Perfect place to unwind with my girlfriends! Loved the patio setting, too bad there were hungry mosquitoes out and didn't let us enjoy the evening. Lucky for us, there was room available inside and our waiter was very kind in accommodating us. The hummus flight was amazing! And we couldn't get enough of the citrus shrimp. For my entree I had the Grilled Flank Steak which was spot on in taste and seasoning. We all agreed to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Flight 112 has a lot of potential but it definitely fell short of my expectations when we dropped in for dinner. The restaurant is quite large but it felt like they weren't making the best use of their space, the tables were spread out in such a way that it was a little confusing. We decided to sit at the bar, it took the bartender several minutes to even make eye contact and say hi, when she did she said she would bring us some waters which never came. I had wine and my husband had beer and we were both happy with the selection. There was a lot to choose from and the options were all quality choices. We love to eat so we ordered a lot of food. We started with a meat and cheese board that was OK. I really liked the cheeses but some of the meats were a little dry which was disappointing because charcuterie is one of our favorite things. We also ordered the lamb meatballs, grilled cheese panini, and Thai style flank steak. The sweet potato fries that came with the grilled cheese were awesome, we definitely fought over them a little bit. The other items were also just OK, we ate them but they didn't knock our socks off. At 7:30 two guys started playing acoustic music which was really nice. However, until the live music started they were playing 90s and early 2000s pop punk music that just didn't really fit the vibe they seemed to be going for. We didn't have a bad time at Flight 112 but since it isn't super close to where we live we probably won't go back. Maybe give it a try if you live close by.

This place is awesome. Came here on a Saturday evening with a few friends. We had the Red Wine flight and they were all good. Great price for a 3 glass flight. Also had the crab cakes that came with a side of slaw. I am not a slaw fan but it was delish and of course the crab cakes, too. We had pork sliders, again delish. Had the 6 choice cheese and meat plate... was to die for. Goat cheese truffle was outstanding. They also give you warm bread. For our entrees we had the leek Flatbread and flank steak. Both were so tasty. The flank was so juicy and flavorful. .. Definitely will come back again and next time I will save room for dessert. The banana split is calling my name. Totally recommend this place. The staff was friendly, good size restaurant and the place had nice decor.

My wife and I had "dinner" on the patio. First, I want to say that a patio ismore than just a driveway with a wooden fence around it. Second, dinner is a strong word for what passes for the menu here. The wine is overpriced, and the food tasted old. I had the skirt steak salad and the salad was OVERDRESSED, and the steak was undercooked (I asked for medium, and got almost rare). The "Flatbread" pizza was not flatbread, but was probably a boboli pizza crust, I don't know. Overall, I would walk a few feet down the street to almost any other resturant in the area.

I went here for my birthday with friends yesterday. We had a nice separate section and they gave me a free dessert. The whole place is pretty interesting and so is the art. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers, entrees and wine. Service was good too.

Was really underwhelmed by this establishment. Typically any place that boasts "wine bar" has superior food to match. This place did not. Positives: Plenty of wine and adult beverage choices. Parking isn't an issue. The ambiance is nice and cozy. And the wait staff was very friendly. But common, that's not why you go out to eat?! It's to eat tasty food (or at least that's what my angle is ;) A friend of mine and I decided to check this place out. We usually go to the Snuggery (which has awesome food) but we wanted to try something new. We felt like the 'small plates' caught our eyes more that the main courses so we ordered 4 small plates. The waitress told us that's a great idea and lots of the customers do decided to share the little plates. The problem is, each of these tapas cost $6-8 a piece. We ordered four. And honestly, we could have ordered two more. We got the citrus shrimp- it was very good but there were only 3 ?!?! Fingers were almost broken over that last 3rd shrimp. We got the lamb meatballs. They were pretty meh with the out-of-a-can tasting cream of mushroom that acted as the sauce. And again, there were only THREE! The stuffed mushroom was fine... there was only one. The wagyu sliders was the most diplomatic plate as it was fairly distributed (two!). Although, the wagyu was NOT the star of this dish- the start was definitely the fries. There's nothing wrong with these portions specifically, but they were difficult to split and we may have chosen different items if we knew there was only going to be one or even just 3. The non-flour chocolate torte for dessert was better than the entrees... but I would not go out of my way to every have it again. All 4 small plates, one dessert, and 4 glasses of wine and the bill was around $80. I'd go again for a happy-hour type thing, but I'll pass for dinner.

I visited here this afternoon after a trip to the Elmhurst Art Museum. My husband and I arrived shortly after they opened and sat in the bar where there were only 5 other patrons - perfect timing for us to avoid the crowds that I'm sure frequent here at night. Their wine list is extensive and their food is tasty. We had a wine flight, a blueberry beer and both the beef and the pork sliders, both served with sweet potato fries. The sliders were amazing! No BBQ sauce on the pulled pork (huge plus for me) and it was seasoned so well. The Kobe beef sliders were juicy and delicious. Both sliders are served on a pretzel roll. There's plenty of seating here with tables in the back and a lounge area too. We would definitely make a return trip if we're in the area.

I originally had a dinner date with my boyfriend, but my best friend and her husband decided to crash the party, but they only had drinks and an order of crab cakes. Overall, a great time was had by all. My boyfriend and I did the restaurant week menu. We both did the crab cakes, full of crab, full of flavor. I had the grilled flank steak (medium rare), very flavorful and tender. My boyfriend had the drunken chicken, I thought it was going to taste weird with grapes, but they paired so well with the sauce and the potatoes. For dessert, I had the raspberry shortcake, it had a bit of a weird after taste, so it was okay and he had the coffee cake and that was so flavorful. EVERYTHING was delicious (minus my dessert). Josh or Jay, I believe, was our server, he was great, Our meal came with wine, I drank both glasses, he got a tequila flight.

I hosted a small gathering for my sister's 40th bday party & I'd called the restaurant weeks before to ask about the space and was told to just come by. Well, the week passed me by and I never called the restaurant or went by, but I decided not to make too big of a deal about it because I figured my dinner party would change from 20 people to about 10-15. We would have been OK w/a wait. On the way to the restaurant, I was curious as to whether or not I could bring a cake in so I called. Spoke to the Manager, (I forgot his name) and was told it was fine. He also suggested he save a space for my friends and I. JACKPOT! It was music to my ears. When I arrived, they gave me the entire lounge area AND THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME! We DEF enjoyed the food! The Martini's were $5! And The EXTRA bonus was the patio. We really enjoyed being able to spread out a bit more and it's quite peaceful & delightful out there. All in all, several guest left saying they couldn't wait to come back and were thinking of events we could do there in the future. Briann was our waitress and she handled all 20 of us in SUPERB fashion and we REALLLLY ALLL Had a great time! 5 stars Flight 112 and Thank you for helping me celebrate my sister!

Flight 112 has a fun atmosphere. Went here on a Friday evening with a Groupon. They were very nice when making reservations, and the staff was also good to us while we were there. The cheese plate we had was very good. So was the drink I had. I loved the incorporation of the local artist's work. I really liked admiring the art. Even walked around after dinner to look at all of it, and enjoyed free live music coming from the bar area. I would go back to see if new art works appear!

My +1 and I came here to schmooze and after dinner the other night. There was really no one at the front of the house, but once we got inside to the bar/seating area, all was well. It seemed a bit loud at first (TVs), but either we adapted (talking louder/getting more liquored up), or perhaps they turned them down a bit? They had some interesting artwork on the walls that are available for purchase. I enjoyed the piece we sat near, but I didn't exactly have $275 clams for it. :) I was stoked they had Delirium ($10), but dismayed that they didn't carry Stella Artois (what can I say? Creature of habit mostly...). "We have Miller Light," our server offered. Errrr.. Nooo. He asked if I wanted something similar to Stella and brought it out without even telling me what it was or anything. Oookie dokie. I'm not a beer or wine connoisseur by any means, but isn't it kind of standard to at least explain or give a sample? He brought me a Trumer Pils ($5), which I only knew because the glass had "Trumer Pils" on the side, lol. We were given waters, too, which I always appreciate. My +1 enjoyed a few Lil' Sumpin Sumpins (cool name), which our server described as "not very hoppy." IMO, his tasted "hoppier" than my Trumer. Service was not overbearing and appropriately attentive. As the night progressed, I did stop and ask our server what time the bar closed. He said, "We don't really have a set closing time - just sort of whenever people are here until." Err?? (Kind of the oddest thing I've heard, but we kind of shrugged and went on with our conversation.) Around 12:00 he mentioned that there would be a last call and asked if we'd want anything else. The lights all came on at 12:30a and pretty much blinded us and the other 4+ patrons in the bar. Alrighty then; I guess it's time to go. In all it was OK, but in the future I'd want to find a cozier type of bar with staff who was a little more knowledgeable/forthcoming.

Well all right. Came in recently with a friend because she had gotten a coupon in the mail. I don't know if I ever would have made it in otherwise. The space is quite lovely - the entrance seems to have been recently moved and it was a little confusing but I found my way. It's split into a couple of different spaces, one of which is a bar, and then a couple of more private, curtained off dining areas and some other rooms that we did not go and investigate. There is a lot of art from an amazing local artist on the walls and the remaining walls are really nicely painted. We were greeted very promptly by the hostess who also ended up being our server. We think her name was Nicole and she was awesome (and if that was not your name - I apologize but thanks for being awesome either way). I really appreciate enthusiasm and knowledge about the menu and she had both of those things. Very friendly and welcoming on top of it. She is a definite asset! The menu is comprised of smaller plates of various things. They have appetizers and salads and you can build a meat/ cheese board for your starter, if you want to. We were not that hungry so we went straight to the mains - I had the salmon and it was a reasonable portion, cooked exactly as I like it. It was a smidge of butter and it felt very decadent without being a huge amount of food, which is a good thing. For dessert, I tried the apple pie with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream. Again, not a huge portion, which I appreciated, but it was super delicious. Oh - and, since the name is Flight112, yes they do have wine. You can get flights or you can get single glasses. The Fruity White flight had some pretty yummy stuff in it and the amount for the price is very reasonable. They also have a pretty good craft beer list if you are not a wine person. I'm already making plans to go back - it is definitely worth visiting!

We often use OpenTable to find new restaurants, so we saw they were "supposedly" serving till 11pm & made 10pm reservations. We walked in & waited & waited so I finally walked to the bar. Three, THREE bartender/servers were cleaning glasses, looked at us, & continued cleaning. Finally someone (who we weren't even sure was a server? Maybe manager?) saw us and acknowledged us. I told him we had reservations, which surprised him? I asked are you still serving? And he said "we should be"? At this point I was ready to leave, but he said they were & we thought we'd give them a chance. We should have left. We sat at the bar. This mystery person dropped off our menus & said a bartender would be with us. There were three bartenders but it still took a good 15mins before anyone asked our for drinks. We both ordered craft beers. Mine was so foamy that I only got a 1/2 pour at most, and my husband maybe got 3/4. It was clear that we were not wanted. One server windexed nearly to my husband's arm cleaning the bar. No one ever asked how our food was, did we need anything, or BASIC customer service. Instead we watched as they polished glasses...three people, all behind the tiny bar polishing glasses & ignoring us. We heard them complaining about customers, complaining about tips & question each other about some $8.00 cheese that was left out all night, to which we heard, no joke, "you know you can't put that back in the fridge, right?" Ugh. I will compliment to kitchen/chef: our food was excellent. Please find an establishment worthy of your skill, because with the horrid customer service I don't see how they can keep business.

My friend saw this place and wanted to check it out. The entrance is very confusing, they I guess bought the building across from them and made that the main entrance but there is no notice to that. The place is very confusing the layout is like a maze. They sat us by the employee only entrance where employees were coming in and out of which was very disturbing. The door was like three ft away from my chair. We came here on a friday night and it was DEAD. Absolutely dead which was a big red flag for me. The menu is lacking but the wine is way cheaper then DOC Wine Bar in Lombard. That was a plus for me. Other than that is was just ok... i would definitely come back to pick up a bottle wine but not to eat. I wish it was better for i gave it 3 stars because i can pick up wine and leave.

This was my 2nd visit to Flight 112. The first time I came with my husband it was on a Saturday night. It was so busy that we had to sit at the bar. This time I called ahead for a table, but we were there so early in the evening it didn't matter. We were greeted right away, mostly because we were the only ones there. I ordered the Pear Blossom cocktail, and my friend had a vodka & club soda. Her drink was a no brainer, but since I hadn't ordered the Pear Blossom before I didn't know what to expect. It was OK, but missing something because it was as clear as the vodka/soda and in the description there should be a sour mix. I drank/nursed it for a while. By the time my friend ordered her 3rd I ordered another Pear Blossom. This time it came out totally different. I mentioned it to the server and he said that this one was the right drink and that the first drink was made by a new bartender. I told him I thought it didn't taste right. I did finish the first one but I think that I should have gotten a free drink or that first one taken off my bill. That's why I gave 3 stars. It was Lady's night that night but not really sure what that meant. Nice place but they really need to do the right thing for the customer when mistakes are made. The food was really good. Wagyu Slders and Fried Mac & Cheese were the bomb!

We had 5:15 pm reservations on Saturday 1/10/2015 and arrived a few minutes late. No problem! Our hostess sat us down right away and we browsed the menu. I ordered a glass of Moscato and it was delicious! My honey ordered a drink and then we ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, Mac and cheese fritters, hummus plate, and beef sliders! All was so yummy! The only thing was the sliders were under cooked for my taste- should have specified well done! We ended our night with the smores and flourless chocolate cake and that topped off our great night! Groupon hasn't steered is wrong yet and we will be back! Good service and great food!

Went with a friend on a late Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. Prices are reasonable, but maybe a touch on the high side. Nice atmosphere and friendly bartenders. Cute place to start a date night or hang out with girlfriends. Charcuterie options are OK but as with most places like this, a little unoriginal and over priced for what you get. A quick trip to Mariano's or Costco would be cheaper and better. With that said, the bartender accommodated our request to add nuts and honey to the plate, which were great. Definitely try the purple haze! (Which is available at Mariano's! Haha.) Didn't try any other food. The sweet, sweeter, sweetest flight was pretty good. I'd go back to try more flights for sure, but I don't live in the area.

My husband and I came here on a whim since we frequent 20 West and the two are connected (by ownership, I think) and we like the people who work there. The layout is interesting and fun, I like how there are nooks and larger rooms for different parties or experiences - you can sit in a bar, a dining room, a cozy area or a large space. The drinks are reasonably priced - slightly higher for burbs but less than city and you get more in terms of quality and atmosphere. The food is quite pricey. DELICIOUS, but pricey. We ordered a flatbread, crabcakes, salad and a smores dessert. Everything was very tasty and well presented, although the smores were a little on the sloppy side and not quite what I would expect for the price. Still yummy. The staff was knowledgeable if a little slow. It wasn't busy when we arrived but picked up throughout the night, but the service didn't change. They also had an outdated menu so some of the things we saw that we wanted were not available. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we just wished they were a bit more attentive (filling water, noticing empty wine glasses, etc). There was a small live band playing and the noise in the bar was not excessive. You should expect some noise a) in a bar and b) when there's entertainment. Overall we really liked Flight 112 and will definitely be back. We hope management takes notice of the comments on the staff and menu availability - not just mine. This is a good place but it really could be great!

Good setting for a weekend or weekday. Cheese and meat plank is our favorite. Wines do not disappoint. Rented that bar-side for a birthday party. Great staff and appetizers. Price is unbeatable for the event compared to other business in the area. There are some really good wines and draft beer on tap for the more selective members of your group. Extremely attentive to our needs and always made sure our guests were happy. The initial menu was a bit difficult but it worked out tremendously.

What happened to this place? We used to frequent before they expanded and a couple times after and it was pretty good service and food. We went tonight after a movie and our waiter was non-existent most of the night (the other waitress and, what looked to be, the owner was bringing out our drinks and food). Our waiter, not even 21 yet, didn't know what was on the draft list, check up on us with basic and i mean BASIC customer service, or even how to use a groupon. That should've been a red flag for me, that they now use groupons. I don't know if it's new management or what, but we definitely are not returning here and going to where we had the rest of our drinks and dessert; Cafe Armano.

GREAT FOR A SMALL PARTY! We had my son's Engagement Party here and it was fantastic! Normally, they are closed on Sunday's, but with 30 guest, they opened just for us! We had the entire bar and they even set up low-tops for some of our guests to use. The food was delicious, and the service spectacular! I would highly recommend having your next party or even a romantic dinner at Flight 112.

We were seated in the back promptly and served waters upon sitting. The waiter (very young and nervous) asked if we wanted drinks. We selected a wine flight which was delivered a few minutes later. Then it seems we were forgotten about. And this place was dead for a Saturday night. The woman at the next table was complaining to the server about her cold coffee. Finally we got to order our meals. The waiter did not know what NGA meant after certain entrees. So he asked the chef. The chef didn't know either!! The chef took our menu up front to the manager to ask. It means No gluten Availability. The waiter AND the chef didn't know. Yikes! We ordered our meals. After a short wait I noticed our entrees sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up and served to us. nearly 5 minutes passed while we stared at our entrees from across the room. The bus boy noticed my frustration and came over to check on me and i asked him if I can have our food. The Mac n cheese fritters were average and the pulled pork sliders were tasty. Waiter never came by to check until we were done. Next up was the grilled flank steak. It's served on a cutting board. The steak blood ran off of it onto the table. Didn't bother me but some people it would. There was confusion about how to ring up my groupon. I won't go back but thunk others should consider giving it a try. Don't go if you have a gluten allergy, the chef may kill you accidentally. Lol They were playing 50s oldies music. Seriously.

Servers are kids who don't know anything about wine. Train them! "I dunno" isn't customer service. Also slivers of cheese the size of wrigley spearmint gum pieces and a small handful of grapes from the jewel osco do not make a cheese plate. In addition, a Groupon is cash. I know because I paid quite a bit for it. A coupon and a Groupon can be used together in every other establishment in the country. By telling me that "my computer will only take one of the other--not both at the same time," you're just being a sad little business.

Pretty good bar with decent craft beer list and good wine. Last time we visited, they were out of a couple of beers I tried to order. The beer I did order (which I've had many times) tasted a little skunky...as if it was old or wasn't stored properly. I hadn't had problems on previous visits however. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The kitchen was unfortunately closed but the waiter was nice enough to bring out a cheese plate for us. The cheese was ok. All in all - it's nice to have a bar that has a good selection of craft beer and wine in Elmhurst, but I hope they can iron out the wrinkles.

Food is definitely 4 stars but giving three for service and wine flights. Wish they rotate so better wines into the flights. The glazed salmon and Mac n cheese bites are two of our favorites.

Great food and interesting drink flights. Including Jack Daniels. Loved the small plates and dessert. Excellent raspberry shortcake. Very good wait service. Nice classy but open comfortable seating area. Can't wait to come back with girlfriends.

Sooooo, I'm in town for business and come here early on a Friday nite. The dude bartender with a goatee was extremely horrible at his job. Unless he knew you, you get shotty service. He never offered a menu or decent service. He walks up (10 customers in the bar total) and says "what do you want?" I ordered a drink which he just slid and walked away and then decided I want food. Again, 10 people total. He and the other bartender proceeded to walk by for the next 20 minutes without offering anything. I finally just raised my hand and waited to be acknowledged. Finally they did and I ordered the salmon. It was literally the size of a biscotti. I've never left hungry and disappointed like this. My companies corporate office is here....def will not recommend to anyone.

We're in town for the holiday and we found a groupon here, and finally decided to check it out with some friends. I'm so sad we didn't try it earlier, because it is awesome. I loved the beer list, friend loved the wine list, and friends bf loved the whiskey list. Everyone was happy. Their flight selection is wonderful. We got the mac n cheese bites to start, and they were great. The lemon green beans were delicious, I could've eaten them all. I got the prosciutto & fig flatbread, it was delicious and there were no leftovers. My friend got the chicken salad, and she too had no leftovers. Her bf got the Parmesan chicken, also no leftovers. My bf got the Thai steak, and he did have leftovers, but it was amazing and he loved it. We did have room for dessert at this dinner, which is good, cuz the desserts were delicious. Friend got the raspberry shortcake and I almost stole it from her it was so yummy. I got flour-less chocolate torte, and it was great. We got three Irish coffees and the were delicious, plus the awesome waitress comped them. She was super sweet and wonderful. Very attentive even though she may have been the only waitress on that night, I think the manager was helping out too. We're just sad that we didn't try Flight 112 sooner, because now we live in Minneapolis and won't be able to enjoy it again for months.

We went to flight 112 for dinner on Valentine's day. I can't speak to the menu as they had a prix fix french menu only available for that day so we had none of the regular menu items. Food was excellent. Service was good but a bit slow. I think the reason for that was due to the volume of people that were there for the event. I would like to go back and try the regular menu. It's a place you should go when you have the time. I just don't think it is a place to go and grab a quick bite. Although going for just drinks and appetizers is a real possibility as well.

I took my fiancée here for a celebration of our engagement and Flight 112 went out of their way to make it a special night for us! I included in the 'open table' reservation that I wanted champagne waiting for us at the restaurant. Within ten minutes the manager called my cell phone ( I did not request a call) and asked me about the champagne tastes of my fiancée. When we arrived, the champagne was waiting, the waitress congratulated us on our engagement ( yea- scored major points with my fiancée for that one) and the food/service were great. Look forward to our next visit.

Booking a private (semi-private) event here was easy. Their website states that they offer packages starting at $12/person, but I was able to negotiate something for our small group doing a clothes swap. Betsy, the events coordinator, allowed us to use the space free of charge provided we do a 2-item minimum per person. Everyone had a glass of wine (or two...or three...?) and had a good time. We were allowed use of a side room which was undecorated. It didn't need to be, we only needed tables and space. White walls, black tables, checkerboard tile - all very blah compared to the chic bar around the wall from us. It was ideal for what we needed, but I wouldn't want to use this space for a birthday or elegant event. I'm not sure if you can reserve their other space, but what we had looked like it was overflow space or somewhere a band or DJ might set up. There were a few things about Flight 112 that frustrated the hell out of me. Things happen, I know that. But when you're out of Three Floyds Gumballhead AND Shine Reisling, it's annoying to have to look at the drink menu a third time. There were only two reislings and the other one, Badger Mountain, was terrible. Not to mention the bartender with the Ringling Brothers mustache didn't hide his annoyance when I didn't want either of the TWO options of beer on draft. Sorry, I didn't mean to be so high maintenance, but you keep running out of things. Our event started at 6:30 p.m., and several of us were looking forward to trying the food menu as well as the wine. They had what they called a "modified menu," which included a bison burger and something called "mushroom and asparagus." I don't know what constitutes having a modified menu on a Thursday night - the bar, the tables, and the back room were all quite busy. None of us ate. A small group of us went to a pancake house after the event instead. During our semi-private event, two men sitting in the bar area snickered and pointed at what they called, "all the moms." Well, look here Mr. Greasy Slicked Back Hair and Your Awful Olive Green Button-Up (who I believe was an employee) - I am NOT a mom nor were several of my friends here. My one friend, who IS a mom, really was irritated since she made the effort to dress nice for the evening. From what I hear, moms don't get that option too often. Flight 112 needs to tell their slimeball line cooks that if they want to enjoy a glass of vino after their shift to ZIP IT. To summarize, the wine list is OK. The beer list is OK. If I were in the area, I'd try somewhere else like Tannin's, and if I were going to organize another event I'd try somewhere else. Period. Best for grabbing a quick glass of wine or a beer before/after your train, since it's just across the tracks. Also worth noting is that we were able to use their space free of charge. I would've waited to write a review until I got a chance to go back, but I was really underwhelmed with this place.

Flight 112 has an awesome selection of beer and wine but the real winner is the new food menu. We usually get the meats and various cheeses but have recently discovered how amazing the full food menu is. I had the drunken chicken substituting asparagus for the potatoes. It was the BEST chicken I have ever eaten. Hands down. Great vibe awesome staff

Malbec. Chocolate Torte. Patio. How can anything be wrong with that? I really need to visit Flight 112 more often, especially before these gorgeous evenings are gone. Flight 112 has a Patio! The shrubs/potted trees and twinkle lights help make the patio a cool and sweet place to spend an evening. Their small plate menu and wine/craft beer/liquor list still offer a nice array of choices and service was wonderful and helpful. I've never had a bad glass or wine or a bad martini here. Most recently tried a Malbec on their list and once again very happy with the choice. Their Chocolate Torte with candied pecans was rich and decadent--stellar. Their lounge area was hopping with groups of folks sharing their cheese plates and wine. Their front bar area was also full of folks enjoying their libations and conversations. Definitely a perfect place to enjoy a glass (or bottle) with a friend!

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner yesterday with my bf. The service was phenomenal. The food had great presentation as well as was delish! The bartender had great recommendations for wine and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back :)

I've been here in small groups, a large group that took over the back room, and by myself. Each time was equally as fabulous as the last. Wednesdays are my favorite because they have $5 sangria, in generously poured glasses. I prefer the white, by I've been told the red is fabulous, too. The food is good, but totally unnecessary to have a great time at Flight 112. The atmosphere is always fun and social. You can totally go here solo and have a great time.

Just had dessert at the new restaurant Flight 112. Adam the pastry chef was a BIG SURPRISE!! We ordered the carrot cake mouse with rutabaga-jellied topping. The dessert was so good we ordered another dessert. Almond cake with honeydew melon sorbet, cantaloupe sorbet and ginger sorbet. Fabulous!!

Excellent selection of GOOD beers and fantastic selection of wines! Very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere and the prices are on par with what you get. You'll have a nice upscale yet relaxing time...... if you can find any parking.

Food menu is small but we ordered four of the small plates and were pleasantly surprised with how good each one was. Large drink menu. Wasn't a huge fan of the white flight I ordered but I feel that's my fault for ordering a flight. The prosecco I ordered after the flight was amazing. They also have a decent selection of craft beer.

Wine flights. Deep beer selection, including some good choices on tap. A bartender with extensive knowledge of what he's pouring. A dimly-lit space with ample seating at the bar and cozy couches in the back. A wide array of small plates to satisfy your wine/beer munchies. Smart, edgy art, everywhere. Wine. Organic wine. Local wine. And then, some more wine. Ahhh... this is the kind of atmosphere that makes me just want to waste some time. All of this? You can get it right across the street from the Elmhurst Metra. Literally, a hop, step and a skip away. If you have some time, check out the entire venue. It's a mixed use space-- part art gallery, part salon, part wine bar, part wellness center and all out cool. They're still relatively new, but I have a feeling Flight 112 is here to stay.

Since Flight 112 is conveniently located across the street from the Elmhurst train station, I walked over after my first week working in Chicago to pick up a bottle of wine for a barbecue my friend was having. As soon as I explained my situation, I was poured some of the best cabernet in the house along with some red blend and red zinfandel that Joe thought would go well with barbecued ribs . The bottles here were a bit more expensive than the wine bar on Spring Road but the service, location, and free advice/samples more than made up for it.

I met a girlfriend here for drinks on a Saturday night and ended up staying for the entire night. It's a casual environment and was not super crowded so I felt like I could relax and stay awhile without hogging a table. Wines were delicious and I tried a meat and cheese plate that was scrumptious. Good thing my friend wasn't hungry because I wanted to devour the whole thing myself, may have been because of the wine. One star deducted due to slow service but not bad enough to keep me away permanently so I will definitely be returning! MORE CHEESE PLEASE!!! Parking can be a little hard to find since the bar is smack dab in the middle of downtown Elmhurst but I I managed to find a spot only a couple blocks away.

After walking into Flight 112, I was greeted with a trumpet blast to my right ear. Yes, they have live music here. Yes it is right at the front door. Yes, you open the door into them. No you can't hear the bartender, waitress, or anyone else in your party. Tried to ask a few simple questions, but got tired of yelling and being unable to understand the response. There is a backroom, put Louie Armstrong in the back. Not able to place an order, we left to return another day. Return trip a few weeks later, pretty much more of the same. The space is very tiny and having another full band up front takes up a lot of real estate. Thankfully these musicians understood they were not playing to the people in the back and we were able to actually place an order. Service was lackluster to say the least. How can you run out of 2 of the 3 beers I wanted to order? That is sad.... It's Friday, make sure your keg is set. Come on.... Ordered a plate and was very disappointed with what we received. After making the effort to not write this place off and come here for a second time, my hopes were high. Maybe too high, but left disappointed. I'm sorry, but there are much better options out there.

Been meaning to check this place out for some time. Had the opportunity the other day. Smack down town at the Metra stop in Elmhurst. The place is much bigger than I had imagined. Large bar with some tables around, a center section with comfortable couches and chairs and also a patio area with 4 or 5 tables. Really nice selection of wines. They rotate the wine list every few months getting wines from different regions. Most wines on the list were from the Paso Robles region of CA. The Sangria was a bit sweet for our taste. Excellent selection of craft beers. Nice to see that these days. There are so many great craft brews and it's great that bars are adding them to the list. What I found interesting was the booze flights, great concept. Check out a whiskey, scotch, or tequila flight. Food selection was really nice. Tried the bison sliders, outstanding! The planks are also excellent. Choose your meats and cheeses. They come with ample meats, cheeses, bread, olives, etc. Great selection to enjoy with your wine. Staff was great and actually knew what they were pouring in your glass. These guys have done it right. Cheers!

All you really have to know about this place can be summed up in 5 words: BEST CRAFT BEER IN ELMHURST. I guess you probably want to know more than that though, yes? Well...Flight 112 has an interesting venue. I'm not sure what is going on here as I was only here for the beer (naturally) but it seems as though we've got part salon, part art gallery, part tapas restaurant, and part bar. The food looks delicious (My friends ate but I just watched. And drank.), there is also an amazing selection of wine and liquor, and the service was decent too. Just when I thought there were no great bars in Elmhurst, Flight 112 proves me wrong. Well played, Elmhurst, well played.

We visited here for dinner as they are firming up menu selection to expand into a full restaurant. We tried almost every appetizer. The Cambodian Salad was unique and delicious. The pecan chicken appetizer was another favorite. Our top entree selections were the beautifully created risotto and the bison burger with fried parsnips. Every dessert was amazing and, of course, great wine was served as Flight 112 has always has had. Highly recommend. Hope to visit soon!

Go for wine skip the food. We ordered both. The flights rocked, the food sucked. It tasted like it was made yesterday. The cheese/meat board wasn't bad - so THAT I can recommend. Go there for some flights and then take the party somewhere else for the food

Friendly, personable, and informative staff, great atmosphere, fantastic values on wine and more, and really great tasting plates. This is a great place to go alone, with a friend, or a group. While it is right across from the train station, it seems to be a hidden gem (at least in the early evenings). Try it, you'll love it.

A few bar tables and more seats at the bar are what you'll find here, along with a large selection of organic or sustainably grown wines. The food is meant as a complement to wine tasting, but if you don't insist on three standard courses you can make a nice meal here while you taste. A variety of wine and scotch flights with generous pours let you compare tastes against each other and against food. A simple paper slide lists each glass's contents so you don't forget what's what. The Riesling flight focused on sweeter (rather than mineral/crisp) tastes, but all went well with the selection of cheeses we had. Available cheeses include triple creme Port Robert, the nutty Prairie Breeze from Iowa, a mild bleu from Italy, and more. I didn't think the pinchos were as successful as other things - they're served cold and their flavors just aren't very satisfying. Sliders are tasty. The bartender on our visit was knowledgeable about beers and wines, and willing to chat with each customer. A nice addition to downtown Elmhurst.

I loved their wine flights. Great idea. And they put the wine on a sheet of paper that tells you which is which. The food all sounded good, although I won't go here just for dinner. It's more of an appetizer/snack. We got the butternut squash & zucchini flatbread, which was delicious and perfect bar food. Nice & cheesy, the butternut squash really added to it. Seemed small, but the back room was hosting a private party, so I only saw the front room.

Wife and I stopped in for a pre-dinner drink. Nice cozy little spot, with good selection of beverages. Lots of craft beer, wine and whiskey/scotch to choose from. Prices are a good value, especially on bottles. Small plates looked good, with something for everyone. We will be back for an extended stay soon.

The quality of a place always ends and starts with the people who live there and give it warmth, personality and life. flight 112 is supplied with smiles and hearts to warm your cold soul, to fill your glass with tasty libations and to help remind you that even in the country there are places like this to connect with people of stimulating energies. I've had irish coffees in many a places, but the lady lauren behind the bar made this one a mighty tasty one with her charming self. Needless to say I now have a huge crush, and its to her best and safety I live in another area code;p The food plates were eye candy, the food on the plates were tongue teasers and the wines to follow filled the voids where the food left off. It was a cozy joint. Good place to catch up with old friends and make some new as its difficult to hold onto your armor in a place like this. and forever I shall now have good thoughts of the suburb called Elmhurst as the place I met ...her.

Great deals! $5 wine specials all the time and live music on Friday. Great selection of wine flights which is always fun if you are on a date or out with a group of friends! Love that the wines are organic and they have a lot of local picks. Fantastic beer selection too...Lambec, Three Floyds, Dogfishhead, Duvel, etc. Something for everyone here and price and atmosphere are just right! The bartender, Kyle, knows everything about anything you could possibly want to drink here. A knowledgeable and friendly bartender is always good! Went here once before a few months ago and loved all the bruschetta choices on the menu. They changed the menu though. Hopefully the other items will be back this winter! The space is cozy and artsy. High top tables, seats at the bar and then a couch/loungy area in the back. It's also attached to a small art gallery!

This is by far one of my favorite local wine bars. It is a little bit on the small side but if you can get a table, they have great menu and wine and beer list. Also the Sangria... OMG... it is to die for. It isn't overly sweet and there is a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Amazing. My friends and I have taken down 3-4 glasses in a night, which is a lot for us girls in our 30's. It is so smooth, be careful! :) The service has been friendly and consistent, however, sometimes the live music can get a little bit overwhelming depending on the night.

You have a bottle of Whistle Pig behind the bar?! What a way to make an awesome first impression! First off just let me say these guys have a top notch staff, very professional and friendly. Its got a good vibe to it with the live jazz on Fridays and the laid back overall chill to the atmosphere. There's a beer garden/patio in the back which is always good for an extra star in the rating, and the beer menu couldn't get any better! Kudos, Flight 112, see ya after work!

The restaurant at Flight 112 just opened. My husband and I wanted to check this place out and we were really blown away by the dinner experience. A really eclectic menu, sort of an Asian fusion themed menu. Nothing like it in Elmhurst I believe. The crabcakes were awesome and we had this really interesting and yummy Cambodian Cabbage salad. Our spiced beef entrée was wonderfully prepared with fresh asparagus and Crimini mushrooms. Really, really good. We will definitely be back!

Perfect place to bring a date. Get romantic, seat yourselves in the back area and order a wine flight. The best service from the waitress; knowledgeable and attentive. Cool artwork on the walls with background music. They also sell bottles of wine. Lastly, this isn't a bar hangout for the 21 year old crowd.

Came here on a Friday night and was glad to see that there was $5 food and drink specials. Specials rotate out and change from week to week I believe, so make sure to check their website to see what the current specials are. Great place to have a few drinks if you are into wine, cheese, and craft beer. They also had some awesome beers on tap, including one of my favorites, Bell's Oberon. But besides that they have an awesome bottle selection, including allagash, gumball head, lil' sumpin sumpin, etc. etc. A nice little addition was the small jazz combo that came in and played some nice music. Definitely check it out on a Friday night but come in a little bit earlier to avoid the rush.

Ordered the following for tapas: heart of palm and endives: first time the chef forgot to put the heart of palms in it, but it tasted great anyways. The waiter did being another plate with the heart of palm, but I still liked the one without it better. Drunken tomatoes and zucchinis: my favorite. Tasted fresh. Spinach and goat cheese flatbread: size o a personal pizza. Light goat cheese taste, which is usually my favorite, along with artichoke hearts and tomatoes. Great taste and a pretty big portion. Mushroom and onion flatbread: pretty much the same concept as the spinach and goat cheese flatbread, but with mushrooms and onions. Another great dish. Wines: Villa Donna Lambrusco: great sweet red that was a bit stronger than the Rosa that I had. Il conte Stella Rosa: wonderful light red wine that had the perfect sweetness. Ferrari- carano Cabernet savignon: strong, great wine. Fiancee had it and he liked it. Terra Barossa Shiraz: smooth red that had the perfect touch or spiciness. Gave you the light burn in the nose. Dessert: dreamsicle creme brûlée: creamy vanilla cream with a splash o bright orange with cream on top. A perfect ending to the night. This would have cost us over $100 but only ended up paying $20 before tip! What a great place and a great find from livingsocial!

Flight 112............My neighborhood place. My sanctuary. My Cheers. When in need of a cold Chimay and some good conversation this is where I go. The beer choices (draft & bottle) suit my needs. My meat and cheese jones is always answered here. The app/entree choices will satisfy the gourmand. The wine list will not disappoint. I appreciate the laid back vibe, the subdued lighting and, of course, the staff and patrons. It all adds up to a consistent and satisfying experience.

I've been here three times, and I really want to love the place. I'd say I gave it a fair shot. The first time I went with a group of friends. We were placed in the back room that had couches and low coffee tables for seating. It was a little awkward, but OK overall. My girlfriend had forgotten her ID, didn't switch it over from the other purse, and they wouldn't serve her. We're all over 25. I completely understand the liability issue, but the waitress wasn't very nice about the incident. It soured the mood, and we decided to leave. On my second occasion I went with my fiancé. We had a great experience for the most part. We again were sat in the back room. We had a highboy cocktail table (that was broken, it kept tilting back and forth, we had to put napkins under it to steady it), and were able to enjoy good wine and a spread of delicious meat and artisanal cheeses. This changed my opinion of the wine bar and tilted me in favor. The last time I went was to meet a girlfriend for wine and appetifs after work. They were advertising $5 small plates, and we chose the green bruschetta, prosciutto wrapped dates and drunken herb-stuffed tomatoes. The bruschetta baguette was so hard we couldn't cut it with a knife and could barely chew it without being rude. The dates were very good, but they cut them in quarters so you were not actually getting a full date. The tomatoes came out and looked delicious, but the only good thing about them was the melted drunken goat cheese. It was a mushy mess. The waitress (the only one staffed) didn't make it into the back room nearly enough. I saw the table seated to our left, try and flag her down repeatedly. They looked so relieved when they finally got their bill. Key points to take away -It is a seat yourself kind of place, but they do not make any effort to let you know. Both the bartender and the waitress saw me standing up front and didn't take the 30 seconds to let me know what to do. In addition to this, I had made reservations so how was I to know where to go? Finally after standing their awkwardly for 5 minutes the bartender asked me if I was meeting someone. This led him to seating me at my reserved table, the waitress didn't even do it...this left me with a sour taste immediately upon arrival. -The demo is late thirties and up, which was fine for a one-on-one meet up with a girlfriend, but not conducive to a gathering of friends. -The place is pretty cramped, you feel like you're crawling over people in the bar area. -Understaffed and the vibe was all wrong, we had to wave down the waitress for each drink or new small plate we wanted. On top of that she was snooty. I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend. It's too bad because it had so much potential.

I think I went into Flight 112 with an idea of a bit more...swanky wine lounge. It's way more casual than expected but not in a bad way! The wine and beer selections are enormous and the food is fantastic and plentiful. The prices are right! A few things that put me off a bit....the lounge area in the back was so bright you could read a book, dimming the brights could help see the candles glowing. Our server, very nice, was a bit....occupied? The music....was early 90's rap...strange. Overall I am going to give this place another shot because every place has an off night.

This place gets an A. This is a great place to take someone on a date, not just to impress them, but also to impress yourself. We had the Merlot and some Cabarnet. Both were delicious, and the server was very helpful in choosing the right wine for such a vague description. "We want something nice, but more bitter than the Merlot." With his recommedation of the Cabarnet, he was spot on! For eats, we had the ham and apples flatbread, which was a culinary marvel. Then we ordered a plate of Gouda cheese, which came with grapes and theses octagon shaped crackers. My personal recommendation is to take a piece of cheese and put in on the crackers with some grapes, and eat it all in the same bite. Then wash it down with som Cabarnet. It's really good!!! So I'm going to go ahead with 5 stars. The only tiny thing I'd adjust if I could was that the live music occasionally became a bit loud, but mostly stayed at a nice volume.

Good ambiance. However, our waters didn't get filled all night and the waiters only checked in on us once. Maybe it was because they were younger but the one gentleman we had didn't know too much of the beers and wines compared to other breweries/wine beers i've been too.

Great food and beer selection, with a quiet atmosphere you can't get at most bars in Elmhurst. There's usually an excellent beer or two on draft and many craft beers to choose from. Love this place!

After a marvelous dinner (with lots of wine) at Wine & Vine a block or so away, my party and I were ready to keep our wine train rolling. "Just one more," we all agreed, and mosied on over to Flight 112. Dark woods and warm tealights set the perfect mood for after-dinner drinks for us, just the vibes for which we'd been hoping. A thick leather-bound menu of drinks beheld all the magic of an after-dinner drink perfect for each of us. For me? Prosecco (pshaw, bubbles are good before or after dinner, thank you!). For my handsome date? A deep, rich, fabulous beer from the tap, served in the appropriate glass. Also consumed were a dessert riesling (thumbs up from across the table) and a Riesling proper. My one small gripe is that I believe that my prosecco was from a bottle that hadn't been closed properly...my bubbles weren't particularly bubbly. I drank it anyway, cuz well, I tend to be polite, but I did miss the usual tingles produced from a lovely prosecco. So, Flight 112, you did a good thing. If in the area and pressed for an after-dinner drink (or before!), I would definitely recommend returning. However, this time, I'd go for a bottle. See? Problem solved.

So, after an amazing meal at Wine & Vine, we decided to go somewhere to drink a little more (the 2 bottles at Wine & Vine were not enough). I was not in the mood for wine, so I just grabbed a two brothers beer that was on tap, and it was great. I haven't noticed Two Brothers on tap too much in the city, so it was a nice chance to try it. The waitress was nice and attentive. I wish I wasn't driving, I would have loved to have a few more from their beer selection. The front area is a little small, but it looks like they have a pretty good size lounge area in the back.

BEST CRAFT BEER SELECTION IN ELMHURST... oh, and of course an outrageously rockin' wine list. Okay, I've been making a lot of declarations of "Best Beer Selection in_________ (insert town name here)" lately, but I do it all for you, my beloved and fellow yelpers. I don't want you people to miss out on anything that could drastically improve and enhance the quality of your life. On the night I came to Flight 112, I noticed my mom's fave beer, Duvel Green, and my fave stout, Two Brothers Northwind Imperial, on tap- which, by the way, is normally served in a 6 oz. snifter glass but they only had Two Bros Pint glasses... does that mean you get an extra 10 ounces on the serving in the pint glass? If so, score! Because Northwind Stout is 10% ABV. In addition to the tappers, they've also got 97357097327 other kinds of bottled craft beer to offer. Okay, it's not really that arbitrary number that I made up by mashing my number pad with my palm, but it's a lot... like 35 other choices and they're constantly evolving. And in case you were wondering, that selection includes the 60, 90, and 120 minute IPAs from Dogfish Head... yep, that's right folks! They carry the 20.5% ABV 120 minute IPA which is ever elusive in the burbies. Too bad I live so far from here... Anyone know any cab specials from Elmhurst to Naperville? Wait! I know, I can further indulge on the bites here to soak it all up. For din, I'd recommend going with a few friends so you can each order a dish to share tapas style. I went with the Spinach and Goat Cheese Flatbread that has fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, red peppers, and drunken (would you want it any other way?) goat cheese. It was heavenly! Next time I'll go with the Wasabi Zucchini Cakes (well, actually they're crab cakes but the zucchini is their vegetarian version)... and maybe get the flatbread again, too. I will say that the food takes quite a while, so don't plan on being in a hurry. It's meant to be a place where you sit back, relax, and imbibe on some truly unique wine, beer, and bites. And if you do get bored, the adorable bartender, Kyle, will certainly keep you entertained (for some good stories and pics, ask him about his trip to Thailand). Now on to the wine... I decided to err on the side of caution and have just one glass of white wine (keeping Carol Js dental advice close to heart). I went with the Seyval Blanc from Owl Creek Vineyard, which is a local winery... okay, it's in Southern Illinois but can we just pretend that Southern, Ill is still local? Thanks! ...Anyway, it was delicious and the perfect thing to keep me warm on that cold and snowy night. Next time, I'm planning on doing a wine flight or getting the Kung Fu Girl Reisling because I like the name, and as some of you may know, I'm a Karate Kid and won third place in the Midwest Tang Su Do and Hap Ki Do regionals in 1997... though I was totally robbed of second place. Yea, you pretty much don't want to step to this, but do yourself a favor and step on over to Flight 112. You will not be disappointed.

Thank god for Flight 112! This place is the perfect place for my fiancé and I to go when we are looking for a relaxing evening out. The atmosphere is awesome, and the employee that keeps us coming is Jake. He is an excellent and knowledgeable bartender and also a great conversationalist. It is so nice to know that we will get top quality service, amazing and well priced food/wine, and an excellent music selection, every single time. If you're looking for the best place to drop by for a drink in Elmhurst, Flight 112's bar manned by Jake is your best bet.

Call it pure love! I love this place and have been there on busy nights, slow nights, with friends, and alone. I love everything about it including the ambiance, the location, size, decor, art, staff, menu, wine selections -- and the unpretentious but artistic feel. The wine prices start at $5 a glass - for real! The food is pretty and well paired with wines, if that is your thing. No judgment here - no wine snobs or conissours -- just a really good time. Ohhhh --- can you say "Progressive"? The wines are either sustainable, organic, or bio-dynamic. This is the BEST feature for me. Sit in the front bar area or in the back where there are couches if you can find room. This place gets crazy busy later evenings. I am a true fan.

I had written a review before but I don't think it was all that true... so I needed to rewrite it after I thought about it. My husband and I strolled in after a light meal at Cafe Amano (which is a fantastic lil place for apps!).. Going in just for kicks we opened the door and realized it was quite full... and smooth jazz was playing... smooth jazz... I felt I was in a dentist office or elevator, we walked around to find a place to sit and we ended up finding a place in a small nook in a very odd place... adjacent to a space that was open to a hair salon. quite bizarre but we figured we could handle it. The server dropped off some menus and a couple glasses of water and said she'd be right back... 15 minutes had come and gone and we thought we might as well go.. and then she popped up! We ordered a couple glasses of wine.. they were good, but not anything to write home about. Still being hungry we decided to compare their crab cakes to the ones we had just had.. they may have been the saving grace to our time spent there.. a lot of crab and not a lot of filler.. we also shared 3 mini sliders which were quite good as well (except the bison one was over cooked). One thing that did get us though about the food part was that the chef was running out all of the food. Don't they have a runner to do that? So all and all, services was OK... music was tired sounding, the wine was good but nothing to write home about... but the food was pretty good.

I went here to meet a friend for drinks. It was a really nice looking place. We sat at the bar and the bartender suggested a great glass of wine. The experience was downhill from there. There were 2 bartenders behind the bar. We had trouble getting their attention to order food. The food was limited selection, but very good. We were there for 3 hours. Neither bartender ever asked us if we wanted a drink refill. Then the kicker was that my friend accidentally knocked over her class of water (which was obvious because it made a loud crash and water splattered everywhere). One of the bartenders was right in front of us when it happened. Nobody ever came over to clean it up. We sat there for at least another 1/2 hour with a puddle in front of us. Extremely disappointing.

Fab! I experinced this place last Friday night what a pleasure! Its a nice cozy, dark, slightly romantic wine bar.I'm so glad that I have brought Flight 112 into my life. The suburbs are usually so damn boring and theres never anything unique. Flight 112 has certainly changed that! Besides being a cute wine bar with a cozy lounge in back, they serve apps. we had the flat bread pizzas that were really good a nice snack size to share with a friend. I also tried the cheese platter which was delicious with an array of stinky cheeses yum! The coolest thing is the fact that its attached to an art gallery (Glitch) that features funky art and also connects with a wellness center and a hair salon(effigy). Cant wait to go back!

Great option in Elmhurst right next to the train station -- my favorite spot for drinks on a Friday after work. Unique beers on draft and knowledgeable bartender. Recently had Allagash Curieux and Dogfish Head Noble Rot. Good selection of wine and nice prices. Food is always delicious. Flatbreads are interesting and always good, also like the pear with manchengo wrapped in prosciutto. Was excited to see they've added outdoor seating, but it wasn't as appealing as I'd hoped. If they cozy it up a bit, could be a great option on a warm evening.

Great service and great atmosphere. Theres a large room in the rear thats great for parties of 3 or more The servers are really nice and wine list was pretty extensive. Definitely will go back again.

The food is AMAZING!!Never had anything I did not like there. The wine flights are also great, it's like a mini wine tasting event. They have specials every week for everyday which pays off, otherwise this place can be pricey. The food is really good but small and pricey. The have live music at times which is a plus. The waiters are friendly, the front is a little small but the back has enough space for large groups if you make a reservation. Very nice deco and cozy atmosphere.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new latin-inspired menu. Had the Asparagus flatbread and plan on trying the Spring rolls with Cuban Ropa Vieja! Also, Don Julio 1942 has arrived for you tequila buffs.

Looking to have a great time for a great price, please come and check out Flight 112. You have a knowledgeable staff that is ready to serve you with a great selection of organic wines, beer and a fabulous food menu. Its right across from the Metra station in downtown elmhurst. This venue is so unique, not only is it a local wine bar, but they have paintings from a local artist and a salon & spa attached to it as well. So drink, beautify yourself and tour the entire venue viewing all the wonderful art.

You have got to try their sangria, its the best!! Red or white, you can not go wrong. And they have the best Flatbread's. Flight 112 is a nice and cozy place to hang out at, not to mention they have a beautiful patio!!

This is definitely a fun place to go to eat, munch, and enjoy a conversation. I went here for dinner on a Friday night with three other people. The place is small, and the front portion of the establishment was not set up to accommodate a group of four seated together. We were shown the back room, but there seemed to be people cleaning in there, and we would have been the only people seated back there. Luckily, the servers were able to accommodate us by putting two tables together. As we came on a Friday night, we took advantage of the $5 Friday night food menu. My husband and I shared two of the $5 selections and a sliders flight. The $5 items we shared were the Jamaican steak tacos and chicken chipotle wrap. Both were good, especially considering the price. The sliders we ordered were the bison, pulled pork, and Cuban. The pulled pork was pretty standard, the Cuban was a bit dry for me, and the bison should have been a little less well done. We were definitely full after those three plates, particularly because the wrap was a full-sized meal in itself. The beer selection here is quite good compared to other places. The waitress did have to go check on any beer-related questions we asked (basic questions - style and brewery name), but was happy to do so and did not seem annoyed that she had to keep going back. Unfortunately, she also did not seem like she thought she should know the answer to these questions.

I have been here for live music and drinks with my husband and daughter and we had a really nice time. The tables are all high so not so great with a little one, but we managed. It is a nice intimate place but more for adults. I thought the food was above average. The flights were pricey but we enjoyed them. They also have a great space for private parties upstairs-nice and bright and high ceilings. They have a reasonably priced menu, too.

I come to this place for the great beer selection! Haven't been here in awhile, but they used to do half off all beers on Wednesday night with a cash donation to a charity. The bartender also knows his stuff, so if you need an opinion on what to drink, you can tell him what you like and he's good at making suggestions. Of course the wine selection is good too! Haven't tried the food, but it looked pretty tasty. If I visit downtown Elmhurst again, I'll be sure to stop by this place! (I moved to a southwest suburb)

The environment is great -- I love the back room. I wish I remembered to go more often. They've got a really interesting rotating food menu, they attract some great people, live music, and fantastic service. The bartender Kyle gave me my first recommendation and it turned out to be an introduction to my favorite wine. I had just turned 21 and didn't know anything about wine, but I took a wild guess and asked him to bring me something "sweet and light." Pacific Rim Riesling. Bang. Sold. And now that's been my go-to drink ever since. Great taste, not terrible prices for a place so nice. Really awesome cheese menu, although the serving size is pretty small.

I went here a couple Saturdays back for a girl's night out with my best friend. I absolutely adore wine and, consequently, wine bars. Living in the suburbs makes it quite difficult to find a good wine bar. If you happen to come across one, you're getting decent wine, decent service, decent food, and a pretty extravagent bill at the end of the experience. About a year ago, I came here for a wedding shower and had a great time. They have a room in the back that can be reserved for private gatherings. The shower had great service and excellent wine. I don't believe I tried the food that night. For one reason or another, I completely forgot about this place until I got it stuck in my head one day to find a good wine bar near me. There is D.O.C. Wine Bar in Lombard...but they are one of those places where you pay for more than you actually get type of places. When looking in my area for a wine bar that I could go on girl's night, I stumbled upon this place (again...THANK YOU, YELP)..and was like, OH YEAH! So, we went... Walking in was a little awkward because it wasn't made clear with a sign that you could seat yourself. A waitress walked right passed us without even acknowledging us. She went on to talk to customers at a table right next to the entryway for several minutes before the questioning glances in her direction by both my friend and I must've finally struck a chord enough with her to let us know we could take a seat wherever we'd like. That is the only negative thing I can mention about the experience. It was considerably rude. Anyhow, my friend and I found a seat all the way in the back room (usually reserved for parties). We took our seats and received menus fairly quickly. The waitress was courteous and attentive the remainder of our visit, perhaps realizing patrons aren't required to tip. We ordered a couple glasses of wine each. I ordered Pinot Grigio and my friend ordered Riesling. Although, I can't remember the brands anymore, I can tell you that they were both of great quality. We also ordered the Montenebro Crostini and Turkey and Smoked Gouda Flatbread to share. Both were out of this world! The Montenebro Crostini only came with 3 crostinis so with all that cheese, we had to order more and the waitress was very good about getting that for us. When we were done, we got the check and were astounded at how reasonable the pricing had been (clearly had not been paying attention when ordering). We split the check and paid about $26 each (obv excluding the tip that our waitress had earned after redeeming herself). It was a great time and, esp for the quality of the food and wine, was not over-priced. Since I've gone there, I keep thinking of reasons to go back. Hmmm... I've yet to come up with anything but I'm thinking I'll start using the failsafe "IT'S SATURDAY!" if something doesn't come together on it's own in the next couple weekends. If you like wine and tapas/small plates...you will not be disappointed by this place. Go there! Invite me! :-)

We went here for my 30th b-day party and I have mixed reviews. They were extremely accommodating to a flood of 15+ people on a Friday night. Our server (I wish I remembered her name) put together our own section in the gallery with tables and chairs if the back area got too crowded AND had like 10 different tabs going for everyone. I'm sure we were a pain in the ass :) BUT SHE WAS GREAT. As always, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. Okay, the only bad news was that they were running out of the wine!!! Me and my husband LOVE the "sustainable red" they have on Friday's and now it's off the menu! They've been out of it the last couple times we've been there and now it's just gone. I LOVED that wine. On top of that one of the white's we were drinking that night they ran out of as well! What's going on, guys?! Okay, now that I've said all that - this place is STILL awesome. They just need to get back on top of the Friday's wine.

Flight 112 is my Cheers. The best thing about it is as soon as the doors to the Metra open, it leads you there. Great place to go to have drink and unwind. They have a great wine and beer selection, wine for the missus, and beer for me. Kyle the Bartender is very knowledgeable to all of the selections there, and he provides some great conversation when there's a lull. It's great to find a gem like this in Elmhurst. There's Tannin's up the street, but they are more of a wine shop. Tannin's you go to taste wine, Flight 112 you go to drink wine.

This place is great for getting together with a group of friends or a date night. Their appetizers are AMAZING. All ingredients are super fresh. Their flat-breads are especially good. The sliders are really good too! Great wine selection - they are very generous about letting you try a wine if you are unsure. The back room is cozy (love the couches). I also love the art work, live music and weekly events and specials.

Stopped by last night for the live music, and we had a a flight apiece (scotch for me, reds for my wife). Nice atmosphere to the space, and the live music filled the air without being overpowering. Made for a nice cap to the evening!

This is a great place with a nice organic selection of wine, delicious small plates and a great atmosphere. We loved the flatbread pizza and also the stuffed mushrooms were amazing. They are always having great art events and live music. They also have daily specials and commuter specials. Don't miss this gem right across from the train station.

As far as I'm concerned, there's a serious dearth of really good wine/tapas places in the Western Suburbs. Flight 112, however, is a definite, welcome exception. The first time I visited, my fiance had planned a date night on a Friday. When we arrived, we found they'd lost our reservation. They quickly recovered, though, and sat us in the back - it's a cute, comfortable, dimly lit area with a lounge-y feel . It took close to 10 minutes after getting seated for the waitress to return and take our drink orders and, I have to say, I was concerned. However, the service, food, and wine that followed drastically improved their standing in my mind. The small tapas plates, sliders and flatbreads were perfectly portioned and tasted amazing. The organic wine and craft beer were wonderful complements, and our waitress was attentive without hovering. Also, the overall tab for our feast was quite reasonable. Fast forward a few months, and I was planning a last-minute bachelorette dinner for 14 people on a Saturday. The staff could not have been more accomodating. They allowed us to reserve half of the back room and to rearrange the tables. The service and ambience were terrific, we never felt rushed, and everyone agreed that the meal was phenomenal. They even split our food/drinks into separate checks. Personal faves: Bison sliders, the cheese/meat plank, spinach & goat cheese flatbread, & prosciutto-wrapped dates. Also- if you're a fan of sangria, the red is amazing (it's not on the menu, but ask and ye shall receive). If Yelp allowed half stars, I'd bump it up to 4.5!

I've been to Flight 112 several times, most recently for New Year's Eve. This is a very comfortable place to have a good, reasonably priced drink and enjoy music. Look for the times they have the live jazz band - they're great! I haven't had much of the food there, but the drink selections are solid and the ambiance is great. A great addition to Elmhurst.

We decided to go to Flight 112 Wine House with friends for dinner. When we walked in, we were surprised that it had mostly small tables for 2. We were a party of 4 and the staff had to move tables together so that we could fit. They really don't seem to advertise themselves as a place for dinner, but I thought the food was very good. We had the margarita flatbread, a flight of 3 sliders (I thought that the Cuban shredded beef was the best), and beef tacos. My husband and I can be big eaters, and since the menu is tapas style we ended up ordering some cheese for dessert. I liked the variety of beer and wine on the menu. They specialize in craft beer and organic and sustainable wine. The bar tender was nice enough to walk me though portions of the wine list (I was interested in local wine). We had a very nice experience and I would go back, but due to space limitations I would recommend it for an intimate date or a night with a good friend, and not a place for groups.

Not impressed. Had the Vietnamese salad which was ok. Tried a couple of flights, decent selection for the price. Food and drinks I would rate as average. Service was poor. The bartender was so inattentive even when the place was practically empty!! So I gave it only 2 stars. We could barely get his attention to get another round of drinks. Our food took forever. Getting the bill and paying for it also took a long time because the bartender was too busy socializing at the bar and could not be interrupted. So I don't think I will be coming back here anytime soon. I will spend my hard earned money some place else where it will be appreciated.

This place was really great, especially considering it is in a suburb of Chicago (yeah, I know that is elitist, but I don't care). They have a great selection of all organic wines. You can get flights of wine and they have great cheese and meat flights that you can mix and match. For wine, I recommend the Leititia Pinot Noir. They have a back area with cozy couches and low tables and great mood lighting. The place also flows into an art gallery next door, which flows into a hair salon, which flows into a wellness center, all in a really cool old building. I was able to go into the gallery and look around and they have some great pieces, and some that are actually reasonably priced. The only negative that I can say about the place is that there was a DJ spin event going on in the gallery the night that we were there, and even though we were in the back room of 112 we had to shout to hear each other, and I was trying to catch up with friends that I had not seen in a couple of years, so that was a little annoying. They need to have at a minimum velvet curtains that separate the back seating area from the area where the music is, so people can have the best of both worlds.

Maybe I was spoiled with great wine bars when I lived in Scottsdale, AZ for some years... but I was disappointed in this place. We had been wanting to stop in for awhile and one night when we were passing by they had live music so we decided to check it out. Kind of a strange place to have live music because they weren't playing where the bar was. We sat at the bar (and heard the music from the other room) and the bartender obviously forgot about our food we ordered becasue it took forever to come out and then was kind of cold by the time we got it. The whole decor just seemed kind of cheaply done too. We love our wines, so we might be back, but I'm in no hurry.

After searching Yelp for recommendations in Elmhurst, we decided to stop in. We started with two of the cheese plates along with a wine and beer flights. All of the above were very good and the bread was excellent. My wife ordered the Zucchini Scampi for her main course and had to ask for salt. (as long as I've known her she's never added extra salt to anything) I tried her dish and no doubt it was flavorless. I ordered the Drunken Chicken which was tasty, but the "fingerling potatoes" resembled under fried home fries. I would say this is a great place to start the night. Drinks & Appetizers = 4 Stars / Meal - 2 Stars

When we first walked in the place looked great and we were so excited to sit down and have a nice dinner. It's a lot bigger than it seems from the outside, and it's decorated nicely. The wine was good although the staff doesn't seem too knowledgeable, and the food was decent, but nothing special. The problem I had with this place, is that they seem to be super shorthanded. We had a waiter who was very young and inexperienced and I think he was taking care of the entire restaurant that night. You would think that would be the reason we didn't get very good service, but he seem to be sitting by the computer the entire night. He forgot to put in our order so we waited an extremely long time to get even our appetizers, and even longer time for our dinner which the manager eventually ended up bringing to us. We weren't checked on by the waiter, and when my husband ordered another drink he didn't receive it until he was nearly done with his food. There was also a large group of women who came in and were seated next to us. They all sat down and nobody was offered a drink for at least a half hour. I felt really bad for them they came out to have a good time and they weren't even asked for a drink let alone any food. At one point someone finally came by and brought them waters. I really don't know what was happening that day. We might have just tried this place for the first time on a very bad night, but we normally tip 30% average when we go out to dinner, and I never complain about service. That night however my husband agreed that he didn't feel he would want to leave more than 10% and that was being generous. Not sure if we will give this place another chance.

I stopped in here Friday night with a friend and a I must admit ... I probably won't be going back. When we walked in there was nowhere to sit except for in a drab looking back room. We found an open table that was empty aside from the remnants from the previous patrons (clean your tables). It took us about 10 minutes to get our drinks, this was after naming off 4 beers on the menu that they were out of; the 'bartender' (I use the term loosely) commented on how I must not know much about beer because I was jumping from type to type. I informed him I was hoping to try something new and if he could just circle the beers they actually had that'd be quite helpful (he didn't find this amusing). I decided on Revolution's Oktoberfest (fifth time's a charm). I also ordered the buffalo sliders, they were beyond bland and served with potato chips. The chips looked like someone trampled them before serving them up. The entire dish looked like something my 7 year old niece put together. My beer was good though! All in all, dirty table, poor service, train-wreck of a menu, bland food, and a darn good beer.

I used to love this place but ever since they added the new side I am not a fan. The seating in the back room is awkward. The couches they have are soo uncomfortable. The service used to be good, but the last visit was really bad. The waiter gave everything we ordered to the table next to us and everything those people ordered to us. It was a hot mess. Everything had to be second guessed, had to ask for things a few times, and he never knew answers to our questions. Towards the end we just had to laugh about how bad it was. Good news is he didnt even charge us for the bottle of wine we ordered. I guess having an inexperienced waiter paid off, literally.

This was the perfect spot for our 20 year high school reunion! Many thanks to Visal and all of the staff for making it memorable! Visal, thank you for always being so accommodating and helping with this whole process...including helping me being in everything and set it all up! You truly are an amazing person to work with and I know we will be coming to Flight 112 for any other future events!

We just made our first visit to the wine house on a Friday evening. Online it said live music, but when we arrived we found no music. It was an awfully small place but the Friday deals were okay. The wine was average. The crowd seemed to be a bit older and I was not amused that my friends and I could not have a good time because we apparently were interrupting everyone elses conversations but we were not loud. We could barely hear ourselves over the other crowd. I would not go there again. Experienced around: Jul 22, 2013

Great Restaurant!!! Serene atmosphere. Great Art on walls. Food is Fresh, eclectic, creative, verrrry Delish with reasonable prices. Met owner, always smiling and approachable- reflects atmosphere if place. Always has interesting collectable art by up and coming artists. And they are For sale at the restaurant. There is an interesting exhibition now by an artist named Maureen McCormick. Heavenly landscapes, flowers, nature. And don't forget the great food!

My wife and stopped in for and early Saturday night dinner. We had reservations in the patio which was nice. I ordered a brew called Gumble Head and they delivered a glass of beer with no bottle. It did not taste right so I requested the bottle and after 2 requests they brought out an unopened bottle to show me. I ordered another brew called Sumpin Sumpin ale and told them I wanted the full bottle delivered with a glass which they forgot to do. I think I may have been duped... The 3rd beer was past its expiration date. The dinner took over 2 hours to bring to the table which was after I threatened to leave. The waitress was friendly and appreciated our patience but did not come around much. Small plates were pretty good but Entrée was poor.

Flight 112 has a back patio now! OK, it's a former tiny parking lot, but with potted trees hiding the ugly, comfortable chairs and pretty lights, it's really pretty lovely back there. It's an excellent spot to enjoy a lovely summer night with a bottle of red wine and a chocolate torte to share. I really love Flight 112, and I only wish I had more excuses to come here. If you're looking for a spot to while away a few hours with delicious drinks and food ... look no further.

My husband took me here for my birthday the other week. The restaurant certainly lives up to its name in that it has an awesome list of flights to try - and not just beer or wine. We had a great cheese plate to start and then split the buffalo burger and pulled pork sliders (which were both scrumptious). We were not in a hurry, which is good because the service wasn't the fastest - but extremely friendly and helpful. I just wouldn't go here if you were wanting to grab a quick bite. The atmosphere is nice and intimate, and the music they were playing was if they were taking it right off my high school mix CD's (in a good way). We will definitely be coming here again, especially since its directly across the street from the train station.

Had a great first time at Flight 112 Wine House in Elmhurst, IL and shared a wine flight with the group and tried the Pinot Noir with the Bison Sliders and sweet potato fries, really good!! :) Will definitely go back to try the craft beer flight!!

My husband and I had an excellent experience at Flight 112 on Saturday night. The hostess was very welcoming, and led us into a beautifully decorated dining room, where we received gracious and attentive service from Devin. Food was delivered promptly, but we never felt rushed. We both tried wine flights, but noticed that wines by the bottle are very reasonably priced (especially the reserve wines). If you're tired of being overcharged for top of the line cabs, this is the place for you. Everything we ate was delicious. The hummus flight was a generous portion and flavors were great; my husband's pork chop was one of the best he's had; my salmon was light and flavorful. On our way out, the chef stopped us and asked if everything was prepared to our liking. I don't know what provoked some of the earlier so-so reviews, but whatever it was seems to have been corrected. We can't wait to return!
