I don't know about "world famous" but this pizza is some of the best thin crust pizza you will find in Dekalb county, for whatever that's worth. Beats the overrated, over-priced Pizza Villa by far and most certainly beats the crappy national chains. I have a couple of gripes though with this place, gripes that force me to rate WF 3 stars instead of five. My main gripe with WF is that they use way too much cheese, resulting in an extemely greasy pie, especially if it comes with any kind of meat. Now this wouldn't be a problem if the cooks actually listened to me when I ask them to only use 1/2 the amount of cheese they normally do, but no matter how I order it it comes out the same, drenched in enormous gobs of greasy cheese. It really bothers me when establishments can't seem to follow the most simple instructions or don't accomodate reasonable custom requests, it just seems to indicate that they don't really care enough to really listen to their customers and take that extra step to make them happy. My only other beef is that they only offer nasty, rubbery canned mushrooms! Even Dominos and Pappa Johns use fresh mushrooms these days! On a positive note, I think World Famous makes an amazing crust with great crispy texture, which makes the over-abundance of cheese even more tragic, as the crust gets soggy in the center from the grease overload. The sauce too is excellent, and the cheese is really tasty. If only they wouldn't go so far overboard on it. Sometimes less really is more.

We just got our Hawaiian + jalapenos pizza from world famous. My taste buds are testing my patience; I know the pizza is too hot and that if I eat it know I'll burn my mouth and be pissed I can no longer taste the high priests of pizza in DeKalb county. Yes...it's that good!

Went to use the bathroom and the soap bottle was filled with urine... Understandable for a collage bar but i had told 4 employees and within 2 hours it wad never delt with. The hand soap container filled with pee still renained there with a little less in the bottle probably from drunk people washing their hands with it. God damn stanleys its 2 bucks to get soap. Replace the pee bottle with more soap and listen to ur customers. Thats a health violation

Had the pizza tonight. 14" cheese with onion. It's bar pizza, there's not much to be expected from it and with that low hope going in, i was satisfied. At $13.50 for a 14" the pricing isn't bad, but i was happy to have a voucher for the pizza rather than pay for it. For inexpensive nights out with friends, this pizza isn't a bad choice. As a treat for myself, i can't think of a situation that this would ever make the top three choices list. Had nothing else off the menu, didn't visit Lord Stanley's/The Annex, only pick-up from World Famous. Don't trust the name. It's decent for DeKalb county.

Best pizza in town! The pizza is always cooked perfectly with quality ingredients. It's even great heated up in the oven the next day. Delivery is always quick and pickup is even quicker. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good pizza place in the DeKalb/Sycamore area.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza, potato skins, and poppers.... Pizza was pretty bad, not much to desire... the potato skins were alright but they were so extremely greasy I could hardly eat them. And the poppers weren't the typical deep fried with filling...it was a slice of a pepper with cream cheese. It was super spicy and super greasy just like the potato skins. A strong do not recommend

Easily my favorite pizza in DeKalb. Very greasy with a thick slab of cheese (neither of which is a complaint) and very habit-forming.

World Famous was cheap, delivery took about as long as they said it would, and they gave us a new pizza free when they delivered the wrong one (imagine our surprise at finding pepperoni hiding under our cheese). That's why it's 2 stars, not 1. We ordered a cheese pizza and and an order of willies, which are their equivalent of bread sticks -- deep-fried slabs of dough that were like tasteless sugarless donuts. In other words: gross. The pizza itself was super greasy. Now, we know pizza is supposed to be greasy, but this was excessive. Three layers of napkins later, it was still greasy. And the cheese was rubbery, even on the second pizza that wasn't overcooked. The crust was unremarkable. Not bad, but not good. There wasn't much sauce, and what there was was pretty bland. I think the appeal of World Famous is that it's okay when you're drunk at Lord Stanley's, but we must not have been drunk enough, because we won't order it again, and ended up throwing away the leftovers.
