (mind you there is only two of us) my first and last time here

    (1)
  • Danny J.

Hate the place, but really wanted to love it. The bartenders suck donkey rear! They think they are dimes, but only amount to 6s. It would be fine if you could Hustle a drink between your cig brakes or humping the bouncers leg! Place will fade in a year tops...

Brutally honest review - appetizers are always great especially on Thursday when they're half off. Drinks are good, pricey but good. My friends and I have not really ventured off of the appetizer list too much (I repeat pricey) the chicken dinner is a hit or miss, guess it depends on the cook. Staff - honestly, the only friendly /attentive bartender in the entire establishment that my friends and I have run into so far was Sammy. All the other girls seem to either be high off of too much bleach from their hair or completely uninterested in doing their job. Most are incredibly rude, and won't acknowledge you unless if you're a dude who they think is going to tip them for being eye candy (lol?) crowd is eh, either a bunch of young people looking to get laid or older married men looking to do the same, sprinkled with the occasional family with kids. Sometimes it's annoying and you just want to leave, but it's decent overall.

    (4)
  • Rachel O.

Horrific service and extremely rude staff. Sat at my table for 20 minutes before I had to ask for a waitress. Then an unbelievably rude girl "waited" on us. She actually asked us to close out our tab right after placing our order because she was leaving and we could just find someone else if we wanted anything else. I've worked in food service for years and that is not okay to do. The nugs and curds are awesome and that's really my only plus.

  • Eric B.

Went to the Snuggery recently for snacks after shopping in downtown Elmhurst. We ate appetizers. I had the Buffalo wings which were a very pleasant surprise - really good. I didn't expect anything more than just a light filler but instead got a bunch of really large wings that weren't in the least bit dry, unlike wings I've gotten at other places.

    (4)
  • B H.

Meh, it is what it is. The crowd tends to be anywhere from early 20's to early/mid 30's on a weekend night. The upstairs area is more of a dance/club type atmosphere while downstairs is more of your casual/sports bar setting. The food is decent and the service is hit or miss. Prices are about what you'd expect given the area.

  • brian C.

The service is atrocious . Hipster douche bartenders that don't like to work. Looking forward to the next place that goes in there because it's a good room.

I am a local and have been coming here many times, sometimes with the family and sometimes with the boys... giving a restaurant 2 stars based on service might seem harsh but its simply doesnt get any better with time.. worse actually... wife and I had a couple of hours for dinner yesterday and thats about how long it took to get drinks. We sat outside with the dog(big plus actully) and it took the waitress 15 minutes before she even came to the table... 15 minutes later she comes back with the wifes wine but my beer turns out is out of stock... 10 minutes later I am at the bar ordering a corona when she says oh I just put your beer order in wtf its a slow thursday .... The food is actually very good here .. had the pulled pork. I have been holding back on judging this place but this has happened too many time... Hey management when are you going to read this

    (2)
  • Amy B.

Terrible service...sat at a table for fifteen minutes on a Thursday night and no one asked if we wanted anything.

    (1)
  • Becky H.

I used to love the Thursdays at this place. 1/2 priced apps, 5$ mojitos, and trivia! They screwed us the last Thursday by not informing us the apps were not 1/2 proved anymore and the new bartender didn't know how to make a mojito. If it wasn't for the trivia if never go back. The food is average, the drink deals are slightly above average.

  • Amanda C.

The Mimosa's were awesome!! Waitress was nice, great old Chicago feeling and the fish tacos were delicious. It was raining so I didn't get to sit on the patio but I will return soon. Great place

  • bob q.

Ooops! The Thursday special posted on the website and in the menus was unavailable. Our waitress told us after seating us and allowing us to review the menu that the Thursday half price appetizer was no longer being honored. You would think they should at least remove it from the menu.

  • John G.

So much potential....great location, decent menu and beer selection, beautiful inside bar and outdoor beer garden.... Now the "buts"..... We had dinner in the beer garden and service was below average despite a slow night. The bigger concern was the lack of cleanliness. There was food on the ground and the garbage cans and/or dumpster reeked bad odor. Clean it up Snuggery and you might have something.

Came here to watch some football games with friends. Not a bad place. Smallish number of beers available on tap, but a decent amount of bottles available. The food was OK -- I ordered 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, and I didn't realize that their grilled cheese sandwich was a footlong (think like a hot dog bun, not a square sandwich which is likely what you think of), so when I got my small 6" grilled cheese sandwich, I was a little ... surprised. The sandwich and soup were good though -- nothing that blew me out of the water, but just good. Great service overall -- our waitress was attentitive and provided us with table service throughout the evening. Also, if you want to listen to the sound of a game, request a speaker. Our waitress provided a little speaker that you can tune into one game. Nifty little device and I wish other bars provided them. I'd be OK with returning here in the future. It's a nice central-ish place to meet a group from the city with folks that live in the 'burbs as well.

Let me be the one to say this place is GREAT!! We have always been a fan of their location on the Fox - great food after a long day of boating! - and were SUPER excited when we found out about the new opening here locally. Now. Will mention about the service. Depending on how hungry you are...this can get a little irritating. The location on the Fox has always been a little laid back...more of a comfy, have a drink or two...lounge around atmosphere...rather then boom! here I am...what's your order? Food? Whala! and you're on your way! The reason we keep going back to the Snuggy is for their food. Some of the best homemade Chicken around! And that's no exaggeration!! Their food has always been spot on, delicious and very reasonable! And it's always been a cute little place to grab a beer. Their new Elmhurst location follows suit. Service that is a little on the slower end, but once we settled...and had beer...all was once good in the world! Food was spot on! Delicious! Started with their Fried Shrimp Appitizer - Yummy! Then dug into their Fried Chicken Sammie - AWESOME! - Even my Husband's Total Package was delicious! Yes, know how that sounds! But burger lovers must check this one out!! Love that they offer great drink specials and have dancing! Have always wanted to hit the Fox location up after dark - never was in the area - gives me that chance for cocktailing! Very glad Elmhurst welcomed a fun place like this! A must check out!!

First time here with a few friends. Our server bailed on us to go change clothes to be a "shots" girl (basically dressed more like a hooker) and had to close out our tabs early. So if we wanted more drinks, we would have to get them ourselves. Not a big deal, unless you're dealing with crowds of sweaty college tools to get through to the bar and back. Drinks aren't worth the price either. Want a good bar/restaurant experience? Pints is right down the road.

The worst...I have given Snuggery several chances....NEVER again. Service is horrible...and no one cares...food is just OK but beer is WARM!!!!!! Went in last weekends with several couples...all of us who had bottle beer had warm bottle beer....asked the waitress to have the bartender put some on ice...next round was WARMER:( the Manager came over and asked how things were going and we all told him the beer was warm...he could have cared less

This is a great casual sports bar. Good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. There were lots of TVs and a good crowd, lots of twentysomethings.

Went here for dinner and drinks with my boyfriend. It took about 15 minutes for our waitress to even greet us, but that was okay because it was our first time there and we were exploring the menu and drink specials. We ordered strawberry long islands, which were amazing! I got mahi tacos which were so, so good! I've been craving them ever since! My boyfriend got a huge bbq burger with onion rings on it that he loved. I tried it too and yes, it was delicious! Service throughout our dinner was slow, waitress only came to our table once towards the end. Would be 5 stars if there was better service. Great food and drinks! Better than Pints by far.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Based on my initial experience, I would have given this bar 1 star, but the manager, Tom, turned that all around! Service was very slow even though it wasn't too busy, and most of all, no smile or apologies from the waitress. It felt as if we were bothering her. On my way out of the bar, I mentioned to one of the guys that I was not impressed with the level of service we were approached with. Waiting 20 minutes just to take drink orders and long waits between drink refills and appetizers. Tom, the manager, overheard this and walked over, saying he wanted to hear all about my experience. He seems very eager to make improvements and provide the best possible customer service oriented environment, which is right up my alley. If the service isn't there, neither am I. He had such a positive attitude and was very understanding of the situation. Great manager and with his attitude I know that he will go far! Tom really turned my experience around. My friends and I are already planning on returning next week! Hopefully, he can spread his positive energy and customer service skills among his waitresses!

When comparing this place to oddly popular Silverado's it's basicaly a night and day difference. Snuggery is clean and the food does not taste like it came out of the same greasy microwave. The workers here seem nice and based on their clothing I'd expect them to need to brush off a lot of creeps. Why not tone it down a bit?

    (4)
  • David S.

They promote themselves as a sports bar but have a limited cable package. Showed up here 11/23/14 to watch a Packers game, as well as the Bears game which was broadcast at the same time and was surprised to discover the only have CBS and Fox. Really??? What is management thinking? Walked across street to Pints bar.

Based on my Valentine's Day experience, they are five stars! Woohoo! Mom and I came here after I got home from work for some drinks and appetizers. I work at a flower shop, so we didn't actually get here til about 8 pm. It was a long day. We each got one of their mixed drinks, both were good. I liked my spiked arnold palmer (forgot the actual name). We put in our order for the Szechwan Calamari and Tilapia special. Our bartender was super friendly and pretty quick. After ordering, Mom and I were just talking, when suddenly our bartender came over with two more drinks! For free! Because another couple didn't want them. So she gave them to us to make sure they didn't go to waste. They were yummy, strawberry three olives and sprite. We got our food and it was delicious. The calamari was awesome, I wanted to get another order. And the fish was really good too. It came on a bed of ratatouille and was really light and tasty. The GM even came over to chat for a few minutes, he's really nice and you can tell he cares about the restaurant. Overall, the Snuggery has really surprised me and I feel comfortable giving them 5 stars based on my visits.

For another round of the redundant overcast skies, frozen temps, slushy, freezing dirty-gray concrete, Snuggery's lively/smiley lunch crowd, decorative walls and the Olympic Games on TV, held promise of a good day and a good meal - which it was. Don't find broasted chicken very often and theirs was the best by far. PERFECT, with not a hint of grease, sodium or freezer burn. At $11.99, it's a 1/2 chicken of succulent splendor. This meal rivals all others and wins the coveted prize. A nice side salad that's loaded with a mixture of fresh garden lettuces, tomatoes, cucumbers & croutons. Same for the jalapeno slaw (a bit spicy, albeit delicious) and decent mashed potatoes. Service with a smile and attentive as any bar restaurant can possibly be. Mateusz made sure our drinks were replenished throughout our meal. In fact, better service than is often received at other establishments offering an extra zero to the end of your bill. We were stuffed, but wanted to try the fantastic smores crepe. So glad we did.

Nine dollars for a fucking shot of maple Crown Royal?!? Atmosphere is nice. The bartenders were pleasant. Im just not into paying $9 a shot for a bottle of booze that costs $22. Then again it WAS on the rocks. Maybe the ice cubes were an extra $4.50.

We went there for dinner on New Year's Eve. It wasn't busy at all, there were a few big groups, but the place wasn't packed by any means. I'd even say it was kind of dead at that point. The food was good. No complaints there, and I'd say the food didn't take super long to come, but the service overall that night was not good. There were a few people, myself included who were wanting to order more drinks and our waitress couldn't be found. We had to put in the order with another waitress, some people didn't have silverware or napkins, some got the wrong order, soup and salad was brought out with the main dishes, we hardly ever got checked on and someone in my party looked over at our waitress and she was taking "selfies" on her phone. All glammed up for NYE, ya know? Overall, I wouldn't not go back. It wasn't a terrible experience by any means, but I wouldn't rush to go back or pick that place out of other options. There was nothing special about it, and we weren't well taken care of. Side note that isn't Snuggey's fault but more Elmhurst: WHAT is with the lack of snow removal??? I was downtown at Pints the next day when snow was everywhere, and we could barely drive on the street by the parking garage...snow was so deep cars could get stuck. It was never plowed, people were shoveling the sidewalks, and I saw a guy trying to snowblow the street. What??! Not cool.

I was incredibly disappointed with my first visit to the snuggery. We were one of a few tables on the patio on Easter Sunday around 7 pm. Took over 20 minutes for our drinks to be delivered. Actually they only arrived after we went into the bar (which was empty to inquire about our order). The next drink ordered also took a significant amount of time to be delivered. When we asked about our order, our waitress told us "the bartender is not making the drinks"....and then proceeded to talk about how disappointed she was in his behavior and she doesn't know what to do. It was incredibly inappropriate and frustrating. Not sure I will be back.

Just a sports bar. Food was mediocre. One star due to slow inattentive service. Also we sat on the patio in back....just okay....and we saw the waiters going out to the dumpsters on the west side of the patio wall to smoke...nice huh smoking at the dumpsters then coming back and NOT washing their hands at the station the place has outside and picking up our food. So not right we will not be back. How the neighbors deal with the noise and nuisance I have NO IDEA but Snuggery is NOT a neighborhood gem too bad dowtown Elmhurst

This review is based on customer service aka management. I was thoroughly disappointed with this place. I was happy to have a night out, but coming here completely killed the vibe of my night. I don't think there's anything more important than customer service at any business establishment and so even though I didn't try the food, I would never want to go back and try it after my experience. If I go to a place and the food is terrible, but the customer service is good or great, I'll still come back and give it another shot. I don't mind mediocre food, because I'm just happy to be out when I'm out, so I'm not picky about that sort of thing. When I go out with friends, I don't care what I'm eating, I'm just happy to see friends and have a good time. If service is good, then I'm happy to support local small businesses whenever I can. If you go to the Snuggery, be prepared for a bunch of frowning, rude, snobbish, unfriendly and inattentive servers who feel that they should get a tip based off of their skin tight, cleavage-baring shirts, short shorts, and makeup. Newsflash, it takes more than good looks or being eye candy to make people enjoy themselves. Servers/bartenders are supposed to work for tips and at least try to pretend occasionally that they like their jobs or give an occasional smile. Would it kill you to smile once in awhile?? I don't need a bunch of frills and chatter, I'm just talking some simple, polite people skills and earning your tips, not just expecting it. That's something that everybody can appreciate, but when you roll your eyes and gossip with your co-workers instead of putting any effort whatsoever into serving, then I'm not interested in your establishment. Again, I wasn't expecting some conversation, but just basic people skills. To top the night off, as we were leaving for the night, which finally made me happy, the doorman at the upstairs exit told my friends that we had to keep moving, so as not to block the door I think he said. We were nowhere near the door when he said that to us. We were off to the side, not blocking anything and we were just talking amongst ourselves. There were other people in the exact same spot too. So, I'm not sure why we got singled out, when there were other people that didn't get told that. We had literally just walked out the door and commented to each other, "That fresh air feels good," when the power-tripping door guy told us to keep moving. Needless to say, I was done and just wanted to go home. This place could be great if the management prioritized the most important thing imo, which is customer service. I love bar-hopping and mixing it up and I was psyched that they had a dance club upstairs, but the music was all bass and super annoying and I love dance music. But, this was a cross between rap and techno, which is not a good sound and impossible to dance to. Perhaps, the djs change styles throughout the night, but I couldn't stand to stick around and find out after at least an hour straight of that same stuff. Sadly, I think maybe the manager(s) feels that having eye candy supersedes everything else. Hopefully, for their sake, they are just working through some kinks, because this place has potential. I just would much rather go somewhere, where it is evident that management emphasizes the right thing and have pleasant, attentive servers.

OK, so I feel bad, but I gotta be honest. This place just opened last night, and we went there last night, and again tonight.... Last night, first impression was "I love this place" Great atmosphere, especially the outside tables. Prices are so-so... To give you an idea, my bf and I each had two drinks, and we ordered an app (wisconsin cheese curds) and one entree (steak salad) - total was about $50 before tip. Drinks were good, and the cheesecurds were good, although VERY few in number. The salad, well, leaves a lot to be desired, to say the least. Steak was good, but minimal, as was the lettuce, surprisingly. LOTS of onions and radishes, but little actual salad. OK, so pretty much as to be expected. As far as I've always known, the Snuggery is more a place to drink and eventually ordered greasy bar food. Not exactly a 5-star-white-tablecloth kind of place.... So we went back tonight (since there arent a lot of choices for places to sit outside in DT elmhurst)... Again, LOVE the atmosphere, great place in the shade, comfortable chairs, good service, friendly staff. But to be honest - the food was just plain awful. And I am NOT a picky eater... at ALL. Very disappointing because I love the atmosphere of the place and the ppl are friendly and being able to sit outside on a beautiful summer night is amazing. But the food is so bad, I doubt I will be back. Management was very nice and seemed receptive to honest feedback, so Im hoping this place gets better. I'd hate to end up having to go back across the street, where the food is good, but the service sucks!! Also hoping this place gets some big screens outside, so I have a place to watch the games. I truly wish these guys the best because DT Elmhurst needs them!! They got everything else right, just need to improve the quality of food! Only time will tell!

Agree with most of the reviews. Service continues to be well below par. How hard is it to simply be friendly and create a positive atmosphere. Food was good. Atmosphere is good Unfortunately done with this place. Pints is much better

Ready for some constructive criticism Snuggery? As a disclaimer, I did come on your first night of opening. BUT, since you are owned by a medium-sized restaurant operator I guess I expected more, seeing as how you've done this opening thing before. First, the ladies upstairs can make drinks. Have them teach whoever was at the downstairs bar how to do so. A mojito is supposed to have the mint muddled, not in solid untouched leaves, with too much carbonated water. I ended up having to muddle with a straw. Second, I'm sure the wait staff will become more familiar with the menu as time goes by. We had to ask for things that were supposed to come with our meal according to the menu (sides, sauces, etc). Third, some of your food tastes good and some of it not so good. I realize you are a bar, but there is another chain bar less than 15 yards away that does have tasty food and this is Elmhurst. Im sure you did a demographic analysis (again, because you have been in this business for awhile) and you know most of your patrons will actually want food. Fourth, you've got some good kids as wait staff. Support them, I can tell they are trying hard. And the place looks great, you did a great remodel! Overall, welcome to the neighborhood and I agree with Courtney M. - Elmhurst needs you so step it up!

I'm skeptical of any business that occupies this space. Hated the previous Charlie's and I don't even know if Embers (sp?) opened. Anyhow, Snuggery is a chain so I figured it had to be decent, and it was. We sat on the patio, our service was fair and our food, average. I was a fan of the patio as there aren't a ton of those in the area, at least as big as this one was. Seems like it could be a good place to catch a game and throw back a beer.

Came here for a birthday dinner... Liked the look of the place, was not excited about sitting in folding chairs however. We were a party of 8, which I understand can be sort of hard to seat. Waitress, blond 20 something, was very nice, helpful, tentative, and apologetic when they ran out of mahi mahi and pork chops. Appetizers... The braised rib tip nachos were delicious, lots of toppings. The pretzel stix were are good, pretzels were warm, had just enough salt, and the cheese sauce had a nice kick of spice. Guacamole had a good flavor, liked that is was accompanied by a salsa and salsa verde. The hummus was smooth and flavorful, warm pita was a definite plus. Entrees... I personally had the chicken strawberry salad. The salad was good, chicken was hot and fresh, mandarins were squishy, strawberries were fresh, kinda skimpy on the walnuts, very little dressing, and didn't really care for the bread roll on the side. Brother had the black and blue burger, said he really liked the flavors and would order it again. Another brother had the widow maker (onion ring/bacon/avocado) burger and really enjoyed all the flavors in the burger. Others with us ordered the crab salad sandwich, said it was cheesy and like the tomato soup to dip it in. Two others order entree salads, nothing really to add on those. Dessert: What I was most excited to have... Campfire s'mores crepe. Yes it sound delicious but there was work to be done with this. The crepe was warmed? However the marshmallows and chocolate were not melted inside, cool whip on the side versus real whip cream and the teddy grahams were a good idea, but underutilized. Service was pretty quick, not a lot of problems like I read in prior yelps. Would go back for half price apps on Thursday night, but not necessarily for dinner again.

Service can be a tad iffy, but food and atmosphere make up for that. Decent specials and plenty of TV's to watch any game. They will continue to get my business.

Place is pretty average. I guess its worth checking out once. I went with some buddies after a round of golf. The place was pretty busy, however service was quick. We did sit at the bar though, so that may be why. Beers are cold and the menu is huge. The menu is actually one thing this place has over Pints. Like some others have mentioned, Snuggery is a decent place to throw back some cold ones, but not worth seeking out.

I liked the atmosphere! Sat at the bar on an early Saturday night. I had the burger with pepper jack cheese and homemade chips. It was awesome! Soft buttery bun and the burger was juicy. I would definetly go again for a burger and a bucket of beers.

Great place, good/average service/ bad food. We have been here a couple times, and we were there for the grand opening. We hoped the bad food was party due to the grand opening as it was packed! We had gone to Pints across the way, which has good food but bad service so we hoped this would be the best combo. First off the patio is awesome, and large. Refreshing concept in the Midwest, as I am used to eating outdoors on the West coast. For some reason there are very few places with a legit beer garden, but that may be due to red tape...an Illinois staple. Anyway, we were seated promptly, and our seat was well shaded. I would like the music to be a little louder to drown out the conversations of the table next to me and the kids.....yes, people brought young kids to a beer garden! We ordered martinis, and had some beer on tap. Both were excellent. We ordered cheese curds and the order was small and pretty greasy. Then we ordered a Steak salad and it was unimpressive. Full of radishes, and not very good at all....how about some greens with that salad? The server was nice, and you could tell they were inexperienced, but they tried, and that is all I can ask for. The second time we went, I had the Grilled Cheese /cheeseburger with fries. I was hoping for more, but a couple pieces of cheap white bread with a burger in the middle and some greasy fries was not as good as you would get at McDonalds.(really I said that). We also had a chicken lettuce wraps, and it was almost like dogfood. We talked to the manager, and showed him the meat which was low grade fatty dark meet boiled and thrown on a plate. We also noticed the woman next to us with the same order and she had the same experience.....the manager did remove the cost from our bill. We left and went to McDonalds for some higher quality food, as we couldn't fill up on the food at Snuggery. The overall vibe of the place is great though. Two large bars, and a large beer garden. It is obvious this place is geared toward the younger to middle aged drinking crowd, and there are a few cougars and DOMS that you would expect in an upscale area. I am sure food was a second thought, but if they created a new menu and fired their entire cooking staff they could do well as an eating establishment before the college kids move in after dark. I really want the food to be better here......then I would probably go there quite a bit...as I am sure most who eat there would agree.

So we decided to go here for some football and walked in and there were tvs everywhere... Awesome!!! Sit at the bar and waited 10 mins for the bartender to come over and chat. Keep in mind the bar was not busy at all there may have been 10 tables total and 5-6 people at the bar. I ordered the antipasto bloody mary which was AMAZING!!!! and had ordered the total package!!!! AMAZING as well.. but the service actually kind of sucked.. I did get a free shot for it being my birthday, and that bartender was pretty cool.... but she was done with her shift and it switched to another bartender and she had a hard time telling her left from right... The bar backs there were awesome they sat there and talked with us and made the visit fun... overall I will say that it's an above average place, but if you want to sit there and just wait for service it would be the place for you.. I was done with my beer and ready to go home and it took almost 30 mins before my girlfriend said... HEEEEELLLLOOOO to the bartender to close out our tab... I will go there again however I think I will steer clear of the bar...

Gave them a shot Friday evening - sat out on patio because the weather was nice and they only had high top tables inside - after 20 minutes of watching waiters walk by like we were invisible, my wife was ready to leave but I went up and asked hostess if we were seated in no man's zone - her response was a brain dead "no one's taken your order yet?" - luckily a manager (Tom) heard me and stepped in to address the situation - he took our order (along with that of another couple who had been similarly ignored by the useless servers) and things proceeded quickly after that - he personally made our drinks (terrific black cherry mojitos) and the food arrived fairly quickly and was excellent (steak sliders, guacamole, cheese curds, and buffalo drumsticks) - he replaced a couple of waitresses who were incapable of more than one thought or action at a time and overall things improved - another manager also quickly shut down some annoying "legend in his own mind - still living at home with mama" moron talking at the top of his lungs dropping Fbombs every other word trying to impress a couple of drunk chicks, so that was nice - Tom also comped our drinks so I give mgmt big kudos for doing all they could to fix the situation and so we'll be back

My girls and I came here for dinner on a week night. We got a good spot by the windows at a tall top and had a super nice server. The food was ok. I am not in love with this place and am not sure the set-up is made for anything more than a weekend gathering or a short beer while watching a game. Nothing bad, but nothing worth passing up other places I haven't tried for.

Glad there is a decent bar here again! Fantastic front/back patio. Agree with other reviewers that the concept of the front door being the former back door is a bit odd. Some great craft brews on tap! I had Lagunitas Little Sumthin Sumthin. $5 for a pint. The food is meh. No vegetarian options and the fries are kind of "eh" as well. Maybe they need to be a little crispier or seasoned differently?? Not a fan of the cheese curd appetizer either. The campfire smores dessert crepe with teddy grahams was pretty clever and yummy! Nice big bar inside with lots of seating. Cool hangout with good brews and drink specials. Considering that they are trying to do upscale bar food, the food really needs to be improved. Shout out to our fast and friendly server Joanna! Great service with a smile!!

If I had to break this down: Food- 4 Stars Ambiance/Crowd: 3 Stars Drinks: 4 Stars Service: 3.5 Stars (Getting real picky about the service). Okay-I'm barely going to talk about the food because it's pretty great. Had guacamole and chorizo cheese for appetizers (with delicious home made chips), an El Diablo burger and a Widow Maker burger (we're awful vegetarians sometimes), and multiple drinks. Service, well, there's a minus. Waitress was fine, real nice...kinda strange, but still nice. One thing I was pretty upset about though was I ordered a Mai Tai and got a Mojito twice. So, I wanted two Mai Tais and got two Mojitos. Erm...well, my server and I had a long conversation about how she liked the Mai Tais and how I wanted to try one...? Oh well, I guess it happens. The Mojitos were pretty good nonetheless. Ambiance was okay. Much older crowd than I expected. I'm young and thought that there might be more young people there. Unfortunately, not so much. Sorry old folks, just not used to being the youngest person in a bar. Otherwise, pretty good. I will be back...maybe not JUST for drinks but definitely for the food. Food was what sold me on four stars.

Lots of different items on the menu with great daily specials. If you love french onion soup then you definitely have to come here and try or put. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 us because I love restaurants with that one or two menu items that are must haves and pints seem to above average on most of their items. Great place and great atmosphere. Happy hour $3.99 appetizers from 3-6 I believe. Last two times we went in the service was slow, waters don't get refilled

I really like the Snug...not just because of pretty girls, beer specials, and a nice sport bar atmosphere...but they got it right. The food is fantastic, beer is cold and full of value, but most importantly, the guests have priority in their delivery. The staff is dressed to make nice eye candy but they ALL understood the importance that the wife (my wife) are just as important as the 40 something male playing googly eyes at the perty girls. I've been there several times, mostly with my wife, and they paid just as much attention to my wife as they did to me, their target audience. I applaud the Snuggery for their complete service and recommend it to anyone and everyone. Hooter's has nothing on the balance between sexy and service when it comes to serving both ends of a couples night out!

What a disappointment! Wings were ok. Beer served out of cheap plastic mugs. Went there because it stated it was a blackhawks bar. Wanted to watch a game I asks ya, what blackhawks bar doesn't have sound to the game. This one! It sucks. Won't be back.

What. A. Mess. My sister, cousin and I decided to go to Snuggery last night. We were really excited to try a new Elmhurst establishment and were even more excited about the 1/2 priced appetizers and $5 long island iced teas. We were immediately seated at a four person high top which was nice because it was pretty crowded. Things went down hill from there. Our waitress came and took our orders, my sister and cousin both ordered long islands and and we also got an order of the short rib nachos. I wanted to try one of their drinks before making my decision... big mistake. Their drinks came in a reasonable amount of time and so did the nachos. I ordered my drink as soon as they received theirs and did not receive it for at least 15 minutes probably more like 20. The nachos arrived before the drink did. We sat and watched the bartender make the drinks and then proceeded to watch the waitress go to the stand and pick up other people's drinks THREE times. Finally, when she picked up the drink for one of the males at the next table over, ignored mine and delivered his I said something to her. We were literally more than half done with the nachos by the time my drink came. Totally unacceptable. The waitress was clearly more interested in getting flirting with the table of males next to ours than serving us. When I asked her for my drink she spouted some pathetic apologies about "how crazy busy it is". Guess what? Not my problem. It's her job. She was not so busy she could not deliver drinks to everyone else, our table was simply not a priority for her. Things were fine for awhile. Our other appetizer came, mild chicken wings. Both the wings and the nachos were really good and also somewhat unique. I would definitely like to try other menu items here I just don't know if I can stomach another trip to this place. Things took a turn for the worse when my other sister and cousin said they wanted to join us. My sister approached the hostess about moving us to a larger table after our waitress told us we could not add a chair to ours. The hostess then came to our table and said she'd like to move us to a table as soon as a group that was paying their check left, we really appreciated the kind words unfortunately they were empty. (Sidenote: the biggest issue with this bar is that the hostess stand is at the back of the bar and Elmhurst residents are used to entering from the front. It's extremely confusing and became a problem for us.) A group of women came in the front door and took our table. The waitress told us she'd take care of it then came back and said "I guess it's not going to work out". Umm, excuse me? Both you and the hostess promised us we would get the table and you just gave it to someone else? Big downside to having the hostess stand far, far away from where people are actually ENTERING the bar. Normally, I do not write long, ranty reviews like this one but this place has so much potential. It's in a great location. The food is good. They have fabulous specials. However, the waitstaff simply cannot get its act together. Many may make the argument that Snuggery has not been open for long but it is an established company and brand and should be the waitstaff should be far superior to what we experienced last night. Love the food but I doubt I'll be back.

I frequently visit the snuggery only to see their downstairs barback, the sexiest employee by far... tall dark and handsome with a luscious head of hair. I make sure to rain tips on him all night to improve my chances of getting his number, he is also a much better and quicker bartender than the actual bartenders.

Hate the place, but really wanted to love it. The bartenders suck donkey rear! They think they are dimes, but only amount to 6s. It would be fine if you could Hustle a drink between your cig brakes or humping the bouncers leg! Place will fade in a year tops...

Ooops! The Thursday special posted on the website and in the menus was unavailable. Our waitress told us after seating us and allowing us to review the menu that the Thursday half price appetizer was no longer being honored. You would think they should at least remove it from the menu.

This place was horrible! I am so disappointed I have not even received my food yet but it it took 20minutes just to get water!!!! And that took us having to say something (mind you there is only two of us) my first and last time here

What a disappointment! Wings were ok. Beer served out of cheap plastic mugs. Went there because it stated it was a blackhawks bar. Wanted to watch a game I asks ya, what blackhawks bar doesn't have sound to the game. This one! It sucks. Won't be back.

They promote themselves as a sports bar but have a limited cable package. Showed up here 11/23/14 to watch a Packers game, as well as the Bears game which was broadcast at the same time and was surprised to discover the only have CBS and Fox. Really??? What is management thinking? Walked across street to Pints bar.

What. A.

Ooops! The Thursday special posted on the website and in the menus was unavailable. Our waitress told us after seating us and allowing us to review the menu that the Thursday half price appetizer was no longer being honored. You would think they should at least remove it from the menu.

This place was horrible! I am so disappointed I have not even received my food yet but it it took 20minutes just to get water!!!! And that took us having to say something (mind you there is only two of us) my first and last time here

I frequently visit the snuggery only to see their downstairs barback, the sexiest employee by far... tall dark and handsome with a luscious head of hair. I make sure to rain tips on him all night to improve my chances of getting his number, he is also a much better and quicker bartender than the actual bartenders.

Hate the place, but really wanted to love it. The bartenders suck donkey rear! They think they are dimes, but only amount to 6s. It would be fine if you could Hustle a drink between your cig brakes or humping the bouncers leg! Place will fade in a year tops...

Great every time I visit, great food, great prices and always great service. I have to say I am newer to the area and this is my favorite place to a relaxing take your mind off things kind of place.

What. A.

The Saturday special of ribs and chicken was excellent. The outdoor dining is great. Staff was very attentive.

Service can be a tad iffy, but food and atmosphere make up for that. Decent specials and plenty of TV's to watch any game. They will continue to get my business.
